Eleven new genera and 17 species are described, with one exception parasites on echinoderms: Trochostilifer gen. n. with T. domus sp.n. (type species) (Philippines) on Stylocidaris efftuens, T. mortenseni sp.n. (New Caledonia) on Prionocidaris australis and T. slriatus (Hedley) on P. baculosa annulifera; Ophioarachnicola biformis gen. et sp.n. (Solomon Is.) on Ophio-arachna incrassata; Hemiliostraca sloani sp.n. (Aldabra I.) on Ophiomyxa australis; Robil-lardia solida sp.n. (Loyalty Is.), host unknown. Ersilia Monterosato is transferred from Lacunidae to Eulimidae, E. stancyki sp.n. (Florida) is a parasite of Ophiolepis elegans. Hyper-mastus echinodisci sp.n. and H. sauliae sp.n. (both Borneo) are parasitic on Echinodiscus bisperforatus; Monogamus parasaleniae sp.n. (Tonga I.) on Parasalenia gratiosa. Scalari-balcis gen.n. is erected for Mucronalia angulata Mandahl-Barth. Concavibalcis scalaris gen. et sp.n. is described from the Philippines, host unknown. Echiuroidicola cicatricosa gen. et sp.n. (Malaysia) is a parasite on the echiuroid Ochetostoma erythrogrammon. Peasistilifer gen.n. (type species Mucronalia nitidula Pease) is erected for a group of holothurian parasites. Prostilifer gen.n. is erected for Eulima subpellucida Pease, parasitic on Pacific holo-thurians. Paramegadenus scutellicola sp.n. (Pacific) is parasitic on Stellaster incei, P. incerta sp.n. on an Australian starfish. Asterolamia hians gen. et sp.n. is described from Astropecten indicus and A. cingulata from Craspidaster hesperus , both Pacific. Microstilifer gen.n. is erected for Stilifer auricula Hedley. Vitreobalcis gen.n. is erected for Apicalia holdsworthi H. Adams, a parasite of Mespilia globulus and V. laevis sp.n. (from Synaptula purpurea , Australia) is provisionally placed here. Luetzenia asthenosomae gen. et sp.n. (Australia) and L. toki Habe are both parasites on Asthenosoma.  相似文献

Twelve new species of Polycystididae Graff, 1905 are described from the Australian east coast. Nine of them could not be placed in any of the existing genera, and therefore six new genera are erected. Alchoides n. gen. differs from all other polycystidid genera by the presence of a bundle of glands that opens into the distal part of the male atrium (accessory vesicle type V). Two species are included in the genus, A. alchoides n. sp. and A. dittmannae n. sp., which differ from each other in the shape of the stylet. Ametochus gehrkei n. gen n. sp. can be distinguished from other polycystidids by the presence of a prostate vesicle type III associated with a prostate stylet type III, combined with the presence of an accessory stylet type III, while a prostate stylet type II is lacking. Typical for Arrawarria inexpectata n. gen n. sp. is the combined presence of an armed cirrus with a prostate vesicle type II connected to a prostate stylet type II. Two species are assigned to the new genus Duplexostylus n. gen.: D. rowei n. sp. and D. winsori n. sp. These two species have two unique features: a prostate vesicle type IV directly connected to a prostate stylet type III and an asymmetrical septum that surrounds the proximal part of the male atrium. They can be distinguished from each other by differences in the detailed construction of their stylets. Two new species are placed in the new genus Stradorhynchus n. gen.: S. caecus n. sp. and S. terminalis n. sp. They have unpaired gonads and a prostate vesicle type IV connected to a prostate stylet type IV, which combination of characters makes them unique within the Polycystididae. The two species differ from each other in the shape and size of the stylet. Triaustrorhynchus armatus n. gen., n. sp. is the first species of the Polycystididae to have three types of stylet in the male atrium: a prostate stylet type II, a prostate stylet type III and an accessory stylet type III. Three new species could be placed in existing genera: Cincturorhynchus monaculeus n. sp., Paraustrorhynchus caligatus n. sp. and Polycystis australis n. sp. All three differ from their congeners in the form and dimensions of their stylets. All newly described species are discussed, giving their similarities and differences with resembling species. Austrorhynchus hawaiiensis Karling, 1977 is reported for the first time in Australia, and the Australian population is compared with populations from other regions. The presence of Gyratrix hermaphroditus Ehrenberg, 1831, one new species of Paulodora Marcus, 1948 and a new genus of Typhlopolycystidinae Evdonin, 1977 is mentioned.  相似文献

Abstract. The status of the tribe Antillocorini as it occurs in the Western Hemisphere is discussed. An evaluation of characters useful in systematic analysis is included together with an evaluation of the plesiomorphic and apomorphic character states. The phylogenetic relationships of the genera are discussed and a cladogram included. A key is given to all known genera found in the Western Hemisphere. The following new taxa are described: Paradema gen.n.; Paradema bathydemoides sp.n. (Venezuela), P.engiernani sp.n. (Panama), P.longisetosa sp.n. (Argentina), P.oculata sp.n. (Coiumbia, Guyane) (type-species), P.pameroides sp.n. (Brazil), Caeneusia obrienorum sp.n. (Peru), Antillodema gen.n. (to include Antillocoris obscurus Barber comb.n. (type-species) and Bathydema maculosa Slater and Baranowski comb.n.), Paurocoris gen.n., P.yvgodzinskyi sp.n. (type-species) (Ecuador, Brazil, Peru, Argentina, Venezuela), P.punctata (Distant) transferred to Paurocoris from Bathydema, Trachinocoris gen.n., T.crassus sp.n. Primorya gen.n. is described as a new genus of the flesh fly subfamily Paramacronychiinae, including the type species and sole member Primorya ussuriensis sp.n. from the Russian Far East. Arguments for erecting a new genus are obtained from a phylogenetic analysis of all paramacronychiine genera. Goniophyto suenagai (Kurahashi), comb.n. is transferred from Wohlfahrtiodes Villeneuve and included in a broadened concept of Goniophyto Townsend, and Agria cicadina (Kato) , comb.n. is transferred from Angiometopa Brauer & Bergenstamm. Four dorvilleid species new to science are described from intertidal and subtidal sandy sediments. For three of them new genera are erected: Coralliotrocha natans gen. et sp.n., Microdorvillea otagensis gen. et sp.n. and Pusillotrocha Åkessoni gen. et sp.n. One species represents the first record of the genus Pettiboneia from Australia, P. australiensis sp.n. Ophryotrocha minuta Levi, 1954 redescribed from Helgoland is transferred to a different genus, Arenotrocha gen.n. The present taxa belong to a morphological series of species with an increasing degree of neoteny in the family Dorvilleidae.  相似文献

Abstract
The tribe Heteronycini and 10 included genera (4 of them new) are defined. A key to genera and keys to species of Acheilo gen. n. and Webbella gen. n. are provided. The new genera are: Acheilo, Paraheteronyx, Proborhinus and Webbella. A. clypeatus gen. n., sp. n. is described.
The following species are transferred to other genera: Heteronyx bravicollis Blackburn, H. brevicoxis Lea, H. clypealis Lea, H. cribrifrons Lea, H. inconstans Lea, H. noctivagus Lea, H. phanophilus Lea, H. transversopolitus Lea and H. unidentatus Lea to Neoheteronyx Blackburn; H. unguiculatus Burmeister to Paraheteronyx gen. n.; H. cornutus Blackburn to Proborhinus gen. n.; H. capitalis Blackburn and H. pedarius Blackburn to Acheilo gen. n.; H. firmus Blackburn and H. labralis Blackburn to Webbella gen. n. Anacheirotus Blackburn is synonymised with Heteronyx Guérin-Méneville; A. inornatus Blackburn becomes H. inornatus (Blackburn). Pseudoheteronyx seticollis Lea is synonymised with P. creber Blackburn. Heteronyx clypealis Lea is synonymised with Neoheteronyx brevicollis (Blackburn). Lectotypes are designated for Heteronyx unguiculatus and Eurychelus marmoratus Blanchard.  相似文献

Furcadesha gen. n. (type-species: Furcadesha huddlestoni sp.n), Indadesha gen. n. (type-species: Indadesha achterbergi sp.n), both from India, and Africadesha gen.n. (type-species: Africadesha usherwoodi sp.n). from Cameroun, are described and illustrated. A key is provided to separate these new genera from one another and from the other genera of the Adeshini, Adesha Cameron and Adeshoides van Achterberg. Adesha acuta sp.n. from Malaya is described and separated from Adesha albolineata Cameron, the only other species of Adesha. Entodiniomorph ciliates, belonging to the family Cycloposthiidae, are described from the stomach contents of Hippopotamus amphibius. Monoposthium acanthum gen. n., sp. n., with typical cycloposthiid structure, differs from other genera in having only 1 caudalium. Parentodinium gen. n., represented by P. africanum sp. n. and P. ostrea sp. n., although superficially resembling Entodinium, is considered to be a relatively unspecialized cycloposthiid.  相似文献

Until now, only two Psychodoidea were known from Lebanese amber. We describe two new genera and species of Phlebotomidae ( Mesophlebotomites hennigi gen. et sp. nov., Libanophlebotomus lutfallahi gen. et sp. nov.) and four new genera with six new species of Psychodidae ( Paleopsychoda solignaci gen. et sp. nov., Paleopsychoda jacquelinae sp. nov., Protopsychoda nadiae gen. et sp. nov., Protopsychoda hammanaensis sp. nov., Libanopsychoda abillamai gen. et sp. nov., Cretapsychoda inexpectata gen. et sp. nov.) from the Lower Cretaceous amber of Hammana/Mdeirij, Lebanon. These fossils are included in a phylogenetic analysis of the subfamilies of Psychodoidea. This superfamily was probably as diverse in the Early Cretaceous as now.  相似文献

The Australian Thrasorinae are revised and Mikeius is transferred to Mikeiinae Paretas-Martínez & Pujade-Villar, subfam. n., and Mikeius clavatus Pujade-Villar & Restrepo-Ortiz, sp. n., is described. Two new genera of Thrasorinae are erected: Cicatrix Paretas-Martínez, gen. n., including Cicatrix pilosiscutum(Girault), comb. n. from Amblynotus, Cicatrix schauffi (Buffington), comb. n. from Mikeius, and Cicatrix neumannoides Paretas-Martínez & Restrepo-Ortiz, sp. n.; and Palmiriella Pujade-Villar & Paretas-Martínez, gen. n., including Palmiriella neumanni (Buffington), comb. n. from Mikeius, Thrasorus rieki Paretas-Martínez & Pujade-Villar, sp. n., is also described. A phylogenetic analysis of 176 morphological and biological characters, including all these new taxa and all genera previously included in Thrasorinae, was conducted. All subfamilies were recovered as monophyletic, with the following relationships: Parnipinae (Euceroptrinae (Mikeiinae (Plectocynipinae (Thrasorinae)))). A worldwide key to the subfamilies of Figitidae is provided that includes the new subfamily, as well as a key to genera Thrasorinae.  相似文献

Abstract Iconostigma gen.n., with included species tryphaenu sp.n. (typespecies) and morosa sp.n., is described from New Caledonia. A key to males of the world genera and a check-list of the world species of Chlidanotini are provided. The relationship of the Chlidanotini to the Polyorthini and Hilarographini is discussed, with particular reference to Iconostigma . It is suggested that the hair-pencils of the eighth abdominal segment, and the invaginations in the male valvae into which each hair-pencil is inserted, are apomorphic characters which unite these three tribes. Panegyru Diakonoff is transferred to the Tortricini and Polemograptis flavicostana (Walsingham) is transferred to Panegyra , comb.n. Fossilized, winged adults belonging to the psocopteran family Liposcelididae are reported in amber from the mid-Cretaceous (ca 100 Myr) of Myanmar (described as Cretoscelis burmitica, gen. et sp. n.) and the Miocene (ca 20 Myr) of the Dominican Republic (Belaphopsocus dominicus sp. n.). Cretoscelis is an extinct sister group to all other Liposcelididae and the family is the free-living sister group to the true lice (order Phthiraptera, all of which are ectoparasites of birds and mammals). A phylogenetic hypothesis of relationships among genera of Liposcelididae, including fossils, reveals perfect correspondence between the chronology of fossils and cladistic rank of taxa. Lice and Liposcelididae minimally diverged 100 Myr, perhaps even in the earliest Cretaceous 145 Myr or earlier, in which case the hosts of lice would have been early mammals, early birds and possibly other feathered theropod dinosaurs, as well as haired pterosaurs.  相似文献

Abstract. Until now the ant subfamily Leptanillinae has been closely linked with the army ant subfamilies Dorylinae and Ecitoninae, but on relatively tenuous evidence. The current phylogenetic study strongly indicates that this view is incorrect and that the leptanillines really constitute the sister-group of subfamily Ponerinae, and are at a consider- ably greater taxonomic distance from the Army Ant subfamilies. Three tribes are now recognized within the Leptanillinae (Leptanillini; Anomalornyrmini, new tribe; and Apomyrmini, transferred here from Ponerinae: Arnblyoponini), containing a total of eight genera with fewer than fifty species in all. The subfamily and its component tribes are diagnosed and discussed here, and a key to genera provided. New taxa described include Anomalomyrma Taylor gen.n., type-species A. taylori Bolton sp.n. and Protanilla Taylor gen.n., type-species P. rafflesi Taylor sp.n.  相似文献

Abstract  The Australian members of the circumtropical coccinellid tribe Sukunahikonini are revised and placed in three genera: Scymnomorphus Weise (five species), Pharellus Sicard (two species) and Paraphellus Chazeau (two species). Scymnus rostratus Lea, 1929 is transferred to Paraphellus as P. rostratus (Lea) comb. n. The following new species are described from Australia: Pharellus glabratus sp. n., P. popei sp. n.; Paraphellus magnopunctatus sp. n.; Scymnomorphus fulvus sp. n., S. hirtus sp. n., S. ker sp. n., S. luteus sp. n., S. storeyi sp. n. Helminths of the spiral intestine of neotropical freshwater stingrays (Potamotrygonidae) were examined in Peru for the first time. The stingrays examined for helminths included Paratrygon aiereba, Potamotrygon motoro, and Potamotrygon cf. castexi. Present in P. aiereba were the cestodes Nandocestus guariticus (Marques, Brooks, and Lasso, 2001) n. gen. n. comb., Rhinebothrium copianullum n. sp., Rhinebothrium sp. 1, Rhinebothroides sp., Potamotrygonocestus cf. fitzgeraldae, and 1 species each of Cucullanus and Rhabdochona. Nandocestus n. gen. is erected to house N. guariticus, which is formally transferred from Anindobothrium Marques, Brooks, and Lasso, 2001. The new genus is unique among phyllobothriids in its possession of circummedullary vitelline follicles and a submarginal genital pore, in combination with bothridia with a single apical sucker and marginal bothridial loculi. The helminths of P. motoro included the cestodes Paraoncomegas araya, Acanthobothrium peruviense n. sp., Acanthobothrium cf. ramiroi, Rhinebothrium sp. 1, Rhinebothroides sp. 1, Potamotrygonocestus sp., the nematode Brevimulticaecum regoi, a species of Cucullanus, and a species of the digenean superfamily Diplostomoidea. The helminths of P. cf. castexi included the cestodes P. araya, N. guariticus n. gen. n. comb., Acanthobothrium cf. peruviense, Potamotrygonocestus sp., Rhinebothrium sp. 1, Rhinebothroides sp. 2, the nematode species Echinocephalus daileyi and B. regoi, 1 species each of Cucullanus, Rhabdochona, and Procamallanus, and a species of the digenean superfamily Hemiuroidea. All taxa were examined via light microscopy; the cestode taxa were also examined using scanning electron microscopy. Each helminth species recorded in this study is a first report from Peru. The study suggests that the diversity and host specificity of the cestodes in potamotrygonid stingrays may be greater than previously thought. The known numbers of genera and species of tetraphyllidean cestodes parasitizing neotropical freshwater stingrays are now 6 and 22, respectively.  相似文献

The species of Stilifer (with 11 species, including S. inflatus sp.n. and 5. concavus sp.n.) are parasites of starfishes. Scalenostoma (3 species) are parasites of stone corals. Thyca (with 8 species) is removed from Capulidae, and included in Eulimidae. T. hawaiiensis sp.n. is described. The species of Thyca are parasites of starfishes. The species of Mucronalia (including M. trilineata sp.n.) are probably parasites of ophiuroids and Echineulima (with 4–6 species, including E. ponderi sp.n.) are parasites of echinoids. All species are figured, their characteristics are given and their host species and distributions are listed. Keys are given to the species of each genus, except Mucronalia. The genera Stilimella Laseron and Hyperlia Pilsbry are synonymized with Scalenostoma and the genera Kiramodulus Kuroda, Granulithyca Habe and Bessomia Berry are considered subgenera of Thyca.  相似文献

Two new genera, Reductosoma gen.n. (Desmosomatidae) and Desmostylis gen.n. (Desmosomatidae), and five new species are described from the Maud Rise and the Gunnerus Ridgc, Antarctica. Two new species of the Desmosomatidae (Eugerdellatinae and Desmosomatinae) are described: Reduetosoma gunnera gen. et sp.n. and Desmosoma hesslera sp.n.; one species of the Munnopsidae (Eurycopinae), Disconectes colernuni sp.n.; and two species of the Macrostylidae from the Antarctic deep sea, Desmostylis obscurus gen. et sp.n. and Macrostylis sarsi sp.n.
