Phytochemical study of the ethanol extract of the twigs of Eriosema robustum, a Cameroonian medicinal plant resulted to the isolation of two new flavones, 2′,3′,5′,5,7-pentahydroxy-3,4′-dimethoxyflavone (1) and 2′,3,5′,5,7-pentahydroxy-4′-methoxyflavone (2), along with five known compounds: 6-prenylpinocembrin (3), 1-O-heptatriacontanoyl glycerol (4), β-sitosterol (5), stigmasterol (6) and 3-O-β-d-glucopyranoside of sitosterol (7). The structure of the isolated compounds were elucidated on the basis of their NMR, UV and MS data, and by comparison with those reported in the literature. The ethanol crude extract, fractions and some isolated compounds (14) were evaluated for their radical scavenging capacity using 2,2-diphenyl-1-picryhydrazyl (DPPH). The crude extract, fraction II, the new compounds namely robusflavones A (1) and B (2) exhibited significant antioxidant activity.  相似文献

The phytochemical investigation of roots of Duguetia furfuracea (A. St.-Hil.) Saff. (Annonaceae) led to the isolation of α-asarone (1), asaraldehyde (2), staudine (3) and a mixture of β-sitosterol 3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (4) and stigmasterol 3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (5). Structure elucidation of these compounds was performed on the basis of NMR spectral data and MS. Chemotaxonomic significance of (3) was explained.  相似文献

The chemical investigation of the CH2Cl2/MeOH (1:1) extract of the leaves of Rothmannia hispida (K. Schum.) Fagerl. (Rubiaceae) led to the isolation of a new ceramide rothmanniamide (1) and a naturally isolated alkyl cinnamate derivative n-heptadecyl-4-hydroxy-trans-cinnamate (2), along with fifteen known compounds including lupeol palmitate (3), lupeol (4), a mixture of uvaol (5) and erythrodiol (6), ursolic acid (7), 30-nor-2α,3β-dihydroxyurs-12-ene (8), hederagenin (9), stigmast-22-en-3-ol (10), a mixture of β-sitosterol (11) and stigmasterol (12), stigmast-4,22-dien-3-ol (13), stigmasterol 3-O-β-D-glucoside (14), triacontan-1-ol (15), kaempferol 3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (16) and D-mannitol (17). Their structures were elucidated with the help of MS and NMR data. Compounds 8, 10 and 15 were isolated for the first time from the Rubiaceae family. The crude extract and the isolates were assessed in vitro for their antileishmanial activity against Leishmania donovani 1 S (MHOM/SD/62/1 S) promastigotes and cytotoxicity on RAW 264.7 macrophage cells. Compounds 7 and 8 exhibited a highly potent antileishmanial activity with IC50 values of 0.88 and 1.75 μg/mL, respectively, with good selectivity indexes (SI > 57). The chemophenetic significance of these compounds is also discussed.  相似文献

The chemical study of the stems extract of Psychotria arborea Hiern led to the isolation of thirteen compounds, including four anthraquinones: 2-methylanthracene-9,10-dione (1), 2-methoxyanthracene-9,10-dione (2), 2-hydroxy-3-methylanthracene-9,10-dione (3) and 3-hydroxy-1-methoxy-2-methylanthracene-9,10-dione (4); two diterpenes: ent-kaur-16-en-19-oic acid (5) and 15-acetoxy-ent-kaur-16-en-19-oic acid (6); two triterpenes, β-amyrin (8) and oleanolic acid (9), one flavonoid: Quercetin (7), three sterols: A mixture of stigmasterol (10) and β-sitosterol (11) and β-sitosterol-3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (12) and one fatty acid (13). The structures of these compounds were elucidated based on NMR and HR-ESIMS analysis, further supported by comparison with previously reported spectral data. Compounds 14 and compounds 1012 were tested for their antibacterial activity against three bacteria strains Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus and Salmonella enterica. All these tested compounds were found to be inactive. Furthermore, the chemotaxonomic significance of the obtained compounds was discussed in detail.  相似文献

The chemical investigation of the roots of Vernonia guineensis Benth. (Asteraceae) resulted in the isolation of a new ceramide, named vernoguinamide (1), together with fifteen known compounds, including three anthraquinones, physion (2), erythroglaucin (3) and emodin (4), three triterpenoids, hop-17(21)-en-3β-yl acetate (5), lupeol (6) and betulinic acid (7), six steroids, vernoguinoside A (8), vernoguinoside (9), β-sitosterol 3-O-β-D-glucoside (10), stigmasterol 3-O-β-D-glucoside (11), stigmasterol (12) and β-sitosterol (13) and three fatty acid derivatives, tetracosanoic acid (14), tricosanic acid (15) and arachidic acid glycerol ester (16). The structure of the new compound as well as those of the known compounds were established by spectrometric analysis including HRESI-MS, 1D and 2D-NMR and by comparison with the previously reported data. Among these compounds, the anthraquinones 24 and the triterpene 5 were isolated for the first time from Vernonia genus and compounds 6, 7 and 1416 were extracted for the first time from the species. The isolated compounds were tested for their antibacterial activity and 3, 8 and 9 were the most active compounds against the tested bacteria. Furthermore, the chemophenetic relationships of the isolated compounds and their significance were also discussed.  相似文献

The phytochemical study was done on the leaves of Gambeya lacourtiana. This plant has been used in traditional medicine to treat of different ailments such as uterine heamorrhage, metritis and other vaginal infections. Chromatographic fractionation and purification on the leaves crude extract afforded lupeol acetate (1), lupenone (2), lupeol (3), taraxerol (4) stigmasterol (5), erythrodiol (6), chamaedrydiol (7), methyl pheophorbide-a (8), corosolic acid (9), tormentic acid (10), epicatechin (11) and 22-dihydrospinasterol 3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (12). The structures of compounds 112 were elucidated on the basis of 1D and 2D NMR, mass spectrometric and the spectroscopic data as well as comparison with the literature. Compounds 4, 710 and 12 were isolated for the first time from Gambeya genus. Crude extract, fractions and compounds 6–12 were evaluated for their antibacterial activity. Methyl pheophorbide-a (8) demonstrated moderate activity against Salmonella typhi CPC with MIC values of 62.5 μg/mL. The chemophenetic significance of these compounds is also discussed.  相似文献

Phytochemical investigation of the roots of Desmodium salicifolium led to the isolation of two new compounds (Desmoflavanone A: 5,2',4'-trihydroxy-4'',4''-dimethyl-2H-dihydropyranoisoflavanone (1) and desmodioside A: (22R)-3β,22,23-trihydroxyolean-12-en-3-O-α- L-rhamnopyranosyl-(1→2)-β-D-glucopyranosyl-(1→2)-β-D-glucuronopyranoside (2)) together with nine known secondary metabolites including kaikasaponin III (3), spinosin (4), isovitexin (5), β-sitosterol 3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (6), neorautenol (7), kaempferol (8), oleanolic acid (9), betulinic acid (10), and lupeol (11). The structures of these compounds were elucidated mainly by extensive spectroscopic analysis, particularly 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopy, electrospray ionization-mass spectrometry and by comparison of their spectroscopic data with those of related compounds reported in the literature. The methanolic extract, EtOAc and n-BuOH fractions as well as some isolated compounds were assessed for their antifungal activities against two fungi using microdilution method. The methanolic extract displayed weak activity against Candida albicans (MIC = 512 µg/mL). The EtOAc fraction also exhibited weak inhibitory effect with MIC of 256 µg/mL against Candida albicans and Candida glabrata. Compound 3 showed moderate effect against Candida glabrata with MIC value of 16 µg/mL while 1 was inactive against both fungi.  相似文献

This work reports isolation of an unusual lignan with a bicyclic [2.2.2] octene skeleton, named rufescenolide (1), from stems of Cordia rufescens, along with β-sitosterol, stigmasterol, syringaldehyde, 3-β-O-d-glucopyranosyl-sitosterol, methyl caffeate, 4-methoxy-protocatechuic acid and methyl rosmarinate. Two new phenolic acid glycosides, parmentins A (1) and B (2) were isolated from the methanolic extract of the leaves and stems of candle tree (Parmentiera cereifera Seem). These compounds were accompanied by a mixture of β-sitosterol and stigmasterol (3), β-sitosterol glucoside (4), isovanillic acid (5), vanillic acid (6), and p-hydroxybenzoic acid (7). The structures of the isolated compounds were determined on the basis of physical and spectroscopic analyses, including 1D and 2D NMR (1H, 13C, COSY, HSQC and HMBC) and mass spectrometry (HR-ESI-MS).  相似文献

Two furanocoumarin derivatives, 3-methoxypsoralen (1) and 3,5-dimethoxypsoralen (2), along with nine known compounds, friedelinol (3), 3-oxo-11β-hydroxyoleanan-12-ene (4), lupeol (5), taraxer-3-one (6), a mixture of β-sitosterone (7a) and stigmast-4,22-dien-3-one (7b), ergosterol (8), 9,19-cyclolanost-3-one-24,25-diol (9), oleanan-12-ene-3,11-dione (10), and β-sitosterol 3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (11) were isolated from the twigs of Ficus chlamydocarpa. Their structures were established by NMR spectroscopic analyses and HRESIMS. The structure of 1 was further confirmed from its single crystal X-ray diffraction. The crude extract, fractions and some isolated compounds were assessed for their preliminary antibacterial activity and cytotoxicity. One of the fractions (FB-B3) exhibited inhibition against the bacterial strain Pseudomonas agarici and induced a remarkable cytotoxic activity toward the human cervix carcinoma cell line KB-3-1 (IC50 0.166 mg/mL), and compounds 1, 6, and 7 showed moderate antibacterial activity against Bacillus subtilis and Micrococcus luteus.  相似文献

The chemical investigation of the roots of Eremomastax speciosa (Hochst.) Cufod (Acanthaceae). led to the isolation of thirteen compounds including five anthraquinones 1,8-dihydroxy-3-methylanthraquinone (1), 1,8-dihydroxy-3-methoxy-6-methylanthraquinone (2), emodin (3), aloe emodin (4) and 8-O-D-glucopyranosideemodin (5); one phenylethanoid glucoside acteoside (6); one benzophenone 2,6-dimethoxybenzophenone (7); two pentacyclic triterpenoids lupeol (8) and betulinic acid (9); three phytosterols stigmasterol (10), β-sitosterol (11), and β-sitosterol-3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (12) and one fatty acid hexadecanoid acid (13). All these compounds are firstly reported from the roots of E. speciosa. Emodin and acteoside were modified chemically through allylation reaction to afford 3-O-allylated emodin (3a) and a new perallylated acteoside derivative (6a), respectively. The structure of the isolated compounds as well as those of the allylated derivatives were established by means of spectroscopic methods: NMR analysis (1H and 13C NMR, 1H–1H–COSY, HSQC and HMBC), high-resolution mass spectrometry (HR-ESI-MS) and by comparison with previously reported data. All those compounds were tested for their cytotoxic activity against the human cervix carcinoma KB-3-1 cells and their antioxidant activity, the allylated acteoside derivative and 2,6-dimethoxybenzophenone showed weak cytotoxicity while acteoside showed a good antioxidant activity. In addition, the chemotaxonomic significance of the isolated compound is discussed.  相似文献

A 70% ethanol extract from the roots of Livistona chinensis has been investigated, led to the isolation of 18 compounds, including two new 6′-O-acyl-β-d-glucosyl-β-sitosterols, 6′-O-(2″-hydroxyheptadecanoyl)-β-d-glucosyl-β-sitosterol (1) and 6′-O-(icosa-9″Z,12″Z-dienoyl)-β-d-glucosyl-β-sitosterol (2), two new keto esters, ethyl 16-(dodeca-4″′Z,7″′Z-dienyl)-29-oxo-15-(tetradeca-5″Z,8″Z,11″Z-trienyl) triacontanoate (7), and 16-hydroxy-8-oxohexadecyl tetradecanoate (9), a new unsaturated fatty acid, tetracosa-(11Z,14Z,18Z)-trienoic acid (8), as well as a new fatty alcohol, 10-decylnonadecane-1,19-diol (10). The structures of new compounds were elucidated, based on spectroscopic and chemical methods. The antiproliferative activity against four human tumor cell lines (K562, HL-60, HepG2, and CNE-1) was evaluated. Four compounds (13, 5) showed potent antiproliferative effects with the IC50 of 10–100 μM. To our knowledge, this is the first report of the occurrence of 6′-O-acyl-β-d-glucosyl-β-sitosterol and 3-O-acyl-β-sitosterol in the genus Livistona. Keto fatty acids and their esters are also rare in higher plant.  相似文献

Phytochemical investigation of the non-polar extract of Clusia burle-marxii led to the identification of a new steroid (1), along with friedelinol (2), β-sitosterol (3), friedelin (4), stigmast-5-en-3β,7β-diol (5), stigmast-5-en-3β,7α-diol (6), stigmasterol (7), sitostenone (8), betulinic acid (9), butyrospermol (10), euphol (11), betulin aldehyde (12), 2,2-dimethyl-5-hydroxy-7-phenyl-chromane (13), 6-deoxyisojacareubin (14), padiaxanthone (15) and betulonic acid (16). This is the first report of the identification of compounds 5, 6 and 10 in the family, the first report of compounds 14 and 15 in the genus, and the first report of compounds 2, 3, 7, 8, 12, 16 in the species. Phytochemical study of Machaerium brasiliense leaves extract afforded three hopane triterpenes 3,4-seco-21β-H-hop-22 (29)-en-3-oic acid (1), hopenone B (2), hopene B (3). In addition, lupeol (4), stigmasterol (5), β-sitosterol (6), daucosterol (7), uracil (8), allantoin (9) and trans-4-hydroxy-N-methylproline (10) were isolated. The structures of these compounds were established based on spectroscopic data in comparison to those described in literature. Considering the chemotaxonomic relevance of the isolated compounds, this is the first report of triterpenes 1, 2 and 3 in Fabaceae family and compounds 7, 8 and 9 in the genus Machaerium. Besides, preliminary screening on antiproliferative and antioxidant activities was performed for MBEB and its fractions.  相似文献

The chemical investigation of the ethanolic extract from the leaves of Persea caerulea led to the isolation of flavonoids, coumarins and three steroidal type compounds. Based on ESI-MS, UV, IR, GC-MS and 1H and 13C NMR data analysis, the structures of ten isolated compounds were identified as: quercetin (1), kaempferide-3-O-α-l-rhamnopyranoside (2), kaempferol-3-O-α-l-arabinofuranoside (3), quercetin-3-O-α-l-rhamnopyranoside (4), quercetin-3-O-β-glucoside (5), scopoletin (6), isofraxidin (7) campesterol (8), stigmasterol (9) and β-sitosterol (10). Two new long-chain secobutanolides, illigerones A (1) and B (2), together with five known compounds, actinodaphnine (3), cryptodorine (4), β-sitosterol (5), daucosterol (6), and stigmasterol (7) were isolated from Illigera henryi W. W. Sm. The structures of 1 and 2 were identified by HRESIMS, EIMS, 1D/2D NMR, and electronic circular dichroism (ECD) spectra. Compound 1 exhibited the moderate cytotoxic activities against five tumour cells. This is the first report of secobutanolides isolated from plants of Hernandiaceae.  相似文献

A new tropane alkaloid, named the 7β-acetoxy-3β,6β-dibenzoyloxytropane (1), was isolated from a methanol extract of Erythroxylum rimosum O.E. Schulz leaves. Other known compounds were detected, including quercetin, kaempferol-3-O-α-l-arabinofuranoside, (+)-catechin, epicatechin, quercetin-3-O-α-arabinofuranoside, quercetin-3-O-α-arabinopyranoside, quercetin-3-O-β-arabinopyranoside, quercetin-3-β-glucopyranoside, kaempferol, quercetin-3-O-β-galactopyranoside, β-sitosterol, α-amyrin, β-amyrin, and the ester derivatives of these two amyrins. Compound 1 exhibited weak inhibition of acetylcholinesterase. Structural identification was performed using IR, ESIHRMS and one- and two-dimensional NMR data analyses and confirmed by comparison with literature data.  相似文献

Two new 19α-hydroxyursane-type triterpenes, 2α,3α,19α,24,28-pentahydroxyurs-12-ene (1) and meyanthic acid, 3β-acetoxy-2β,19α,23-trihydroxyurs-12-en-28-oic acid (2) along with one new aliphatic ester, myricyl pentadecanoate (3) and five known compounds, 19α-hydroxyasiatic acid (4), oleanolic acid (5), myricyl alcohol (6), β-sitosterol (7) and its glycoside (8) were isolated from the methanolic leaf extract of Meyna spinosa Roxb. ex Link (= Vangueria spinosa Roxb., Rubiaceae). The structures of the new compounds were elucidated on the basis of extensive spectroscopic (including 2D NMR) analysis and comparison with literature. Except oleanolic acid, isolation of known compounds was reported for the first time from this plant.  相似文献

A bioassay guided isolation of potential antimalarial molecules from the stem bark of Caesalpinia volkensii Harms (Fabaceae) achieved three new 11-oxocassane-type diterpenoids named voulkensin C (1), D (2) and E (3) together with one steroid glycoside named 3-O-[β-glucopyranosyl(1→2)-O-β-xylopyranosyl]-stigmasterol (4) and seven other known compounds including stigmasterol (5), β-sitosterol (6), oleanolic acid (7), 3-β-acetoxyolean-12-en-28-methyl ester (8), voucap-5-ol (9), caesadekarin C (10), deoxycaesaldekarin C (11). The structures of the new compounds were determined on the basis of extensive spectroscopic data (IR, MS, 1H and 13C NMR and 2D NMR) analyses. The polar extracts revealed moderate to good antiplasmodial activities against chloquine-sensitive (D6) and -resistant strains (W2) of Plasmodium falciparum. Whereas the pure isolates exhibited limited to moderate antiplasmodial activities with compound 4 showing the highest antiplasmodial activities (IC50 values of 4.44 ± 0.88 and 2.74 ± 1.10 μM against D6 and W2 strains, respectively). These results suggest a possible contribution of phytochemicals from C. volkensii stem bark towards inhibition of plasmodial parasites’ growth hence potential antimalarial.  相似文献

Phytochemical investigation on the leaves of Labisia pumila (Myrsinaceae), an important medicinal herb in Malaysia, has led to the isolation of 1-O-methyl-6-acetoxy-5-(pentadec-10Z-enyl)resorcinol (1), labisiaquinone A (2) and labisiaquinone B (3). Along with these, 16 known compounds including 1-O-methyl-6-acetoxy-5-pentadecylresorcinol (4), 5-(pentadec-10Z-enyl)resorcinol (5), 5-(pentadecyl)resorcinol (6), (−)-loliolide (7), stigmasterol (8), 4-hydroxyphenylethylamine (9), 3,4,5-trihydroxybenzoic acid (10), 3,4-dihydroxybenzoic acid (11), (+)-catechin (12), (−)-epicatechin (13), kaempferol-3-O-α-rhamnopyranosyl-7-O-β-glycopyranoside (14), kaempferol-4′-O-β-glycopyranoside (15), quercetin-3-O-α-rhamnopyranoside (16), kaempferol-3-O-α-rhamnopyranoside (17), (9Z,12Z)-octadeca-9,12-dienoic acid (18) and stigmasterol-3-O-β-glycopyranoside (19) were also isolated. The structures of these compounds were established on the basis of 1D and 2D NMR spectroscopy techniques (1H, 13C, COSY, HSQC, NOESY and HMBC experiments), mass spectrometry and chemical derivatization. Among the constituents tested 1 and 4 exhibited strongest cytotoxic activity against the PC3, HCT116 and MCF-7 cell lines (IC50 values ⩽10 μM), and they showed selectivity towards the first two-cell lines relative to the last one.  相似文献
