A taxonomic review of Phlebotomus (Idiophlebotomus) (Psychodidae)   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Five known species (asperulus Quate & Fairchild, erebicolus Quate, pholetor Quate & Fairchild, sejunctus Quate, and stellae Quate) of the caverni-colous subgenus Phlebotomus (Idiophlebotomus) are discussed in relation to newly recognized species from West Malaysia and India. P. frondifer n.sp. and P. tubifer n.sp. are described and a key to the adults of all seven species is given. General features of the subgenus are discussed, with particular reference to the functional relationships between the specialized morphology of the mouthparts and the probable bat hosts of these species.  相似文献

Abstract  The Australian subgenus Sinella ( Sinella ) Brook is revised. Two species are recognised. A new species from New South Wales and South Australia, Sinella ( Sinella ) samueli , is described and the widely distributed species Sinella ( Sinella ) termitum Schött is redescribed based on examination of a specimen from the type series and fresh collections from a wide range of localities in south-eastern Australia. New patterns of chaetotaxy for the genus are described from these species.  相似文献

The fixation of trans-(NH3)2Cl2 Pt(II) to poly(I)·poly(C) at low rb (< 0.05) leads to the formation of two complexed species. The major species (ca. 82% of bound platinum) involves coordination of platinum to a single hypoxanthine base, while the other species involves coordination of two hypoxanthine bases, which are either far apart on the same strand or on separate poly(I) strands, to the platinum. These same two species are found after reaction with poly(I), as are two other species throughout the entire rb range studied (rb = 0–0.30). The latter two species are assigned to trans-Pt bound to two bases on a poly(I) strand with (a) one or (b) two free bases between the two bound bases. These two species, (a) and (b), account for ca. 35% of the bound platinum, although the 1:1 species remains dominant (ca. 55%). These two additional species are observed at high rb (>0.075) after reaction with poly(I)·poly(C) but as very minor species. They are formed by reaction with melted poly(I) loops. Also at high rb, we have observed a shifted cytidine H5 resonance arising from interaction of trans-Pt with a melted loop of poly(C). Most probably, this arises from an intramolecular poly(I) to poly(C) crosslink. Results from the reaction of trans-Pt with poly(C) are presented for comparison.  相似文献

The acid-base and copper (II) complexing properties of the heteropolynucleotide poly(inosinic)-poly(cytidylic) acid were studied by means of potentiometric, spectrophotometric, CD, and molecular fluorescence titrations in a working aqueous medium of 0.15 M ionic strength at 37°C. The study of the acid-base equilibria has proved the existence of four different species in the pH interval 2–11. Two new species are detected in the presence of copper(II) ion, at acidic and neutral pH values. Spectrophotometric, CD, melting, and fluorescence data were treated with a multivariate curve resolution procedure that allowed the determination of the number of species simultaneously present in each system [acid-base equilibria, copper(II) complexation equilibria], and the estimation of their concentration profiles and of the pure spectra for each species. From the concentration profiles an unambiguous assignment of which species are present at any pH conditions can be made. Furthermore, the knowledge of the pure uv-visible, fluorescence, and CD spectra recovered by the proposed resolution method for each species brings important structural information. When this mathematical approach was applied to the thermal denaturation data, the melting profile and the uv pure spectra for all the different species or conformations formed in the melting process, were calculated. © 1997 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. The revision deals with the anatomy and systematics of the known 38 species of Koinocystididae. The taxonomy within the family is revised, a key for the identification of live specimens is given and an attempt is made to reconstruct the phylogeny of genera and species on the basis of anatomical transformation series. New genera are Axiutelga. Brunetia, Getula. Groveia, Itaipusina, Legula ana Neoutelga. New species are Groveia unicornis, Itaipusa bispina, I. curvicirra, Neoutelga inermis, Rhinolasius dillonicus and Utelga pseudoheinckei from the N. American Pacific coast (the latter species also from European coasts) and Itaipusina graefei from the Elbe estuary. Acrumena massiliensis Brunet is transferred from Koinocystididae to Acrumenidae fam.n. Four species are considered to be species incertae sedis.  相似文献

Abstract. The sibling species Drosophila melanogaster and D.simulans often co-occur. Males are easily distinguished using their genitalia while females of the two species are often deemed indistinguishable. A series of nine linear and two angular measurements were taken using the heads of both males and females of both species from the same locality. A simple comparison of cheek width and eye height accurately assigned all females to species. Multivariate techniques using linear head measures alone produced very good discrimination between both species and sexes. Drosophila simulans have significantly larger eyes and narrower eye margins than D.melanogaster. Unknown females collected from this locality could be easily and reliably assigned to species.  相似文献

Linnaeus listed and described (as Ostrea species) 20 recent pectinid species in the 10th edition of his Systema Naturae and one pectinid species in his Mantissa. These are now placed in 17 genera of the family Pectinidae. Nine species are cited to Museum Ludovicae Ulricae. Ten primary types are present in the Linnéan Society of London, and the same number in die Zoological Museum of die Uppsala University. Two lectotypes were designated recendy by Smith and Waller; 18 lectotypes and one neotype are selected herein. Nine of the species are type species of currently accepted pectinid genera. Seven new type localities are also designated for species which had unknown or erroneous type localities, and six are more restricted. Potential type material of eight species is also traced in the Gualtieri collection of the Museo di Storia Naturale e del Territorio at Certosi di Calci (Italy).  相似文献

The greatest number of feather mite Congeners occurring on a single host are members of the genus Fainalges Gaud & Berla (Acarina, Xolalgidae), associates of New World parrots. For the green conure, Aratinga holochlora (Sclater) (Aves, Psittacidae), there are six new and one previously known Fainalges species; these will be (re) described herein. The new species are: F. bilobatus, F. latistriatus, F. spiculatus, F. stettenheimi, F. tanythrix, F. vulgaris ; the redescribed species is F. longissimus Mejía-González & Pérez. Additionally, the developmental series for each species is (re)described. The microhabitats of the two most abundant species, F. bilobatus and F. vulgaris , are established. Fainalges brevissimus Mejía-González & Pérez is considered as a junior synonym of F. intermedius (Trouessart).  相似文献

Ochromonas sensu lato is the largest genus in the Chrysophyceae, containing over 100 names. Ochromonas species are biflagellate, naked, plastid-bearing single cells, distinguished from loricate, scaled, colonial and colorless genera. Most, if not all, species of Ochromonas are mixotrophic, i.e., they photosynthesize but they also engulf bacteria and other small prey. Preliminary evidence from SSU rRNA sequences show that Ochromonas is a polyphyletic genus. Ochromonas tuberculata is the most distinct from all other Ochromonas species. The other Ochromonas species (examined thus far) are scattered in three clades. For example, O. danica and O. sphaerocystis are sister to Poterioochromonas stipitata and P. malhamensis . Four additional species (identified by light microscopy as O. elegans Doflein, O. globosa Skuja, O. ovalis Dolfein, O. sociabilis Pringheim ) have SSU rRNA sequences identical to P. malhamensis . Of these, only O. sociabilis has been transferred to Poterioochromonas . Thus, at least some species may be synonymous with others. Two clades of marine species are also known, one containing coastal species and the other containing open ocean species. A number of genera (some also polyphyletic) are interspersed amongst the Ochromonas species (e.g., Chrysolepidomonas, Chrysonephele, Chrysoxys, Cyclonexis, Dinobryon, Epipyxis, Uroglena, Uroglenopsis ). The goal of this research (just beginning) is to establish a monophyletic Ochromonas , probably by assigning some species to other genera (existing or new). One major problem is that the type species, O. triangulata Vysotskii , hasn't been observed in over 100 years, and it is unclear which of several clades of Ochromonas contains the type. The preimaginal stages of the Neotropical species Hydrobiomorpha spinosa (Orchymont) are described and figured for the first time. 在标本观察和野外调查的基础上,对西藏的嵩草属Kobresia植物进行了分类学修订,共确认了36种和1亚种。更正了6个类群的学名,它们正确的名称是K. esenbeckii,K. fissiglumis,K. gammiei,K. littledalei,K. myosuroides ssp. bistaminata和K. vaginosa。有13个名称,即K. angusta,K. cercostachys var. capillacea,K. clarkeana,K. curticeps var. gyirongensis,K. deasyi,K. glaucifolia,K. hookeri,K. nudicarpa,K. prainii var. elliptica,K. seticulmis,K. stenocarpa,K. stenocarpa var. simplex和K. williamsii处理为异名,其中K. prainii var. elliptica,K. glaucifolia和K. stenocarpa var. simplex为新异名。发现了西藏分布的一个新记录种密穗嵩草K. handel-mazzettii。还收录了最近发表的假钩状嵩草K. pseuduncinoides和阔鳞嵩草K. woodii。此外,重新编制了西藏嵩草属分种和亚种检索表,并较为详细地登记了各类群在西藏的分布地点。  相似文献

A faunistic review of larvae and pupae of chironomid midges (Diptera, Chironomidae) from 15 habitats in the Hrazdan River valley (Armenia) is presented. The revealed fauna includes 40 species from 20 genera and 6 families and tribes. Diploid chromosome numbers are specified for 24 species from 13 genera and 4 subfamilies; 23 species from 14 genera and 4 subfamilies are reported from the region for the first time. Predominant oligotrophic status is confirmed for most of the reservoirs studied.  相似文献

秋海棠属植物除了具有较高的观赏价值外,在中国还作为药用、食用、饮料和饲料等被利用。本文应用民族植物学研究方法,通过野外调查、文献和标本收集整理和研究,共记载了中国产26种秋海棠属植物被作为药用、食用、饮料和饲料加以利用。在所记载的26种国产秋海棠属植物中,有24种作药用,8种作食用(蔬菜)或饮料,5种作饲料。3种作饮料的种类在其自然分布地被广泛利用。9种秋海棠作为多种用途加以利用,其中8种既被作为药用、食用和饮料,也被作为饲料加以利用。本研究还表明,国产秋海棠属植物中,有些种类由于过度采集利用或其它因素已变得稀有或濒危。由此提出,合理开发利用和有效保护应成为今后中国秋海棠属植物研究的重要内容。  相似文献

The relationship between the Asian generaDisepalum Hook. f. andEnicosanthellum Ban (Annonaceae) is examined in a revisionary study. Despite the disparate perianth morphologies of the two genera, other characters support inclusion of all species in a single genus with nine species. The monocarp stalks in all species are found to be derived from the receptacle rather than the ovary, and are thus not homologous with those found in most other Annonanceae genera. Cladistic analysis indicates that the species on the mainland of Asia and of montane habitats are more primitive than the species of the lowlands and of Sumatra and Borneo. Two new combinations,Disepalum petelotii andD. plagioneurum, are necessary as a result of merging the two genera, and one species,D. aciculare, is described as new.  相似文献

Cyclanthura flower weevils (Coleoptera: Curculionidae: Derelomini) are identified for the first time as pollinators of multiple species of Anthurium (Araceae) in Costa Rica. The weevils are present on the inflorescences in small numbers during the pistillate and staminate phase of anthesis, and consume plant tissues and pollen. The individuals of one species of Cyclanthura can visit several Anthurium species within the same locality. They also engage in reproductive activities and are likely to oviposit into the flowers. The mating strategies suggest that sperm precedence selects males that are able to secure their position as the last partner prior to oviposition.  相似文献

The complex typification and nomenclature of the eight species of Geissorhiza based on Thunberg's Cape collections, is reviewed critically in preparation for a complete revision of the genus. These species, initially assigned to Ixia , were described by Thunberg and von Linné fil., founded on collections of twelve different species. Some well known species require changes to their nomenclature; G. rochensis sensu Ker becomes G. radians (Thunb.) Goldbl.; while Ixia scillaris Thunb. nom. illeg., based on three different species is lectotypified and shown to be G. scillaris Spreng., a species quite distinct from G. juncea , with which it has often been confused. Arguments for considering the name G. secunda illegitimate are reviewed. The species long known by this epithet must be called G. aspera Goldbl. Lectotypes have been designated for G. monanthos, G. radians, G. scillaris and G. setacea , none of which have been satisfactorily typified before.  相似文献
