Summary Liverworts are characterized by the possession of typical cell elements, the oil bodies. In the submerse, thalloid liverwortRiella helicophylla (Sphaerocarpales) oil bodies are existing in idioblastic cells only, called oil body cells. Each oil body cell contains only one oil body. The oil body originates from small vacuoles. Their membranes are extremely high in contrast and asymmetric. The lipophilic substances are probably produced inside the oil bodies. At the end of the development of an oil body cell lipophilic and hydrophilic material will be separated from each other inside the oil body. The result is an oil body, consisting of one large spherical oil globule surrounded by a thin layer of hydrophilic matrix.

The development of oil bodies and oil droplets in fruits of olive was examined at the ultrastructural level. Both oil bodies that form in young fruits and oil droplets that develop with fruit maturation are cytoplasmic bodies. The formation of the small oil bodies occurs in localized regions of the cytoplasm. These bodies are closely associated and fuse together, forming a small oil droplet that protruded against and indented the vacuolar membrane. As the fruit matures, new oil bodies appear to form and fuse with the oil droplet, resulting in the formation of a single large oil droplet of about 30 μm in diameter in most mature mesocarp cells. The cytoplasmic region where the oil bodies formed had a granulate, ultrastructural appearance, and cytoplasmic components such as membranes and ribosomes were noticeably absent in these regions. The granulate material coated the oil bodies and oil droplets, and appeared as a thin, compressed band between the round inner surface of the droplets and the indented tonoplast. We suggest that this granulate material is involved in the synthesis of the oil and, with enlargement of the oil bodies, this coat becomes thinner in regions where they are closely associated, resulting in zones where confluence of the oil occurs.  相似文献

为进一步了解武功山地区油脂植物情况,通过野外调查、标本采集鉴定并结合文献的方法,对该区的油脂植物进行统计分析。结果表明武功山地区共有野生油脂植物88科213属383种;形成以樟科、豆科、蔷薇科等为主的优势科类群,以胡椒属、卫矛属、花椒属等为主的优势属类群;生活习性以木本为主。区系地理成分复杂多样,科以热带成分为主,属以温带成分为主,种的地理成分以中国特有分布最多;在分布格局上,垂直方向海拔在400~499 m范围内最多,水平方向以安福县分布油脂植物种类最多。武功山地区含油率超过30%的油脂植物高达116种,体现出该区的油脂植物具有较大的应用开发潜力。  相似文献

利用薄切片法对木姜子茎叶油细胞的发育以及油细胞分布的研究结果表明:油细胞最早发生于第一叶原基以及茎端皮层和髓的基本分生组织中,在未出现油细胞以痛,上述器官的基本分生组织和原分生组织,难以区分油细胞的原始细胞与周围细胞。当油细胞原始细胞呈现出体积较大,液泡化程度较低,细胞核大而明显的特征才明显可辩,以后经过液泡融合,油细胞成熟和油细胞细胞质解体阶段而成为一贮油的囊,油细胞中未出现杯形构造。叶和茎中,  相似文献

Abstract

Fungal arachidonic acid (ARA)-rich oil is an important microbial oil that affects diverse physiological processes that impact normal health and chronic disease. In this article, the historic developments and technological achievements in fungal ARA-rich oil production in the past several years are reviewed. The biochemistry of ARA, ARA-rich oil synthesis and the accumulation mechanism are first introduced. Subsequently, the fermentation and downstream technologies are summarized. Furthermore, progress in the industrial production of ARA-rich oil is discussed. Finally, guidelines for future studies of fungal ARA-rich oil production are proposed in light of the current progress, challenges and trends in the field.  相似文献

Contamination due to chemicals and oil spills can influence the engineering behavior of soils. The results of an investigation conducted to study the effects of oil contamination on compaction characteristics, shear strength, one-dimensional compression, and hydraulic conductivity of a sand are presented in this article. The test results indicate that the compaction characteristics are influenced by oil contamination. The angle of internal friction of sand based on total stress condition was found to decrease with the presence of oil in the pore spaces. One-dimensional compression characteristics of sand are significantly influenced by oil contamination, resulting in a decrease in the value of the constrained modulus with increase in the degree of oil saturation. Hydraulic conductivity was observed to be a function of the initial viscosity and the degree of oil saturation.  相似文献

In the present scenario of depleting oil reservoir, microbial oil has gained much attention over plant and animal based sources. Among different microorganisms, yeast strains are considered superior source for oil production. The cost of oil produced by yeast could further be lowered using cheaper agro-waste and biomass as substrate. This review focuses on key topics which will help in gaining better understanding to enhance lipid production using yeast strains. The effects of oleaginous yeast co-culturing with microalgae, different cheap carbon sources of biomass, and types of yeast species on oil production were highlighted in the review. An overview of mechanisms of oil production from biomass, viz. pretreatment of biomass, fermentation and oil recovery are also provided. Constraints encountered during the oleogenesis or microbial oil accumulation and their probable solutions along with a section on different by-products obtained during oleo-genesis are also discussed.  相似文献

The distribution density of oil cells, the morphology and structure of both oil and mucilage cells, and their localization in the mesophyll of 112 species, 5 varieties and 2 forms in 21 genera of the Lauraceae are comparatively studied with the methods of tissue clearing and paraffin sectioning. The results show that there exist obvious differences of the distribution density of oil cells among the species in the Lauraceae. The presence of oil cells and mucilage cells is found to be a marked anatomical feature of the leaves in most of the plants in the Lauraceae. Their distribution in the mesophyll can be divided into 4 types: type Ⅰ , in which only oil cells are present; type Ⅱ, in which both the oil and mucilage cells are present; type Ⅲ, in which only mucilage cells are present; type Ⅳ, in which neither oil cells nor mucilage cells are present. The distribution density of oil cells, the distribution types of oil cells and mucilage cells and their localization in the mesophyll are of some taxonomic value at the specific level in the Lauraceae. In the whole Lauraceae or in some large genera, the evolutionary trend of the distribution types of oil cells and mucilage cells might be as follows: type Ⅰ → type Ⅱ →type Ⅲ →type Ⅳ. The characteristics of the 4 distribution types of oilcells and mucilage cells support the division of two subfamilies in the Lauraceae.  相似文献

Seawater injection into oil reservoirs for purposes of secondary oil recovery is frequently accompanied by souring (increased sulfide concentrations). Production of hydrogen sulfide causes various problems, such as microbiologically influenced corrosion (MIC) and deterioration of crude oil. Sulfate-reducing bacteria (SRB) are considered to be major players in souring. Volatile fatty acids (VFAs) in oil-field water are believed to be produced by microbial degradation of crude oil. The objective of this research was to investigate mechanisms of souring, focusing specifically on VFA production via crude oil biodegradation. To this end, a microbial consortium collected from an oil–water separator was suspended in seawater; crude oil or liquid n-alkane mixture was added to the culture medium as the sole carbon source, and the culture was incubated under anaerobic conditions for 190 days. Physicochemical analysis showed that preferential toluene degradation and sulfate reduction occurred concomitantly in the culture containing crude oil. Sulfide concentrations were much lower in the alkane-supplemented culture than in the crude oil-supplemented culture. These observations suggest that SRB are related to the toluene activation and VFA consumption steps of crude oil degradation. Therefore, the electron donors for SRB are not only VFA, but many components of crude oil, especially toluene. Alkanes were also degraded by microorganisms, but did not contribute to reservoir souring.  相似文献

油体是植物种子尤其是油料植物种子的重要贮脂细胞器,具有较强的物化稳定性,而且易于通过离心法分离提取。研究表明,油体是由外层的磷脂和油体结合蛋白以及包裹在内部的液态基质(主要为三酰甘油)形成的弹性球体或椭球体。目前,在植物中共发现三类油体结合蛋白,它们主要存在于油体表面。鉴于油体和油体结合蛋白的结构特殊性,二者在生物技术领域得到了广泛应用。本文重点综述了油体在表达纯化外源蛋白方面的优势、策略以及在生产药用蛋白、制备固定化酶、捕捉抗体和药用酶、生产营养素和提高植物抗性等多个领域的研究进展,并介绍了人工油体和油体乳化剂方面的开发应用情况。  相似文献

油桐是我国重要的木本油料植物, 过去对油桐的研究主要集中于栽培和常规育种, 与油桐种仁油脂合成相关的分子机理研究还未见报道。文章采用RNA-seq技术对油桐种子油脂合成的3个不同时期的转录组进行比较, 获得了大量差异表达的Unigene序列。在此基础上, 通过GO分类和Pathway富集性分析将这些差异表达Unigene归类于128个代谢途径, 其中包含与油脂合成相关的脂肪酸生物合成和甘油磷脂代谢途径。桐酸经脂肪酸生物合成途径合成后通过甘油磷脂代谢途径以桐油的形式贮存。将这两个代谢途径的Unigene序列在KEGG数据库中进行比对, 获得了一些关键酶的同源蛋白质。文章通过对编码这些同源蛋白质的基因在油桐种子油脂合成期的表达模式进行分析, 以期为油桐油脂合成, 尤其是桐酸合成机理的解析提供理论参考, 并为油桐的遗传改良提供潜在的基因资源, 从而提高油桐的单位面积产量。  相似文献

从青海油田地层水中分离培养出4株微生物菌种,对其进行了耐温性、耐盐性等进行了探讨,分析了微生物处理前后原油组份及物性变化情况,并采用岩芯流动试验探讨了微生物的驱油效果。结果表明,这几种微生物菌种均能适应青海油田温度及高矿化度地层环境,作用于原油后对原油中的长链饱和烃类物质有较好的降解作用,能使其分子链变短,并产生有机酸或石油羧酸盐类表面活性剂等低分子物质,使原油的粘度、凝点及蜡含量均出现明显的下降,改善原油的流动性能。提高石油采收率。2口井的现场试验证明,微生物采油具有良好的提高石油采收率的效果和清蜡减阻效果。  相似文献

The acute effects of crude oil on glucose uptake rates by marine microorganisms were studied in 215 water and 162 sediment samples collected from both arctic and subarctic marine waters. The mean percentage reduction of glucose uptake rates ranged from 37 to 58 in the water samples exposed to crude oil and from 14 to 36 in the sediment samples. Substrate uptake kinetic studies indicated that the observed reductions by microbial populations exposed to crude oil were caused by metabolic inhibition. The effect of crude oil was less in sediments than in the water samples, with the difference being significant at the P < 0.0002 level. With the exception of one sediment study, all of the differences observed in the uptake rates between treated and nontreated samples were statistically significant. A high degree of variability was observed in the degree which glucose and glutamate uptake rates were altered in water samples exposed to crude oil. In some cases, uptake rates were greater in the samples exposed to crude oil. Data on samples collected in Cook Inlet suggested that areas where pelagic microorganisms are most probably chronically exposed to crude oil are also the areas where the effects of crude oil on glucose uptake are the lowest. Two studies indicated that after pelagic populations are exposed to crude oil for several days, the heterotrophic population adjusts to the presence of crude oil.  相似文献

The essential oil content and composition of Salvia fruticosa (Greek sage) plants growing wild in 20 localities scattered on the island of Crete are studied. The results of our analyses have shown a noticeable variation in the essential oil content (ranging from 1.1 up to 5.1 %) and the amount of the four main oil components: 1,8-cineole (22.7 ? 64.2% of total oil), α-thujone (1.0 ? 19.2%) β-thujone (0.9 ? 25.6%) and camphor (0.8 ? 30.3%). Discriminant analysis revealed that the variation pattern of the essential oil content and the amount of the four main oil components is geographically related, following a W → E direction. Plants grown in Western Crete show a lower essential oil content and their oils are characterised by the predominance of 1,8-cineole. On the other hand, those collected from Eastern Crete exhibit higher values in essential oil content and their oils, besides 1,8-cineole, are rich in α- and β-thujone or camphor. Our findings are further discussed in relation to literature data.  相似文献

This review sought to describe the role played by some components of the microbiota of extra virgin olive oil (EVOO), particularly yeasts, in structuring the physicochemical and sensorial quality of freshly produced olive oil. Yeasts can survive during the entire storage period of the product. To date, approximately 25 yeast species isolated from oil produced in more than six countries have been identified, eight of which are classified as new species. Some yeast species improve the health qualities of oil, whereas many others improve the chemical composition and sensory characteristics based on β-glucosidase and esterase enzymes, which are involved in the hydrolysis of the bitter glucoside known as oleuropein. However, some species, which are typically favoured by the high water content in the oily matrix, such as lipase-producing yeasts, can worsen the initial chemical characteristics of EVOO oil during storage. Some physical treatments that are compatible with the EVOO production specification affect the biotic component of the oil by reducing the concentration of yeasts. The possibility of minimizing the invasive action on the biotic component of the oil by appropriately selecting the physical treatment for each oil is discussed.  相似文献

利用气相色谱法,对杜仲籽油和紫苏籽油的脂肪酸组成、α-亚麻酸含量等进行了比较研究。结果发现,两者不仅脂肪酸GC指纹图谱较为相似(脂肪酸组成、含量基本相同),而且外观、气味、折光率等质量指标也非常相近。说明了杜仲籽油具有与紫苏籽油同样的开发价值。  相似文献

The composition of the essential oil of the fruits, leaves and stems of Daucus glaber Forssk has been studied by GC/MS. It was found that, the essential oil of the fruits consists of monoterpene hydrocarbons (limonene and sylvestrene are the majors) and phenylpropanoids (elemicin is the major). Sylvestrene has never been reported before in the essential oil of any Daucus species. The study of the essential oil of the leaves revealed the presence of monoterpene hydrocarbons; limonene and gamma-terpinene are the majors and a small amount of sylvestrene. The essential oil of stems consists of monoterpene hydrocarbons (gamma-terpinene is the major), terpene alcohols (mainly 4-terpineol) and phenylpropanoids (myristicin and elemicin are the majors). It is interesting that, the essential oil of the fruits is free from any oxygenated terpenes while that of the stems is free from limonene and sylvestrene which are present in the essential oil of the fruits and leaves in fairly large amounts The essential oil of the fruits, leaves and stems shows broad antimicrobial activities against both gram positive and gram negative bacteria. In addition, the volatile oil of the stem, particularly, show activities against Candida albicans (yeast). Also, the prepared oils have variable cytotoxic activities with LC50 21.52, 36.01 and 42.34 microg/ml, respectively.  相似文献

Unstable market systems and consumer preferences for virgin oil have inhibited the development of waste oil re-refining in Japan. In this papery comparative life cycle inventories were developed for re-refining waste oil and for the no-refining case in which the waste oil is incinerated and needs are supplied with virgin oil. Total energy, CO2, NOx, and SO2 emissions were included during the re-refining and consumption (incineration) stages; all are lower in the case of re-refined fuel use. In addition, by using a streamlined LCA matrix, we demonstrate that re-refining waste oil can reduce environmental impacts compared with the case in which virgin oil is chosen.  相似文献

油桐是我国重要的木本油料植物,过去对油桐的研究主要集中于栽培和常规育种,与油桐种仁油脂合成相关的分子机理研究还未见报道。本研究采用转录组测序(RNA-Seq)技术,比较了油桐种子油脂合成3个不同时期的转录组,获得了大量差异表达的Unigene序列。通过GO(GeneOntology)分类和代谢途径富集性分析将这些差异表达的Unigene归类于包含脂肪酸生物合成途径在内的128个代谢途径。随后将脂肪酸生物合成途径中的54个Unigene序列在KEGG(KyotoEncyclopediaofGenesandGenomes)数据库中进行比对,获得了14个关键酶的同源蛋白质。本研究通过对编码这些同源蛋白质的基因在油桐种子油脂合成期的表达模式进行分析,以期为油桐油脂合成,尤其是桐酸合成机理的解析提供理论参考,并为进一步的理论研究和油桐的遗传改良提供潜在的基因资源,从而提高油桐的单位面积产量。  相似文献
