According to data of integrated trawl surveys, specific features of distribution and some traits of biology of the two-line eelpout Bothrocara brunneum in the Sea of Okhotsk are shown. The species under investigation is spread over the entire sea, and the average density of its distribution averages 0.29 ind./km2 or 0.11 kg/km2. It is found at depths of 200–1995 m, mainly in the range of 300–900 m. Juveniles inhabit large depths, while large individuals are distributed over the entire slope. Optimal temperature of habitation is 1.5–2.3°C. The main center of reproduction is the slope of the northern part of the sea. In catches, individuals with a length of 6–71 (on average, 41) cm and a weight of 20–2600 (757) g occur. Sexual maturation takes place on reaching a length of 45–50 cm; at the same time, gravimetric increments begin to be ahead of linear ones. Sex ratio is 1 : 1. Sexual dimorphism with respect to sizes was not revealed. Spawning is extended: individuals with mature gonads are found in the summer-autumn period. In net catches, fish aged 4–8 years dominate, while fish aged 2–7 years dominate in trawl catches.  相似文献

Based on materials of trawl studies performed from 1992 to 2002 off the Pacific coast of Kamchatka and the northern Kuril Islands in the framework of the integrated (VNIRO, KamchatNIRO, Sakh-NIRO) program on the study of fishery resources of the continental slope, data on the distribution and biology of rock greenling Hexagrammos lagocephalus were analyzed. It was elucidated that this species is extremely eurybathic; the range of its seasonal vertical migrations embraces depths of 1–2 m in summer, and in the spawning period and up to 665 m in winter. The spatial distribution has a mosaic pattern, maximum concentrations were recorded at the slope and shelf of the Shumshu Island and the southern extremity of Kamchatka. The size, weight, and sex composition, and the maturation and feeding of the rock greenling are considered. Maximum fish sizes in trawl catches are 58 cm and 2.63 kg; sex composition is characterized by the domination of females in all size groups (79%). The bulk of feeding consisted of Cephalopoda, small crustaceans—Amphipoda and Isopoda—as well as the eggs of fish and Gastropoda. With an increase in sizes, the greenling passes from feeding on small benthic organisms to larger movable forms.  相似文献

The present study was carried out on the Catalan coast, the northern limit of the geographic distribution of Pomatomus saltatrix (Linnaeus, 1766) in the Mediterranean. Within the area studied, both larvae and adults were more abundant in the southern part, where surface temperature was slightly higher than in the north. Spawning of P. saltatrix was limited to the warmest months, from July to September, when the surface temperature was about 25° C, The most common larval sizes, between 2.25 and 2.75 mm s.l. , were distributed over the continental shelf, and the greatest concentrations were found between 20 and 100 m, suggesting an inshore spawning. Larvae, including the smallest sizes, were found in the most superficial layers and no evidence of vertical migration was observed. The species was regularly fished in the southern zone, maximum monthly catches ranging between 10–20 tonnes. The presence of adults in the coastal zone showed a marked seasonality closely related to temperatur, the lowest catches corresponding to the coldest months.  相似文献

We examined the diversity of ground-dwelling (epigaeic) beetles at different elevations of the northern and southern slopes of Mt. Jirisan National Park, South Korea. We selected eight study sites from both slopes and collected the beetles 10 times from May 2018 to August 2019 using pitfall traps. We collected a total of 67 species and 12,304 individuals and found higher species richness and abundance among the beetles from the northern slope (54 species and 6,969 individuals) than the southern slope (46 species and 5,335 individuals). We observed that the proportion of species based on the biogeographic affinity (Palearctic or Oriental) did not depend on the elevation and slope. The species richness increased with elevation and the abundance showed hump-shaped with a peak at 800 m. While the overall beta diversity was similar at the mountain and slope levels, the underlying processes such as spatial turnover and nestedness differed at the mountain and slope levels, respectively. The aim of this study is to provide information on the fishing pattern of Parapenaeus longirostris in the northern Tyrrhenian Sea (western Mediterranean), in order to improve the management of the resource in the area. Data were obtained from commercial fishery, covering the period 1991–2002. Catch rates revealed notable inter-annual fluctuation of the P. longirostris landing, probably due to the life cycle of the species. The highest yields (kg per hour of trawl) of the commercial fishery were obtained at depths ranging between 180 and 300 m, the lower ones at depths between 100 and 180 m, where small specimens are more abundant. Commercial catches were characterised by a very low presence of specimens smaller than 20 mm carapace length (CL), mainly due to the deeper localisation of the fishing grounds when compared to the recruitment areas of the species. The size at which 50% of the specimens were discarded by the fishermen was 15 mm CL, while the estimated size at first capture of the individuals caught by the commercial net was 12.4 mm CL.  相似文献

The larvae of Cepola rubescens Linnaeus, 1766 were collected from May to October with a surface temperature of 17.5°C at the beginning of the spawning. They were widely distributed over the continental shelf and the greatest concentrations were found at stations with depth around 100 m. During all months, most of the larvae were of small size, between 2.0 and 3.0 mm s.l . The juveniles and adults were caught in a wide range of depths, from less than 25 m to about 200 m, and the highest abundance was also found at depths of about 100 m, but no large individuals were found at depths less than 50 m. The catches of the trawling fleet showed a marked seasonality, with maximum values at the end of spring and minimum at the end of autumn and the beginning of winter. This seasonality seems to be related to reproduction since the highest catches were obtained during the spawning period.  相似文献

The aggregation and feeding behaviour of invertebrate scavengers in areas disturbed by trawling was investigated at three different localities. At each site a fishing disturbance was created using a commercial 4 m beam trawl and scavenger density was quantified using a light beam trawl. At one site two diver surveys were also carried out; along a line fished with a scallop dredge or a beam trawl on two separate occasions. For all experiments the fished and adjacent unfished control areas were sampled before, and at intervals after, the initial fishing disturbance. Sampling with the light beam trawl revealed that hermit crabs Pagurus bernhardus moved into areas which had been fished with a 4 m beam trawl at an experimental site near Anglesey. The density of these hermit crabs increased significantly in the fished area after fishing had taken place, but no change in density occurred in the adjacent control (unfished) area. At two other sites (Red Wharf Bay, Anglesey and a site offshore from Walney Island) there were no detectable increases in scavenger numbers in the fished areas. Furthermore, at the site near Walney Island, numbers of hermit crabs P. bernhardus, swimming crabs Liocarcinus depurator and starfish Asterias rubens actually decreased after fishing. Thus the responses of scavengers to towed fishing gears varied considerably between different communities. At Red Wharf Bay, divers observed similar responses of scavengers to both beam trawl and scallop dredge disturbance. Four predatory species were observed feeding in the fished area; starfish A. rubens, hermit crabs P. bernhardus, brittlestars Ophiura ophiura and whelks Buccinum undatum. These predators fed on damaged bivalves, echinoderms, crustaceans, whelks and polychaetes. The proportion of starfish feeding in the fished area was significantly higher after fishing had taken place. Demersal fishing activities provide food for scavengers in the form of damaged animals which are left in the tracks of the trawl or dredge. The responses of scavengers to fishing disturbance are not always manifested as a large increase in their abundance. It is clear that the magnitude of response varies between species and between habitat types.  相似文献

The fish stock of a deep temperate, mesotrophic lake was sampled at different depths using a fixed‐frame fry trawl, during two nights in mid‐September 2009. Additionally, horizontal and vertical hydroacoustics were used simultaneously to evaluate fish abundance and biomass estimates obtained by the trawl. Roach Rutilus rutilus and smelt Osmerus eperlanus were the dominant species of young‐of‐the‐year (YOY) fish in the trawl catches from the surface layers (0–9 m). Bleak Alburnus alburnus dominated the catch of older fish in the upper part of the surface profile (0–6 m). Around the thermocline (9–13 m) smelt dominated the catches of both the YOY and older fish. Beneath the thermocline (13–36 m) vendace Coregonus albula dominated the catch of YOY fish, and smelt was the only species of older fish in the trawl catches. Species composition, abundance and biomass of the YOY and older fish were heterogeneous throughout the depth profiles of the lake, but only abundance differed significantly between the layers. The hydroacoustics gave relatively similar estimates of abundance and biomass to those obtained by the trawl in all the depths sampled. Our results indicate that there is a clear separation of small fish of different species along the vertical profile of a deep temperate lake during the night, and an unequal vertical distribution of fish abundance and biomass. 坡向尺度差异对大理苍山捕食线虫真菌分布格局的影响   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
为了解大理苍山地区不同尺度坡向上捕食线虫真菌的分布格局及其驱动因素,利用系统采样法对大理苍山东、西坡及其次级南、北坡的捕食线虫真菌进行调查。按照五点采样法采集苍山东、西坡及其次级南、北坡土壤样品共300份。采用传统方法对捕食线虫真菌进行分离纯化,结合形态特征和分子生物学方法鉴定所得菌株,按照新分类系统进行分类,鉴定为3属12种57株捕食线虫真菌。结果表明:苍山各尺度坡向捕食线虫真菌检出率和多样性指数均是西坡大于东坡,次级南坡大于次级北坡。次级南、北坡向间捕食线虫真菌群落差异大于东、西坡向间;西坡次级南、北坡向间的群落差异最大;东、西坡向的次级南坡向间群落差异也较大;东坡次级北坡与西坡次级北坡间的群落最为相似。产黏性菌网的Arthrobotrys属、产黏性球和黏性分枝的Dactylellina属在东、西坡及其次级南、北坡间均有分布,而产收缩环的Drechslerella属仅在西坡有分布。因此,坡向是影响苍山捕食线虫真菌空间分布格局的驱动因子之一,不同尺度坡向上捕食线虫真菌分布格局存在差异;次级南、北坡间捕食线虫真菌群落差异性比东、西坡间大,小尺度坡向间地理屏障对捕食线虫真菌分布格局的影响大于大尺度坡向间环境异质性的作用;环境筛选和扩散限制均会影响到捕食线虫真菌的群落构建过程。  相似文献

Evidence on occurrence in catches and characteristic of the spatial-bathymetric distribution and size indices of four species of Cottidae—frog sculpin Myoxocephalus stelleri, brightbelly sculpin Microcottus sellaris, antlered sculpin Enophrys diceraus, and furseal sculpin Stelgistrum stejnegeri—in summer-autumn months in the Okhotsk Sea waters off Kamchatka (site from 51°15′ to 57°20′ N, depths of 11–100 m) are provided. The first three species occur mainly in the northern part of the shelf above 54° N at depths smaller than 30–40 m within a comparatively well warmed surface water mass of seasonal modification at near-bottom temperature values above 6°C at various solid grounds. Maximum catches of S. stejnegeri were recorded only at a site of the western Kamchatka shelf from 54°00′ to 54°20′ N on pebbly-stony ground in a narrow bathy-metric range of 41–60 m on the boundary between the well warmed surface water mass of autumn modification and the cold intermediate water mass at a water temperature below 2°C. Evidence on the size-weight indices of the studied species of Cottidae in trawl catches in the Okhotsk Sea waters off Kamchatka in the study period is provided.  相似文献

Biomass of bottom and near-bottom fishes in the eastern Sea of Okhotsk has been calculated using results of a bottom trawl survey performed in the summer 2010 through depths of 200?C1000 m. Obtained data are compared with the results of investigations performed in compatible water areas during the same season of 1989 and 1997. Biomass variability patterns of major species have been revealed for the period of more than two recent decades. The bathymetric and spatial distribution of major fish species has been revealed using the modern information. Species are listed whose commercial catches could be enlarged.  相似文献

Population characteristics of the Patagonian toothfish Dissostichus eleginoides were investigated based on material collected from both trawl and longline fisheries in Falkland Islands' waters. The fish occurred between 56 and 2122 m and attained 225 cm total length ( L T). Males matured earlier, L T at 50% maturity was 86 cm for males v . 90 cm for females. Subadult fish foraged at depths of <600 m, whereas adult Patagonian toothfish lived at >600 m. Spawning occurred on slopes of the Burdwood Bank at c . 1000 m depth with a minor peak in May, and a major peak in July to August. Males arrived at the spawning grounds first. Between spawning peaks both sexes remained around the Burdwood Bank with males occurring at greater depths than females. The Patagonian toothfish in south‐east Patagonia and the Falkland Islands had a long juvenile and sub‐adult period in the relatively shallow and warm waters of the outer shelf and upper slope unlike that of juveniles in other Patagonian toothfish populations. The migratory life style of the south‐west Atlantic population is probably very different from that of other populations, which tend to be resident as they are inclined to inhabit the waters around oceanic islands and sea mounts with narrow shelf areas.  相似文献

Results of trawl catches show that in the summer period, in the waters of Primorsky Krai, Russia, Sea of Japan, the purplegray sculpin Gymnocanthus detrisus occurs at depths of 20 to 411 m, preferring the range 80–250 m. The temperature of the species’ habitat varies from 0.8 to 8.6 ° C, and the optimal one is 1.2–2.2 °C. G. detrisus occurs at the preferred depths more frequently in the southern area—the Peter the Great Bay, which is more favorable for foraging; in the area of North Primorsky Krai it was found both at greater and lesser depths. The latter is probably determined by the more limited spreading of waters with unsuitable temperatures for the species there. The body size of the purplegray sculpin grows with depth. Juveniles avoid depths over 200 m, where inflow of low-temperature waters is recorded. G. detrisus, which inhabits waters of Primorsky Krai, is represented mainly by females; the proportion of males exceeds that of females only in the 21–27 cm size group. This may be related to the lower growth rate in males after maturation as compared to females.  相似文献

In the northwestern part of the Sea of Japan, skate Bathyraja parmifera in catches of the bottom trawl occurs at depths of 40 to 830 m at the near-bottom temperature of 0.4–4.9°C. Throughout the year, the skate performs migrations within the continental slope and, in the feeding period, inhabits mainly the depth range of 300 to 500 m. Maximal average density of aggregations of B. parmifera is observed in waters of northern Primorye; minimal average density is observed in Peter the Great Bay and on the Yamato Bank. In catches, skates with a length of 17–130 cm and a weight of 0.5–18.8 kg are recorded; however, fish with a length of 80–115 cm dominate. Individuals with a length of up to 40 cm feed mainly on amphipods, and larger immature and adult individuals feed on decapods, cephalopods, and fish. The value of the daily ration of B. parmifera with its growth decreases from 2.4 to 0.9% of the body weight. Specific ecological features of B. parmifera are a cause of its considerable underfishing by the bottom trawl; therefore, the total resource of this species in the considered region may be at the level of maximal estimates obtained during surveys and comprise no less than 20000 t.  相似文献

In marine ecosystems, information on diel rhythmic movements of species is of importance to characterize temporal changes in the community structure. In this sense, patterns of bottom trawl catches of the pandalid caridean shrimps Chlorotocus crassicornis , Plesionika gigliolii and Plesionika martia were analysed, as a proxy of the timing and duration of their presence on the seabed, close to the autumn equinox (October) and the summer solstice (June) on the continental shelf (100 m) and the upper slope (400 m). The size structure of catches was also studied for each species to assess the possible occurrence of a modulation of rhythmic movements during ontogeny. Data showed marked diel patterns of catchability on the bottom in association with light intensity cycles in both sampling seasons and depths. Chlorotocus crassicornis on the shelf showed nocturnal peaks in catches. On the slope, Pl. gigliolii showed mainly a higher catchability at dusk and dawn, whereas the catchability of Pl. martia was mainly higher during the day time. Juveniles and adults of Pl. gigliolii and Pl. martia showed ontogenetic differences in their occurrence patterns. This phenomenon is discussed by comparing the reported catchability patterns with those of some prey species that also show rhythmic behaviour in association with the day–night cycle.  相似文献

山地小气候特征对解释林线位置、形成机制以及生长-气候关系具有重要意义。由于高山气象数据匮乏,尤其是土壤水热数据的缺失,使以往对华北地区山地土壤的温湿度变化特征知之甚少。基于5个整年(2012—2016年)的连续监测,分析了华北芦芽山针叶林分布上下限土壤(10cm)温度和含水量的季节变化特征及差异。结果表明:(1)在芦芽山针叶林分布上限,北坡土壤10月末冻结,5月初解冻,南坡土壤冻结和解冻日均滞后于北坡,生长季内南北坡土壤均温、生长季长度无显著差异(122d,8.1℃和110d,7.6℃);(2)南北坡林线土壤含水量最低值都出现在冬季(1月),最高值则在秋季(10月和9月),并且南坡生长季土壤含水量(0.350 m3/m3)显著大于北坡(0.247 m3/m3);(3)与针叶森林的分布下限(2040 m a.s.l.)相比,林线土壤热量指标(年均温、生长季均温、最热月均温和生长季长度)均明显偏低,而土壤生长季内含水量显著偏大。研究结果揭示了亚高山区土壤冻融过程中温度和含水量的耦合关系,并进一步证实了芦...  相似文献

Synopsis Demersal fish communities associated with hard bottom habitats in the South Atlantic Bight were investigated in three depth zones (inner, middle and outer shelf) between 30° and 33°N latitudes. Fishes were sampled with trawls and baited fishing gear, and were observed by remotely operated underwater television. Most demersal hard bottom fishes demonstrated seasonal differences in abundance in each depth zone, especially at the inner and outer shelf stations. Diversity values from trawl catches were higher in winter than summer at inner and outer shelf stations, but lower in winter at middle shelf stations. Species richness was higher in summer than in winter at most stations, but H' diversity patterns were more influenced by community evenness. Diversity values were higher than those reported for similar depths in the Middle Atlantic Bight. Mean biomass of demersal teleosts for all stations combined was slightly greater in winter than in summer. There was no significant difference in biomass between stations in summer, however, middle shelf stations had significantly greater biomass than inner or outer shelf stations in winter. Biomass estimates from the hard bottom areas studied were considerably higher than those reported in the literature for sand bottom areas in the South Atlantic Bight, but less than those reported for tropical reefs. Cluster analysis revealed differences in community composition between day and night trawl tows at all stations, and greater seasonal differences in species composition at inner and outer shelf stations than at middle shelf depths. Underwater television provided useful complementary data to trawl catches, documented the presence of large fishes which avoided the trawl, and provided information on the community composition at high relief stations which could not be trawled.  相似文献

Question: Does aspect affect hydroseeding success and the development of vegetation during early vegetation establishment on the steep slopes of coal wastes during the reclamation process? Location: Open‐pit coal mine near Villanueva de la Peña, northern Spain. Methods: In the first year after hydroseeding, we monitored the dynamics of hydroseeded species in three permanent plots of 20 m2 on north‐ and south‐facing slopes every two months. Soil properties and weather conditions were also monitored. Results: Aspect was related to total plant cover during early revegetation, and south‐facing slopes had the lowest cover. Aspect also influenced the early dynamics of hydroseeded grasses and legumes establishing on these slopes. Grass cover was greater on the north slope throughout the study, but differences in plant cover between north and south slopes appeared later for the legumes. Aspect also affected the relative contribution of both of grasses and legumes to the total plant cover, with grasses dominant on both northern and southern slopes, except during the summer on the southern slope. The species with the greatest difference in cover between the north‐ and south‐facing slopes were Festuca spp., Lolium perenne and Trifolium repens. Conclusion: In coal mine reclamation areas of Mediterranean climates, differences in the development of hydroseeded species depended on the slope of the coal mine reclamation areas, and this information is of importance to managers in selecting species for use in reclamation.  相似文献
