Phytochemical investigation of the fruit of Lycium barbarum L. has yielded nine alkaloids including one new compound, lycibarbarspermidine T together with eight known compounds. The structures were unambiguously determined by spectroscopic analyses and chemical methods. The chemophenetic significance of all these compounds was summarized. Among the known compounds, compounds 6 and 9 are reported from L. barbarum for the first time, whereas compounds 25 have previously been only found in this plant. The anti-inflammatory effects of all compounds were evaluated by measuring the NO production in RAW 264.7 cells stimulated by lipopolysaccharide (LPS). The results showed that compounds 13 and compounds 59 could inhibit the NO release of RAW 264.7 cells stimulated by LPS at 30 μM.  相似文献

The chemical investigation of the CH2Cl2/MeOH (1:1) extract of the trunk bark and leaves of Baphia leptobotrys Harms (Fabaceae) led to the isolation of nineteen compounds (1–19). Their structures were elucidated based on the analysis of their NMR and MS data. Except for compounds 35, 14 and 15, all the isolated compounds are reported from the genus Baphia for the first time. Furthermore, compounds 8, 10, 16, 17 are isolated from the Fabaceae family for the first time. The crude extract and isolated compounds were screened in vitro for their antileishmanial activity against Leishmania donovani 1S (MHOM/SD/62/1S) promastigotes and cytotoxicity towards Raw 264.7 macrophage cells. The crude extract of B. leptobotrys exhibited moderate activity (IC50 = 63.40 μg/mL). Amongst the tested compounds, ergosterol peroxide (9) and germanicol caffeoyl ester (8) exhibited good activity with IC50 values of 9.43 and 10.24 μM, respectively and showed acceptable selectivity towards macrophage cells (SI > 3.85). The chemophenetic significance of these compounds is also discussed.  相似文献

The chemical investigation of the CH2Cl2/MeOH (1:1) extract from the aerial part of Mussaenda erythrophylla Schumach. & Thonn. (Rubiaceae) resulted in the isolation of sixteen known compounds (116) distributed in coumarins, flavonoid glucosides, quinic acid derivatives, triterpenoids, monoglycerid, steroids, tetraterpenoid and polyol. The structures of the compounds were determined by spectrometric and spectroscopic analysis including MS and NMR data followed by their comparison with reported ones in the literature. The chemophenetic significance of the isolated compounds was discussed. The crude extract and some of the isolated compounds were assessed in vitro for their antileishmanial, cytotoxic and antiplasmodial activities. The crude extract of M. erythrophylla showed moderate antileishmanial activity (IC50 = 61.6 μg/mL) while the hexane soluble fraction showed good antileishmanial activity (IC50 = 31.06 μg/mL) compared to the reference drug amphotericin B (IC50 = 0.11 μM). Compounds 11 and 9 also exhibited potent antileishmanial activity (IC50 = 53.7–52.0 μM). The crude extract as well as the ethyl acetate soluble fraction also exhibited good antiplasmodial activity (IC50 = 7.43 ± 0.00 μg/mL and 14.49 ± 2.96 μg/mL respectively), while compounds 11, 15 and 16 showed weak activity with IC50 > 20 μM compared to the reference drug artemisinin (IC50 = 0.014 ± 0.001 μM).  相似文献

Two new ent-kaurane diterpenoids, 16α,17,19-trihydroxy-18-nor-ent-kauran-4β-ol (1) and 17-chloro-16β-hydroxy-ent-kauran-19-oic acid (2) were isolated from the whole plant of Wedelia trilobata, together with five known ones (37). Their structures were elucidated on the basis of extensive spectroscopic analyses, including NMR and MS techniques. Compound 1 is an 18-nor-ent-kaurane type diterpenoid which is rare in nature, and compound 2 is the first chlorine-containing ent-kaurane diterpenoid so far isolated from plant family of Asteraceae. Known compound 4 was obtained from the genus Wedelia for the first time. Compounds 46 selectively showed in vitro antibacterial activity against three assayed Gram-(+) bacteria, especially 5 and 6 which showed the antibacterial activity against Staphylococcus aureus with MIC values (3.125–6.25 μg/mL) comparable to reference compound Kanamycin (MIC 3.125 μg/mL). Compounds 46 further displayed significant antibacterial activity against Gram-(−) bacterium Shigella dysenteriae with MIC value 3.125–12.5 μg/mL.  相似文献

Phytochemical investigation of the stem bark of Ficus natalensis afforded eleven compounds including one ceramide (1), two anthraquinones (2, 3), four triterpenes (47), two polyols (8, 9) and two steroids (10, 11). The structures of the compounds were determined by spectroscopic analyses including IR, UV, MS, 1D- and 2D- NMR (1H, 13C, 1H–1H COSY, HMQC, HMBC and NOESY), as well as by comparison with literature data. The antibacterial activity and the cytotoxicity of the extract, fractions and some isolated compounds (3, 5, 8 and 9) were evaluated. Some fractions and sub-fractions from various column chromatography displayed moderate antibacterial activity with diameter zone of inhibition (DZI) ranging from 7 to 10 mm. None of the compounds tested had activity. In the present study, all the compounds are isolated for the first time from the species F. natalensis. Compounds 2, 47, 10 and 11 were previously reported from the genus Ficus. The chemophenetic significance of the isolated compounds is discussed.  相似文献

Two new ent-atisane-type diterpenoids (1 and 2), three new lathyrane-type diterpenoids (35), and seven known analogues (612) were isolated from Euphorbia antiquorum. The structures of these diterpenoids were established by analysis of their NMR, MS, and electronic circular dichroism data. The anti-inflammatory activities were evaluated biologically and compounds 1, 4, 7, 8, and 10 displayed strong NO inhibitory effects with IC50 values less than 40 μM. The potential anti-inflammatory mechanism was also investigated using molecular docking and Western blotting.  相似文献

Eleven compounds were isolated from the aerial blooming parts of Hypericum trichocaulon Boiss. & Heldr., a narrow endemic plant of the island of Crete (Greece). These compounds comprise one previously undescribed prenylated phloroglycinol derivative (adhyperfoliatin), together with ten known compounds, procyanidin A2, hyperixanthone A, (E)-chlorogenic acid, trans-phytol, five flavonoids, i.e. I3,II8-biapigenin, quercitrin, hyperoside, rutin, myricitrin and one fatty acid. The structures of the isolated compounds were established by means of 1D and 2D NMR, as well as MS spectral analyses. Phloroglucinol derivatives are recognized as chemophenetic markers for the genus Hypericum, and the isolation of adhyperfoliatin contributes to the characterization of the section Drosocarpium Spach, where the under-investigation taxon belongs. Moreover, the investigation of the methanol extract led to the isolation of myricitrin in high amounts, a specialized metabolite which also serves as a marker for this section.  相似文献

Phytochemical analysis of the aerial parts of Stachys candida Bory & Chaubard, growing wild in Greece led to the isolation of eleven bioactive secondary metabolites. Nine flavones, one of them methylated, one phenylethanoid glycoside and one phenolic acid were isolated from the methanol extract of this plant. The structure elucidation of the isolated compounds was achieved on the basis of NMR spectroscopy (1D and 2D spectra). The phytochemical profile was appeared to be similar with other Greek endemic Stachys species, while a strong difference was the absence of iridoids. Importantly, the chemotaxonomic significance of the isolated compounds has extensively been described.  相似文献

The present study is focused on the phytochemical analysis of the aerial parts of Symphytum anatolicum and Cynoglottis barrelieri (Boraginaceae). Their methanol extracts were subjected to qualitative LC-MS analysis, sixteen secondary metabolites have been identified from S. anatolicum and eighteen from C. barrelieri, respectively. Sixteen among all are phenolic derivatives (phenolic acids and flavonoids) and six belong to pyrrolizidine alkaloids (PAs) in the form of bases and/or N-oxides (PANOs). The observed chemical profiles are discussed chemotaxonomically as both species share the same tribe Boragineae. Caffeic acid and its derivatives together with quercetin- and kaempferol-glucosides were among the common metabolites, as they were identified in both studied plant species. Furthermore, their total phenolic and flavonoid contents were determined. Antioxidant capacity was evaluated by different chemical assays, together with their in vitro enzyme inhibitory properties towards cholinesterases (AChE and BChE), α-amylase and α-glucosidase. The results showed that C. barrelieri exhibited strong antioxidant activity, while S. anatolicum displayed good enzyme inhibitory effects contributing to a very interesting profile for further applications.  相似文献

Three new isopimarane-type diterpenoids, named callicapene M1 (1), callicapene M2 (2), and callicapene M3 (3), together with four known isopimarane-type diterpenoids (4, 5, 6, 7), were isolated from the Callicarpa macrophylla Vahl. Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic techniques (IR, UV, MS, 1D, 2D NMR). The isolated compounds 6 and 7 exhibited potent inhibitory activity with inhibition rates of 40.23–46.78% on NO production in LPS-activated RAW 264.7 macrophage cells by using MTT assays.  相似文献

Studies of microsporogenesis, pollen germination, pollen stainability, fruit and seed set and ovary predation have been undertaken to evaluate the fitness of the hybrid genotype of Phlomis x margaritae relative to its parents (P. purpurea and P. x composita) and allied taxa (P. x composita nothom. composita, P. x composita nothom. trulknqueiz , and P. lychnitis). Phlomis x margaritae shows irregular meiosis with very low pollen germination rate and very high pollen sterility, no seed set, and very high ovary predation. It thus has very low reproductive success and fitness. Phlomis x composita nothom. trullenquei also shows low pollen germination and seed set, but these follow regular microsporogenesis. The existence of cryptic structural sterility is suggested for this taxon. The rest of the studied taxa (P. purpurea, P. lychnitis and P. x composita nothom. composita) were fertile and can support the specific or subspecific taxonomic status of P. x composita. A fixed ovule abortion pattern in the taxa with yellow flowers was found, since 'brood size' consisted just of one seed per fruit. On the contrary, P. purpurea was found to produce from one to four seeds per fruit. Some conservation implications are suggested.  相似文献

Bio-assay guided fractionation of an acetone extract of leaf material from Plectranthus saccatus Benth. resulted in the isolation of a beyerane diterpenoid. This compound, characterised by spectroscopic methods as ent-3beta-(3-methyl-2-butenoyl)oxy-15-beyeren-19-oic acid, showed insect antifeedant activity against Spodoptera littoralis. Known quinonoid abietane diterpenoids obtained from new sources included a mixture of the (4R,19R) and (4R,19S) diastereoisomers of coleon A from P. aff. puberulentus J.K. Morton, coleon A lactone from P. puberulentus J.K. Morton, and coleon U and coleon U quinone from P. forsteri 'Marginatus' Benth. These compounds, and the crude acetone extracts from the leaf surfaces of 11 species of Plectranthus, were tested for antifeedant activity against S. littoralis, antibacterial activity against Bacillus subtilis and Pseudomonas syringae and antifungal activity against Cladosporium herbarum. The coleon A mixture showed potent antifeedant activity against S. littoralis, whereas coleon U showed the greatest antimicrobial activity.  相似文献

The clerodane diterpenoid salvinorin A (1), the main active component of the psychotropic herb Salvia divinorum, has been reported to be a potent agonist at the kappa-opioid receptor. Computer modeling suggested that splendidin (2) from S. splendens, as well as related compounds, might possess similar activities. In the present study, this hypothesis was tested by determination of the binding properties of a series of structural congeners, compounds 2-8, at the mu-, delta-, and kappa-opioid receptors. However, none of these compounds showed significant binding to any of the opioid-receptor subtypes, thus disproving the above hypothesis. The novel compounds 7 and 8 were obtained semi-synthetically by selective modification of salvifarin (5), isolated from Salvia farinacea, upon epoxide-ring opening with AcOH in the presence of indium(III) triflate. Also, the X-ray crystal structure of salvifaricin (6; Fig.), obtained from S. farinacea, was determined for the first time and used, in combination with in-depth NMR experiments, to elucidate the absolute configurations of the new products. Our experiments demonstrate that the relatively well-accessible diterpenoid 6 could be used as starting material for future studies into the structure-activity relationship at the kappa-opioid receptor.  相似文献

The phytochemical investigation on Tanacetum sinaicum (Fresen.) Delile ex Bremer & Humphries led to the isolation of eight flavonoid aglycones (apigenin 1, acacetin 2, luteolin 3, chrysoeriol 4, cirsilineol 5, jaceidin 6, chrysosplenetin 7 and vitexicarpin; casticin 8), four flavonoid glycosides (apigenin 7-O-β-glucopyranoside 9, apigenin 7-O-β-glucuronide 10, luteolin 7-O-β-glucopyranoside 11 and luteolin 7-O-β-glucuronide 12) and three phenolics (4-hydroxy-3-methoxy benzoic acid 13, 3,4-dimethoxy benzoic acid 14 and 4-hydroxy acetophenone 15). Their structures were determined by chemical and spectroscopic analysis. Among them, compounds 1–3, 9, 11, 13 and 14 were reported for the first time from T. sinaicum. The chemotaxonomic significance of the isolated flavonoids was also summarized.  相似文献
