The metabolism of [14C]eicosa-11,14-dienoic acid was investigated in rat testes in vivo and in vitro. Intratesticular injection of [1-14C]eicosa-11,14-dienoic acid resulted in the appearance of radioactivity (4-30% of 14C in total fatty acids) in 20-carbon trienoic fatty acids and a small amount (2-3.5%) in arachidonic acid. Analysis of the 20-carbon trienoic acid fraction by ozonolysis indicated that 15 to 34% of the 14C in this fraction was in an 8-carbon fragment originating from eicosa-8,11,14-trienoic acid. The rest (66 to 84%) was in a 5-carbon fragment, presumably originating from eicosa-5,11,14-trienoic acid. Incubation of testicular tissue minces or microsomes with [1-14C]eicosa-11,14-dienoic acid yielded labeled eicosa-8,11,14- and eicosa-5,11,14-trienoic acids in proportions similar to those obtained in vivo. Added unlabeled acetate had no effect on the formation of [14C]eicose-8,11,14-trienoic acid in vitro. Therefore, it is unlikely that the labeled eicosa-8,11,14-trienoic acid arose from elongation of octadeca-6,9,12-trienoic acid with labeled acetate derived from bio-oxidation of the labeled substrate. These results are compatible with a limited desaturation of eicosa-11,14-dienoic acid to eicosa-8,11,14-trienoic acid and provide evidence for delta8 desaturate activity in rat testis.  相似文献

Identification of lipid fatty acids (FA) and studying of their seasonal dynamics in water moss Fontinalis antipyretica from the Yenisei River were carried out by means of gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. FA composition of water moss was notable for a relatively low level of saturated acids and predominance of polyunsaturated acids (PUFA) with double bonds (accounting for more than 30% of total FA) and polyunsaturated acids with double and triple bonds (acetylenic acids, accounting for more than 40% of total FA). Among PUFA, α- and γ-linolenic (18:3ω3 and 18:3ω6), arachidonic (20:4ω6), and eicosapentaenoic (20:5ω3) acids prevailed. Relative content of PUFA from ω3-family was the greatest in spring, and the level of PUFA from ω6-group was essentially the same throughout all the seasons. In the biomass of water moss, we identified seven acetylenic acids; among them octadeca-9,12-dien-6-ynoic (6a,9,12-18:3), octadeca-9,12,15-trien-6-ynoic (6a,9,12,15-18:4), and eicosa-11,14-dien-8-ynoic (8a,11,14-20:3) acids were predominant. For the first time, in the lipids of water moss we identified an acetylenic eicosa-11,14,17-trien-8-ynoic acid (8a,11,14,15-20:4). Relative content of acetylenic acids in the total FA was great throughout the entire period of investigation with the peak accumulation in summer. Owing to a steadily high level in the biomass of water moss and the lack of other producers of these acids in the ecosystem, acetylenic FA are highly specific biochemical markers useful for the investigation of trophic interactions between higher aquatic plants and zoobenthos.  相似文献

Fatty acid compositions of the lipids of Fontinalis antipyretica shows the presence of octadeca-9, 12-dien-6-ynoic, octadeca-9,12,15-trien- 6-ynoic and eicosa-11,14-dien-8-ynoic acids as the major components of the triglycerides. These acetylenic acids were not present in the galactosyl diglycerides. The moss lipids also contained relatively large amounts of two novel acetylenic methyl ketones with an unsaturation pattern analogous to that of the C18 acetylenic acids.  相似文献

The oxidative desaturation of [1-(14)C]eicosa-8,11-dienoic acid to eicosa-5,8,11-trienoic acid by rat liver microsomes was studied, and the kinetic conditions appropriate to measure the specific activity of the enzyme were determined. A comparative study of the effects of a balanced diet and essential fatty acid-free diets on the oxidative desaturation of oleic and linoleic acids at the 6,7 position and the oxidative desaturation of eicosadienoic acid at the 5,6 position were made. Eicosadienoic acid showed a higher conversion than oleic acid for all the diets. The conversion of oleic and linoleic acids to Delta6 acids was equally increased by fat-free diets with or without added methyl palmitate, whereas the oxidative 5-desaturation of eicosadienoic acid at the 5,6 position was not changed. The effect was apparently independent of the amount of endogenous free fatty acids. The results suggest that the rate-limiting and principal regulatory step in the biosynthesis of eicosa-5,8,11-trienoic acid is the 6-desaturation of oleic acid. The 5-desaturation of eicosadienoic acid was increased by a protein diet and decreased by alloxan diabetes to a lesser extent than the 6-desaturation of linoleic acid. The 5-desaturation of eicosadienoic acid would constitute a secondary regulatory step.  相似文献

Primary culture is a suitable system to study lipid metabolism and polyunsaturated fatty acid biosynthesis. Sertoli cell-enriched preparations were used to determine the fatty acid composition after 5 and 7 days in culture (serum free) as well as the uptake and metabolism of [1-14C]eicosa-8,11,14-trienoic acid. The addition of unlabeled linoleic acid (0.2 and 2.0 microg/ml) was also evaluated. Fatty acid methyl esters derived from cellular lipids were analyzed by gas liquid chromatography and radiochromatography. After 5 days in culture, cells had significantly less 18:2, 20:4, 22:5 and 24:5 and more 18:3, 20:3, 22:4 and 24:4 n-6 fatty acids than non-cultured cells. On day 7, an additional increment in 22:4 n-6 and a decrease in linoleic, gamma-linoleic and 24:4 n-6 fatty acids were observed. The presence of linoleic acid (low dose) produced a significant decrease in saturated and monounsaturated acids and an increase in 18:2, 20:4 and 22:5 n-6 fatty acids. At a high concentration almost all fatty acids belonging to 18:2 n-6 increased significantly. The drop in 20:4 n-6/20:3 n-6 ratio was considered as an indirect evidence of a Delta 5 desaturase activity depression. This assumption was corroborated by studying the transformation of [1-14C]eicosa-8,11,14-trienoic acid into 20:4, 22:4, 22:5, 24:4 and 24:5 n-6 fatty acids. We conclude that Sertoli cells after 7 days in culture evidenced changes in the fatty acid profile similar to those described under fat deprivation. The addition of linoleic acid reverted this pattern and indicated that the Delta 5 desaturase activity is a limiting step in the polyunsaturated fatty acid biosynthesis.  相似文献

(1-14C) Eicosatetraenoic (Arachidonic) acid was incubated wiht microsomes from rabbit renal cortex and NADPH (1 mM) for 15 min at 37°C. The products were extracted and purified by high pressure liquid chromatography. Some of the most polar metabolites were identified by gas chromatography mass spectrometry. They were 11, 12, 19- and 11, 12,20-trihydroxy-5,8-14-eicosatrienoic acid, 14,15,19- and 14,15,20- trihydroxy-5,8,11-eicosatrienoic acid, and 11,12-dihydroxy-19-oxo- 5,8,14-eicosatrienoic acid. These products were likely formed by ω- and (ω−1)-hydroxylation of 11,12-dihydroxy-5,8,14-eicosatrienoic aic and 14,15-dihydroxy-5,8,11-eicosatrienoic acid, two recently identified metabolites of arachidonic acid in fortified rabbit kidney microsomes.  相似文献

Two fatty acids differing from arachidonic acid in lacking one of the internal double bonds (20:35,8,14 and 20:35,11,14) and their 1-C14 and acetylenic analogues were synthesized. 20:35,8,14 was not metabolized by human platelets but 20:35,11,14 yielded a small amount (1.5% conversion) of two hydroxy fatty acids in a three (11-hydroxy-5,12,14-icosatrienoic acid) to one (15-hydroxy-5,11,13-icosatrienoic acid) proportion. Indomethacin inhibited formation of both hydroxy fatty acids indicating that they are produced via cyclooxygenase. Both ethylenic acids were weak inhibitors of cyclooxygenase (substrate 20 μM arachidonic acid) (ID50: 8.8 μM 20:35,8,14; 11.2 μM 20:35,11,14) but were inactive against lipoxygenase (RD50 > 100 μM). Similarly, both acetylenic analogues were poor inhibitors of lipoxygenase (ID50: 23.4 μM 20:35,8,14; 47.8 μM 20:35,11,14) but although 20:35,8,14 was inactive against cyclooxygenase (ID50 > 100 μM) the 20:35,11,14 was a potent inhibitor (ID50: 0.35 μM). The results are interpreted on the basis that hydrogen removal by the lipoxygenase is from C10 and by the cyclooxygenase from C13 but only in 20:35,11,14 are these hydrogens (C13) located at the center of a 1,4 pentadiene system (ethylenic) or a 1,4 pentadiyne system (acetylenic).  相似文献

Close agreement between rates of condensation and overall chain elongation have been observed with eight octadecadienoic isomers in which the double bonds were moved from the 4,7- to the 11,14-positions. The specific activities for overall chain elongation of 7,10-and 6,9-octadecadienoic acids were, respectively, 5.20 and 2.89 nmol product min?1 mg?1 rat liver microsomal protein, while the specific activities for the other six isomers were all below 0.84. The specific activities for both the β-hydroxyacyl-CoA dehydrase and 2-trans-enoyl-CoA reductase reactions were measured using the appropriate substrates required in chain elongating 5,8-, 7,10-, and 8,11-octadecadienoic acids. Although these rates were not as markedly influenced by structural modification, they were all much greater than the initial reaction thus implicating condensation as rate limiting. Both 7- and 9-octadecenoic acids were poor substrates for overall chain elongation even though both 6,9- and 7,10-octadecadienoic acids readily condensed with malonyl-CoA. The rate of overall elongation increased for 7,10-unsaturated acids as the chain length of the primer was extended from 14- to 18-carbons, however, 7,10-eicosadienoic acid was virtually inactive. When rates of overall chain elongation were measured with an isomeric series of six octadecatrienoic acids in which the double bonds were shifted from the 4,7,10- to the 9,12,15-positions, only the 5,8,11-, 6,9,12-, and 7,10,13-isomers were readily chain elongated. Again, as with the octadecadienoic acid isomers the best substrate had the first double bond at position 7. Again the rate of chain elongation was chain length dependent since both 5,8,11- and 7,10,13-eicosatrienoic acid were chain elongated at lower rates than were their 18 carbon analogs. When the substrates were grouped according to common terminal structures no single feature was identifiable which dictated whether a primer would readily be chain elongated. Our findings are thus most consistent with a high degree of substrate specificity for condensation which involves carboxyl recognition but is also dictated both by chain length, double-bond positions, and degree of unsaturation.  相似文献

The present work was undertaken to study the effect of anti-insulinic and glycogenolytic factors on the oxidative desaturation of fatty acids. The effects of glucagon and dibutyryl cyclic AMP on the desaturation of linoleic acid to gamma-linolenic acid, alpha-linolenic acid to octadeca-6,9,12,15-tetraenoic acid, stearic acid to oleic acid, and eicosa-8,11,14-trienoic acid to eicosa-5,8,11,14-tetraenoic acid by rat liver microsomal preparations were investigated. Fasted rats had low desaturating activity, but refeeding a fat-free diet enhanced the activity. Administration of glucagon or dibutyryl cyclic AMP abolished the increase of the 6-desaturase activity elicited by refeeding. However, a similar effect on the 9-desaturase and 5-desaturase activity was not observed. The relationship between these effects and glucose metabolism is discussed.  相似文献

Over the last century, intakes of omega-6 (ω-6) fatty acids in Western diets have dramatically increased, while omega-3 (ω-3) intakes have fallen. Resulting ω-6/ω-3 intake ratios have risen to nutritionally undesirable levels, generally 10 to 15, compared to a possible optimal ratio near 2.3. We report results of the first large-scale, nationwide study of fatty acids in U.S. organic and conventional milk. Averaged over 12 months, organic milk contained 25% less ω-6 fatty acids and 62% more ω-3 fatty acids than conventional milk, yielding a 2.5-fold higher ω-6/ω-3 ratio in conventional compared to organic milk (5.77 vs. 2.28). All individual ω-3 fatty acid concentrations were higher in organic milk—α-linolenic acid (by 60%), eicosapentaenoic acid (32%), and docosapentaenoic acid (19%)—as was the concentration of conjugated linoleic acid (18%). We report mostly moderate regional and seasonal variability in milk fatty acid profiles. Hypothetical diets of adult women were modeled to assess milk fatty-acid-driven differences in overall dietary ω-6/ω-3 ratios. Diets varied according to three choices: high instead of moderate dairy consumption; organic vs. conventional dairy products; and reduced vs. typical consumption of ω-6 fatty acids. The three choices together would decrease the ω-6/ω-3 ratio among adult women by ∼80% of the total decrease needed to reach a target ratio of 2.3, with relative impact “switch to low ω-6 foods” > “switch to organic dairy products” ≈ “increase consumption of conventional dairy products.” Based on recommended servings of dairy products and seafoods, dairy products supply far more α-linolenic acid than seafoods, about one-third as much eicosapentaenoic acid, and slightly more docosapentaenoic acid, but negligible docosahexaenoic acid. We conclude that consumers have viable options to reduce average ω-6/ω-3 intake ratios, thereby reducing or eliminating probable risk factors for a wide range of developmental and chronic health problems.  相似文献

Thyroid autoregulation has been linked to an organified iodocompound. Since several iodolipids are produced by the gland their possible role in thyroid autoregulation was examined. The following pure synthetic compounds were prepared: 1) 14-iodo-15-hydroxy-5,8,11-eicosatrienoic acid (I-OH-A); 2) its omega lactone (IL-ω);3)5-hydroxy-6-iodo-8,11,14-eicosatrienoic acid delta lactone (IL-δ). Their action on iodine metabolism was studied. Iodine uptake was measured in calf thyroid slices. At 10-4M I-OH-A caused a 64% decrease in the T/M ratio while IL-ω inhibited it by 36% and IL-δ was without effect. At 10−5M the inhibition was 44% for I-OH-A and 19% for IL-ω, while T3 was without action. A possible isotopic dilution effect was excluded, and no change in iodine efflux was observed. The inhibition by I-OH-A of iodine uptake was observed after only 15 min preincubation. This compound alse decreased 125I accumulation in rats.In calf thyroid slice, I-OH-A at 10−4M, inhibited PB125I formation by 80%, IL-ω 62% and IL-ω by 37% and arachidonic acid were without action. I-OH-A also caused a dose-dependent inhibition of TSH-stimulated iodide organification.The present results demonstrate, for the first time, that iodinated derivatives of arachidonic acid inhibition thyroid function and mimic the effect of iodine on thyroid autoregulation.  相似文献

We have examined the fatty acid substrate specificity of arachidonoyl-CoA synthetase from human platelet membranes. A variety of positional isomers and chain-length analogs of arachidonic acid [20:4(5, 8, 11, 14)] were synthesized, and assayed for their ability to inhibit arachidonoyl-CoA formation or to serve as substrates for the synthetase. The chain-length specificity of the synthetase for delta 8,11,14 trienoic fatty acids was C19 greater than C18 = C20 much greater than C21 greater C22. Inhibition activity by positional isomers of arachidonate was 20:4(5, 8, 11, 14) approximately equal to 20:4(6, 9, 12, 15) = 20:4(7, 10, 13, 16) much greater than 20:4(4, 7, 10, 13), however, Vmax for arachidonate was greater than that for 20:4(6, 9, 12, 15). The enzyme apparently "counts" double bonds from the carboxyl terminus. As counted from the methyl terminus we found that several n-6,-9,-12 fatty acids were ineffective as inhibitors [18:3(6, 9, 12); 19:4)4, 7, 10, 13); 21:3(9, 12, 15)], whereas all methylene-interrupted tri- and tetraenoic fatty acids which contained delta 8 and delta 11 double bonds were potent inhibitors. The delta 11 double bond was best associated with optimal inhibition: 20:3(5, 11, 14) had a lower Ki than 20:3(5, 8, 14). 13-Methyl-20:3(8, 11, 14) did not inhibit the enzyme. Partially purified enzyme from calf brain, depleted of nonspecific long-chain acyl-CoA synthetase, exhibited the same fatty acid specificity as crude platelet enzyme.  相似文献

Utilizing a variety of fatty acids, differing in chain length, degree and position of unsaturation, we investigated the substrate specificity for the enzymatic production of biologically active slow reacting substances (SRS) and of the other leukotrienes. A cellfree enzyme system obtained from RBL-1 cells was used in this study. The primary structural requirement observed for the conversion by this lipoxygenase enzyme system was a Δ5,8,11 unsaturation in a polyenoic fatty acid. Such fatty acids as 20:4 (5,8,11,14), 20:5 (5,8,11,14,17), 20:3 (5,8,11), 19:4 (5,8,11,14) and 18:4 (5,8,11,14) were readily converted to compounds that comigrated with 5-HETE and 5,12-DiHETE and to biologically active SRS. Chain length did not have an influence on the formation of these hydroxyacids. Fatty acids with the initial unsaturation at Δ4, Δ6, Δ7 or Δ8 were a poor substrate for the leukotriene enzyme system. Therefore, this lipoxygenase pathway in leukocytes is quite different from the lipoxygenase in platelets which does not exhibit this specificity.  相似文献

The long-chain aldehydes, (8Z,11Z,14Z)-8,11,14-heptadecatrienal, (7Z,10Z,13Z)-7,10,13-hexadecatrienal, and (8Z,11Z)-8,11-heptadecadienal, were concisely synthesized by using Grignard coupling, catalytic hydrogenation with the Lindlar catalyst, and oxidation with Dess–Martin periodinane as the key steps. Particularly, (8Z,11Z,14Z)-8,11,14-heptadecatrienal and (7Z,10Z,13Z)-7,10,13-hexadecatrienal both possessed a seaweed-like odor.  相似文献

The ability of a series of 18 carbon acetylenic fatty acids to fulfill the unsaturated fatty acid requirements of Escherichia coli and Saccharomyces cerevisiae was investigated. Despite their high melting points (greater than 40 degrees C), several isomers of the acetylenic fatty acids were as efficient or more efficient in supporting growth than the analogous fatty acid having a cis-double bond. The efficiencies of the different positional isomers in supporting cell proliferation varied from essentially 0 cells per fmol for the 2-5 and 13-17 isomers to high values when the acetylenic bond was near the center of the chain: e.g. 45 E. coli and 5.5 S. cerevisiae cells/fmol for the 10 isomer. A striking ineffectiveness of the 9 isomer was observed with E. coli. The 7, 8 and 10 isomers were at least 10-fold more efficient than any of the other positional isomers in supporting the growth of E. coli. In contrast, the 9 isomer was among the most effective acetylenic fatty acids tested with the yeast mutant. Chromatographic analysis of the extracted lipids indicated that each of the acetylenic isomers tested (except delta2 and delta3) could be esterified by the prokaryotic and eukaryotic microorganisms. The content of unsaturated plus cyclopropane acids observed when growth ceased in E. coli cultures supplemented with growth-limiting concentrations of the acetylenic fatty acids ranged from approx. 15 mol% for the 8 isomer to approx. 35 mol% for the 14 and 17 isomers. The 8-11 isomers were observed to be esterified predominantly at the two position in phosphatidylethanolamine of E. coli and in phosphatidylcholine of S. cerevisiae.  相似文献

Objective

Long-chain omega 3 fatty acids, eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA, 20:5n-3) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA, 22:6n-3) exert potent anti-inflammatory properties in humans. This study characterized the effects of omega-3 ω-3 fatty acids supplements (ω-3 FA) on the inflammatory status in the placenta and adipose tissue of overweight/obese pregnant women.

Study Design

A randomized, double-masked controlled trial was conducted in overweight/obese pregnant women that were randomly assigned to receive DHA plus EPA (2g/day) or the equivalent of a placebo twice a day from week 10–16 to term. Inflammatory pathways were characterized in: 1) adipose tissue and placenta of treated vs. untreated women; and 2) adipose and trophoblast cells cultured with long chain FAs.

Results

The sum of plasma DHA and EPA increased by 5.8 fold and ω-3 FA/ ω-6 FA ratio was 1.5 in treated vs. untreated women (p< 0.005). Plasma CRP concentrations were reduced (p<0.001). The adipose tissue and placenta of treated women exhibited a significant decrease in TLR4 adipose and placental expression as well as IL6, IL8, and TNFα In vitro, EPA and DHA suppressed the activation of TLR4, IL6, IL8 induced by palmitate in culture of adipose and trophoblast cells.

Conclusion

Supplementation of overweight/obese pregnant women with dietary ω-3 FAs for >25 weeks reduced inflammation in maternal adipose and the placental tissue. TLR4 appears as a central target of the anti-inflammatory effects at the cellular level.

Omega fatty acids are recognized as key nutrients for healthier ageing. Lipases are used to release ω-3 fatty acids from oils for preparing enriched ω-3 fatty acid supplements. However, use of lipases in enrichment of ω-3 fatty acids is limited due to their insufficient specificity for ω-3 fatty acids. In this study use of phospholipase A1 (PLA1), which possesses both sn-1 specific activity on phospholipids and lipase activity, was explored for hydrolysis of ω-3 fatty acids from anchovy oil. Substrate specificity of PLA1 from Thermomyces lenuginosus was initially tested with synthetic p-nitrophenyl esters along with a lipase from Bacillus subtilis (BSL), as a lipase control. Gas chromatographic characterization of the hydrolysate obtained upon treatment of anchovy oil with these enzymes indicated a selective retention of ω-3 fatty acids in the triglyceride fraction by PLA1 and not by BSL. 13C NMR spectroscopy based position analysis of fatty acids in enzyme treated and untreated samples indicated that PLA1 preferably retained ω-3 fatty acids in oil, while saturated fatty acids were hydrolysed irrespective of their position. Hydrolysis of structured triglyceride,1,3-dioleoyl-2-palmitoylglycerol, suggested that both the enzymes hydrolyse the fatty acids at both the positions. The observed discrimination against ω-3 fatty acids by PLA1 appears to be due to its fatty acid selectivity rather than positional specificity. These studies suggest that PLA1 could be used as a potential enzyme for selective concentrationof ω-3 fatty acids.  相似文献

A general procedure for the synthesis of 2-trans polyenoic fatty acids and of dl-3-hydroxypolyenoic acids is described. The 2-trans acids are prepared by LiAlH(4) reduction of a suitable polyenoic fatty acid ester to the alcohol, formation of the tosylate, oxidation to the aldehyde, and Doebner condensation of the latter with malonic acid. The 3-hydroxy acids are obtained by reaction of the acyl chloride of a suitable polyenoic acid with the sodium enolate of methyl acetoacetate and sodium methoxide to give the 3-keto ester, the keto group of which is reduced with sodium borohydride to the alcohol. These procedures were applied to the synthesis of eicosa-2-trans-8, 11, 14-all cis-tetraenoic acid-3-(14)C and DL-3-hydroxy eicosa-8, 11, 14-trienoic acid-3-(14)C.  相似文献

We report here a study of the incorporation and metabolism of various long chain fatty acids in SK-Hep-1 cultured hepatoma cells. Medium supplementation with radiolabelled palmitic, stearic, linoleic, -linolenic and eicosa-8, 11,14-trienoic acids (1 µM, 24 H) resulted in an active uptake of each of these precursors by the cultures. Subsequent analysis of the cellular lipids indicated that they exhibit almost all the enzymic activities of polyunsaturated fatty acid metabolism that are characteristic of normal hepatic cells. With respect to the desaturation capacities of this cell line, although -linolenic acid reacted more extensively than did linoleic acid and the conversion of 8,11,14-eicosatrienoic acid by the 5 specific enzyme was more avid than had been previously seen in normal rat or human liver: the saturated fatty acids constituted relatively poor substrates, being preferentially chain-elongated rather than (mono) desaturated at the 9 position. Analysis of the fatty acid profiles of total cellular lipids and of various lipid subclasses, however, revealed a relative paucity of essential fatty acids when compared with the abundance of endogenous monoenoic acids (particularly oleic). Of the total cellular fatty acids, 58% were present in the form of phospholipids; with 33% of the remaining 42% (i.e., the neutral lipids) being associated with triacylglycerol fraction. Within the total lipids, phosphatidyl-choline and phosphatidyl-ethanolamine were the major sites for the incorporation of all metabolic products derived from the incubated radiolabelled 16- and 18-carbon fatty acid precursors, whereas the phosphatidyl-inositol fraction was the predominat recipient of nascent arachidonic acid when the eicosatrienoate was the substrate. The express purpose of this investigation was to characterize the biochemical routes involved in the anabolism of various essential fatty acids in the human hepatocyte, through the use of cultured human hepatoma cells as an experimental model system. In view of the similarities between certain aspects of the polyunsaturated fatty acid metabolism of these cells and the corresponding properties of other mammalian hepatic or liver-derived tissues, the data presented here would thus constitute a significant beginning alone those lines. Moreover, considering the extreme difficulty in obtaining for such investigation relevant tissue samples from normal human sources, we regard these results — and the availability for use of this particular human hepatoma cell line — as important new developments in the effort to characterize a useful experimental model both for gaining immediate information and for designing future experiments.  相似文献
