Purpose  

The goal of this paper is to describe the life cycle inventory (LCI) approach to steel produced by ArcelorMittal’s Basic Oxygen Furnace (AMBOF) in Kraków, Poland. The present LCI is representative for the reference year 2005 by application of PN-EN ISO 14040:2009 (PN-EN ISO 2009). The system boundaries were labeled as gate-to-gate (covering a full chain process of steel production). The background input and output data from the basic oxygen furnace (BOF) steelmaking process has been inventoried as follows: pig iron, scrap, slag forming materials (CaO), ferroalloys, Al, carbon and graphite carburizer (material for carburization of steel), isolating powder, consumption of energy and fuels including natural gas, blast furnace gas and coke oven gas, electric energy, steam, air, oxygen, industrial water and heat, emission of air pollutants, waste, internal transport and land use.  相似文献

ThreeFusarium species:F. graminearum, F. culmorum andF. cerealis were identified in laboratory cultures and in sporodochia from spikelets of scabby wheat. SCAR (sequence characterized amplified region) primers were used to identifyFusarium species and nivalenol (NIV) and deoxynivalenol (DON) chemotypes within species in laboratory cultures and field collected heads harvested in 2006. Results from PCR analyses confirmed preliminary identifications of species on the basis of examination of macroconidia under a light microscope and identification of cultures on agar media. NIV and DON (3Ac-DON and 15Ac-DON) chemotypes were identified using PCR assay. Among samples and isolates ofF. graminearum, the 15Ac-DON chemotype dominated, and among those whereF. culmorum was identified, the 3Ac-DON chemotype prevailed. Only 5 of the 41 isolates ofF. graminearum tested, displayed the NIV chemotype. An increase in the frequency ofF. graminearum and a decrease in the frequency ofF. culmorum were found during 1998 to 2006.  相似文献

The introduction of pertussis vaccination in the 1950s resulted in a significant decrease in the incidence of disease. However, since the 1990s many highly vaccinated countries have observed the re-emergence of the disease. One of the causes of this phenomenon might be related to the adaptation of Bordetella pertussis to vaccination. The purpose of the presented study was an investigation of the emergence and spread of vaccine antigen-deficient B. pertussis isolates in Poland and genomic characterization of the currently circulating pathogen population using PFGE, MLVA and MAST. The results revealed that all tested isolates expressed Ptx, FHA and ACT antigens but 15.4% (4/26) of isolates from 2010 to 2016 were Prn-deficient. Moreover, one TcfA-deficient isolate was collected in 2015. The genotyping showed a genetic distinction between the isolates circulating in 2010–2016 and isolates from previous periods. The majority of currently circulating isolates belonged to PFGE group IV (96.2%), type MT27 (73.1%), and carried ptxA1-ptxC2-ptxP3-prn2-tcfA2-fim2-1-fim3-1 alleles (61.5%). The unique genetic structure of the B. pertussis population in Poland has changed since 2010 and became similar to that observed in countries with aP vaccination. This could be a result of increasing use of aP vaccines (60% of primary vaccination in 2013) over wP vaccines, which have been broadly used for primary vaccination in Poland for decades.  相似文献
