We have prepared and structurally characterized six-coordinate Fe(II), Co(II), and Ni(II) complexes of types [MII(HL1)2(H2O)2][ClO4]2 (M = Fe, 1; Co, 3; and Ni, 5) and [MII(HL2)3][ClO4]2 · MeCN (M = Fe, 2 and Co, 4) of bidentate pyridine amide ligands, N-(phenyl)-2-pyridinecarboxamide (HL1) and N-(4-methylphenyl)-2-pyridinecarboxamide (HL2). The metal centers in bis(ligand)-diaqua complexes 1, 3 and 5 are coordinated by two pyridyl N and two amide O atoms from two HL1 ligands and six-coordination is completed by coordination of two water molecules. The complexes are isomorphous and possess trans-octahedral geometry. The metal centers in isomorphous tris(ligand) complexes 2 and 4 are coordinated by three pyridyl N and three amide O atoms from three HL2 ligands. The relative dispositions of the pyridine N and amide O atoms reveal that the pseudo-octahedral geometry have the meridional stereochemistry. To the best of our knowledge, this work provides the first examples of structurally characterized six-coordinate iron(II) complexes in which the coordination is solely by neutral pyridine amide ligands providing pyridine N and amide O donor atoms, with or without water coordination. Careful analyses of structural parameters of 1-5 along with that reported in the literature [MII(HL1)2(H2O)2][ClO4]2 (M = Cu and Zn) and [CoIII(L2)3] have allowed us to arrive at a number of structural correlations/generalizations. The complexes are uniformly high-spin. Spectroscopic (IR and UV/Vis) and redox properties of the complexes have also been investigated.  相似文献

Complexes of the type [M(pabh)(H2O)Cl], [M(pcbh)(H2O)Cl] and [M(Hpabh)(H2O)2 (SO4)] where, M = Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II); Hpabh = p-amino acetophenone benzoyl hydrazone and Hpcbh = p-chloro acetophenone benzoyl hydrazone have been synthesized and characterized with the help of elemental analyses, electrical conductance, magnetic susceptibility measurements, electronic, ESR and IR spectra, thermal (TGA & DTA) and X-ray diffraction studies. Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) chloride complexes are square planar, whereas their sulfate complexes have spin-free octahedral geometry. ESR spectra of Cu(II) complexes with Hpabh are axial and suggest as the ground state. The ligand is bidentate bonding through >C = N ? and deprotonated enolate group in all the chloro complexes, whereas, >C = N and >C = O groups in all the sulfato complexes. Thermal studies (TGA & DTA) on [Cu(Hpabh)(H2O)2(SO4)] indicate a multistep decomposition pattern, which are both exothermic and endothermic in nature. X-ray powder diffraction parameters for [Co(pabh)(H2O)Cl] and [Ni(Hpabh)(H2O)2(SO4)] correspond to tetragonal and orthorhombic crystal lattices, respectively. The ligands as well as their complexes show a significant antifungal and antibacterial activity. The metal complexes are more active than the ligand.  相似文献

Bidentate ligands 2,2′-biquinoline (biq) and 6,6′-dimethyl-2,2′-bipyridine (dmbpy) with steric hindrance substituents cis to the nitrogen atoms have been used in the synthesis of transition metal complexes. Six new doubly end-on azido-bridged binuclear complexes [M2(biq)21,1-N3)2(N3)2] (M = Ni (1), M = Co (2)), [M2(biq)21,1-N3)2Cl2] (M = Ni (3), M = Co (4)), [M2(dmbpy)21,1-N3)2(N3)2] (M = Ni (5), M = Co (6)) and one end-to-end thiocyanato-bridged polymeric [Ni(dmbpy)(μ1,3-SCN)(NCS)]n (7) have been synthesized and characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis and magnetic studies. Complexes 1-6 comprise five-coordinate M(II) ions bridged by two end-on azide ligands. The bridging M-N-M bond angles are in the small range 104.1-105.2°. Complex 7 consists of a singly thiocyanate-bridged Ni(II) chain in which Ni(II) ions are five-coordinate. This research suggests that the bulky ligands play a key role in the formation of five-coordinate coordination structure. All complexes display intramolecular intermetallic ferromagnetic coupling with JNiNi and JCoCo of ca. 23 or 13 cm−1 based on the Hamiltonian (S1 = S2 = 1 for Ni2, or 3/2 for Co2). The singly SCN-bridged chainlike complex 7 shows intrachain ferromagnetic interaction with J = 3.96(2) cm−1 and D = −4.55(8) cm−1 (. Magneto-structural correlationship has been investigated.  相似文献

The reactions of six diimine ligands with Cu(II) and Ni(II) halide salts have been investigated. The diimine ligands were Ph2CN(CH2)nNCPh2 (n = 2 (Bz2en, 1a), 3 (Bz2pn, 1b), 4 (Bz2bn, 1c)), N,N′-bis-(2-tert-butylthio-1-ylmethylenebenzene)-2,2′diamino-biphenyl (2), N,N′-bis-(2-chloro-1-ylmethylenebenzene)-1,3-diaminobenzene (3) and N,N′-bis-(2-chloro-1-ylmethylenebenzene)-1,2-ethanediamine (4). Reactions of 1a-c, 2-4 with CuCl2·2H2O in dry ethanol at ambient temperature led to complete or partial hydrolysis of the diimine ligands to ultimately form copper diamine complexes. The non-hydrolyzed complexes of 1b and 1c, [Cu(L)Cl2] (L = 1b, 1c), could be isolated when the reactions were carried out at low temperatures, and the half-hydrolyzed complex [Cu(Bzpn)Cl2] could also be identified via X-ray crystallography. Similarly, reactions of 1a or 1b with NiCl2·6H2O or [NiBr2(dme)] led to rapid hydrolysis of the imines and Ni complexes containing half-hydrolyzed 1a (Bzen; [trans-[Ni(Bzen)2Br2]) and 1b (Bzpn; [Ni(Bzpn)Br2] could be isolated and identified via single crystal X-ray analysis. Kinetic studies were made of the hydrolyses of 1a, 1b in THF and 2 in acetone, in the presence of Cu(II), and of 1a in acetonitrile, in the presence of Ni(II). Activation parameters were determined for the latter reaction and for the copper-catalyzed hydrolysis of 2; the relatively large negative activation entropies clearly indicate rate-determining steps of an associative nature.  相似文献

The acid-base and coordination properties towards Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II) and Pb(II) of four polyamino-phenol macrocycles 15-hydroxy-3,6,9-triazabicyclo[9.3.1]pentadeca-11,13,115-triene L1, 18-hydroxy-3,6,9,12-tetraazabicyclo[12.3.1]octadeca-14,16,118-triene L2, 21-hydroxy-3,6,9,12,15-pentaazabicyclo[15.3.1]enaicosa-17,19,121-triene L3 and 24-hydroxy-3,6,9,12,15,18-hexaazabicyclo[18.3.1]tetraicosa-20,22,124-triene L4 are reported. The protonation and stability constants were determined by means of potentiometric measurements in 0.15 mol dm−3 NMe4Cl aqueous solution at 298.1 K. L1 forms highly unsaturated Co(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II) mononuclear complexes that are prone to give dimeric dinuclear species with [(MH−1L1)2]2+ stoichiometry, in solution. L2 forms stable Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II) and Pb(II) mononuclear complexes that can coordinate external species as OH anion, giving hydroxylated complexes at alkaline pH. L3 forms stable Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II) and Pb(II) mononuclear complexes and Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) dinuclear [M2H−1L3]3+ species. L4 forms stable mono- and dinuclear Co(II), Cu(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II) complexes, but only mononuclear species with Pb(II). The effect of macrocyclic size is considered in the discussion of results.  相似文献

New types of λ6-sulfanenitrile-transition metal complexes, [MCl2(ndsdsd)] (1) and [M(ndsdsd)2]Cl2 (2) (M = Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II)), were obtained by reacting MCl2 with bis[(nitrilo(diphenyl)-λ6-sulfanyl)](diphenyl)-λ6-sulfanediimide Ph2S(N-(Ph2)SN)2 (ndsdsd). The crystal structures of these complexes have been elucidated by X-ray crystallographic analysis. The results revealed that, in complexes 1 and 2, the two terminal nitrogen atoms chelate to the metal center to form an eight-membered sulfur-nitrogen ring.  相似文献

The metal ion coordinating properties of the ligands N,N-bis(2-methylquinoline)-2-(2-aminoethyl)pyridine (DQPEA) and N,N-bis(2-methylquinoline)-2-(2-aminomethyl)pyridine (DQPMA) are presented. DQPEA and DQPMA differ only in that DQPEA forms six-membered chelate rings that involve the pyridyl group, whereas DQPMA forms analogous five-membered chelate rings. These two ligands illustrate the application of a ligand design principle, which states that increase of chelate ring size in a ligand will result in increase in selectivity for smaller relative to larger metal ions. The formation constants (log K1) of DQPEA and DQPMA with Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), Cd(II) and Pb(II) are reported. As expected from the applied ligand design principle, small metal ions such as Ni(II) and Zn(II) show increases in log K1 with DQPEA (six-membered chelate ring) relative to DQPMA (five-membered chelate ring), while large metal ions such as Cd(II) and Pb(II) show decreases in log K1 when the chelate ring increases in size. In order to further understand the steric origin of the destabilization of complexes of metal ions of differing sizes by the six-membered chelate ring of DQPEA, the structures of [Zn(DQPEA)H2O](ClO4)2 (1) [triclinic, , a = 9.2906(10), b = 10.3943(10), c = 17.3880(18) Å, α = 82.748(7)°, β = 88.519(7)°, γ = 66.957(6)°, Z = 4, R = 0.073] and [Cd(DQPEA)(NO3)2] (2) [monoclinic, C2/c, a = 22.160(3), b = 15.9444(18), c = 16.6962(18) Å, β = 119.780(3)°, Z = 8, R = 0.0425] are reported. The Zn in (1) is five-coordinate, with a water molecule completing the coordination sphere. The Cd(II) in (2) is six-coordinate, with two unidentate nitrates coordinated to the Cd. It is found that the bonds to the quinaldine nitrogens in the DQPEA complexes are considerably stretched as compared to those of analogous TPyA (tri(pyridylmethyl)amine) complexes, which effect is attributed to the greater steric crowding in the DQPEA complexes. The structures are analyzed for indications of the origins of the destabilization of the complex of the large Cd(II) ion relative to the smaller Zn(II) ion. A possible cause is the greater distortion of the six-membered chelate ring in (2) than in (1), as evidenced by torsion angles that are further away from the ideal values in (2) than in (1). Fluorescence properties of the DQPMA and DQPEA complexes of Zn(II) and Cd(II) are reported. It is found that the DQPEA complex of Zn(II) has increased fluorescence intensity compared to the DQPMA complex, while for the Cd(II) complex the opposite is found. This is related to the greater strain in the six-membered chelate ring of the Cd(II) DQPEA complex as compared to the Zn(II) complex, with resulting poorer overlap in the Cd-N bond, and hence greater ability to quench the fluorescence in the Cd(II) complex.  相似文献

The complexes of Cu(I), Cu(II), Ni(II), Zn(II) and Co(II) with a new polypyridyl ligand, 2,3-bis(2-pyridyl)-5,8-dimethoxyquinoxaline (L), have been synthesized and characterized. The crystal structures of these complexes have been elucidated by X-ray diffraction analyses and three types of coordination modes for L were found to exist in them. In the dinuclear complex [Cu(I)L(CH3CN)]2·(ClO4)2 (1), L acts as a tridentate ligand with two Cu(I) centers bridged by two L ligands to form a box-like dimeric structure, in which each Cu(I) ion is penta-coordinated with three nitrogen atoms and a methoxyl oxygen atom of two L ligands, and an acetonitrile. In [Cu(II)L(NO3)2]·CH3CN 2, the Cu(II) center is coordinated to the two nitrogen atoms of the two pyridine rings of L which acts as a bidentate ligand. The structures of [Ni(II)L(NO3)(H2O)2]·2CH3CN·NO3 (3), [Zn(II)L(NO3)2 (H2O)]·2CH3CN (4) and [Co(II)LCl2(H2O)] (5) are similar to each other in which L acts as a tridentate ligand by using its half side, and the metal centers are coordinated to a methoxyl oxygen atom and two bipyridine nitrogen atoms of L in the same side. The formation of infinite quasi-one-dimensional chains (1, 4 and 5) or a quasi-two-dimensional sheet (2) assisted by the intra- or intermolecular face-to-face aryl stacking interactions and hydrogen bonds may have stabilized the crystals of these complexes. Luminescence studies showed that 1 exhibits broad, structureless emissions at 420 nm in the solid state and at 450 nm in frozen alcohol frozen glasses at 77 K. Cyclic voltammetric studies of 1 show the presence of an irreversible metal-centered reduction wave at approximately −0.973 V versus Fc+/0 and a quasi-reversible ligand-centered reduction couple at approximately −1.996 V versus Fc+/0. The solution behaviors of these complexes have been further studied by UV-Vis and ESR techniques.  相似文献

Reaction of O,O′-diisopropylphosphoric acid isothiocyanate (iPrO)2P(O)NCS with 2- or 3-aminopyridine leads to the new N-phosphorylated thioureas RNHC(S)NHP(O)(OiPr)2 (R = 2-Py, HLI; 3-Py, HLII). Reaction of the potassium salt KLI with Ni(II) in aqueous EtOH leads to the new complex Ni[2-PyNHC(S)NP(O)(OiPr)2-N(Py),N(P),O]2, where the metal cation is coordinated by two deprotonated ligands LI through the pyridine and phosphorylamide nitrogen atoms, and the PO oxygen atoms. Using KLII leads to an oligomeric (or polymeric) structure, where the Ni(II) cation is coordinated by two anionic ligands LII through the CS sulfur atoms and the P-N nitrogen atoms, and the pyridine nitrogen atoms of neighboring molecules. The new compounds were investigated by 1H and 31P{1H} NMR spectroscopy, and microanalysis. Single crystal X-ray diffraction studies showed HLI forms both intra- and intermolecular hydrogen bonds, which in turn lead to the formation of a polymeric chain. Moreover, π?π stacking interactions were observed between molecules of two neighboring chains.  相似文献

The Schiff base ligand, 4-isopropylbenzaldehyde[N-(3-oxo-3,4-dihydro-2-quinoxalinyl)hydrazone] (Ipbh), the 1:1 condensation product of 4-isopropylbenzaldehyde and 2-hydroxy-3-hydrazinoquinoxiline, has been synthesized and characterized by X-ray crystallography. A series of complexes of Ipbh with Nickel(II), viz., [Ni(Ipbh)2]Cl2 (1), [Ni(Ipbh)2]Br2 (2), [Ni(Ipbh)2]I2 (3), [Ni(Ipbh)2·(CH3OH)2](NO3)2·(CH3OH)2 (4) and [Ni(Ipbh)2ClO4]ClO4 (5) have been synthesized. All the complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductivity, CHN analysis, spectroscopic studies, magnetic susceptibility measurements and TG/DTA methods. The solid-state structure of the complex 4 was established by single crystal X-ray crystallography. In all the complexes, Ipbh acts as a bidentate NO chelating agent, coordinated to the metal ion through the imine nitrogen and quinoxaline oxygen. In complex 4, Nickel(II) is in a distorted octahedral environment with an identical set of donor atoms, N2O4, coming from two imine nitrogen and two quinoxaline oxygen atoms of two Ipbh moieties as well as two oxygen atoms of the two methanol molecules. The crystal packing of Ipbh and the complex 4 exhibits 1D and 2D supramolecular networks, respectively through different intermolecular hydrogen-bonding interactions.  相似文献

Five new complexes of Pt(II), Pd(II), Co(III) and Ni(II) with 2-pyridine(quinoline)carboxaldehyde selenosemicarbazones were synthesized and characterized. Crystal structures of Pt(II) complex with the pyridine derivative and Co(III) complex with the quinoline derivative were determined. In all complexes the ligands were coordinated through N2Se donor atom set forming either square-planar (Pt, Pd) or octahedral (Co, Ni) geometry. All complexes showed biological activity.  相似文献

The attempted acetylation of anthranilic hydroxamic acid (2-aminobenzohydroxamic acid) as a possible dual inhibitor of the catalytic sites in prostaglandin-H-synthase (PGHS) gave the cyclic hydroxamic acid 3-hydroxy-2-methyl-3H-quinazolin-4-one (ChaH) which was characterised by spectroscopy and X-ray crystallography. The length of the hydroxamic acid C-N bond, 1.3998(17) Å, in ChaH is longer than normal (∼1.33 Å) indicative of reduced delocalisation of the nitrogen lone pair of electrons into the hydroxamic acid π system. This is confirmed by the appearance of the ν(CO) band at a considerably higher wavenumber in the IR spectrum than normal. The complexes Fe(Cha)2(Cl)(H2O)·7/2H2O, Co(Cha)2(EtOH)2, Ni(Cha)2(EtOH)2, Cu(Cha)(H2O)(Cl) and Zn(Cha)2(H2O), have been synthesised and their structures determined by X-ray crystallography. The X-ray data confirmed coordination by Cha- through the carbonyl and deprotonated hydroxamate oxygen in all cases. The M-O (hydroxamate) bonds are shorter than the M-O (carbonyl) bonds by between 0.0930 Å for the Co(II) complex and 0.0448 Å for the Ni(II) complex. The geometries of all complexes conform to the coordination requirements of the particular metal ion involved. Speciation studies for ChaH and its complexes with Ni(II) and Zn(II) were carried out using pH-metric methods. The results show that ChaH is much more acidic than related acyclic hydroxamic acids and that its metal complexes are correspondingly less stable.  相似文献

Two complexes of the formula [MH3L](ClO4)2 [M = Cu(II) (1), Ni(II) (2)] have been prepared by the reaction of M(ClO4)2 · 6H2O with the ligand (H3L) formed by the Schiff base condensation of tris(2-aminoethyl)amine (tren) with three molar equivalents of 4-methyl-5-imidazolecarboxaldehyde and structurally and magnetically characterized. The structures of 1 and 2 are isomorphous with each other and with the iron(II) complex of H3L which has been reported previously. The ligand, while potentially heptadentate, forms six coordinate complexes with both metal centers forming three M-Nimine and three M-Nimidazole bonds. The tren central N atom is at a nonbonded distance from M of 3.261 Å for 1 and 3.329 Å for 2. The neutral complex CuHL 3 was prepared by reaction of H3L with Cu(OCH3)2 and the ionic complex Na[NiL] 4 was prepared by deprotonation of 2 with aqueous sodium hydroxide. Magnetic measurements of 1-3 are consistent with the spin-only values expected for S = 1/2 (d9, Cu(II)) and S = 1 (d8, Ni (II)) systems.  相似文献

Cobalt(III) complexes of diacetyl monooxime benzoyl hydrazone (dmoBH2) and diacetyl monooxime isonicotinoyl hydrazone (dmoInH2) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses and spectroscopic methods. The X-ray crystal structures of the two hydrazone ligands, as well as that of the cobalt(III) complex [CoIII(dmoInH)2]Cl·2H2O, are also reported. It is found that in the cobalt(III) complexes the Co(III) ion is hexa-coordinated, the hydrazone ligands behaving as mono-anionic tridentate O,N,N donors. In the [CoIII(dmoInH)2]Cl·2H2O complex, the amide and the oxime hydrogens are deprotonated for both the ligands, while the isonicotine nitrogens are protonated. In the [CoIII(dmoBH)2]Cl complex, only the amide nitrogens are deprotonated. It is shown that the additional hydrogen bonding capability of the isonicotine nitrogen results in different conformation and supramolecular structure for dmoInH2, compared to dmoBH2, in the solid state. Comparing the structure of the [CoIII(dmoInH)2]Cl·2H2O with that of the Zn(II) complex of the same ligand, reported earlier, it is seen that the metal ion has a profound influence on the supramolecular structure, due to change in geometrical dispositions of the chelate rings.  相似文献

Mononuclear Zn(II) and Ni(II) complexes have been prepared from two new Schiff base ligands in which two alternative co-ordination sites (N2O2 or O2O2) occur. The first ligands is the Schiff base derived from 1,2-diaminobenzene and 2-hydroxy-3-carboxyl-1-napthaldehyde (bopaH4). The complexes of this ligand contain the metal ions in the N2O2 coordination site as a result of the steric requirements of the co-ordinated ligand. The second ligand series are derivatives of X-substituted 1,2-diaminobenzenes, 2-hydroxy-3-carboxy-1-naphthaldehyde and 2-hydroxy-5-methyl isophthaldehyde (X-bolaH3). In this case Ni(II) occupies the N2O2 site in its complexes with the X-bolaH3 ligands, whereas the Zn(II) complexes are co-ordinate through the O2O2 site since the steric restrictions are less severe.  相似文献

Reaction of the potassium salt of the N-thiophosphorylthiourea H2NC(S)NHP(S)(OiPr)2 (HL) with Co(II), Ni(II), Zn(II) and Cd(II) cations in aqueous EtOH leads to the chelate complexes [ML2] all showing a 1,5-S,S′-coordination formed by the CS and PS sulfur atoms of two deprotonated ligands L. The structures of the resulting compounds were studied by IR, UV-Vis, 1H, 31P{1H} NMR spectroscopy and microanalysis. The metal center is found in a tetrahedral environment in [CoL2], [ZnL2] and [CdL2]. According to NMR and UV-Vis spectroscopy the metal cation of [NiL2] exhibits square planar coordination geometry in CH2Cl2, CHCl3 and C6H6, while tetrahedral geometry is observed in acetone, DMSO and DMF. Regardless of the solvent used for the crystallization of [NiL2], the molecular structure in the solid is always square planar as was confirmed by XRD of single crystals and magnetic measurements of the polycrystalline material. The magnetic and photoluminescent properties of all complexes are also reported.  相似文献

New bis(pyrrolide-imine) copper(II) and Ni(II) complexes C1 and C2 [{ (C3H7)-NCH (C4H3N)}2Cu], [{(C3H7)-NCH-(C4H3N)}2Ni] as well as the bimetallic dendrimeric (pyrrolide-imine) copper(II) and nickel(II) complexes C3 and C4, [DAB-{(NCH-C4H3N)4}Cu2], [DAB-{(NCH-C4H3N)4}Ni2] (DAB = G1-polypropyleneimine dendrimer with a diaminobutane core) were prepared in good yields. The structure and composition of the complexes were confirmed by a combination of analytical techniques. These complexes were investigated as catalysts in the hydroxylation of phenol in aqueous media in the pH range of 2-6 for the mononuclear complexes, C1 and C2 while the bimetallic systems, C3 and C4 were studied over the pH range 2-8. H2O2 was used as the oxidant under an oxygen atmosphere. The copper systems generally showed higher activity as compared to their nickel analogues. Catechol was the predominant product followed by hydroquinone with small amounts of para-benzoquinone. The nickel complexes showed better selectivity for catechol. The pH of the reaction medium also plays a role in both activity and selectivity with pH 3 being optimal for activity and pH 6 for selectivity to catechol.  相似文献

A series of nickel(II) and cobalt(II) complexes, NiX2L (X = Cl, Br; 1-6) and CoCl2L (7-9), with 2,9-diaryl-1,10-phenanthroline ligands (L1-L3) have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, UV-Vis, IR spectroscopy, and X-ray crystal structural study (for 1, 4-7, 9). The solid-state structures of 1, 5-7 and 9 show four-coordinate, slightly flattened tetrahedral geometry at the Ni(II) or Co(II) center, while 4 is five-coordinated (square-pyramidal), containing a THF molecule as an auxiliary ligand. The title complexes (1-9) display good catalytic activities in ethylene oligomerization when activated with methylaluminoxane (MAO). While the Co(II) precatalysts produce primarily C4 isomers, the Ni(II) complexes give ethylene dimers and trimers at normal pressure. The activities and yields of linear α-olefins increase with increasing ethylene pressure for the Ni(II) complexes, leading to more high-molar-mass products (C8-C18). Complex 6 displays the best catalytic activity among the complexes studied (up to 1518 kg/mol[Ni] h at 10 atm).  相似文献

Nickel(II) complexes with the first-generation quinolone antibacterial agent flumequine in the presence or absence of nitrogen donor heterocyclic ligands (4-benzylpyridine, pyridine, 2,2′-bipyridine or 1,10-phenanthroline) have been structurally characterized by physicochemical and spectroscopic techniques. The experimental data suggest that flumequine acts as deprotonated bidentate ligand coordinated to Ni(II) through the carboxylato and ketone oxygen atoms. The crystal structures of bis(4-benzylpyridine)bis(flumequinato)nickel(II) 2, (2,2′-bipyridine)bis(flumequinato)nickel(II) 4 and (1,10-phenanthroline)bis(flumequinato)nickel(II) 5 have been determined by X-ray crystallography and are the first crystal structures of flumequinato complexes reported. UV study of the interaction of the complexes with calf-thymus DNA (CT DNA) has shown that the complexes bind to CT DNA and bis(aqua)bis(flumequinato)nickel(II) exhibits the highest binding constant to CT DNA. Competitive study with ethidium bromide (EB) has shown that the complexes can displace the DNA-bound EB indicating that they bind to DNA in strong competition with EB. The cyclic voltammograms of the complexes recorded in DMSO solution and in 1/2 DMSO/buffer (containing 150 mM NaCl and 15 mM trisodium citrate at pH 7.0) solution have shown that in the presence of CT DNA they bind to CT DNA by the intercalative binding mode. The complexes exhibit good binding propensity to human or bovine serum albumin protein having relatively high binding constant values.  相似文献

A new potentially tetradentate (N4) Schiff base ligand (L), 1,9,12,20-tetraazatetracyclo[18.2.2.02,7.014,19]tetracosa-2(7),3,5,8,12,14(19),15,17-octaene containing a piperazine moiety is described. Macrocyclic Schiff base complexes, [NiL](ClO4)2 (1) and [CuL](ClO4)2 (2) have been obtained from equimolar amounts of ligand (L) with nickel(II) and copper(II) metal ions. While the equilibrium reaction in the presence of cobalt(II) and zinc(II) metal ions with ligand L in a 1:1 molar ratio yielded the open-chain Schiff base complexes, [CoL′](ClO4)2 (3) and [ZnL′](ClO4)2 (4) containing two terminal primary amino groups. The ligand L′ is 1,4-bis(2-(2-aminoethyliminomethyl)phenyl)piperazine. The crystal structures of (1) and (4) have been also determined by X-ray diffraction. It was shown that the Ni(II) is coordinated to the ligand L by two nitrogen atoms of piperazine group and two nitrogen atoms of the imine groups, in a slightly distorted square-planar geometry. Also single crystal X-ray analysis of (4) confirmed a distorted octahedral arrangement in the vicinity of Zn atom with N6 donor set. The spectroscopic characterization of all complexes is consistent with their crystal structures.  相似文献
