We have found morphological anomalies in the fifth pair of thoraciclegs of female Acartic clausi and A. discaudata, sampled inthe harbour at Dunkirk (France), in the eastern English Channeland in the North Sea. The percentage of anomalies in A. clausi(<1%) is not significantly different between polluted andnon-polluted sites. The frequency of anomalies is on the otherhand clearly higher in A. bilfilosa (>20%) than in A. clausi.  相似文献

Three Megacricetodon species are recognized in the Middle Miocene locality of Blanquatère 1 (Languedoc-Roussillon province, France). Two are new, the small-sized M. tautavelensis nov. sp. the medium to large-sized M. aunayi nov. sp., the third one being the already known M. “collongensis-gersii”, a medium-sized species found in other Miocene localities of the area. Size and morphology differentiate these species. Such a high number of contemporaneous species of the genus Megacricetodon is found for the first time in a Miocene locality in the region and indicate that the evolution of this genus in western Europe is likely more complicated. It may testify both of a biogeographical differentiation and of migration events. According to our calibration charts, the deposit is dated ca. 16 Ma ago. The position of Vieux-Collonges (MN 5) and Sansan (MN 6) on the biochronological scale is also discussed, as well as the estimated age of the biozonal boundaries MN 3/MN 4, MN 4/MN 5 and MN 5/MN 6.  相似文献

In the Bryozoa in general the colony is attached by means of the primary zooid, the ancestrula, which is permanently cemented to the substratum. The attachment is brought about, in the marine bryozoans, by the larva everting its interior sac into a basal adhesive disc secreting a thin layer of hardening mucus. In Scrupocellaria reptans no adhesive disc was found. The metamorphosing larva is fixed to the substratum by a column of loose, sticky secretion. This primary fixation is ephemeral and replaced by a secondary, permanent fixation by one pair of rootlets. Thus, the ancestrula body proper and the colony arising from it become permanently free from the substratum but anchored to it by rootlets, the primary pair and series of secondary rootlets. This unique and certainly secondarily evolved type of attachment is apparently realized in the Scrupocellariidae in general, to a more or less perfect degree. It appears as one of several possible models to meet efficiently with environmental disturbances.  相似文献

Analysis of fifteen loci encoding enzymes has shown an important differentiation between five European and North American species of the Astacidae. Evaluation of the genetic distances revealed that closely related species are on the one hand, Orconectes limosus and Procambarus clarkii and, on the other, Astacus astacus and Astacus leptodactylus. This analysis brings no genetic justification for the separation of these five species into two sub-families. However, the distinction between the genera Astacus and Austropotamobius seems confirmed. The possibility of a correlation between heterozygosity and oxygen consumption is evocated.  相似文献

Pigments and salinity in Porphyridium.—An opal glass light transmission method is used for estimating the proportions of pigments in Porphyridium sp. Lewin, grown in artificial media. The cells show an Increase in chlorophyll/B–phycoerythrin ratio in media twice or thrice as saline as sea water, Chlrophyll/carotenoïds ratio is low in media the salinity of which is either low or high. In the case of phycoerythrins, light–absorption ratio at 500 nm and 545 nm vary also with the salinity. Une méthode de mesure par transmission de lumière á travers des lames opalines est utilisée pour évaluer les proportions de pigments chez Porphyridium sp. Lewin cultivé milieux artificiels. Les cellules montrent une augmentation du rapport chlorophylle/B.-phycoérythrine dans les milieux deux outrois fois plus salés que l'eau de mer. Le rapport chlorophylle/carotenoïdesest faible dans les milieux dont la salinityé est soit faible soit élevée. Dans le cas des phycoérythrines, le rapport des absorptions de lumière à 500 nm et 545 nm varie aussi avec la salinityé.  相似文献
