Four chlorophyll-protein complexes have been resolved from the cyanophyte, Nostoc sp., by sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis at 4 C. Complexes solubilized by SDS from Spinacia oleracea were run for comparison. As has been well documented, the P700-chlorophyll a-protein complex from the higher plant and blue-green algal samples are similar, and the light-harvesting pigment protein complex is present only in the former. Most noteworthy are two closely migrating chlorophyll proteins in Nostoc sp. which have approximately the same mobility as a single chlorophyll-protein band resolvable from spinach. The absorption maximum of the complex from spinach is at 667 nanometers, and those of the two complexes from Nostoc sp. are at 667 and 669 nanometers; the fluorescence emission maximum at −196 C is at 685 nanometers, and the 735 nanometer fluorescence peak, characteristic of the P700-chlorophyll a-protein complex, is absent. The apoproteins of these new complexes from Nostoc sp. and spinach are in the kilodalton range. It appears that at least one of these two chlorophyll-protein complexes from Nostoc sp. compares with those recently described by others from higher plants and green algae as likely photosystem II complexes, perhaps containing P680, although no photochemical data are yet available.  相似文献

The new pyrazole ligand 5-(2-hydroxyphenyl)-3-methyl-1-(2-pyridylo)-1H-pyrazole-4-carboxylic acid methyl ester (2) and the corresponding Pt(II), Pd(II) and Cu(II) complexes 3-5 have been synthesized as potential anticancer compounds, and characterized using IR, and (1)H NMR as well as mass spectrometry. The 3-D structures of the Cu(II) complexes were determined by quantum mechanic calculation DFT methodology (density functional theory). The cytotoxicity assay of the ligand and complexes has been performed on leukemia cell lines. In general, the complexes showed lower cytotoxicity than cisplatin, and the Pt(II) and Cu(II) complexes were found to be more efficient in the induction of leukemia cell death than the Pd(II) complex. Our investigations indicate that the antiproliferating activity of the Pt(II) and Cu(II) complexes was partly due to the modulation of cellular differentiation.  相似文献

Preparations of copper(II) and palladium(II) complexes of 4-amino-5-methylthio-3-(2-pyridyl)-1,2,4-triazole (L(1)) and the copper(II) complex of 1,4-dihydro-4-amino-3-(2-pyridyl)-5-thioxo-1,2,4-triazole (HL) are described. These complexes have been characterized by means of spectroscopy and microanalysis. Molecular structures of HL (1), [CuCl(2)(H(2)L)]Cl.2H(2)O (2a), cis-[CuCl(2)(L(1))] (3), and cis-[PdCl(2)(L(1))] (4) have been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The HL ligand acts as a N,S bidentate through the thioxo moiety and the exo-amino group whilst the ligand L(1) forms N,N coordination complexes through the pyridine and triazole nitrogen atoms. Speciation in solution of the systems Cu/HL and Cu/L(1) have been determined by means of potentiometry and spectrophotometry as well as for the Cu/L(1)/A (HA=glycine) system in order to determine species present at physiological pH. Antiproliferative activity of these complexes and their ligands was evaluated, using the AlamarBlue Assay, on normal human fibroblasts (HF) and human fibrosarcoma tumor (HT1080) cells. The copper compounds cis-[CuCl(2)(H(2)L)]Cl and cis-[CuCl(2)(L(1))] exerted significant antiproliferative activity of both normal and neoplastic cells; although dose-response experiments revealed that the HT1080 cell line was more sensitive to the tested drugs than normal fibroblasts.  相似文献

Peptides corresponding to Cys2His2 zinc finger domains from which one amino acid has been deleted have been synthesized and their metal-binding properties characterized. In contrast to earlier reports (Párraga, G., S. Horvath, L. Hood, E. T. Young, and R. E. Klevit. 1990. Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci. USA. 87:137-141.), such peptides do bind metal ions such as cobalt(II). A peptide with the sequence ProTyrLysCysProGluCysLysSerPheSerGlnLysSerAspLeuValLysHisGlnArgThrHis ThrGly (which corresponds to a previously characterized consensus zinc finger sequence from which a Gly residue immediately following the second Cys residue has been deleted) was found to form a 1:1 peptide to cobalt(II) complex with an absorption spectrum quite similar to those previously observed for zinc finger peptide-cobalt(II) complexes. The dissociation constant for this complex is 6 x 10(-6)M, a factor of 100 times higher than that for the parent peptide. A peptide with the sequence LysProTyrProCysGlyLeuCysArgCysPheThrArgArgAspLeuLeulleArgHisAlaGln - LyslleHisSerGlyAsnLeu corresponding to a similar mutation of the peptide ADR1 was also characterized. Spectroscopic studies with cobalt(II) revealed that this peptide forms both 1:1 and 2:1 peptide to cobalt(II) complexes. The absorption spectra of the two forms and the dissociation constants were determined via deconvolution methods. In contrast, the parent peptide ADR1a was found to form only a 1:1 complex under comparable conditions and this 1:1 complex was found to be more stable than that for the mutant. These results reveal that deletion mutations do adversely affect the stability of zinc finger peptide-metal complexes but that the effects are not as drastic as had been previously described.  相似文献

Affinity labelling of E. coli ribosomes with the 2',3'-O-[4-(N-2-chloroethyl)-N-methylamino]benzylidene derivative of AUGU6 was studied within the initiation complex (complex I) obtained by using fMet-tRNAMetf and initiation factors and within the pretranslocational complex (complex II) obtained by treatment of complex I with the ternary complex Phe-tRNAPhe.GTP.EF-Tu. Both proteins and rRNA of 30 S as well as 50 S subunits were found to be labelled. Sets of proteins labelled within complexes I and II differ considerably. Within complex II, proteins S13 and L10 were labelled preferentially. On the other hand, within complex I, multiple modification is observed (proteins S4, S12, S13, S14, S15, S18, S19, S20/L26 were found to be alkylated) despite the single fixation of a template in the ribosome by interaction of the AUG codon with fMet-tRNAMetf.  相似文献

The Mn donor complex in the S1 and S2 states and the iron-quinone acceptor complex (Fe2+-Q) in O2-evolving photosystem II (PS II) preparations from a thermophilic cyanobacterium, Synechococcus sp., have been studied with X-ray absorption spectroscopy and electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR). Illumination of these preparations at 220-240 K results in formation of a multiline EPR signal very similar to that assigned to a Mn S2 species observed in spinach PS II, together with g = 1.8 and 1.9 EPR signals similar to the Fe2+-QA- acceptor signals seen in spinach PS II. Illumination at 110-160 K does not produce the g = 1.8 or 1.9 EPR signals, nor the multiline or g = 4.1 EPR signals associated with the S2 state of PS II in spinach; however, a signal which peaks at g = 1.6 appears. The most probable assignment of this signal is an altered configuration of the Fe2+-QA- complex. In addition, no donor signal was seen upon warming the 140 K illuminated sample to 215 K. Following continuous illumination at temperatures between 140 and 215 K, the average X-ray absorption Mn K-edge inflection energy changes from 6550 eV for a dark-adapted (S1) sample to 6551 eV for the illuminated (S2) sample. The shift in edge inflection energy indicates an oxidation of Mn, and the absolute edge inflection energies indicate an average Mn oxidation state higher than Mn(II). Upon illumination a significant change was observed in the shape of the features associated with 1s to 3d transitions. The S1 spectrum resembles those of Mn(III) complexes, and the S2 spectrum resembles those of Mn(IV) complexes. The extended X-ray absorption fine structure (EXAFS) spectrum of the Mn complex is similar in the S1 and S2 states. Simulations indicate O or N ligands at 1.75 +/- 0.05 A, transition metal neighbor(s) at 2.73 +/- 0.05 A, which are assumed to be Mn, and terminal ligands which are probably N and O at a range of distances around 2.2 A. The Mn-O bond length of 1.75 A and the transition metal at 2.7 A indicate the presence of a di-mu-oxo-bridged Mn structure. Simulations indicate that a symmetric tetranuclear cluster is unlikely to be present, while binuclear, trinuclear, or highly distorted tetranuclear structures are possible. The striking similarity of these results to those from spinach PS II suggests that the structure of the Mn complex is largely conserved across evolutionarily diverse O2-evolving photosynthetic species.  相似文献

Epididymal cytosol fractions of adult short-time castrated rats contained at least two different androgen protein complexes by experiments in vivo (Complex I and II).Complex I is probably located intracellularly in the epididymal cells. It was specific for 5α-dihydrotestosterone (DHT) and appeared to be very similar to the cytoplasmic DHT-receptor complexes in rat ventral prostate. By ultracentrifugation on sucrose gradients, it sedimented as heavy aggregates 8–10 S complexes and 3–4 S complexes, which dissociated into 3–4 S complexes at high ionic strength. Complex I was eluted in the void volume from columns of Sephadex G-200.Complex II was also specific for DHT and showed physical properties similar to those of the androgen binding protein (ABP) in the testicular fluid. It was eluted between immunoglobulin G (IgG) (53 Å) and albumin (36 Å) by gel filtration on Sephadex G-200. The sedimentation coefficient was 4.5–5 S (mean 4.6 SW, 20) at both high and low ionic strength.Complex I and the cytosol receptors for DHT in the rat ventral prostate were both destroyed by heating at 50° C for 30 min, addition of 1 mM p-chloro-mercuri-phenyl-sulphonate (PCMPS) and charcoal absorption (1 mg/mg protein) overnight, whereas complex II was not influenced by similar treatment.Hemi-castration for 4 weeks caused complex II to disappear completely from the castrated side, confirming the intraluminal localization of this complex. Complex I was not influenced by such treatment, indicating that this protein is located within the epididymal cells. The similarity between complex I and the cytoplasmic DHT-receptor complexes in the ventral prostate also suggests that complex I represents the cytoplasmic receptors for DHT in the epididymis.  相似文献

S100-annexin complexes: some insights from structural studies   总被引:7,自引:0,他引:7
Several annexins have been shown to bind proteins that belong to the S100 calcium-binding protein family. The two best-characterized complexes are annexin II with p11 and annexin I with S100C, the former of which has been implicated in membrane fusion processes. We have solved the crystal structures of the complexes of p11 with annexin II N-terminus and of S100C with annexin I N-terminus. Using these structural results, as well as electron microscopy observations of liposome junctions formed in the presence of such complexes (Lambert et al., 1997 J Mol Biol 272, 42-55), we propose a computer generated model for the entire annexin II/p11 complex.  相似文献

Complexes of the type [M(apash)Cl] and [M(Hapash)(H2O)SO4], where M = Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II); Hapash = acetone p-amino acetophenone salicyloyl hydrazone have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, molar conductance, magnetic moments, electronic, ESR and IR spectra, thermal studies (TGA & DTA) and X-ray diffraction studies. The ligand coordinates through two >C=N and a deprotonated enolate group in all the chloro complexes, whereas through two >C=N- and a >C=O group in all the sulfato complexes. The electronic spectra suggest a square planar geometry for Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) chloride complexes and an octahedral geometry for the sulfate complexes. ESR data show an isotropic symmetry for [Cu(apash)Cl] and [Cu(Hapash)(H2O)SO4] in solid state. However, ESR spectra of both Cu(II) complexes indicate the presence of unpaired electron in d x2-y2. The X-ray diffraction parameters for [Co(apash)Cl] and [Cu(Hapash)(H2O)SO4] complexes correspond to a tetragonal and an orthorhombic crystal lattices, respectively. Thermal studies of [Co(apash)Cl] complex shows a multi-step decomposition pattern. Most of the complexes show better antifungal activity than the standard miconazole against a number of pathogenic fungi. The antibacterial activity of these complexes has been evaluated against E. coli and Clostridium sp. which shows a moderate activity.  相似文献

In the deoxyribonucleoprotein complex of Methanosarcina sp. CHTI 55, DNA is associated with two proteins, named MC1 (methanogen chromosomal protein 1) (Mr 10,760) and MC2 (Mr 17,000). Protein MC1, the most abundant of these proteins, is closely related to the Methanosarcina barkeri MS protein MC1. The effect of Methanosarcina sp. CHTI 55 protein MC1 on the thermal stability of DNA has been studied in native deoxyribonucleoprotein complex, as well as in reconstituted complexes, and it has been compared to the effect of E. coli DNA-binding protein II. Both proteins are able to protect DNA against thermal denaturation, but the differences observed in the melting profiles suggest that they interact by different mechanisms. Moreover, our studies indicate that one molecule of protein MC1 protects eight base pairs of DNA.  相似文献

A series of copper(II) and zinc(II) complexes involving a tridentate O,N,O'-donor Schiff base derived from salicylaldehyde and beta-alanine {i.e. N-salicylidene-beta-alanine(2-), (L)}, having the composition [Cu(2)(L)(2)(H(2)O)].H(2)O (1), [Cu(L)(H(2)O)](n) (2), and [Zn(L)(H(2)O)](n) (3), have been prepared and characterized by elemental analyses, UV-visible (UV-VIS), FT-IR and ESI-MS spectra, and thermal analyses. Complexes 1 and 2 have been investigated by single crystal X-ray analysis and also by temperature dependent magnetic susceptibility measurements (294-80K). All prepared complexes have been evaluated by the antiperoxynitrite activity assay and alloxan-induced diabetes model. The significant antioxidant and antidiabetic activities have been found in the case of both copper(II) complexes 1 and 2. In spite of first two complexes, the zinc(II) complex 3, as well as the potassium salt of the ligand (KHL) showed only insignificant protective effect against the tyrosine nitration in vitro.  相似文献

An interesting series of new platinum complexes has been synthesized by the reaction of Na(2)PtCl(4) with 2-acetyl pyridine thiosemicarbazone, HAcTsc. The new complexes, [Pt(AcTsc)Cl], [Pt(HAcTsc)(2)]Cl(2) and [Pt(AcTsc)(2)], have been characterized by elemental analyses and spectroscopic studies. The crystal structure of the complex [Pt(AcTsc)Cl] has been solved by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The anion of HAcTsc coordinates in a planar conformation to the central platinum(II) through the pyridyl N, azomethine N and thiolato S atoms. Double intermolecular hydrogen bonds (NH-Cl), pi-pi and weak Pt-Pt and Pt-pi contacts lead to aggregation and to a two-dimensional supramolecular assembly. The antibacterial and antifungal effect of the novel platinum(II) complexes and the related palladium(II) complexes, [Pd(AcTsc)Cl], [Pd(HAcTsc)(2)]Cl(2) and [Pd(AcTsc)(2)], were studied in vitro. The complexes were found to have a completely lethal effect on Gram+ bacteria, while the same complexes showed no bactericidal effect on Gram- bacteria. Additionally, the complexes [Pt(AcTsc)(2)] and [Pd(AcTsc)(2)] showed effective antifungal activity towards yeast. Among these compounds [33], the most effective in inducing antitumour and cytogenetic effects are the complexes [Pt(AcTsc)(2)] and [Pd(AcTsc)(2)] while the rest, display marginal cytogenetic and antitumour effects.  相似文献

Copper(II) complexes supported by bulky tridentate ligands L1H (N,N-bis(2-quinolylmethyl)-2-phenylethylamine) and L1Ph (N,N-bis(2-quinolylmethyl)-2,2-diphenylethylamine) have been prepared and their crystal structures as well as some physicochemical properties have been explored. Each complex exhibits a square pyramidal structure containing a coordinated solvent molecule at an equatorial position and a weakly coordinated counter anion (or water) at an axial position. The copper(II) complexes reacted readily with H2O2 at a low temperature to give mononuclear hydroperoxo copper(II) complexes. Kinetics and DFT studies have suggested that, in the initial stage of the reaction, deprotonated hydrogen peroxide attacks the cupric ion, presumably at the axial position, to give a hydroperoxo copper(II) complex retaining the coordinated solvent molecule (H R ·S). H R ·S then loses the solvent to give a tetragonal copper(II)-hydroperoxo complex (H R ), in which the –OOH group may occupy an equatorial position. The copper(II)–hydroperoxo complex H R exhibits a relatively high O–O bond stretching vibration at 900 cm−1 compared to other previously reported examples.Electronic Supplementary Material Supplementary material is available for this article at  相似文献

Chelating potential of N,2'-DPAHA with 3d metal ions such as Cu(II), Ni(II), Zn(II), and Cd(II) in the presence of Gly and Phen has been investigated. These experiments were designed to study the role of the stability of mixed-ligand complexes in the modulation of its fungicidal potential. The mixed-ligand complexes were found to be more stable than binary complexes. Enhanced stability of mixed-ligand complexes of Ni(II), Co(II), Zn(II), and Cd(II) is presumably due to pi-bonding effects. In the stabilization of the Cu(II) mixed-ligand complex system, the Jahn-Tellar effect may play a vital role, in addition to pi-bonding effects. Fungicidal activity of N,2'-DPAHA and its binary complexes with Cu(II), Ni(II), and Co(II) was examined against Fusarium oxysporum using the inhibition zone technique. Binary complexes of Zn(II) and Cd(II) with N,2'-DPAHA and mixed-ligand complexes M(II)-Gly or Phen-N,2'-DPAHA, where M(II) = Cu(II), Ni(II), Zn(II), Co(II), and Cd(II) were screened against Alternaria alternata by slide germination technique. All mixed-ligand complexes exhibited fungicidal activity but did not improve significantly compared to binary complexes. Synergistic action of primary and secondary ligands has increased the stability of the mixed-ligand complex compared to the binary complex (1:1) of the secondary ligand (N,2'-DPAHA), and the fungicidal potential of the mixed-ligand complex involving N,2'-DPAHA as secondary ligand was not increased.  相似文献

Two novel Cd(II) and Zn(II) complexes with the condensation product of 2-formylpyridine and selenosemicarbazide were synthesized. The structure of Cd(II) complex was determined by X-ray crystallography. The ligand is coordinated in a neutral form via pyridine and azomethine nitrogen atoms and the selenium donor. The cadmium ion completes its five-coordination by two chloride ligands, forming a square-pyramidal geometry. The structure of Zn(II) complex was established by analysis of spectroscopic data, which indicated coordination of the ligand as a bidentate via the selenium and the azomethine nitrogen atoms. The cytotoxic activity of the newly synthesized complexes, as well as if five structurally related complexes and the ligand evaluated against eight tumor cell lines. The new Cd(II) complex showed the highest activity similar to cisplatin with IC50 less than 10 μM for all cell lines. Cell cycle distribution and apoptosis study showed that Cd(II) complex and cisplatin might have some similarity in anticancer activity, which was not the case for cisplatin and other studied complexes. Effects of the complexes on matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) MMP-9 and MMP-2 was also studied. Cd(II) and Zn(II) complexes and cisplatin increased MMP-2 activity in supernatants of tested cells, while Ni(II) complex with the same ligand decreased the activity, implying a possible activity in preventing tumor invasion and metastasis processes.  相似文献

Four dipeptide complexes of the type [PtX(2)(dipeptide)] x H(2)O (X=Cl, I, dipeptide=l-methionylglycine, l-methionyl-l-leucine) were prepared. The complexes were characterized by (1)H, (13)C, (195)Pt NMR and infrared spectroscopy, DTG and elemental analysis. From the infrared, (1)H and (13)C NMR spectroscopy it was concluded that dipeptides coordinate bidentately via sulfur and amine nitrogen donor atoms. Confirmed with (13)C and (195)Pt NMR spectroscopy, each of the complexes exists in two diastereoisomeric forms, which are related by inversion of configuration at the sulfur atom. The (1)H NMR spectrum for the platinum(II) complex with l-methionylglycine and chloro ligands exhibited reversible, intramolecular inversion of configuration at the S atom; DeltaG( not equal)=72 kJ mol(-1) at coalescence temperature 349 K was calculated. In vitro cytotoxicity studies using the human tumor cell lines liposarcoma, lung carcinoma A549 and melanoma 518A2 revealed considerable activity of the platinum(II) complex with l-methionylglycine and chloro ligands. Further in vitro cytotoxic evaluation using human testicular germ cell tumor cell lines 1411HP and H12.1 and colon carcinoma cell line DLD-1 showed moderate cytotoxic activity for all platinum(II) complexes only in the cisplatin-sensitive cell line H12.1. Platinum uptake studies using atomic absorption spectroscopy indicated no relationship between uptake and activity. Potential antitumoral activity of this class of platinum(II) complexes is dependent on the kind of ligands as well as on tumor cell type.  相似文献

The bleomycin-iron complexes with CO, NO, C2H5NC, OH-, N-3, CN-, and CH3NH2 were characterized by electronic, ESR, 1H-NMR, and M?ssbauer spectroscopies and the findings were compared with the corresponding hemoprotein complexes. The 1H-NMR and M?ssbauer features for the CO and C2H5NC adducts of the bleomycin-Fe(II) complex are consistent with an S = 0 ferrous assignment. The OH-, CH3NH2, and N-3 adducts of the bleomycin-Fe(III) complex show the ESR, 1H-NMR, and M?ssbauer spectra typical of a low-spin Fe(III). The unique M?ssbauer parameters of the bleomycin-Fe(II)-NO complex demonstrate mixing between the NO pi- and the Fe 3d-orbitals. The magnitude of the proton chemical shifts over +/- 50 ppm indicates a high-spin ferric type for the bleomycin-Fe(III)-CN complex. The M?ssbauer parameters (delta EQ = 0.89 and delta = 0.48 mm/s) of the CN- adduct differ substantially from those of typical low-spin hemoprotein-cyanide complexes. Except for the CN- adduct, the M?ssbauer and crystal field parameters of these bleomycin-iron complexes are similar to those of the corresponding hemoprotein complexes.  相似文献

1,3-dithia-2-stannacyclopentane derivatives with dialkyldithiocarbamates of the types SCH(2)CH(2)SSn[S(2)CNR(2)]Cl (I) and SCH(2)CH(2)SSn[S(2)CNR(2)](2) (II) (where R = CH(3), C(2)H(5) and -CH(2)-CH(2)-) have been synthesized by the reaction of 2,2-dichloro-1,3-dithia-2-stannacyclopentane and sodium/ammonium salts of dialkyldithiocarbamates in 1:1 and 1:2 molar ratios, respectively, in anhydrous benzene. These newly synthesized derivatives have been characterized by elemental analyses (C, H, N, S and Sn), thermal [thermogravimetry (TG) and differential thermal analyses (DTA)] as well as spectral [UV, IR and multinuclear NMR ((1)H, (13)C and (119)Sn)] studies. The monodentate behaviour of the dialkyldithiocarbamate ligands was confirmed by IR and (119)Sn NMR spectral data and distorted tetrahedral structures have been suggested for both type (I) and (II) compounds. The free ligands and their tin complexes have also been screened for their antibacterial and antifungal activities. These results made it desirable to delineate a comparison between free ligands and their tin complexes. These exhibit higher antibacterial effect than some of the previously investigated antibiotics.  相似文献

The copper(II) complexes of two new diastereomeric ligands, N2-(R)- and N2-(S)-2′-hydroxypropyl-(S)-phenylalaninamide [(R, S)-1 and (S, S)-1], have been used as additives to the eluent in high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) reversed phase for the chiral separation of DNS-amino acids. The aim was that of comparing the separation process obtained by the chiral eluent with that obtained by an analogous bonded stationary phase containing (S)-phenylalaninamide, previously studied [CSP-(S)-Phe-NH2]. The affinity of the ternary complexes for the C18 column was determined by adsorption experiments in HPLC. It was shown that the two systems (chiral eluent, chiral stationary phase) work according to different mechanisms. Ternary complex formation in solution was studied by fluorescence spectroscopy. It was shown that chiral separation with the Cu(II) complexes added to the eluent was determined by the relative affinities of the ternary complexes for the column-stationary phase rather than by their stabilities in solution. With CSP-(S)-Phe-NH2 the separation is accounted for by the relative stabilities of the ternary complexes, which depends mainly on the “allowed” geometry of the complex and on the steric repulsion of the amino acid side chain with the spacer. © 1996 Wiley-Liss, Inc.  相似文献

A new polypyridyl ligand MPPIP {MPPIP=2-(3'-phenoxyphenyl)imidazo[4,5-f]-[1,10]phenanthroline} and its ruthenium(II) complexes, [Ru(bpy)(2)MPPIP](2+) (1) (bpy=2,2'-bipyridine) and [Ru(phen)(2)MPPIP](2+) (2) (phen=1,10-phenanthroline) have been synthesized and characterized. The binding of the two complexes to calf thymus DNA (CT-DNA) has been investigated with spectrophotometric methods, viscosity measurements, as well as equilibrium dialysis and circular dichroism spectroscopy. The results suggest that both complexes bind to CT-DNA through intercalation, and enantioselectively interact with CT-DNA in a way. However, complex 2 is a much better candidate as an enantioselective binder to CT-DNA than complex 1. When irradiated at 365nm, both complexes have also been found to promote the photocleavage of plasmid pBR322 DNA.  相似文献
