植物种群的多尺度集聚与聚块特征变化是植物对环境协同适应的结果。运用成对相关函数与零模型方法,依据微地形的土壤盐分分布规律设置4个样地,在2 m×2 m的样方内设置400个小格子记录植物株数并取土样,分析了兰州秦王川盐沼湿地土壤盐分梯度下角果碱蓬种群(Suaeda corniculata)种群空间格局的集聚分布内在特征。结果表明:角果碱蓬种群集聚分布范围内呈现2个关键尺度的集聚现象,小尺寸聚块的集聚或叠加形成复合大尺度聚集,整体表现为嵌套双聚块分布;随着土壤盐分递减,种群集群分布中大聚块尺寸趋于增大,小聚块尺寸差异不明显;大尺寸聚块的数量明显减少,小聚块数量随种群植株数量变化,整个梯度呈现降低趋势;小聚块中植株个体平均数逐渐减少,复合大聚块中包含小尺度聚块平均数量呈降低趋势。内陆盐沼湿地土壤环境异质性背景下角果碱蓬种群集群分布中聚块特征的梯度变化,是植株个体形态与构成的调整适应,种群正负向生态关系、庇护与自疏效应梯度转换的结果。  相似文献

云斑天牛Batocera horsfieldi是我国南方杨树的重要蛀干害虫, 研究云斑天牛种群的空间格局和抽样技术, 可为该虫的危害调查与防治提供理论依据。应用Taylor的幂法则、Iwao m*-m回归分析法及6个聚集指标, 对云斑天牛种群的卵、幼虫、蛹或成虫的空间分布型和抽样技术进行了研究, 并做了影响因素分析。结果表明: 云斑天牛的卵、幼虫、蛹或成虫在杨树上均呈聚集分布, 分布的基本成分是个体群, 其聚集性随密度的增加而增大。运用Iwao m*-m回归中的两个参数α和β值, 计算出了在不同精度下以刻槽、排粪孔和羽化孔为防治指标时的理论抽样数据表及序贯抽样数据表,生产中可查阅使用。  相似文献

The growth of each individual in plant populations was simulatedby a spatial competition model for five density levels and fourdifferent spatial distribution patterns of individuals, varyingfrom highly clumped to regular. The simulation results wereanalysed using the diffusion model for evaluating the effectsof density and distribution pattern on the size-structure dynamicsin relation to the degree of competitive asymmetry. At low densities,changes in statistics of plant weight over time such as mean,coefficient of variation, skewness, and Box-Cox-transformedkurtosis differed greatly among spatial patterns, irrespectiveof the degree of competitive asymmetry. In completely symmetriccompetition, the spatial effect on size-structure dynamics remainedrelatively large irrespective of densities, although mean plantweight became similar among the spatial patterns with increasingdensity. However, the spatial effect diminished with increaseddensity in strongly asymmetric competition, when similar sizedistributions were realized irrespective of the spatial patterns.Therefore, it was concluded that: (1) irrespective of the degreeof competitive asymmetry, spatial pattern is important for size-structuredynamics at low densities; (2) spatial pattern is nearly immaterialunder strongly asymmetric competition at high densities; and(3) under crowded conditions, neighbourhood effects are muchmore apparent at the population level in less asymmetric competition.These processes and outcomes are linked to the forms of thefunctions of mean growth rate of individuals [G(t,x) function]and variance in growth rate [D(t,x) function]. These functionsare variable depending on the spatial pattern under symmetriccompetition, but are rather stable under strongly asymmetriccompetition at high densities irrespective of the spatial patterns.Therefore, size structure under strongly asymmetric competitioncan be regarded as a stable system, whereas that under symmetriccompetition is regarded as a variable system in relation tothe spatial pattern and process. 西花蓟马Frankliniella occidentalis(Pergande)已在北京部分蔬菜园区成功定居,对蔬菜生产造成危害。为了解该虫在蔬菜田的种群空间分布型,指导田间取样,本文应用几种聚集度指标的计算公式以及Taylor、Iwao的回归方程式,分析和测定了西花蓟马的种群空间分布格局。结果表明:在黄瓜和架豆上西花蓟马的空间分布型一致,均为聚集分布型;该虫的空间分布型不受种群密度的影响,并且也不随取样时间的变化而变化。种群数量动态研究显示西花蓟马成虫和若虫在黄瓜植株的中部叶片分布较多(从顶部向下数第4叶至第17叶片上成、若虫的分布数量多于其他叶片上的数量),未展开的叶片、嫩叶和下部老叶危害较轻。用Iwao回归法中α、β参数计算出在允许误差范围内的理论抽样数。  相似文献

Seasonal succession and variation in species composition, density,biomass, age distribution and frequency of zooplankton (mainlythe Copepoda) were analysed during the austral summer of of1977/1978 in Ezcurra Inlet, a part of the Antarctic coastalecosystem. Small zooplankters (i.e., cyclopoids of the generaOncaea and Oithona, and calanoids Drepanopus pectinatus andScolocithricella glacialis) were found to predominate in termsof abundance and percentage contribution. The zooplankton biomasswas dominated by larger organisms of the Metrididae and Calanidae(Calanoida). The maximum abundance and maximum biomass of copepodswere recorded in February; two small peaks in copepod biomassbeing observed in late December and late January, and a lesserbiomass peak in late December. The vertical distribution ofcopepods in terms of their diel and seasonal (December, January,February, March) changes showed a day-time maximum to have occurredin the near-bottom layer, the nocturnal distribution being bimodalwith peaks within 0–10 m and 25–50 m. The summerzooplankton community in Ezcurra Inlet is controlled by trophic(phytoplankton composition and density) and hydrological (waterexchange with Bransfield Strait) conditions prevailing in thearea.  相似文献

The number of mating pairs, the size of the mating partners,and the distribution of individuals of Vivi-parus ater on agrid in Lake Zürich were recorded during one breeding seasonin 1990. There was positive assortative mating with respectto shell size. The proportion of copulating individuals rangedfrom 1% to 6% (average 3%) of the active population at any onetime. Individual snails copulated 60 times on average from Apriluntil November. Snails were abundant and copulated in shallowwater close to the shore in Spring. They moved towards deeperareas in Autumn. V. ater copulated on all substrates at anydepth (1–9 m)of the grid. The spatial distribution ofcopulations throughout the summer reflected the pattern of snailabundance. 为探讨不同放牧强度下短花针茅种群密度空间分布的变化特点及差异,本研究以内蒙古四子王旗短花针茅荒漠草原建群物种短花针茅为对象,分析了对照、轻度放牧、中度放牧和重度放牧4块样地短花针茅种群小尺度空间分布异质性.结果表明: 短花针茅种群密度分别为重度放牧(27.81株·m-2)>中度放牧(22.17株·m-2)>对照(11.31株·m-2)>轻度放牧(10.76株·m-2),中度与重度放牧显著增加了短花针茅种群密度;通过半方差函数进行模型拟合,对照、轻度放牧、中度放牧及重度放牧样地短花针茅种群分布分别符合指数模型、球状模型、指数模型和球状模型;通过对短花针茅种群的空间分布格局分析,各样地结构比分别为对照(99.7%)>重度放牧(94.7%)>轻度放牧(92.7%)>中度放牧(87.9%),表明4块草地空间自相关性程度均较高,主要受结构性因素影响,中度放牧草地短花针茅种群结构比最小,受随机性因素影响相对较大;通过分形维数分析,4块草地空间结构良好,空间分布简单,并随着放牧强度增大,空间分布更简单且均质化;结合2D及3D图看,轻度放牧及重度放牧均造成短花针茅种群空间分布从梯度分布变成斑块分布,并使空间异质性降低.  相似文献

Cave bears (Ursus spelaeus) existed in Europe and western Asiauntil the end of the last glaciation some 10,000 years ago.To investigate the genetic diversity, population history, andrelationship among different cave bear populations, we havedetermined mitochondrial DNA sequences from 12 cave bears thatrange in age from about 26,500 to at least 49,000 years andoriginate from nine caves. The samples include one individualfrom the type specimen population, as well as two small-sizedhigh-Alpine bears. The results show that about 49,000 yearsago, the mtDNA diversity among cave bears was about 1.8-foldlower than the current species-wide diversity of brown bears(Ursus arctos). However, the current brown bear mtDNA gene poolconsists of three clades, and cave bear mtDNA diversity is similarto the diversity observed within each of these clades. The resultsalso show that geographically separated populations of the high-Alpinecave bear form were polyphyletic with respect to their mtDNA.This suggests that small size may have been an ancestral traitin cave bears and that large size evolved at least twice independently.  相似文献

Increases in population density often are associated with achange in mating system structure in numerous taxa. Typically,male interactions are minimal in extremely low density populations.As density increases, males exhibit territoriality but if densitybecomes too high, the energetic cost of defending a territorywill eventually outweigh the reproductive benefits associatedwith territoriality. Consequently, males in high density populationsmay abandon territoriality and adopt dominance polygyny, lekking behavior, or scramble competition. We investigated the relationshipbetween population density and mating system structure in threepopulations of the chuckwalla, Sauromalus obesus (= ater),near Phoenix, Arizona. Densities in the Phoenix Mountains (2.7chuckwallas/ha) were lower than any population previously studied.In the Santan Mountains (10.9 chuckwallas/ha), densities weresimilar to populations studied in the Mojave Desert, and inthe South Mountains (65 chuckwallas/ha), densities were the highest yet recorded. Male mating behavior was examined by determininghome range overlap and by making direct behavioral observations.Male home range size decreased with increasing population density.There was little overlap in home ranges among males in allthree populations, whereas home ranges of males and femalesconsistently overlapped, indicating that males were strictly territorial. This conclusion was supported by behavioral observationsof interactions among individuals in a natural setting. Thenumber of females wihin male territories was correlated withfood resources (plants) in all three populations. Female homerange size appeard to be related to food resources whereasmale home ranges appeared to be related to female distribution,population density, and geology. The retention of territoriality in spite of high population densities raises new questions aboutthe relationship between density and resource defense.  相似文献

The effects of population density on the growth of H. aspersaMÜller var. maxima under controlled environmental conditionswere examined. Inhibitory effects on snail growth and maturityresulting from increased population density, between 100–800snails m–2 of floor area, were observed for a range ofcontainer cleaning frequencies. At all population densities,enhanced snail growth was observed when the frequency of containercleaning was increased to a two-day interval. No significantdifferences were recorded, following 19 weeks growth, betweenfinal mean weights of snails from containers cleaned less frequently.The lowest snail mortality was consistently recorded at thelowest population density in the most frequently cleaned containers.At all snail population densities three phases of growth wereobserved: (a) lag (0–5 weeks), (b) rapid (6–15 weeks)and (c) stable (16 weeks and over). During the first three weeksof growth, high population density had a positive effect ondiet consumption, food conversion efficiency and snail growth.Adverse population density effects increased progressively duringphase (b), typically following 9 weeks growth. Juvenile snailstransferred from high to low population densities during phase(b) continued to exhibit slower growth rates associated withhigh population densities. Food conversion efficiency of snailsin all treatments decreased throughout the experimental periodbut with no overall effect of container cleaning frequency apparent.Inherent growth variability of sibling snails was unaffectedby population density or container cleaning frequency. Mysis relicta was sampled intensively along a depth profilein Lake Snåsavatnet using benthic trawls and verticalnet hauls. Samples were made around 12.00 and 24.00 h in May,June, August and September 1984. The light regime and temperaturewere also recorded. Mysis relicta showed a size-dependent diurnalvertical migration and seasonal benthic horizontal migrationbetween shallow and deep areas. The young individuals left themarsupium in spring while the adults were staying benthic inshallow areas. As they grew in size the young individuals changedhabitat, migrating into the pelagic zone and the deeper benthicareas. Mysis showed a bimodal vertical distribution patternon our deepwater station, with one density peak in the watercolumn and another along the bottom both day and night betweenMay and September. The bimodal distribution pattern is discussedin relation to the light regime and an asynchronic verticalmigration model. The density of Mysis was low in the pelagiczone compared to the shallow benthic area throughout the samplingperiod. Together with the difference in distribution patternin the pelagic and benthic zones, this may influence the distributionpattern of salinonids which seek Mysis as a food item in LakeSnåsavatnet.  相似文献

The spatial arrangement of suitable host plants in the field may significantly constrain insects to find optimal hosts. Plant neighbours around a focal host plant can either lead to lower (associational resistance) or higher (associational susceptibility) herbivore loads. We tested whether the spatial arrangement of hosts of different suitability for the larval development of the shoot-base boring weevil Apion onopordi affects oviposition decisions in the field. Host plants in our study were healthy creeping thistles (Cirsium arvense; suboptimal hosts) and thistles infected by a rust pathogen (Puccinia punctiformis; optimal hosts). For analysis, we used nearest neighbour methods that disentangle the spatial distribution of organisms that are dependent on the position of other species (e.g. phytophagous insects and their host plants). Although theory predicts that the small-scale spatial infestation pattern can have major consequences for the population dynamics in insect–plant systems, field studies quantifying spatial pattern of phytophagous insects are rare.

The spatial arrangement of host plants clearly influenced oviposition pattern in A. onopordi. In contrast to previous studies, we demonstrated that not the rust infection itself determined if a plant was infested by weevils, but rather the density of rusted shoots within a certain neighbourhood. We found strong indications for associational susceptibility of healthy thistle shoots to weevil oviposition when growing in the neighbourhood of rusted thistles. Weevil-infested plants were spatially aggregated, indicating that A. onopordi is limited in its dispersal ability within patches. Other stem-boring insects on creeping thistle were affected in their oviposition decisions by other factors than A. onopordi. Thus, it may be difficult to find general rules for oviposition choice in phytophagous insects.

Our study showed that the spatial arrangement of host plants in the field critically determines oviposition choice and should thus be included as constraint in theories of optimal host selection.  相似文献

对新疆吐鲁番地区葡萄斑叶蝉在葡萄园葡萄上的发生规律及种群空间分布型进行了研究。结果表明,该蝉在吐鲁番地区1年发生4代,1代高峰在5月中旬,其余各代世代重叠。其空间分布和温度变化关系密切,在春季平均气温20~30℃之间,种群趋于分布在藤架的中、高部位,而随着夏季温度的升高,种群向中、低位较荫蔽的部位转移,并通过在遮蔽物下躲藏或在阴凉湿润的土壤表面停留降温等措施度过极端温度。采用Taylor幂法则、Iwao的m-m回归分析法分析表明,吐鲁番地区葡萄斑叶蝉发生活动期为聚集分布,并且随种群密度的变化,呈现扩散-聚集-扩散-聚集-扩散-聚集的变化规律。  相似文献

The seasonal cycle of Cyclops vicinus was studied during a 5year period in the shallow and hypertrophic Lake Søbygård.The annual number of generations varied between three and sixand sometimes included midsummer generations. Naupliar and copepoditedensity was extremely high, the maximum recorded being 1313and 745 1–1 respectively. The seasonal fluctuation inthe abundance of C.vicinus was related to the concentrationof edible phytoplankton (EDP): when diatoms and cryptomonadswere abundant, nauplii and copepodites were also abundant, whereaswhen greens such as Scenedesmus spp. were dominant, no cohortswere observed. The maximum density of copepodites in the separatecohorts and the amount of EDP, expressed as carbon content,were found to be significantly correlated. The development ofthe second cohort also seemed to depend on the occurrence ofa peak in rotifer density. High number of eggs per female generallycoincided with high biovolume of EDP, suggesting that algaeconstituted a major part of the diet of adult C. vicinus. Theduration of the naupliar stage was inversely related to temperatureand is one of the shortest times that have been recorded inthe literature. The short duration is probably attributableto the abundance of food. Fish composition and the calculatedsex ratio of C.vicinus indicate low predation pressure fromplanktivorous fish. The high density of C.vicinus during thesummer, when the whole population would be expected to haveentered diapause, is probably attributable to the concurrenceof low predation and the abundance of food.  相似文献

Gene flow in natural populations may be strongly influenced by landscape features. The integration of landscape characteristics in population genetic studies may thus improve our understanding of population functioning. In this study, we investigated the population genetic structure and gene flow pattern for the common vole, Microtus arvalis, in a heterogeneous landscape characterised by strong spatial and temporal variation. The studied area is an intensive agricultural zone of approximately 500 km2 crossed by a motorway. We used individual-based Bayesian methods to define the number of population units and their spatial borders without prior delimitation of such units. Unexpectedly, we determined a single genetic unit that covered the entire area studied. In particular, the motorway considered as a likely barrier to dispersal was not associated with any spatial genetic discontinuity. Using computer simulations, we demonstrated that recent anthropogenic barriers to effective dispersal are difficult to detect through analysis of genetic variation for species with large effective population sizes. We observed a slight, but significant, pattern of isolation by distance over the whole study site. Spatial autocorrelation analyses detected genetic structuring on a local scale, most probably due to the social organisation of the study species. Overall, our analysis suggests intense small-scale dispersal associated with a large effective population size. High dispersal rates may be imposed by the strong spatio-temporal heterogeneity of habitat quality, which characterises intensive agroecosystems.  相似文献

The extent to which non-host-associated bacterial communities exhibit small-scale biogeographic patterns in their distribution remains unclear. Our investigation of biogeography in bacterial community composition and function compared samples collected across a smaller spatial scale than most previous studies conducted in freshwater. Using a grid-based sampling design, we abstracted 100+ samples located between 3.5 and 60 m apart within each of three alpine ponds. For every sample, variability in bacterial community composition was monitored using a DNA-fingerprinting methodology (automated ribosomal intergenic spacer analysis) whereas differences in bacterial community function (that is, carbon substrate utilisation patterns) were recorded from Biolog Ecoplates. The exact spatial position and dominant physicochemical conditions (for example, pH and temperature) were simultaneously recorded for each sample location. We assessed spatial differences in bacterial community composition and function within each pond and found that, on average, community composition or function differed significantly when comparing samples located >20 m apart within any pond. Variance partitioning revealed that purely spatial variation accounted for more of the observed variability in both bacterial community composition and function (range: 24–38% and 17–39%) than the combination of purely environmental variation and spatially structured environmental variation (range: 17–32% and 15–20%). Clear spatial patterns in bacterial community composition, but not function were observed within ponds. We therefore suggest that some of the observed variation in bacterial community composition is functionally ‘redundant''. We confirm that distinct bacterial communities are present across unexpectedly small spatial scales suggesting that populations separated by distances of >20 m may be dispersal limited, even within the highly continuous environment of lentic water.  相似文献

A field-scale study of the spatially explicit interaction between the carabid Poecilus cupreus Linnaeus, and two common aphid species (Sitobion avenae (Fabricius) and Metopolophium dirhodum (Walker)) in winter wheat was conducted. All three species showed considerable spatial pattern at the field scale. Activity-density of P. cupreus was an order of magnitude higher in the central part of the field compared to its periphery. Where P. cupreus activity-density was highest, S. avenae and M. dirhodum population peaks were delayed. Additionally, in the case of M. dirhodum, lower maximum counts were evident where P. cupreus activity-density was highest. An analysis of the movement of individual P. cupreus using release-recapture indicated that those beetles within the centre of the field exhibited reduced displacement, which may have caused the generation or maintenance of spatial pattern. Crop density was also measured throughout the field. Although crop density had no large-scale spatial pattern, its variability at the small-scale was consistent with an influence on aphid population dynamics. This study demonstrates empirically that both large-scale spatially explicit and small-scale localized processes influenced aphid population dynamics simultaneously.  相似文献

Abstract. Seed bank spatial pattern was studied in a secondary forest dominated by Fagus sylvatica and Betula celtiberica in the Urkiola Natural Park (N Spain). Soil samples were taken every 2 m in a regular grid (196 points) and divided into two fractions (0–3 cm and 3–10 cm deep). The viable seed bank was studied by monitoring seedling emergence for ten months. The effect of different factors on seed bank composition and patterning was analysed using constrained ordination as a hypothesis testing tool. Furthermore, the existence of spatial autocorrelation was evaluated by geostatistical analysis. Seed density was high, 7057 seed.m?2, with a few species dominating. Species composition in the various layers were significantly correlated. The seed bank showed significant spatial structure, which was partially explainable by the spatial structure of the canopy and understorey vegetation. Spatial clumping from 0–8 m was observed in seed bank density and composition, mainly due to the pattern of two abundant taxa Juncus effusus and Ericaceae. The Ericaceae seed bank was related to the spatial distribution of dead stumps of Erica arborea. J. effusus was not present in the above‐ground vegetation, which indicates that its seed bank was formed in the past. As expected, the seed bank of this forest reflects its history, which is characterized by complex man‐induced perturbations. The seed bank appears to be structured as a consequence of contrasting driving forces such as canopy structure, understorey composition and structural and microhabitat features.  相似文献

We tested whether the patchiness of barnacle settlement was determined by spatial (local) differences in settling and mortality rates. During the period of 2004–2011, annual photo-registration of a barnacles Semibalanus balanoides population was conducted on six flat rocks in the White Sea intertidal zone (Arctic). The average adult population density was 48 ind dm?2, and the average barnacle age was 3–4 years. According to age structure, during the first year, the number of recruits dropped by three to fourfold; while in the following 2 years, the population density remained nearly the same. The effect of ice friction influence was not recorded, although the rocks were covered with ice in winter. Settling peaks were recorded in 2005, 2007, and 2009. No correlation was observed between the recruit and adult distribution during 2 years of intense settlement. The death rate was uneven on different quadrates along the transects but did not correlate with population density. Because high settling rates and mortality are not linked to specific sites, this suggests that population patchiness is not spatially stable.  相似文献

蝗虫空间分布格局是物种长期适应自然的结果,是蝗虫与环境、蝗虫之间关系的反映,有助于理解蝗虫发生学的环境背景。采用地统计学方法,在黑河上游山区天然草地研究了微生境影响下的蝗虫空间格局与异质性。结果表明:该区域5种优势种蝗虫的半变异函数模型均为非线性模型,表现为聚集分布;不同种类蝗虫样点之间空间依赖的范围为2.29—24.59 m;在蝗虫种群总异质性中随机部分引起的空间异质性占15.77%—88.64%。受食性和栖息地选择的影响,蝗虫种群形成了片状和斑块状的分布格局;尺度依赖性使蝗虫分布格局趋于多元化和繁杂化的特点,不同蝗虫种群之间相互交错嵌插,同种蝗虫高低值呈非均匀扩散,整体上形成了均衡性与互补性的斑块镶嵌结构,这种分布格局反映了蝗虫对生境和气候变化的多元适应性结构。  相似文献
