可吸入颗粒物(PM10)和细颗粒物(PM2.5)既是造成空气污染的主要原因之一,也是大部分城市的首要污染物.本文在分析PM10和PM2.5对环境和人类健康影响的基础上,重点综述了PM10和PM2.5组成、来源、质量浓度变化规律及影响因素;介绍了PM10和PM2.5监测网络布局、分析方法的原理和特点;归纳了个体和区域尺度上森林去除PM10和PM25的研究方法、速率和影响机制.探讨了目前该领域研究中存在的问题:由于缺乏不同梯度和背景地区大气PM10和PM2.5比较观测研究,未能揭示各类因素对PM10和PM2.5的复合影响;合理布局PM10和PM2.5监测网络、正确选择监测方法,并以手工方法所获数据作为比对和校验,是保证监测数据有效性的基础;有关森林去除PM2.5研究较少,未能在细胞、组织、器官和个体水平上阐明其去除PM10和PM2.5的生理过程和生态学机理.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

Morningness–Eveningness (M–E) has been associated with school performance when school activities are arranged early in the morning. This study aims to evaluate this association in 224 adolescents of a secondary school in Montevideo, Uruguay, attending either morning or afternoon shifts. Students’ socio-demographic characteristics and performance indicators were similar across shifts, while afternoon-shift students exhibited later circadian preferences. After controlling for socio-demographic and other educational variables, eveningness was associated with lower grades only in morning-shift students. Our study suggests that eveningness influence on school performance is contingent on the temporal arrangement of scholar activities.  相似文献

Coalmines, which are major contributors of particulate matter in the form of coal dust, are expanding globally into rural environments. However, ecological effects on organisms interacting with coal‐dusted foliage in mining landscapes are unknown. We tested how the behaviour, development and survival of a polyphageous insect herbivore, Helicoverpa armigera (Hübner) (Lepidoptera: Noctuidae) is affected by consuming tomato leaves Lycopersicon esculentum laden with coal dust. We tested (a) feeding site establishment preference of neonates, (b) feeding behaviour and leaf consumption of late‐instar larvae, (c) survival of neonates and (d) survival and development of late‐instar larvae. We found that coal dust consumption increased the mortality of late‐instar larvae but did not influence their development. Despite long‐term implications for survival, late‐instar larvae did not adjust their feeding behaviour or the amount of leaf material consumed in response to foliar coal dust. Contrastingly, when neonate H. armigera were given a choice, they avoided establishing themselves on the coal‐dusted adaxial surface of leaves. Neonate mortality was 99% within 7 days, with no effect of coal dust. Our study provides the first data on the impact of coal dust on an insect herbivore. This has implications for ecological interactions in landscapes adjoining coalmines.  相似文献

细胞凋亡是细胞生命活动中一种预定的、并受到严格控制的程序性死亡,它是细胞内一系列促凋亡因子和抗凋亡因子相互作用后获得平衡的结果。细胞凋亡的调控可以发生在表观遗传、转录、翻译、修饰、转运等不同水平,也可以发生在细胞不同的区域,如细胞核、胞质、线粒体、质膜等处。作者近年来发现的新的促/抗凋亡因子从多种不同的角度去诠释细胞凋亡网络的调控。例如,Caspase新的激活机制;凋亡蛋白磷酸化和泛素化修饰以及蛋白通过对中间纤维的影响来诱导线粒体介导的凋亡等等。另外,对凋亡信号如何从胞核流向胞质进而促发线粒体引起的凋亡途径也进行了描述。这些新的凋亡调控机理进一步证明了,细胞凋亡可以发生在细胞生长发育不同的时相和空间,并存在着一个极其复杂的信号传递网络,这一调控网络一旦失去平衡,细胞会引发肿瘤。  相似文献

This paper aims to show that references to genes and genomes are counterproductive in legal and political understandings of what it is to be human and a unique individual. To support this claim, I will give a brief overview of the many incompatible meanings the term ‘identity’ has gathered in reference to genes or genome in the contexts of biology and family ancestry, personal identity, species identity. One finds various and incompatible understandings of these expressions. While genetics is usually considered to deliver definitive knowledge about history and the future, genomics seems to work with more complicated relations between DNA, inheritance and phenotype. In genomics, ‘identity’ is no longer about identification and status markers but about individualization. Regulatory and legal documents project from traits to genomes, implying that the individuality is at least represented, if not created, in a unique genome. Boundaries between humans and other animals, between different ‘kinds’ of humans, and between all individual humans are re‐established via reference to the chemical matter of DNA. My analysis will show how this trend is a reactionary response to modern understandings of identities as social products and that it ignores new biomedical understandings of human bodies.  相似文献

Western culture views insects and arachnids as pests and vermin that need to be controlled. They usually are not considered as something to be preserved. Accordingly, arthropods and other small organisms have not been taken seriously for conservation by policy makers and the conservation community at large. Having existed for more than 400 million years and after surviving the Permian and Cretaceous mass extinctions, arthropods have been the most successful of all living things and along with other invertebrates constitute more than three-quarters of today's global biodiversity. Arthropods are major components of diverse ecosystems and are the major players in functioning of ecosystem processes. Nevertheless, arthropods, which are the least known and, along with other plants and animals, are relentlessly vanishing before our eyes. Thus, aside from anthropocentric perception and societal prejudice, arthropods certainly are not pests in an ecological or evolutionary context and have an inherent biological right to exist in an evolutionary context, with ecological and instrumental values. They must be preserved because of their inherent values but also because we need them for human survival. Thus, arthropods must become an important and necessary part of the conservation strategy at all levels of environmental organization, from populations and species to ecosystems and landscapes.Insect conservation aims at saving both endangered species and ecosystem processes with a multitude of approaches targeted at different scales. Conservation efforts for arthropods are daunting because all the odds are against them: whereas species diversity, population size and biomass are so large, taxonomy and faunal information are inadequate; whereas the need for taxonomic and biodiversity information increases greatly, the shortage of taxonomic expertise worsens.Basic issues of biodiversity and the loss of species are reviewed. The goals and strategies for insect conservation are discussed with a focus on inventory and monitoring. Taxonomic and environmental surveys are compared, and the needs for biodiversity monitoring are discussed as ecological monitoring process based on inventory data. This monitoring focuses on the health of nested biodiversity (composition, structure and process) and the state of species, differing from other contemporary monitoring efforts.  相似文献
