The mean value of leaf water potential (LWP) of the mesophytes, the less-succulent xerophytes and the succulent xerephytes was –13.5, –18.09 and –26.09 bars respectively. The bound water content (BWC), and the ratio of bound water content to free water content (B/E ratio) for the succulent xerophytes (174.0% and 4.8) were higher than those for the mesophytes (52.5% and 0.37) and the less-succulent xerophytes (76.8% and 1.0). The transpiration rate of the mesophytes, less-succulent xerophytes and succulent xerophytes was 1146.5, 866.3 and 422.8 mg/g. fw. h respectively. The water holding capacity (WHC) of the succulent xerophytes was the strongest among those of the three types, while that of the mesophytes was the weakest. The xerophytes, both the succulent and the less-succulent, have the following xeromorphic structures: thick cuticle, sundan stomata, dense epidermal hairs, well-developed palisade tissue and degenerated spongy tissue, the high ratio of palisade tissue to spongy tissue, and equilateral leaves. Besides, succulent xerophytes possess other xeromorphic structures: thick leaves, well-developed water storing tissue, high ratio of water tissue to leaf thickness, and the succulent leaves. The mesophytes exhibit the following mesophilous structures, thin cuticle, levelling or arching up stomata, low ratio of palisade tissue to spongy tissue, and back-belly leaves.  相似文献

本文研究了我国荒漠15种不同类型植物的解剖结构。结果表明,超旱生和旱生植物具有典型的旱生结构,尤以超旱生植物明显,例如沙冬青、梭梭。 旱生结构的基本特征是:叶片及角质层厚,具表皮毛、腺毛、瘤状或乳状突起,气孔下陷,栅栏组织及贮水组织发达,构成等面叶及肉质叶,具含晶细胞和粘液细胞;维管束鞘、维管束帽及纤维细胞的存在,增强了植株的坚固性。中生植物叶片及角质层较薄:气孔平置或拱起,栅栏组织及海绵组织同等发育,胞间隙大,为背腹叶,这是典型的中生结构。  相似文献

The nine xerophytes grown in Gansu, i.e. Haloxylon persicum Bge., H. ammodendron Bge., Calligonum junceum Litw., C. arborescens Litw., C. leucocladum Bge., C. mongolicum Turcz., C. caput-medusae Schrenk, Hedysarum scoparium Fisch. et Mey. and Limonium aureum Hill., all, especially Haloxylon persicum, possessed distinct structural features of xeromorphism. Generally their leaves were extremely degenerated or exist as basal leaves. Photosynthesis was carried out by the young green twigs. The epidermis of which had thickened cell walls and were overlaid with thick cuticle. Underneath the epidermis it was the hypodermis. Inner to the hypodermis, the well developed palisade layer was shown to have cells containing abundant chloroplasts. Water-storing tissues with large cells were seen central to the palisade tissue. In tran- sverse section, the ratio of the cortex width and stem diameter was greater than that of mesophytes. In contrast, the ratio of cortex width and root diameter was smaller. Crystal cells or mucilage cells probably of xeromorphic charateristics were generally present in these xerophyes.  相似文献

 骆驼蓬是生长在荒漠或盐碱地区的旱生植物,具有显著的旱生结构特征。主根粗壮,其中柱周围产生2或3轮呈同心环状排列的异常维管束。这种异常结构对旱生植物具有重要的生态学意义。茎肉质,其皮层、韧皮部,尤其是髓内具有发达的贮水薄壁组织细胞。叶片肉质,光滑无毛。其表皮细胞的外切向壁有较厚的角质层,表面具皱纹状突起。气孔器与表皮细胞平齐,面积较大,而密度较小。栅栏组织发达,为环栅型,包围着发达的贮水组织。叶脉维管束不发达。其叶表面积与体积之比远比中生植物小。根据以上营养器官形态结构特征,可以认为骆驼蓬是典型的多浆汁旱生植物。  相似文献

利用叶片离析法和石蜡切片法研究了补血草属4种植物叶片的形态结构。结果表明:(1)4种植物的叶片有许多共同的结构适应特征,表皮细胞排列紧密,表面有厚的角质层;气孔类型均为不等型,气孔位置为平置或略微下陷;上下表皮还具有多细胞构成的盐腺;栅栏组织发达,多为等面叶;存在粘液细胞和单宁细胞;机械组织和维管组织都不发达等。(2)不同种间有不同的结构适应特征,如表皮细胞的形状、大小、垂周壁饰样,气孔密度,盐腺密度,叶片厚度和栅栏组织厚度等。通过叶的结构特征反映出盐生植物与旱生植物的不同。  相似文献

A quantitative anatomical study of the stem structure of grasses of various ecological groups: xerophytes, mespohytes, ephemers, hydrophytes and psammophytes (a total of 30 species) was carried out. The proportions of the various tissues in the stem were expressed as a percentage of the cross-sectional area of the stem. Stems of hydrophytes were found to have only small proportion of mechanical (4-8%) and conducting (2-5%) tissues but a large pro. portion of parenchyma (85-93% - primary cortex and basic parenchyma) and air system (38-40% - parenchyma channels or specialized aerenchyma). The stems of xerophytes possess a highly developed sclerenchyma (30-50%) and vessel bundles (6-13%) while the parenchyma is less developed (36-60%). The cells of the stems of hydrophytes are larger than those of xerophytes, but the cell membranes are thinner. The structure of mesophytes is intermediate between that of hydrophytes and xerophytes and the structure of ephemers is very similar to that of mesophytes. Psammophytes differ from xerophytes in having more mesomorphous features.  相似文献

寒区不同海拔橘黄罂粟叶片结构特征的比较研究   总被引:6,自引:4,他引:6  
橘黄罂粟(Papaver croceum Ldb.)采自乌鲁木齐河源区海拔3600m、2500m两种海拔高度,采用PEG和Epon-812两次包埋方法.在光学显微镜和扫描电子显微镜下叶片剖面结构进行了观察。结果显示:橘黄罂粟叶片既具有中生植物又兼有旱生和湿生植物的部分结构特征,其叶片厚度、表皮细胞外壁角质层表面、外角质层蜡质分泌物的有无、表皮细胞形状、气孔密度、气孔大小、维管束形态组成、CTR值、叶肉细胞叶绿体含量等性状特征,在不同生境的橘黄罂粟间呈现出明显差异;而表皮毛状附属器等性状则差异较小。数值分析叶结构各类性状以及不同性状状态的组合.显示出橘黄罂粟个体形态的多样性与生境的海拔高度相关,并以形态结构上的变化来适应寒区高山环境。  相似文献

Alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.) plants differ in nectar volume production per floret. These differences are heritable, but no information is available on what type of structural variation may be responsible for these differences. One high, one intermediate, and one low nectar-volume-producing clone was selected from each of two alfalfa cultivars. Results from light and scanning electron microscopy indicated that alfalfa has an annular nectary located on the staminal column and primarily on the receptacle. It is composed of several cell layers subtended by vascular bundles containing both xylem and phloem. Vascular tissue does not extend into nectariferous tissue. Permanently open stomata are present in the epidermal layer and are thought to function in nectar secretion. These stomata did not respond to stimuli known to affect leaf stomata. Number of stomata per nectary among the six clones ranged from 24.7 ± 1.9 to 6.8 ± 0.5. Nectar-reservoir diameters among clones ranged from 1.07 ± 0.09 mm to 0.70 ± 0.01 mm. Clones producing the most nectar were characterized by a large nectar reservoir and moderate to high numbers of stomata.  相似文献

通过石蜡切片法对外来入侵植物小花山桃草进行解剖学方面的研究,旨在揭示其入侵和蔓延的结构基础。结果表明:小花山桃草根的次生结构中次生木质部所占比例较大,约占整个横切面的2/3,导管数量多,平均达138.25个,管腔大,管径为85.37 μm;根和茎的木栓层均较发达,由6~7层扁平细胞组成;根和茎的次生韧皮部中存在大量含针晶细胞;小花山桃草的叶具典型的旱生植物叶片的结构特征:表皮为复表皮,上下表皮均有气孔分布,上表皮气孔密度为180 mm-2,下表皮气孔密度为266 mm-2;栅栏组织为双栅型,近轴面栅栏组织细胞2~3层,排列紧密而整齐,含叶绿体较多;叶片主脉木质部发达,由多列导管组成。上述特征说明小花山桃草的解剖结构对干旱生境有较强的适应性。  相似文献

The proline content of mesophytes, less-succulent xerophytes and succulent xerophytes were 0.42, 1.73 and 7.22 mg/g·dw·h respectively. The latter is 17 and 4 times both of the formers. The proline content of xerophytes-both succulent and less-succulent, under non-irrigation condition was higher than that under irrigation condition. The photosynthetic rates of less-succulent and succulent xerophytes were 16.74 and 14.04 CO2 mg/g·dw·h respectively, without clear difference between them. The photosynthetic rate of mesophyte (37.57 CO2 mg/g·dw·h) was more than 2 times that of two types of xerophytes. The respiratory rate of less-succulent xerophytes, succulent xerophytes and mesophytes were 6.27, 4.73 and 7.60 CO2 mg/g·dw·h respectively. The ratios of photosynthetic rate to respiratory rate in less-succulent xerophytes, succulent xerophytes and mesophytes were 2.50, 3.09 and 4.59 CO2 mg/g·dw·h respectively. This fact indicated that the carbon assimilatory process of mesophyte was evidently higher than the respiratory process for all the two types of plants. There was no obvious difference between the total contents of chlorophyll in the three types of plants.  相似文献

用LI-1600稳态气孔仪,测定了河西地区分布较广的五种木本植物的蒸腾和传导率及环境因子。只要光照不低于气孔开启所需的强度,植物蒸腾率最高点之前的高低变化与叶温上升的速率无关,而仅与每一时刻叶温高低密切相关。在种内,蒸腾率大致随叶的厚度和单位叶面积的栅栏组织表面积的增大而提高。但种间则无此相关性。同一样本叶的上下表面蒸腾率之比与其气孔数之比相对应,而种间则毫无关系。环境条件大致相同情况下,二白杨(Populus kansuensis)全天蒸腾量为78.2gH2O·dm-2,沙枣(Elaeagnus angustifolia)为40,4gH2O·dm-2。分别是箭杆杨(P.nigra var.thevestina)的2.5和1.3倍。同一灌溉条件下,梨光杏(Prunus armeniaca var.glabra)为26.7gH2O·dm-2,比毛杏(P.armeniaca var.ansu)高0.6倍。  相似文献

Germination, penetration and sporulation of Cercospora henningsii (Allesch.) on cassava leaves were studied by scanning electron microscopy. Conidia started to germinate 9 h postinoculation producing one to two germ tubes. The germ tubes entered the leaf tissue through the abaxial surface by direct penetration of the epidermis without forming appressoria. The cassava leaf is characterized by its papillose epidermis on the abaxial surface. The penetrations occurred at smooth areas of the leaf epidermis between the papillae. The germ tubes did not enter stomata even when they passed over stomatal openings. Leaf spots started to appear 9 days after the inoculation (dpi), and the emergence of conidia occurred 14 dpi. The symptoms appeared first on the abaxial leaf surface, followed 2 days later on the adaxial. Conidia emerged in clusters through ruptured epidermis on both sides of the leaves. Conidia emerged also through the epidermal papillae and the leaf veins. Even though small groups of conidia emerged through stomata also, emergence through stomata appeared to be random rather than a preferred route. Each conidium was born on a short conidiophore with a swollen base.  相似文献

基于中蒙典型草原不同放牧方式,研究了不同放牧方式下中蒙典型草原植物功能群特征。结果显示,内蒙古定居放牧样地多年生草本比例显著低于其它放牧样地,比例为57.576%;而旱生植物比例显著高于其它放牧样地,比例为69.697%。蒙古四季游牧样地功能群多样性指数和优势度指数均高于内蒙古放牧样地,均匀度指数与多样性指数相反。功能群多样性指数与优势度指数间呈显著正相关(r>0.855,P<0.05);均匀度与多样性指数、优势度指数间均呈负相关。多年生和一年生草本植物、旱生和中旱生植物的生态位宽度均较大,从而导致多年生与一年生植物间、旱生与中旱生植物间生态位重叠值相应较大。说明,不合理的放牧导致草原植被群落退化,降低草原生态经济价值。  相似文献

The cuticle micromorphology of the leaves of the monospecific genus Saxegothaea (Podocarpaceae) was studied by scanning electron microscopy. The external and internal features of the adaxial and abaxial surfaces were characterized. The leaves are hypostomatic. The external adaxial cuticle is rugose with irregular ridges and shallow trench‐like structures that do not correspond to any feature of the inner cuticle surface. The external abaxial cuticle has densely crowded stomata arranged in two bands. The stomata are sunken with pronounced, interrupted Florin rings. Stomatal plugs were not observed. Internally, the adaxial epidermal cells are usually rectangular to square; the abaxial epidermal cells are mainly restricted to the midrib and margins and narrowly rectangular; any among the stomata are irregularly shaped. The stomata are nearly all in direct contact. They show unusual features, including an extra pair of cuticular flanges between the guard cell flanges and those of the lateral subsidiary cells, and ‘bridges’ of lateral subsidiary cell tissue extending polewards above the polar extensions to unite with those at their tips. Neither of these features has been reported previously in Podocarpaceae. The results are discussed in the light of recent phylogenetic studies. Xeromorphic features of three stem assimilants in relation to their ecology   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
The anatomy of the assimilating stems of three brooms (Fabaceae) all show distinct xeromorphic features in their tissues, but these are developed to different degrees. The epidermis consists of very thick, cutinized outer walls, deeply sunken stomata, and a dense layer of trichomes, at least in younger steins. In older sterns some of the stomata are blocked by cell-plugs. The chlorenchyma is multilayered. The main supporting tissue consists of peripheral gelatinous fibre strands. It is argued that these may function in water storage. Parenchymatous water storage cells are present in the pith of two species. The structure and function of the xeromorphic features are discussed in relation to the ecology of the plants.  相似文献

The present study was designed to study the effect of drought on root, stem and leaf anatomy of Astragalus gombiformis Pomel. Several root, stem and leaf anatomical parameters (cross section diameter, cortex, root cortical cells, pith, leaf lamina and mesophyll thickness) were reduced under moderate to severe water deficit (20–30 days of withheld irrigation). The stele/cross section root ratio increased under moderate water deficit. The root’s and stems vascular systems showed reduced xylem vessel diameter and increased wall thickness under water deficit. In addition, the root xylem vessel density was increased in these drought conditions while it was unchanged in the stems. The stomata density was increased under prolonged drought conditions whereas the stomata size was untouched. The leaf vascular system showed reduced xylem and phloem tissue thickness in the main vein under moderate to severe water deficit. However, in the lamina the vascular tissue and the distance between vascular bundle were unaffected. Our findings suggest a complex network of anatomical adaptations such as a reduced vessel size with increased wall thickness, lesser cortical and mesophyll parenchyma formation and increased stomata density. These proprieties are required for the maintenance of water potential and energy storage under water stress which can improve the resistance of A. gombiformis to survive in arid areas.  相似文献

Concurrent observations of soil water potential and leaf stomata diffusion resistance were made on two, plots of wheat grown at Datun Agro-ecological Experimental Station in Beijing under two different soil water conditions. These data were further complemented by weather and physiological observation. In this paper, we mainly analysed the influence of soil water potential on the status of wheat leaf stomatal resistance. The results indicate that: (1) there is a obvious influence of soil water potential on the status of wheat leaf stomata under normal conditions and (2) there is a different upper and lower epidermis stomata of wheat leaf respond to the soil water potential. The lower epidermis stomata are more sensitive to soil water potential than upper epidermis one. (3) There is a linear relationship between the ratio of lower and upper epidermis stomata resistance and soil water potential in root layer, according to this we can diagnose the degree of wheat water deficit.  相似文献

Abstract

The pre-penetration and infection process of Colletotrichum dematium on mulberry leaf was investigated by scanning electron microscope. Conidia produced on germination appressoria directly or at the end of short germ tubes. Appressoria were formed mostly over cuticle, but sometimes over stomata also. At 72 h post-inoculation, an extensive network of sub-cuticular runner hyphae (RH) was produced. The RH were traceable by the cuticular bulgings on leaf surface. The RH emerged to leaf surface through ruptured cuticle to form secondary infection hyphae (SIH). The SIH re-entered the leaf tissue by sending penetration branches through stomata. Conidia were formed singly on short conidiophores from the RH and SIH, at short intervals. The conidia developed on RH were exposed to leaf surface through ruptured cuticle. Some times conidia were released through stomata also. The RH and SIH had thick knots from which hyphal branches and conidia were developed. Definite acervuli were not developed.  相似文献
