We have prepared and structurally characterized six-coordinate Fe(II), Co(II), and Ni(II) complexes of types [MII(HL1)2(H2O)2][ClO4]2 (M = Fe, 1; Co, 3; and Ni, 5) and [MII(HL2)3][ClO4]2 · MeCN (M = Fe, 2 and Co, 4) of bidentate pyridine amide ligands, N-(phenyl)-2-pyridinecarboxamide (HL1) and N-(4-methylphenyl)-2-pyridinecarboxamide (HL2). The metal centers in bis(ligand)-diaqua complexes 1, 3 and 5 are coordinated by two pyridyl N and two amide O atoms from two HL1 ligands and six-coordination is completed by coordination of two water molecules. The complexes are isomorphous and possess trans-octahedral geometry. The metal centers in isomorphous tris(ligand) complexes 2 and 4 are coordinated by three pyridyl N and three amide O atoms from three HL2 ligands. The relative dispositions of the pyridine N and amide O atoms reveal that the pseudo-octahedral geometry have the meridional stereochemistry. To the best of our knowledge, this work provides the first examples of structurally characterized six-coordinate iron(II) complexes in which the coordination is solely by neutral pyridine amide ligands providing pyridine N and amide O donor atoms, with or without water coordination. Careful analyses of structural parameters of 1-5 along with that reported in the literature [MII(HL1)2(H2O)2][ClO4]2 (M = Cu and Zn) and [CoIII(L2)3] have allowed us to arrive at a number of structural correlations/generalizations. The complexes are uniformly high-spin. Spectroscopic (IR and UV/Vis) and redox properties of the complexes have also been investigated.  相似文献

The ligand 1,3-bis[3-(2-pyridyl)pyrazol-1-yl]propane (L8) has afforded six-coordinate monomeric and dimeric complexes [(L8)CoII(H2O)2][ClO4]2 (1), [(L8)NiII(MeCN)2][BPh4]2 (2), [(L8)NiII(O2CMe)][BPh4] (3), and . The crystal structures of 1, 2 · MeCN, 3, and 4 revealed that the ligand L8 is flexible enough to expand its coordinating ability by fine-tuning the angle between the chelating fragments and hence folds around cobalt(II)/nickel(II) centers to act as a tetradentate chelate, allowing additional coordination by two trans-H2O, cis-MeCN, and a bidentate acetate affording examples of distorted octahedral , , and coordination. The angles between the two CoN2/NiN2 planes span a wide range 23.539(1)° (1), 76.934(8)° (2), and 69.874(14)° (3). In contrast, complex 4 is a bis-μ-1,3-acetato-bridged (syn-anti coordination mode) dicobalt(II) complex [Co?Co separation: 4.797(8) Å] in which L8 provides terminal bidentate pyridylpyrazole coordination to each cobalt(II) center. To our knowledge, this report provides first examples of such a coordination versatility of L8. Absorption spectral studies (MeCN solution) have been done for all the complexes. Complexes 1-3 are uniformly high-spin. Temperature-dependent (2-300 K) magnetic studies on 4 reveal weak ferromagnetic exchange coupling between two cobalt(II) (S = 3/2) ions. The best-fit parameters obtained are: Δ (axial splitting parameter) = −765(5) cm−1, λ (spin-orbit coupling) = −120(3) cm−1, k (orbital reduction factor) = 0.93, and J (magnetic exchange coupling constant) = +1.60(2) m−1.  相似文献

A new potentially tridentate ligand HL11 consisting of 2-pyridinecarboxamide unit and azo functionality has been used, in its deprotonated form, to prepare a nickel(II) complex which has been structurally characterized. The ligand L11(−) affords a bis-complex [NiII(L11)2] (1). In 1, the two L11(−) ligands bind to the NiII center in a mer configuration. The relative orientations within the pairs of pyridyl-N, deprotonated amido-N, and azo-N atoms are cis, trans, and cis, respectively. The NiIIN2(pyridyl)N′2(amide)N″2(azo) coordination environment is severely distorted from ideal octahedral geometry. The Ni-Nam (am = amide) bond lengths are the shortest and the Ni-Nazo bond lengths are the longest. Complex 1 exhibits a quasireversible NiIII/NiII redox process. Moreover, the complex displays two ligand-centered (azo group) quasireversible redox processes. Spectroscopic (absorption and EPR) properties have been studied on coulometrically-generated nickel(III) species. To understand the nature of metal-ligand bonding interactions Density Functional Theory (DFT) calculations have been performed on 1 at the B3LYP level of theory. Calculations have also been done for closely related nickel(II) complexes of deprotonated pyridine amide ligands and comparative discussion has been made using observed results.  相似文献

Synthesis and crystal structure of two coordination polymers of composition [MnII(H2bpbn)1.5][ClO4]2 · 2MeOH · 2H2O (1) and [CoII(H2bpbn)(H2O)2]Cl2 · H2O (2) [H2bpbn = N,N′-bis(2-pyridinecarboxamido)-1,4-butane], formed from the reaction between [Mn(H2O)6][ClO4]2/CoCl2 · 4H2O with H2bpbn in MeCN, are described. In 1 each MnII ion is surrounded by three pyridine amide units, providing three pyridine nitrogen and three amide oxygen donors. Each MnII center in 1 has distorted MnN3O3 coordination. In 2 each CoII ion is coordinated by two pyridine amide moieties in the equatorial plane and two water molecules provide coordination in the axial positions. Thus, the metal center in 2 has trans-octahedral geometry. In both 1 and 2, the existence of 1D zigzag network structure has been revealed. Owing to π-π stacking of pyridine rings from adjacent layers 1 forms 2D network; 2 forms 2D and 3D network assemblies via N-H?Cl and O-H?Cl secondary interactions. Both the metal centers are high-spin.  相似文献

A series of new binuclear copper (II) and nickel (II) complexes of the macrocyclic ligands bis(1,4,7-triazacyclononan-1-yl)butane (Lbut) and bis(1,4,7-triazacyclononan-1-yl)-m-xylene (Lmx) have been synthesized: [Cu2LbutBr4] (1), [Cu2Lbut(imidazole)2Br2](ClO4)2 (2), [Cu2Lmx(μ-OH)(imidazole)2](ClO4)3 (3), [Cu2Lbut(imidazole)4](ClO4)4 · H2O (4), [Cu2Lmx(imidazole)4](ClO4)4 (5), [Ni2 Lbut(H2O)6](ClO4)4 · 2H2O (6), [Ni2Lbut(imidazole)6](ClO4)4 · 2H2O (7) and [Ni2Lmx (imidazole)4(H2O)2](ClO4)4 · 3H2O (8). Complexes 1, 2, 7 and 8 have been characterized by single crystal X-ray studies. In each of the complexes, the two tridentate 1,4,7-triazacyclononane rings of the ligand facially coordinate to separate metal centres. The distorted square-pyramidal coordination sphere of the copper (II) centres is completed by bromide anions in the case of 1 and/or monodentate imidazole ligands in complexes 2, 4 and 5. Complex 3 has been formulated as a monohydroxo-bridged complex featuring two terminal imidazole ligands. Complexes 6-8 feature distorted octahedral nickel (II) centres with water and/or monodentate imidazole ligands occupying the remaining coordination sites. Within the crystal structures, the ligands adopt trans conformations, with the two metal binding compartments widely separated, perhaps as a consequence of electrostatic repulsion between the cationic metal centres. The imidazole-bearing complexes may be viewed as simple models for the coordinative interaction of the binuclear complexes of bis (tacn) ligands with protein molecules bearing multiple surface-exposed histidine residues.  相似文献

A new bis(macrocycle) ligand, 7,7-(2-hydoxypropane-1,3-diyl)-bis{3,7,11,17-tetraazabicyclo[11.3.1]heptadeca-1(17),13,15-triene} (HL), and its dicopper(II) ([Cu2(HL)Cl2](NO3)2 · 4H2O (4a), [Cu2(HL)I2]I2 · H2O (4b)) and dinickel(II) ([Ni2(L)(OH2)](ClO4)3 (5a), [Ni2(L)(OH2)]I3 · 2H2O (5b), [Ni2(L)N3](N3)2 · 7H2O (5c)) complexes have been synthesized. The alkoxide bridged face-to-face structure of the dinickel(II) complex 5c has been revealed by X-ray crystallography, as well as the “half-opened clamshell” form of the bis(macrocyclic) dicopper(II) complex 4b. Variable temperature magnetic susceptibility studies have indicated that there exists intramolecular antiferromagnetic coupling (J=−33.8 cm−1 (5a), −32.5 cm−1 (5b), and −29.7 cm−1 (5c)) between the two nickel(II) ions in the nickel(II) complexes.  相似文献

Based on their MP2 optimized structures in the ground states, we obtained solution absorption spectra for trans-[PtII(CCR)2(PH3)2] (R = H (1) and Ph (2)) and trans-[PtII(CCH)2(PH2CH2PH2)]2 (3) under the time-dependent density functional theory calculations. These absorptions agree with experimental observations. The unrestricted MP2 optimization performed for 3 in the lowest-energy triplet excited state shows that upon excitation the PtPt distance shortens about 0.347 Å with respect to the 3.188 Å one in the ground state. The UMP2 calculations estimated that its 3(dz2)σ(pz)] excited state produces the 531 nm emission, corresponding to the 580 nm one of trans-[PtII(CCPh)2(PPh2CH2PPh2)]2 in the solid state at 298 K.  相似文献

One-dimensional (1-D) helical coordination polymers, [MII(H2O)3(BPDC)]n · nH2O (M = Co (1), Fe (2)), have been prepared by the self-assembly of cobalt(II) and iron(II) ions, respectively, with 2,2′-bipyridyl-3,3′-dicarboxylic acid (H2BPDC) in an aqueous solution. X-ray crystal structures of compounds 1 and 2 show that each metal ion displays a distorted octahedral coordination geometry including three water oxygen atoms, one oxygen atom of the carboxylate of a BPDC2− belonging to the adjacent metal ion and two nitrogen atoms from the BPDC2− acting as a chelating ligand. In 1 and 2, one carboxylate oxygen atom of coordinated BPDC2− binds to the neighboring metal ion, which give rise to 1-D helical coordination polymers. The helical chains of 1 and 2 are linked by the hydrogen bonding interactions between the carboxylate oxygen atom of the BPDC2− ion belonging to a chain and the water molecule of the adjacent helical chain, which lead to 2-D networks extending along the ab plane. The supramolecules 1 and 2 show isomorphous structures regardless of the metal ions.  相似文献

Complexes [Cu(HSas)(H2O)] · 2H2O (H3Sas = N-(2-hydroxybenzyl)-l-aspartic acid) (1), [Cu(HMeSglu)(H2O)] · 2H2O (H3MeSglu = (N-(2-hydroxy-5-methylbenzyl)-l-glutamic acid) (2), [Cu2(Smet)2] (H2Smet = (N-(2-hydroxybenzyl)-l-methionine) (3), [Ni(HSas)(H2O)] (4), [Ni2(Smet)2(H2O)2] (5), and [Ni(HSapg)2] (H2Sapg = (N-(2-hydroxybenzyl)-l-aspargine) (6) have been synthesized and characterized by chemical and spectroscopic methods. Structural determination by single crystal X-ray diffraction studies revealed 1D coordination polymeric structures in 2 and 4, and hydrogen-bonded network structure in 5 and 6. In contrast to previously reported coordination compounds with similar ligands, the phenol remains protonated and bonded to the metal ions in 2 and 4, and also probably in 1. However, the phenolic group is non-bonded in 6.  相似文献

The dinuclear terephthalato-bridged nickel(II) complexes [Ni2(cyclen)2(μ-tp)](ClO4)2 (1) [Ni2(trpn)2(μ-tp)(H2O)2](ClO4)2 (2) and [Ni2(3,3,3-tet)2(μ-tp)(H2O)2](ClO4)2 · 2H2O (3), where tp = terephthalate dianion, cyclen = 1,4,7,10-tetraazacyclododecane, trpn = tris(3-aminopropyl)amine and 3,3,3-tet = 1,5,9,13-tetraazatridecane, were synthesized and structurally characterized by X-ray crystallography. Their magnetic susceptibilities were also determined at variable temperatures over the range 2-300 K. The structures of these complexes consist of μ-tp bridging two Ni(II) centers in a bis(bidentate) bonding fashion in 1 and in bis(monodentate) bonding fashion in 2 and 3. The coordination geometry around the Ni(II) ions in these compounds has a distorted octahedral geometry with four nitrogen atoms from the amine ligand (cyclen, trpn or 3,3,3-tet) and two coordinated oxygen atoms supplied by the chelated carboxylate group of the bridged terephthalate ligand in 1, and by one tp-carboxylate-oxygen in 2 and 3. The sixth coordination site in the last two complexes 2 and 3 is achieved via an oxygen atom from a coordinated water molecule. The intradimer Ni…Ni distances in these complexes are 10.740, 11.428 and 11.537 Å for 1, 2 and 3, respectively. The electronic spectra of the complexes in aqueous solutions are in complete agreement with the assigned X-ray geometry around the Ni(II) centers. Also, the analysis of the infrared spectral data for the ν(COO) stretching frequencies of the tp-carboxalato groups reveals the existence of the bis(bidentate) and bis(monodentate) coordination modes for the bridged terephthalate ligand in 1, 2 and 3, respectively. Despite the different coordination modes of the tp bridging ligand in these complexes, they all exhibit very weak antiferromagnetic coupling. The coupling constants J were found to be −2.2, −0.6 and −1.5 cm3 K mol−1 for the complexes 1, 2 and 3, respectively. The structural and magnetic results of 1-3 are discussed in relation to the other related published μ-terephthalato dinuclear Ni(II) compounds.  相似文献

A series of Ni(II) and Cu(II) complexes of the hexaaza macrocycles, 3,6,9,17,20,23-hexaazatricyclo[23.3.1.111,15]triaconta-1(29),11(30),12,14,25,27-hexaene (L1) and 3,6,9,16,19,22-hexaazatricyclo[22.2.2.211,14]triaconta-1(26),11(29),12,14(30),24(28),25-hexaene (L2), have been prepared and the crystal structures determined for [Ni2L1(O2CCH3)2(H2O)2](ClO4)2 (1), [Ni2L2(DMF)6](ClO4)4 · 2H2O (2), {[Cu2L2Br(O2CCH3)](ClO4)2}n (3), [Cu2L2(μ-CO3)(H2O)2]2(ClO4)4 · 8H2O (4), [Cu2L2(O2CCH3)2](BF4)2 (5), and [Cu2L1(μ-imidazolate)Br]2Br4 · 6H2O (6). In these complexes, two metal centers are bound per ligand; in 1 and 3-6, the N3 subunits of L1 or L2 coordinate meridionally to the metal centers, whilst in 2, each N3 subunit in L2 adopts a facial mode of coordination. The binuclear cations in 1 and 2 have chair-like conformations, with the distorted octahedral Ni(II) coordination spheres completed by terminal water and a bidentate acetate ligand in 1 and three DMF ligands in 2. The Cu(II) centers in 3-6 generally reside in square planar environments, although a weakly binding ligand enters the coordination sphere in some cases, generating a distorted square pyramidal geometry. The binuclear [Cu2L2]4+ units in 3, 4 and 5 adopt similar bowl-shaped conformations, stabilized by H-bonding interactions between pairs of amine groups from L2 and a perchlorate or tetrafluoroborate anion. In 3, the binuclear units are linked through acetate groups, bridging in a syn-anti fashion, to produce a zig-zag polymeric chain structure, whilst 4 incorporates a tetrameric cation consisting of two binuclear units linked via a pair of carbonate bridges. Compound 6 features an imidazolate bridge between the two Cu(II) centers bound by L1. Pairs of [Cu2L1(μ-imidazolate)]3+ units are then weakly linked through a pair of bromide anions.  相似文献

Bidentate ligands 2,2′-biquinoline (biq) and 6,6′-dimethyl-2,2′-bipyridine (dmbpy) with steric hindrance substituents cis to the nitrogen atoms have been used in the synthesis of transition metal complexes. Six new doubly end-on azido-bridged binuclear complexes [M2(biq)21,1-N3)2(N3)2] (M = Ni (1), M = Co (2)), [M2(biq)21,1-N3)2Cl2] (M = Ni (3), M = Co (4)), [M2(dmbpy)21,1-N3)2(N3)2] (M = Ni (5), M = Co (6)) and one end-to-end thiocyanato-bridged polymeric [Ni(dmbpy)(μ1,3-SCN)(NCS)]n (7) have been synthesized and characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis and magnetic studies. Complexes 1-6 comprise five-coordinate M(II) ions bridged by two end-on azide ligands. The bridging M-N-M bond angles are in the small range 104.1-105.2°. Complex 7 consists of a singly thiocyanate-bridged Ni(II) chain in which Ni(II) ions are five-coordinate. This research suggests that the bulky ligands play a key role in the formation of five-coordinate coordination structure. All complexes display intramolecular intermetallic ferromagnetic coupling with JNiNi and JCoCo of ca. 23 or 13 cm−1 based on the Hamiltonian (S1 = S2 = 1 for Ni2, or 3/2 for Co2). The singly SCN-bridged chainlike complex 7 shows intrachain ferromagnetic interaction with J = 3.96(2) cm−1 and D = −4.55(8) cm−1 (. Magneto-structural correlationship has been investigated.  相似文献

The novel dimer of the composition [Pt2Cl4(μ-(κP1:κP2-o-MeO-trans-dppen))2] (1) (o-MeO-trans-dppen = 1,2-(bis(o-methoxyphenyl)phosphanyl)ethylene) has been prepared and characterized by a single crystal X-ray structure analysis, NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry and elemental analysis. This latter compound undergoes a [2+2] photocycloaddition reaction yielding the tetraphosphane all-trans-1,2,3,4-tetrakis(di(o-methoxyphenyl)phosphanyl)cyclobutane (o-MeO-dppcb). The X-ray structure of the dimeric Ni(II) complex that contains the latter ligand, of the formula [Ni2Cl4(μ-(κP1:κP2:κP3:κP4-o-MeO-dppcb))] (2) reveals that the apical coordination sites of both square pyramidal Ni(II) coordination spheres are occupied by methoxy-oxygen atoms of the ligand. As a consequence, this dimeric Ni(II) complex 2 is prone to a thermally induced regio- and diastereoselective metal-assisted methoxy-group cleavage. The stepwise formed new mono- and bis-phenolate complexes [Ni2Cl3(μ-(κO1,κP1:κP2:κP3:κP4-o-MeO-O-dppcb))] (3) and [Ni2Cl2(μ-(κO1,κP1:κP2:κO2,κP3:κP4-o-MeO-O,O′-dppcb))] (4), respectively, contain the novel chiral tetraphosphane ligands all-trans-1,2,3-tris((di-o-methoxyphenyl)phosphano)-4-((o-methoxy-phenyl)(o-phenolate)phosphano)cyclobutane (o-MeO-O-dppcb) and all-trans-1,2-bis((di-o-methoxyphenyl)phosphano)-3,4-bis((o-methoxyphenyl)(o-phenolate)phosphano)cyclobutane (o-MeO-O,O′-dppcb). Compounds 3 and 4 have been synthesized independently and are also fully characterized by both single crystal X-ray structure analyses, NMR spectroscopy, mass spectrometry and elemental analyses. The conversion of 2 into 3 and then further into 4 has been followed by a variable-temperature 31P{1H} NMR experiment with compound 2 in DMF-d7, revealing that the cleavage of the second methoxy group is kinetically disfavoured. This is in agreement with the X-ray structure analysis of 3, indicating the lack of any methoxy-oxygen atom coordination that could easily induce a further methoxy-group cleavage. o-MeO-O-dppcb and o-MeO-O,O′-dppcb are rare P-stereogenic tetraphosphine ligands and contribute to the synthetic field of new κ3-P,P,O-coordinating phosphanylphenolate ligands that are believed to be important for the SHOP process (SHOP, Shell Higher Olefin Process).  相似文献

A systematic investigation of the CuCl2/Mebta (Mebta = 1-methylbenzotriazole) reaction system is described, involving the determination of the influence of the CuII:Mebta ratio, the nature of solvent and the presence of counterions on the identity of the reaction products. As a consequence, complexes [Cu2Cl4(Mebta)4] (1), [CuCl2(Mebta)2] (2), {[Cu2Cl4(Mebta)2]}n (3), [Cu4OCl6(Mebta)4] · 0.25H2O (4 · 0.25H2O) and [Cu2Cl2(Mebta)6](ClO4)2 (5) have been isolated and structurally characterized by single-crystal X-ray studies. Mebta behaves as a monodentate ligand binding through N(3). 1 is a dinuclear complex, the structure of 2 consists of discrete monomeric units, and that of 3 is composed of linear, well-separated polymeric chains of CuII atoms. The molecules of 4 · 0.25H2O have a central μ4-oxide ion surrounded tetrahedrally by four CuII atoms. In the cations of 5 the two CuII centres are asymmetrically bridged by two chloro ligands, with three Mebta molecules completing five coordination at each metal. Complexes were characterized by spectroscopic (IR, far-IR, solution UV/Vis) and thermal decomposition (TG, DTG, and DTA) techniques. Variable-temperature magnetic susceptibility data for 1, 3 and 5 showed intramolecular (1, 5) and intrachain (3) ferromagnetic exchange interactions. Estimates of the Jparameters, experimentally derived, were in close agreement with a new magneto-structural criterion developed by us, holding for bis(μ-chloro) copper(II) dimers. A comparison between the CuCl2/Mebta and CuBr2/Mebta systems is also presented.  相似文献

Two new coordination polymers [Cd(dps)2Cl2] (1) and [Co(dps)2(H2O)2]·(abs)2(H2O)2 (2) (dps = 4, 4′-dipyridylsulfide, Habs = 4-amino benzenesulfonic acid) have been synthesized under similar conditions and characterized by elemental analysis, fluorescence spectra and single crystal X-ray diffraction. Compound 1 displays a dps-bridged 2D puckered, grid-like layer, which is further linked by C-H?Cl hydrogen bonds to form a 3D supramolecular architecture. Compound 2 shows a dps-bridged double-stranded chain structure, which is extended by N-H?O and O-H?O hydrogen bonds generating a 3D network. Solid-state fluorescence results reveal that both complexes can emit strong emission bands, at 467 nm and 518 nm for 1 and 344 nm for 2, respectively. Magnetic measurements show that there are weak antiferromagnetic interactions between the adjacent Co(II) ions in 2.  相似文献

Four new zinc(II) cyclams of the composition {Zn(L)(tp2−) · H2O}n (1), {Zn(L)(H2bta2−) · 2H2O}n (2), [Zn2(L)2(ox2−)] 2ClO4 · 2DMF (3), and Zn(L)(H2btc)2 · 2DMF (4), where L = cyclam, tp2− = 1,4-benzenedicarboxylate ion, H2bta2− = 1,2,4,5-benzenetetracarboxylate ion, ox2− = oxalate ion, DMF = N,N-dimethylformamide, and H2btc = 1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylate ion, have been synthesized and structurally characterized by a combination of analytical, spectroscopic and crystallographic methods. The carboxylato ligands in the complexes 1-4 show strong coordination tendencies toward zinc(II) cyclams with hydrogen bonding interactions between the pre-organized N-H groups of the macrocycle and oxygen atoms of the carboxylato ligands. The macrocycles in 1, 2, and 4 adopt trans-III configurations with the appropriate R,R,S,S arrangement of the four chiral nitrogen centers, respectively. However, the complex 3 shows an unusual cis V conformation with the R,R,R,R nitrogen configuration. The finding of strong interactions between the carboxylato ligands and the zinc(II) ions may provide additional knowledge for the improved design of receptor-targeted zinc(II) cyclams in anti-HIV agents.  相似文献

Reaction of cis-[Ru(acac)22-C8H14)2] (1) (acac = acetylacetonato) with two equivalents of PiPr3 in THF at −25 °C gives trans-[Ru(acac)2(PiPr3)2], trans-3, which rapidly isomerizes to cis-3 at room temperature. The poorly soluble complex [Ru(acac)2(PCy3)2] (4), which is isolated similarly from cis-[Ru(acac)22-C2H4)2] (2) and PCy3, appears to exist in the cis-configuration in solution according to NMR data, although an X-ray diffraction study of a single crystal shows the presence of trans-4. In benzene or toluene 2 reacts with PiPr3 or PCy3 to give exclusively cis-[Ru(acac)22-C2H4)(L)] [L = PiPr3 (5), PCy3 (6)], whereas in THF species believed to be either square pyramidal [Ru(acac)2L], with apical L, or the corresponding THF adducts, can be detected by 31P NMR spectroscopy. Complexes 3-6 react with CO (1 bar) giving trans-[Ru(acac)2(CO)(L)] [L = PiPr3 (trans-8), PCy3 (trans-9)], which are converted irreversibly into the cis-isomers in refluxing benzene. Complex 5 scavenges traces of dinitrogen from industrial grade dihydrogen giving a bridging dinitrogen complex, cis-[{Ru(acac)2(PiPr3)} 2(μ-N2)] (10). The structures of cis-3, trans-4, 5, 6 and 10 · C6H14 have been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Complexes trans- and cis-3, 5, 6, cis-8, and trans- and cis-9 each show fully reversible one-electron oxidation by cyclic voltammetry in CH2Cl2 at −50 °C with E1/2(Ru3+/2+) values spanning −0.14 to +0.92 V (versus Ag/AgCl), whereas for the vinylidene complexes [Ru(acac)2 (CCHR)(PiPr3)] [R = SiMe3 (11), Ph (12)] the process is irreversible at potentials of +0.75 and +0.62 V, respectively. The trend in potentials reflects the order of expected π-acceptor ability of the ligands: PiPr3, PCy3 <C 2H4 < CCHR < CO. The UV-Vis spectrum of the thermally unstable, electrogenerated RuIII-ethene cation 6+ has been observed at −50 °C. Cyclic voltammetry of the μ-dinitrogen complex 10 shows two, fully reversible processes in CH2Cl2 at −50 °C at +0.30 and +0.90 V (versus Ag/AgCl) corresponding to the formation of 10+ (RuII,III) and 102+ (RuIII,III). The former, generated electrochemically at −50 °C, shows a band in the near IR at ca. 8900 cm−1 (w1/2 ca. 3700 cm−1) consistent with the presence of a valence delocalized system. A new series of dinuclear squarato-bridged nickel(II) and copper(II) complexes [Ni2(2,3,2-tet)21,3-C4O4)(H2O)2](ClO4)2 (1), [Ni2(aepn)21,3-C4O4)(H2O)2](ClO4)2 (2), [Cu2(pmedien)21,3-C4O4)(H2O)2](ClO4)2.4H2O (3) and [Cu2(DPA)21,2-C4O4)(H2O)2](ClO4)2 (4) where is the dianion of 3,4-dihydroxycyclobut-3-en-1,2-dione (squaric acid), 2,3,2-tet = 1,4,8,11-tetraazaundecane, aepn = N-(2-aminoethyl)-1,3-propanediamine, pmedien = N,N,N′,N″,N″-pentamethyldiethylenetriamine and DPA = di(2-pyridylmethyl)amine were synthesized and structurally characterized by X-ray crystallography. The spectral and structural characterization as well as the magnetic behaviour of these complexes is reported. In this series, structures consist of the groups as counter ions and the bridging the two M(II) centers in a μ-1,3- (1-3) and in a μ-1,2-bis(monodentate) (4) bonding fashions. The coordination geometry around the Ni(II) ions in 1 and 2 is six-coordinate with distorted octahedral environment achieved by N atoms of the amines and by one or two oxygen atoms from coordinated water molecules, respectively. In the Cu(II) complexes 3 and 4, a distorted square pyramidal geometry is achieved by the three N-atoms of the aepn or DPA and by an oxygen atom from a coordinated water molecule. The electronic spectra of the complexes in aqueous solutions are in complete agreement with the assigned X-ray geometry around the M(II) centers. The complexes show weak antiferromagnetic coupling with ∣J∣ = 1.8-4.2 cm−1 in the μ-1,3- bridged squarato compounds 1-3, and J = −16.1 cm−1 in the corresponding μ-1,2- bridged squarato complex 4. The magnetic properties are discussed in relation to the structural data.  相似文献

The reactions of salicylaldehyde oxime (H2salox) with CuII precursors yielded the known complexes [Cu(Hsalox)2] (1) and [Cu(Hsalox)2]n (2), as well as complexes [Cu3(salox)(L1)(L2)]·MeCN (3·MeCN), [CuCl(L1)] (4) and [Cu2Na(O2CMe)5(HO2CMe)]n (5), where L1 = o-O-C6H4-CHNO-C(CH3)NH and L23− = o-O-C6H4-CHNO-C(o-O-C6H4)N. L1 was formed in situ via the nucleophilic addition of the oximato O-atom of salox2− to the unsaturated nitrile group of the MeCN reaction solvent. L23− is also formed in situ probably through the nucleophilic attack of the oximato O-atom to the unsaturated nitrile group of salicylnitrile; the latter, although not directly added to the reaction mixture, can be produced via the dehydration of salox2−. Compounds 1 and 2 contain Hsalox bound to the metal center in two different coordination modes; they both contain the same mononuclear unit, however a 2D network is generated in 2 due to a relatively long Cu-Ooximato bond. Compound 3 contains three different ligands, i.e. salox2−, L1 and L23−, which act as μ32OO′:κN, κONN′ and μ32O2NO′:κN′, respectively, whereas 4 consists of a square planar CuII atom bound to a κONN′ L1 and a chloride ion. Compound 5 consists of dinuclear [Cu2(O2CMe)5(HO2CMe)] units and Na+ ions assembled into an overall 3D network structure. Magnetic susceptibility measurements from polycrystalline samples of 2 and 5 gave best-fit parameters J = +0.36 cm−1 (H = −J?i?j) and J = −360 cm−1, zj = +20 cm−1 (H = −J?i?j − zJ〈Sz?z), respectively.  相似文献

An asymmetric single EO azido bridged dinuclear copper(II) complex, [Cu2(dmterpy)2(μ-1,1-N3)(N3)2] · NO3 · (H2O)21 [dmterpy = 5,5″-dimethyl-2,2′:6′,2″-terpyridine], and a double EO azido bridged dinuclear nickel(II) complex, [Ni2(pbdiim)4(μ-1,1-N3)2] · 2(N3) · 6(H2O) 2 [pbdiim = 2-(2′-pyridyl)benzo[1,2-d:4,5-d′]diimidazole], have been synthesized and characterized structurally and magnetically. Compound 1 consists of a single EO azido bridged CuII dimer in which each CuII ion is five-coordinated in the form of a distorted square-based pyramid. The N(μ−1,1) atom holds on the apical position of one CuII pyramid with an elongated bond length of 2.305 Å and on the basal plane of another distorted CuII pyramid with a bond length of 1.991 Å. The Cu-N(μ−1,1)-Cu angle is 117.4 (2)°. The copper(II) dimer forms a 1 D zig-zag chain via hydrogen bondings between azide ions, water molecules and the nitrate anion. Compound 2 consists of a double EO azido bridged NiII dimer with the Ni-N(μ−1,1)-Ni bond angle of 102.96 (13)°. The coordination geometry of NiII is octahedral. Their magnetic properties have been measured in the range from 300 to 2 K and correlated with the molecular structures. Compound 1 shows weak ferromagnetic interactions within the copper(II) dimer (J = 2.88 cm−1), despite the large EO azide bridge angle (117.4 (2)°). The intramolecular coupling between the NiII (S = 1) ions in compound 2 was found to be ferromagnetic (J = 27.87 cm−1).  相似文献
