Catheters were implanted in 18 gilts at 99 days of pregnancy to study the effects of meal intake on uterine and umbilical uptake of energetic substrates in the conscious pig. Blood samples were withdrawn at 105 days of pregnancy from 10 min before and up to 90 min after feeding of a 2.5-kg meal. Plasma glucose was 2.2 to 2.5 times lower and blood lactate 2 to 3 times higher in the foetus than in the sow. Glucose and lactate increased after the meal. Their umbilical uptake amounted to 0.32 and 0.26 mmol x L(-1), respectively. Fructose was found in large amounts in foetal plasma (4.3 mmol x L(-1)), but it did not seem to be metabolised by the foetus. Meal intake decreased plasma levels of FFA and glycerol in the sows, whereas they increased in the foetuses. A small FFA and glycerol umbilical uptake was recorded (14 and 6 micromol L(-1), respectively). Most features of the materno-foetal exchanges in the porcine species resemble those of other species, especially ruminants.  相似文献

The present study evaluates the effectiveness of the transcervical deep intrauterine insemination (DUI) with a reduced number of frozen-thawed boar spermatozoa in weaned sows. DUI was performed using a specially designed flexible device (length 180 cm, outer diameter 4mm, working channel 1.8mm, working channel's volume 1.5 ml) that was inserted through an artificial insemination spirette to cross the cervix lumen and moved into one uterine horn as far as possible. Spermatozoa diluted in 7.5 ml of BTS were flushed into the uterine horn by a syringe attached to the working channel. In Experiment 1, 111 hormonally treated (eCG/hCG) weaned sows were inseminated once using one of the following three regimens: (1) DUI with frozen-thawed spermatozoa (1000 x 10(6) cells per dose; n=49); (2) DUI with fresh semen (150 x 10(6) cells per dose; n=29, as control of DUI procedure); and (3) cervical insemination with frozen-thawed spermatozoa (6000 x 10(6) cells diluted in 100ml; n=33). No differences (P>0.05) were found for farrowing rates (77.55, 82.76, and 75.76, respectively) or litter sizes (9.31+/-0.41, 9.96+/-0.32, and 9.60+/-0.53 piglets born per litter, respectively) among the groups. In Experiment 2, DUI was performed on the spontaneous estrus in weaned sows (2-6 parity) with 1000 x 10(6) frozen-thawed (40 sows) or 150 x 10(6) fresh spermatozoa (38 sows). The farrowing rate of sows inseminated twice with frozen-thawed spermatozoa (70%) was significantly (P<0.05) lower than with fresh semen (84.21%). No significant difference (P>0.05) was found in litter size between frozen-thawed spermatozoa (9.25+/-0.23 piglets born per litter) and fresh semen (9.88+/-0.21 piglets born per litter). These preliminary results indicate that application of DUI provides acceptable fertility in weaned sows using a relatively low number of frozen-thawed spermatozoa.  相似文献

To investigate the effect of uterine space on timing of embryonic mortality, multiparous sows were left intact (CTR; n=42) or subjected to unilateral oviduct ligation (LIG; n=23), after their first post wean oestrus. Intact sows were killed at day 9 (n=10), day 21 (n=15), or day 35 (n=17), and LIG sows were killed at day 21 (n=11) or day 35 (n=12) of gestation. At day 9, 92% of ovulations were represented by an embryo. At day 21, embryonic mortality was 24% and was not altered by increasing uterine space. At day 35, space per embryo was twice as large in LIG sows (30±3 v. 16±0.8 cm), and implantation length tended to be larger (19.0±1.2 v. 15.5±1.3 cm). Between day 21 and day 35, CTR sows lost another 8% to 14% of their embryos, whereas LIG sows lost none. Embryos tended to be heavier (4.9±0.2 v. 4.3±0.3 g) in LIG sows. In conclusion, embryonic loss in multiparous sows is 24% by day 21 and is not related to space, whereas after day 21 limited space causes additional 8% to 14% embryonic mortality in intact sows only.  相似文献

The aims were to determine resistance index (RI) and pulsatility index (PI) in the uterine arteries of cyclic and pregnant domestic cats comparing the left and right uterine horns, as well as the majority or minority uterine horns, based on fetus number per horn; to determine the presence or absence of an early diastolic notch (EDN) in the uterine artery of pregnant queens. Ten domestic cats were followed during one cycle and one pregnancy until 63rd days after mating. The estrous cycle length was 16 ± 9.57 days. The uterine horn with the highest number of fetuses (majority uterine horn - MUH) presented 2.0 ± 1.0 fetus and the lower (minority uterine horn - miUH) presentes 0.78 ± 0.67 fetus. There were no differences in indexes between uterine arteries during the cycles and pregnancies. The RI and PI of MUH were lower than miUH (P<0.05). Uterine artery of the MUH presented lower indexes than miUH during the acceptance period (P<0.05). On D14 of pregnancy, uterine artery presented reductions in both indexes for the miUH. On D56, the PI was reduced in the miUH. The indexes depended on the week of pregnancy. EDN was present on the uterine arteries of all cats until D35, but disappeared by D49. The blood flow varied according to the category of horn.  相似文献

Blood flow to each uterine horn of cows during the oestrous cycle and early pregnancy was determined daily by use of electromagnetic blood flow probes placed around both middle uterine arteries. The pattern of blood flow to uteri of pregnant and non-pregnant cows was similar until Day 14 after mating or oestrus. Between Days 14 and 18 of pregnancy blood flow to the uterine horn containing the conceptus increased (P less than 0.01) 2- to 3-fold, whereas blood flow to the non-gravid uterine horn in these cows remained constant. No corresponding increase in blood flow to the uterine horn ipsilateral to the ovary bearing the CL was observed in non-pregnant cows during this 4-day period. By Day 19 of pregnancy, blood flow to the gravid uterine horn had returned to a level similar to that observed on Day 13. Blood flow to both uterine horns of pregnant cows remained constant from Days 19 to 25 and then increased to the gravid horn (P less than 0.01) markedly until Day 30 whereas blood flow to the non-gravid horn remained low. Uterine blood flow during the oestrous cycle of non-pregnant cows was positively correlated (P less than 0.01) with systemic concentrations of oestradiol and the ratio of oestradiol (pg/ml) to progesterone (ng/ml). There was no association between oestradiol concentrations and blood flow to the gravid uterine horn. These data indicate local control of uterine blood flow by the bovine conceptus which may function to create optimal conditions for the continuation of pregnancy.  相似文献

The pregnancy rate and the subsequent litter size were studied in 332 Swedish Yorkshire primiparous sows, fed according to a commercial Swedish feeding regime during lactation. The sows were weighed and backfat depth was recorded at the first farrowing, at weaning, and at mating. Oestrous detection was performed once daily after weaning, and the interval from weaning to first oestrus (IWO) was recorded. Blood samples for determination of plasma progesterone were drawn regularly after the first weaning. Statistical analyses were only performed on sows with an IWO of 3-8 days. Of these 206 sows were mated on their first (OE1 sows) and 87 sows on their second (87 OE2 sows) oestrus after weaning. The pregnancy rate was 85.4% for OE1 sows and 75.9% for OE2 sows (p=0.048). There was no significant difference in pregnancy rate between OE1 sows with an IWO of 3-5 days and OE1 sows with an interval of 6-8 days. OE2 sows with an IWO of 6-8 days, on the other hand, had a significantly lower pregnancy rate compared with OE2 sows with an interval of 3-5 days. The pregnancy rate in sows that lost more than 30 kg during the first lactation period did not differ from that of sows losing less than 30 kg. In sows with a first litter size of more than 9 piglets alive at birth, the pregnancy rate decreases significantly if mating is delayed until the second oestrus after weaning. OE2 sows had a significantly larger second litter size at birth than OE1 sows (+ 2.0). The litter size at six weeks did not, on the other hand, differ significantly (+ 0.4). There was a positive correlation between the IWO and 2nd litter size, although significant only for OE1 sows between the IWO and litter size alive at birth. In the OE1 group, sows losing 20 kg or less during lactation had significantly larger second litters at birth than the sows losing 21-30 kg, but not significantly larger than the sows losing more than 30 kg. One piglet more, at birth, in the first litter resulted in 0.25 piglet more in the second litter. For sows with a large first litter there was a low probability of also having a large second litter.  相似文献

A single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP; C vs. T) that creates an extra GATA-1 site (T allele) in intron 4 of the swine erythropoietin receptor (EPOR) gene was discovered and a genotyping assay for this SNP was developed. A total of 402 gilts from lines selected either at random (control), for ovulation rate (OR) or for uterine capacity (UC) for 11 generations were unilaterally hysterectomized-ovariectomized (UHO) at 160 days of age, mated at approximately 250 days of age and slaughtered at 105 days of pregnancy. Blood samples and spleens were collected from each foetus and the numbers of corpora lutea (CL) and live foetuses, the weights of each foetus and placenta, and each foetal haematocrit were recorded. In addition, intact gilts from the OR line or from a Yorkshire, Landrace, Duroc, crossbred line (BX) were mated and farrowed. At farrowing, the numbers of fully formed and live piglets were recorded for each litter. Genomic DNA was isolated for both the UHO and intact gilts, from foetuses from the UHO gilts that were heterozygous for the EPOR SNP, and from the boars from the BX line and were then used to determine EPOR SNP genotypes. Only CC and CT gilts were observed in the control, OR and UC selected lines. Presence of the EPOR T allele was associated (P < 0.05) with increased UC in these gilts. The number of heterozygous and homozygous foetuses did not differ within UHO litters, or did EPOR genotype influence foetal haematocrit. In intact gilts from the OR line, litter size was significantly associated (P < 0.05) with EPOR SNP genotype. Finally, results from intact gilts of the BX line, in which both the gilt and the boar genotypes were known, allowed an analysis to determine the effect of the gilt and/or the foetal genotype on litter size. This analysis indicated that the predicted foetal genotype (with gilt genotype as covariate) was associated with litter size (an increase of 2.6 +/- 1.0 piglets born alive predicted for homozygous T litters compared with homozygous C litters, P < 0.01) whereas the effect of the gilt genotype (adjusted for foetal genotype) on litter size was not significant. These results indicate that the EPOR SNP is associated with UC and litter size in two distinct populations and could be useful in increasing litter size in swine that are not limited in OR.  相似文献

To allow for the nonsurgical collection of swine embryos, the uteri of sows (n=7) were surgically shortened. A section of each uterine horn was resected to facilitate a transcervical flushing procedure. All sows with a shortened uterus exhibited natural estrus at least once after the operation. Four to six days after insemination, embryos were collected with a two-way Foley catheter. Embryos were collected (n=55, 6.3+/-6.0: x +/-SD ) from every treated sow. Although treated sows often did not exhibit estrus beyond 1 to 9 natural estruses, those sows (n=27) with persistent corpora lutea (CL) over a 4 to 5 wk period were given prostaglandin F(2alpha) (PGF(2alpha)) and they returned to estrus in 5.2+/-1.1 d: x +/-SD .  相似文献

On Day 5 of pregnancy, before the blastocyst migrates to the uterus, one uterine horn was ligated to restrict the trophoblast to the lumen ipsilateral to the corpus luteum. The numbers of placentomes (caruncles and cotyledons) were reduced by half, but neither at 120 nor at 140 days of pregnancy (term 147 days) did the weights of placentae and fetuses of treated ewes differ significantly from those of control ewes. Amongst uterus-ligated animals prepared for chronic study, the rate of uterine blood flow (electromagnetic flow transducer, ml/min) to the pregnant horn was higher than in control ewes, as was the concentration of progestagens in maternal peripheral blood. There may be a compensatory response that causes hypertrophy of placentomes and that increases blood flow to the uterine horn containing placental tissue.  相似文献

At present, it is possible to transfer pig embryos directly into the uterine body of sows by nonsurgical procedures. The aim of this study was to develop a procedure for nonsurgical embryo transfer (ET) into the upper part of one uterine horn in gilts and sows. In experiment 1, 29 gilts and 43 sows were used. Intrauterine insertions took place for each female at days 4-6 of the estrous cycle (D0 = onset of estrus). An artificial insemination (AI) spirette was inserted into the cervix to assist with the guidance of a modified flexible catheter originally developed for deep intrauterine insemination in pigs. The flexible catheter length inserted anterior to the inserted AI spirette was 43.0 +/- 1.7 cm. The time required to complete the procedure was affected by the type of female (P < 0.001) and by the difficulties encountered for inserting the catheter (P < 0.001). However, when no or minor difficulties were encountered during the insertion of the catheter (in approximately 70 and 80% of gilts and sows, respectively), the time required to complete the procedure did not differ between gilts (2.5 +/- 0.1 min) and sows (2.3 +/- 0.1 min). In experiment 2, 24 to 31 fresh morulae and/or blastocysts were transferred to each of 24 recipients. Seventeen animals (70.8%) farrowed an average of 6.9 +/- 0.7 piglets, of which 0.6 +/- 0.3 piglets were born dead. In conclusion, the procedure described in this study offers new possibilities to transfer embryos nonsurgically to the uterine horn of pigs.  相似文献

In early ovine fetal development, the placenta grows more rapidly than the fetus so that at mid-gestation the aggregate weight of placental cotyledons exceeds fetal weight. The purpose of this study was to compare two separate methods of measuring uterine blood flow and glucose and oxygen uptakes in seven mid-gestation ewes, each carrying a single fetus. Uterine blood flow to both uterine horns was measured by microsphere and by tritiated water steady-state diffusion methodology. Calculations of tritiated water blood flows and oxygen and glucose uptakes were based on measurements of arteriovenous concentration differences across each uterine horn. The distribution of blood flow and oxygen uptake between the two uterine horns was strongly correlated with placental mass distribution. The two methods gave comparable results for uterine blood flow (457 +/- 35 vs 476 +/- 35 ml/min), oxygen uptake (457 +/- 35 vs 476 +/- 35 mumol/min), and glucose uptake (63 +/- 8 vs 64 +/- 6 mumol/min). Uterine blood flow was approximately 38% of the late gestation value and 56.1 +/- 1 times higher than umbilical blood flow. Uteroplacental oxygen consumption was about 58% of late gestation measurements and 3.9 +/- 0.5 times higher than fetal oxygen uptake. We confirm that the large placental mass of mid-gestation is associated with high levels of maternal placental blood flow and placental oxidative metabolism.  相似文献

Six cyclic Holstein dairy cows were anesthetized on days 12–14 post-oestrus. Reproductive tract was exposed by midventral incision, and the ovarian (utero-ovarian) vein and facial artery cannulated. Oviduct was ligated, and a catheter (affluent) introduced into the tip of the uterine horn. The uterine horn was ligated above the uterine body, a second catheter (effluent) introduced into the uterine lumen, and an electromagnetic blood flow transducer placed around the uterine artery. On the day following surgery, the uterine horn was infused constantly for 9 h with PGF dissolved in PBS (0.7 ml/min, 177 ng/ml). During periods 1 and 3 (first 3 h and last 3 h, respectively) only PGF was perfused; during period 2 (between 3 h and 6 h) 101tgμg/ml of PGE2 were added to the perfusate together with PGF. Uterine venous and peripheral blood samples were collected simultaneously every 15 min, and uterine blood flow recorded continuously. Least-square means for PGF measured in uterine venous drainage for periods 1, 2 and 3 were 315 ± 26, 557 ± 24 and 511 ± 26 pg/ml, respectively (P < 0.05). Uterine blood flow values were 52 ± 5, 67 ± 4 and 61 ± 4 ml/min for periods 1, 2 and 3 (P < 0.08), respectively.Results do not support the hypothesis that the antiluteolytic effect of PGE2 is associated with a suppression of uterine PGF release into the circulation. Greater release of PGF to the circulation in period 2 (addition of PGE2) is probably the result of the vasodilatory effect of PGE2 on uterine endometrial vasculature.  相似文献

Farrowing is one of the most critical phases in pig production, as it has an impact on neonatal pig survival. Assessing the ease of farrowing can improve the management of sows and thus increase litter survival. The aims of this study were: 1) to develop an ease of farrowing score (EFS) in sows based on the behaviour of the sows and their piglets, and 2) to determine the relationship between the EFS and productive, physiological, and subjective parameters. Eighty hybrid (Large White × Landrace) sows from first to seventh parity housed in individual crates were used. An EFS was constructed using the total duration of farrowing, the birth interval, the total time standing or sitting, the number of position changes during the day before and the day of farrowing, the sow posture at birth, the viability and the position of the piglets at birth (head or back born). Moreover, rectal temperature at 90 min after farrowing, a four categorical subjective visual assessment (VA) of farrowing and litter size (piglets born alive, stillborn and mummified foetus) were recorded. A common factor analysis model yielded five factors with an eigenvalue higher than 0.95 that accounted for 75.05% of the total variation between individuals. The three main factors were “farrowing duration”, “sow posture”, and “sow activity” of sows and explained 23.44%, 15.67%, and 14.23% of the variance, respectively. Primiparous sows had higher values for factor 3 (sow activity) than multiparous sows (P = 0.02). Sows without stillborn or mummification foetus showed higher values of EFS than sows with at least one stillborn or mummification foetus (P = 0.06 and 0.01, respectively). Sows that received a visual assessment of 3 and 4 showed higher values of EFS than sows that received a VA of 1 and 2 (P = 0.0017). The EFS appears to be a good behavioural scale to measure ease of farrowing in sows kept in individual farrowing crates. Duration of farrowing, sow position, and presence of stillborn piglets and mummified foetuses appear to be important ease of farrowing indicators.  相似文献

Ultrasonography was used in six saddle back tamarin females (Saguinus fuscicollis) to diagnose pregnancy, monitor the patterns of uterine growth and embryonic/foetal development and examine the incidence loss of single embryos/foetuses. Pregnancy was reliably diagnosed 17 days after conception, 10 days earlier than by plasma progesterone measurement. The patterns of uterine and embryonic/foetal growth paralleled those reported for the common marmoset, including a delay in embryonic development. The results support the hypothesis of retardation of organogenesis in most callitrichid species. Individual embryos could be reliably identified from day 50 of pregnancy; a loss of single embryos/foetuses after this stage did not occur. All pregnancies were carried to term, resulting in five times twins and one singleton. The smaller litter size compared to the common marmoset may be due to loss of single embryos at earlier stages of pregnancy or to a lower ovulation rate.  相似文献

Recent developments in reproductive technologies have enabled the production of piglets of a predetermined sex via non-surgical, low dose artificial insemination. The practical application of sex-sorting technology to the pig is made challenging by the large numbers of sperm required for successful insemination of sows. One way of overcoming the time required for sex-sorting may be to create a bank of cryopreserved, sex-sorted sperm, thus making available appropriate doses as sows require insemination. To date, little success has been achieved with non-surgical inseminations of sex-sorted boar sperm. This study attempted to achieve litters of a predetermined sex after a double insemination of sows with 160x10(6) sex-sorted, frozen-thawed sperm. Sows were synchronised and sperm were non-surgically inseminated into the proximal third of the uterine horn at 36 and 42 h after hCG administration. Sows inseminated with sex-sorted sperm achieved similar pregnancy rates to those receiving an equal dose of unsorted, frozen-thawed sperm. However, all sows conceiving after insemination with sex-sorted sperm returned to oestrus within 57 days of insemination. This was a higher rate of pregnancy loss than observed for sows inseminated with unsorted sperm (37.5%; P=0.031). A combination of low sperm numbers and potentially compromised developmental capability of embryos derived from sex-sorted sperm may have resulted in this early stage loss of pregnancy.  相似文献

This paper intends to demonstrate that the conservative management of triplet pregnancy after delivery of one foetus is a feasible and reasonable approach. Three cases of triplet pregnancy with successful conservative management after miscarriage of one foetus, are presented and compared with cases in the literature. The route of delivery, as well as the role of tocolysis, cerclage, prophylactic antibiotic therapy and corticosteroids are discussed. Guidelines for conservative treatment are proposed. The deliveries of our three pregnancies were delayed by 63, 44 and 22 days respectively. Foetal and neonatal evolution are normal in five of the remaining foetuses. Only one intrauterine death is observed. No maternal complications with sequelae are reported. After abortion of the first triplet, contractions often persist and the birth of the two remaining foetuses may be unavoidable. Nevertheless, in our experience, confirmed by some reports in the literature, prolongation of the pregnancy after expulsion of the first foetus is possible. It can be achieved by cervical cerclage associated with tocolytic and antibiotic therapy. This management is not associated with significantly increased foetal-maternal morbidity.  相似文献

目的:探讨子宫特殊部位妊娠的临床诊断及处理。方法:回顾性分析2005年7月至2010年12月我院收治的18例子宫特殊部位妊娠患者的临床表现、诊断、处理及预后。结果:宫颈妊娠6例、宫角妊娠6例、残角子宫妊娠2例、子宫剖宫产瘢痕处妊娠4例。宫颈妊娠通过子宫动脉介入栓塞后清宫术治愈;宫角妊娠经MTX保守治疗后在超声或官腔镜引导下清宫术痊愈。残角子宫妊娠均行残角子宫切除术治愈。子宫剖宫产瘢痕处妊娠根据分型分别行超声引导下清宫+水囊压迫、局部注射MTX保守治疗治愈。结论:子宫特殊部位妊娠病情凶险,临床表现各异,但有其特异性,超声辅助检查有助于早期诊断,MTX、子宫动脉介入栓塞治疗后刮宫是有效治疗手段。  相似文献

Two methods are described for the measurement of uterine blood flow in the pregnant rabbit. The first involves the use of a Parks ultrasonic Doppler probe placed over the exposed uterine artery. The second method uses a drop counter system connected between the uterine and jugular veins. The Doppler flowmeter was used to measure uterine arterial blood flow in twenty rabbits on Day 28 or 29 of pregnancy. No significant difference was observed between blood flow on these 2 days and the absolute blood flow to one horn (plus or minus S. E.) was found to be 16.8 plus or minus 1.4 ml/min, equivalent to 27.1 plus or minus 1.8 ml/100 g tissue/min. Using the drop recorder technique, the flow to one uterine horn in eleven rabbits on Day 27 or 28 of pregnancy was 12.5 plus or minus 1.9 ml/min, equivalent to 23.6 plus or minus 3.2 ml/100 g tissue/min. The pressure-flow relationship in the uterine vascular bed was studied using the Doppler flowmeter and graded mechanical occlusion of the arterial supply. Within the range of pressures studied, the flow was found to be linearly related to the arterio-venous pressure difference. This suggests that the uterine vascular bed was fully dilated under the conditions of study.  相似文献

The objective of this study was to investigate the timing of foetal mortality in gilts of a segregating F2 cross of Large White and Meishan pigs on the basis of the length distribution of mummified foetuses and the frequency of non-fresh stillborn piglets in order to establish whether critical periods for foetal mortality exist. All expelled conceptuses and placentae of 192 farrowing gilts with a normal health status were meticulously investigated to recover all mummified foetuses. The length of each mummified foetus was measured. The predicted number of foetuses present per gilt at the early foetal stage of gestation was calculated as the sum of numbers of mummified foetuses and non-fresh stillborn, fresh stillborn and liveborn piglets. Foetal loss was calculated as the sum of mummified foetuses and non-fresh stillborn piglets. The average foetal mortality rate per gilt was 8.7%. In total 162 mummified foetuses were found (average 0.84 per litter), ranging in length from 0.4 to 33.0 cm. This indicates a range in foetal age at death of approximately 35-100 days. Although mummified foetuses of all lengths within the above mentioned range were found, relatively many had a length of less than 4 cm or of 10-21 cm. The total number of non-fresh stillborn piglets (i.e. late foetal deaths) was 58 (average 0.30 per litter). It can be concluded that foetal mortality occurred in these gilts throughout the period from day 35 to term, with relatively high incidences at the early foetal stage (days 35-40), shortly after mid-pregnancy (days 55-75) and after approximately day 100 of gestation. These three periods coincide with reported periods of change in porcine placental growth.  相似文献

The effects of ethanol on uterine sensitivity to induction of decidualization and deciduoma growth were determined. Rats were ovariectomized, given an oestrogen-progesterone regimen to optimize induction and growth of deciduoma and randomly assigned to one of three ethanol treatment groups: (i) days 1-4 (pre-induction/period of sensitivity), (ii) days 5-9 (post-induction/period of growth), (iii) days 1-9 (periods of sensitivity and growth); or to a control group not treated with ethanol (pair-fed to treated groups). Ethanol (0, 1, 2, or 4 g kg-1) diluted in water was administered by stomach tube on the days prescribed. Decidualization was induced in one uterine horn by intraluminal injection of sodium phosphate buffer. Uterine sensitivity and decidual growth were assessed as cornu weight. Blood alcohol concentrations were measured by gas chromatography. Alcohol treatment reduced uterine sensitivity, but increased deciduoma growth. Blood alcohol concentrations rose to 133 mg% at 30 min, remained high for 90 min and declined to 82 mg% at 120 min. Thus, blood alcohol concentrations sufficient to induce mild intoxication in humans suppressed uterine sensitivity to decidualization and enhanced deciduoma growth in rats. As all ovarian steroid hormone support was exogenous, the effects of ethanol on deciduoma induction and growth were not due to alterations in the hypothalamic-pituitary-ovarian axis.  相似文献
