高原鼠兔洞穴系统的恢复是其种群恢复的关键指标之一,洞穴分布的变化可以反映种群的动态。本研究于2014-2016年在青海省祁连县对2.79 hm2高寒草甸内高原鼠兔(Ochotona curzoniae)种群密度、洞穴密度和洞穴的相对位置进行跟踪观测。其中包括6个50m×50m 的灭鼠堵洞处理、6个30m×30m 的灭鼠处理和3个50m×50m的对照处理。分别采用平均最近邻指数和平均拥挤度指数分析洞穴系统中有效洞、弃洞、粪坑和嬉戏坑的分布模式及洞系表现面积,并对各参数进行描述性和相关性分析。结果显示:高原鼠兔种群密度恢复过程中(1)有效洞的空间格局由随机向离散分布转变,弃洞由随机向聚集分布转变,粪坑和嬉戏坑无明显变化趋势;有效洞和弃洞分布格局的恢复都朝向灭鼠前状态,但恢复的都不充分;(2)有效洞最近邻指数与其自身密度正相关;弃洞最邻近指数与其自身密度负相关;粪坑、嬉戏坑最近邻指数与其自身密度无显著相关性;其中,仅粪坑的分布最近邻指数与高原鼠兔种群密度呈显著负相关;(3)有效洞与粪坑、嬉戏坑表现面积的变化情况较为一致,与弃洞呈互补态势;洞系表现面积的变异性远小于洞穴密度。结果说明:(1)高原鼠兔洞穴分布格局和洞穴密度的恢复具有滞后性;(2)有效洞、弃洞的分布格局主要受洞穴密度的影响;(3)高原鼠兔种群的恢复过程中对洞系面积的需求优先于洞口数量。  相似文献

High-density plateau pikas (Ochotona curzoniae) disturbance is one of the main causes of alpine meadow degradation. The response of phytocoenosium to the disturbance of plateau pika may reflect its habitat expanding strategy. We used quadrat sampling method to investigate vegetation height, coverage, and aboveground biomass of non-pika area (NA), transition area (TA), and pika-active area (AA) distributed continuously in alpine meadow located in Guoluo Tibetan Autonomous County of Qinghai Province in 2011 and 2012. The results showed that, from NA to AA (i) vegetation coverage, height, and above-ground biomass decreased (P < 0.01). (ii) While the number of plant species decreased from 41 to 30, and species diversity decreased significantly (P < 0.05), evenness of the alpine meadow showed no significant variations. (iii) Dominant species changed from grasses to weeds. (iv) While plants in TA showed no obvious difference in height between 2011 and 2012, coverage reduced significantly (P < 0.05). These results demonstrate that (i) plateau pikas disturbance on alpine meadow will change plant community structure and composition, directly leading to degeneration of alpine meadow. Additionally, (ii) plateau pikas expand their habitat by altering plant coverage firstly.  相似文献

Pocket gopher (Geomyidae) disturbances are created in spatiallypredictable patterns. This may influence resource heterogeneity and affectgrassland vegetation in a unique manner. We attempt to determine the extent towhich density and spatial pattern of soil disturbances influence tallgrassprairie plant community structure and determine how these disturbances interactwith fire. To investigate the effects of explicit disturbance patterns we createdsimulated pocket gopher burrows and mounds in various spatial patterns.Simulated burrows were drilled into the soil at different densities inreplicated plots of burned and unburned prairie. Separate plots of simulatedmounds were created in burned and unburned prairie at low, medium, or high mounddensities in clumped, uniform, or random spatial dispersions. In both burned and unburned plots, increased burrow density decreasedgraminoid biomass and increased forb biomass. Total-plant and graminoid biomasswere higher in burned than unburned plots while forb biomass was higher inunburned plots. Total-plant species richness was not significantly affected byburrow density or burning treatments, but graminoid species richness increasedin unburned plots and forb species richness increased in burned plots. Plant species richness was temporarily reduced directly on mounddisturbances compared to undisturbed prairie. Over time and at larger samplingscales, the interaction of fire and mound disturbance patterns significantlyaffected total-plant and graminoid species richness. The principal effect inburned and unburned prairie was decreased total-plant and graminoid speciesrichness with increased mound disturbance intensity. Although species richness at small patch scales was not increased by anyintensity of disturbance and species composition was not altered by theestablishment of a unique guild of disturbance colonizing plants, our studyrevealed that interactions between soil disturbances and fire alter the plantcommunity dominance structure of North American tallgrass prairie primarily viachanges to graminoids. Moreover, these effects become increasingly pronouncedover time and at larger spatial sampling scales.  相似文献

采用开顶式生长室(OTC)模拟增温实验,研究了川西北亚高山草甸植物群落碳、氮含量对温度升高的响应。由于OTC的增温作用,在整个生长季内,地温(15 cm)、地表温度和气温(30 cm)的平均值在OTC内比对照样地分别高0.28、0.46和1.4℃,OTC内土壤相对含水量也明显减少,低于对照样地5.49%。受增温及土壤含水量减少的影响,一年后,植物群落的生物量积累和碳、氮含量发生了明显的改变。除10月份OTC内地上鲜体生物量略高于对照样地外,OTC内地上鲜体生物量和根系生物量与对照样地相比,都出现了不同程度的减少;OTC内植物群落地上活体的碳浓度在整个生长季高于对照样地,而氮浓度低于对照样地;OTC内植物群落地下活根的碳浓度在整个生长季高于对照样地,并且在8月份统计检验显著,而氮浓度却低于对照样地;OTC内植物碳库在整个生长季较对照样地有不同程度的增加,增幅范围为0.90%~5.65%,而OTC内植物氮库较对照样地有不同程度的减少,减幅范围0.40%~1.28%。  相似文献

为明晰放牧对高原鼢鼠(Eospalax baileyi)造丘活动的影响,于2019年5月、8月和10月分别对禁牧(No grazing,NG)、生长季休牧(Rest grazing in growing season,RG)、传统放牧(Traditional grazing,TG)和连续放牧(Continuous grazing,CG)4种放牧管理模式样地下高原鼢鼠的新鼠丘(2个月内形成)半径、高度、表面积和体积等进行测定,并分析其表面积、体积与土壤和植被生物量间的关系。结果发现:放牧管理模式显著影响了高原鼢鼠鼠丘形态特征,且具有季节性差异。NG下鼠丘的半径、表面积和体积最大,而CG下鼠丘的体积和表面积显著变小(P<0.05),在8月和10月,鼠丘半径在CG样地显著小于其他3种放牧模式样地(P<0.05);8月TG下鼠丘高度最高,而5月和10月NG下鼠丘高度最高,鼠丘高度在CG样地显著小于NG样地(P<0.05)。冗余分析2个排序轴几乎全部解释了土壤因子及地下生物量与鼠丘特征之间的关系,但各放牧管理模式下影响因子不同,NG样地的土壤容重(P<0.05)、土壤紧实度(P<0.01)和莎草科植物的地上生物量(P<0.01),RG样地的地下生物量(P<0.01)、土壤紧实度(P<0.01)和豆科植物的地上生物量(P<0.01),TG样地的禾本科和豆科植物的地上生物量(P<0.01),CG样地的土壤水分、地下生生物量、土壤紧实度(P<0.05)和莎草科植物的地上生物量(P<0.01)均显著影响了鼠丘的形态特征。可见,放牧会影响高原鼢鼠的鼠丘形态特征,进而对草地的演替产生不同的影响。  相似文献

高原鼠兔(Ochotona curzoniae)有效洞穴密度变化会引发高山嵩草(Kobresia pygmaea)草甸植物群落及其种群分布格局发生变化。采用野外调查法研究了高原鼠兔有效洞穴密度对高山嵩草群落特征及其主要种群分布格局的影响。结果表明:随高原鼠兔有效洞穴密度增加,高山嵩草草甸植物群落的优势种没发生明显变化,部分伴生种发生更替;高度、盖度、多样性指数和均匀度指数呈现降低态势;地上生物量和丰富度指数变化不明显;高山嵩草和矮火绒草(Leontopodium nanum)种群的盖度、密度以及生物量均呈现降低态势,而达乌里秦艽(Gentiana dahurica)和小花草玉梅(Anemone rivularis var.flore-minors)种群的盖度、密度和生物量呈增加趋势。高山嵩草和矮火绒草的种群分布格局从8个/625m2和14个/625m2的聚集分布分别变为34个/625m2时的均匀分布和随机分布,达乌里秦艽和小花草玉梅种群从8个/625m2和14个/625m2的随机分布变为23个/625m2和34个/625m2时的聚集分布,这说明高原鼠兔有效洞穴密度变化改变了高山嵩草群落的特征和主要植物种群的空间分布格局,而对应群落特征和种群分布格局改变的有效洞穴密度为14个/625m2和23个/625m2。  相似文献

Invasions by alien plants significantly affect native biodiversity and ecosystem functioning. We conducted a 5-year field experiment to investigate potential effects of the annual invasive plant Impatiens glandulifera on both the native above-ground vegetation and the soil seed bank in a deciduous forest in Switzerland. Eight years after the establishment of I. glandulifera, we set up plots in patches invaded by the alien plant, in plots from which the invasive plant had been manually removed and in plots which were not yet colonized by the invasive plant. We examined plant species richness, diversity and plant species composition in the above-ground vegetation and soil seed bank in all plots one year and five years after the initiation of the experiment. The 36 plots (3 plot types × 6 replicates × 2 sites) were equally distributed over two forest sites. Neither the native above-ground vegetation nor the soil seed bank was influenced by the presence of I. glandulifera one year after the start of the field experiment. After five years, however, plant species richness of both the above-ground vegetation and the soil seed bank was reduced by 25% and 30%, respectively, in plots invaded by the alien plant compared to plots from which I. glandulifera had been removed or uninvaded plots. Furthermore, plots invaded by the alien plant had a lower total seedling density (reduction by 60%) and an altered plant species composition in the soil seed bank compared to control plots. Our field experiment indicates that negative effects of the annual invasive plant on the native above-ground vegetation and soil seed bank of deciduous forests become visible with a delay of several years.  相似文献

Changes in species richness, turnover, composition and above-ground biomass of herb-rich woodland were documented following fertilizer application and water addition over three growing seasons. Addition of fertilizer significantly reduced species richness relative to unmanipulated control and water addition plots after 3 years. This change coincided with significant increases in biomass, which were largely due to increased growth of exotic annual grasses. The reductions in richness observed in the fertilized plots were a consequence of both lower rates of local colonization and enhanced rates of local extinction of the resident species. Species loss was not random; native species were lost after nutrient addition whereas exotic species were not. Nutrient limitation was more important for species coexistence in these communities than was water availability.  相似文献

Question: Which fraction of the decrease in species richness under fertilization can be explained by assemblage‐level thinning? Location: An alpine meadow on the eastern Tibet plateau. Methods: 60‐m2 plots were randomly assigned to a control or one of four levels of ammonium phosphate fertilizer. Treatments were repeated for three years. The effect of as semblage‐level thinning was decided based on similarity in quadrats within and between fertilizing levels, bootstrap simulation based on random thinning of the high density (low production, low fertility) quadrats and correlation of species’ biomass in low fertility and high fertility. Results: Fertilization increased production, reduced species richness and reduced density of individuals. Heavily fertilized quadrats are more similar in species composition in 2000 but less similar in 2001 and 2002. Rarefaction showed that a decrease in density can account for 32.3‐42.9% decrease of species richness, but the simulated species richness is always significantly higher than the observed one. When production and species richness are similar at two levels of fertilization, species biomass in the higher fertility treatment is positively correlated with biomass at lower fertility. When the two fertilizer levels differed in production and species richness, there was no evidence of correlation in species biomass, suggesting that assemblage level thinning cannot explain all the loss of species. Conclusion: Although a decrease in density could explain much of the decrease (up to 42.9%) in species richness when this alpine meadow was fertilized, other important mechanisms such as interspecific competition cannot be ignored. Future studies should investigate the effect of assemblage level thinning on species diversity, and search for mechanisms responsible for a decrease in diversity.  相似文献

Mud shrimps, Upogebia spp., are major constituents of macrobenthic communities in tidal flats in Japan. The impact of Upogebia yokoyai on carbon flow on tidal flats was examined by comparing CO2 emission rates from plots with and without burrows in the Kurose River estuary, Japan. In situ CO2 emission rates from plots with burrows were significantly higher than from those without. Laboratory measurements using sediment core samples that excluded respiration of macrobenthic organisms showed similar trends. Although there were no significant differences in grain size distribution, water content, or ignition loss between the sediment cores with and without burrows, oxidation–reduction potential was significantly higher in sediment cores with burrows. Analysis of phospholipid fatty acids (PLFA) indicated that microbial biomass and community structure did not differ significantly between cores with and without burrows. However, microbial respiration activity, as indicated by CO2 emission rates per total PLFA content, was significantly higher in sediment cores with burrows than in those without. Our results indicate that burrows of U. yokoyai change the physicochemical conditions and increase microbial activity in the sediment, significantly affecting carbon flow in the tidal flat.  相似文献

以甘蓝型油菜(青杂303)为研究材料,通过研究分析油菜幼苗期的生长和生理特性,旨在探讨油菜幼苗对青藏高原地区未来大气氮沉降的响应机制。实验以NH4NO3氮肥模拟大气氮沉降的NH4+、NO3-输入并分别喷施0、2.5、5.0 g/m2.a模拟青藏高原地区大气氮沉降增加的0倍、2倍、4倍背景。结果表明:施氮处理对油菜幼苗生长具有促进作用,油菜幼苗的地上部分干重、叶面积和株高等形态指标都发生了显著变化;随着施氮量增加油菜幼苗叶片的抗氧化酶活性增强,氮肥输入量为5.0 g/m2.a的处理组中,其幼苗叶片超氧化物歧化酶(SOD)、过氧化物酶(POD)、过氧化氢酶(CAT)活性与对照的相比均具有极显著差异。因此,反映出青藏高原地区生态系统中植物生长受到有效氮的限制,在外界有效氮输入下,对植物生长发育具有促进作用。  相似文献

Whether an exotic species becomes integrated into a community or aggressively takes it over depends upon many interacting factors. Using contextual analyses, we combined genetic data about an invasive plant with information about the neighboring species, the community, and the environment to determine what factors enable a genotype or species to invade. We transplanted 50 individuals of each of three clones of the invasive grass Phalaris arundinacea, reed canary grass, into 150 random locations within a Vermont pasture. For each individual, we recorded clonal identity, neighbor identity, community indices (species richness and species diversity), and an environmental variable (soil moisture). The response variables were survivorship, above-ground biomass, below-ground biomass and the ratio of above- to below-ground biomass. Clonal identity affected both survivorship and below-ground biomass. The fastest tillering clone had poor survivorship but survivors produced a large amount of below-ground biomass, making this clone more likely to successfully overwinter. Neighbor species affected above- and below-ground biomass. Reed canary grass produced more above- and below-ground biomass when Anthoxanthum odoratum, a common pasture grass species, was abundant. Community attributes also influenced growth. Although we expected diverse plots to repel the invasion, plants in the more diverse plots had higher amounts of below-ground biomass. Finally, environmental effects also influenced growth. Reed canary grass produced more above-ground biomass in wetter plots, confirming that it does well under wet conditions.  相似文献

Root colonization by arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF) was investigated in industrially polluted grassland characterized by exceptionally high phosphorus levels (up to 120 g kg(-1) soil). Along a pollution-induced nitrogen gradient, soil and tissue element concentrations of Artemisia vulgaris plants and their mycorrhizal status were determined. Additionally, we compared mycorrhization rates and above-ground biomass of A. vulgaris at N-fertilized and control plots in the N-poor area. Despite high soil and tissue P concentrations, plants from N-deficient plots, which were characterized by low tissue N concentrations and N : P ratios, were strongly colonized by AMF, whereas at a plot with comparable P levels, but higher soil and plant N concentrations and N : P ratios, mycorrhization rates were significantly lower. Correlation analyses revealed a negative relationship between percentage root colonization of A. vulgaris by AMF and both tissue N concentration and N : P ratio. Accordingly, in the fertilization experiment, control plants had higher mycorrhization rates than N-fertilized plants, whereas the species attained higher biomass at N-fertilized plots. The results suggest that N deficiency stimulates root colonization by AMF in this extraordinarily P-rich field site.  相似文献

高原鼢鼠繁杂的洞道系统对高寒草甸土壤的理化性质有着重要影响。本研究采集高原鼢鼠活动洞道土壤样本,并以无鼢鼠扰动的同深度土层土壤作为对照。对比分析了2个处理土壤微生物(细菌、真菌、放线菌)、土壤酶(脲酶、蔗糖酶、碱性磷酸酶)活性以及土壤全氮、有机质、速效磷含量的差异。结果表明:高原鼢鼠洞道土壤速效磷和全氮的含量均高于对照,其中春季和秋季的速效磷达到显著水平(P<0.05);秋季无鼢鼠扰动的土壤有机质和真菌的含量显著高于洞道土壤(P<0.05);3种酶活性各处理间无显著差异(P>0.05);对照区春季土壤的细菌和秋季真菌的含量显著高于洞道土壤(P<0.05);洞道和对照区土壤的细菌、放线菌、速效磷、全氮和有机质的含量均在夏季达到最大值,各种指标其它月份差异不显著(P>0.05)。基于以上结果,本研究发现高原鼢鼠活动洞道土壤微生物和土壤酶与对照区土壤无显著差异(P>0.05)。  相似文献

为探讨火烧干扰以及微地貌差异对高原湿草甸植被的影响,以高原湿草甸优势种华扁穗草( Blysmus sinocompressus Tang et F. T. Wang)为研究对象,分别在经历火烧干扰和未烧的湿地中选择平地和地垄作为样地,研究了不同生长期以及不同年份华扁穗草地上部的灰分含量和热值(包括干质量热值和去灰分热值)变化。结果表明:在火烧平地、火烧地垄、未烧平地和未烧地垄4类样地中,不同生长期以及不同年份间华扁穗草地上部的灰分含量和热值均有一定差异。在火烧平地、火烧地垄和未烧平地3类样地中,与生长初期相比,生长旺盛期华扁穗草地上部的灰分含量均降低,其干质量热值和去灰分热值均升高;而在未烧地垄样地中,与生长初期相比,生长旺盛期华扁穗草地上部的灰分含量显著升高,其干质量热值和去灰分热值则均略降低。从样地类型看,在生长旺盛期,平地样地中华扁穗草地上部的灰分含量均低于地垄样地,其干质量热值和去灰分热值均高于地垄样地,其中,其灰分含量在火烧平地样地中最低、在未烧地垄样地中最高;其干质量热值和去灰分热值在火烧地垄样地中均最低、在未烧平地样地中均最高,但总体无显著差异。随时间推移,火烧样地特别是火烧平地样地中华扁穗草地上部的灰分含量增加,而其干质量热值和去灰分热值则有所降低但总体上与未烧样地间无显著差异。总体上看,在火烧样地中,华扁穗草地上部的干质量热值和去灰分热值低于未烧样地;而在平地样地中,其干质量热值和去灰分热值高于地垄样地。研究结果显示:火烧干扰和微地貌差异对华扁穗草地上部的灰分含量和热值均有一定的影响,据此,建议将植物地上部的灰分含量和热值作为高原湿草甸植被优势种响应环境扰动的参考指标。  相似文献

Background and aim

Because the indigenous burrowing lagomorph plateau pika (Ochotona curzoniae) is considered to have negative ecological impacts on alpine meadow steppe grasslands of the Headwaters Region of the Yellow, Yangtze and Mekong Rivers we investigated its effects on ecosystem productivity and soil properties, and especially net ecosystem carbon flux.

Methods

We measured net ecosystem CO2 exchange (NEE) and its components gross ecosystem productivity (GEP) and ecosystem respiration (ER) at peak aboveground biomass by the chamber method with reference to plant and soil characteristics of areas of alpine meadow steppe with different densities of pika burrows.

Results

Higher burrow density decreased NEE, GEP and ER. Above-ground biomass, species number, plant cover and leaf area index decreased with increasing pika density. Higher burrow density was associated with lower soil moisture and higher soil temperature. Responses of NEE were related to changes of abiotic and biotic factors affecting its two components. NEE was positively related to soil moisture, soil ammonium nitrogen, plant cover, leaf area index and above-ground biomass but was negatively correlated with higher soil nitrate nitrogen.

Conclusion

Decrease of NEE by plateau pika may reduce the carbon sink balance of Qinghai-Tibet plateau grassland. Such effects may be influenced by grazing pressure from domestic livestock, population levels of natural predators, and climate change.  相似文献

高原鼢鼠取食洞道处,在植物根系受损条件下,主要测定各类植物生物量变动的格局。原生植被样区,取食洞道回填土壤后,单子叶植物地上生物量显增加,双子叶植物地上生物量及地下总生物量显降低。植物地上总生物量与取食洞道的厚度密切相关。土厚厚度<5cm的取食洞道,植物地上及地下生物量显下降,土层厚度>10cm,植物地上及地下生物量无显变化。高原鼢鼠长期栖息植被退化的斑块地,在取食洞道区域,单子叶及双子叶植物地上生物量和地下总生物量均显降低。结果验证了本提出的地下啮齿动物对双子叶直根类植物的存活具有负效应,对单子叶须根类植物则产生正效应的假设。  相似文献

Transpiration, leaf conductance, net photosynthesis, leaf growth, above-ground biomass and regeneration of new culms were studied in a rapidly subsiding Spartina alterniflora Lois. salt marsh following the addition at 47 and 94 Kg m–2 of new sediment. Plant growth was enhanced in response to sediment addition as was evident by a significant increase in leaf area, above-ground biomass production and regeneration of new culms (p 0.05). Leaf conductance and transpiration rates were significantly greater in sediment treated plants than in control plants (p 0.05). Enhanced production of culms per unit area of marsh resulted in increased leaf area which allowed a greater capacity for net photosynthesis and contributed to increases in above-ground biomass of sediment treated plots.  相似文献

Root hemiparasites like Rhinanthus angustifolius C.C. Gmel and R. minor L. have a potential to accelerate the restoration of semi-natural grasslands because they may decrease above-ground biomass of the vegetation. This, in turn, may be beneficial for species diversity. It is known that hemiparasites often accumulate high nutrient concentrations in their above-ground parts, resulting in high quality litter. Because of the short life cycle of many parasitic plants, litter is released early in the season and the main part is not removed from the grassland by hay-making. This has been shown to yield an increased nutrient availability locally. We performed an introduction experiment with R. angustifolius and R. minor in three semi-natural grasslands in Flanders (Belgium). In the second year after sowing, the above-ground nitrogen (N) content of the grasses and of the potential host vegetation (excluding the hemiparasite), was increased in the parasitized plots. The reduction of grass (and legume) above-ground biomass in parasitized plots resulted in a decrease in the total above-ground N uptake of grasses, host and total vegetation (ex- and including the parasite, respectively) of the parasitized plots compared to the control. Furthermore, with a tracer experiment (15N), we demonstrated that the N from the added tracer was relatively less available in parasitized plots, suggesting larger soil N pools in these treatments. This is probably the consequence of increased mineralization, resulting from the high-quality, parasitic litter. Further experiments should be conducted to investigate the impact of hemiparasitic Rhinanthus spp., e.g. on the availability of other nutrients such as phosphorus.  相似文献
