In Tenebrio molitor, the fat body contains several factors able to control the evolution of the pupal ovary in vitro. One or several factors soluble in ether inhibit the initiation of oöcyte growth. One or several factors insoluble in ether stimulate the course of this growth, folicle organization, and the appearance of the transitory zone. The inhibitory action of the fat body is greatest towards the middle of the pharate adult stage. The stimulatory action of this organ is maximum at the beginning of pupal life and during the approach of adult ecdysis.  相似文献

In Mesogea, the Harpoceratinae were known asearly as the end of the Lower Carixian. They later reached the sub-boreal province through the Alps or the South of the Iberic Peninsula. The analysis of the populations met in four crosssections of the Lower Domerian (Causses, Mâconnais, Franche-Comté, Portugal) showed the settling down of the Protogrammoceras isseli group that set up and evoluated in a similar way in the different areas in spite of a certain originality.On the one hand, it gave the cladogenetic groupP. monestieri-nitescens by diminution of the ribing density, strengthening of the ribs and simplification of the suture.On the other hand, a slower evolution give, near the end of the Stokesi zone, P. normanianum in the Paris Basin and in Burgundy, and P. lusitanicum in Portugal. At the same time, a new invader, P. celebratum, arrived in the Causses (and in Portugal).  相似文献

Tomato alcohol dehydrogenase has been purified 99-fold by affinity chromatography on Blue Sepharose CL-6B with 37% yield. The enzyme so obtained is homogenous in polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis. By adding 20% glycerol to the extraction and purification buffers, an enzyme is obtained which is stable for several months at 4°. The molecular weight values determined by gel filtration (Sephadex G 200) and polyacrylamide gradient gel electrophoresis on one hand and by polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis in sodium dodecyl sulfate on the other, show that the enzyme exists in dimeric form.  相似文献

The marine Albain from Estremadura is splited up into four Orbitolinidae zones, adjusted to biostratigraphic scales from mesogean province: zone with Orbitolina (Mesorbitolina) minuta (lower to middle Albian); zone with Neorbitolinopsis conulus (base of upper Albian); zone with Orbitolina (Orbitolina) concava (top of upper Albian) and zone with Orbitolina (Orbitolina) duranddelgai (Vraconian). The vertical extension of the main fossils is replaced in the framework of these zones. The most interesting species for biostratigraphy, paleoecology or taxinomy are summarily described.  相似文献

TornquistesLemoine, considered still now as a subgenusof Pachyceras is up graduated to a genus level in the family PachyceratidaeBuckman. The study of this genus, only known in the upper part of Lower Oxfordian and the lower part of the Middle Oxfordian, shows six species; one of them, T. multicostatum, is new. These species are put in two sub-genus, Tornquistes s. str. and a new subgenus, Pachytornquistes. Some species are polymorph and for the first time, macroconch-microconch dimorphism is proved. Phyletic connections, stratigraphic repartition, paleobiogeographic distribution and their consequences are pointed out in conclusion.  相似文献

According to the classical stratigraphical conceptions, the Belgian Heersian was classified in the Landenian, and assigned to the basal Lower Eocene. It is composed of marine Sands of Orp-le-Grand, which contain a riche selacian fauna, also of Gelinden Marls covering and interpenetrating the Sands.Among the vertebrate remains recently discovered at Maret en Brabant in the marl facieswithin the Sands was a small tooth which represents the first mammalian remain from the Heersian, and attests the occurence of the insectivorous genus Adapisorex, hitherto known from the paleocene localities of Cernay-les-Reims and Walbeck. The specimen from Maret en Brabant reopens the question of the age of the Belgian Heersian and supports its classification within the Paleocene, according to paleobotanical data and indications obtained from the selacian fauna.  相似文献

In the Seine estuary, nitrification is a major process involved in the oxygen budget, together with photosynthesis, heterotrophic bacterial degradation and reaeration. Within the framework of the Seine-Aval programme, we attempted to further understand the process using a molecular approach that was expected to detect nitrifying bacteria, and also to quantify them. On the basis of the PCR approach using specific primers of the genus Nitrobacter, we coupled a competitive PCR method in order to quantify these Nitrobacter, a genus widely distributed in freshwater aquatic ecosystems. This molecular approach was conducted in parallel with a measurement of potential nitrifying with a 14C radiotracing method. We showed that Nitrobacter represent less than 0.1% of the total bacterial community, as determined by epifluorescence microscopy, and that potential nitrifying activity increased with Nitrobacter numbers. Following that methodological step demonstrating a real feasibility, a possible relationship between these two measurements is expected on the basis of five longitudinal field studies already realised.  相似文献

Melezitose [O-α-d-glucopyranosyl-(1→3)-β-d-fructofuranosyl α-d-glucopyranoside] monohydrate crystallizes in two polymorphic forms (I and II). The structure of form II, studied by X-ray crystallography, shows an orthorhombic cell having a 7.135 (4), b 15.362 (8), c 19.134 (8) Å, space group P212121, and Z 4. The structure, solved by direct methods, was refined to a final value of R 0.045. The molecule of form II seems to be more constrained by its crystalline environment than that of form I. These constraints imply not only little variations in glycosidic bonds, but also a change of conformation for the furanose ring, and a perceptible deformation of the sucrose pyranose ring. This study gives an example of estimation of oligosaccharide molecular-flexibility.  相似文献

The Ypresian locality of Burnham-on-Crouch(Essex) has yielded numerous Selachian species, some of which are new: Hexanchus agassizi sp. nov., Scyliorhinus burnhamensis sp. nov., S. casieri sp. nov., S. pattersoni sp. nov., S. woodwardi sp. nov., Pararhincodon ypresiensis sp. nov., Triakis wardi sp. nov., Mustelus whitei sp. nov. The Hexanchid teeth classicaly refered to Notidanus serratissimusAg. include in fact two separate species belonging to different genera: Notorhynchus serratissimus (Ag.) and Hexanchus agassizi sp. nov. Lamna affinis (Casier) is arranged in the genus Isurolamna nov. in consideration of his dental peculiarities. The genus Burnhamia nov. is created for Rhinoptera daviesiWoodward that can be regarded as a Mobulid. Oxyrhina sheppeyensisCasier must be classified in the genus Anomotodon. The genus Triakis, Mustelus, Anomotodon and Pararhincodon are pointed out for the first time in the Ypresian.  相似文献

The historian, archaeologist, and naturalist Charles de Gerville (1769–1853) reported as early as January 1816 the presence of fossil bones in the quarries of the region of Valognes, in the department of Manche. These quarries exploited the “Calcaire de Valognes” and the underlying “Argiles et Calcaires d’Huberville”, both formations dated as Lower Hettangian (Lower Jurassic). De Gerville communicated to Jacques-Louis-Marin Defrance a watercolour drawing of one of these fossil bones, discovered in July 1820, in which it is possible to recognize a plesiosaur femur. This femur, as well as a fragment of rib and three vertebrae of Plesiosauria from de Gerville's collection, was then figured in a publication by Arcisse de Caumont, in 1825. The plesiosaur femur was later acquired by Pierre Tesson of Caen, who owned one of the most important collections of fossils in Normandy. The Tesson collection was later purchased in 1857 by the British Museum (now The Natural History Museum, London), where the femur has been rediscovered. This specimen is the first known plesiosaur specimen ever discovered in the Lower Jurassic of France, before the genus Plesiosaurus was established upon material from the Lias of southwestern England. One of the vertebrae figured by de Caumont has been rediscovered in the “Muséum Emmanuel-Liais” (Cherbourg-en-Cotentin), which had acquired part of de Gerville's collection. The interpretation of the “fossil bones of Valognes” by Georges Cuvier, Henri Marie Ducrotay de Blainville, Arcisse de Caumont, Jacques-Amand Eudes-Deslongchamps and Constant Duméril is revealed through unpublished documents.  相似文献

From the Aptian scolecodonts inventory of the Agadir area one jaw apparatus and one joining of polychetes are reconstructed. One is the elementary species Schistomeringos expectatusSzaniawski & Gazdzicki, 1978, the oldest representative of the multielementary family Dorvilleidae Chamberlin 1919. The other is a representative of either the multielementary families Atraktoprionidae Kielan Jaworowska 1966 emend. Kozur, 1970 or Arabellidae Hartman 1944. This joining is considered as an hypothesis since all the necessary criteria, defined by H. Szaniawski & A. Gazdzicki 1978, are not all present.  相似文献

Among the abundant remains of Mesosuchia that have been yielded by the early Senonian locality of In Beceten (Niger), the most numerous belong to the species Trematochampsa taquetiBuffetaut, 1974. The osteology of this species is described here. This medium-sized crocodilian, with a moderately elongated skull, is characterized, among other features, by its antorbital fenestra, its surangular-quadratojugal articulation, its slightly displaced post-orbital pillar, its teeth with wrinkled enamel, and its amphicoelous vertebrae. In its general outlook, this animal is rather reminiscent of the Goniopholidae, from the Upper Jurassic and the Cretaceous of Laurasia, but it is more primitive than them, and resemblances are probably due to convergence phenomena. The family Trematochampsidae is probably essentially Gondwanian, and could persist until the Senonian thanks to a certain isolation from Laurasia, where more progressive Crocodylia became predominant much earlier than in Africa and South America.  相似文献

Paleontologists' traditional conceptions on evolution do not seem to be in perfect accord with these of biologists. The gradual phyletism is compatible neither with E. Mayr's model of the Founder, nor with the actual stability of most of the paleontological species. The punctuated equilibrium model proposed by N. Eldredge & S.J. Three species of irregular see-urchins form the settlement of a marly level (lower Hauterivian) of the Castellane area. Two of them are strongly smaller than the norm. Ammonites diartianus d'Orbigny is a Vascocerasoof late Cenomanian (Sciponoceras gracile Zone) age, occuring in both Sarthe (France) and southern England. It is the earliest vascoceratid known from France, and its recognition is of great significance, lending support to recent suggestions that the classic Vascoceras gamai - mundaeChoffat group are of Upper Cenomanian age.  相似文献

A kinetic study of the effect of antimycin A on succinate oxidase from plant mitochondria produced sigmoidal curves for the reduction of cytochromes b560 and b585 and for the inhibition of succinate oxidase. In the stationary state the interaction of the various components of the respiratory chain (flavins, ubiquinone, cytochromes…) occurs in a sequential mode which allows the application of simple equations utilizing rate constants and cytochrome concentrations. In these equations, it is assumed that there exists an excess of ubiquinone relative to other components of the respiratory chain as suggested by Kröger & Klingenberg (1970) and that the reoxidation of b cytochromes is fast. The inhibition by antimycin A, characterized by non-linear inhibition curves for succin-oxidase and inhibitor fixation in complex III on a component other than cytochrome c1, is interpreted in terms of this model. This hypothesis presupposes the existence of an F factor between cytochrome b560 and cytochrome c1 as suggested by other authors. Utilizing these equations, theoretical curves for the inhibition of the reduction of cytochrome b560 have been constructed and the results agree with the experimental data. The kinetic behavior of cytochrome b566 during the induction of anaerobiosis suggests that it is not directly involved in the electron transfer chain but rather is either in thermodynamic equilibrium with cytochrome b560 or in a shunt between cytochrome b560 and factor F. From the experimental data, an equation is derived for the inhibition of the reduction of cytochrome b566 by antimycin A. The actual effects of ATP and mClCCP on succinoxidase agree well with those predicted by the model.  相似文献

Since it is impossible to state about any genericassignment for Orthis berthoisiRouault, 1849the species name is herein restricted to original specimens figured by the author. The study of the Brachiopods from the St-Germain-sur-Ille Formation allows to confirm the first determination by De Tromelin &Lebesconte (1875)and to establish their conspecificity with Orthis berthoisi var. erratica described in 1869 by Davidson from the Budleigh-Salterton pebbles. The successive assignment of the species erratica to the genus Svobodaina(Cocks, 1978) then to Corineorthis(Cocks & Lockley, 1981) is discussed. The attribution to the genus DrabovinellaHavlicek, 1951appears most likely.  相似文献
