为探究养殖模式对草鱼(Ctenopharyngodon idellus)鱼肉品质的影响,实验对两种养殖模式下(传统池塘养殖和池塘循环水养殖)草鱼的食用品质进行了差异比较。结果表明,循环水养殖草鱼肌肉白度和弹性高于传统池塘养殖的草鱼,且其不饱和脂肪酸和必需氨基酸含量均显著高于传统池塘养殖;其中, n-3和n-6系列不饱和脂肪酸含量显著高于传统池塘养殖草鱼,是其1.2倍,使得草鱼的肌肉品质和营养品质更佳。此外,循环水养殖可降低草鱼中带有土腥味和青草味的己醛、庚醛和1-辛烯-3-醇等物质的含量,且鲜味核苷酸(IMP)含量高于传统池塘养殖草鱼,使得草鱼的风味更鲜美、浓厚。研究表明,循环水养殖草鱼的肌肉品质和营养特性均优于传统池塘养殖。  相似文献

Atlantic cod (0.8–2.5 kg) were transferred froni 8°C to 1°C seawater for 17 days. No fish died. Exposure to 1°C water produced no changes in hematocrit, or in plasma concentrations of Cl or Mg2+. Cold water exposure caused a marked increase in plasma cortisol and glucose concentrations. Fish in 1°C seawater had higher gill Na-K-ATPase activity than fish in 8°C seawater, whereas there were no differences in gill lipid class or fatty acid composition.  相似文献

We tested two non-nodularin-producing strains of the cyanobacterium Nodularia spumigena, isolated from a marine (Kachelotplate) and a brackish water (Banter Sea, Wilhelmshaven) habitat in Lower Saxony, Germany, for allelochemical production (e.g. alkaloids, flavonoids) and allelopathic activities (e.g. algicidal, anti-microbial). The growth experiments showed for the marine strain the highest cell density at 10 and 20 °C for the brackish water isolate (80 μmol ?photons m?2?s?1). Phytochemical screening of the biomass extracts gave positive results for alkaloids, flavonoids, sterols and terpenoids in some of the tested assays. Most of these compounds were not present in supernatant extracts. Besides proalgal and anti-cyanobacterial properties of the high temperature treated marine strain, the supernatant extracts showed profungal and antibacterial activities in the 20 °C treated assays. In both, supernatant and biomass extracts, significant anti-oxidative activities were observed in the high-irradiance-treated marine and brackish water isolates. The highest toxicity was observed at the 5 and 20 °C brackish water isolates as well as 5 °C treated marine strain. With regard to fatty acid composition, both strains showed high levels of polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) and saturated fatty acids, with values of 36–54 % and 11–29 % of total fatty acids, respectively, whereas the levels of monounsaturated fatty acids were in general lower (8–16 %). Among PUFAs, linoleic (C18:2), α-linoleic (C18:3), γ-linoleic (C18:3) and arachidonic acid (C20:4) accounted 36.2 % of the total polyunsaturated fatty acids in the brackish water strain, while in the marine isolate, it was only 10.6 %.  相似文献

Grass carp (Ctenopharyngodon idellus) eggs were activated by UV-irradiated diploid sperm of allotetraploid hybrids derived from red crucian carp (♀)?×?common carp (♂) and then duplicated by cold shock in 4-6°C water for 10-12 min. Different cold shock initiation times resulted in two types of diploid gynogenetic grass carp: meiotic gynogenetic (meiG) and mitotic gynogenetic (mitG). Over a 5-year period, a total of 17,170 meiG and 1,080 mitG fry were produced and 6,862 meiG and 372 mitG grass carp survived. The gynogenetic fish were confirmed by morphological characteristics, chromosome examination, and microsatellite DNA analysis. The morphological traits of the gynogenetic grass carp were similar to those of wild diploid grass carp. Normal gynogenetic fish were identified as diploid with 48 chromosomes by chromosomal metaphases examination, while nonviable abnormal embryos were detected as haploid with 24 chromosomes. Microsatellite DNA analysis indicated that after one generation of gynogenesis, the genetic purity of meiG and mitG grass carp was significantly increased over that of wild grass carp. In addition, both meiG and mitG grass carp groups were 100% female, and 88% of these showed normal ovary development. Thus, the sex determination mechanism in female grass carp was homogamety. The ability to establish pure all-female groups of meiG and mitG grass carp should be a valuable contribution to both fish genetics and grass carp breeding.  相似文献

1. Freshwater fish can affect aquatic vegetation directly by consuming macrophytes or indirectly by changing water quality. However, most fish in the temperate climate zone have an omnivorous diet. The impact of fish as aquatic herbivores in temperate climates therefore remains unclear and depends on their dietary flexibility. 2. We tested the effects of a flexible omnivore and an herbivore on aquatic vegetation by comparing the effects of rudd (Scardinius erythrophthalmus, the most herbivorous fish in temperate climates) with grass carp (Ctenopharyngodon idella) in a mesocosm pond study. Exclosures distinguished herbivorous effects of fish on submerged macrophytes from indirect effects through changes in water quality, whereas stable isotope food‐web analysis provided information on fish diets. 3. We hypothesised that rudd, with its flexible diet and preference for animal food items, would only indirectly affect macrophytes, whereas grass carp, with its inflexible herbivorous diet, would directly affect macrophyte biomass. 4. Only grass carp significantly reduced macrophyte biomass through consumption. Rudd had no effect. Food‐web analysis indicated that rudd predominantly consumed animal prey, whereas grass carp included more plants in their diet, although they also consumed animal prey. Grass carp significantly affected water quality, resulting in lowered pH and increased N‐NH4 concentrations, whereas more periphyton growth was observed in the presence of rudd. However, the indirect non‐herbivorous effects of both fish species had no effect on macrophyte biomass. 5. Both fish species should be considered as omnivores. Despite the fact that rudd is the most herbivorous fish in the western European climate zone, its effect on submerged macrophyte biomass is not substantial at natural densities and current temperatures.  相似文献

Effective behavioral deterrents are needed to prevent aquatic invasive species from entering novel ecosystems. One deterrent strategy that shows promise is elevated carbon dioxide (CO2) concentrations in water which can alter the behavior of freshwater fishes, including invasive bigheaded carps (Hypophthalmichthys spp.). However, few studies have evaluated behavioral responses to elevated CO2 concentrations at different water temperatures. The objective of this study was to quantify CO2 concentrations needed to achieve avoidance (voluntary response) and narcosis (involuntary response observed by loss of equilibrium) behaviors in silver carp (H. molitrix) and bighead carp (H. nobilis) at 5, 15, and 25 °C. Overall, silver carp and bighead carp displayed avoidance and narcosis behaviors to CO2 at each water temperature, however bighead carp responded at higher CO2 concentrations than silver carp. Behavioral avoidance and narcosis were observed at approximately 40% lower CO2 concentrations in 5 °C water relative to 25 °C suggesting considerable influence of water temperature on a CO2 stimulus for both species. Results indicate that fluctuating water temperature (e.g., spatial and temporal variation across management sites) can influence how fish respond to elevated CO2, and may usefully be considered when applying CO2 as a behavioral deterrent.  相似文献

Zooplankton abundance and diversity in Central Florida grass carp ponds   总被引:2,自引:2,他引:0  
The effect of the Asian grass carp (Ctenopharyngodon idella Val.) upon the zooplankton in three adjacent experimental ponds (0.139 ha each) was studied for one year. The ponds contained nine species of aquatic macrophytes. Grass carp were stocked into Pond 1 (65 per ha) and Pond 2 (611 per ha) three months after the study was started. At the time of stocking, physichochemical and biological parameters were similar among the ponds.Grass carp did not affect water quality and had little direct or indirect effect upon the zooplankton in the ponds. The abundance and species diversity of zooplankton (number of species, Shannon Index, and Simpson Index) were not significantly different (P < 0.05) between ponds prior to grass carp stocking. After stocking with grass carp, the number of species and species diversity were found to be significantly different (P < 0.05) between Pond 1 (low grass carp stocking rate) and Pond 2 (high grass carp stocking rate). Additionally, significant differences (P < 0.05) in populations between ponds were found for Lecane luna, Monostyla bulla, Lepadella ehrenbergii, Polyarthra sp., and Synchaeta sp. Temporal variation rather than grass carp was probably responsible for those differences. The number of zooplankton per group (Rotifera, Cladocera, and Copepoda) and species diversity were not significantly different (P<0.05) between ponds containing different stocking rates of grass carp.During the study, zooplankton were collected with a shallow-water sampler. No significant differences (P < 0.05) between collections were found for the sampler and a No. 20 mesh nylon zooplankton net.  相似文献

Because grass carp may feed selectively on water plants, additional conventional methods may be necessary for effective control of aquatic vegetation. For economic reasons aquatic herbicides are most likely to be used in conjunction with grass carp within an integrated aquatic weed control programme. The acutely lethal toxicities of ten herbicides to grass carp were measured. A preliminary evaluation of the risk to these fish showed that, when used at the recommended rate, the maximum herbicide concentration likely to be found in water should cause little harm to the fish, although attention should be given to the possible inhibition of feeding.  相似文献

This study aimed to evaluate the dietary lipid requirement and its effects on liver oxidative status and non-specific immune responses of juvenile grass carp (Ctenopharyngodon idella). Purified diets with five dietary lipid levels (0%, 2.5%, 5%, 7.5% and 10%, fish oil/corn oil = 1:1) were each fed to triplicate groups of grass carp (mean initial weight: 6.57 ± 0.01 g) in a recirculating rearing system maintained at 27.5 ± 0.5 °C for 10 weeks. Percent weight gain was highest (P < 0.05) with 5% lipid and lowest in fish fed the lipid free control diet. Feed efficiency (FE) and protein efficiency ratio (PER) in fish followed the same pattern of percent weight gain. Fish fed with lipid containing diets had better non-specific immune response indexes (e.g. phagocytic activity, plasma peroxidase and lysozyme activity) and low-level of liver oxidation status than fish fed with the control diet. But excess dietary lipid supplement would bring over metabolic burden to liver. After the feeding trial, fish were challenged by Aeromonas hydrophila. Fish fed control diet obtained significantly (P < 0.05) lower survival rate. The survival rate was highest with 7.5% lipid. The results of this study indicated that proper dietary lipid supplementation enhanced the immune response of grass carp and improved the survival rate in the bacterial challenge, but excess dietary lipid may elevate liver oxidation rates of grass carp. Analysis by second-order regression of percent weight gain indicated that the optimal dietary lipid level in juvenile grass carp (6.6–35.5 g) is about 6.5%.  相似文献

利用Miseq测序技术分析了黄颡鱼Pelteobagrus fulvidraco (Richardson)三种养殖模式[(黄颡鱼单养、黄颡鱼混养草鱼(Ctenopharyngodon idellus, Valenciennes)和黄颡鱼混养草鱼、鳙(Aristichthys nobilis, Richardson)、鲢(Hypophthalmichthys molitrix, Valenciennes)]下养殖水体及底泥微生物群落结构多样性。结果显示, 12个样本共获得了655100条合格16S rDNA序列, 每个样本获得的有效序列数目为41256—77508, 可归纳为608—3686个分类操作单元。α多样性指数结果表明, 在三种养殖模式下末期水体的微生物群落丰度和多样性均高于养殖初期, 黄颡鱼混养草鱼模式下水体的群落丰度最高(Chao1指数: 2199.25, ACE指数: 2374.60), 黄颡鱼混养草鱼、鲢、鳙模式下水体微生物群落多样性最高(Shannon指数: 4.88, Simpson指数: 0.021)。样本聚类分析及PcoA主坐标分析结果表明, 黄颡鱼单养及黄颡鱼、草鱼混养模式下的水体和底泥的菌群组成及群落结构相似性较高, 黄颡鱼、草鱼、鲢、鳙混养模式下样本单独形成一类。从门水平的比较分析发现, 所有样本检测到细菌有8门, 其中变形菌门(Proteobacteria)的物种丰度在所有样本中占绝对优势地位。放线菌门(Actinobacteria)在养殖末期升高成为水体中占比第二的优势门, 尤其是黄颡鱼混养草鱼模式下(37.6%)。黄颡鱼在单养模式下, 养殖末期水体拟杆菌门(Bacteroidetes)细菌含量均明显增加(1.95%到10.98%)。从属水平的比较分析发现, 各样本之间的优势属组成有较大差异, 其中黄颡鱼在单养模式下水体样本中气单胞菌属(Aeromonas)在养殖末期丰度占优势(5.81%)。从微生物群落结构和多样性的角度考虑, 黄颡鱼、草鱼、鲢、鳙混养是一种值得推荐的养殖模式。  相似文献

The hydrazinium reduction technique has so far been inapplicable to the determination of nitrate in brackish water and seawater due to interference from magnesium ions. We developed a pretreatment method for brackish water and seawater samples for the determination of nitrate based on the hydrazinium reduction technique. Magnesium ions in water samples were converted to a precipitate of a complex with oxine (8-quinolinol) at pH 9.5, and then the precipitate was centrifuged at 3000 rpm for 20 min. The extra oxine in the resulting sample (the supernatant liquid), which inhibits the reduction of nitrate to nitrite, was removed using a Sep-Pak C18 cartridge. Thus we achieved the preparation of a magnesium-free water sample. Using the hydrazinium reduction technique with the proposed pretreatment method, nitrate in brackish water and seawater as well as fresh water was quantitatively determined with high accuracy. Aquatic snakes of the family Acrochordidae are unusual in terms of appearance, biology, and natural history. In spite of many attractive and fascinating features, there are few zoological exhibits of acrochordid snakes, and as a result many aspects of their husbandry are poorly understood. The present paper summarizes aspects of acrochordid biology related to health and welfare of captive snakes, with emphasis on the little file snake, Acrochordus granulatus. Several key points emerge having crucial relevance to successful husbandry. (1) File snakes are sensitive to low temperatures and to rapid thermal change. Captive snakes do well when maintained at water temperatures of 27–30°C and will not thrive if water temperatures are below 25°C. (2) File snakes can be kept in either fresh water or seawater. Snakes in sea or brackish water dehydrate, however, and must be allowed to drink fresh water periodically. If snakes from marine populations are maintained in saline water, 60–70% seawater is recommended. In all cases, water should be filtered or changed periodically to maintain quality. (3) File snakes feed almost exclusively on fishes which are usually captured in body coils. Snakes are more inclined to feed well if live prey are offered in shallow water where they are more easily captured. (4) File snakes are nocturnal and prefer quiescent seclusion within darkened refugia during daylight hours. Providing snakes with refugia such as sections of PVC pipe (which simulate burrows) helps reduce stress and improves the chances of snakes feeding regularly. (5) Snakes tend to burrow, and they locomote by crawling as well as by swimming. Use of sharp or rough materials in aquaria should be avoided because of possible skin abrasion which increases permeability and provides sites for bacterial infection. © 1996 Wiley-Liss, Inc.  相似文献

草鱼雌核发育后代不同群体的微卫星遗传分析及指纹识别   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
以紫外线灭活的团头鲂精子激活草鱼卵子,冷休克抑制第二极体排出的方法诱导出长江水系优良F2代草鱼减数雌核发育子代。在后代中不仅存在雌核发育后代,还存在草鲂杂交后代,雌核发育后代的体型与草鱼一致,而草鲂杂交后代的体型介于草鱼与团头鲂之间。Partec CyFlow倍性分析仪测定结果显示:普通草鱼与雌核发育草鱼的相对DNA含量分别为23.01和22.72,二者的DNA含量接近;而高体型子代的相对DNA含量为25.38,介于草鱼与团头鲂(DNA含量28.21)之间,属于草鲂杂交后代。选取17个微卫星标记对草鱼群体、雌核发育草鱼群体和草鲂杂交后代的遗传多样性进行了检测,共检测出59个等位基因,其中43.18个有效等位基因。草鱼对照群体、草鲂杂交后代和雌核发育草鱼群体的平均等位基因依次为3.57、2.86和2.79,平均有效等位基因依次为2.93、2.37和1.96,平均期望杂合度在依次为0.6502、0.5573和0.3775,多态信息含量(PIC)平均值依次为0.5738、0.4649和0.3791。与草鱼对照群体相比,雌核发育草鱼群体的遗传多样性显著下降,表明通过减数雌核发育方法可获得纯合性较高的草鱼个体。构建了草鱼后代不同群体的DNA指纹模式图,筛选到不同群体的9个特异微卫星标记,为草鱼优良群体的选育提供了基础资料。  相似文献

The resistance to fresh water and seawater in three intertidal oribatid mite species from Bermuda, Alismobates inexpectatus, Fortuynia atlantica and Carinozetes bermudensis, was tested in laboratory experiments. Larvae are more sensitive to fresh and salt water, nymphs and adults showed equal tolerances. Fortuynia atlantica and A. inexpectatus were more resistant to salt water whereas C. bermudensis survived longer in fresh water. Differences in the resistance to fresh and salt water among the three species may be related to their different vertical occurrences in the eulittoral zone but also to the ability of single species to dwell in periodically brackish waters. In all three species half of the specimens survived at least 10 days in fresh water and more than 18 days in salt water. Maximal submersion time in fresh and salt water ranged from 40 to 143 days. Based on median lethal times it could be estimated that each species would be able to survive transport in seawater along the Gulf Stream over a distance of 3,000 km, from Central America to Bermuda. Thus hydrochorous dispersal should be assumed as the most likely mode of dispersal in intertidal fortuyniid and selenoribatid mites.  相似文献

为了探讨草鱼(Ctenopharyngodon idellus)在越冬期间能量利用的代谢适应机制, 将草鱼初始体重[(1053.33±16.11) g]置于室外水泥培育池, 分别在自然越冬饥饿0、1、2、4、8、12和16周后进行采样, 进行肌肉常规成分、血清能量代谢物、组织糖原、甘油三酯含量及AMP活化蛋白激酶和糖脂蛋白代谢相关基因转录水平的检测。结果显示: 越冬饥饿1周后, 草鱼肌肉各常规成分含量显著变化(P<0.05); 随着越冬饥饿时间的延长, 血清甘油三酯(TG)、甘油(Glycerol)、总蛋白(TP)、总胆固醇(TCHO)和血糖(GLU)含量先显著降低(P<0.05), 随后保持稳定, 游离脂肪酸(Free fatty acids)含量显著上升(P<0.05); 肝胰脏糖原和肌肉糖原及肝胰脏、肌肉和脂肪组织TG含量显著降低(P<0.05); 血清ATP、ADP和AMP含量显著降低, ADP+AMP/ATP比值显著升高(P<0.05); 肝胰脏、肌肉及腹腔脂肪ampk α1、ampk α2基因表达显著上升(P<0.05), 下游糖脂及蛋白代谢相关基因转录水平显著上升(包括atgl、hsl、cpt1α、cd36等脂分解相关基因; gk、pfk、pk等糖酵解相关基因; gldh、 igf-1等蛋白分解相关基因)或显著下调(acc、fas等脂合成相关基因; creb、foxo1、pgc-1α、pepck、g6pase、glut2等糖异生相关基因; tor、s6k等蛋白合成相关基因)(P<0.05)。研究表明, 草鱼在越冬饥饿期间, 血清、肝胰脏、肌肉和脂肪组织生化组成发生了上述变化的同时, 越冬饥饿胁迫激活了AMPK通路, 促进了各组织糖酵解、脂质分解、脂肪酸β氧化、脂肪酸转运及蛋白分解的进程, 抑制了糖原合成、脂质合成和蛋白合成的过程, 进而维持了机体能量稳态。  相似文献

Location and timing of Asian carp spawning in the Lower Missouri River   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
We sampled for eggs of Asian carps, (bighead carp Hypophthalmichthys nobilis, silver carp H. molitrix, and grass carp Ctenopharyngodon idella) in 12 sites on the Lower Missouri River and in six tributaries from the months of May through July 2005 and May through June 2006 to examine the spatial and temporal dynamics of spawning activity. We categorized eggs into thirty developmental stages, but usually they could not be identified to species. We estimated spawning times and locations based on developmental stage, temperature dependent rate of development and water velocity. Spawning rate was higher in the daytime between 05:00 and 21:00 h than at night. Spawning was not limited to a few sites, as has been reported for the Yangtze River, where these fishes are native, but more eggs were spawned in areas of high sinuosity. We employ a sediment transport model to estimate vertical egg concentration profiles and total egg fluxes during spawning periods on the Missouri River. We did not identify substantial spawning activity within tributaries or at tributary confluences examined in this study.  相似文献

SUMMARY.
  • 1 Four lakes in central Florida each received a different weed control treatment consisting of herbicide and/or different stocking ratios of grass carp (Ctenopharyngodon idella Val.).
  • 2 Submersed vegetation was eliminated by grass carp within 6 months In Lake Orienta and within 14 months in Clear Lake. Because Little Lake Fairview, treated with herbicide and a smaller stocking ratio of grass carp, retained abundant vegetation levels over the first two study years, grass carp which had been introduced initially were replaced with a greater number of fish at the beginning of the third year. Submersed vegetation was subsequently eliminated in this lake within LO months. Aquatic vegetation was reduced but not eliminated in Lake Mann which was treated with herbicide only.
  • 3 Where macrophytes were removed there tended to be increased bottom dissolved oxygen, higher and more stable total alkalinity values, increased turbidity, lowered transparency, higher specific conductivity and increased chlorophyll levels. Significant increases in pH were probably due to low water levels resulting from a severe drought rather than weed control. Low water also affected specific conductivity. Annual means for nutrients did not differ significantly between years in the four lakes.

Sperm of most fresh water teleosts become motile when released into the hypotonic fresh water environment, but the role of osmolality and Ca2+ on sperm motility is not clear. Osmotic pressure and Ca2+ concentrations increase from fresh water to brackish water. Java carp Puntius javanicus and catfish Clarias batrachus live and reproduce only in fresh water. On the other hand, goby Oxyeleotris marmorata can acclimate and reproduce from fresh water to brackish water. In the present study, sperm motility and trajectory were compared among these three Indonesian endemic species. Sperm of Java carp, goby, and catfish begun to move in the hypotonic condition (< 200 mOsm/kg). However, the response to Ca2+ was different among these teleosts. In the presence of Ca2+, Java carp sperm swam in circular paths and immediately become quiescent, suggesting that Java carp sperm motility is activated in hypotonic aquatic environment without Ca2+. Goby sperm swam straightforward in the presence or absence of Ca2+. Percentages of motile sperm increased in 100-200 mOsm/kg but suppressed by removal of Ca2+. Regarding sperm motility and trajectory, no response was found in catfish sperm. These results suggest that a response to Ca2+ is different among sperm of the three species and suited to their habitat.  相似文献

鱼体吸收水中的异生物质能迅速、大量地分配主胆囊。胆囊的功能好像一个强烈的生物浓集器,杂交鲫暴露在含PCP水溶液中48h,胆囊对五氯苯酚(PCP)的富集系数(BCF)高达11365.胆囊积累和排除PCP是随水温升高而增快的。草鱼胆汁内积累的PCP90%以上为结合态,并随暴露时间延长而增加,48h残留达到904mg/kg;BCF为6027.草鱼暴露在自来水和东湖水中48h,用气相色谱分析胆汁内的有机物分别为24和25个。这一结果说明了鱼胆汁可能用于监测水中某些异生物质。    相似文献
