通过透射和扫描电镜观察了白肛海地瓜(Acaudina leucoprocta)的精子发生过程及其形态结构,揭示了白肛海地瓜精子发生时期一系列变化,其精子发生分为精原细胞、初级精母细胞、次级精母细胞、精细胞、成熟精子5个时期。精原细胞体积最大。精母细胞染色质开始凝集。精细胞前顶体颗粒形成。白肛海地瓜成熟精子的超微结构为原生型,由头部、中部、尾部组成,头部圆形,最前端为顶体,核染色质凝集成团块状,中部是线粒体和中心粒复合体融合成1个超大结构,尾部长约60μm,尾部鞭毛横切面为典型的"9+2"型结构。  相似文献

This study establishes the presence of spermatodesm in the seminal vesicles of sexually mature males of Crematogaster victima (Smith). In this species, the spermatozoa are maintained together by an extracellular matrix in which the acrosomal regions are embedded. This characteristic has not yet been observed in any other Aculeata. However, the sperm morphology in this species is similar to that described for other ants. The spermatozoa measure on average 100 μm in length, and the number of sperm per bundle is up to 256. They are composed of a head formed by the acrosome and nucleus; this is followed by the flagellum, which is formed by the centriolar adjunct, an axoneme with a 9?+?9?+?2 microtubule pattern, two mitochondrial derivatives, and two accessory bodies. The acrosome is formed by the acrosomal vesicle and perforatorium. The nucleus is filled with compact chromatin with many areas of thick and non-compacted filaments. Both mitochondrial derivatives have the same shape and diameters. The presence of sperm bundles in sexually mature males differentiates C. victima from other ants; however, the similarities in the sperm ultrastructure support the monophyly of this insect group.  相似文献

用光学显微镜和透射电子显微镜技术研究了瘤背石磺精子的结构特点,分析了其生理生态适应性以及在肺螺亚纲系统演化中的意义。瘤背石磺的精子由头部、中段和末段组成。头部由奶嘴形的顶体和长圆筒状的细胞核构成。顶体包括顶体囊和顶体构架体两部分;两者的内含物都分布均匀,电子密度稍低于细胞核;顶体基部平整,与核前端之间有一空隙,内含物电子密度极低。细胞核由电子密度高的均匀颗粒物质组成,并出现核泡;核的后端有一"杯形"的凹陷,称为核后窝。中段结构复杂,主要包括一对位于核后窝内的中心粒、轴丝、质膜、线粒体及由线粒体衍生的糖原质螺旋体、基质层和类晶体层等。末段由"9 2"结构的轴丝及外包的质膜组成,无糖原质螺旋体和其它线粒体衍生物。比较瘤背石磺精子与肺螺亚纲其它物种的精子结构,我们认为该物种的精子属于"进化型",是一类在进化地位中比基眼目高等的动物。  相似文献

Phylogenetic analysis of extensive nucleotide sequence data from primate beta-globin gene clusters elucidates the systematics and evolution of the order Primates and reveals that rates of accumulation of mutations vary by as much as a factor of seven among different primate lineages. The picture of primate phylogeny from DNA sequences clarifies many ambiguities of the morphological picture. In the molecular picture, dwarf and brown lemurs group together into superfamily Lemuroidea, Lemuroidea and Lorisoidea into suborder Strepsirhini, and Tarsius and Anthropoidea into suborder Haplorhini. The molecular picture also provides both significant evidence for a human-chimpanzee clade that narrowly excludes gorilla and overwhelming evidence for the gorilla-chimpanzee-human clade within Hominoidea. Rates of DNA sequence evolution appear to have been fastest in the early primates ancestral to Anthropoidea and next fastest on the lorisoid branch. Rates were slowest over the past 25 Myr of hominoid descent, suggesting that mechanisms lowering the mutation rate evolved in correlation with lengthened life spans.  相似文献

The sperm ultrastructure of a few species of Limoniidae (Limonia nigropunctata; L. nubeculosa; Chionea n. sp.; C. alpina; C. lutescens) was studied. The two species of Limonia have a monolayered acrosome with crystallized material, a three-lobed nucleus in cross section, a ring of centriole adjunct material and a flagellum which consists of a 9+9+1 axoneme and a single mitochondrial derivative. The central axonemal tubule is provided with 15 protofilaments in its tubular wall, while the accessory tubules have 13 protofilaments and are flanked by the electron-dense intertubular material. The three species of Chionea share a monolayered acrosome, a nucleus with two longitudinal grooves, a centriole adjunct material which surrounds the centriole and the initial part of the axoneme. The axoneme is of conventional type, with 9+9+2 microtubular pattern, with accessory tubules provided with 13 protofilaments and intertubular material. However, in C. lutescens the accessory tubules start with 15 protofilaments and transform into a tubule with 13 protofilaments. These data are discussed in the light of the phylogenetic relationship between Limoniidae and Tipulidae. For this purpose, the sperm ultrastructure of Nephrotoma appendiculata was also considered comparatively.  相似文献

Marine Cnidarian sperm consist of a head containing the nucleusand several electron dense vesicles. These vesicles aie anteriorto the nucleus in the Hydrozoan and Scyphozoan sperm and adjacentto the posterior legion of the nucleus in the Anthozoan sperm.They are Golgi in origin and do not coalesce. They may be aprimitive acrosome. Mitochondria may number four to five inthe Hydrozoan and Scyphozoan sperm while they form an aggregatein the Anthozoans. Both centrioles persist in the mature spermatozoa.The distal centriole gives rise to the long flagellum and hasassociated with it nine pericentriolar processes.  相似文献

The ultrastructure of the sperm of Scyllarus chacei has been examined. The sperm comprises a nucleus, lamellar region and acrosome. The nucleus contains uncondensed microtubules which originate from the subacrosomal region projecting from the body of the sperm. The unique acrosome is structurally complex. It contains homogeneous, scrolled and crystalline areas capped over by an umbrella-like structure having 40 projections.  相似文献

The ultrastructure of the sperm of the common bivalve species Mercenaria stimpsoni and Mactra chinensis from Peter the Great Bay is described. The sperm structure is typical for animals with external insemination. The sperm consists of a head, middle part, and flagellum. The sperm head of M. stimpsoni has a curved crescent form and includes the nucleus and acrosome; the head length is 9.8 μm. The acrosome is subdivided to the acrosome granule and the periacrosomal material. There are 4 mitochondria of about 0.8 μm in size in the middle part of the spermatozoon. The mitochondria surround the centriolar apparatus, which consists of proximal and distal centrioles located at a right angle. The axoneme originates from the distal centriole. The sperm of M. chinensis is barrel-shaped, with a head length of 3.2 μm. The acrosome is relatively larger, and its height is 1–1.2 μm. There are also 4 mitochondria 0.6–0.8 μm in the middle part of the spermatozoon. The sperm structure of the described species is typical of the families to which the mollusks belong, with insignificant variations.  相似文献

Evidence from DNA sequences on the phylogenetic systematics of primates is congruent with the evidence from morphology in grouping Cercopithecoidea (Old World monkeys) and Hominoidea (apes and humans) into Catarrhini, Catarrhini and Platyrrhini (ceboids or New World monkeys) into Anthropoidea, Lemuriformes and Lorisiformes into Strepsirhini, and Anthropoidea, Tarsioidea, and Strepsirhini into Primates. With regard to the problematic relationships of Tarsioidea, DNA sequences group it with Anthropoidea into Haplorhini. In addition, the DNA evidence favors retaining Cheirogaleidae within Lemuriformes in contrast to some morphological studies that favor placing Cheirogaleids in Lorisiformes. While parsimony analysis of the present DNA sequence data provides only modest support for Haplorhini as a monophyletic taxon, it provides very strong support for Hominoidea, Catarrhini, Anthropoidea, and Strepsirhini as monophyletic taxa. The parsimony DNA evidence also rejects the hypothesis that megabats are the sister group of either Primates or Dermoptera (flying lemur) or a Primate-Dermoptera clade and instead strongly supports the monophyly of Chiroptera, with megabats grouping with microbats at considerable distance from Primates. In contrast to the confused morphological picture of sister group relationships within Hominoidea, orthologous noncoding DNA sequences (spanning alignments involving as many as 20,000 base positions) now provide by the parsimony criterion highly significant evidence for the sister group relationships defined by a cladistic classification that groups the lineages to all extant hominoids into family Hominidae, divides this ape family into subfamilies Hylobatinae (gibbons) and Homininae, divides Homininae into tribes Pongini (orangutans) and Hominini, and divides Hominini into subtribes Gorillina (gorillas) and Hominina (humans and chimpanzees). A likelihood analysis of the largest body of these noncoding orthologues and counts of putative synapomorphies using the full range of sequence data from mitochondrial and nuclear genomes also find that humans and chimpanzees share the longest common ancestry. © 1994 Wiley-Liss, Inc.  相似文献

Previous studies of insect spermatozoa indicate that these specialized cells have undergone significant morphological evolution and exhibit traits useful for reconstructing phylogenetic relationships. Although leafhoppers (Cicadellidae) are among the largest and most economically important insect families, few comparative studies of their spermatozoa have been published. Here, the ultrastructure of mature spermatozoa of two leafhoppers Psammotettix striatus (Linnaeus) and Exitianus nanus (Distant), representing two different tribes of the largest leafhopper subfamily, Deltocephalinae, was examined by light and transmission electron microscopy. The shape and ultrastructure of spermatozoa of the two species are very similar to those of other Cicadellidae as well as other Auchenorrhyncha, comprising a conical acrosome invaginated to form a subacrosomal space, a filiform homogeneously condensed nucleus, a lamellate centriolar adjunct connecting the nucleus with the mid-piece/flagellum, a long flagellum with a 9 + 9 + 2 axoneme pattern and two symmetrical mitochondrial derivatives with an orderly array of peripheral cristae, and two drop-shaped accessory bodies. They may be distinguished by the size of the sperm, and the shape of the nucleus, accessory bodies, and paracrystalline region of mitochondrial derivatives. The fine morphology and ultrastructure of spermatozoon in P. striatus and E. nanus are illustrated, along with a brief discussion of the implications for classification and phylogenetic analyses of the subfamily.  相似文献

The sperm of Microstigmus arlei and Microstigmus nigrophthalmus are twisted in a spiral and consist of two regions: the head, formed by an acrosome and a nucleus, and the flagellum, formed by two asymmetric mitochondrial derivatives, a long centriolar adjunct, an axoneme (9+9+2) and two accessory bodies. The head shows a characteristic morphology. The acrosome is very long and is basically made up of a paracrystalline structure. In the central head region, the acrosome is inserted into the nucleus, which is observed coiling laterally around the paracrystalline structure. In the subsequent part of the spermatozoon the nucleus appears round in transverse sections, and over some length it is still penetrated by the acrosome until shortly distal to the flagellar insertion. At this point the nucleus forms an inverted cone-shaped projection. These morphological characteristics of acrosome and nucleus of the Microstigmus wasp have not been previously described in Apoidea and are useful for phylogenetic evaluation of this superfamily.  相似文献

The fine structure of the mature spermatozoon of the strepsipteranElenchus japonicus Esaki and Hashimoto (Elenchidae) is described using transmission electron microscopy. The spermatozoon was seen to have an elongated head, a tail containing a 9 + 9 + 2 axoneme, two mitochondrial derivatives and two accessory sheaths. The monolayered acrosome is conical in shape while the nucleus exhibits an internal channel of uncondensed chromatin. The tail is long, and in its final portion, the axoneme, loses its elements progressively. These results are compared with the sperm ultrastructure ofXenos moutoni De Buysson (Stylopidae) and with those of other insect orders, particularly the Coleoptera.  相似文献

The structural organization of the spermatozoon from the Eurasian beaver, Castor fiber (Family: Castoridae), was determined and compared to that of other sciuromorph rodents. The beaver spermatozoon has a head, which is variable in form but usually paddle-shaped, with a small nucleus and very large acrosome, and a tail that is relatively short compared to that of most other rodents. Transmission electron microscopy indicates that in most testicular spermatozoa the acrosome projects apically, although in a few it becomes partly flexed. During the final stages of maturation, however, the acrosome becomes highly folded so that the apical segment comes to lie alongside part of the acrosome that occurs lateral to the nucleus, with, in some cases, fusion taking place between the outer acrosomal membranes. The sperm nucleus is wedge-shaped, being broader basally and narrowing apically with an occasional large nuclear vacuole occurring. This spermatozoon structure is markedly different from that found in the other species of Geomyoidea, which is the sister group of the Castoridae. The findings thus emphasize the highly divergent nature of the beaver spermatozoon and demonstrate that, within the proposed Infraorder Castorimorpha, very large differences in sperm structure have evolved.  相似文献

A highly resolved primate cladogram based on DNA evidence is congruent with extant and fossil osteological evidence. A provisional primate classification based on this cladogram and the time scale provided by fossils and the model of local molecular clocks has all named taxa represent clades and assigns the same taxonomic rank to those clades of roughly equivalent age. Order Primates divides into Strepsirhini and Haplorhini. Strepsirhines divide into Lemuriformes and Loriformes, whereas haplorhines divide into Tarsiiformes and Anthropoidea. Within Anthropoidea when equivalent ranks are used for divisions within Platyrrhini and Catarrhini, Homininae divides into Hylobatini (common and siamang gibbon) and Hominini, and the latter divides into Pongina forPongo(orangutans) and Hominina forGorillaandHomo. Homoitself divides into the subgeneraH.(Homo) for humans andH.(Pan) for chimpanzees and bonobos. The differences between this provisional age related phylogenetic classification and current primate taxonomies are discussed.  相似文献

The spermiogenesis and the sperm ultrastructure of several species of Coniopterygidae have been examined. The spermatozoa consist of a three-layered acrosome, an elongated elliptical nucleus, a long flagellum provided with a 9+9+3 axoneme and two mitochondrial derivatives. No accessory bodies were observed. The axoneme exhibits accessory microtubules provided with 13, rather than 16, protofilaments in their tubular wall; the intertubular material is reduced and distributed differently from that observed in other Neuropterida. Sperm axoneme organization supports the isolated position of the family previously proposed on the basis of morphological data.  相似文献
