TFC-612, methyl 6-({(1R,2S,3R)-3-hydroxy-2-{(1E,3S,5R)-3-hydroxy-5-methyl-1-nonenyl}-5-oxocyclopentyl}-thio]-hexanoate, inhibited the progression of the lesion in a lauric acid-induced peripheral arterial occlusive model at 1.0 mg/kg p.o. or 1.0 μg/rat/h s.c. in rats. Aspirin (32 mg/kg, p.o.), an anti-platelet drug, did not suppress the lesion growth. On the other hand, ketanserin (10 mg/kg, p.o.), a 5-HT2 antagonist, also inhibited the progression of the lesion. In vitro, TFC-612 inhibited rat platelet aggregation induced by collagen and ADP with IC50 values of 5.4 ng/mL and 9.5 ng/mL, respectively. Aspirin also inhibited collagen-induced aggregation with an IC50 value of 6.3 μg/mL, but not ADP-induced aggregation at 180 μg/mL. Ketanserin had no effect on either aggregation at 40 μg/mL. In ex vivo experiments, aspirin inhibited platelet aggregation induced by collagen at 10 and 32 mg/kg in rats. However, TFC-612 showed significant inhibition only at 10 mglkg. TFC-612 and ketanserin increased dermal blood flow in the rat paw at 1.0 μg/kg i.v. and 100 μg/kg Lv., respectively. Aspirin had no effect on blood flow at 3.2 mg/kg i.v. These results suggest that the improvement of microcirculation, in addition to anti-platelet action by TFC-612, contributes to its inhibitory effect in a peripheral arterial occlusive model in rats.  相似文献

Intracerebroventricular administration of prostaglandins E1 or E2 was shown to block, while PGF increased the incidence of tonic convulsion due to electroshock in mice. The Prostaglandins were administered intracerebroventricularly (i.c.v.) to conscious mice by a modification of Haley and McCormick's method (1) prior to a transcorneal maximal electroshock (MES) or a transcorneal supra-maximal electroshock (SMES). PGE1 and PGE2 i.c.v. blocked the tonic hindlimb extension (THE) and protected the animals from death induced by MES with ED50's for PGE1 and PGE2 for inhibition of the THE of 6.6 (4.3–12.0) μg/mouse i.c.v. and 13.3 (8.9–22.4) μg/mouse i.c.v. respectively. When PGE2 was administered intraperitoneally (i.p.) in doses as high as 4.0 mg/kg it did not block the THE. However, the duration of the THE as well as the mortality were reduced by doses of 0.5–4.0 mg/kg PGE2 i.p.. Both PGE1 and PGE2 were shown to cause a dose related significant (p<.001) decrease in the duration of the THE with SMES in doses of 1–10 μg/mouse i.c.v. for PGE1 and 2–40 μg/mouse i.c.v. for PGE2. PGF, administered i.c.v. prior to a transcorneal electroshock equivalent to a current at the ED1 level, increased the incidence of the THE as well as the mortality in doses of 20–50 μg/mouse.  相似文献

Prostaglandin E1 (PGE1) has been proposed as the mediator of pyrogen fever. Pyrogen fever has been shown to be enhanced in rabbits pretreated with p-chlorophenylalanine (p-CPA) but depressed in animals pretreated with α-methyl-p-tyrosine (α-MPT). In the present study α-MPT paradoxically enhanced the onset of hyperthermia produced by PGE1 (5.0 μg) injected into a lateral ventricle. However PGE1 hyperthermia was not affected by pretreatment with p-CPA, chlorimipramine HCl (5 mg/kg i.v.) or methysergide bimaleate (1 mg/kg i.v.). PGE1 (0.5 μg) hyperthermia was not altered by either α-MPT or p-CPA pretreatment. These results suggest that if PGE1 is the mediator of pyrogen fever in the rabbit, the biogenic amines exert their effects prior to the release of PGE1. Morphine sulphate (10 mg/kg i.v.) and chlorpromazine HCl (5 mg base/kg i.v.) blocked PGE1 hyperthermia whereas benztropine mesylate (0.2 mg/kg i.v.) was ineffective as an antagonist.  相似文献

The role of the central nervous system (CNS) in the antiarrhythmic effects of prostaglandins (PGs) E2, F, and I2 was studied by administering each agent into the left lateral cerebral ventricle (i.c.v. administration) of chloralose-anesthetized cats. The cardiac arrhythmias were produced by intravenous (i.v.) infusion of ouabain (1 μg/kg/min). The PGs E2, F and I2 on i.c.v. administration in the dose range of 1 ng to 10 μg failed to inhibit ouabain-induced cardiac arrhythmias. However, when infused i.v., PGE2 (1 μg/kg/min), PGF (5 μg/kg/min), and PGI2 (2 μg/kg/min) effectively suppressed these arrhythmias. The standard antiarrhythmic drug propanolol (0.5–8.0 mg)oni.c.v.administration also significantly reduced the ouabain-induced cardiac arrhythmias. It is suggested that the CNS is not the site of action of PGs E2, F, and I2 in antagonising the ouabain-induced cardiotoxicity in cats.  相似文献

The aim of the current study was to elucidate the underlying central mechanism(s) of the cardiovascular effects evoked by centrally injected melittin and arachidonic acid (AA) in hemorrhaged hypotensive condition, specifically, from central AA release from the cell membrane under the influence of phospholipase A2 (PLA2) to central thromboxane A2 (TXA2) signaling via the cyclooxygenase (COX) pathway. As the main control of the study, melittin (3 μg) or AA (150 μg) was injected intracerebroventricularly (i.c.v.) after the hemorrhage procedure, which was performed by withdrawing a total volume of 2.2 ml of blood/100 g body weight over a period of 10 min. Both treatments generated a pressor response and abolished the hypotension-induced hemorrhage. Pretreatment with the PLA2 inhibitor mepacrine (500 μg; i.c.v.) completely blocked the pressor response to melittin in the hemorrhagic hypotensive state. Pretreatments with the nonselective COX inhibitor indomethacin (200 μg; i.c.v.) or the TXA2 synthesis inhibitor furegrelate (250 or 500 μg; i.c.v.) were made to test the role of central COX activity and, subsequently, the TXA2 signaling pathway in the melittin- or AA-mediated reversal of hemorrhagic hypotension. Indomethacin completely prevented the pressor response to melittin and AA in the hemorrhaged, hypotensive state, but furegrelate did so only partially. In conclusion, these findings suggest that central COX activity and, subsequently, the central TXA2 signaling pathway, are, at least in part, involved in the melittin- or AA-induced reversal effect during hemorrhagic shock.  相似文献

Ten to 60 minutes following a single i.v. injection of PGE2 (500 μg/rat) into male rats of 30 to 35 days of age FSH concentration in the serum was raised significantly. The rise in FSH was maintained from 10 to 60 minutes after treatment, then at 90 minutes FSH had declined and was not significantly different from that of the control before treatment. Prostaglandin E1, E2 or F (670μg/rat) significantly increased the serum prolactin level 10 to 60 minutes after a single i.v. injection in spayed rats primed with estrogen and progesterone. And, rats primed with estrogen and progesterone. And, increases in prolactin in the serum were observed with as little as 2μg of PGE1 or E2, and 20μg of PGF. Twenty μg of PGE2, and 200μg of PGE1 or F gave the maximum stimulation. These results indicate that release of pituitary hormones is affected by prostaglandins.Prostaglandins (PGs) are widely distributed in mammalian tissues, and they have been reported to have an almost equally wide variety of endocrine and metabolic effects. It was recently postulated that PGs may be involved in the process of ovulation because ovulation was blocked by inhibitors of PG synthesis (1–5).  相似文献

Prostacyclin (PGI2) induced a dose-dependent decrease in blood pressure with slight increases in heart rate and body temperature, when administered at the doses of 0.1–100 μg into the lateral cerebral ventricle (i.c.v.) of the urethane-anaesthetised rat. When the same doses were administered intravenously, both the blood pressure and heart rate decreased. Central pretreatment with sodium meclofenamate (1 mg/rat i.c.v.) antagonised the central hypotensive effect of PGI2 but i.c.v. pretreatment of the rats with indomethacin (1 mg/rat) failed to affect the PGO2-induced hypotension. Central pretreatment with two histamine H2-receptor antagonists, cimetidine (500 μg/rat i.c.v.) or metiamide (488 μg/rat i.c.v.), antagonised the blood pressure lowering effect of 0.1 μg dose of PGI2 but failed to affect the hypotension induced by higher PGI2 doses. Therefore the main central hypotensive effect of PGI2 seems not to be associated with the stimulation of histamine H2 -receptors in the brain. The hypotensive effect of i.c.v. administered PGI2 appears to be due to an action upon the central nervous system rather than to a leakage into the peripheral circulation. This assumption is supported by the fact that sodium meclofenamate i.c.v. antagonished the effect of PGI2. In addition, the chronotropic response to i.c.v. PGI2 was opposite to that induced by intravenous administration. The results also suggest that there may be differences in the mode of action between sodium meclofenamate and indomethacin.  相似文献

The selective TxA2/PGH2 (TP) receptor antagonist, SQ 30, 741, was used to test the hypothesis that TP-receptor activation contributes to the reactivity of airways and isolated trachea to endothelin-1 (ET-1). Dose-dependent contractions of guinea pig tracheal strips to ET-1 in vitro were unaffected by either SQ 30, 741 (1 μM) or indomethacin (2.8 μM). In contrast, maximal bronchospastic responses (increases in airways resistance and decreases in dynamic lung compliance) of anesthetized guinea pigs to ET-1 (.05 and 1.5 nmole/kg i.v.) in vitro were blocked >90% by SQ 30, 741 (1 mg/kg i.v.). Concurrent increases in arterial blood pressure and decreases in leukocyte counts induced by ET-1 were unaffected by SQ 30, 741. In rats, ET-1 (1.5 nmole/kg i.v.) did not affect lung mechanics, but did cause biphasic blood pressure and leukopenia responses which were unaltered by SQ 30, 741. These data demonstrate that there is considerable species variability in the bronchospastic response to ET-1, and that in guinea pigs, this repsonse is caused predominantly by the activation of TP-receptors.  相似文献

Administration of PGF (0.2–6.4 μg) into the lateral cerebral ventricle (i.c.v.) induced dosedependent increases in blood pressure, heart rate and body temperature in urethane-anaesthetised rats, but had no effect on these parameters when the same dose range was administered intravenously. Peripheral pretreatment with sodium meclofenamate (50 mg/kg s.c.) shifted all the dose-response curves for PGF (i.c.v.) to the left, but indomethacin (50 mg/kg s.c.) did not significantly affect those changes. Central pretreatment with sodium meclofenamate or indomethacin (1.25 mg per rat i.c.v.) failed to modify significantly the effects of centrally administered PGF.The results support previous suggestions that PGF may participate in the central control of the cardiovascular and thermoregulatory systems, and also suggest that there may be differences in the sites and/or modes of action between sodium meclofenamate and indomethacin.  相似文献

The effects of intraventricularly administered prostaglandins I2 (PGI2), E2 (PGE2), F (PGF2α) and indomethacin on systemic blood pressure were investigated in conscious rats. PGI2 (1.25 – 10 g/kg) decreased blood pressure in a dose-related manner, whereas PGE2 (100 – 1000 ng/kg) dose-dependently increased blood pressure. Both PGF2α (0.31 – 20 μg/kg) and indomethacin (0.625 – 40 μg/kg) had no effects on blood pressure. These results indicate that intraventricular injection of PGI2 or PGE2 can induce significant changes in blood pressure, while endogenous prostaglandins synthesized in the brain seem to play a minor role in direct regulation of systemic blood pressure in the rat.  相似文献

These experiments were conducted to determine the effects of dipyridemole on human platelet aggregation, platelet thromboxane A2 (TXA2) and human vessel wall prostacyclin (PGI2) generation. Dipyridamole in varying concentrations (5 to 50 μg/ml) had no direct effect on ADP-induced platelet aggregation in vitro, but it potentiated PGI2-induced platelet aggregation inhibition at these concentrations. Dipyridamole also inhibited arachidonic acid-induced platelet TXA2 generation at these concentrations. In continuously perfused umbilical vein segments, dipyridamole treatment resulted in stimulation of PGI2 release determined by bioassay and by measurement of its stable metabolite 6-keto-PGF. Minimum concentration of dipyridamole causing PGI2 release was 50 μg/ml. These in vitro studies suggest that anti-thrombotic effects of dipyridamole in man are mediated mainly by potentiation of PGI2 activity and to some extent by TXA2 suppression. Stimulation of PGI2 release by human vessels may not be seen in usual therapeutic concentrations.  相似文献

The levels of the stable degradation products of prostacyclin (PGI2) and thromboxane A2 (TXA2): 6-oxo-prostaglandin F(6-oxo-PGE) and thromboxane B2 (TXB2) respectively were determined in the effluent of the rabbit epigastric skin flap after infusion of exogenous arachidonic acid. The blood to the flap passes through the microcirculation and thus the changes in eicosanoid biosynthesis in this part of the vasculature were recorded. The aim was to use inhibitors of arachidonic acid metabolism to increase the PGI2/TXA2 ratio. This may be potentially beneficial to ischaemic skin flaps by reducing platelet aggregation associated with damaged microvascular endothelium, overcoming vasospasm and increasing microvascular blood flow. Increased PGI2/TXA2 ratios (up to 5-fold) were best achieved using TXA2 synthetase inhibitors such as dazoxiben hydrochloride. These were significantly more potent than the phosphodiesterase inhibitor dipyridamole, and the lipoxygenase inhibitor Bay g6575. No increase in blood flow was achieved. The cyclooxygenase inhibitor indomethacin did slow the blood flow at high concentrations (above 10−5 M), and inhibited both PGI2 and TXA2 synthesis. Approximately 2-fold higher concentrations of dazoxiben hydrochloride and dipyridamole were required to produce the same TXA2 synthetase inhibition in the flap microvasculature compared with platelets .  相似文献

A novel carbacyclin derivative (16S)-13,14-dehydro-16,20-dimethyl-3-oxa-18,18,19,19-tetradehydro-6a-carbaprostaglandin-I2 (3-oxa-analogue) has been synthesized in order to find chemically and metabolically stable prostacyclin-memetics with a potency equal or even superior to PGI2.The 3-oxa-analogue was found to be stabilized against β-oxidation, a main metabolic degradation step also for chemically stable PGI2-analogues. The compound is orally available and displays a long duration of 4,5 – 48 h of antiaggregatory and hypotensive action. The 3-oxa-analogue inhibits ADP-induced platelet aggregation with an IC50 of 3.0 nM. Following intravenous application the 3-oxa-analogue lowers diastolic blood pressure in a dose dependent manner, the ED20 being 0.1 – 0.2 μg/kg after injection and ≤ 0.05 μg/kg/min after infusion respectively. In vivo platelet aggregation is inhibited after i.v. infusion of the 3-oxa-analogue with an IC50 of 0.037 μg/kg/min. As compared to Iloprost, the 3-oxa-analogue is 5 – 12 fold more potent with respect to in vivo hypotensive and anti-aggregatory effects. The results of the present studies indicate that the 3-oxa-analogue has a pharmacological profile comparable to prostacyclin (PGI2) and Iloprost. Due to the fact that the 3-oxa-analogue is chemically and metabolically stable, long term oral treatment can be achieved in clinical conditions in which PGI2 and Iloprost have already been shown to be therapeutically useful principles.  相似文献

The hypothesis that prostaglandins have a modulatory role in adrenergic neurotransmitter release was tested in the anesthetized dog. Inhibition of prostaglandin synthesis with indomethacin (10 mg/kg, i.v.) did not alter positive chronotropic responses to cardioaccelerator nerve stimulation or blood pressure responses to exogenous norepinephrine. In the presence of indomethacin, infusions of PGE2 (0.01 and 0.1 μg kg−1 min−1) also failed to influence the responses to cardioaccelerator nerve stimulation although the blood pressure responses to exogenous norepinephrine were reduced in a dose-related manner. It was concluded that endogenous prostaglandins and exogenous PGE2, the purported physiological inhibitor of neurotransmitter release in cardiac tissue, do not play a role in modulating chronotropic responses during cardioaccelerator nerve stimulation in the anesthetized dog.  相似文献

Background

BPC 157 is a stable gastric pentadecapeptide recently implicated with a role in hemostasis. While NO is largely implicated in hemostatic mechanisms, in tail-amputation-models under heparin- and warfarin-administration, both the NO-synthase (NOS)-blocker, L-NAME (prothrombotic) and the NOS-substrate L-arginine (antithrombotic), were little investigated. Objective. To investigate the effect of L-NAME and L-arginine on hemostatic parameters, and to reveal the effects of BPC 157 on the L-NAME- and L-arginine-induced hemostatic actions under different pathological condition: tail amputation without or with anticoagulants, heparin or warfarin.

Methods

Tail amputation, and/or i.v.-heparin (10 mg/kg), i.g.-warfarin (1.5 mg/kg/day for 3 days) were used in rats. Treatment includes BPC 157, L-NAME, L-arginine, per se and their combination.

Results

After (tail) amputation, with or without i.v.-heparin or i.g.-warfarin, BPC 157 (10 μg/kg, 10 ng/kg, i.p., i.v. (heparin), 10 μg/kg i.g. (warfarin)) always reduced bleeding time and/or haemorrhage and counteracted thrombocytopenia. As for L-NAME and/or L-arginine, we noted: L-arginine (100 mg/kg i.p.)–rats: more bleeding, less/no thrombocytopenia; L-NAME (5 mg/kg i.p.)-rats: less bleeding (amputation only), but present thrombocytopenia; L-NAME+L-arginine-rats also exhibited thrombocytopenia: L-NAME counteracted L-arginine-increased bleeding, L-arginine did not counteract L-NAME-thrombocytopenia. All animals receiving BPC 157 in addition (BPC 157μg+L-NAME; BPC 157μg+L-arginine, BPC 157μg+L-NAME+L-arginine), exhibited decreased haemorrhage and markedly counteracted thrombocytopenia.

Conclusions

L-NAME (thrombocytopenia), L-arginine (increased haemorrhage) counteraction and BPC 157 (decreased haemorrhage, counteracted thrombocytopenia) with rescue against two different anticoagulants, implicate a BPC 157 modulatory and balancing role with rescued NO-hemostatic mechanisms.  相似文献

The study was performed to investigate the influence of lipoproteins (LP) on the thromboxane (TX) A2 formation capacity of platelets in clotting whole blood in vitro. The different lipoprotein fractions VLDL, LDL, HDL2 and HDL3 were isolated from blood of normo- or dyslipidemic volunteers by ultracentrifugation. These lipoproteins were incubated in blood with different levels of serum total cholesterol (TC) taken from normolipidemics (TC < 200 mg/dl), moderate hypercholesterolemics (TC: 200–250 mg/dl) or subjects with high cholesterol level (TC > 250 mg/dl), respectively. The amount of serum TXA2 formed within 60 min at 37°C was measured by enzyme immunoassay. The results obtained show that the efficacy of separate LP fractions to influence the TXA2 production depends not only on the type of LP fraction but also on the source of plasma used for isolation of LP and on the cholesterol level in the blood for incubation: LDL taken from normolipidemics or moderate hyperlipidemics inhibited the TXA2 formation in blood from normolipidemics (P < 0.02, respectively), but enhanced it in blood from persons with moderate hypercholesterolemia (P < 0.05). LDL from hyperlipidemics enhanced TXA2 production in blood from hyperlipidemics (P < 0.05). The HDL2 fractions inhibited the TXA2 formation in blood from normo- and hypercholesterolemics (P < 0.02, resp.), but there was no effect of HDL2 in clotting blood from persons with moderate hypercholesterolemia. All HDL3 fractions tested inhibited the TXA2 formation in all types of blood used for clotting (P < 0.02, resp.), probably due to their great cholesterol accepting capacity.  相似文献

The airway and lung dynamics of prostaglandin F (PGF) and three of its metabolites were examined in the spontaneously-ventilated, pentobarbital anesthetized dog. Changes in expiratory flow rate, tidal volume, respiration rate, lung resistance and dynamic lung compliance were evaluated and compared quantitatively. In a dose range of 0.3–3.0 μg/kg i.v., PGF and its 13,14-dihydro metabolite were found to be exceptionally potent agents. This metabolite was approximately twice as potent as PGF on most parameters studied. Two other metabolites, 15-keto-PGF and 15-keto-13,14-dihydro-PGF, were only slightly effective, even in a dose range of 1.0–30.0 μg/kg i.v. These latter two metabolites produced dose-response curves with significantly shallower slopes than PGF and were shown to be at least thirty-five times less potent than the parent compound. Therefore, oxidation of PGF at the carbon-15 position by 15-hydroxy prostaglandin dehydrogenase appears to produce compounds with minimal bronchopulmonary activity.  相似文献

U-68,215 [15-Cyclohexyl-9-deoxo-13, 14-dihydro-2′, 9a-methano-4,5,6,16,17,18,19,20-octanor-3-oxa-3,7-(′1,′3-interphenylene)-PGE1] is a stable prostacyclin analog. When given orally to rats, it is cytoprotective for the stomach (ED50: 0.8 μg/kg) and the intestine (ED50: 22 μg/kg), is gastric antisecretory (ED50: 35 μg/kg) and antiulcer (aspirin) (ED50: 5 μg/kg). The oral antisecretory ED50 in dogs in 50 μg/kg. It has a long duration of gastric cytoprotection: 8–10 hours compared to 3 hours for 16, 16-dimethyl PGE2 Unlike most prostaglandins of the E type, it is not diarrheogenic (not enteropooling), it does not induced cellular proliferation of the gastroeintestinal mucosa, when given twice a day for eight days, it is not uterotonic (in monkeys), and it does not prevent embryo implantation in hamsters. It ihibits platelet aggregation (ED50: 300 μg/kg), but does not promote bleeding from cut vessels nor from gastric ulcers. U-68,215 lowers blood pressure at a n oral dose correponding to 1–5 time the antisecretory ED50 in rats and dogs, and to 150 times the cytoprotective ED50 in rats. It may be of therapeutic value in the treatment of conditions where inhibition of gastric acid secretion is desirable, e.g., gastric and duodenal ulcer, and in conditions responding to cytoprotection, e.g., stress ulcers, hemorrhagic gastritis and gastric erosions associated with nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs.  相似文献

A rapid and sensitive high-performance liquid chromatography–electrospray MS method has been developed to determine tissue distribution of betulinic acid in mice. The method involved deproteinization of these samples with 2.5 volumes (v/w) of acetonitrile–ethanol (1:1) and then 5 μl aliquots of the supernatant were injected onto a C18 reversed-phase column coupled with an electrospray MS system. The mobile phase employed isocratic elution with 80% acetonitrile for 10 min; the flow-rate was 0.7 ml/min. The column effluent was analyzed by selected ion monitoring for the negative pseudo-molecular ion of betulinic acid [M−H] at m/z 455. The limit of detection for betulinic acid in biological samples by this method was approximately 1.4 pg and the coefficients of variation of the assay (intra- and inter-day) were generally low (below 9.1%). When athymic mice bearing human melanoma were treated with betulinic acid (500 mg/kg, i.p.), distribution was as follows: tumor, 452.2±261.2 μg/g; liver, 233.9±80.3 μg/g; lung, 74.8±63.7 μg/g; kidney, 95.8±122.8 μg/g; blood, 1.8±0.5 μg/ml. No interference was noted due to endogenous substances. These methods of analysis should be of value in future studies related to the development and characterization of betulinic acid.  相似文献

Granulosa, theca and corpus luteum cells of the goat ovary were isolated and incubated separately for 6 hours, with or without various modulators. Arachidonic acid (AA, 10 ng to 100 μg/ml), the precursor for prostaglandin synthesis, produced a dose-dependent increase in progesterone (P4) and estradiol-17β (E2) productin by all the cell types. Prostaglandin synthetase inhibitors, aspirin (10−6−10−3M) and indomethacin (100 ng−1 mg/ml), produced a dose-dependent decrease in arachidonic acid-stimulated (100 μ/ml) steroid production. Prostacyclin synthetase stimulators, trapidil (1.6 μg− 1 mg/ml) and dipyridamole (10−6−10−3M), when added alone or along with AA, did not effect steroid production. Up to 100 μg/ml of U-51605 (9,11-azoprosta-5, 13-dienoic acid), a prostacyclin synthetase inhibitor, did not inhibit basal or AA-stimulated steroid production. Prostacyclin (PGl2) and its stable analog 6βPGl1(0.01–10μg/ml) produced a dose-dependent increase in P4 and E2 production in all three cell types. Increase at 1 and 10μg/ml was significant in all cases. 6-keto-PGE1 (an active metabolite of PGl2 in certain systems) produced an increase in steroid production which was significant in theca at 1μg/ml concentrations but had no significant effect on granulosa and corpus luteum cells at any dose level. 6-keto-PGf1 alpha (stable metabolite of PGl2) was without effect inthe present system. The lack of effect of PGl2 at lower concentrations was not altered by either differentiation of the cells with FSH and testosterone or addition of steroid precursors, testosterone and pregnenolene. The present results indicate that AA- stimualted steroid production in the goat ovarian cell type is mediated by prostaglandins other than PGl2 though PGl2 itself can positively modulate the steroid production.  相似文献
