Female morphology and systematic status of Philometroides cyprini (Nematoda: Philometridae), a parasite of carp

Gravid females of Philometroides were found under the scales of stock carp Cyprinus carpio L. imported from Lithuania to the Czech Republic in the spring of 1997 and kept in a quarantine pond. These specimens and those obtained from pond-cultured carp in Russia (Moscow district) were used for detailed morphological studies, including scanning electron microscopy. The results confirm that the valid name of this parasite is Philometroides cyprini (Ishii, 1931), whereas Philometra lusii Vismanis, 1962, Philometra schikhobalowae Belous, 1965, Philometra lusiana Vismanis, 1966 and Philometroides lusiana (Vismanis, 1966) Ivashkin et al., 1971 are its junior synonyms. P. cyprini, the agent of a serious disease of carp, seems to have been originally distributed in east Asia, from where it was introduced into Europe in the early 1960s.     

A new genus Thubdora Park,gen. nov. and seven new species of the subfamily Torodorinae (Lepidoptera,Lecithoceridae) from Cameroon and Rep. of Congo,Africa

Based on the material collected from Cameroon in 1913–1918 and Congo in 1993 which are preserved in the Carnegie Museum of Natural History, Pittsburgh, USA, a new genus Thubdora Park, gen. nov. and seven new species of the subfamily Torodorinae (Lecithoceridae) are described. They are Torodora efulenensis sp. nov., Dragmatucha hispidula sp. nov.; and five species of Thubdora: T. acutalis sp. nov., T. bilobella sp. nov., T. aciphalla sp. nov., T. ambliodes sp. nov., and T. cameroona sp. nov. In addition, six species of Lecithocera Herrich-Shäffer described by Viette, 1955, Viette, 1986 and Meyrick, 1931, Meyrick, 1933 are newly transferred to Torodora and its related genera, due to the male genital characters: Idiopteryx adella (Viette, 1955), comb. nov.; Thubdora decavella (Viette, 1955), comb. nov.; Thubdora mocquerysella (Viette, 1955), comb. nov.; Torodora kambanella (Viette, 1986), comb. nov.; Torodora masoalella (Viette, 1955), comb. nov.; Torodora monobyrsa (Meyrick, 1931), comb. nov.; and T. ochrometra (Meyrick, 1933), comb. nov. For the new species, images of adults with their labels and genitalia are provided.     

角瘿绵蚜属的研究及新亚属新种记述(同翅目:瘿绵蚜科)(英语)

本文描述了角瘿绵蚜叶瘿亚属Selibaizongia subg.nov.和卵角瘿绵蚜新种Baizongia(S.)ovagallasp.nov.及多感角瘿绵蚜新种Baizongia(S.)sensucopia sp.nov,并建议重新恢复印度角瘿绵蚜B.aedificator(Buckton,1893)的独立种地位.模式标本存中国科学院动物研究所.     

Michajlowastasia nom. nov. for the parasitic euglenoid genus Parastasia Michajłow, 1972 (Euglenozoa: Euglenoidina: Astasiidae)

A new name, Michajlowastasia nom. nov., is introduced as a replacement name for the pre-occupied euglenoid genus name Parastasia Michaj?ow, 1972 (nec Westwood, 1841). Eighteen species-group names are referred to this new generic name.     

The anoplocephalid cestode parasites of the spectacled hare-wallaby Lagorchestes conspicillatus Gould, 1842 (Marsupialia: Macropodidae).

Progamotaenia gynandrolinearis sp. nov. is described from the small intestine of Lagorchestes conspicillatus Gould, 1842 from Barrow I., Western Australia. It is distinguished from other species by the small number of testes arranged in a single transverse row. Progamotaenia lagorchestis (Lewis, 1914) is redescribed. The name Progamotaenia thylogale sp. nov. is proposed for a second species described previously under the name P. lagorchestis. Progamotaenia zschokkei (Janicki, 1905), Progamotaenia festiva (Rudolphi, 1819) and Progamotaenia villosa (Lewis, 1914) were also found in L. conspicillatus.     

Proposal to replace the illegitimate genus name Prescottia Jones et al. 2013 with the genus name Prescottella gen. nov. and to replace the illegitimate combination Prescottia equi Jones et al. 2013 with Prescottella equi comb. nov

Recently we proposed that Rhodococcus equi (Magnusson 1923) Goodfellow and Alderson 1977 be transferred to a novel genus, Prescottia, as Prescottia equi comb. nov. However, in accordance with Principle 2 and Rule 51b(4) of the Bacteriological Code (1990 Revision), the bacterial genus name Prescottia Jones et al. 2013 is deemed illegitimate as this name has been used previously for a plant genus within the family Orchidaceae. Consequently, a new genus name, Prescottella gen. nov. is proposed for the bacterial taxon and a new combination Prescottella equi comb. nov. is proposed for the type species.     

Hyphydrini Sharp, 1882, nomen protectum and Actobaenidae Gistel, 1856, nomen oblitum(Coleoptera: Dytiscidae: Hydroporinae)

The genus name Echinopus Gattolliat, 2002 is preoccupied and therefore must be considered as unavailable. Modaechinopus gen. nov. is proposed as a replacement name with the two new combinations Madaechinopus giboni (Gattolliat, 2002) and M. minutus (Gattolliat, 2002).     

Xerxes, a new name to replace Alcantara (Asteraceae: Vernoniae)

Xerxes is proposed as a new name to replace Alcantara Glaziou ex G. M Barroso (Asteraceae) (1969), not Alcantarea (Morren ex Mez) Harms (Bromeliaceae) (1929). The genus is monotypic, represented by Xerxes ekmanianum , comb. nov.     

Eosytchevskia nom. nov.—a New Name for Parabarbus Sytchevskaya non Franz (Cyprinidae)

Journal of Ichthyology - Eosytchevskia nom. nov. (type species: Parabarbus mynsajensis Sytchevskaya, 1986) has been proposed as a substitute name for the oldest known genus of cyprinids, Parabarbus...     

Morphology of Philometroides barbi (Nematoda: Philometridae), a rare tissue parasite of the Mediterranean barbel Barbus meridionalis (Osteichthyes)

A female specimen of the nematode Philometroides barbi Moravec, Simková, Hanzelová, Spakulová et Caki?, 2005, a little-known histozoic parasite of the Mediterranean Barbus meridionalis, was recorded from the fin of its fish host in Bulgaria. Scanning electron microscopical examination, used for the first time in this species, made it possible to determine the character of cephalic papillae (14 papillae arranged in 2 circles) and amphids and confirmed the presence of 4 large caudal lobes. These features distinctly distinguish P. barbi from Philometroides cyprini and other congeners parasitizing European fishes.     

瘿蚊科中国一新纪录属种记述(双翅目,瘿蚊科)

报道了瘿蚊科鼓瘿蚊亚科中国1新纪录属,即独瘿蚊属Asynapta Loew,1850及其中国1新纪录种,即戈氏独瘿蚊Asynapta groverae Jiang et Bu,nom nov.(山东:青岛).本种模式产地在印度,原置于Dicerura属,即Dicerura indi-ca Grover,后由定名人转入Cryptoneurus属,本文将其转入Asynapta属,是为新组合;但转入后,本种与Asynapta属中的原有种同名,成为一个次后同名,因此为本种命一新名.文中重新描述并图示该种的特征,补充和修正了原始描述中的不足.     

Contribution to the knowledge of the genus Ainu (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae: Stenochiinae)

The genus ErulipusFairmaire, 1903 (previously in the subfamily Tenebrioninae, tribe Helopini), after the study of the type species (Erulipus fruhstorferiFairmaire, 1903), is transferred to the genus AinuLewis, 1894 (subfamily Stenochiinae, the tribe Cnodalonini) as a subgenus. Consequently, two new combinations are established: Ainu (Erulipus) fruhstorferi (Fairmaire, 1903), comb. nov. and Ainu (s. str.) multicolor (Pic, 1927), comb. nov. The syntypes of Erulipus fruhstorferi and Erulipus multicolorPic, 1927 are studied and the new synonym is proposed: Erulipus fruhstorferi?=?Ainu grandisRen and Yuan, 2005, syn. nov. Two new species are described from China: Ainu linwenxini Nabozhenko & Ren, sp. nov. (Taiwan) and Ainu basifemoratum Nabozhenko & Ren, sp. nov. (Yunnan). Both the new species are closely related to A. sichuanumRen and Yuan, 2015.     

广西绳蚋二新种(双翅目,蚋科)

记述广西壮族自治区蚋属绳蚋亚属2新种,元宝山绳蚋S.(G.)yuanbaoshanense sp.nov.和龙胜绳蚋S.(G.)longshengense sp.nov.,二者均以采集地命名.模式标本存放于贵阳医学院生物学教研室.元宝山绳蚋,新种S.( G.)yuanbaoshanense sp.nov.(图1～14)新种雄虫后足基跗节不膨胀,两侧平行,隶属于巴托绳蚋组batoense group.与报道自爪哇的巴托绳蚋S.(G.)batoense Edwards和产自我国的金鞭绳蚋S.(G.)jinbianense Zhang and Chen近缘.但新种依其雄虫尾器的形状、蛹呼吸丝的分支情况及幼虫后颊裂端圆等特征与前者有明显的差异.而股、胫节无鳞状毛、胫节无亚基黑环及雌虫生殖叉突后臂无侧突,可与后者相区别.正模♀,副模2(♂)(♂),7蛹,3幼虫,均采自广西元宝山溪流水草中.龙胜绳蚋,新种S.(G.)longshengense sp.nov.(图15～27)根据新种雄虫后基跗节不膨胀,也隶属于绳蚋亚属的batoense组(Takaoka and Davies,1995,1996).与报道自中国的海南绳蚋S.(G.)hainananse Long and An近似.二者蛹的特征几乎无区别,但新种雄虫生殖肢端节和腹板的形状,各足股节具暗色鳞状毛;幼虫后颊裂端圆,腹节无暗色分支毛,可资鉴别.正模♀,副模3蛹,1幼虫采自广西龙胜县三门山溪背阳水草中;3蛹,1幼虫采自广西十万大山小溪水草中.     

<Emphasis Type="Italic">Gerhardstorchia</Emphasis> nomen novum: a new name for <Emphasis Type="Italic">Storchia</Emphasis> Dahlmann 2001 (Mammalia: Lipotyphla: Talpidae: Desmaninae)

A junior homonym was detected in a talpid (desmanine) mammalian genus name, and the following replacement name is proposed: Gerhardstorchia nom. nov. for Storchia Dahlmann 2001.     

A STUDY ON BAIZONGIA RONDANI, 1848 WITH DESCRIPTIONS OF A NEW SUBGENUS AND TWO NEW SPECIES (HOMOPTERA: PEMPHIGIDAE)*

Abstract Subgenus Selibaizongia Zhang Subg. nov., Baizongia (S.) ovagalla sp. nov. and Baizongia (S.) sensucopia sp. nov. are new to science. It is suggested that Baizongia aedificator (Buckton, 1893) should be resurrected as valid name.     

Revision of the fruit fly genus Capparimyia (Diptera, Tephritidae)

Capparimyia Bezzi is revised and eight species recognized, of which four are new: C. aenigma sp. nov., C. maerua sp. nov., C. mirabilis sp. nov., and C. spatulata sp. nov. A lectotype is designated for C. bipustulata (Bezzi, 1923), C. savastani (Martelli) and C. melanaspis (Bezzi). Capparimyia aristata nom. nov. is proposed as a replacement name for Pardalaspis (now Capparimyia ) bipustulata Bezzi, 1924 (preoccupied Bezzi, 1923). All species are described or re-described, with illustrations of mesonotal and wing patterns and male and female terminalia. A key to species is provided. Phylogenetic relationships within the genus are analysed cladistically and considered vis-à-vis the relationships between the host plants. Distribution patterns are discussed.     

Corrigendum: Renaming of Kimberia Dennis-Bryan & Miles, 1983

Mr Neville Pledge, Curator of Fossils at the South Australian Museum, has informed us that the name Kimberia which we used to describe a new genus of arthrodire from Gogo (Dennis-Bryan & Miles, 1983) is preoccupied by a gastropod. This was described by Cotton & Woods (1935) as a subgenus of Turritella Lamarck, the type species being Turritella (Kimberia) kimberi . We therefore propose to substitute the name Kimberleyichthys gen. nov. for the arthrodire.     

中国东南沿海裸鞘花水母一新属及三新种记述

记述了采自中国东南沿海台湾海峡南部、福建南部东山湾和福建东部宁德三都湾裸鞘花水母1新属——拟长管水母属Dipurenella gen.nov.和3新种,即刺胞海帽水母Halitiara knides sp.nov.,东山拟长管水母Dipurenella dongshanensis sp.nov.和粗管外肋水母Ectopleura crassocanalis sp.nov.。详细描述其形态特征,并与近似种进行比较。模式标本保存于厦门大学海洋与环境学院。     

Stukalinia, a new substitute generic name for fossil crinoid Lobocrinus Stukalina non Wachsmuth and Springer 1897 (Echinodermata: Crinoidea)

A new generic name, Stukalinia nom. nov., is proposed for a fossil Ordoviacian crinoid that currently has the preoccupied fossil generic name Lobocrinus Stukalina 1982 non Wachsmuth and Springer (1897), along with a new family name, Stukaliniidae nom. nov., instead of the illegitimate family name Lobocrinidae Stukalina (1982).     

西藏和四川省管巢蛛属三新种记述(蜘蛛目,管巢蛛科)

在进行中国管巢蛛科系统学研究时,发现了产自西藏和四川的管巢蛛属3新种:波密管巢蛛Clubiona bomiensis sp.nov.,心形管巢蛛Clubiona cordata sp.nov.和指管巢蛛 Clubiona dactyla sp.nov,.这3新种均属于管巢蛛属的拟管巢蛛种组(group paraclubiona).所有标本均保存在河北大学生命科学学院.文中测量单位为mm.
