This study was conducted to evaluate the chemical composition of asafoetida (Ferula assa-foetida) essential oil (FAEO) and Shirazi thyme (Zataria multiflora) EO (ZMEO) and their impact on vase life of gerbera cut flowers (Gerbera jamesonii cv. Rosalyn). Five concentrations of both, ZMEO and FAEO including 0, 100, 200, 300 and 400 mg L?1 used as continuous vase solution for gerbera cut flowers. EOs used in this study were extracted by hydrodistillation method using Clevenger apparatus. They were analyzed by GC and GC–MS for determination of the active compounds. Thirty five compounds were identified in ZMEO, mainly including thymol (40.1%), p-cymene (15.5%) and carvacrol (6.5%). Also, thirty compounds were identified in FAEO. The main components were trans propenyl sec-butyl disulfide (21.7%), eudesmol (10-epu-γ) (19.2%) and cis propenyl sec-butyl disulfide (10.2%). The results showed that both ZMEO and FAEO at all concentrations could act as an effective antibacterial compounds and this property increased by increasing their concentration. The results of this research showed that ZMEO increased the vase life at all concentrations but high concentrations of FAEO increased mortality percentage and reduced the vase life of cut flowers. The relative fresh weight and vase solution uptake of gerbera cut flowers increased by the applied EOs treatments. ZMEO at 400 mg L? 1 and FAEO at 300 and 400 mg L? 1 resulted the least stem color change. Overall, 200 mg L? 1 ZMEO and 100 mg L? 1 FAEO were the best treatments for maintenance of gerbera cut flowers quality during vase life.  相似文献

BACKGROUND: The effectiveness of induction chemotherapy (IC) followed by concurrent chemoradiotherapy (CCRT) over CCRT alone in patients with locoregionally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) and chronic hepatitis B infection in the intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT) era is unknown. PATIENTS AND METHODS: A total of 249 patients with stage T1-2 N2-3 or T3-4 N1-3 NPC and chronic hepatitis B infection treated with IMRT were retrospectively reviewed. Propensity score matching (PSM) was employed to balance covariates; 140 patients were propensity-matched (1:1 basis). Survival outcomes in the IC + CCRT and CCRT groups were compared using the Kaplan–Meier method, log-rank test and Cox proportional hazards model. RESULTS: No significant survival differences were observed between IC + CCRT and CCRT (5-year overall survival, 88.3% vs. 82.2%; P = .484; disease-free survival, 73.9% vs. 75.2%; P = .643; distant metastasis-free survival, 84.1% vs. 85.1%; P = .781; and locoregional failure-free survival, 87.9% vs. 85.1%; P = .834). After adjusting for known prognostic factors in multivariate analysis, IC was not an independent prognostic factor for any outcome (all P > .05); subgroup analysis based on T category (T1-2/T3-4), N category (N0-1/N2-3), and overall stage (III/IV) confirmed these results. The incidence of hepatic function damage in the IC + CCRT and CCRT groups was not significantly different. CONCLUSION: IC + CCRT leads to comparable survival outcomes and hepatic function damage compared to CCRT alone in patients with locoregionally advanced NPC with chronic hepatitis B infection in the IMRT era. The aim of this study was to analyze the effectiveness of different control agents of Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus associated with ovitraps under laboratory and field conditions. Five treatments were used: grass infusion + Bacillus thuringiensis israelensis (gI + Bti), grass infusion + Saccharopolyspora spinosa (gI + Ss), grass infusion + Pyriproxyfen (gI + P), distilled water + Toxorhynchites haemorrhoidalis (dW + Th), and grass infusion (gI) (control). The highest mean number of eggs of both species were obtained with grass infusion in the laboratory. Among control agents, the lowest mean of A. aegypti eggs occurred with gI + Ss and the lowest mean of A. albopictus eggs occurred with dW + Th. There was no difference between treatments in A. aegypti (P = 0.4320) and A. albopictus (P = 0.7179). In the field, the highest mean number of eggs for both species were obtained with gI + Ss, and the lowest values were obtained with gI + P (P = 0.0124). The treatments can be applied to both the surveillance and the control, but ovitraps with biological larvicide Bti were more effective and safer considering the number of eggs laid and selectivity of pathogens for mosquitoes.  相似文献

Introduction

Endotoxins, in the form of lipopolysaccharides (LPS), are potent inducers of biliary injury. However the mechanism by which injury develops remains unclear. We hypothesized that hepatic macrophages are pivotal in the development of endotoxin-induced biliary injury and that no injury would occur in their absence.

Material and methods

Clodronate liposomes were used to deplete macrophages from the liver. Forty-eight rats were equally divided across six study groups: sham operation (sham), liposome treatment and sham operation (liposomes + sham), 1 mg/kg LPS i.p. (LPS), liposome treatment and LPS administration (liposomes + LPS), hepatic ischaemia-reperfusion injury with LPS administration (IRI + LPS) and liposome treatment followed by IRI + LPS (liposomes + IRI + LPS). Following 6 h of reperfusion, blood, bile, and liver tissue was collected for further analysis. Small bile duct injury was assessed, serum liver tests were performed and bile composition was evaluated. The permeability of the blood-biliary barrier (BBB) was assessed using intravenously administered horseradish peroxidase (HRP).

Results

The presence of hepatic macrophages was reduced by 90% in LPS and IRI + LPS groups pre-treated with clodronate liposomes (P < 0.001). Severe small bile duct injury was not affected by macrophage depletion, and persisted in the liposomes + IRI + LPS group (50% of animals) and liposomes + LPS group (75% of animals). Likewise, BBB impairment persisted following macrophage depletion. LPS-induced elevation of the chemokine Mcp-1 in bile was not affected by macrophage depletion.

Conclusions

Depletion of hepatic macrophages did not prevent development of biliary injury following LPS or LPS-enhanced IRI. Cholangiocyte activation rather than macrophage activation may underlie this injury. Aiming at future comparisons with earlier hunter-gatherers or transitional populations, this paper intends to characterize and describe the oral pathology pattern of late agriculturalists from Central Andes dating to the Late Intermediate Period (LIP) and Inca periods (1000–1532 CE), and identify differences and/or similarities between coastal and highland populations. Although the botanical inventories of the LIP suggest carbohydrate-rich diets and similar components, it has been hypothesized that coastal and highland populations had, nevertheless, substantially different oral pathology patterns. We evaluated 14 indicators of oral pathology from Los Pinos (n = 200) and Armatambo (n = 25) sites in the Central Coast and two chronological phases from Laguna de los Cóndores site (LC-Inca, n = 23; and LC-LIP, n = 55), in the Peruvian northern highlands. The results showed a recurrent pattern of oral pathologies characterized by cervical caries (above 30%), extra-occlusal caries (above 60%), high rates of gross-gross caries, high frequency of ante mortem tooth loss, and signals of periodontal disease among these four populations. The diets of the coast were slightly more abrasive than those of the highlands. Oral pathology patterns were compatible with a slightly more cariogenic diet in the coast than in the highlands. In all four populations, those patterns were modulated by other common factors such as consumption of fermented drinks (maize beer – chicha) and the coca leaf chewing habit.  相似文献

Considering the potentiality of honey in combating diseases, the present study was carried out aiming to assess the in vitro antiprotozoal activity of several honeys (Ziziphus spina-christi, Acacia nilotica, Acacia seyal, and Cucurbita maxima) against Entamoeba histolytica and Giardia lamblia by employing the sub-culture method. All the tested honeys inhibited the growth of trophozoites, and the level of inhibition varied according to the assayed concentrations and incubation times. Acacia seyal honey had completely stopped motility of E. histolytica trophozoites at a concentration  50 µg/ml after incubation for 72 h. Ziziphus spina-christi, Acacia seyal, and Acacia nilotica honeys had completely inhibited the growth of Giardia lamblia trophozoites at concentration  200 µg/ml after 72 h. These inhibitory activities were similar to that of Metronidazole? which showed IC50 = 0.27. The mammalian cytotoxicity of these honeys against normal Vero cell line which determined by applying MTT method verified the nontoxicity of the examined honeys. Also the proximate composition of the samples indicated compliance with the natural honey standards. The findings of the study indicate the need for in vivo studies and further investigations to identify active principles with antiprotozoal activities from natural honeys.  相似文献

Fungal polysaccharides are well-known for the medicinal properties such as antitumor and immunomodulating effects. Hence, this study evaluated antitumor effects of polysaccharide extracted from Fusarium sp. isolated from soil samples of Karaj district, Alborz, Iran along with its taxonomic study. The filamentous fungus strain FK1 was isolated from the soil sample of Karaj, Iran. The strain was identified based on cultural, morphological and 18 S rRNA gene parameters as Fusarium. Further, the strain Fusarium was cultured in fermented broth of modified (PDB) for 10  days at 25 °C. The polysaccharide of strain FK1 was extracted from the mycelium free supernatant by boiling water method and evaluated for antitoxicity effect on two human cancer cell lines: HeLa cell line and Lymphoblastoid cell line (LCL) by MTT method. Findings revealed that water-extracted from mycelia polysaccharide of strain FK1 had the highest cytotoxicity effect against LCL which is the cause of B lymphocyte cancer, at 50  μg/ml concentration dose (114 ± 1.63) followed by 100  μg/ml (105 ± 0.57) and 10  μg/ml (104 ± 0.57), while it did not have a considerable effect on HeLa cell line. Fusarium could be alternative sources as an antitumor component.  相似文献

The Golgi ion homeostasis is tightly regulated to ensure essential cellular processes such as glycosylation, yet our understanding of this regulation remains incomplete. Gdt1p is a member of the conserved Uncharacterized Protein Family (UPF0016). Our previous work suggested that Gdt1p may function in the Golgi by regulating Golgi Ca2 +/Mn2 + homeostasis. NMR structural analysis of the polymannan chains isolated from yeasts showed that the gdt1Δ mutant cultured in presence of high Ca2 + concentration, as well as the pmr1Δ and gdt1Δ/pmr1Δ strains presented strong late Golgi glycosylation defects with a lack of α-1,2 mannoses substitution and α-1,3 mannoses termination. The addition of Mn2 + confirmed the rescue of these defects. Interestingly, our structural data confirmed that the glycosylation defect in pmr1Δ could also completely be suppressed by the addition of Ca2 +. The use of Pmr1p mutants either defective for Ca2 + or Mn2 + transport or both revealed that the suppression of the observed glycosylation defect in pmr1Δ strains by the intraluminal Golgi Ca2 + requires the activity of Gdt1p. These data support the hypothesis that Gdt1p, in order to sustain the Golgi glycosylation process, imports Mn2 + inside the Golgi lumen when Pmr1p exclusively transports Ca2 +. Our results also reinforce the functional link between Gdt1p and Pmr1p as we highlighted that Gdt1p was a Mn2 + sensitive protein whose abundance was directly dependent on the nature of the ion transported by Pmr1p. Finally, this study demonstrated that the aspartic residues of the two conserved motifs E-x-G-D-[KR], likely constituting the cation binding sites of Gdt1p, play a crucial role in Golgi glycosylation and hence in Mn2 +/Ca2 + transport.  相似文献

The interactions of Penicillium italicum, which causes blue mould, and antagonistic yeast Pichia guilliermondii strain Z1 were examined in controlled environments, to determine the influence of relative humidity (RH) (45%, 75%, 85%, 98%, and 100%) and temperature (T) (5, 10, 15, 20, and 25 °C). All main effects and interactions were significant (P ? 0.05), with the exception of interactions RH×T and strain Z1 (BCA)×RH×T. In the pathogen control, the lesion diameter of blue mould developed under all environmental conditions but was the largest at a RH range between 98% and 100%, independent of the temperature. The efficacy of strain Z1 appeared to be independent of the environment and reduced disease incidence by more than 85% in all environmental conditions. Rapid colonization of the antagonistic yeast strain Z1 on citrus wounded sites was recorded during the first week at 5 °C. Colonization then stabilized at ±6.9 × 106 CFU/ml for 30 days. This indicates that P. guilliermondii is able to adapt itself and colonize the wound sites prior to the arrival of the pathogen, displaying greater efficiency than when colonizing wounds after pathogen. The antagonist was capable of growing in low concentrations of orange juice (0.1–5%), with greatest growth at 5%. Applying strain Z1 (1 × 108 CFU/ml) as a formulated product significantly reduced the incidence of infected fruits and the percentage of infected wounds relative to the pathogen control. Disease control with formulated product (45%) was slightly lower than that obtained with thiabendazole (20%) or strain Z1 culturable cells (25%). These results suggest that strain Z1 may be a useful BCA for control of blue mould under varying environmental conditions, and control may be enhanced by combining with other eco-friendly post-harvest treatments or improved formulation.  相似文献

Doxorubicin (DOX) is a chemotherapeutic agent used for treatment of different cancers and its clinical usage is hindered by the oxidative injury-related cardiotoxicity. This work aims to declare if the harmful effects of DOX on heart can be alleviated with the use of Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10) or L-carnitine. The study was performed on seventy two female Wistar albino rats divided into six groups, 12 animals each: Control group; DOX group (10 mg/kg); CoQ10 group (200 mg/kg); L-carnitine group (100 mg/kg); DOX + CoQ10 group; DOX + L-carnitine group. CoQ10 and L-carnitine treatment orally started 5 days before a single dose of 10 mg/kg DOX that injected intraperitoneally (IP) then the treatment continued for 10 days. At the end of the study, serum biochemical parameters of cardiac damage, oxidative stress indices, and histopathological changes were investigated. CoQ10 or L-carnitine showed a noticeable effects in improving cardiac functions evidenced reducing serum enzymes as serum interleukin-1 beta (IL-1 β), tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α), leptin, lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), Cardiotrophin-1, Troponin-I and Troponin-T. Also, alleviate oxidative stress, decrease of cardiac Malondialdehyde (MDA), Nitric oxide (NO) and restoring cardiac reduced glutathione levels to normal levels. Both corrected the cardiac alterations histologically and ultrastructurally. With a visible improvements in α-SMA, vimentin and eNOS immunohistochemical markers. CoQ10 or L-carnitine supplementation improves the functional and structural integrity of the myocardium.  相似文献

Cardiac dysfunction with progressive inflammation and fibrosis is a hallmark of Chagas disease caused by persistent Trypanosoma cruzi infection. Osteopontin (OPN) is a pro-inflammatory cytokine that orchestrates mechanisms controlling cell recruitment and cardiac architecture. Our main goal was to study the role of endogenous OPN as a modulator of myocardial CCL5 chemokine and MMP-2 metalloproteinase, and its pathological impact in a murine model of Chagas heart disease. Wild-type (WT) and OPN-deficient (spp1 ?/?) mice were parasite-infected (Brazil strain) for 100 days. Both groups developed chronic myocarditis with similar parasite burden and survival rates. However, spp1 ?/? infection showed lower heart-to-body ratio (P < 0.01) as well as reduced inflammatory pathology (P < 0.05), CCL5 expression (P < 0.05), myocyte size (P < 0.05) and fibrosis (P < 0.01) in cardiac tissues. Intense OPN labeling was observed in inflammatory cells recruited to infected heart (P < 0.05). Plasma concentration of MMP-2 was higher (P < 0.05) in infected WT than in spp1 ?/? mice. Coincidently, specific immunostaining revealed increased gelatinase expression (P < 0.01) and activity (P < 0.05) in the inflamed hearts from T. cruzi WT mice, but not in their spp1 ?/? littermates. CCL5 and MMP-2 induction occurred preferentially (P < 0.01) in WT heart-invading CD8+ T cells and was mediated via phospho-JNK MAPK signaling. Heart levels of OPN, CCL5 and MMP-2 correlated (P < 0.01) with collagen accumulation in the infected WT group only. Endogenous OPN emerges as a key player in the pathogenesis of chronic Chagas heart disease, through the upregulation of myocardial CCL5/MMP-2 expression and activities resulting in pro-inflammatory and pro-hypertrophic events, cardiac remodeling and interstitial fibrosis.  相似文献

A series of novel pyrazole oxime derivatives containing a substituted oxadiazole group were designed and synthesized. The bioassay results indicated that some title compounds displayed good acaricidal and insecticidal activities against Tetranychus cinnabarinus, Aphis medicaginis, Oriental armyworm, and Nilaparvata lugens. Especially, compounds 7a, 7b, and 7c had 80%, 90%, and 90% insecticidal activities against A. medicaginis at 20 μg/mL, respectively. Interestingly, some of the designed compounds displayed wonderful fungicidal activities in vivo against cucumber Pseudoperonospora cubensis. Furthermore, compounds 7a (EC50 = 4.97 μg/mL) and 7h (EC50 = 0.51 μg/mL) showed excellent fungicidal activity against P. cubensis comparable or better than that of the control Pyraclostrobin (EC50 = 4.59 μg/mL).  相似文献

The effect of noncatalytic domains 2 + 3 on the intrinsic activity and thermostability of the EF-Tu GTPase center was evaluated in experiments with isolated domains 1 and six chimeric variants of mesophilic Escherichia coli (Ec) and thermophilic Bacillus stearothermophilus (Bst) EF-Tus. The isolated catalytic domains 1 of both EF-Tus displayed similar GTPase activities at their optimal temperatures. However, noncatalytic domains 2 + 3 of the EF-Tus influenced the GTPase activity of domains 1 differently, depending on the domain origin. Ecdomains 2 + 3 suppressed the GTPase activity of the Ecdomain 1, whereas those of BstEF-Tu stimulated the Bstdomain 1 GTPase. Domain 1 and domains 2 + 3 of both EF-Tus positively cooperated to heat-stabilize their GTPase centers to attain optimal activity at a temperature close to the optimal growth temperature of either organism. This can be explained by a stabilization effect of domains 2 + 3 on α-helical regions of the G-domain as revealed by CD spectroscopy.  相似文献

A new strain of Manila clam with orange shell color was produced after selection within a full-sib family for two generations. In the present study, the shell length, height, and width, and the live body weight of the orange strain were measured, and their correlation coefficients were calculated. The shell morphological traits were used as independent variables, and the live body weight was used as the dependent variable for calculating the path coefficients, correlation index, and determination coefficients. The results showed that the correlation coefficients between each shell morphological trait and the live body weight were all highly significant (P < 0.01). The correlation indices (R2) of morphological traits against the live body weight of clams were larger than 0.85, indicating that the morphology traits were the main factors affecting the body weight. Multiple regression equations were obtained to estimate shell length X1 (cm), shell height X2 (cm), and shell width X3 (cm) against live body weight Y (g): Y = ? 2.62 + 0.34 X1 + 0.145 X2, (X1 < 0.05, X2 < 0.05). The results suggest that the shell length could be used as the main trait for selective breeding and could indirectly make a large improvement in the weight trait.  相似文献

This study reported that Babesia bigemina (Bbig-SF) was continuously cultured in vitro in a serum-free medium supplemented with a mixture of insulin-transferrin-selenite (M-ITS) and putrescine (Pu). Firstly, the effect of five different types of basal culture media supplemented with 40% bovine serum was evaluated regarding the proliferation of the protozoan parasite. Cultures with the advanced DMEM/F12 medium (A-DMEM/F12) showed the highest percentage of parasitized erythrocytes (PPE) at 8.37%. Using A-DMEM/F12, a strain of B. bigemina (Bbig-SF) was adapted for growth in bovine serum-free medium by a sequential reduction of serum and demonstrated a maximum PPE of 7.18% in the absence of serum. The next study was the evaluation of the effect of adding four different concentrations of M-ITS to the serum-free A-DMEM/F12 medium on Bbig-SF; the optimal concentrations of M-ITS were 2000, 1100, and 1.34 mg/L, which yielded a PPE of 7.23%. Next, eight levels of Pu were evaluated on Bbig-SF cultured in serum-free A-DMEM/F12. After the addition of 0.1012 mg/L of Pu, the maximum PPE was 7.61%. When the combination of serum-free A-DMEM/F12 + M-ITS (2000, 1100, and 1.34 mg/L) + Pu (0.1012 mg/L) was evaluated, it yielded a maximum PPE of 14.80%. Finally, the combination of M-ITS + Pu in A-DMEM/F12 without serum and incorporation of a perfusion bioreactor yielded a maximum PPE of 33.45%. We concluded these culturing innovations for B. bigemina in vitro allow the optimization of small- and large-scale proliferation as a source of this protozoan parasite for future studies.  相似文献

This study investigated the concentration of decorin (DCN) in mature follicular fluid and the existence in the granulosa cells. It also investigated whether DCN is useful as a biomarker for outcomes of assisted reproductive technology (ART). A retrospective cohort study was performed involving 130 oocytes of 88 patients treated with ART because of unexplained infertility. The concentration of DCN in the follicular fluid (F-DCN) was 39.26 ng/ml (median value); it was higher than that in serum. F-DCN of the oocytes fertilized by intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) was significantly lower than that of oocytes that were not fertilized (33.24 ng/ml vs 40.18 ng/ml; P = 0.043). When a cut-off level of 34.5 ng/ml was set according to the receiver-operating characteristic curve, the fertilization rate of the oocytes from the follicles in which F-DCN was lower than the cut-off level tended to be good compared to that of the oocytes with F-DCN higher than the cut-off level (P = 0.052). DCN is less likely to be produced by the granulosa cells (GCs), because it was not detected in GCs by immunostaining and Western blot analysis. F-DCN has a possibility to be a biomarker indicating the quality of oocytes collected from the corresponding follicle.  相似文献

Feverfew (Tanacetum parthenium) (TP) is a valuable medicinal plant from Asteraceae family with various pharmaceutical and therapeutic properties. A pot experiment was conducted to evaluate the effect of salicylic acid (SA) on the physiological and morphological responses of TP under salinity stress. Salinity was induced by NaCl and CaCl2 (2:1) at 30, 60, 90, 120, 150 and 180 mM levels. SA was applied as foliar application at 0, 200 and 300 ppm concentrations. Plant height, leaf and shoot number, fresh and dry weight and essential oil, starch, sugar, protein, proline, catalase (CAT), peroxidase (POD), and ascorbic peroxidase (APX) contents were as measured morpho-physiological traits. The results showed that SA significantly (P  0.05) improved the measured traits and caused higher tolerance in TP plants under salinity stress. The essential oil content increased with increasing the salinity level up to 90 mM, which was more significant when combined with SA application. All of the measured traits except proline content, antioxidant enzymes, essential oil and sugar decreased at high salinity levels.  相似文献

Cystic echinococcosis (CE) is a public health problem in countries having such endemic areas. Epidemiological studies of CE, especially pediatric, are rare. The aim of this study was to evaluate epidemiological and clinical characteristics of CE in children in Serbia. Data were obtained retrospectively from the case records of patients under the age of 18 years admitted for surgical treatment of CE at two large pediatric medical institutions in the period 1990–2006. Patients' age, number of cysts and their anatomic location were evaluated in relation to differences by patients' gender and socio-geographic status (urban or rural origin). The study included 149 children with 272 hydatid cysts. The mean age of patients was 10.1 ± 3.8 years. There were no significant differences in the number of patients in relation to gender and urban:rural origin. There were no significant differences in patients' age at the time of surgery or the number of cysts per patient when patients’ gender or socio-geographic status was evaluated. The anatomic location of cysts was as follows: liver (N = 165; 60.7%), lungs (N = 82; 30.1%), and other locations (N = 25; 9.2%). Multiple cysts, and combined liver/lung involvement were identified in 34.2% (N = 51), and 6.0% (N = 9) of patients, respectively. Hepatic cysts were significantly more common in girls than in boys. There were no significant differences in anatomic location of cysts between socio-geographic groups. The large number of infected children during a long period of investigation indicates an active transmission of disease and a lack of program for control and prevention of CE in Serbia.  相似文献

Described as a Btk inhibitor, ibrutinib also potently inhibits Bmx and EGFR, two good targets for lung cancer. Owing to its high CLogP (4.07) and low aqueous solubility (<0.01 mg/ml), resulting in unfavorable bioavailability, ibrutinib requires high dosages to achieve good clinical response in the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). In our effort to improve the CLogP of ibrutinib by structural optimization led to the discovery of a potent anti-cancer agent B6, with beneficial physicochemical parameters (CLogP = 2.56, solubility in water  0.1 mg/ml) meeting the principles of oral drugs. B6 exhibited anti-proliferation activities against EGFR-expressing cells, especially the mutant ones, such as H1975 (L858R/T790M, IC50 = 0.92 ± 0.19 μM) and HCC827 (Del119 IC50 = 0.014 ± 0.01 μM). Moreover, B6 significantly slowed down H1975 tumor growth with anti-tumor rate of 73.9% (p < 0.01). Enzyme potencies assay demonstrated B6 moderately selectively inhibited Bmx (IC50 = 35.7 ± 0.1 nM) over other kinases. So, as a potent Bmx inhibitor, B6 has the potential to be an efficacious treatment for NSCLC with acquired drug resistance.  相似文献

The biological activities of the ethanol extract from Cirsium japonicum var. maackii (ICF-1) and its major component, polyphenol cirsimaritin, were investigated as part of the search for possible alternative drugs for breast cancer. Three in vitro cell-based assays were used: the cell proliferation assay, tube-formation assay, and Western blot analysis. Both the ICF-1 extract and cirsimaritin inhibited the viability of HUVECs in a dose-dependent manner. The inhibition achieved was 36.89% at a level of 200 μg/ml by the ICF-1 extract and 62.04% at a level of 100 μM by cirsimaritin. The ICF-1 extract and cirsimaritin reduced tube formation by 12.69% at level of 25 μg/ml and 32.18% at the levels of 6.25 μM, respectively. Cirsimaritin inhibited angiogenesis by downregulation of VEGF, p-Akt and p-ERK in MDA-MB-231 cells, suggesting that cirsimaritin is potentially useful as an anti-metastatic agent. The present study demonstrated that Cirsium japonicum extract and its active component cirsimaritin is an excellent candidate as an alternative anti-breast cancer drug.  相似文献
