Evoked responses in CA3 area to the mossy fibers stimulation were studied after low and high frequency tetanizations of the perforant path. Stimulations of perforant path with 10 and 100 Hz frequencies inducted depression testing through the same path. Subthreshold for potentiation of the mossy fibers inputs to the CA3 tetanization of the perforant path with 10 Hz frequency transformed to threshold one after previous tetanization of the perforant path with 100 Hz frequency. Tetanization of the mossy inputs to the CA3 with 10 Hz frequency leaded to potentiation whereas tetanization with frequency 100 Hz depressed the same inputs. High frequency tetanizations (100 Hz) of the perforant path with theta-rithm frequency stimulation basically depressed of the CA3 evoked responces to the mossy fiber stimulation.  相似文献

Simultaneous stimulation of the parasympathetic and sympathetic nerves to the parotid gland of rats elicited saliva at a rate dependent on the frequency of sympathetic stimulation when parasympathetic frequency was maintained at 16 Hz. The flow rate was lowest at 2 Hz (sympathetic), moderate at 5 Hz, and highest at 16 Hz. Cl concentration of the saliva evoked with stimulation of both nerves was highest at the highest frequency and flow rate (maintained at the level of 102 mEq/liter, for 35 min) and lowest at 2 Hz (declining from 40 mEq/liter initially to 28 mEq/liter). With sympathetic nerve stimulation alone, Cl concentration ranged from 27 to 58 mEq/liter when frequency was varied from 2 to 16 Hz, and with parasympathetic stimulation alone (16 Hz), it ranged from 132 to 124 mEq/liter. Amylase concentration of sympathetically elicited saliva was, in contrast, highest at 2 Hz (1.5 times the level at 5 Hz, and twice the level at 16 Hz), and nearly 18-38 times that seen with parasympathetic stimulation alone. The same pattern was found when both nerves were stimulated, and at 2 Hz (sympathetic), amylase concentration was 1.6 times the level at 5 Hz and 2.6 times the level at 16 Hz. When the two nerves were simultaneously stimulated, the total amount of amylase secreted over 35 min was twice as high as that observed with sympathetic nerve stimulation alone, at any frequency. The relation of frequency to norepinephrine concentration was examined. There was no consistent difference in norepinephrine concentration related to variation in frequency of sympathetic stimulation. Only when both nerves were stimulated at 16 Hz was there a statistically significant reduction in norepinephrine concentration of 46%. A relation between frequency of sympathetic stimulation, flow rate, amylase concentration, and Cl concentration was established, but these changes could not be directly correlated with quantitative differences in norepinephrine concentration.  相似文献

Four squirrel monkeys (Saimiri sciureus) were tested for their frequency discrimination capacity using an eyeblink classical conditioning procedure, with air puff against the eye as unconditioned stimulus and 600-ms pure tones as conditioned stimuli. Absolute frequency difference thresholds showed a minimum (20-41 Hz, mean 30 Hz) at 4,000-8,000 Hz and increased towards higher as well as lower frequencies (70-90 Hz, mean 80 Hz at 300 Hz; 44-120 Hz, mean 82 Hz at 16,000 Hz). Relative frequency difference thresholds increased from higher to lower frequencies, with values as low as 0.3-0.8% (mean 0.5%) at 16,000 Hz and as large as 24-30% (mean 27%) at 300 Hz. The squirrel monkey's frequency discrimination function thus shows a severe deviation from Weber's law. The frequency difference thresholds are comparable to human's in the 4,000-8,000 Hz range, but are 65-80 times higher in the 500- to 300-Hz range. Individuals with high auditory thresholds do not necessarily also have high frequency difference thresholds.  相似文献

The effect of continuous stimulation of splanchnic nerves at 1, 3, and 10 Hz on the secretion of catecholamines from the isolated rat adrenal gland was examined. Secretion evoked at 10 Hz declined over 60% in 1 h, and by the end of 4 h the secretion was only 10% of the initial value. The secretion evoked at 3 Hz was unchanged in the first hour, but showed a gradual decline in subsequent hours. In contrast, secretion evoked at 1 Hz was well maintained for several hours. Even after 6 h of continuous stimulation, the decline was only about 35%. Atropine plus hexamethonium reduced the secretion evoked at 10 Hz by over 80%, but that evoked at 1 Hz was reduced by about 35%; addition of naloxone reduced it to 75%. When the secretion declined to very low levels after continuous stimulation at 10 Hz for 100 min, a change in frequency to 3 Hz or 1 Hz caused a sharp rebound in the secretory response. Returning the frequency back to 10 Hz led to a sharp drop in the secretion, whereas reducing the frequency to 1 or 3 Hz once again increased the secretion. The rebound in the secretory response after switchover of frequencies was observed in the presence of atropine plus hexamethonium, but was abolished by naloxone. Extensive stimulations, which caused large amounts of catecholamine secretions at each frequency, were not associated with any loss in tissue catecholamine contents. The major conclusion is that secretion of catecholamines is maintained uninterrupted for several hours when splanchnic nerves are stimulated at low frequency.(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 250 WORDS)  相似文献

前期研究发现,50 Hz弱磁场辐照能明显降低细胞的微丝含量和组装效率,对actin骨架形态也有明显影响.电磁生物学效应是否与辐照场频率相关,一直受到研究者的关注.单体球状肌动蛋白(G-actin)是带电结构,电磁场频率会影响其振荡频率并对微丝聚合效率产生影响.本文从细胞骨架形态和蛋白质两层次,采用免疫荧光技术考察0.4 m T,在35~140 Hz范围内5个频率的极低频磁场(ELF-MF)对FL细胞中纤维状肌动蛋白(F-actin)含量的影响,并采用荧光共振能量转移技术(FRET)验证效应最明显的频率对离体G-actin组装效率的干扰程度.结果显示,相比假辐照组,细胞中F-actin含量在50 Hz辐照组下降了(34.66±3.14)%,110 Hz次之,而另外3组(35、70和140 Hz)无显著性差异.同时利用FRET方法验证,在50 Hz磁场辐照下,离体环境中G-actin组装成F-actin的效率较假辐照组、35和70 Hz组显著降低.经初步分析,G-actin在弱ELF-MF中受到以洛伦兹力和感生电场力的合力为主的相关电磁力干扰,致使组装效率下降,且由于工频磁场周期与微丝组装周期的特殊相干性,在50 Hz频率附近可能存在一个外磁场干扰actin骨架组装的频率窗口.  相似文献

Spatiotemporal frequency responses were measured at different levels of light adaptation for cat X and Y retinal ganglion cells. Stationary sinusoidal luminance gratings whose contrast was modulated sinusoidally in time or drifting gratings were used as stimuli. Under photopic illumination, when the spatial frequency was held constant at or above its optimum value, an X cell's responsivity was essentially constant as the temporal frequency was changed from 1.5 to 30 Hz. At lower temporal frequencies, responsivity rolled off gradually, and at higher ones it rolled off rapidly. In contrast, when the spatial frequency was held constant at a low value, an X cell's responsivity increased continuously with temporal frequency from a very low value at 0.1 Hz to substantial values at temporal frequencies higher than 30 Hz, from which responsivity rolled off again. Thus, 0 cycles X deg-1 became the optimal spatial frequency above 30 Hz. For Y cells under photopic illumination, the spatiotemporal interaction was even more complex. When the spatial frequency was held constant at or above its optimal value, the temporal frequency range over which responsivity was constant was shorter than that of X cells. At lower spatial frequencies, this range was not appreciably different. As for X cells, 0 cycles X deg-1 was the optimal spatial frequency above 30 Hz. Temporal resolution (defined as the high temporal frequency at which responsivity had fallen to 10 impulses X s-1) for a uniform field was approximately 95 Hz for X cells and approximately 120 Hz for Y cells under photopic illumination. Temporal resolution was lower at lower adaptation levels. The results were interpreted in terms of a Gaussian center-surround model. For X cells, the surround and center strengths were nearly equal at low and moderate temporal frequencies, but the surround strength exceeded the center strength above 30 Hz. Thus, the response to a spatially uniform stimulus at high temporal frequencies was dominated by the surround. In addition, at temporal frequencies above 30 Hz, the center radius increased.  相似文献

本文对豚鼠125和131dBSPL稳态白噪声暴露后听觉脑干诱发反应(ABR)功率谱进行了研究.研究结果表明:125dBSPL噪声暴露组0—200、210—500Hz频段谱能量比对照组相应频段谱能量增多(P<0.05),而510—900Hz频段谱能量却显著下降(P<0.01);131dBSPL噪声暴露组0-200Hz频段谱能量显著下降(P<0.01),但210-500Hz、910-1400Hz频段谱能量却明显增多(P<0.01).  相似文献

蛙鸣蝉(Meimuna opalifera (Walk).ab.punctata Kato)的自然鸣声为“ji…guái”的重复单变调复合声.“ji”为主音频约4800Hz的准单音;“guái”的波形和主音频呈明显的演变,优势主频约2100Hz和2800Hz的变音调声.鸟鸣蝉(Meimuna opalifera (Walk)var.formosana Kato)的自然鸣声由重复的“jiū…ruǎ”和“jiū…gū…”合成的双变调复合声.“jiū”为基频和主频分别约625Hz和2100—2300Hz的准单音;“ruǎ”的波形和主音频呈明显的演变,基音和优势主频分别约575—625Hz和1550—1750Hz的变音调声.“gū”为优势主频约625Hz的准单音.变音调复合声不仅与腹部运动有关,而主要取决于发声肌的收缩特性和发声膜肋结构的振动特性.  相似文献

Multi-electrode array recordings of spike and local field potential (LFP) activity were made from primary auditory cortex of 12 normal hearing, ketamine-anesthetized cats. We evaluated 259 spectro-temporal receptive fields (STRFs) and 492 frequency-tuning curves (FTCs) based on LFPs and spikes simultaneously recorded on the same electrode. We compared their characteristic frequency (CF) gradients and their cross-correlation distances. The CF gradient for spike-based FTCs was about twice that for 2-40 Hz-filtered LFP-based FTCs, indicating greatly reduced frequency selectivity for LFPs. We also present comparisons for LFPs band-pass filtered between 4-8 Hz, 8-16 Hz and 16-40 Hz, with spike-based STRFs, on the basis of their marginal frequency distributions. We find on average a significantly larger correlation between the spike based marginal frequency distributions and those based on the 16-40 Hz filtered LFP, compared to those based on the 4-8 Hz, 8-16 Hz and 2-40 Hz filtered LFP. This suggests greater frequency specificity for the 16-40 Hz LFPs compared to those of lower frequency content. For spontaneous LFP and spike activity we evaluated 1373 pair correlations for pairs with >200 spikes in 900 s per electrode. Peak correlation-coefficient space constants were similar for the 2-40 Hz filtered LFP (5.5 mm) and the 16-40 Hz LFP (7.4 mm), whereas for spike-pair correlations it was about half that, at 3.2 mm. Comparing spike-pairs with 2-40 Hz (and 16-40 Hz) LFP-pair correlations showed that about 16% (9%) of the variance in the spike-pair correlations could be explained from LFP-pair correlations recorded on the same electrodes within the same electrode array. This larger correlation distance combined with the reduced CF gradient and much broader frequency selectivity suggests that LFPs are not a substitute for spike activity in primary auditory cortex.  相似文献

In many species, females often prefer male signals that are more complex than in nature or beyond the range of calls naturally produced by conspecific males in spectral, temporal and amplitude features. In this study we examined both the ability of females to recognize signals outside the normal range of spectral frequency variation seen in male advertisement calls, and the influence of increasing call complexity by adding spectral components to enhance the attractiveness of a male advertisement call in the cricket frog Acris crepitans blanchardi, while keeping its amplitude constant. We used two different natural male call groups and created the following synthetic call groups: with a dominant frequency at 3500 Hz, i.e. at the normal dominant frequency with a frequency band within the sensitivity range of the inner ear basilar papilla; with a dominant frequency at 700 Hz, i.e. outside the normal range of variation and with a frequency band outside the sensitivity range of the basilar papilla but within the range of the amphibian papilla; with two dominant frequencies, one at 700 Hz and another at 3500 Hz, stimulating the basilar and amphibian papilla simultaneously. In double choice experiments we tested all combinations of the three call groups, and we tested the 3500 Hz call groups against the same natural call groups. Additionally, we tested the 700 Hz call groups against white noise to see whether these signals are meaningful in mate choice. Females preferred 3500 Hz call groups over all other call groups. The synthetic call group was as attractive to females as the same natural call group. The 700 Hz call group was not meaningful in mate choice. The combined (700 Hz + 3500 Hz) call group was significantly less attractive to females than the 3500 Hz call group. Thus, making a call more spectrally complex without increasing its overall amplitude decreases its attractiveness to cricket frog females.  相似文献

2006 年9 ~11 月在四川省若尔盖县铁布自然保护区,对四川梅花鹿发情期的声行为进行了初步观测,结果表明:在发情期,四川梅花鹿的发声行为可分为雌、雄鹿的报警叫声,雄鹿的吼叫声和求偶叫声。雌鹿的报警叫声持续时间257 ~ 539 ms,频率范围1409. 5 ~ 4474. 6 Hz,主频率3534. 8 ±89.12 Hz;雄鹿的报警叫声持续时间136 ~187 ms,频率范围271.8 ~3910.5 Hz,主频率3244.3 ±79.32 Hz;两者在持续时间、最低频率、最高频率上差异极显著(P < 0.01),在间隔时间上差异不显著(P = 0.624)。吼叫是雄鹿的主要发情行为之一。雄鹿每次吼叫1 声,持续时间1580 ~4972 ms,频率范围234.6 ~6171.4 Hz,主频率2264.6 ± 166.44 Hz。雄鹿吼叫声的主频率存在显著的个体差异(P <0.01)。在整个吼叫过程中,一只雄鹿的吼叫常会引起周围其它雄鹿的吼叫反应。雄鹿每日吼叫的次数与其在繁殖群中的等级序列有关,不同序列等级雄鹿的吼叫频次存在显著差异(P<0.01)。雄鹿的吼叫声在白天和夜晚均能听到,但主要发生在06:00 ~ 08:00、17:00 ~ 19:00 和01:00 ~ 03:00 三个时间段。四川梅花鹿雄鹿的求偶叫声有4 种,其生物学意义与发情炫耀、追逐、激惹和爬跨等行为有关。  相似文献

Perivascular stimulation of the hepatic nerves in the in situ perfused rat liver with a constant frequency of 20 Hz over a constant period of 5 min had previously been shown to cause an increase of glucose output, a shift from lactate uptake to release, a reduction in perfusion flow (Hartmann et al. (1982) Eur. J. Biochem. 123, 521-526) and an overflow of noradrenaline into the hepatic vein (Beckh et al. (1982) FEBS Lett. 149, 261-265). In the present study the dependence of the metabolic and hemodynamic effects on the frequency between 1 and 30 Hz and duration of stimulation between 0.5 and 5 min was investigated. Over a constant stimulation period of 5 min the alteration in glucose exchange was maximal with a frequency of 10 Hz and half-maximal with 4 Hz. The corresponding values for the exchange of lactate were 5 Hz and 2 Hz, respectively, and for the perfusion flow 2.5 Hz and 1.5 Hz, respectively. An increase of noradrenaline overflow was not observed with the lower frequencies of 1 and 2.5 Hz; it was maximal at 10 Hz and half-maximal at 6.5 Hz. At a constant frequency of 20 Hz the increase in glucose release was maximal with a total stimulation period of 1 min and half-maximal with a period of 0.4 min. This present paper shows different levels of electroacupuncture analgesia (antinociceptive effect) induced by three different frequencies of stimulation (i.e. 0.2, 4 and 200 Hz); highest analgesia is induced at 200 Hz and lowest at 0.2 Hz. Naloxone (1 mg/kg) completely reverses the electroacupuncture effects at low frequency stimulation (4 Hz) but produces no inhibition at high frequency stimulation (200 Hz). Conversely, parachlorophenylalanine (320 mg/kg) partially blocks the high-frequency (200 Hz) analgesia but produces no effect on the low-frequency (4 Hz) electroacupuncture analgesia. This suggests that electroacupuncture analgesia induced by low frequency stimulation may be mediated by endorphins while high frequency stimulation is not endorphinergic but may be partly due to serotonin.  相似文献

Resting state-fMRI studies have found that the inter-areal correlations in cortical networks concentrate within ultra-low frequencies (0.01–0.04 Hz) while long-distance connections within subcortical networks distribute over a wider frequency range (0.01–0.14 Hz). However, the frequency characteristics of regional homogeneity (ReHo) in different areas are still unclear. To examine the ReHo properties in different frequency bands, a data-driven method, Empirical Mode Decomposition (EMD), was adopted to decompose the time series of each voxel into several components with distinct frequency bands. ReHo values in each of the components were then calculated. Our results showed that ReHo in cortical areas were higher and more frequency-dependent than those in the subcortical regions. BOLD oscillations of 0.02–0.04 Hz mainly contributed to the cortical ReHo, whereas the ReHo in limbic areas involved a wider frequency range and were dominated by higher-frequency BOLD oscillations (>0.08 Hz). The frequency characteristics of ReHo are distinct between different parts of the striatum, with the frequency band of 0.04–0.1 Hz contributing the most to ReHo in caudate nucleus, and oscillations lower than 0.02 Hz contributing more to ReHo in putamen. The distinct frequency-specific ReHo properties of different brain areas may arise from the assorted cytoarchitecture or synaptic types in these areas. Our work may advance the understanding of the neural-physiological basis of local BOLD activities and the functional specificity of different brain regions.  相似文献

This paper presents a method to inhibit B16F10 cancer cells using extremely low-frequency electromagnetic fields (ELF-EMFs) and to evaluate cell viability using MTT (3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyl tetrazolium bromide) assay. The study examined the effect of a natural EMF resonance frequency (7.83 Hz) and a power line frequency (60 Hz) on B16F10 cancer cells for 24 and 48 h. The B16F10 cancer cells were also exposed to sweep frequencies in several sweep intervals to quantitatively analyze the viability of cancer cells. The results yielded a 17% inhibition rate under 7.83 Hz compared with that of the control group. Moreover, sweep frequencies in narrow intervals (7.83 ± 0.1 Hz for the step 0.05 Hz) caused an inhibition rate of 26.4%, and inhibitory effects decreased as frequency sweep intervals increased. These results indicate that a Schumann resonance frequency of 7.83 Hz can inhibit the growth of cancer cells and that using a specific frequency type can lead to more effective growth inhibition.  相似文献

The aim of this study was to determine whether muscle fibre degeneration brought about by chronic lowfrequency electrical stimulation was related to the pattern and frequency of stimulation. Rabbit fast-twitch muscles, tibialis anterior and extensor digitorum longus, were stimulated for 9 days with pulse trains ranging in frequency from 1.25 Hz to 10 Hz. Histological data from these muscles were analysed with multivariate statistical techniques. At the lower stimulation frequencies there was a significantly lower incidence of degenerating muscle fibres. Fibres that reacted positively with an antineonatal antibody were most numerous in the sections that revealed the most degeneration. The dependence on frequency was generally similar for the two muscles, but the extensor digitorum longus muscles showed more degeneration than the tibialis anterior at every frequency. Muscles subjected to 10 Hz intermittent stimulation showed significantly less degeneration than muscles stimulated with 5 Hz continuously, although the aggregate number of impulses delivered was the same. The incidence of degeneration in the extensor digitorum longus muscles stimulated at 1.25 Hz was indistinguishable from that in control, unstimulated muscles; for the tibialis anterior muscles, this was also true for stimulation at 2.5 Hz. We conclude that damage is not an inevitable consequence of electrical stimulation. The influence of pattern and frequency on damage should be taken into account when devising neuromuscular stimulation régimes for clinical use.  相似文献

In unanaesthetized rabbits auriculo-acupuncture electrostimulation with frequency of 15 Hz decreased the amplitude of somatosensory EP second component in response to the tooth pulp electrostimulation which was blocked by intravenous injection of naloxone but not by intraventricular injection of saralasin. The same effect of auriculo-acupuncture electrostimulation with frequency 100 Hz was blocked by saralasin, was increased by angiotensin II, was diminished by methysergide but wasn't changed by naloxone. It's suggested that there is angiotensinergic antinociceptive mechanism of dental pain which is activated by auriculo-acupuncture electrostimulation with frequency 100 Hz.  相似文献

The effect of stimulation frequency on twitch force potentiation was examined in the adductor pollicis muscle of ten normal subjects. The ulnar nerve was supramaximally stimulated at the wrist and isometric twitch force was measured from a 3-Hz train lasting 1 s. Test stimulation frequencies of 5, 10, 20, 25, 30, 40, 50 and 100 Hz were applied for 5 s each in random order (5 min apart) and the twitches (3 Hz) were applied immediately before and after (1 s) the test frequency and at intervals up to 5 min afterwards (10 s, and 1, 2 and 5 min). Poststimulation twitches were expressed as a percentage of the prestimulation twitch. Low frequency fatigue was not induced by the protocol since the 20:50 Hz ratio did not alter within each session. The degree of twitch potentiation was frequency dependent, with potentiation increasing up to 50 Hz [mean 173 (SD 16)%] but the effect was markedly less at 100 Hz [mean 133 (SD 25)%, P less than 0.01] for all subjects. The reduced potentiation at 100 Hz may have occurred due to high frequency fatigue produced by the 100-Hz test stimulation train. The optimal frequency of those examined in the experimental group was 50 Hz but this only produced maximal potentiation in six of the ten subjects and 100 Hz always produced less potentiation. These findings have implications for electrical stimulation of muscle in the clinical setting.  相似文献

应用盲法膜片钳全细胞记录技术,以爪蟾视顶盖神经元微抑制性突触后电流(miniature inhibitory postsyn-aptic currents,mIPSCs)为指标,观察了细胞外Ca^2 对爪蟾脑片神经元突触后mIPSC的调制。结果表明:用细胞外无钙或无钙含乙二醇双乙胺醚-N,N′-四乙酸(EGTA)(200nmol/L—2mmol/L)溶液灌流,均可使mIPSCs的发放频率降低;非特异性钙离子拮抗剂氯化铬(100μmol/L)也可使mIPSCs的频率降低;内质网钙泵抑制剂thapsigargin(TG)以及内质网ryanodine受体(RyR)激动剂ryanodine均可使mIPSCs频率升高,内质网RyR拮抗剂普鲁卡因则可降低mIPSCs的频率;磷脂酶C抑制剂U73122也可降低mIPSCs的频率,对三磷酸肌醇(inositol 1,4,5-triphosphate,IP3)水平有抑制作用的咖啡因亦可显著地降低mIPSCs,甚至完全抑制mIPSCs。从而表明:对突触前神经元及其末梢,细胞外钙离子可通过细胞膜上的钙通道进入细胞内,使细胞内钙浓度升高,突触前神经末梢释放出更多的神经递质。进而可能使突触后mIPSCs的频率增加;突触前细胞内钙储池上的Rya和IP3R均可介导钙从其中释放,并也可使突触前细胞内的钙离子浓度升高,进而可能使突触后mIPSCs的发放频率增加。  相似文献
