\"功能分类\"根据功能特性对研究对象进行归类,是全球生态学(Global Ecology)的基本内容。本文介绍了白蚁功能分类的方法、内涵、应用情况及其与形态分类的关系。白蚁功能分类包括Abe的生活类型分类、Donovan等的食性分类、Eggleton和Tayasu的生活方式分类、Davies等的综合分类。目前,食性分类获得较多研究者的认可。功能分类与形态分类的关系较为复杂,低等食草木白蚁一般位于系统发生树的基部,其他类群在此基础上分别产生。不同类群食性进化存在由食木到食土的趋势。虽然功能分类在白蚁不同类群与栖境关系研究中已有较多应用,但食性研究新技术方法的应用还需要进一步加强,白蚁不同功能类群与栖境之间的联系及其机理有待进一步探索。  相似文献

以《中国动物志·昆虫纲·第十七卷·等翅目》一书资料为基础,结合白蚁分类的最新成果,开发了基于web的等翅目昆虫分类系统。本系统由白蚁分类资料显示子系统、白蚁分类资料检索子系统、后台数据库在线管理子系统和白蚁种类鉴定子系统等4个功能模块组成。用户通过Internet网络,可实现白蚁分类资料的查询与未知种类的鉴定。本系统的开发,为我国白蚁种类的识别和相关信息的共享提供了快捷、高效的网络工具。这是计算机信息处理技术与白蚁形态分类学的有机结合,是利用计算机技术提高生物形态学研究、教学效率的一种新途径。  相似文献

本文对有关昆虫特征的类型和应用作了初步分析,将特征归纳为“独自性”和“系统性”两大类。指出祖征的拥有存在着三个方面的不均衡。一个类群拥有比较多而典型的祖征,属于接近祖先的类群;反之,拥有较少而变型的祖征,则属于后起的类型。一般说来,同级阶元非独立拥有的特征不宜作为系统依据。在研究白蚁形态“原始型”和“蜕变型”的基础上,强调“蜕变型”作为衍征在研究等翅目各科系统关系的意义。  相似文献

家白蚁Coptotermes formosanus Shiraki的生物学和初建群体的经过,显示有如下特性:(1)在广州室温条件下,成虫配对后5至10天开始产卵,产卵盛期集中在6天至7天。当年产卵期有5个月,每头雌虫平均产卵约为46粒。雌里产卵后,如果不断将卵取走,产卵量显著提高。这时,每头雌虫平均可产卵约96粒。(2)家白蚁卵要经过成虫或工蚁用口舐触和搬动卵粒才能孵化。孵化期在室温下为31至35天,32至33天为孵化高峰期。卵的孵化期随温度而变化。(3)初步测定幼蚁共有6个龄期。1—2龄幼蚁不活跃,要靠成虫或工蚁喂养,3龄后幼蚁非常活跃并能自己取食。4龄期间出现工蚁和兵蚁的分化,拟工蚁可以产生短翅补充型。(4)蚁巢成片叶状,由成虫唾液与食物及沙土等基质组成。配对后80天腔室内开始出现巢架。(5)家白蚁生活史漫长,需8年才能完成一个周期。  相似文献

白蚁是危险性社会昆虫,建立安全有效的白蚁防治方法有赖多学科的参与,分子生物学已经成为白蚁研究的重要工具。目前,DNA序列分析方法已应用于白蚁鉴定和分类,其中线粒体基因是最通用的分子标记;基因工程技术成功构建了可用于白蚁防治的白蚁肠道工程菌;Hexamerin、COX Ⅲ、纤维素酶等白蚁功能基因以及白蚁品级分化相关的若干蛋白相继得到了分离和鉴定。文章从白蚁分类、防治、功能基因、品级分化4个方面综述白蚁分子生物学的研究进展,为白蚁的防治提供新的方法和思路。  相似文献

A new system of classification of Magnoliaceae proposed. This paper deals mainly with taxonomy and phytogeography of the family Magnoliaceae on the basis of external morphology, wood anatomy and palynology. Different authors have had different ideas about the delimitation of genera of this family, their controversy being carried on through more than one hundred years (Table I). Since I have been engagedin the work of the Flora Reipublicae Popularis Sinicae, I have accumulated a considerable amount of information and material and have investigated the living plants at their natural localities, which enable me to find out the evolutionary tendencies and primitive morphological characters of various genera of the family. According to the evolutionary tendencies of the characters and the geographical distribution of this family I propose anew system by dividing it into two subfamilies, Magnolioideae and Liriodendroideae Law (1979), two tribes, Magnolieae and Michelieae Law, four subtribes, Manglietiinae Law, Magnoliinae, Elmerrilliinae Law and Micheliinae, and fifteen genera (Fig. 1 ), a system which is different from those by J. D. Dandy (1964-1974) and the other authors. The recent distribution and possible survival centre of Magnoliaceae. The members of Magnoliaceae are distributed chiefly in temperate and tropical zones of the Northern Hemisphere, ——Southeast Asia and southeast North America, but a few genera and species also occur in the Malay Archipelago and Brazil of the Southern Hemisphere. Forty species of 4 genera occur in America, among which one genus (Dugendiodendron) is endemic to the continent, while about 200 species of 14 genera occur in Southeast Asia, of which 12 genera are endemic. In China there are about 110 species of 11 genera which mostly occur in Guangxi, Guangdong and Yunnan; 58 species and more than 9 genera occur in the mountainous districts of Yunnan. Moreover, one genus(Manglietiastrum Law, 1979) and 19 species are endemic to this region. The family in discussion is much limited to or interruptedly distributed in the mountainous regions of Guangxi, Guangdong and Yunnan. The regions are found to have a great abundance of species, and the members of the relatively primitive taxa are also much more there than in the other regions of the world. The major genera, Manglietia, Magnolia and Michelia, possess 160 out of a total of 240 species in the whole family. Talauma has 40 species, while the other eleven genera each contain only 2 to 7 species, even with one monotypic genus. These three major genera are sufficient for indicating the evolutionary tendency and geographical distribution of Magnoliaceae. It is worthwhile discussing their morphological characters anddistributional patterns as follows: The members of Manglietia are all evergreen trees, with flowers terminal, anthers dehiscing introrsely, filaments very short and flat, ovules 4 or more per carpel. This is considered as the most primitive genus in subtribe Manglietiinae. Eighteen out of a total of 35 species of the genus are distributed in the western, southwest to southeast Yunnan. Very primitive species, such as Manglietia hookeri, M. insignis and M. megaphylla, M. grandis, also occur in this region. They are distributed from Yunnan eastwards to Zhejiang and Fujian through central China, south China, with only one species (Manglietia microtricha) of the genus westwards to Xizang. There are several species distributing southwards from northeast India to the Malay Archipelago (Fig. 7). The members of Magnolia are evergreen and deciduous trees or shrubs, with flowers terminal, anthers dehiscing introrsely or laterally, ovules 2 per carpel, stipule adnate to the petiole. The genus Magnolia is the most primitive in the subtribe Magnoliinae and is the largest genus of the family Magnoliaceae. Its deciduous species are distributed from Yunnan north-eastwards to Korea and Japan (Kurile N. 46’) through CentralChina, North China and westwards to Burma, the eastern Himalayas and northeastIndia. The evergreen species are distributed from northeast Yunnan (China) to theMalay Archipelago. In China there are 23 species, of which 15 seem to be very primitive, e.g. Magnolia henryi, M. delavayi, M. officinalis and M. rostrata, which occur inGuangxi, Guangdong and Yunnan. The members of Michelia are evergreen trees or shrubs, with flowers axillary, anthers dehiscing laterally or sublaterally, gynoecium stipitate, carpels numerous or few.Michelia is considered to be the most primitive in the subtribe Micheliinae, and is tothe second largest genus of the family. About 23 out of a total of 50 species of thisgenus are very primitive, e.g. Michelia sphaerantha, M. lacei, M. champaca, and M.flavidiflora, which occur in Guangdong, Guangxi and Yunnan (the distributional centerof the family under discussion) and extend eastwards to Taiwan of China, southernJapan through central China, southwards to the Malay Archipelago through Indo-China.westwards to Xizang of China, and south-westwards to India and Sri Lanka (Fig. 7). The members of Magnoliaceae are concentrated in Guangxi, Guangdong and Yunnanand radiate from there. The farther away from the centre, the less members we areable to find, but the more advanced they are in morphology. In this old geographicalcentre there are more primitive species, more endemics and more monotypic genera.Thus it is reasonable to assume that the region of Guangxi, Guangdong and Yunnan,China, is not only the centre of recent distribution, but also the chief survival centreof Magnoliaceae in the world.  相似文献

Since the introduction of ribonucleic acid gene restriction patterns as taxonomic tools in 1986, ribotyping has become an established method for systematics, epidemiological, ecological and population studies of microorganisms. In the last 25 years, several modifications have improved the convenience, reproducibility and turn-around time of this technique. The technological development culminated in the automation of ribotyping which allowed for high-throughput applications e.g. in the quality control of food production, pharmaceutical industry and culture collections. The capability of the fully automated RiboPrinter® System for the differentiation of bacteria below the species level is compared with the discriminatory power of traditional ribotyping, of molecular fingerprint techniques like PFGE, MLST and MLVA as well as of MALDI-TOF mass spectrometry. While automated RiboPrinting is advantageous with respect to standardization, ease and speed, PCR ribotyping has proved being a highly discriminatory, flexible, robust and cost-efficient routine technique which makes inter-laboratory comparison and build of ribotype databases possible, too.  相似文献

本文采用系统聚类分析方法对中国黄杨属植物20种、3亚种和2变种进行了分类学研究,研究结果表明:营养器官的32个特征性状、繁殖器官的35个特征性状和总的67个特征性状的系统聚类结果与该属植物形态分类结果相吻合,从而为该属植物新分类群的建立,种、亚种和变种的鉴定以及某些划分不合理的种群纠正提供了一种新的科学依据和手段。  相似文献

Rounding a corner of a bent termite tunnel and tunnel traffic efficiency   总被引:1,自引:1,他引:1  
Subterranean termites construct underground tunnels, tens to hundreds of feet, to reach feeding sites and to transport food items to their nest. To ensure a high rate food return to the nest, an optimized tunnel should be constructed. We found that termites (Coptotermes formosanus Shiraki) fill the corner of a bent tunnel with soil particles excavated from tunnel tip where their digging behavior is activated. The corner-filling behavior, eventually, made a sharp corner smooth-rounded. In the present study, we showed that the corner-filling behavior could play an important role in improving the tunnel traffic efficiency. To do this, we compared the termites' time spent for passing corners between with a right-angled flat tip (RA-corner), corresponding to the sharp corner, and with a rounded tip (R-corner) corresponding to the smooth-rounded corner. As a result, the passing time in the R-corner was significantly shorter than in the RA-corner. In addition, tunnel width effect was discussed in terms of individual movement.  相似文献

Amino acid transport in mammalian plasma membranes is mediated by a multiplicity of amino acid transport systems. Some of them (systems L, y+L, xc- and bo,+) are the result of the activity of heteromeric amino acid transporters (HAT) (i.e. transport activity is elicited by the coexpression of a heavy and a light subunit). The two heavy subunits known today (HSHAT: rBAT and 4F2hc) were identified in 1992, and light subunits (LSHAT: LAT-1, LAT-2, asc-1, y+LAT-1, y+LAT-2, xCT and bo,+AT) have been cloned in the last 2 years. Defects in two genes of this family (SLC3A1, encoding rBAT and SLC7A9, encoding bo,+AT) are responsible for cystinuria, an inherited aminoaciduria of cystine and dibasic amino acids. This finding and functional studies of rBAT and bo,+AT suggested that these two proteins encompassed the high-affinity renal reabsorption system of cystine. In contrast to this view, immunofluorescence studies showed that rBAT is most abundant in the proximal straight tubule, and bo,+AT is most abundant in the proximal convoluted tubule of the nephron. The need for a newlight subunit for rBAT and a heavy subunit for bo,+AT is discussed.  相似文献

Aristolochia Subgen. Pararistolochia ( Hutch. & Dalz. ) O. C.Schmidt, a smallest one among so far known three subgenera in the genus, oftentreated as a separate genus, is composed of only nine species from TropicalAfrica (8 species)and Tropical Asia ( l species). This work deals mainly with thesystem and taxonomic treatment as well as distribution based on the herbariummaterials form British Museum (Natural History) (BM), National Botanical Garden of Belgium(BR), Royal Botanic Gardens of Kew(K) and Laboratoire dePhanerogamie of Paris(P). Three sections in the subgenus are described as newby the number of anthers and its arrangement. Also two names, Pararistolochiazenkeri (Engl.) Hutch. & Dalz. and P. macrocarpa (Duch.) Poncy var.soyauxiana(Oliv. )Poncy, are reduced to synonyms of A. macrocarpa Duch.; andone name, A. preussii Engl., is reduced to a synonym of A. promissa Mast.  相似文献

<正> 钟补求教授于1936年根据采自安徽黄山的模式标本而发表小果青钱柳Pterocarya mi-cropaliurus Tsoong新种时指出,该种与青钱柳的主要区别在于:(1)果实(包括果翅)较小,直径不超过2.5匣米,而在青钱柳则为3—7匣米;(2)果序较短,长约为青钱柳之半;(3)小叶数目较多,通常9—11枚,且较青钱柳为狭小;(4)小叶的锯齿较密较尖,最大的小叶通常每边有60个以上的锯齿,而在青钱柳则通常不到40个。但根据《中国植物志》第二十一卷(以下简称《植物志》),小果青钱柳应为青钱柳Cyclocarya paliurus(Batal.)Iljinsk.的异名。该《植物志》写道:“本种的小叶大小及数目、果翅的形状及大小变异极大,某些极端类型看来好象可以划分成各别的种,但都存在有中间类型,并且也无一定的地理分布限定,因此它必然是一个自然的种”。为此,我们对有关的腊叶材料进行了  相似文献

Subterranean termites move from place to place while foraging by tunneling through soil. During a period of foraging, they are likely to encounter a number of pre-formed tunnels created by, for example, tree roots or the breaking up of a zone of hard or compacted soil. We systematically observed the behavioral response of tunneling termites to such pre-formed, artificially constructed tunnels at widths, W, of 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, and 2.0mm, which mimicked pre-formed tunnels in the field. The two tunnels intersected at an angle, theta (=0 degrees , 10 degrees , 20 degrees , 30 degrees , 40 degrees , 50 degrees , and 60 degrees ) formed between the advance direction of a termite tunnel and the perpendicular direction of a pre-formed tunnel. Thirty-three termite species have been recorded from the Arabian peninsula (from Saudi Arabia, North and South Yemen, Oman, Bahrain, Abu Dhabi, Qatar and Kuwait). The fauna is predominantly Afro-tropical (Ethiopian) but with a major Palaearctic (Eremic) element. The greatest diversity occurs in the south-west where mountainous regions provide greater habitat diversity than elsewhere. The Afro-tropical influence decreases towards the north and east, the Palaearctic influence increasing correspondingly; the Oriental influence is negligible and the level of endemism is high.  相似文献

Subterranean termites forage from place to place by tunneling through soil. In order to examine termite-tunneling responses to external factors, we designed a square arena that contains five introduction chambers connected with narrow paths, which was filled with sand. Triangle-shaped indentation with width W and height H was provided as surface irregularity on the sand facing the introduction chambers by using templates. After termites were introduced into the chambers, we measured elapsed time, τ, for a tunnel to reach the point at 3 mm away from the apex of the irregularity. We found that for W = 0 mm (the absence of irregularity), termites (Coptotermes formosanus Shiraki) did not tunnel for 7 h, whereas, for W = 1, 2, 3, and 4 mm, they exhibited the tunneling behavior within 20 min. The result indicated that the presence of surface irregularity is essential to induce termite tunneling. In addition, we found that W was correlated with τ, whereas H did not influence τ. This was briefly discussed in the context of individual movement behavior.  相似文献
