青藏高原及其毗邻地区拟步甲共7亚科47族268属1950种(亚种),以拟步甲亚科Tenebrioninae(842种)为最多,然后依次为伪叶甲亚科Lagriinae(377种)、漠甲亚科Pimeliinae(372种)、树甲亚科Stenochiinae(143种)、菌甲亚科Diaperinae(139种)、朽木甲亚科Alleculinae(76种)和弗甲亚科Phrenapatinae(1种)。青藏高原及其毗邻地区拟步甲的区系组成突出中日界成分(54.10%),其与世界其他动物地理区系的关系以东洋界+中日界共有成分最多(17.16%),其次为古北界+撒哈拉-阿拉伯界(10.82%)。青藏高原拟步甲突出青藏区成分(62.33%),与西南区关系最直接(19.14%),蒙新区次之(7.12%)。基于青藏高原及其毗邻地区拟步甲的区系特点,讨论了其作为一个独立的动物地理区的可能性。  相似文献

The rates of growth, cell size, elemental and biochemical composition ofDunaliella primolecta were monitored during exponential growth after conditioning over three weeks in media containing different concentrations of nitrogen. The rate of growth, measured both as cell density and cell volume, was correlated positively with the N concentration of the medium (P<0.01). N-starved cells did not grow and died within three days. Cell volume and dry weight per cell were significantly higher (P<0.01) in the N-low (0.45 g-at 1–1 NO3-N) condition than in the N-high I condition (3.53 g-at 1–1 NO3-N). In the N-high II condition the addition of 1.87 g-at 1–1 NH4-N to 3.53 g-at 1–1 NO3-N did not significantly enhance growth.The composition was influenced by the availability of nitrogen. The amount of protein per cell decreased significantly from 20.1 to 9.7 pg with reduced nitrate availability between the N-high condition and the N-low condition (P<0.01). The associated carbohydrate content increased significantly from 10.6 to 26.74 pg per cell (P<0.001). These findings confirm the potential for significant variability in the composition ofD. primolecta, both in the natural environment and following experimental manipulation.  相似文献

The lipid composition of different muscular areas (dorsal, ventral, subcutaneous, periosteum) and organs (liver, gall bladder, testes) of a gempylid fish Ruvettus pretiosus was examined. Waxes were the main lipid fraction in muscular areas, while the liver and testes were quite enriched in triglycerides and phospholipids. The importance of avian egg components in the determination of hatchling size and quality has yet to be fully evaluated. In the first experiment, 20% of the albumen and/or the yolk was removed from chicken eggs to determine the impact of each egg component on metabolism and various size measures in near-term embryos. Results show that metabolic rate, dry body mass, and internal organ mass are largely independent of egg composition. Removal of albumen resulted in a decrease in wet body mass corresponding to decreases in water content in the body and the yolk sac, and decreased tibiotarsus length. Removal of yolk resulted in no change in body mass, but decreases in both wet and dry yolk sac mass. In a second experiment, removal of 15% of either egg component led to reductions in hatchling mass similar to those observed in whole near-term embryos. Albumen, as the primary source of water in the egg, is the primary determinant of hatchling size and may influence hatchling success through size-related limiting factors. Differences in yolk content may influence neonatal quality as a nutritional supplement, but seem not to result in greater tissue formation during embryonic development. Atlantic salmon ( Salmo salar ) raised under production conditions were sampled periodically during their life cycle, in fresh and salt water, to determine their proximate and elemental composition. The parameters changed in relation to life cycle stage and fish size, and were influenced by whether the fish were in salt or freshwater. Measurements presented can be used to assist in the formulation of feeds, and to determine the health and nutritional status of commercially reared Atlantic salmon.  相似文献

A total of 48 sub-adult hares and adult reproducing farmed hares were used to characterize carcass and meat traits according to the age and gender of animals. With respect to carcass traits, when age increased, the carcass weight significantly increased (2022 to 3391 g; P<0.001), but dressing out percentages did not change. The dissectible fat (1.3% to 2.2%; P<0.05) and Longissimus lumborum (LL) proportions (13.5% to 14.5%; P<0.001) and muscle-to-bone ratio of hind legs (5.11 to 6.23; P<0.001) increased, whereas the hind leg proportions decreased (37.3% to 36.3%; P=0.01). As for the meat quality, the pH of hind leg (5.74 to 5.83; P<0.001) and LL (5.53 to 5.69; P<0.001) increased with age, while the L* index decreased in both cuts (42.9 to 34.4 in hind leg; 45.1 to 40.3 in LL; P<0.001). The redness index increased at the hind leg (4.07 to 5.76; P<0.001), while it decreased at LL (3.03 to 1.46; P<0.001). In the case of the hind leg, meat thawing losses decreased (1.58% to 1.02%), and shear force increased (2.97 to 4.02 kg/g). In the case of LL, thawing losses decreased (8.79% to 4.91%; P<0.001) in the adult hares compared with the sub-adult ones. Meat water and protein contents decreased in the hind leg and LL of the adult hares compared with the sub-adult ones, whereas ether extract increased in a restricted range in LL only (0.92% to 1.11%; P<0.001). In the case of the hind leg, the rate of the saturated fatty acids (SFA) decreased (41.0% to 26.7%), and the rate of the polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) increased (34.0% to 45.3%) (P<0.001). In the case of LL, SFA (38.6% to 42.9%) and monounsaturated fatty acids (19.4% to 27.2%) increased, whereas PUFA decreased (42.0% to 30.1%) when the age increased (P<0.001). Gender affected only the slaughter results and carcass traits. In conclusion, farmed hares have favourable slaughter results (high dressing percentage), carcass traits (high hind legs and loins rates), and meat nutritional value (high-protein, low-fat meat). This fact would offer additional commercial opportunities, in addition to restocking, to hare farmers.  相似文献

【目的】全面摸清常德地区典型生境中外来入侵植物的种类构成、原产地、生活型和区系组成,保护好本地区生态系统。【方法】采用标准样地法、样方法和样线法,对常德市22种生境类型和9种土地利用类型进行实地调查。【结果】常德地区共有外来入侵植物104种,隶属31科77属,其中菊科(29种)、苋科(9种)、豆科(8种)和禾本科(8种)为优势科,占物种总数的52%;种类最多的属为苋属(5种)。68种外来入侵植物来自美洲地区,占物种总数的65.4%。草本植物共97种,占物种总数的93.3%。植物区系分析结果显示,常德地区外来入侵植物科的主要分布类型为世界广布、泛热带分布、热带亚洲和热带美洲间断;属的主要分布类型为世界广布和泛热带分布。【结论】常德地区外来入侵植物种类不断增多,应该与地理位置以及近些年来经济发展有关,相关职能部门应该引起高度重视,并及时采取有效的防控措施。  相似文献

We analyzed the meat composition of ten females and seven males of sexually mature European beavers (Castor fiber L.). Cutting yield, percentage of particular elements, and chemical composition of the meat were determined. On average, a beaver carcass constitutes 48.6% of beaver body mass and contains 62.8% of meat, 14.5% of fat and 22.4% of bones. The thigh was found to be the largest and most valuable element constituting 33.4% of carcass weight and containing 66.7% of meat. Beaver meat has a high concentration of protein (20.9–21.8% wet wt.) and minerals (1.27–1.31%). The fat was characterized by a high proportion of polyunsaturated fatty acids (48.0–53.1%).  相似文献

The symbiotic N2-fixing α-proteobacterium Sinorhizobium meliloti has three replicons: a circular chromosome (3.7 Mb) and two smaller replicons, pSymA (1.4 Mb) and pSymB (1.7 Mb). Sequence analysis has revealed that an essential gene is carried on pSymB, which brings into question whether pSymB should be considered a chromosome or a plasmid. Based on the criterion that essential genes define a chromosome, several species have been shown to have multiple chromosomes. Many of these species are part of the α subdivision of the Proteobacteria family. Here, additional justification is presented for designating the pSymB replicon as a chromosome. It is shown that chromosomes within a species share a more similar dinucleotide composition, or genome signature, than plasmids do with the host chromosome(s). Dinucleotide signatures were determined for each of the S. meliloti replicons, and, consistent with the suggestion that pSymB is a chromosome, it is shown that the pSymB signature more closely resembles that of the S. meliloti chromosome, while the pSymA signature is typical of other α-proteobacterial plasmids. A total of 36 mink dams and their litters of 3, 6 or 9 kits were used for determination of milk intake of the suckling young by means of deuterium dilution technique, and chemical composition of milk and of kit bodies. Measurements were performed during lactation weeks 1?–?4, each week with 3 dams with each litter size. Milk intake was determined over a 48?h measurement period, and by the end of this milk samples were collected and 2 kits (litters of 6 and 9) or 1 kit per litter (litters of 3) were killed for body chemical composition. Based on the results, different models were applied for calculation of the energetic efficiency of milk. Dam milk yield increased steadily from week 1 until week 3 but only slightly from week 3 to 4. The increase declined with increasing litter size, and for dams suckling 9 kits the increment from week 3 to week 4 was only 2?g. The dry matter content of milk increased significantly as lactation progressed, being reflected in crude protein increasing from 6.9% in lactation week 1 to 8.1% in week 4. Milk fat increased concomitantly from 5.6% to 8.0%. In kit bodies, crude protein content increased from 9.4% in week 1 to about 12% in weeks 3 and 4. Body fat content increased from week 1 (4.1%) to week 3 (8.4%) and then declined in week 4 (7.1%). Animals suckled in litters of 3 kits had the highest milk intake and live weight and kits suckled in litters of 9 had the lowest milk intake, live weight and daily gain. In terms of milk intake per g gain kits in litters of 6 were the most efficient, with 4.1?g milk per g body gain. The metabolizable energy requirement for maintenance (MEm) was estimated to 448 kJ/kg0.75 and the efficiency of utilization of ME for body gain (kg) to 0.67, the estimates being higher (MEm) or in good agreement with previous findings (kg) in suckling mink kits.  相似文献

Erythrocytes prepared from riboflavin- and tocopherol-deficient (RT?) and from control rats were used to investigate the mechanism of oxidative hemolysis by the factors of favism. RT? erythrocytes have a defense system against the oxidative stress which is blocked either where regeneration of GSH occurs or the scavenging of the radicals from the membrane is prevented. The oxidative factors used were isouramil, divicine and diamide. When RT? erythrocytes were treated with isouramil, GSH decreased to undetectable levels and was not regenerated. Complete hemolysis occurred, but no oxidation of SH groups of membrane proteins or formation of spectrin polymers was detected. A similar effect was observed with diamide. However, SH groups of membrane proteins were completely oxidized and spectrin polymers were formed. Extensive lipid peroxidation was also detected together with a 30% fall in the arachidonic acid level. Control erythrocytes treated with either isouramil or diamide were not hemolyzed. When treated with isouramil, after a fall in the first few minutes, the GSH level was completely regenerated after 20 min. Incubation with diamide caused extensive oxidation of SH groups of membrane proteins and formation of spectrin polymers. No lipid peroxidation was detected after treatment with isouramil, but the same decrease of arachidonic acid occurred as in RT? erythrocytes. These results support the hypothesis that oxidative hemolysis by the factors of favism is caused by uncontrolled peroxidation of membrane lipids.  相似文献

Acyl lipids and their constituent fatty acids were studied in leaves, chloroplasts and bundle-sheath strands of the C4 plant Amaranthus paniculatus L. grown under normal and 4%-oxygen-containing atmospheres. In all fractions the major lipids were found to be monogalactosyldiacylglycerol, digalactosyldiacylglycerol, sulphoquinovo-syldiacylglycerol and phosphatidylglycerol. Significant quantities of phosphatidylcholine and phosphatidylethanolamine were restricted to leaves and bundle-sheath strands. All lipids, except phosphatidylglycerol where 3-trans-hexadecenoic acid was also present, contained palmitic acid, stearic acid, oleic acid, linoleic acid and linolenic acid. On a chlorophyll basis and compared with whole leaves, the amounts of phosphatidylcholine and phosphatidylethanolamine in bundle-sheath strands were considerably reduced. Three weeks after the change from a normal to a 4% atmospheric O2 level, the galactolipid content, particularly in the bundlesheath strands, was enhanced. The influence of salinity on the growth, gross chemical composition and fatty acid composition of three species of marine microalgae,Isochrysis sp.,Nannochloropsis oculata andNitzschia (frustulum), was investigated. There was no significant change in growth rate ofIsochrysis sp. andN. (frustulum) over the experimental range of salinity (10–35 ppt), whileN. oculata had a significantly slower growth rate only at 35 ppt. The ash content of all three species increased with increasing salinity. Two species,Isochrysis sp. andN. oculata, showed significant linear increases in total lipid content with increasing salinity over the range 10 to 35 ppt.N. (frustulum) showed significant linear decrease in total lipids, with the highest percentage at low salinity within the range 10–15 ppt. Variation in salinity had only a slight effect on the total protein, the soluble carbohydrate and chlorophylla content of all species. All species responded to change in salinity by modifying their cellular fatty acid compositions. Significant positive correlations were observed between increase in salinity and increase in the percentage ofcis-9-hexadecenoic acid [16:1 (n-7)] over the entire experimental range inN. (frustulum) and between 25–35 ppt inN. oculata. There were curved relationships between salinity and percentage of hexadecanoic acid [16:0] inN. oculata andN. (frustulum), with maxima within the range 25–30 ppt for both species. A curved relationship was found between salinity and percentage of eicosapentaenoic acid [20–5(n-3)], forN. (frustulum), with lowest percentages of the fatty acid within the range 25–30 ppt. There was no consistent pattern in the percentages of other major fatty acids as functions of salinity. The Northern Territory isolateN. (frustulum) was unusual in having a substantial increase in total fatty acids with decreasing salinity (85 mg g–1 dry wt at 10 ppt compared with 33 mg g–1 at 35 ppt). We studied the vertical distribution of Lepidoptera from a canopy walkway within a dipterocarp rain forest at Kinabalu Park (Borneo) using three different methods: (1) Bait traps to survey fruit-feeding nymphalid butterflies, (2) standardized counts for predominantly flower-visiting butterflies and their potential predators, aerial-hawking birds, and (3) attraction by blacklight for hawk- and tiger moths. There was a distinct decrease in the abundance of fruit-feeding nymphalids towards the canopy, probably due to a reduced and less predictable availability of rotting fruits in higher strata. These constraints might also be responsible for a higher abundance variation in the canopy, and a significant shift in size from larger species in the understorey to smaller ones in the canopy. Changes of microclimate and the conspicuous increase of insectivorous aerial-hawking birds from ground to canopy layer may be responsible for the prominent change in species composition of fruit-feeding nymphalids between 20 and 30 m. Nectar-feeding Lepidoptera showed a reversed abundance pattern. One main factor contributing to the much higher abundance of flower-visiting butterflies and moth taxa in the canopy, such as Sphingidae and some Arctiinae, might be the increase of nectar resources available in upper vegetation layers. A distinctly higher diversity in hawkmoths was also found in the canopy. A higher abundance of insectivorous aerial-hawking birds in the canopy might contribute to the shift in body design of fruit-feeding nymphalids from more slender bodies at lower vegetation layers to stouter ones (i.e. species which are stronger on the wing) in the canopy. Larval resources could play an additional role in specialisation on but a small part of the vertical gradient. This may explain stratification pattern of the nymphalid subfamilies Morphinae and Satyrinae. Monocotyledoneous larval food plants of both taxa, whose flight activity is largely restricted to the understorey, occur mostly in lower vegetation layers. Our observations on a wide taxonomic and ecological range of butterflies and moths indicate that tropical forest canopies hold a distinct and unique Lepidoptera fauna, whose species richness and abundance patterns differ from lower strata. However, the notion of tropical forest canopies as peaks of terrestrial diversity does not hold uniformly for all taxa or guilds.  相似文献

Afforestation is one of many different ways to reclaim cutover peatland areas. Among the treatments often required to obtain successful afforestation are supplementary drainage, fertilization and rotovation. This study presents the effects of drainage and wood-ash fertilization on the chemical composition of water in a cutover peatland area, which constitutes 34 hectares of a minerotrophic mire in SW Sweden. Fourteen hectares of the cutover peatland was amended with 23 tonnes of wood ash, 0.4 tonnes of raw phosphate and 0.25 tonnes of superphosphate per hectare, while different doses of a PK-fertilizer were applied on the remaining 20 hectares. The chemical properties of groundwater and stream water in the wood-ash amended area were compared with those in the PK-fertilized area and a control area. Outflowing groundwater emanating from the mineral subsoil affected the chemical composition of peat groundwater and streamwater. Drainage changed chemical composition more than the wood ash fertilization. Drainage led to increases in SO4 and decreases in alkalinity in both peat groundwater and in stream water. The pH decreased in peat groundwater, whereas the streamwater pH was not affected because the high alkalinity in the mineral soil groundwater buffered the acid peat groundwater. Fertilization increased contents of K, Ca and Mn in both peat groundwater and stream water. Contents of B, o-P and Tot-P increased in peat groundwater but not in stream water, whereas the reverse was true for Mg. The outflow of P did not increase in spite of the large amount of P applied. The high retention of P was caused by large quantities of sesquioxides, especially Fe-oxides in the peat.  相似文献
