Lacquer polysaccharide (LP) was isolated from the sap of lac tree (Rhus vernicifera). Its derivatives, carboxymethyl LP, sulfated LP and debranching LP were prepared. Their structure was analyzed by GPC, FT-IR and NMR spectroscopy. The sugar components of carboxymethyl and sulfated LPs hardly changed, but the molecular weight of the former decreased. The side chains of LPs were partially removed using sodium periodate in mild conditions and the pyranose ring β-configuration of products obtained was not changed. Bioactivity of natural and modified LPs against leukopenia induced by cyclophosphamide (CP) was investigated in mice. LP exhibited a significant bioactivity (P<0.05) compared to positive control group (CP). The bioactivity could increase slightly with the increasing of the contents of carboxymethyl groups. However, with the removal of the side chains and the incorporation of sulfate groups, the bioactivity gradually decreased. These showed that the bioactivity of lacquer polysaccharides against leukopenia induced by CP was strongly dependent on the types of ionic groups of the polysaccharides and concerned with the side chains with 4-O-methyl-β-glucuronic acid in the terminal.  相似文献

Sulfation of Chinese lacquer polysaccharides in different solvents   总被引:5,自引:0,他引:5  
A branched ionic polysaccharide isolated from the sap of the Chinese lac tree (Rhus vernicifera) was chemically modified by sulfation using sulfur trioxide–pyridine (SO3·Py) complex as a reagent. Effects of molar ratio of SO3·Py complex to sugar unit, reaction time and reaction temperature on degree of sulfation (DS) and molecular weights of products were studied. Solvent was another important factor affecting sulfation reaction. In different solvents, when the other conditions remained constant, DS and molecular weights were in the following order: DMSO>DMF>FA (formamide) and DMSO3·Py complex. Based on these, we deduced that degradation of polysaccharide in the sulfation reaction process involved both dehydrolysis and hydrolytic degradation.  相似文献

In Japan, lacquered artifacts and remains of lacquer processing became common items in the early Jomon period beginning at ca. 6300 b.p. (ca. 5300 cal b.c.). However, there was no archaeobotanical evidence that Rhus verniciflua (lacquer tree), which is thought to be a prehistoric introduction from China on botanical grounds, grew in Japan until its distinction in wood structure from those of native Rhus species was clarified in 2004. Based on this new refinement in identification, 573 Rhus fossil woods so far reported from various archaeological sites in Japan were re-identified. The results showed that R. verniciflua commonly grew in middle to northern Honshu since the early Jomon period and that it may have been introduced from China with other cultivated plants before that time. During the Jomon period, R. verniciflua trees were used not just for lacquer collection, but also for building in the lowland which exploited their durability in waterlogged conditions.  相似文献

Structure and molecular weight of Asian lacquer polysaccharides   总被引:3,自引:0,他引:3  
Structural analysis of Asian lacquer polysaccharides in Vietnam, Myanmar, Cambodia, Taiwan, and Japan was carried out by a combination of chemical and physical methods, and then their structures were compared with that of a Chinese lacquer polysaccharide reported previously. It was found that the structure of polysaccharides in China and Japan, Taiwan and Vietnam, Myanmar and Cambodia, was similar to each other. The polysaccharides in Myanmar and Cambodia had larger amounts of -arabinose and -rhamnose than those in other Asian lacquer polysaccharides. In addition, the degradation process of lacquer polysaccharide was revealed for the first time by the time-course of GPC measurements of polysaccharide in Aizu, Japan. The results suggest that the molecular weight of polysaccharide in lacquer tree had around with narrow molecular weight distribution and then decreased gradually into two molecular weight fractions of and 23×103 in the proportion of 25 and 75 mol% isolated after 3 weeks.  相似文献

The reaction product of enzymic dehydrogenation of alpha-hydroxy-gamma-carboxymuconic epsilon-semialdehyde (HCMS) was isolated. The analytical data (elemental analyses, IR spectra, mass spectra, proton NMR spectra, and UV spectra) showed that the product was not alpha-hydroxy-gamma-carboxymuconic acid (HCMA), the expected primary product of HCMS dehydrogenation, but a lactone of HCMA. The structure of the lactone was tentatively determined as alpha-pyrone-4,6-dicarboxylic acid. HCMS was converted stoichiometrically to the lactone by the purified NAD(P)-linked HCMS dehydrogenase. The lactone was actively metabolized by a cell-free extract prepared from Pseudomonas ochraceae grown on phthalic acid, suggesting that it may be a metabolic intermediate in the bacterial metabolism of protocatechuic acid. Furthermore, a method for the chemical synthesis of the lactose of HCMA is presented and some of its chemical and biochemical properties are described.  相似文献

Does Donglan lacquer tree belong to Rhus vernicifera species?   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
The lacquer trees in Donglan of Guangxi Province, China, were identified totally as the species Rhus succedanea found in Vietnam and Taiwan region, based on the results of pyrolysis-gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (Py-GC/MS), an easy and effective method to identify species of trees among those with similar properties. Analyses by IR and NMR, the drying properties, and conventional morphology also confirmed that the Donglan lacquer trees do not belong to Rhus vernicifera, like most trees of the China mainland. Some differences, however, such as the enzymatic activity and the components of the lacquer, were found between the Donglan lacquer and the Vietnam lacquer. The Donglan lacquer has a shorter drying time than the latter.  相似文献

The lactone profile of six origins of Achillea collina growing in Bulgaria was studied and significant variability was observed. The reasons for the differences in the lactone composition are discussed. Twenty-five components in total were isolated and identified, while the presence of ten lactones was proved by intensive TLC analysis in comparison with reference compounds. The structures of the components 17, 20, 25-30 were established by spectroscopic methods. The structure of 7, a cyclization product of 6, was also discussed. The anti-inflammatory activity of some extracts, fractions and individual compounds was tested in vitro by determining the inhibitory effects on induced human neutrophils.  相似文献

Ganglioside GD3 was converted at room temperature to two stable lactones, denoted as GD3 lactones I and II. The reaction sequence was presumed to be GD3----GD3 lactone I----GD3 lactone II based on the time course of their production. Lactone I behaved as a monosialoganglioside and lactone II as a neutral species. The two lactones were isolated by DEAE-Sephadex column chromatography. The positions of the inner ester linkages were investigated by two-dimensional J-correlated proton NMR spectroscopy. An ester linkage was most likely formed between the carboxyl group of the external sialic acid residue and C9-OH of the internal sialic acid residue in lactone I. In addition to this ester linkage, a second ester linkage between the carboxyl group of the internal sialic acid and C2-OH of the galactose residue was likely formed in lactone II. The structural changes induced by lactonization were further examined by their reactivity with the monoclonal antibody R24 (Puckel, C. S., Lloyd, K. O., Travassos, L. R., Dippold, W. G., Oettgen, H. F., and Old, L. J. (1982) J. Exp. Med. 155, 1133-1147), which reacted with GD3. R24 was found to bind weakly to GD3 lactone I, but not to GD3 lactone II. The results suggest that the monoclonal antibody requires both sialic acid residues for high affinity binding, and the complete lactonization results in a loss of negative charges and/or a change in the overall conformation of the oligosaccharide moiety which may account for the loss of binding.  相似文献

A new steroidal lactone of the Withanolide A series has been isolated from the supercritical fluid extract of Eucalyptus globulus L. (bark) as a major component (I) along with a known structurally similar steroidal lactone as minor component (II). The structural identification of the new lactone was accomplished by different spectroscopic techniques viz. 1H and 13C NMR, etc. The relative stereochemistry was unequivocally determined from the X-ray crystallography.  相似文献

A new limonoid, 17-dehydrolimonoate A-ring lactone (III), was isolated from orange peel, juice and lemon seeds and seedlings. This compound which is non-bitter appears to be an initial product of limonoate A-ring lactone (II) metabolism. As such it may be the initial intermediate in at least one debittering pathway in citrus fruits.  相似文献

Four lactone diterpenes and two related glucosides with a labdane skeleton have been isolated from the aquatic plant Potamogeton natans. The structures of three new compounds were determined as 19-acetoxy-20-oxo-8(17),13-ent-labdadien-15-->16 lactone, 8(17), 13-ent-labdadien-15-->16,19-->20 dilactone and 6'-acetyl-19-glucopyranosyloxy-8(17),13-ent-labdadien-15-->16 lactone, respectively, by means of spectral analysis.
