A new species of Pseudaulacaspis MacGillivray, 1921 from China (Hemiptera, Coccoidea, Diaspididae) with a key to Chinese species

A new species of armored scale, Pseudaulacaspis zhenyuanensis Wei & Feng, sp. n. is described and illustrated from specimens collected on Spermadictyon suaveolens in China. A key to armored scale species known from China is provided.     

A taxonomic revision of the silphaeformis species-group of the genus Tachinus Gravenhorst (Staphylinidae,Tachyporinae) from China

The Chinese species of the silphaeformis group of the genus Tachinus Gravenhorst are revised with fifteen species being treated. Thirteen of them are described as new: T. armatus Feng & Li, sp. n. (Sichuan), T. cavazzutii Feng, Li & Schülke, sp. n. (Sichuan), T. coronatus Feng, Li & Schülke, sp. n. (Ningxia, Qinghai), T. hercules Feng, Li & Schülke, sp. n. (Sichuan), T. hujiayaoi Feng, Li & Schülke, sp. n. (Shaanxi), T. jiuzhaigouensis Feng, Li & Schülke, sp. n. (Sichuan), T. linzhiensis Feng & Li, sp. n. (Tibet), T. maderianus Feng & Li, sp. n. (Sichuan), T. mengdaensis Feng, Li & Schülke, sp. n. (Qinghai), T. oblongoelytratus Feng & Li, sp. n. (Sichuan), T. parahercules Feng, Li & Schülke, sp. n. (Sichuan), T. paralinzhiensis Feng & Li, sp. n. (Tibet), and T. yini Feng, Li & Schülke, sp. n. (Sichuan). The two known species are redescribed based on the holotypes and additional material. Illustrations of the habitus and major diagnostic characters, distributional maps, and identification keys of all species are included.     

A review of the morphologically diverse leafhopper subfamily Stegelytrinae (Hemiptera: Cicadellidae) with description of new taxa

Abstract. The morphologically diverse leafhopper subfamily Stegelytrinae is reviewed and its biology and biogeography are discussed as well as its classification, monophyly and relationship to Deltocephalinae s.l. In addition, the first stegelytrine is recorded east of Wallace's and Weber's lines, extending the distribution of the subfamily outside the Oriental and Palaearctic regions. A checklist and key to the genera of the subfamily are given. The following new genera and species are described: Honguchia rubrofascia Wei & Webb, gen.n & sp.n. from Sabah; H. superba Wei & Webb, sp.n. from Sumatra; Yaontogonia flavopicta Wei & Webb, gen.n & sp.n. from Brunei and Sabah; Y. darjeelingensis Wei & Webb, sp. n. from West Bengal; Sychentia breviata Wei & Webb, gen.n & sp.n. from Malaysia; Louangana stellata Wei & Webb, gen.n & sp.n. from Laos; Shangonia sarawakensis Wei & Webb, gen.n & sp.n. from Sarawak; Quiontugia fuscomaculata Wei & Zhang, gen.n. & sp.n. from Hainan; and Neophansia wallacei Wei & Webb, gen.n & sp.n. from New Guinea.     

Revision of the genus Salganea St?l (Blattodea,Blaberidae, Panesthiinae) from China,with descriptions of three new species

Three new species of Salganea Stål, 1877 are described and illustrated: S. quinquedentata sp. n., S. anisodonta sp. n. and S. flexibilis sp. n. S. taiwanensis Roth, 1979, S. guangxiensis (Feng & Woo, 1990), S. incerta (Brunner von Wattenwyl, 1893) and S. raggei Roth, 1979 are redescribed. Panesthia concinna Feng & Woo, 1990 is synonymized with S. taiwanensis Roth, 1979 and Panesthia guangxiensis Feng & Woo, 1990 is transferred to the genus Salganea for the first time. As well, a key to species from China is presented.

A new species of Coccus (Hemiptera,Coccoidea,?Coccidae) from China

A new species of soft scale, Coccus multisetus Wang & Feng, sp. n. is described and illustrated from Yunnan, China. A key to adult females of all Coccusknown from China is provided.     

A review of the genus Megapulvinaria Young (Hemiptera,Coccoidea, Coccidae) from China,with?a?description of a new species

Prior to this study, only Megapulvinaria maxima (Green) was known from China. However, a new species Megapulvinaria beihaiensis Wang & Feng, sp. n. is described below and Megapulvinaria maxima is redescribed. A key is provided for the five species now placed in this genus.     

Taxonomy of the genus Laena from Yunnan in China,with description of eight new species (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae: Lagriinae)

Taxonomic study of the genus Laena from Sichuan in China,with description of four new species (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae)

The genus Laena Dejean, 1821 belongs to the subfamily Lagriinae, tribe Laenini. Review of the Macrophya formosana group (Hymenoptera: Tenthredinidae) with descriptions of two new species

The Macrophya formosana group is reviewed and six species are recognized from Europe and East Asia, among them two new species, M. brevispuralis Li, Liu & Wei sp. nov. and M. pseudoformosana Li, Liu & Wei sp. nov. from China, and four known species, M. crassula (Klug 1817), M. dolichogaster Wei & Ma, 1997, M. formosana Rohwer 1916 and M. liukiuana Takeuchi 1926. A key to all known species of the Macrophya formosana group is provided.     

Two new species of Archaeohelorus (Hymenoptera,Proctotrupoidea, Heloridae) from the Middle Jurassic of China

Two new fossil species, Archaeohelorus polyneurus sp. n. and A. tensus sp. n., assigned to the genus Archaeohelorus Shih, Feng & Ren, 2011 of Heloridae (Hymenoptera), are reported from the late Middle Jurassic, Jiulongshan Formation of Inner Mongolia, China. Based on the well-preserved forewings and hind wings of these specimens, the diagnosis of the Archaeohelorus is emended: forewing 2cu-a intersecting Cu and Rs+M at the same point or postfurcal, and hind wing may have tubular veins C, Sc+R, R, Rs, M+Cu, M and Cu distinct, or simplified venation. The new findings also elucidate the evolutionary trend of forewing and hind wing venation and body size for the Heloridae from the late Middle Jurassic to now.

记述蝇科(Muscidae)棘蝇亚科(Phaoniinae)棘蝇族(Phaoniini)中的阳蝇属(HelinaRobineau-Desvoidy,1830)4新种:四方阳蝇(Helina quadratasp.nov.),团宝山阳蝇(Helina tuanbaoshanicasp.nov.),短叶阳蝇(Helina pedanasp.nov.),二郎山阳蝇(Helina erlangshannasp.nov.)。模式标本存于军事医学科学院微生物流行病研究所医学昆虫标本馆。     

中国棘蝇属三新种记述 (双翅目：蝇科)

报道了采自中国四川地区的棘蝇属Phaonia Robineau Desvoidy,1830三新种：凹铗棘蝇Phaonia holcocerca Feng et Ma,sp.nov.,高巅棘蝇Phaonia supernapica Feng et Ma,sp.onv.,孟氏棘蝇Phaonia Mengi Feng,sp.nov.。后者系纪念我国已故著名昆虫学家孟庆华教授对医学昆虫学研究所作的贡献而命名。模式标本存于北京军事医学科学院微生物流行病研究所。

记述采自中国河南叶蜂科平背叶蜂业科3新种:尖鞘狭背叶蜂Ametastegia acutitheca Wei,sp.nov.,褐鳞狄背叶蜂A.rufotegularis Wei,sp.nov.,刘氏元叶蜂Toxonus liui Wei et Niu,sp.nov..     

Taxonomic study of subgenus Plastus s. str. (Coleoptera, Staphylinidae, Osoriinae) in China, with descriptions of five new species

This paper treats Chinese species of the rove beetle genus Plastus Bernhauer, 1903, subgenus Plastus s. str. (Coleoptera, Staphylinidae, Osoriinae). None of the 87 previously described species of this subgenus are known from China. The following five new species are described and illustrated: Plastus Plastus amplus Wu & Zhou, sp. n. from Xizang, Plastus Plastus rhombicus Wu & Zhou, sp. n. from Guangxi, Plastus Plastus rhombicus Wu & Zhou, sp. n. from Yunnan, Plastus Plastus shanghaiensis Wu & Zhou, sp. n. from Shanghai, and Plastus Plastus tuberculatus Wu & Zhou, sp. n. from Hainan. A key to adults of the five known Chinese species is provided.
