Length–weight relationships (LWR) were estimated for seven fish species from the Napo River and its main tributaries, Arabela and Curaray rivers, Amazon basin, Peru. A total of 652 specimens were sampled between 2012 and 2014 using seines and gillnets. This study reports new maximum total length for four species and new LWR and maximum total weight records for three and five species, respectively.  相似文献

根据子囊果在寄主组织中的位置、生态学特性和松针上线纹有无等特点,将中国东北红松(Pinns koraiensis Sieb et Zucc.)上的散斑壳(Lophodermium Chev.)鉴定为5个种,其中2个新种:寄生散斑壳(Lophodermium parasiticum B. Z.He et Yang),大散斑壳(L.maximumB.Z.He et Yang);3个为我国新记录种:光亮散斑壳(L.nitens Darker)、偃松散斑壳(L.pini-pumilae Sawada)和乔松散斑壳(L.pini-excelsae Abmad)。引起红松落针病的病原菌主要是大散斑壳,其次是寄生散斑壳。  相似文献

Specimens were collected between 2004 and 2005 from the lower section of the Santa Lucía river basin (Uruguay). Aplanochytrium stocchinoi, a new species of Labyrinthulomycota, is described from samples collected in Antarctica. Ultrastructural, life cycle and molecular data characterizing the new taxon are provided and compared with the features of other species included in the genus Aplanochytrium. The phylogenetic position of A. stocchinoi is investigated using the 18S rDNA as molecular marker and applying maximum parsimony, minimum evolution and maximum likelihood methods.  相似文献

Grasses such as bamboos can produce upright stems more than 30 m tall, yet the processes that constrain plant height in this important group have never been investigated. Air embolisms form commonly in the water transport system of grasses and we hypothesised that root pressure-dependent refilling these embolisms should limit the maximum height of grass species to the magnitude of their root pressure. Confirming this hypothesis, we show that in 59 species of bamboo grown in two common gardens, the maximum heights of culms of 67 clones are closely predicted by the maximum measured root pressure overnight. Furthermore, we demonstrate that water transport in these bamboo species is dependent on root pressure to repair hydraulic dysfunction sustained during normal diurnal gas exchange. Our results established the critical importance of root pressure in the tallest grass species and provide a new basis for understanding the limits for plant growth.  相似文献

This work provides new length-weight information for seven species of freshwater fishes. The analyzed specimens were collected monthly during a year (April 2018–March 2019) in a coastal lagoon system and its associated streams in southern Uruguay. During each sampling campaign, fishes were captured using gillnets in the lagoon and electrofishing in the streams. This study reports a new maximum size for four species and the first length-weight relationship report for Gymnogeophagus terrapurpura. Length-weight estimates and their confidence intervals are provided for all species.  相似文献
