The new pentapyridyldiamine ligand, L1, which incorporates two bis(2-pyridylethyl)amine donor domains held together by a 2,6-dimethylenepyridine linker, is readily prepared. In the presence of metal salts, L1 is unstable due to facile elimination of vinyl pyridine. Complexes of L1 are therefore difficult to isolate. Nonetheless, a novel copper dimer [Cu2(L1)(μ-OH)(CH3CN)](ClO4)3 has been isolated in small quantities along with the interesting monomer [Cu(L2)](ClO4)2, in which L2 is the tetrapyridyldiamine ligand derived from the decomposition of L1 by loss of one pyridylethyl `arm'. The crystal structures of the two complexes are reported: the [Cu2(L1)(μ-OH)(CH3CN)]2+ cation exhibits a μ-hydroxo-bridged dicopper(II) core and a coordinated acetonitrile molecule, akin to a putative intermediate in nitrile hydrolysis, and the chiral [Cu(L2)]2+ cation is revealed to have a five-coordinate copper(II) centre that is stabilised by an intramolecular hydrogen-bond between the 2° amine group and a pendant pyridylethyl `arm'.  相似文献

New structurally constrained tetraaza macrocycles 2,3-dimethyl-1,5,12,16-tetraazapentacyclo[14.6.3.35.12.06.11.017.22]octacosane (L6) and 2,2,4,10,12,18,20-octamethyl-1,5,9,13-tetraazatricyclo[11.3.2. 25.9]eicosane (L7) have been prepared in high yield by direct reaction of 1,3-dibromopropane with 3,14-dimethyl-2,6,13,17-tetraazatricyclo[16.4.0.07.12]docosane (L3) or 2,5,5,7,9,12,12,14-octamethyl-1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclodecane (L5). The macrocycle L6 readily reacts with anhydrous copper(II) ion to yield [CuL6]2+ in dry methanol but does not react with nickel(II) ion, showing a high copper(II) ion selectivity. On the other hand, neither of the metal ions is inserted into the cavity of L7 in similar conditions. The copper(II) complex [CuL6](ClO4)2 has a severely distorted square-planar coordination polyhedron with a rarely observed trans-IV type N-conformation. The visible absorption spectrum of [CuL6]2+ shows the d-d transition band at 490 nm (ε=690 M−1 cm−1); the wavelength is quite similar to that of [CuL3]2+, but the molar absorption coefficient is extraordinarily larger than those of [CuL3]2+ and other related tetraaza macrocyclic copper(II) complexes.  相似文献

Three new triply bridged dinuclear copper(II) compounds containing carboxylato bridges, [Cu2(μ-CH3COO-κ-O1,O2)2(μ-CH3COO-κ-O1)(dpyam)2](BF4) (1), [Cu2(μ-CH2CH3COO-κ-O1,O2)(μ-OH)(μ-OH2)(bpy)2](ClO4)2 (2) and [Cu2(μ-CH3COO-κ-O1,O2)(μ-OH)(μ-OH2)(phen)2](ClO4)2 (3) (in which dpyam = di-2-pyridylamine, bpy = 2,2-bipyridine, phen = phenanthroline), have been synthesized in order to investigate the magnetic super-exchange pathway between coupled copper(II) centres. All three compounds display a distorted square-pyramidal arrangement around each copper(II) ion with a CuN2O3 chromophore. Compound 1 has three acetato bridges, two of which connect each square pyramid at two equatorial sites in a triatomic bridging mode and the third acetato bridge acts at the apical site in the monoatomic bridging mode. The structures of compounds 2 and 3 are mutually similar. In each dinuclear unit, both copper(II) ions are linked at two equatorial positions through a hydroxo bridge and a triatomic carboxylato bridge and at the axial position through a water molecule. The magnetic susceptibility measurements, measured from 5 to 300 K, revealed an antiferromagnetic interaction between the Cu(II) ions in compound 1 and a ferromagnetic interaction for compounds 2 and 3 with singlet-triplet energy gaps (J) of −56, 149 and 120 cm−1, for compounds 1, 2 and 3, respectively.  相似文献

Two new copper(II) complexes of the type [Cu(L)X2), where L = (E)-N-phenyl-2-[phenyl (pyridine-2-yl)methylene]hydrazinecarboxamide X = Cl/Br have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, FAB (fast atomic bombardment) magnetic measurements, electronic absorption, conductivity measurements cyclic voltammetry (CV) and Electron paramagnetic resonance (epr) spectroscopy. The structures of these complexes determined by single crystal X-ray crystallography show a distorted square based pyramidal (DSBP) geometry around copper(II) metal center. The distorted CuN2OX (X = Cl/Br) basal plane in them is comprised of two nitrogen and one oxygen atoms of the meridionally coordinated ligand and a chloride or bromide ion and axial position is occupied by other halide ion. The epr spectra of these complexes in frozen solutions of DMSO showed a signal at g ca. 2. The trend in g-value (g|| > g > 2.00) suggest that the unpaired electron on copper(II) has dx2-y2 character. Biological activities in terms of superoxide dismutase (SOD) and antimicrobial properties of copper(II) complexes have also been measured. The superoxide dismutase activity reveals that these two complexes catalyze the fast disproportionation of superoxide in DMSO solution.  相似文献

New partially N-hydroxyethylated 14-membered tetraaza macrocycles 1,8-bis(2-hydroxyethyl)-3,5,7,7,10,12,14,14-octamethyl-1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane (L2) and 1-(2-hydroxyethyl))-3,5,7,7,10,12,14,14-octamethyl-1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane (L3) have been synthesized selectively by the one-step reaction of 2,5,5,7,9,12,12,14-octamethyl-1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane (L1) with 2-hydroxyethyl bromide. The complexes [NiL3]2+, [CuL2]2+, and [CuL3]2+ have been prepared and characterized. The complex [CuL2](ClO4)2 has a square-pyramidal coordination geometry with one apical oxygen atom; only one of the two hydroxyethyl groups is coordinated to the metal ion. Electronic absorption spectra of [CuL3](ClO4)2 containing one hydroxyethyl pendant arm indicate that the geometry is similar to that of [CuL2](ClO4)2. Unexpectedly, the nickel(II) complex [NiL3](ClO4)2 has a severely distorted trigonal bipyramidal coordination geometry with the oxygen atom of the pendant arm at the equatorial position. The Ni---O bond distance of the nickel(II) complex is shorter, or not longer, than the Ni---N bond distances. The ligand in [CuL2]2+ is in the RRSS (trans-III) configuration, as usual, whereas that in [NiL3]2+ has the RRRR (trans-V) conformation. The coordination geometry and properties of [NiL3]2+ are quite different from those reported for other related nickel(II) complexes containing one functional pendant arm.  相似文献

Obtention and crystal structure of guanfacine (guaH) together with synthesis and crystal structure of its copper complex [CuII(gua)2] · DMF were reported. The free molecule guaH exhibits one tautomeric form (B) in contrast to the form (A) which was reported in the Merck index. In the copper(II) complex, the anionic form gua exhibits the third tautomeric form (C). This complex is characterized by a CuN2O2 coordination. The EPR spectrum is in agreement with a Cu(II) ion in a square planar configuration.  相似文献

New copper(II) complexes with sulfonamide ligands have been prepared and characterized. Sulfonamide ligands were prepared through a reaction between 8-aminoquinoline and either 2-mesitylene (Hqmesa), 4-tert-butylbenzene (Hqtbsa), or alpha-toluene (Halphaqtsa) sulfonyl chlorides. The structural analysis carried out for complex [Cu(alphaqtsa)(2)] indicated that the local environment of the Cu(II) cation is between a square planar and a tetrahedral geometry, with stacking of the benzene rings of the sulfonyl ligands between neighbor molecules. Powder EPR spectra at room temperature gave rhombic spectra for the [Cu(alphaqtsa)(2)] and [Cu(qmesa)(2)] complexes and an axial spectrum for the [Cu(qtbsa)(2)] complex, probably due to the steric hindrance of the methyl groups. Complexes [Cu(alphaqtsa)(2)] and [Cu(qmesa)(2)] are artificial chemical nucleases that degrade DNA in the presence of sodium ascorbate. A study of the radical scavengers revealed that the ROS (reactive oxygen species) involved in the DNA damage were hydroxyl, singlet oxygen-like species, and superoxide anion.  相似文献

The reaction of the tripod ligand hydrotris(2-mercapto-1-imidazolyl)borate Tmxylyl with zinc(II) perchlorate in methanol afforded the mononuclear complex of the type [Tmxylyl-Zn(mimxylyl)]ClO4 (1). Whereas under the same conditions, the reaction with copper(II) perchlorate gives rise to the simultaneous formation of the dinuclear copper(I) complex [TmxylylCu]2 (2). The chemical formulae of the complexes have been characterized by elemental chemical analysis, IR-NMR spectroscopies, and single crystal X-ray methods. In complex 1, the zinc(II) atom displays a distorted tetrahedral environment. While in complex 2, the Tmxylyl ligand bridges the two copper(I) atoms in an asymmetric manner with trigonal geometry. The inverted conformation of the ligand Tmxylyl at the boron center, allows the B-H units to be directed towards the copper centers. The greater reactivity of the borohydride groups towards metal centers enhances the reduction of Cu(II) to Cu(I). The obtained kinetic results for the methylation reactions of 1 and 2 indicate that these bound thione complexes are less suitable to electrophilic attack than the thiolate ligand.  相似文献

Two new compounds of Cu(II) of stoichiometry CuCl4(polyamineH2) containing the polyamines (PA): spermidine or spermine were prepared. Their synthesis, spectroscopic and structural characterization are herein described. The obtained complex with spermidine was characterized by elemental and thermogravimetric analysis, electronic and infrared spectroscopy. In the case of the compound with spermine, crystals were obtained. So, beside all other techniques the compound was also characterized by single crystal X-ray diffractometry. In both cases the species [CuCl4]2− is present and displays a similar polymeric structure. The X-ray, infrared and electronic spectra are herein discussed based on structural peculiarities of the compounds.  相似文献

A new ethyl bis(pyridin-2-ylmethyl)phosphate (2-bis(pm)Ope) ligand has been synthesized and used for synthesis of copper(II) and zinc(II) complexes of the formula [MCl2(2-bis(pm)Ope)] [M = Cu(II), Zn(II)]. Despite having the same general formula, Cu(II) and Zn(II) complexes are not isostructural. The Zn(II) complex is four coordinated (MCl2N2) forming probably tetrahedral structure whereas the Cu(II) complex of distorted square pyramidal geometry is five coordinated (MCl2ON2). The later compound not only coordinates by two nitrogen atoms of pyridine rings but also by the oxygen atom of pyridin-2-ylmethoxyl residue. The compound (2-bis(pm)Ope) has been obtained as the product of diethyl (pyridin-2-ylmethyl)phosphate’s (2-pmOpe) transestrification. The compounds have been identified and characterized by IR, far-IR, 1H NMR, 31P NMR and elemental analyses. The crystal structure of copper(II) complex i.e. [CuCl2(2-bis(pm)Ope)] has been determined by the X-ray diffraction method. The low temperature magnetic study reveals significant antiferromagnetic interaction between copper centers through the H-bond system.  相似文献

Copper(II) complexes of a new bis benzimidazole diamide ligand N-picolyl-N,N′-bis(2-methylbenzimidazolyl)hexanediamide [Pic-GBHA = L2] have been synthesized and characterized. One of the compound [Cu(L2)(NO3)2] has been structurally characterized. The copper atom is bound to two benzimidazolyl nitrogen atoms, two amide carbonyl oxygen atoms and a bidentate nitrate ion, resulting in a distorted octahedral geometry. EPR spectra obtained at low temperature indicate a tetragonal geometry in the solution state. Complexes display a quasi-reversible redox wave due to the Cu(II)/Cu(I) reduction process having fairly cathodic E1/2. These Cu(II) complexes were utilized to carry out oxidation of ditertbutylcatechol (DTBC) in methanol using molecular oxygen as the oxidant in. Low temperature EPR study of the oxidation reaction implicates the formation of an active copper species with fairly low A value. The presence of picolyl groups on the ligand also serve as a proton sponge giving 2-3 times higher rates of reaction in comparison to the non-picolylated ligand, implying a role of free basic groups in the pH control of enzymatic oxidation of catechols by catechol oxidase and tyrosinase.  相似文献

A copper(II) complex with the pyridoxal-aminoguanidine (PL-AG) Schiff base adduct, as an organic compound of the very potent biological activity and promising pharmacological importance in the treatment of diabetic complications, has been prepared and characterized. The X-ray structural analysis of the [CuCl2(PL-AG)] complex showed that it has a distorted pseudo-square-pyramidal (4+1) structure with the tridentate ONN Schiff base in the equatorial plane, with the Cu-O(1), Cu-N(1) and Cu-N(3) bond lengths of 1.917(2)A, 1.930(2)A and 1.984(2)A, respectively. The bond length of the equatorial Cu-Cl(1) is 2.279(1)A, while that of the apical Cu-Cl(2) is 2.792(1)A. Pyridoxal fragment is coordinated in its zwitterionic form. In addition to the X-ray structural analysis, the complex was characterized by IR spectrometric, conductometric and magnetic techniques, and the ligand itself by IR, 1H and 13C NMR spectra.  相似文献

Two new dinuclear isophthalato-bridged copper(II) complexes [Cu2(ntb)2(μ-ipt)](ClO4)2·4CH3OH·0.33H2O (1), [Cu2(bbma)2(μ-ipt)(NO3)(CH3OH)]NO3·CH3OH (2) and one mononuclear complex [Cu(bbma)(ipt)(CH3OH)0.67(H2O)0.33]·2CH3OH (3) containing tetradentate and tridentate poly-benzimidazole ligands were synthesized, where ntb is tris(2-benzimidazolylmethyl)amine, bbma is bis(benzimidazol-2-yl-methyl)amine and ipt is isophthalate dianion. All of the complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, IR spectra and X-ray crystallography. The structures of complexes 1 and 2 consist of μ-ipt bridging two Cu(II) centers in a bis(monodentate) bonding fashion. The coordination geometry around the Cu(II) ions of both compounds has a distorted square pyramidal geometry. The Cu···Cu distances are 9.142 and 10.435 Å for 1 and 2, respectively. Complex 3 has a distorted square pyramidal geometry achieved by the three N-atoms of the bbma ligand, one isophthalate-oxygen atom and one oxygen atom from a coordinated methanol molecule. The magnetic susceptibility measurements at variable temperature over the 2-300 K range for complexes 1 and 2 are reported, with J values to be −0.013 and −0.32 cm−1, respectively. The results show that the two complexes exhibit very weak antiferromagnetic interactions between the dinuclear copper(II) centers.  相似文献

Copper(II) complexes of a series of linear pentadentate ligands containing two benzimidazoles, two thioether sulfurs and a amine nitrogen, viz. N,N-bis{4-(2″-benzimidazolyl)(methyl)-3-thiabutyl}amine(L1), N,N-bis{4-(2″-benzimidazolyl)(methyl)-3-thiabutyl}N-methylamine (L2), 2,6-bis{4-(2″-benzimidazolyl)(methyl)-3-thiabutyl}pyridine(L3), N,N-bis{4-(2″-benzimidazolyl)-2-thiabutyl}amine (L4), N,N-bis{4-(2″-benzimidazolyl)-2-thiabutyl}N-methylamine (L5) and 2,6-bis{4-(2″-benzimidazolyl)-2-thiabutyl}-3pyridine (L6) have been isolated and characterized by electronic absorption and EPR spectroscopy and cyclic and differential pulse voltammetry. Of these complexes, [Cu(L1)](BF4)2 (1) and [Cu(L2)](BF4)2 (4) have been structurally characterized by X-ray crystallography. The coordination geometries around copper(II) in 1 and 4 are described as trigonal bipyramidal distorted square based pyramidal geometry (TBDSBP). The distorted CuN3S basal plane in them is comprised of amine nitrogen, one thioether sulphur and two benzimidazole nitrogens and the other thioether sulfur is axially coordinated. The ligand field spectra of all the complexes are consistent with a mostly square-based geometry in solution. The EPR spectra of complexes [Cu(L1)](BF4)2 (1), [Cu(L1)](NO3)2 (2), [Cu(L2)](BF4)2 (4) and [Cu(L3)](ClO4)2 (6) are consistent with two species indicating the dissociation/disproportionation of the complex species in solution. All the complexes exhibit an intense CT band in the range 305-395 nm and show a quasireversible to irreversible CuII/CuI redox process with relatively positive E1/2 values, which are consistent with the presence of two-coordinated thioether groups. The addition of N-methylimidazole (mim) replaces the coordinated thioether ligands in solution, as revealed from the negative shift (222-403 mV) in the CuII/CuI redox potential. The present study reveals that the effect of incorporating an amine nitrogen donor into CuN2S2 complexes is to generate an axial copper(II)-thioether coordination and also to enforce lesser trigonality on the copper(II) coordination geometry.  相似文献

A new distorted square planar (two CuN2 planes making an angle of ∼43°) copper(II) complex [Cu(L4)] · 0.5EtOH · 0.5MeOH (1) of a deprotonated tetradentate pyridine amide ligand [H2L4 = N,N′-bis(2-pyridinecarboxamide)-2,2′-biphenyl] has been synthesized and structurally characterized. Absorption and EPR spectroscopic properties have also been studied. The E1/2 values (CuII/CuI redox process) of the title complex along with a selected group of structurally characterized CuN4 pyridine amide complexes with systematically varied structural, electronic/steric, and chelate-ring size effects, imposed by the coordinating ligands, have been determined and the observed trend has been rationalized.  相似文献

Copper(II) and nickel(II) complexes of potentially N2O4 Schiff base ligands 2-({[2-(2-{2-[(1-{2-hydroxy-5-[2-phenyl-1-diazenyl]phenyl}methylidene)amino] phenoxy}ethoxy) phenyl]imino}methyl)4-[2-phenyl-1-diazenyl]phenol (H2L1) and 2-({[2-(4-{2-[(1-{2-hydroxy-5-[2-phenyl-1-diazenyl]phenyl}methylidene)amino] phenoxy}butoxy) phenyl]imino}methyl)4-[2-phenyl-1-diazenyl]phenol (H2L2) prepared of 5-phenylazo salicylaldehyde (1) and two various diamines 2-[2-(2-aminophenoxy)ethoxy]aniline (2) and 2-[4-(2-aminophenoxy)butoxy]aniline (3) were synthesized and characterized by a variety of physico-chemical techniques. The single-crystal X-ray diffractions are reported for CuL1 and NiL2. The CuL1 complex contains copper(II) in a near square-planar environment of N2O2 donors. The NiL2 complex contains nickel(II) in a distorted octahedral geometry coordination of N2O4 donors. In all complexes, H2L1 behaves as a tetradentate and H2L2 acts as a hexadentate ligand. Cyclic voltammetry of copper(II) complexes indicate a quasi-reversible redox wave in the negative potential range.  相似文献

The 1:1 condensation of 1,2-diaminopropane and 1-phenylbutane-1,3-dione at high dilution gives a mixture of two positional isomers of terdentate mono-condensed Schiff bases 6-amino-3-methyl-1-phenyl-4-aza-2-hepten-1-one (HAMPAH) and 6-amino-3,5-dimethyl-1-phenyl-4-aza-2-hexen-1-one (HADPAH). The mixture of the terdentate ligands has been used for further condensation with pyridine-2-carboxaldehyde or 2-acetylpyridine to obtain the unsymmetrical tetradentate Schiff base ligands. The tetradentate Schiff bases are then allowed to react with the methanol solution of copper(II) and nickel(II) perchlorate separately. The X-ray diffraction confirms the structures of two of the complexes and shows that the condensation site of the diamine with 1-phenylbutane-1,3-dione is the same.  相似文献

The copper(II) complexes [Cu(PyTT)2(H2O)](NO3)2 (A) and [CuCl2(μ-PyTT)2CuCl(H2O)]Cl · 3H2O (B) were synthesized and characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction, IR spectroscopy, UV-Vis-NIR diffuse reflectance and magnetic susceptibility measurements. In the mononuclear compound A the copper ion is in a distorted square pyramidal geometry, with the equatorial plane formed by two thiazoline nitrogen atoms, one imino nitrogen atom and one water molecule, whereas the axial site is occupied by one imino nitrogen atom. The compound B is dinuclear and both Cu(II) centres present environments that can be described as slightly distorted square pyramidal geometries. The observed molar magnetic susceptibility for A (μ=2.13 BM) allows to exclude metal-metal interactions, supporting a monomeric structural formulation for this compound. In compound B, magnetic susceptibility measurements in the temperature range 6.2-288 K show an intradimer antiferromagnetic interaction (J=−11.8 cm−1).  相似文献

Four novel nicotinato-copper(II) complexes containing polybenzimidazole and polyamine ligands were synthesized with formula [Cu2(bbma)2(nic)2](ClO4)2·CH3OH·0.5H2O (1), [Cu2(dien)2(nic)2](ClO4)2·2CH3OH (2), [Cu(ntb)(nic)]ClO4·H2O (3) and [Cu(tren)(nic)]BPh4·CH3OH·H2O (4), in which bbma is bis(benzimidazol-2-yl-methyl)amine, dien is diethylenetriamine, ntb is tris(2-benzimidazolylmethyl)amine, tren is tris(2-aminoethyl)amine and nic is nicotinate anion. All of the complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, IR and X-ray diffraction analysis. Complexes 1 and 2 contain centrosymmetric dinuclear entity with the two Cu(II) atoms bridged by two nicotinate anions in an anti-parallel mode. The Cu···Cu separation is 7.109 Å for 1 and 6.979 Å for 2. Complexes 3 and 4 are mononuclear with nicotinate coordinated to Cu(II) ion by the carboxylate O atom in 3 and the pyridine N atom in 4. All of the complexes exhibit abundant hydrogen bonds to form 1D chain for 1, 3, 4 and 2D network for 2. Magnetic susceptibility measurements over the 2-300 K range reveal very weak ferromagnetic interaction between the two Cu(II) ions in 1 and antiferromagnetic interaction in 2 mediated by nicotinate ligand, with J value to be 0.15 and −0.19 cm−1, respectively.  相似文献

A novel dinuclear copper(I) complex, [Cu22-SH)2(PPh3)3] (1) (PPh3 = triphenylphosphine) has been prepared by the reaction of CuCl with triphenylphosphine and mercaptopropanoic acid (MPA) mixed in the ratio of 1:1:1. In the molecular structure of 1, two copper atoms are bridged by S atoms of two monohydrogensulfido anions forming a four-membered ring. The planar Cu2S2 core is characterized by significant cuprophilic interactions (Cu-Cu distance = 2.897 ?). One copper atom in 1 is coordinated with two sulfur atoms and one phosphorus atom of PPh3 adopting a trigonal planar geometry, while the coordination environment around the other copper center is distorted tetrahedral that is completed by two sulfur atoms of SH groups and two phosphorus atoms of PPh3 molecules.  相似文献
