Summary Knowledge of the effect of pesticides on the formation of forest tree mycorrhizae is important as pesticides are nowadays used in forestry. The effect of the fungicide Dithane M-45 and the herbicide Gramoxone on the growth ofPinus sylvestris L. seedlings and on the development of their mycorrhizae was studied. Investigations involved seedlings inoculated with pure cultures of mycorrhizal fungi in flasks with perlite under aseptic conditions, in Mitscherlich pots filled with perlite under semi-aseptic conditions, and on peat substrate in outdoor beds. No change in seedling growth and the mycorrhiza formation occurred when water suspension of the fungicide Dithane M-45 was used at the recommended dose. The highest rates of this fungicide had no phytotoxic effect although the growth of treated seedlings was reduced due to complete or partial inhibition of mycorrhizal formation. In contrast, even low doses of Gramoxone reduced the growth of the inoculated and non-inoculated seedlings which were more sensitive than their mycorrhizal fungi. The soil sterilization of outdoor beds with an application of a water suspension of Dithane M-45 at recommended doses reduced mycorrhizal development and seedling growth. Seedlings inoculated simultaneously with pure cultures ofSuillus granulatus showed a slightly better growth than untreated controls.  相似文献

Ametryn exerted a depressive effect on the total count of cellulose-decomposing fungi after 1 and 3 weeks of treatment with a high dose (54 mg active ingredient per kg dry soil), and 5 weeks after treatment with medium (27 mg) and high doses. This inhibitory effect was alleviated after 8 weeks, while after 12 weeks it was changed into promotion by a low dose (5.4 mg). When incorporated in the agar medium, this herbicide was toxic to the total count and to the counts of almost all fungal genera and species at the three doses (25, 125, 250 ppm). The decomposition of ametryn-treated calico buried in untreated soil was significantly and regularly inhibited by medium and high doses after all experimental periods. The growth and sporulation of test fungal species were partially or completely inhibited by the three doses, except,Aspergillus niger, Chaetomium globosum, andGliocladium roseum which were not affected by the low dose  相似文献

The interaction of the fungicide Dithane M-45 (active ingredient mancozeb), with Pseudomonas aeruginosa strain not sensitive to the compound, was studied. Pseudomonas aeruginosa produced a fungicidal compound inhibiting the growth of Fusarium oxysporum. Simultaneously Pseudomonas aeruginosa degraded the EBIS (ethyleneisothiocyaniane) formed from the spontaneous decomposition of the fungicide which is highly toxic for Fusarium oxysporum. When the fungicide was used as seed dressing together with the bacteria the inhibition of the fungus was reduced to the interaction of both fungicidal compounds.  相似文献

BAS 317 00F was not toxic to the total count of fungi after 2 days but was regularly significantly toxic at the three doses after 5, 20 and 40 days and toxic at the low and the high doses after 80 days. In the agar medium, it was toxic to the counts of total fungi, Aspergillus, A. terreus, Rhizopus oryzae and Mucor racemosus at the high dose. Only the mycelial growth of Trichoderma viride which was significantly inhibited by the three doses when this fungicide was added to the liquid medium.Polyram-Combi induced two effects on the total population of soil fungi. One inhibitory and this was demonstrated almost regularly after 2, 10 and 40 days and the other stimulatory after 80 days of treatment with the low and the high doses. In the agar medium, this fungicide was very toxic to total fungi and to almost all fungal genera and species at the three doses. Several fungi could survive the high dose. In liquid medium, the test fungi showed variable degree of sensitivity and the most sensitive was Gliocladium roseum which was completely eradicated by the three doses.  相似文献

Eighteen fungicides were first evaluated for their effects on growth of Alternaria brassicae and for ascertaining their fungicidal and fungistatic natures in artificial cultures. The chemicals emerging fungicidal in action, were later evaluated for their efficacy as seed treatment and foliar application in the management of damping-off of seedlings and blight of rapeseed separately. Of 18 fungicides tested, six fungicides, viz., Dithane M-45, Dithane Z-78, Ziram, Difolatan-80, Blitox-50 and Benlate completely inhibited the growth of the pathogen and were fungicidal in action. Thiram and Brestan-60, which also caused total growth inhibition, were, however, fungistatic. Benlate (0.1 %) followed by Dithane M-45 was best seed-dressing fungicide for controlling damping-off of seedlings. Dithane M-45 (0.2%) followed by Dithane Z-78 as foliar spray was most effective for controlling the blight and increasing the yield in field trials.  相似文献

Tests were conducted to determine the effects of the fungicide Bavistin (Carbendazim), the herbicide Cotoran (Fluometuron) and the insecticide Curacron on Egyptian soil fungi when applied at the recommended field dose, and four and eightfold field doses. Bavistin when added to the soil induced a regular significant inhibition of the total count of fungi by the 3 doses after 5 and 40 days and by the higher doses after 80 days. The response ofAspergillus to this fungicide was almost similar to that of the total count. Cotoran was of no significant effect on the total count of fungi after 2 days at all doses, but after 5 days the herbicide was significantly depressive at the medium and the high doses. After 80 days the effect changed into significant promotion at the field dose only. Curacron was significantly toxic to the total count of soil fungi, after the shorter and longer periods at the 3 doses.  相似文献

Although soil fungi are likely to be a major cause of mortality for buried seeds, few ecological studies have examined the role these pathogens play in natural systems. In particular, few studies have investigated whether losses of seeds to soil fungi are habitat-dependent. We used fungicide treatments to investigate whether losses of buried seeds of four grasses (Bromus inermis, Danthonia spicata, Glyceria striata, and Poa pratensis) to soil fungi differed among meadows differing in soil moisture. We also applied water to some treatments, to determine whether this increased losses of seeds to fungi. For all four grasses, fungicide additions improved one or more measures of seed viability, though this effect was small. For Danthonia and Glyceria, fungicide was less likely to improve viability in dry meadows than in wet and/or mesic meadows. Adding water reduced some measures of viability of seeds of Danthonia and Poa in dry meadows, but fungicide partly counteracted these negative effects, suggesting that adding water reduced performance by increasing fungal attack. These results indicate that fungi represent a hazard for buried seeds of these species, particularly in wetter soils, and potentially may contribute to the reduction of populations of vulnerable species in wetter sites.  相似文献

Hydroxamic acid chelates of the type ML2, ML2', and ML2" where M = Cu(II), Ni(II) or Co(II) and L = N,2'-diphenylacetohydroxamic acid (N,2'-DPAHA), L' = 2,2'-diphenylacetohydroxamic acid (2,2'-DPAHA), and L" = 2-phenylacetohydroxamic acid (2-PAHA) have been isolated and characterized on the basis of elemental analysis and infrared and magnetic data. These metal chelates were screened for their fungicidal activity. The testing against fungi has been carried out by slide germination technique against Alternaria alternata and by inhibition zone technique against Fusarium oxysporum and Aspergillus flavus. The fungicidal activity of chelates and their parent ligand has been compared with the commercial fungicide, Dithane M-45, screened under similar conditions.  相似文献

Adult white rats were kept on natural diet containing various doses of Dithane M-45 (Mn and Zn ethylene-bisdithiocarbamate). Oxygen uptake (VO2), metabolic rate and energy balance were determined at intervals of several days. Oxygen uptake and metabolic rate were not significantly changed in animals receiving Dithane M-45 in concentrations of 5 and 50 ppm but they were significantly decreased in the animals kept on the diet containing the preparation in concentrations of 500, 2000 and 5000 ppm. The authors conclude that changes in body weight of animals after poisoning with Dithane M-45 are due, both to reduced supply and requirements for energy.  相似文献

Aspergillus funiculosus was isolated from rotted banana fruits, whereas Alternaria tenuis and Fusarium sp. were isolated from rotted tomato fruits. The isolated fungi tolerated relatively high levels of the fungicide, Dithane, up to 2560 ppm on solid medium, but grew well at 40 ppm when supplemented with liquid medium. They are able to tolerate selenite up to 2% (w/v) sodium selenite. A. funiculosus showed no growth in the presence of mixture of 2.5 ppm selenium and 20 ppm Dithane, whereas Fusarium sp. failed to grow at 2.5 ppm selenium and 10 ppm Dithane, or at 10 ppm of each. Nevertheless, Alternaria tenuis is more tolerant; it showed growth in the presence of relatively high levels of selenium and Dithane; up to 10 ppm selenium and 40 ppm Dithane, however, its growth was inhibited by the presence of a mixture of both. The results suggested new form of highly active fungicides. Selenium as an essential nutrient at such very low concentrations, as well as the application of very low concentrations of the fungicide, would certainly reduce the hazardous effect of such pollutant in the environment.  相似文献

Vegetative propagation of mulberry (Morus spp.) is greatly afflicted by soilborne diseases. Stem canker (Botryodiplodia theobromae) and cutting rot (Fusarium solani) are the major diseases which cause high rate of mortality of stem‐cuttings (vegetative clones), thus affecting the initial establishment of mulberry. Apart from diseases, the poor rooting ability of stem‐cuttings of many promising mulberry varieties also leads to unproductive propagation. An effective biocontrol agent (Trichoderma pseudokoningii), chemical fungicide (Dithane M‐45) and phytohormones (Indole‐3‐acetic acid, IAA and 1‐Naphthalene acetic acid, NAA) were evaluated individually and in combination for their effects on disease control and plant development. In plates, T. pseudokoningii was found to be compatible with Dithane M‐45 at 0.1%, and IAA and NAA at 20 ppm concentrations. Under field conditions, the integration of soil application of T. pseudokoningii (in the form of its formulated product, ‘NURSERY‐GUARD') and dipping of stem‐cuttings in 0.1% solution of Dithane M‐45, or 20 ppm solution of IAA showed better results than their individual application. NURSERY‐GUARD with Dithane M‐45 (0.1%) or IAA (20 ppm) provided 47.6 to 52.4% disease control to stem‐cuttings which resulted in significant increase (over check) in sprouting of stem‐cuttings (53.1–63.3%) and plant survival (52.6–57.8%).  相似文献

2,4-D (2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetio acid) when applied to the soil at three doses (1.9, 7.6 and 15.2 mg per kg dry soil) had a stimulating effect on the total count of soil fungi and on several fungal species especially between 5 and 20 d after treatment. When the herbicide was incorporated in the agar medium it had a stimulating effect on the counts of total fungi, Aspergillus sp., A. niger, A.fumigatus and Fusarium app. at the low dose (6.3 ppm), but wag toxic at this dose toward Humicola grisea and Myrothecium verrucaria at the medium and high doses (25.2 and 50.4 ppm), it was toxic to the total count of fungi and to the majority of fungal species. VCS-438 [2-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)-4-methyl-l,2,4-oxadiazolidine-3,5-dione] was beneficial to the total count of fungi 2 and 5 d after soil treatment with the medium dose (8.0 mg per kg dry soil). Some fungal species could benefit from the low and the high doses (2.0 and 16.0 mg per kg dry soil) after these experimental periods. In the agar medium the counts of total fungi, Aspergillus sp., A. niger and A.fumigatus were almost significantly reduced by the three doses (6.8, 27.2 and 54.8 ppm). Planavin (4-methylsulphonyl-2,6-dinitro-N,N-dipropylaniline) was stimulating for the total count of fungi, Aspergillus, A.niger and A.ochraceus 2 and 5 d after treatment with the medium dose (8.0 mg per kg dry soil), and was also stimulating to Fusarium population at the medium dose after 2 d and at the high dose (16 mg per kg dry soil) after 20 d. In the agar medium Planavin at the low dose (6.8 ppm) was stimulating to A.terreus and inhibitory to A.nidulans and A.fumigatus. The medium and high doses (27.2 and 54.8 ppm) were generally toxic to the total count of fungi.  相似文献

Conidiobolus obscurus resting spore germination was greater than 60% after 21 days incubation in 700 ppm concentrations of Rhodiasoufre, Pelt 44, Dithane M-45, Plantvax, and Saprol. No germ tubes were produced under the same treatment with Bavistine, Quin 20, or Benlate at the same dosage. Germination in distilled water was 85%. After only 24 hr contact with Quin 20 (700 ppm) followed by a distilled water wash, germination was not reduced. A higher ability to penetrate the spore wall may account for greater fungicide activity. Resting spores were found to be more resistant to certain fungicides than conidia; however, no general rule could be applied.  相似文献

Three fungicide rates, 4·48, 2.24, and 1.12 kg peT ha,and four spray intervals, 5, 7, 10, and14-day intervals, were investigated for the control of Phytophthoraleaf blight of taro in a subtropical field environment in Hawaii. The fungicide rate was studied in two separate locations onthe windward sides of the island of Kauai. The fungicide utilizedin these experiments was a co-ordination product of zinc ionand manganese ethylene bisdithiocarbamate (Dithane M-45, 80per cent WP). In the lower rainfall location, there was no differencedue to different fungicide rates while in the wetter location, the 4·48 kg per ha rate gave better control than the1·12 kg per ha rate. There was no significant differencebetween the 5, 7, and IO-day spray intervals butwhen compared with the 14-day interval, the 5-day interval wassuperior. Periods of increased rainfall were reflected in thefollowing week by increased lesion counts. Present data indicatethat rainfall is a major factor to consider as a basis for predictingdisease was occurrences and may be utilized for planning intervalof fungicide application. The amount of disease was a functionof initial disease levels, rainfall, temperature, relative humidity, fungicide rate, and spray interval between fungicide applications.Applications of fungicide at weekly intervals when weekly rainfallaccumulation exceeded 1 cm per week and/or when lesion countsexceeded more than one per plant gave substantial disease control. Thus, once these parameters of disease have been established, fungicide application could be governed conveniently by monitoringrainfall and disease incidence to achieve practical Phytophthowraleaf blight control. The 2·24 and 4·48 kg ha-1rates gave significant yield increases over the 1·12and check (no fungicide) treatments where Phytophthora leafblight occurred in epidemic proportions.  相似文献

Soil samples from both healthy and diseased paprika roots were tested to identify their mycoflora. Thirty-one species belonging to 16 genera were collected from rhizosphere and rhizoplane samples. The most frequently isolated fungi were Aspergillus flavus, A. niger, A. terreus, Fusarium oxysporum, Penicillium jensenii and Trichoderma harzianum. Fusarium oxysporum was the most common Fusarium species in the rhizoplane samples of diseased roots and identification was confirmed by RAPD-PCR technique. Trichoderma harzianum, T. pseudokoningii and Glioclaium roseum were chosen to study their biological control efficiency against Fusarium oxysporum. These fungal species reduced the percentage of seedling infection to 25, 40 and 50%, respectively. With the increasing of fungicide (Folicur and Ridomil) doses the dry weight of F. oxysporum decreased. Also, the increasing of fungicide dose lead to a slight decrease in the dry weight of T. harzianum, T. pseudokoningii and Glioclaium roseum.  相似文献

Glucophilic and cellulose-decomposing fungi were significantly reduced in soil samples treated with 0.019-0.152 mg a.i./kg soil of the herbicides Herbizid and Touchdown. The decrease was regularly correlated with the doses of the two herbicides and persisted till the end of the experiment (12 weeks). The isolated fungi were found to be able to produce hydrolytic extracellular enzymes in solid media but with variable capabilities. The ability to produce enzymes was adversily affected by the incorporation of herbicides in culture media. Lower doses of herbicides were occasionally promotive to enzyme production and mycelial growth of some fungi. Incorporation of 50 ppm of Herbizid and Touchdown significantly activated amylase production and mycelial dry weight in cultures of Fusarium oxysporum, Mucor hiemalis and Penicillium chrysogenum. There was a significant increase in C1-cellulase produced by F. oxysporum and P. aurantiogriseum when cultures were treated with 50, 100 and 200 ppm of Herbizid which induced also more Cx-cellulase production by P. chrysogenum. Lipase and protease production was always lower in treated than in control fungal cultures.  相似文献

The effect of Dithane M-45 (dithiocarbamate fungicide; active substance: mancozeb) was studied on microarthropod fauna inhabiting dead wood. Although the exposure was almost never 100% lethal for the majority of observed taxa, almost all (Mesostigmata, Oribatida, some Uropodina, Actinedida, Collembola and Diplopoda) showed very high correlation between concentration of the fungicide and mortality (r > 0.86). Only Stigmaeidae showed low correlation (r = 0.293). For the majority of taxa LC50 values were close to the concentrations used during agrochemical activities in woods. Only Trachytes aegrota showed full susceptibility to the fungicide within the range of recommended field concentrations used in forestry (characterised by the low LC95 value). Tolerance of mesostigmatid and oribatid mites was found to differ between juveniles and adults, but not consistently. Related Uropodina species varied in susceptibility to the fungicide.  相似文献

Six fungicides, namely Benlate (benomyl) methyl 1-(butylcarbamoyl)benzimidazol-2-ylcarbamate, 50%WP; Dithane M45 (mancozeb) 1,2-ethanediybis carbamodithioato (2-)manganese +1,2-ethanediybis, 20%Mn + 2.5%Zn; Delsene M, (carbendazim + maneb) methyl benzimidazol-2-ylcarbamate, 10% carbendazim + 60% maneb; Rovral (iprodione), 3-(3,5-dichlorophenyl)-N-isopropyl-2-4-dioxoimidazolidine-1-carboxamide, 50%WP; Cupravit (copper oxychloride) 3Cu(OH)2 · CuCl 2 , 50%WP; and Ridomil (metalaxyl) methyl N-(2-methoxyacetyl)-N-(2,6-xylyl-DL-alaminate), 50%WP were evaluated for their efficacy in the control of brown blotch disease of bambara groundnut caused by Colletotrichum capsici (Syd) Butler and Bisby in field trials. Two of the fungicides, Benlate and Delsene M gave significantlty (P = 0.05) better control of the disease and consequently higher grain yield than the other treatments. The performance of Rovral, Dithane M-45 and Ridomil did not differ significantly from each other and Cupravit did not perform significantly better than the check treatment.  相似文献
