Ten rust species are reported with new information on range of distribution and host relations. Among these,Puccinia fagopyricola andUromyces junci were new to Japan, andAecidium araliae was newly found in northern Honshu. Additional collections were made ofBlastospora smilacis, Puccinia malvacearum andP. orbicula in northern Honshu. New hosts were added toColeosporium solidaginis, C. tussilaginis, Phragmidium miyakeanum andPuccinia caricis, and a new Japanese host toPuccinia malvacearum.V: Trans. Mycol. Soc. The genus is divided into two subgenera:Chrysosphaerella, comprising the colonial species, andPseudochrysosphaerella, the unicellular ones.  相似文献

Seven species of the genus Lophiostoma were the subject of this study. Among these, Lophiostoma mucosum is described and illustrated as a new species. All other species, L. macrostomum, L. semiliberum, L. arundinis, L. caulium, L. caudatum, and L. winteri, are reported for the first time in Japan. A key to the species of Lophiostoma in Japan is given. Three species ofUrocystis onAnemone (Ranunculaceae) are reported based on comparative morphology with specimens collected in Japan.Urocystis anemones, U. japonica, andU. pseudoanemones sp. nov. are separated by the number of ustilospores and sterile cells surrounding the ustilospores in the spore balls. Morphological characteristics, host plants and geographical distribution of these three species are also reported. The genusDiodella, with three species (D. apiculata comb. nov., D. radula comb. nov., andD. teres), is reported for the first time.Borreria limae, B. wunschmannii, B. scabiosoides var.scabiosoides, andB. scabiosoides var.anderssonii are also reported as new to Bolivia.  相似文献

Soils from various areas in Japan were screened for isolation of cleistothecial ascomycetes. From the recent collections, two new species of onygenalean fungi,Gymnascella japonica andGymnostellatospora frigida, are described and illustrated. Three interesting fungi,Aphanoascus saturnoideus, Arachnotheca glomerata andLeucothecium emdenii, are also described as the first records from Japan.  相似文献

The seven reported smut fungi on Commelinaceae are revised. Of these, five are recognised and described:Ustilago aneilematis, U. burkillii, U. commelinae, U. nawaschinii andU. tinantiae. Entyloma commelinae is considered to be a doubtful species andU. rwandensis is a synonym ofU. aneilematis. A new species,Ustilago combensis (type onCommelina benghalensis) is proposed. A key to thesee species is presented.Studies in Heterobasidiomycetes, part 102  相似文献

Three new species of Myrtaceae (Calyptranthes bracteata, Eugenia gonglycocarpa, andMyrcia rupta) from northeastern South America are described and illustrated, and a new combination (Eugenia tetramera) is proposed. The closed-calyx and the completely or partially fused cotyledons ofMyrcia rupta, unusual features for the genus, are discussed and compared with related species inMyrcia andMarlierea.  相似文献

Since the invasion of Uroleucon nigrotuberculatum from North America we searched for parasitoids of this aphid on Solidago altissima in Japan to determine what species of native parasitoids attack the newly invasive aphid. We found three primary parasitoid species: Ephedrus plagiator and Praon yomenae (Braconidae, Aphidiinae) and Aphelinus albipodus (Aphelinidae). We also found eight hyperparasitoid species: Syrphophagus sp. (Encyrtidae), Dendrocerus carpenteri (Megaspilidae), Asaphes suspensus (Pteromalidae) and Pachyneuron aphidis (Pteromalidae) through both E. plagiator and A. albipodus; Phaenoglyphis villosa (Figitidae, Charipinae), Aprostocetus sp. (Eulophidae, Tetrastichinae) and D. laticeps through E. plagiator, and Alloxysta sp. nr brevis (Figitidae, Charipinae) through A. albipodus. Uroleucon nigrotuberculatum is usually attacked by rather polyphagous primary parasitoids, E. plagiator and A. albipodus, in Japan, where an oligophagous parasitoid specialized to allied aphid species is probably absent. The hyperparasitoid community of U. nigrotuberculatum is common to those of the aphids occurring in open field‐type habitats in Japan.  相似文献

Agouticarpa, a new genus of the informalAlibertia group (Rubiaceae), is described and illustrated. It comprises six species, and occurs from Costa Rica to Bolivia. Three species are here described as new:Agouticarpa grandistipula, A. hirsuta, andA. velutina. Additionally, three new combinations are made:A. curvifolia andA. williamsii (previously inGenipa) andA. isernii (previously inAlibertia). Agouticarpa is characterized by being dioecious, having elliptic to abovate, membranaceous stipules, male flowers in a branched dichasial or thyrse-like inflorescence, a poorly developed cup-shaped calyx, pollen grains with 3–7 apertures, and large globose fruits.  相似文献

Four new species ofPiptadenia are described:P. anolidurus (from Amazonian Ecuador, Peru and Brazil),P. buchtienii (from trans-Andean Bolivia),P. cuzcoënsis (from southern Peru), andP. imatacae (from Venezuelan Guayana); andP. adiantoides var.peruviana J. F. Macbr. is raised in rank toP. peruviana. In relation toP. imatacae the transfer ofP. uaupensis Benth. andP. floribunda Kleinhoonte toAdenopodia Presl is shown to be ill-advised. The affinities of each new species are discussed and critical characters are illustrated.Mimosa tessmanii Harms is newly synonymized withP. uaupensis.
