2002年度国家自然科学基金生命科学领域面上项目申请与资助情况

面上项目是国家自然科学基金资助格局中很重要的部分;因其资助项目数多,涉及面广,历来受广大科技工作者关注。下面就生命科学部今年受理与资助面上项目的情况作一简要介绍。 2002年度生命科学部共受理701个单位12　723项申请,其中面上项目11 966项。申请项目数超过200项的单位有16个,比去年增加了4个,共申请了4 530项,占学部总申请项目的35.60％。超过300项的单位有9个,申请了3 069项,占学部总申请项目的24.12％。因此,建议各申请单位严把申报质量关,申报真正有创新性的项目,以提高评审效率。另外,一个人申请两个项目的人数也较往年明显增加,有1169人共申请了2 378项,此情况已引起大家的普遍关注。     

Molecular medicine: Molecular diagnostics, preventive medicine, and gene therapy

New trends in molecular medicine that have emerged owing to the success of the national Human Genome program are characterized. The major attention is paid to molecular diagnostics, preventive medicine, and gene therapy. Preventive medicine is a product of synthesis of the current notions on genetics and biochemistry of human diseases; it comprises pharmacogenetics, presymptomatic diagnosis, and testing of genes of predisposition to the most frequent multifactor diseases. In the Gene Therapy section, advantages and drawbacks of the main methods of delivery of nucleic acids into the cells are considered; diseases that are attempted to be rectified using gene therapy are listed. Exemplified with Duchenne myodystrophy, the problems encountered in correction of a genetic defect with the aid of foreign genes are considered. Results are summarized for assessing the efficiency of various methods of introduction of dystrophin cDNA (gene gun, liposomes, microspheres, viral oligopeptides, and lactoferrin) conducted on the Duchenne myodystrophy model, mdx mice.     

我国预防医学研究面临的机遇与挑战

我国本科护理专业开设循证医学课程的现状

循证医学是二十一世纪医学实践的新模式,是指导临床医生和医学生进行科学医疗实践的一种工具,又是实现临床医生终生自我教育的一种好的方法。循证医学的理念和方法对护理专业的影响,必将促进护理向科学化护理迈进,而循证医学教育是促进护理人员掌握循证医学知识和技能的关键,本文重点论述了我国本科护理专业开设循证医学课程的现状以及存在的主要问题。     

The emergence of integrative medicine in Australia: the growing interest of biomedicine and nursing in complementary medicine in a southern developed society

In this article, I examine the process by which some biomedical physicians and nurses in Australia have come to adopt various alternative therapies in their regimens of practice, largely in response to (1) the growing interest on the part of many Australians in what is generally called "complementary medicine", and (2) a recognition that biomedicine is not particularly effective in treating an array of chronic ailments. Some Australian biomedical physicians and nurses have come to embrace "integrative medicine," which purports to blend the best of biomedicine and complementary medicine, and have even created an Australasian Integrative Medical Association and established integrative medical training programs and centers. I argue that the adoption of alternative therapies and the development of integrative medicine on the part of Australian biomedical physicians and nurses constitute another national manifestation of the co-option of complementary and alternative medicine.
