Reaction of five 4R-benzaldehyde thiosemicarbazones (R = OCH3, CH3, H, Cl and NO2) with [Ru(PPh3)3(CO)(H)Cl] in refluxing methanol in the presence of a base (NEt3) affords complexes of two different types, viz. 1-R and 2-R. In the 1-R complexes the thiosemicarbazone is coordinated to ruthenium as a dianionic tridentate C,N,S-donor via C-H bond activation. Two triphenylphosphines and a carbonyl are also coordinated to ruthenium. The tricoordinated thiosemicarbazone ligand is sharing the same equatorial plane with ruthenium and the carbonyl, and the PPh3 ligands are mutually trans. In the 2-R complexes the thiosemicarbazone ligand is coordinated to ruthenium as a monoanionic bidentate N,S-donor forming a four-membered chelate ring with a bite angle of 63.91(11)°. Two triphenylphosphines, a carbonyl and a hydride are also coordinated to ruthenium. The coordinated thiosemicarbazone ligand, carbonyl and hydride constitute one equatorial plane with the metal at the center, where the carbonyl is trans to the coordinated nitrogen of the thiosemicarbazone and the hydride is trans to the sulfur. The two triphenylphosphines are trans. Structures of the 1-CH3 and 2-CH3 complexes have been determined by X-ray crystallography. All the complexes show intense transitions in the visible region, which are assigned, based on DFT calculations, to transitions within orbitals of the thiosemicarbazone ligand. Cyclic voltammetry on the complexes shows two oxidations of the coordinated thiosemicarbazone on the positive side of SCE and a reduction of the same ligand on the negative side.  相似文献

The bulky phosphine ligands di-tert-butyl(1-naphthyl)phosphine (1) or di-tert-butyl(N-indolyl)phosphine (2) react at room temperature with [(μ-SMe2)PtMe2]2. Coordination of the phosphine and C-H bond activation at an sp2 carbon of the ligand with the release of methane takes place to form the PC cyclometalated products [(PC)PtMe(SMe2)] (3 or 4, respectively). The cyclometalated complexes 3 and 4 have both been characterized by X-ray crystallography. Complexes 3 and 4 were each observed to undergo intermolecular activation of arene C-H bonds. Upon thermolysis in benzene, complexes 3 and 4 react to eliminate methane and yield isolable platinum(II)-phenyl complexes.  相似文献

Reaction of thiosemicarbazones of salicylaldehyde, 2-hydroxyacetophenone and 2-hydroxynaphthaldehyde with Ni(ClO4)2·6H2O, using 2,2′-bipyridine as coligand, afforded three dinuclear complexes (1a, 1b and 1c). Similar reactions using 2,2′:6′2″-terpyridine as coligand yielded three mononuclear complexes (2a, 2b and 2c). Crystal structures of 1b and 2a have been determined. In the dinuclear complexes, one nickel center is surrounded octahedrally by a dianionic O,N,S-donor thiosemicarbazone, a bipyridine and the bridging phenolate oxygen of the other thiosemicarbazone. The second nickel center adopts a square-planar geometry created by the second O,N,S-coordinated thiosemicarbazone and the bridging sulfur of the first thiosemicarbazone. In the mononuclear complexes nickel is complexed by a monoanionic O,N,S-coordinated thiosemicarbazone and a terpyridine, and the cationic species are isolated as perchlorate salts. All these six complexes are paramagnetic (μeff = 2.63-2.92 B.M.) and in dimethylsulfoxide solution they show intense absorptions in the visible and ultraviolet region, origin of which has been probed through DFT calculations. Cyclic voltammetry on the complexes shows one irreversible oxidation of coordinated thiosemicarbazone on the positive side of SCE, and one irreversible reduction of the coordinated polypyridine ligand on the negative side. These nickel complexes are found to be efficient catalysts for Suzuki cross-coupling reactions.  相似文献

Three new iridium (III) complexes with two cyclometalated CN ligands (imidazole, oxazole and thiazole-based, respectively) and one acetylacetone (acac) ancillary ligand have been synthesized and fully characterized. The structure of the thiazole-based complex has been determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. The Ir center was located in a distorted octahedral environment by three chelating ligands with the N-N in the trans and C-C in the cis configuration. By changing the hetero-atom of CN ligands the order S, O and N, a marked and systematic hypsochromic shift of the maximum emission peak of the complexes was realized. The imidazole-based complex emits at a wavelength of 500 nm, which is in the blue to green region. The tuning of emission wavelengths is consistent with the variation of the energy gap estimated from electrochemistry results. An electroluminescent device using the thiazole-based complex as a dopant in the emitting layer has been fabricated. A highly efficient yellow emission with a maximum luminous efficiency of 9.8 cd/A at a current density of 24.2 mA/cm2 and a maximum brightness of 7985 cd/m2 at 19.6 V has been achieved.  相似文献

The chelating ligand tris-[2-(3-aryl-imidazol-2-ylidene)ethyl]amine (TIMENR, R = aryl = 2,6-xylyl (xyl), mesityl (mes)) has provided access to reactive transition metal complexes. Here, two new tripodal N-heterocyclic carbene ligands of the TIMENR system (R = aryl = tolyl (tol), 3,5-xylyl (3,5xyl)), featuring sterically less demanding aryl substituents were synthesized. With these ligands, Fe(II) precursor complexes could be obtained, namely [(TIMENtol)Fe](BF4)2 (3) and [(TIMEN3,5xyl)Fe(CH3CN)](PF6)2 (7), which showed unexpected reactivity upon reduction. Treatment of the compounds with sodium amalgam yield the tris- and bis-metallated products, [(TIMENtol∗∗∗)Fe] (4) and [(TIMEN3,5xyl∗∗)Fe] (8), respectively. While the Fe(III) complex 4 is relatively inert towards oxygen, the Fe(II) complex 8 is prone to oxidation. This oxidation of 8 can readily be observed in chlorinated solvents, producing the Fe(III) complex [(TIMEN3,5xyl∗∗)Fe](PF6) (9). All new ligand imidazolium precursors and metal complexes were characterized by single crystal X-ray structure determination.  相似文献

We report the synthesis, characterisation, and photophysical and electrochemical properties of a series of luminescent cyclometallated iridium(III) bipyridine-aldehyde complexes [Ir(N-C)2(bpy-CHO)](PF6) (HN-C=2-phenylpyridine, Hppy (1); 2-(4-methylphenyl)pyridine, Hmppy (2); 1-phenylpyrazole, Hppz (3); 3-methyl-1-phenylpyrazole, Hmppz (4); 7,8-benzoquinoline, Hbzq (5); 2-phenylquinoline, Hpq (6); bpy-CHO=4-formyl-4-methyl-2,2-bipyridine). The X-ray crystal structures of complexes 1 and 4 have been determined. On the basis of the photophysical data, the emission of these complexes is assigned to an excited state of predominantly triplet metal-to-ligand charge-transfer (3MLCT) (dπ(Ir) → (bpy-CHO)) character. For complex 6, the excited state is also mixed with substantial (3IL) () (pq) character. The protein bovine serum albumin has been labelled with these complexes to produce luminescent bioconjugates. The photophysical properties of the luminescent conjugates have also been investigated.  相似文献

Treatment of 7,8-benzo[h]quinoline (bhq-H, 1) and 10-methyl benzo[h]quinoline (bhq-Me, 3) with [Rh(C2H4)2(THF)2][BF4] resulted in double C-H activation of aliphatic and aromatic C-H bonds, yielding the Rh(III) complexes 4 and 5, respectively. The structures of 4 and 5 were revealed by X-ray diffraction. The reaction of 1 with two other slightly different rhodium precursors, [Rh(olefin)n(THF)2][BF4] (COE (n = 2), COD (n = 1)), led to completely different products, a dinuclear complex 7 and a trinuclear complex 6, respectively, which were characterized by X-ray diffraction. Complex 6 exhibits a rare linear Rh-Rh-Rh structure. Utilizing excess of 1 with [Rh(COD)(THF)2][BF4] led to the formation of a new product 8 with no C-H bond activation taking place. Additional C-H activation products of 1, cationic and neutral, in the presence of PiPr3 (9a, 9b and 10) are also presented.  相似文献

A series of mononuclear Ru(II) complexes of the type [Ru(S)2(K)]2+, where S = 1,10-phenanthroline/2,2′-bipyridine and K = 4-OH-btsz, 4-CH3-btsz, 3,4-di-OCH3-btsz, 4-OH-binh, 4-CH3-binh, 3,4-di-OCH3-binh, were prepared and characterized by elemental analysis, FTIR, 1H-NMR, and mass spectroscopy. The complexes displayed metal–ligand charge transfer (MLCT) transitions in the visible region. These ligands formed bidentate octahedral ruthenium complexes. The title complexes were evaluated for their in vivo anticancer activity against a transplantable murine tumor cell line, Ehrlisch’s ascites carcinoma (EAC), and in vitro cytotoxic activity against human cancer cell lines Molt 4/C8 and CEM and murine tumor cell line L1210. The ruthenium complexes showed promising biological activity especially in decreasing tumor volume and viable ascites cell counts. Treatment with these complexes prolonged the life span of mice bearing EAC tumors by 10–52%. In vitro evaluation of these ruthenium complexes revealed cytotoxic activity from 0.21 to 24 μM against Molt 4/C8, 0.16 to 19 μM aginst CEM, and 0.75 to 32 μM against L1210.  相似文献

Reactions of 2-(3,5-dimethylpyrazol-1-ylmethyl)pyridine (L1), 2-(3,5-diphenylpyrazol-1-ylmethyl)pyridine (L2), 2-(3,5-di-tert-butylpyrazol-1-ylmethyl)pyridine (L3) and 2-(3-p-tolylpyrazol-1-ylmethyl)pyridine (L4) with K2[PtCl4] in a mixture of ethanol and water formed the dichloro platinum complexes [PtCl2(L1)] (1), [PtCl2(L2)] (2), [PtCl2(L3)] (3) and [PtCl2(L4)] (4). Complex 1, [PtCl2(L1)], could also be prepared in a mixture of acetone and water. Performing the reactions of L2 and L3 in a mixture of acetone and water, however, led to C-H activation of acetone under mild conditions to form the neutral acetonyl complexes [Pt(CH2COCH3)Cl(L2)] (2a) and [Pt(CH2COCH3)Cl(L3)] (3a). The same ligands reacted with HAuCl4 · 4H2O in a mixture of ethanol and water to form the gold salts [AuCl2(L1)][AuCl4] (5) [AuCl2(L2)][Cl] (6) [AuCl2(L3)][Cl] (7) and [AuCl2(L4)][AuCl4] (8); however, with the pyrazolyl unit in the para position of the pyridinyl ring in 4-(3,5-dimethylpyrazol-1-ylmethyl)pyridine (L5), 4-(3,5-diphenylpyrazol-1-ylmethyl)pyridine (L6) neutral gold complexes [AuCl3(L5)] (9) and [AuCl2(L6)] (10) were formed; signifying the role the position of the pyrazolyl group plays in product formation in the gold reactions. X-ray crystallographic structural determination of L6, 2, 33a, 8 and 10 were very important in confirming the structures of these compounds; particularly for 3a and 8 where the presence of the acetonyl group confirmed C-H activation and for 8 where the counter ion is . Cytotoxicity studies of L2, L4 and complexes 1-10 against HeLa cells showed the Au complexes were much less active than the Pt complexes.  相似文献

Two new magnetic copper compounds were obtained using the 4,4,4-trifluoro-1-furoylbutane-1,3-dione (Ftfac) ligand and two nitroxide radicals: 3-pyridyl-4,4,5,5-tetramethylimidazoline-1-oxyl-3-oxide (NITmPy) and 4-hydroxy-2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidinyl-N-oxy (Tempol). The complexes with formula [Cu(Ftfac)2(NITmPy)2] (1) and [Cu(Ftfac)2(Tempol)] (2) were structurally characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. In compound 1, the copper ion has a distorted octahedral environment, bound to two NITmpPy ligands through the nitrogen atom of the pyridine ring. In compound 2, the copper ion has a distorted pyramidal environment in which the apical position is occupied by the oxygen atom of the Tempol hydroxyl group. The temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibility of the two compounds was investigated. It was found that compound 1 presents ferromagnetic interaction (J = 9.1 cm−1) among copper(II) ions and NITmPy radicals. As a result of the interconnection between molecular moieties through H-bonds, compound 2 presents an unusual magnetic behavior with alternating ferro- and antiferromagnetic interactions.  相似文献

Ni(II), Co(II) and Co(III) complexes of imidazole- and pyrrole-2-carbaldehyde thiosemicarbazone ligands (H2L1 and H2L2, respectively) have been prepared. The X-ray crystal structures of [Co(L1)(HL1)], [Ni(H2L1)2]Cl2 · 3.5H2O and [Ni(HL2)2] have been solved. The Co(III) ion assumes a slightly distorted octahedral coordination geometry, involving both N2S binding domain of di- and monoanionic ligand molecules. Whereas in [Ni(HL2)2] the metal ion is tetracoordinated in a square planar geometry by two pyrrole-2-carbaldehyde thiosemicarbazone molecules acting as NS-donor, the spatial array of non deprotonated H2L1 ligand molecules in [Ni(H2L1)2]Cl2 · 3.5H2O is equivalent to that found for [Co(L1)(HL1)]. The in vitro antimicrobial properties of the ligands and their complexes were tested against representative bacterial and fungal strains in broth culture. The compounds H2L2 and [Co(L2)(HL2)(H2L2)] · 1.5H2O exhibit a moderate inhibitory effect on the microbial proliferation and only against some Gram positive bacteria.  相似文献

A series blue phosphorescent emitting materials based on 2-(fluoro substituted phenyl)-4-methylpyridine as the cyclometalated ligands have been synthesized and characterized. The complexes have the general structure (C^N)2Ir(pic), where C^N is a monoanionic cyclometalating ligand (e.g., 2-(2,4-difluorophenyl)-4-methylpyridine (24f2pmpyH), 2-(3,4-difluorophenyl)-4-methylpyridine (34f2pmpyH), 2-(3,5-difluorophenyl)-4-methylpyridine (35f2pmpyH), and 2-(3,4,5-trifluorophenyl)-4-methyl-pyridine (345f3pmpyH)), pic is 2-picolinic acid. The absorption, emission, cyclic voltammetry and thermostability of the complexes were systematically investigated. The (46f2pmpy)2Ir(pic) has been characterized using X-ray crystallography and the electronic ground state calculated using B3LYP density functional theory. HOMO levels are a mixture of Ir and 2-(fluoro phenyl)-4-methylpyridine ligand orbitals, while the LUMO is predominantly pic ligand based. Introduction of fluorine atoms and methyl group into ppy ligand and changing in position of F substituents in phenyl ring can finely tune emission of the complexes, showing bright blue-to-green luminescence at a wavelength of 463-501 nm at room temperature in CH2Cl2.  相似文献

The heterotrimetallic complex, [{LCuMn(H2O)}{Cr(phen)(C2O4)2}](ClO4) · H2O (1), has been obtained by assembling heterobinuclear cations, [LCuMn]2+, with [Cr(phen)(C2O4)2] ions (H2L is the compartmental Schiff-base resulting from the stepwise condensation of 2,6-diformyl-p-cresol with ethylenediamine and diethylenetriamine). The copper(II) and manganese(II) ions are hosted into the compartments of the macrocyclic ligand. [Cr(phen)(C2O4)2] acts as a ligand, being coordinated through one oxalato oxygen atom to the apical position of the square pyramidal copper(II) ion. The cryomagnetic investigation of 1 reveals an antiferromagnetic interaction between CuII and MnII within the compartmental ligand (J = −39 cm−1). The interaction between CuII and CrIII across the oxalato bridge is negligible. The crystal structure of [LCuPb](ClO4)2 · H2O, a useful precursor in obtaining 3d-3d′ complexes, is also reported.  相似文献

Compound [{Fe(oda)(H2O)2} · H2O]n (1) [oda=O(CH2COO)2 2−] has been obtained by reaction of FeCl2 · 4H2O with a 1:1 mixture of O(CH2COOH)2 and Na2CO3 in water. The structure is polymeric with concatenated {Fe(oda)(H2O)2} units extended in one direction. Each iron centre is six-coordinated by the tridentate planar oda ligand, two mutually trans water molecules and one oda oxygen atom from an adjacent {Fe(oda)(H2O)2} unit. Complex 1 is isomorphous with cobalt and zinc analogues. Magnetic susceptibility measurements down to 2 K showed high-spin non-correlated Fe(II) ions with a typical Curie-Weiss behaviour. Differential-pulse voltammetry establishes a value of 0.488 V versus NHE for the Fe(III)/Fe(II) redox potential of this iron complex in 0.25 mol dm−3 NaNO3.  相似文献

A series of carbazole-functionalized carboxylate ligands (N-carbazolylacetic acid (L1), 4-carbazol-9-yl-benzoic acid (L2), and 3-(4-carbazol-9-yl-phenyl)-acrylic acid (L3)) and their corresponding silver complexes were designed and synthesized and the structures were determined by single crystal X-ray diffractions. The silver atoms in the complexes are in tetrahedral geometry coordinated with two oxygen from carboxylic and two phosphorous atoms from triphenylphosphine. The complexes exhibit excellent electrochemical characters in solution and strong photoluminescence in the solid state. The emission wavelengths of the compounds can be tuned (from ultraviolet to visible region) by introducing of the second coordinating ligand triphenylphosphine and by elongation of the conjugation moieties.  相似文献

Reaction of the Schiff base ligands 2-Br-4,5-(OCH2O)C6H2C(H)NCH2CH2NMe2 (a) and 4,5-(OCH2CH2)C6H3C(H)NCH2CH2NMe2 (b) with Pd(OAc)2 or K2[PdCl4] leads to the mononuclear cyclometallated compounds [Pd{2-Br-4,5-(OCH2O)C6HC(H)NCH2CH2NMe2-C6,N,N}(OCOMe)] (1a) and [Pd{4,5-(OCH2CH2)C6H2C(H)NCH2CH2NMe2-C6,N,N}(Cl)] (1b), derived from C-H activation at the C6 carbon. Treatment of a with Pd2(dba)3 gave [Pd{4-5-(OCH2O)C6H2C(H)NCH2CH2NMe2-C2,N,N}(Br)] (2a), via C-Br activation. The metathesis reaction of 1a with aqueous sodium chloride gave [Pd{2-Br-4,5-(OCH2O)C6HC(H)NCH2CH2NMe2-C6,N,N}(Cl)] (3a), with exchange of the acetate group by a chloride ligand. Treatment of the cyclometallated monomers 1a-3a with PPh3 in a 1:1 molar ratio yielded the mononuclear complexes [Pd{2-Br-4,5-(OCH2O)C6HC(H)NCH2CH2NMe2-C6,N}(L)(PPh3)] (L: OAc, 4a; Cl, 5a) and [Pd{4-5-(OCH2O)C6H2C(H)NCH2CH2NMe2-C2,N}(Br)(PPh3)] (6a), with Pd-NMe2 bond cleavage. However, treatment of a solution of 3a or 2a with silver trifluoromethanesulfonate, followed by reaction with PPh3 in acetone yielded the cyclometallated complexes [Pd{2-Br-4,5-(OCH2O)C6HC(H)NCH2CH2NMe2-C6,N,N}(PPh3)][CF3SO3] (7a) and [Pd{4-5-(OCH2O)C6H2C(H)NCH2CH2NMe2-C2,N,N}(PPh3)][CF3SO3] (8a), respectively, where the Pd-NMe2 bond was retained. The reaction of the ligands 2-Br-4,5-(OCH2O)C6H2C(H)N(2′-OH-5′-tBuC6H3) (c) and 4,5-(OCH2CH2)C6H3C(H)N(2′-OH-5′-tBuC6H3) (d) with Pd(OAc)2 gave the tetranuclear complexes [Pd{2-Br-4,5-(OCH2O)C6HC(H)N(2′-O-5′-tBuC6H3)-C6,N,O}]4 (1c) and [Pd{4,5-(OCH2CH2)C6H2C(H)N(2′-O-5′-tBuC6H3)-C6,N,O}]4 (1d), respectively. Treatment of 1c with PPh3 in 1:4 molar ratio, gave the mononuclear species [Pd{2-Br-4,5-(OCH2O)C6HC(H)N(2′-(O)-5′-tBuC6H3)-C6,N,O}(PPh3)] (2c) with opening of the polynuclear structure after P-Obridging bond cleavage. The structure of compounds 2a, 1c and 1d has been determined by X-ray diffraction analysis.  相似文献

1-Benzothiazol-2-yl-3,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazole (1a) and 1-benzothiazol-2-yl-5-(2-hydroxyphenyl)-3-methyl-1H-pyrazole-4-carboxylic acid methyl ester (1b) were reacted with the hexahydrates of cobalt(II) chloride, cobalt(II) nitrate and cobalt(II) perchlorate to give the corresponding complexes 2a-4a and 2b-5b, respectively. Obtained compounds differ in coordination spheres of central atoms. The complex 2a includes a fivefold coordinated cobalt(II) ion, whereas 3a shows a distorted octahedral configuration around the cobalt(II) ion. All complexes were characterised by FTIR spectroscopy, MS and elemental analysis. The X-ray structures of 2a, 3a and 5b complexes were also solved. The cytotoxic properties of the ligand 1a and both series of Co(II) complexes were examined on human leukemia NALM-6 and HL-60 cells and melanoma WM-115 cells. The ligands, were found to have very low cytotoxicity. Complex 3b exhibited the highest cytotoxic activity with IC50 values in the range of 6.9-17.1 μM for three examined cell lines.  相似文献

Three N2O2 tetradentate Schiff base ligands (H2L1-3) were prepared by reaction of 1,2-propylenediamine and appropriate aldehyde and ketone and characterized by FT-IR, 1H and 13C NMR. The vanadyl complexes were synthesized by treating an ethanolic solution of the appropriate ligand and one equivalent of VO(acac)2 to yield VOL1-3. These oxovanadium (IV) complexes were characterized on the basis of their FT-IR, UV-Vis spectroscopy and elemental analysis. The crystal structure of VOL3 has been determined. The metal center in VOL3 is a deformed tetragonal pyramidal N2O3 coordination sphere. These complexes are used as catalyst for the selective epoxidation of olefins. High selectivity of epoxidation for cyclooctene observed from oxidation data. The catalytic activity increases as the number of electron-donor groups increases, and the catalytic selectivity is varied by changing the substituents on the ligands. The catalytic system described here is an efficient and inexpensive method for the oxidation of olefins, with the advantages of high activity, selectivity, re-usability and short reaction time.  相似文献

Reaction of [Cu2L](ClO4)4 with CH3CN in acetonitrile, and Him in DMF gave cyanide and imidazolate bridged macrocyclic dinuclear copper (II) complexes with the formula [Cu2L(CN)](ClO4)3 (1) and [Cu2L(im)](ClO4)2 · 0.7Br · 0.3Cl, (2), respectively (L = N[(CH2)2NHCH2(C6H4-p)CH2NH(CH2)2]3N). In 2, each Cu(II) atom is coordinated with four macrocyclic nitrogen atoms and one imidazolate N atom, forming a slightly distorted square pyramidal geometry. Magnetic susceptibility measurements of 1 and 2 show that the two Cu(II) atoms of the binuclear unit are antiferromagnetically coupled with g = 2.148, J = −86.09 cm−1 for 1, and g = 2.047, J = −38.20 cm−1 for 2. The correlation between the structures and the J values is discussed.  相似文献
