Length‐weight relationships (LWR) are described for eleven indigenous fishes from the upper Jinsha River, which is the upper stretch of the Yangtze River, China. This is the first record of length‐weight relationships for ten of these species in FishBase and new maximum lengths are recorded for seven species.  相似文献

Length‐weight relationships (LWR) were estimated for 37 fish species belonging to ten families from the middle and lower stream of the Hongshui River, one of the main tributaries to the Pearl River, Southwest China. Length‐weight relationships for 26 species are unknown to FishBase and new maximum lengths are recorded for 20 species. These results are useful for fishery research, conservation and management in the Hongshui River.  相似文献

Length‐weight relationships are described for 77 fish species belonging to eight families and 56 genera from the Chishui River, a protected tributary of the upper Yangtze River, China. Length–weight relationships for 56 species were unknown to FishBase and new maximum lengths are recorded for 44 species. These results will be useful for fishery research, management and conservation in the upper Yangtze River Basin.  相似文献

This paper provides the length–weight relationships for six fish species collected from the Anning River, one of the biggest tributaries of the Yalong River in China. A total of 1096 specimens belonging to six fish species were analyzed. Among them, the length–weight relationships for 4 fish species are first‐time reports for FishBase and new maximum lengths of one fish species is also reported.  相似文献

Length‐weight relationships (LWRs) are described for 10 fish species belonging to three families from the Gaula River, a tributary of the Ganga River Basin in India. LWRs for these species were unknown to FishBase, and new maximum lengths are recorded for one species. These results will be useful for fishery research, management and conservation in the least‐explored tributary of the Ganga River Basin.  相似文献

Length‐weight relationships were described for five fish species belonging to three families and four genera from the Daninghe River, one of primary tributaries of the upper Yangtze River, China. A total of 1894 specimens were collected from 2014 to 2016 by using electro‐fishing equipment. Length–weight relationships for five species were recorded previously in FishBase and new maximum total lengths for five species were also presented in this paper. The results will be useful for fishery research, management and conservation in the upper Yangtze River Basin.  相似文献

Length‐weight relationships (LWRs) were determined for two endemic fish species from the Maquan River, the upper of the Yarlung Zangbo River: (Ptychobarbus dipogon Regan, 1905, Schizothorax waltoni Regan, 1905). All the specimens were collected between May and September of 2014. Length–weight relationships for these two fish species were determined for the first time, and new maximum body weights were recorded for these two species. These results will be useful for fishery research, management and conservation of the Yarlung Zangbo River.  相似文献

This paper provides the length–weight relationships for 21 fish species belonging to four families and 19 genera from the Xiangjiang River, a tributary of the middle Yangtze River in China. Among them, the length–weight relationships for 14 fishes are first‐time reports for FishBase, and new maximum total lengths of 13 fishes are also reported.  相似文献

Length‐weight relationships of 18 freshwater fish species from the Nakdong River in South Korea are presented. Length‐weight relationship data for 10 of these species were not available previously.  相似文献

The length‐weight relationships (LWRs) were determined for five Chinese endemic fish species caught by electrofishing, cast nets (mesh size 1 cm) and gillnets (mesh size 4 cm) in the Hongshui River during June and July 2011 and October to November 2012. These are the first LWRs records for these five little‐known species.  相似文献

Body length and weight relationships were estimated for sixteen native freshwater fish species (ten Characidae, three Loricariidae, two Heptapteridae and one Astroblepidae, mainly small‐sized fish) collected in the Andean piedmont Hacha River (Caquetá, Colombia) by electrofishing. These are the first length–weight and length–length parameters reported for the species, which are mostly endemic to the Amazonian basin. Maximum lengths in eight of the sixteen studied species are also reported. Knowledge of this biometric data and their relationships can be relevant in the management and conservation of the local fish and fisheries.  相似文献

Length‐weight relationships were estimated for three little‐known species in Kordan River, in the Namak Lake Basin, Iran. For all species the estimated length‐weight relationship parameters fell within normal distributions and predicted ranges.  相似文献

Length‐weight relationships (LWRs) were evaluated for 11 fish species from the Yibin reach of the upper Yangtze River, southwest China. Samples were collected from April 2012 to January 2013. Length‐weight relationships for 11 species were unknown to FishBase, and new maximum lengths are recorded for five species. Results indicate that parameter b ranged from 2.586 (Sinibotia superciliaris) to 3.164 (Rhinogobio ventralis), and r2 values ranged from 0.931 (Sinibotia superciliaris) to 0.996 (Silurus meridionalis).  相似文献

Length‐weight relationships (LWRs) are described for 10 fish species belonging to three families from the Jhelum and Poonch River, tributaries of the Indus river basin in India. LWRs for these species were unknown to FishBase and new maximum lengths are recorded for three species. These results will be useful for fishery research, management and conservation in these tributaries of Jammu and Kashmir.  相似文献

The length‐weight relationships and new total length are described for five fish species in the Pengxi River basin of the Three Gorges Reservoir. Fish were occasionally sampled from five sites between 2009 and 2014, using various gill nets (mesh size range 2–12 cm) and electrofishing. For four of the five species studied a new maximum total length not yet recorded in previous length‐weight estimates have been found. These data will help to convert length data from field studies in the Three Gorges Reservoir into weight and biomass.  相似文献

Length‐weight relationships (LRWs) were determined for three fish species from the Hainan Island, China. Fish specimens were sampled across the Nandu River and Changhua River from May 2017 to June 2018 with benthic fyke‐nets (stretched mesh size: 0.4 cm), multi‐mesh gillnets (stretched mesh size ranging from 1.0 to 12.5 cm) and electrofishing. Relationships between length and weight were fitted very well for all species (all R2>0.95). The b values of the LRW equations ranging from 2.938 for Liniparhomaloptera qiongzhongensis to 3.259 for Toxabramis houdemeri.  相似文献
