Thioredoxin (Trx) is a highly conserved and multi-functional protein that plays a pivotal role in maintaining the redox state of the cell and in protecting the cell against oxidative stress. Trx gene from Antarctic sea-ice bacteria Pseudoalteromonas sp. AN178 was cloned and expressed as soluble protein in Escherichia coli (designated as PsTrx). Trx gene consisted of an open reading frame of 324-bp nucleotides encoding a protein of 108 amino acids with a calculated molecular mass of 11.88 kDa. The deduced protein included the conserved Cys–Gly–Pro–Cys active-site sequence. After purification by a single step Ni–NTA affinity chromatography, recombinant PsTrx with a high specific activity of 96.67 U/mg was obtained. The purified PsTrx had an optimal temperature and pH of 25 °C and 7.0, respectively, and showed about 55 % of the residual catalytic activity even at 0–10 °C. It had high tolerance to a wide range of NaCl concentrations (0–2 M NaCl) and was stable in the presence of H2O2. This research suggested that PsTrx displayed unique catalytic properties.  相似文献

A novel Gram-positive, aerobic, actinobacterial strain, CF5/5, was isolated from soil in the Sahara desert, Chad. It grew best at 20–35 °C and at pH 6.0–8.0 and with 0–4 % (w/v) NaCl, forming black-colored colonies. Chemotaxonomic and molecular characteristics of the isolate matched those described for members of the genus Geodermatophilus. The DNA G + C content was 75.9 mol%. The peptidoglycan contained meso-diaminopimelic acid; galactose and xylose were detected as diagnostic sugars. The main phospholipids were diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylcholine, and phosphatidylinositol; MK-9(H4) was the dominant menaquinone. The major cellular fatty acids were: iso-C16:0 and iso-C15:0. The 16S rRNA gene showed 95.6–98.3 % sequence similarity with the other named members of the genus Geodermatophilus. Based on the polyphasic taxonomy data, the isolate is proposed to represent a novel species, Geodermatophilus saharensis with the type strain CF5/5T = DSM 45423 = CCUG 62813 = MTCC 11416.  相似文献

The Alpine ibex Capra ibex and the wild goat Capra aegagrus are the only caprids known to have existed in the Balkan Peninsula. The agrimi is a feral primitive form of the domestic goat Capra hircus but may constitute an island subspecies of C. aegagrus endemic to Crete, Greece. Here, the distribution of C. ibex and C. aegagrus in this southernmost Balkan country was reviewed for the period from Middle Pleistocene until today through a scientific and historical document search. Such knowledge should provide directions to future conservation plans for these species and aid in tracing the origins of agrimi. Fossil locations indicate that both species lived in this country at elevations of similar altitude (≥10–?≤?2,497 m a.s.l.). C. ibex colonised Greece naturally, perhaps, not earlier than 126,000 years ago. It was spread over most of the mainland (36–41° N and 20–24° E) where from it disappeared after 5600 BC due to hunting. C. aegagrus constituted an exotic in Europe. Man introduced it to insular and mainland Greece (between 35–40° N and 19–26° E) from around 8600 and 7000 BC, respectively. It went extinct on the mainland probably before 6000 BC. Only C. ibex should, therefore, be restored to its former Balkan ranges. This review provides further support for the wild origin hypothesis for agrimi.  相似文献

It is at the population level that an invasion either fails or succeeds. Lantana camara L. (Verbenaceae) is a weed of great significance in Queensland Australia and globally but its whole life-history ecology is poorly known. Here we used 3 years of field data across four land use types (farm, hoop pine plantation and two open eucalyptus forests, including one with a triennial fire regime) to parameterise the weed’s vital rates and develop size-structured matrix models. Lantana camara in its re-colonization phase, as observed in the recently cleared hoop pine plantation, was projected to increase more rapidly (annual growth rate, λ = 3.80) than at the other three sites (λ 1.88–2.71). Elasticity analyses indicated that growth contributed more (64.6 %) to λ than fecundity (18.5 %) or survival (15.5 %), while across size groups, the contribution was of the order: juvenile (19–27 %) ≥ seed (17–28 %) ≥ seedling (16–25 %) > small adult (4–26 %) ≥ medium adult (7–20 %) > large adult (0–20 %). From a control perspective it is difficult to determine a single weak point in the life cycle of lantana that might be exploited to reduce growth below a sustaining rate. The triennial fire regime applied did not alter the population elasticity structure nor resulted in local control of the weed. However, simulations showed that, except for the farm population, periodic burning could work within 4–10 years for control of the weed, but fire frequency should increase to at least once every 2 years. For the farm, site-specific control may be achieved by 15 years if the biennial fire frequency is tempered with increased burning intensity.  相似文献

The dependence of the heterotrophic activity of bacterioplankton (V, μg C L–1 h–1) on the concentration of chlorophyll a (Chl, μg L–1) and the water temperature (T) was examined for lakes (37°29′–80°36′ N) and marine polar waters (69°16′–80°36′ N). It was shown that ~76% of the V variations was related to changes in Chl and T.  相似文献

The strain designated as AB21T was isolated from chloroethylenes contaminated soil. Cells are gram-negative, aerobic, non-spore-forming, and motile rods. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequence showed that it belonged to the genus Rhizobium, and was closely related to Rhizobium sullae IS 123T (97.4 %), Rhizobium yanglingense SH 22623T (97.2 %), Rhizobium gallicum R 602spT (97.1 %), Rhizobium alamii GBV 016T (97.0 %), and Rhizobium monogolense USDA 1844T (97.0 %). It showed less than 97 % identity with the remaining Rhizobium species. This novel isolate grew optimally at 25–37 °C (optimum, 30 °C) and pH 6–9 (optimum, pH 8.0). It grew in the presence of 0–4 % (w/v) NaCl, tolerating a 4 % (w/v) NaCl. DNA–DNA hybridization experiment shows less than 53 % binding with closely related Rhizobium. Predominant quinone is ubiquinone (Q-10). The major fatty acids were summed feature 8 (composed of C18:1 ω7c/C18:1 ω6c), C19:0 cyclo ω8c, and C16:0. The G+C molar content is 62.5 mol%. Based on the polyphasic analysis, strain AB21T is referred to be a novel species of the genus Rhizobium for which the name Rhizobium halotolerans sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is AB21T (=KEMC 224-056T = JCM 17536T).  相似文献

β-Pinene, an oxygenated monoterpene, is abundantly found in the environment and widely occurring in plants as a constituent of essential oils. We investigated the phytotoxicity of β-pinene against two grassy (Phalaris minor, Echinochloa crus-galli) and one broad-leaved (Cassia occidentalis) weeds in terms of germination and root and shoot growth. β-Pinene (0.02–0.80 mg/ml) inhibited the germination, root length, and shoot length of test weeds in a dose–response manner. The inhibitory effect of β-pinene was greater in grassy weeds and on root growth than on shoot growth. β-Pinene (0.04–0.80 mg/ml) reduced the root length in P. minor, E. crus-galli, and C. occidentalis over that in the control by 58–60, 44–92, and 26–85 %, respectively. In contrast, shoot length was reduced over the control by 45–97 % in P. minor, 48–78 % in E. crus-galli, and 11–75 % in C. occidentalis at similar concentrations. Further, we examined the impact of β-pinene on membrane integrity in P. minor as one of the possible mechanisms of action. Membrane integrity was evaluated in terms of lipid peroxidation, conjugated diene content, electrolyte leakage, and the activity of lipoxygenases (LOX). β-Pinene (≥0.04 mg/ml) enhanced electrolyte leakage by 23–80 %, malondialdehyde content by 15–67 %, hydrogen peroxide content by 9–39 %, and lipoxygenases activity by 38–383 % over that in the control. It indicated membrane peroxidation and loss of membrane integrity that could be the primary target of β-pinene. Even the enhanced (9–62 %) activity of protecting enzymes, peroxidases (POX), was not able to protect the membranes from β-pinene (0.04-0.20 mg/ml)-induced toxicity. In conclusion, our results show that β-pinene inhibits root growth of the tested weed species through disruption of membrane integrity as indicated by enhanced peroxidation, electrolyte leakage, and LOX activity despite the upregulation of POX activity.  相似文献

A novel endoglucanase gene, mgcel44, was isolated from a mangrove soil metagenomic library by functional-based screening. It encodes a 648-aa peptide with a catalytic domain of glycosyl hydrolase family 44. The deduced amino acid sequence of mgcel44 shares less than 50 % identity with endoglucanases in GenBank database. mgcel44 was cloned and overexpressed in Escherichia coli. The recombinant enzyme, MgCel44, has a molecular mass of 70.8 kDa as determined by SDS-PAGE. Its optimal pH and temperature for activity were 6 and 45 °C, respectively. It was highly active at 25–45 °C and pH 5–8. Its activity was enhanced in 0.5 M NaCl by >1.6-fold and stable up to 1.5 M NaCl. MgCel44 was resistant to several organic solvents and had high activity at 15 % (v/v) solvent after incubating for 24 h at 25 °C.  相似文献

A Gram-negative, motile and rod-shaped bacterial strain, G-M8T, which was isolated from seashore sand around a seaweed farm at Geoje island in South Korea, was characterized taxonomically. It grew optimally at 30–37 °C, at pH 7.0–8.0 and in presence of 2 % (w/v) NaCl. A neighbour-joining phylogenetic tree based on 16S rRNA gene sequences revealed that strain G-M8T joined the cluster comprising the type strains of Ruegeria atlantica and Ruegeria lacuscaerulensis, showing 97.5 % sequence similarity, by a bootstrap resampling value of 85.8 %. It exhibited 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity values of 95.4–96.7 % to the type strains of the other Ruegeria species. Strain G-M8T exhibited the highest gyrB sequence similarity value (88.5 %) to the type strain of R. lacuscaerulensis. Strain G-M8T contained Q-10 as the predominant ubiquinone and C18:1 ω7c as the predominant fatty acid. The polar lipid profile of strain G-M8T was similar to that of R. atlantica KCTC 12424T. The DNA G+C content of strain G-M8T was 64.6 mol% and its mean DNA–DNA relatedness values with R. atlantica KCTC 12424T and R. lacuscaerulensis KCTC 2953T were 18 ± 5.3 and 10 ± 3.6 %, respectively. Differential phenotypic properties, together with the phylogenetic and genetic distinctiveness, demonstrated that strain G-M8T is distinguished from other Ruegeria species. On the basis of the data presented, strain G-M8T (=KCTC 23960T = CCUG 62412T) represents a novel species of the genus Ruegeria, for which the name Ruegeria arenilitoris sp. nov. is proposed.  相似文献

Arabibarbus hadhrami, a new species of cyprinid fish from the Hadhramaut Province of Yemen, is described. It has modally 30 scales (29–32) in the lateral line, the wedge-shaped head is longer (27.8–32.5 % SL) and higher (15.5–18.4 % SL) than in its congeners. The body is slender and laterally flattened. The dorsal fin is high (26.5–32.4 % SL) and well ossified. The pectoral fins (19.9–23.9 % SL) and pelvic fins (16.8–19.8 % SL) are longer than in its congeners. Two closely related species, Arabibarbus arabicus and Arabibarbus grypus are re-described and compared to the new species. Based on morphological and molecular characters the new genus Arabibarbus is erected for these three species. It is characterised by medium to large body size, an ossified, smooth principal dorsal fin ray, eight branched dorsal and five branched anal fin rays, large shield-shaped scales with numerous parallel radii, a lateral line with 29 to 44 scales, pharyngeal teeth that are hooked at their tips, their count being 2.3.5–5.3.2 and the possession of two pairs of barbels. Arabibarbus hadhrami is the type species of the new genus. The phylogenetic position of the new genus is analysed, based on the mitochondrial cytochrome b gene. It is the sister taxon to the genus Carasobarbus Karaman, 1971 and closely related to Mesopotamichthys Karaman, 1971, Pterocapoeta Günther, 1902 and ‘Barbusreinii Günther, 1874. Arabibarbus probably colonised the Arabian Peninsula about 4 Ma ago, coming from the Tigris-Euphrates drainage in the East via Wādī ar Rimah/Wādī al Bā?in.  相似文献

Using a new culture method for unculturable soil bacteria, we discovered a novel species, NHI-38T, from the forest soil of Kyonggi University campus, South Korea. It was a Gram-positive, rod-shaped, and endospore-forming bacterial strain. It grew over a wide pH range (6.5–9.5), with an optimum range of pH 7–9, and in a wide range of temperatures (15–60 °C), with an optimum range of 35–45 °C. Growth was possible at 0–2 % NaCl concentration, and the optimal range was between 0.5 and 1.5 % NaCl. Phylogenetic analysis based on 16S rRNA gene sequences showed that this new species clustered within the genus Bacillus; it was closely related to “Bacillus abyssalis” SCSIO 15042T (98.86 %), B. methanolicus NCIMB 13113T (95.97 %), B. vietnamensis 15-1T (95.8 %), B. seohaeanensis BH724T (95.5 %), B. timonensis MM10403188T (95.33 %), and B. subtilis subsp. subtilis NCIB 3610T (94.87 %). The main fatty acid components of this bacterium were iso-C15:0 (35.92 %), summed feature 3 (C16:1ω7c/C16:1ω6c; 16.92 %), and anteiso-C15:0 (14.19 %). The predominant quinone in this bacterial strain was MK-7. The polar lipid profile primarily comprised phosphatidylethanolamine, phosphatidylglycerol, and diphosphatidylglycerol. The genomic DNA G+C composition of the isolate was 40.7 mol%. The DNA–DNA hybridization results indicated that this strain was distinct from other Bacillus species, the degree of similarity being 50 % with “B. abyssalis”, 56 % with B. methanolicus, 47 % with B. vietnamensis, 43 % with B. seohaeanensis, 46 % with B. timonensis, and 32 % with B. subtilis. Based on our results, we regard strain NHI-38T as a novel member of the Bacillus genus, and we propose the name Bacillus thaonhiensis (=KACC 17216T = KEMB 9005-019T = JCM 18863T).  相似文献

A wild-type, Gram-positive, rod-shaped, endospore-forming and motile bacteria has been isolated from palm oil mill sludge in Malaysia. Molecular identification using 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis indicated that the bacteria belonged to genus Paenibacillus. With 97 % similarity to P. alvei (AUG6), the isolate was designated as P. alvei AN5. An antimicrobial compound was extracted from P. alvei AN5-pelleted cells using 95 % methanol and was then lyophilized. Precipitates were re-suspended in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), producing an antimicrobial crude extract (ACE). The ACE showed antimicrobial activity against Salmonella enteritidis ATCC 13076, Escherichia coli ATCC 29522, Bacillus cereus ATCC 14579 and Lactobacillus plantarum ATCC 8014. By using SP-Sepharose cation exchange chromatography, Sephadex G-25 gel filtration and Tricine SDS-PAGE, the ACE was purified, which produced a ~2-kDa active band. SDS-PAGE and infrared (IR) spectroscopy indicated the proteinaceous nature of the antimicrobial compound in the ACE, and liquid chromatography electrospray ionization mass spectroscopy and de novo sequencing using an automatic, Q-TOF premier system detected a peptide with the amino acid sequence F–C–K–S–L–P–L–P–L–S–V–K (1,330.7789 Da). This novel peptide was designated as AN5-2. The antimicrobial peptide exhibited stability from pH 3 to 12 and maintained its activity after being heated to 90 °C. It also remained active after incubation with denaturants (urea, SDS and EDTA).  相似文献

A putative endo-1,4-β-d-xylanohydrolase gene xyl11 from Aspergillus niger, encoding a 188-residue xylanase of glycosyl hydrolase family 11, was constitutively expressed in Pichia pastoris. The recombinant Xyl11 exhibited optimal activity at pH 5.0 and 50 °C, and displayed more than 68 % of the maximum activity over the temperature range 35–65 °C and 33 % over the pH range 2.2–7.0. It maintained more than 40 % of the original activity after incubation at 90 °C (pH 5.0) for 10 min and more than 75 % of the original activity after incubation at pH 2.2–11.0 (room temperature) for 2 h. The specific activity, K m and V max of purified Xyl11 were 22,253 U mg?1, 6.57 mg ml?1 and 51,546.4 μmol min?1 mg?1. It could degrade xylan to a series of xylooligosaccharides and no xylose was detected. The recombinant enzyme with high stability and catalytic efficiency could work over wide ranges of pH and temperature and thus has the potential for various industrial applications.  相似文献

A thermostable amidase produced by Geobacillus subterraneus RL-2a was purified to homogeneity, with a yield of 9.54 % and a specific activity of 48.66 U mg?1. The molecular weight of the native enzyme was estimated to be 111 kDa. The amidase of G. subterraneus RL-2a is constitutive in nature, active at a broad range of pH (4.5–11.5) and temperature (40–90 °C) and has a half-life of 5 h and 54 min at 70 °C. Inhibition of enzyme activity was observed in the presence of metal ions, such as Co2+, Hg2+, Cu2+, Ni2+, and thiol reagents. The presence of mid-chain aliphatic and amino acid amides enhances the enzymatic activity. The acyl transferase activity was detected with propionamide, butyramide and nicotinamide. The enzyme showed moderate stability toward toluene, carbon tetrachloride, benzene, ethylene glycol except acetone, ethanol, butanol, propanol and dimethyl sulfoxide. The K m and V max of the purified amidase with nicotinamide were 6.02 ± 0.56 mM and 132.6 ± 4.4 μmol min?1 mg?1 protein by analyzing Michaelis–Menten kinetics. The results of MALDI-TOF analysis indicated that this amidase has homology with the amidase of Geobacillus sp. C56-T3 (gi|297530427). It is the first reported wide-spectrum thermostable amidase from a thermophilic G. subterraneus.  相似文献

Halophilic archaeal strain GX31T was isolated from a marine solar saltern of China. The cells of the strain were rod-shaped and lysed in distilled water, stain Gram-negative and formed red-pigmented colonies. It was neutrophilic, and required at least 0.9 M NaCl and 0–1.0 M MgCl2 for growth under the optimum growth temperature of 37 °C. The major polar lipids of the strain were phosphatidylglycerol (PG), PG phosphate methyl ester, PG sulphate, and two major glycolipids chromatographically identical to sulphated mannosyl glucosyl diether (S-DGD-1) and mannosyl glucosyl diether (DGD-1), respectively. Trace amounts of two unidentified lipids were also detected. On the basis of 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis, strain GX31T was closely related to the members of Halobellus of the family Halobacteriaceae with similarities of 94.1–98.7 %. Strain GX31T showed 89.8–95.4 % of the rpoB′ gene similarity to the members of Halobellus. The DNA G+C content of strain GX31T was 66.8 mol%. Strain GX31T showed low DNA–DNA relatedness with two most related members of the genus Halobellus. The phenotypic, chemotaxonomic and phylogenetic properties suggest that strain GX31T represent a novel species of the genus Halobellus, for which the name Halobellus litoreus sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is GX31T (=CGMCC 1.10387T = JCM 17118T).  相似文献

Root Cl? transport was investigated using 36Cl? flux analysis in two grapevine (Vitis sp.) rootstock hybrids differing in salt tolerance; 1103 Paulsen (salt-tolerant) and K 51–40 (salt sensitive). Initial 36Cl? influx to the root was greater in Paulsen than K 51–40. This flux, attributed to the Cl? influx to the cytoplasm (Φ oc) increased with increasing external concentrations of Cl? for plants adapted to growth in 30 mM NaCl. The concentration kinetics in this high concentration range could be fit to a Michaeils–Menton equation. There was no significant difference between genotypes in Km (28.68 ± 15.76 and 24.27 ± 18.51 mM for Paulsen and K 51–40, respectively), but Paulsen had greater V max (0.127 ± 0.042) compared to K 51–40 (0.059 ± 0.026 μm g?1 FW min?1). In Paulsen, the main root had greater contribution to 36Cl? uptake than lateral roots, there being no significant difference in lateral root influx between the genotypes. 36Cl? transport to the shoot of K 51–40 was greater than for Paulsen. It was estimated that efflux rate from the xylem parenchyma cells to the xylem vessels (Φ cx) in K 51–40 was twice that of Paulsen. Compartmental analysis from 36Cl? efflux kinetics confirmed the larger Φ oc and the higher ratio of main to lateral root Φ oc for Paulsen. Efflux from the cytoplasm (Φ co) was higher than 95 % of Φ oc indicating a high degree of cycling across the plasma membrane in roots at these high external Cl? concentrations. Paulsen appears to keep the cytoplasmic Cl? concentration in roots lower than K 51–40 via greater efflux to the vacuole and to the outside medium. The difference in salt tolerance between the genotypes can be attributed to different Cl? transport properties at the plasma membrane and tonoplast and particularly in Cl? efflux to the xylem.  相似文献

Three pigmented strains of halophilic archaea (RS75, RS77, RS79) were isolated from the monoliths of mottled sylvinite from the Verkhnekamsk salt deposit (Solikamsk, Russia). The cells were nonmotile, gram-negative, pleomorphic, disk-shaped or ovoid, 0.8–1.0 × 1.5–2.5 μm. The organism was a chemoorganotrophic obligate aerobe producing catalase and oxidase. A number of carbohydrates and carboxylic acids were used as growth substrates. Growth occurred in the presence of 7–27 % NaCl (with the optimum at 15–18 %), 0.02–20 % KCl (0.2–1 %), 0.2–16 % MgCl2 (2–3 %), in the temperature range from 23 to 51 °C (40–45 °C), and pH 5.5–8.0 (6.8–7.0). The membranes contained carotenoids of the bacterioruberin series. Phosphatidylglyceromethylphosphate (PGP-Me), phosphatidylglycerol (PG), sulfated diglycosyl diether (S-DGD-1) predominated among the polar lipids. The DNA G + C content was 64.0–65.0 mol %. Phylogenetic analysis of the 16S rRNA gene sequences showed high similarity of the new strains to Haloferax species: H. denitrificans (99.2 %) and H. volcanii (99.1 %), H. larsenii (96.9 %) and H. elongans (96.6 %). DNA–DNA hybridization revealed 93–95 % similarity between strain RS75 and strains RS77 and RS79; the similarity levels between strain RS75 and the type strains of Haloferax denitrificans VKM B-1754T and Halobacterium salinarum VKM B-1769T were 50 and 10 %, respectively. According to its phenotypic and genotypic characteristics, the organism was classified as a member of the genus Haloferax, forming a new species with the proposed name Haloferax chudinovii sp. nov. type strain is RS75T (=VKPM B-11279T).  相似文献

The photosynthetic response was investigated on Chrysanthemum morifolium under dynamic light conditions in the 20–35 °C temperature range to evaluate the effect of climatic variables on photosynthetic induction. The plant material was grown under uniform, controlled conditions and its gas exchange was analyzed. The gas exchange measurements were used to investigate the rate of induction, momentary induction state, and the opening of stomata. At the varying temperature ranges and under dynamic light conditions, C. morifolium reached a quasi-steady-state induction equilibrium (ISeq(PAR,T)) within 14–45 min. For the same level of photosynthetically active radiation (PAR), the equilibrated level of steady-state induction increased as the temperature increased. It was highest approximately at 30 °C. The induction state was equilibrated at a lower level as the temperature increased to 35 °C. The interaction effect of PAR and temperature on induction state was not significant. The rate of photosynthetic induction and the time required at which the induction reached its 90 % value (t 90) was influenced by PAR significantly. The light history of a leaf had a significant effect on t 90, indicating that the time to reach a steady-state induction is different depending on the light environment and the period at which the leaf was exposed to light. The velocity of the photosynthetic induction was not affected by the temperature. It was associated with stomatal conductance of the leaf prior to the onset of light (g Sini).  相似文献

Halophilic archaeal strain YGH66T was isolated from the Yinggehai marine solar saltern near the Sanya city of Hainan Province, China. Cells were pleomorphic, flat, stained Gram-negative, and produced pink-pigmented colonies. Strain YGH66T was able to grow at 20–50 °C (optimum 37 °C), at 0.9–4.8 M NaCl (optimum 3.1 M NaCl), at 0.005–1.0 M MgCl2 (optimum 0.05 M MgCl2), and at pH 6.0–8.0 (optimum pH 7.0). The cells of strain YGH66T were lysed in distilled water, and the minimum NaCl concentration that prevented cell lysis was 5 % (w/v). The major polar lipids of the strain were phosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylglycerol phosphate methyl ester, phosphatidylglycerol sulfate, one major glycolipid (GL1) chromatographically identical to sulfated mannosyl glucosyl diether and a minor unidentified lipid (GL2), respectively. On the basis of 16S rRNA gene sequence analysis, strain YGH66T was closely related to Haloplanus natans JCM 14081T, Haloplanus aerogenes TBN37T, and Haloplanus vescus RO5-8T with the similarities of 98.0, 97.6, and 96.9 %, respectively. The rpoB′ gene similarity between strain YGH66T and the current three members of Haloplanus were 90.4–92.8 %. The DNA G+C content of strain YGH66T was 67.2 mol %. The DNA–DNA hybridization values between strain YGH66T and three members of Haloplanus, H. natans JCM 14081T, H. aerogenes TBN37T, H. vescus RO5-8T were 50, 46 and 39 %, respectively. It was concluded that strain YGH66T represents a novel species of the genus Haloplanus, for which the name Haloplanus salinus sp. nov. is proposed. The type strain is YGH66T (=CGMCC 1.12127T = JCM 18368T).  相似文献
