The effect of pre-germinated brown rice (PGBR) on cholesterol metabolism was studied in Donryu rats subcutaneously implanted with the ascites hepatoma cell line AH109A and compared with that of white rice (WR). The effect of brown rice (BR), the source of PGBR, was also studied. Hepatoma-bearing rats fed a WR diet exhibited hypercholesterolemia compared with normal rats fed the same diet. Feeding hepatoma-bearing rats a PGBR or BR diet suppressed hepatoma-induced hypercholesterolemia, and enhanced fecal bile acid excretion and the activity of cholesterol 7alpha-hydroxylase, the rate-limiting enzyme of bile acid biosynthesis, in the microsomal fraction of the liver without affecting cholesterol synthesis in the host liver of hepatoma-bearing rats. These results suggest that PGBR as well as BR suppresses hypercholesterolemia induced by hepatoma growth by up-regulating cholesterol catabolism.  相似文献

To examine the effect of two types of resistant starch on blood glucose and insulin levels, colonic events, hypolipidemic actions and humoral immune responses, Sprague-Dawley streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats were fed diet containing resistant starch from corn or rice. The marked body weight loss by inducing diabetes was not recovered by feeding resistant starch, even though there are no differences in food intakes compared to the non-diabetic control rats. No significant effect of resistant starch feeding on blood glucose and insulin was found. Even though the length of small intestines, and cecum, colon and rectum together with the tissue weight of cecum were not affected by feeding resistant starch, the intestinal transit time was markedly shortened by both types of resistant starch and resistant starch from corn had a more pronounced effect. The short chain fatty acids in the intestinal contents did not appear to be different among the groups. Nonetheless, both of resistant starch from corn and rice significantly lowered plasma total lipid and cholesterol concentrations compared to the diabetic control. The total liver cholesterol lowering effect was observed with resistant starch from rice. Neither immunoglobulin G nor C(3) were influenced by resistant starch.  相似文献

Rice has been one of the most important grains. While polished white rice is favored, colored strains of rice, red, or black, have been maintained for religious purposes in Japan. We studied whether feeding of unpolished colored rice instead of white rice ameliorates oxidative renal tubular damage in rats induced by ferric nitrilotriacetate. Whereas renal lipid peroxidation was exacerbated in white rice-fed group in comparison with standard chow group, this exacerbation was not observed in red or black rice-fed groups. These changes were dependent on the proportion of colored rice to standard chow in the diet. Cyanidin 3- O - β- d -glucoside was detectable neither in the serum nor kidney after one week of colored rice diet, but serum protocatechuic acid was significantly increased after black rice diet. There was a generalized decrease in the renal glutathione peroxidase activity in rice diet groups. Renal enzymatic activities of superoxide dismutase, glutathione S -transferase and NAD(P)H quinone reductase were not associated with the levels of lipid peroxidation. However, renal catalase activity was significantly increased in black rice-fed groups. These may partly explain the antioxidative effect. Furthermore, colored strains of rice are rich in proteins. Thus, our data warrants further investigation of the antioxidative effect of colored rice.  相似文献

Intestinal absorption of most nutrients is enhanced in diabetic rats. We wished to test the hypothesis that manipulation of dietary fatty acids will modify enhanced uptake of glucose in rats with established streptozotocin-diabetes. Chow-fed control rats or animals with one week of streptozotocin-diabetes were continued on chow or were fed ad libitum for three weeks with semisynthetic isocaloric diets containing a high content of either essential polyunsaturated or non-essential saturated fatty acids. The jejunal and ileal in vitro uptake of varying concentrations of glucose was much higher in diabetic than control rats fed chow or the saturated fatty acid diet. In contrast, the enhanced uptake of this sugar was reduced or normalized in diabetic rats fed the polyunsaturated fatty acid diet. Feeding the polyunsaturated fatty acid diet was associated with increased brush-border membrane activity of alkaline phosphatase in diabetic jejunum and ileum, but neither the saturated fatty acid diet nor the polyunsaturated fatty acid diet altered brush-border membrane cholesterol or phospholipids in control or in diabetic rats. Mucosal surface area was similar in diabetic rats fed the saturated fatty acid diet or the polyunsaturated fatty acid diet. Thus, (1) feeding the polyunsaturated fatty acid diet diminishes the enhanced jejunal and ileal uptake of glucose in diabetic rats, and (2) the influence of the polyunsaturated fatty acid diet on uptake in diabetic rats was not explained by alterations in intestinal morphology or brush-border membrane content of cholesterol or phospholipids. This study suggests that manipulation of dietary lipids may play a role in the normalization of the enhanced intestinal glucose uptake in rats with established diabetes.  相似文献

To investigate using pre-germinated brown rice (PGBR) to treat metabolic syndrome, we fed one group of mice standard-regular-diet (SRD) for 20 weeks and another group of mice high-fat-diet (HFD) for 16 weeks. We subdivided them into HFD group and HFD + PGBR group whose dietary carbohydrate was replaced with PGBR for 4 weeks. The HFD group gained more weight, had higher blood pressure, heart rate, blood glucose and lipids, liver levels of TG, feces TG and bile acid, lower adipose levels of adipocytokine, lower skeletal muscle IR, IRS-1, IRS-2, PI3 K, Akt/PKB, GLUT-1, GLUT-4, GCK and PPAR-γ; higher liver SREBP-1, SCD-1, FAS, HMGCR, LDLR, CYP7α1 and PPAR-α, and higher adipose SREBP-1, SCD-1, FAS, and lower adipose PPAR-α and adiponectin. The HFD + PGBR group had clearly improved blood pressure, biochemical parameters and above proteins expressions. PGBR successful treatment of metabolic syndrome was achieved through improvements in glucose and lipid synthesis and metabolism.  相似文献

ObjectiveOur aim was to assess the effects of dietary iron, and the compound capsaicin, on hemoglobin as well as metabolic indicators including blood glucose, cholesterol, triglycerides, insulin, and glucose tolerance.ResultsHealthy rats fed a low-iron diet exhibited significantly reduced total cholesterol and triglyceride levels, compared with rats fed a control diet. Significantly reduced blood lipid was also provoked by low dietary iron in diabetic rats, compared with those fed a control diet. Insulin, and glucose tolerance was only improved in healthy rats fed the low-iron diet. Significant increases in total cholesterol were found in diabetic rats fed a high-iron diet, compared with healthy rats fed the same diet, although no statistical differences were found for triglycerides. Hemoglobin levels, which were not statistically different in diabetic versus healthy rats fed the high-iron diet, fell when capsaicin was added. Capsaicin also provoked a fall in the level of cholesterol and triglycerides in diabetic animals, versus diabetics fed with the high iron diet alone. In conclusion, low levels of dietary iron reduced levels of serum triglycerides, hemoglobin, and cholesterol, and significantly improved insulin, and glucose tolerance in healthy rats. In contrast, a high-iron diet increased cholesterol significantly, with no significant changes to triglyceride concentrations. The addition of capsaicin to the high-iron diet (for diabetic rats) further reduced levels of hemoglobin, cholesterol, and triglycerides. These results suggest that capsaicin, may be suitable for the treatment of elevated hemoglobin, in patients.  相似文献

The effects of dietary n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids on lipoprotein concentrations and on lipoprotein lipase (LPL), hepatic triglyceride lipase (HTGL) and lecithin cholesterol acyltransferase (LCAT) activities were studied in streptozotocin-induced diabetic rats during pregnancy and in their macrosomic offspring from birth to adulthood. Pregnant diabetic and control rats were fed Isio-4 diet (vegetable oil) or EPAX diet (concentrated marine omega-3 EPA/DHA oil), the same diets were consumed by pups at weaning. Compared with control rats, diabetic rats showed, during pregnancy, a significant elevation in very low density lipoprotein (VLDL) and low and high density lipoprotein (LDL-HDL(1))-triglyceride, cholesterol and apoprotein B100 concentrations and a reduction in apoprotein A-I levels. HTGL activity was high while LPL and LCAT activities were low in these rats. The macrosomic pups of Isio-4-fed diabetic rats showed a significant enhancement in triglyceride and cholesterol levels at birth and during adulthood with a concomitant increase in lipase and LCAT activities. EPAX diet induces a significant diminution of VLDL and LDL-HDL(1) in mothers and in their macrosomic pups, accompanied by an increase in cholesterol and apoprotein A-I levels in HDL(2-3) fraction. It also restores LPL, HTGL and LCAT activities to normal range. EPAX diet ameliorates considerably lipoprotein disorders in diabetic mothers and in their macrosomic offspring.  相似文献

Previous studies suggest a protective effect of vitamin D3 on zinc deficiency-induced insulin secretion and on pancreas β-cell function. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of vitamin D on blood biochemical parameters, tissue zinc and liver glutathione in diabetic rats fed a zinc-deficient diet. For that purpose, Alloxan-induced diabetic rats were divided into four groups. The first group was fed a zinc-sufficient diet while the second group was fed a zinc-deficient diet. The third and fourth groups received zinc-sufficient or zinc-deficient diets plus oral vitamin D3 for 27 days. At the end of the experiment, blood, femur, pancreas, kidney and liver samples were taken from all rats. The serum, femur, pancreas, kidney and liver zinc concentrations, liver glutathione, serum alkaline phosphatase activity, daily body weight gain and food intake were lower in the zinc-deficient rats in comparison with those receiving adequate amounts of zinc. These values were increased in the zinc-deficient group that was supplemented with vitamin D3. The serum total cholesterol, triglycerides, total protein, urea, glutamate oxaloacetate transaminase, glutamate pyruvate transaminase and blood glucose values were higher in rats fed a zinc adequate diet, but their concentrations were decreased by vitamin D3 supplementation. The serum total protein levels were not changed by zinc deficiency and vitamin D3 supplementation. These results suggest that vitamin D3 modulates tissue zinc, liver glutathione and blood biochemical values in diabetic rats fed a zinc-deficient diet.  相似文献

These studies examine the effect of cholesterol feeding in normal rats and in rats with streptozotocin-induced diabetes mellitus. Four groups were studied: normal rats fed either a standard rat chow or a standard rat chow supplemented with cholesterol and diabetic rats fed standard chow or standard chow plus cholesterol. Diabetic rats fed a standard diet excreted more creatinine and urea in the urine, had higher levels of blood urea nitrogen, and lower serum albumin levels than rats fed standard diet plus cholesterol. Blood glucose levels were similar in the two groups; however, diabetic rats given cholesterol had a greater body weight at the end of the study than diabetic rats eating standard chow. Urine volumes and sodium and potassium excretion in the urine were greater in diabetic rats fed a standard diet than in those fed a high cholesterol diet. Diabetic rats fed a standard diet had distinctive renal lesions characterized by swelling of tubular epithelial cells with clearing of cytoplasm. The nephron segments involved by this striking vacuolar change were the distal convoluted tubule and the thick limbs of Henle's loop. These lesions were identical to those described by Armanni-Ebstein in severely glycosuric patients. These lesions were not observed in any of the animals of the other three groups (including diabetic rats fed a high cholesterol diet). Glomeruli were normal in animals of all groups. Thus, cholesterol administration prevents the development of the Armanni-Ebstein lesions in diabetic rats despite persistent hyperglycemia. The mechanism by which cholesterol administration prevents the accumulation of glycogen in distal tubule cells has not been elucidated. It is suggested that glycogen accumulation in distal tubular segments may explain the greater urine volumes, natriuresis, kaliuresis, and proteinuria observed in diabetic animals fed a standard diet when compared with rats fed the same diet plus cholesterol.  相似文献

The accumulation and subcellular distribution of copper in the kidney of streptozotocin-diabetic rats were investigated. Male Sprague-Dawley rats received streptozotocin (50 mg/kg body wt on two consecutive days) intraperitoneally and were fed either commercial or purified diet. The concentrations of copper, zinc, iron, and manganese present in intact kidney, renal cortex, and renal medulla were compared at various times. Chow-fed diabetic rats had a renal copper concentration 2.6 times greater than age-matched controls after 2 weeks. The concentration of zinc was only 30% higher in diabetic kidney than in control tissue, whereas the iron and manganese concentrations were similar for both groups. The additional complement of renal copper was localized entirely in the cortex and was significantly reduced by oral treatment with penicillamine, a copper chelating agent. When diabetic rats were fed purified diet (15-20 ppm Cu), the quantity of copper accumulated in the renal cortex increased from 2.3 to 8.7-fold higher than in control tissue from 1 to 4 weeks, respectively, after injection with streptozotocin. Copper levels in. both the soluble and particulate (165, 000g pellet) fractions of diabetic renal cortex were similarly increased at each time. Gel filtration Chromatographic analysis of the cytosol showed that all of the copper accumulated in the soluble fraction was associated with metallothionein. The distribution of excess copper in the particulate fraction was determined by differential centrifugation. The additional quantity of metal was localized in the crude nuclear fraction of renal cortex in the diabetic rat. Further analysis revealed that the lysosomal fraction from 3-weeek diabetic rats had a copper level 16-fold higher than in the controls. The possibility that accumulation of excessive levels of copper in the streptozotocin-diabetic kidney may contribute to the development of diabetic nephropathy is discussed.  相似文献

We proposed that the circadian rhythm of corticosterone in diabetic rats would have a different pattern than that in non-diabetic control rats. To test this hypothesis, 20 male Sprague-Dawley rats were given ad libitum access to a stock diet and housed individually in a light and temperature controlled room. Ten rats were made diabetic by two subcutaneous injections of streptozotocin. Ten rats which were not injected served as controls. Thirteen days after induction of the diabetes, tail blood samples were taken every 4 h for 24 h. Plasma corticosterone levels were significantly higher in diabetic rats than in control rats at 3 time points during the light cycle; however, concentrations were similar during the dark cycle. We speculate that diabetes may cause alterations in the steroid feedback mechanism to the hypothalamus and/or pituitary, resulting in an abnormal circadian rhythm of plasma corticosterone.  相似文献

This study was designed to examine the time-course of response to inhibition of fatty acid (FA) oxidation in rats rendered mildly diabetic with streptozotocin and fed a high fat diet (50% of energy derived from fat). Etomoxir, a specific carnitine palmitoyltransferase (CPT-1) inhibitor, was administered subcutaneously (12.5 mg/kg) to inhibit long chain fatty acid oxidation. Diabetic and non-diabetic control rats were maintained on the high fat diet. Following an overnight fast, glucose, free fatty acid (FFA) and triglyceride (TG) concentrations were determined after three days, one week and four weeks of treatment. The effect of Etomoxir treatment in reducing fasting glucose concentrations was not evident until after one week, while fasting FFA and TG concentrations were already reduced after three days treatment. All of these changes were maintained over the four week period (P less than 0.001), resulting in reduced levels of fasting plasma glucose (17.6 +/- 2.4 vs 22.3 +/- 1.9 mmol/l), fasting plasma TG (0.32 +/- 0.07 vs 0.98 +/- 0.14 mmol/l) and fasting serum FFA (1.52 +/- 0.26 vs 3.51 +/- 0.69 mEq/l). In addition, the improvements in glucose and lipid levels were accompanied by restored rates of growth towards that of non-diabetic control rats. These results suggest that the short term inhibition of FA oxidation improves fasting glucose, FFA and TG concentrations in diabetic rats fed a high fat diet.  相似文献

Effect of feeding 15 mg% capsaicin diet or 3% freeze dried onion powder containing diet were examined in albino rats rendered diabetic with streptozotocin injection. Diabetic rats maintained on onion diet for 8 weeks excreted comparatively less amounts of albumin, urea, creatinine and inorganic phosphorus. Dietary onion also partially reversed the abnormalities in plasma albumin, urea, creatinine and inorganic phosphorus in diabetic animals. Onion also produced a significant reduction in hyperglycemic status of diabetic animals. Diabetic rats maintained on onion diet had a lowered relative liver weight at the end of the study compared to diabetic control group. Diabetic rats fed onion diet also exhibited lowered lipid peroxides in circulation and in urine when compared to diabetic control group. Blood cholesterol was lowered significantly by dietary onion in diabetic animals. Cholesterol decrease was exclusively from LDL-VLDL fraction. Significant decrease in blood phospholipids and tr iglycerides also brought about by dietary onion. Hepatic cholesterol, triglycerides, phospholipids which were elevated under diabetic condition were countered significantly by dietary onion. Dietary capsaicin did not have any significant influence on any of the parameters tested in diabetic rats. Thus, the study reveals that onion feeding improves the metabolic status in diabetic condition, probably because of its hypoglycemic as well as hypocholesterolemic effect. Effect of feeding 0.5% curcumin diet or 1% cholesterol diet was examined in albino rats rendered diabetic with streptozotocin injection. Diabetic rats maintained on curcumin diet for 8 weeks excreted comparatively less amounts of albumin, urea, creatinine and inorganic phosphorus. Urinary excretion of the electrolytes sodium and potassium were also significantly lowored under curcumin treatment. Dietary curcumin also partially reversed the abnormalities in plasma albumin, urea, creatinine and inorganic phosphorus in diabetic animals. On the other hand, glucose excretion or the fasting sugar level was unaffected by dietary curcumin and so also the body weights were not improved to any significant extent. Diabetic rats fed curcumin diet had a lowered relative liver weight at the end of the study compared to other diabetic rat groups. Diabetic rats fed a curcumin diet also showed lowered lipid peroxidation in plasma and urine when compared to other diabetic groups. The extent of lipid peroxidation on the other hand, was still higher in cholesterol fed diabetic groups compared to diabetic rats fed with control diet.Thus, the study reveals that curcumin feeding improves the metabolic status in diabetic condition, despite no effect on hyperglycemic status or the body weights. The mechanism by which curcumin improves this situation is probably by virtue of its hypocholesterolemic influence, antioxidant nature and free radical scavenging property.  相似文献

The activity and mRNA concentrations of two lipogenic enzymes, fatty-acid synthase and acetyl-CoA carboxylase were measured in the liver and white adipose tissue of rats weaned to a carbohydrate-rich diet containing either long-chain or medium-chain fatty acids, and compared to those of rats weaned on a diet containing less than 1% (total energy) fat (high-carbohydrate diet). In the liver, the diet containing long-chain fatty acids inhibited the increase of both lipogenic-enzyme mRNA concentrations and activities seen at weaning on the high-carbohydrate diet but did not prevent the decrease in phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase mRNA and activity. In contrast, the diet containing medium-chain fatty acids induced a slower but finally similar increase in lipogenic-enzyme mRNA concentrations and activities. In adipose tissue, a similar trend was observed, although the inhibitory effect of the diet containing long-chain fatty acids was considerably less marked than in liver. It is concluded that medium-chain and long-chain fatty acids have not the same inhibitory potency of the gene expression of lipogenic enzymes, and that long-chain fatty acids have a more marked effect in the liver.  相似文献

Glomerular capillary basement membrane thickness (BMT) was measured in 23 rats which had had streptozocin-induced diabetes for 14 months and in 12 age-matched controls. Diabetic rats were randomly allocated to different groups, either receiving no treatment or treated with a low carbohydrate diet or insulin, or both. Control rats were randomly allocated to a normal or low carbohydrate diet. Among the diabetic rats mean plasma glucose concentrations for the groups ranged from 27-4 mmol/l (494 mg/100 ml) in the untreated rats to 9-8 mmol/l (177 mg/100 ml) in those receiving both a low carbohydrate diet and insulin. A highly significant positive relation was found between BMT and plasma glucose concentration for individual rats. When BMT was corrected for body weight a similar relation was observed.  相似文献

Oyster extract was prepared by hydrolysis of oyster protein with proteases, Aloase (a protease from Bacillus subtilis), and Pancitase (a protease from Aspergillus oryzae). Rats were fed a diet containing 20% casein (the control diet) or 15% casein and 5% oyster extract (the oyster extract diet) as the protein source. The oyster extract diet exerted a significant reduction in serum cholesterol and liver triglyceride concentrations as compared with the control diet in Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats fed cholesterol-supplemented diets for 4 weeks. The activities of cytosolic fatty acid synthase and glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase were significantly lower in the oyster extract group than in the control group in the liver of SD rats. Hepatic cholesterol and triglyceride concentrations were significantly lower in spontaneously hypertensive (SH) rats and Otsuka Long-Evans Tokushima Fatty (OLETF) rats, type 2 diabetic rats, fed the oyster extract diet, for 4 weeks and 4 months respectively, than in those fed the control diet in the cholesterol-free diet. Blood pressure was significantly lower in the oyster extract group than in the control group at the 2nd and 4th weeks after the beginning of feeding experimental diets in SH rats. These results suggest that oyster extract prepared by hydrolysis of oyster induces triglyceride-lowering activity in the liver through a decrease in hepatic lipogenesis in SD rats, and that it exerts the antihypertensive effect in SH rats.  相似文献

Trace element status is known to be altered in the diabetic state, although the factors affecting trace element homeostasis in this condition are not well understood. The authors examined the effects of a high fructose diet (40% wt:wt) vs a control diet on the copper (Cu), zinc (Zn), and iron (Fe) concentrations in the kidney, plasma, and red blood cells of islet transplanted (TX) and shamoperated (SHAM) rats. Male, Wistar Furth rats made diabetic by streptozotocin injection (55 mg/kg, iv) were given an intraportal islet transplant (1000 islets); control animals were shaminjected, shamoperated (SHAM). Rats within TX and SHAM groups were assigned to either a high fructose diet (40% fructose, 25% cornstarch, FR) or a purified control diet (33% cornstarch, 33% dextrose, CNTL) containing identical amounts of mineral mixture for a period of 6 wk. Kidney Cu concentration was significantly elevated among hyperglycemie TXCNTL rats (224 ± 25 nmol/g wet wt), but was markedly reduced in hyperglycemic TXFR rats (109 ± 14 nmol/g) relative to normoglycemic controls. This occurred in spite of similar levels of glucose, insulin (fed and fasted), insulin secretory capacity, body weight, and food intake in the TXCNTL and TXFR groups. Among the subgroup of rats with normal glucose levels post-TX, kidney Cu levels normalized and were unaffected by dietary treatment (normoglycemic TXCNTL = 60 ± 5 nmol/g; normoglycemic TXFR = 40 ± 2 nmol/g). Kidney Cu concentrations also were unaffected by fructose feeding in SHAM animals (CNTL, 60 ± 4 nmol/g and FR, 51 ± 5 nmol/g). Kidney Zn and Fe concentrations were similar among the treatment groups. Plasma and red blood cell (RBC) Cu, Zn, and Fe concentrations were also similar among the groups. Since fructose feeding led to a substantial reduction of kidney Cu concentrations in the presence of hyperglycemia, the authors suggest that this model can be useful in examining effects of altered kidney Cu accumulation in the diabetic animal.  相似文献

The present study was conducted to investigate the effects of chromium histidinate (CrHis) against experimentally induced type II diabetes and on chromium (Cr), zinc (Zn), selenium (Se), manganese (Mn), iron (Fe), and copper (Cu) in serum, liver, and kidney of diabetic rats. The male Wistar rats (n = 60, 8 weeks old) were divided into four groups. Group I received a standard diet (12% of calories as fat); group II were fed standard diet and received CrHis (110 mcg CrHis/kg body weight per day); group III received a high-fat diet (HFD; 40% of calories as fat) for 2 weeks and then were injected with streptozotocin (STZ) on day 14 (STZ, 40 mg/kg i.p.; HFD/STZ); group IV were treated as group III (HFD/STZ) but supplemented with 110 mcg CrHis/kg body weight per day. The mineral concentrations in the serum and tissue were determined by atomic absorption spectrometry. Compared to the HFD/STZ group, CrHis significantly increased body weight and reduced blood glucose in diabetic rats (p < 0.001). Concentrations of Cr, Zn, Se, and Mn in serum, liver, and kidney of the diabetic rats were significantly lower than in the control rats (p < 0.0001). In contrast, higher Fe and Cu levels were found in serum and tissues from diabetic versus the non-diabetic rats (p < 0.001). Chromium histidinate supplementation increased serum, liver, and kidney concentrations of Cr and Zn both in diabetic and non-diabetic rats (p < 0.001). Chromium supplementation increased Mn and Se levels in diabetic rats (p < 0.001); however, it decreased Cu levels in STZ-treated group (p < 0.001). Chromium histidinate supplementation did not affect Fe levels in both groups (p > 0.05). The effect of dietary taurine on hypercholesterolemia induced by a high-cholesterol diet in streptozotocin (STZ)-induced diabetic rats was investigated. The concentrations of serum and liver cholesterol were markedly elevated in STZ-diabetic rats fed on the cholesterol-containing diet, and dietary taurine significantly reduced this elevated level of cholesterol in the serum and liver. The gene expression of cholesterol 7α-hydroxylase (CYP7A1), which is the rate-limiting enzyme for cholesterol degradation, was induced by the supplementation of taurine to the high-cholesterol diet. It is suggested that one of the reasons for this hypocholesterolemic action by taurine might have been the enhancement of cholesterol degradation.  相似文献
