本文研究了凤眼莲、芦苇、蒲草、杏菜、黑藻等高等水生植物对含砷、汞、镉污水的监测作用和净化能力以及温度、pH值等因子对植物的影响。初步认为凤眼莲是含砷污水的监测植物,同时又是含砷、汞,镉污水的净化植物。芦苇,蒲草是抗污能力较强的植物,并能吸收积累污水中的砷、汞、镉。水生植物对砷、汞、镉的忍耐力大小是因其植物生活型不同而异,一般为挺水植物>飘浮、浮叶植物>沉水植物。积累量为沉水植物>飘浮、浮叶植物>挺水植物。植物对重金属元素的吸收积累受温度和pH值等生态因子的制约。  相似文献

香蒲属(Typha L.)为多年生水生或沼生草本植物, 种间存在十分普遍的杂交现象, 其中一些杂种在湿地生态系统中有重要的作用。在查阅大量腊叶标本基础上, 结合野外居群生物学工作, 作者发现中国一新记录杂种, 即T.×glauca Godr. (T. angustifolia L.×T. latifolia L.), 并新拟“粉绿香蒲”作该杂种的中文名。对粉绿香蒲的形态特征进行了研究, 讨论了其与亲本水烛和宽叶香蒲的区别, 并给出检索表。  相似文献

Arsenic is hazardous and causes several ill effects on human beings. Phytoremediation is the use of aquatic plants for the removal of toxic pollutants from external media. In the present research work, the removal efficiency as well as the arsenic uptake capacity of duckweed Lemna minor has been studied. Arsenic concentration in water samples and plant biomass were determined by AAS. The relative growth factor of Lemna minor was determined. The duckweed had potential to remove as well as uptake arsenic from the aqueous medium. Maximum removal of more than 70% arsenic was achieved at initial concentration of 0.5 mg/l arsenic on 15th day of experimental period of 22 days. Removal percentage was found to decrease with the increase in initial concentration. From BCF value, Lemna minor was found to be a hyperaccumulator of arsenic at initial concentration of 0.5 mg/L, such that accumulation decreased with increase in initial arsenic concentration.  相似文献

北京地区人工湿地植物活力及污染物去除能力   总被引:10,自引:1,他引:10  
研究了北京地区常见9种水生植物在水平流潜流型人工湿地中的污染物去除能力和生活力.结果表明,前边湿地单元对COD、TP、TN等污染物的去除贡献大于后边湿地单元.供试植物均可在人工湿地中正常生长,稳定生长112 d后,不同植物的氮磷含量和生物量差异显著(P<0.05),多数植物氮磷含量地下部高于地上部,地下地上部生物量比(U/A)接近或大于1.植物体内的氮磷累积量为1.36~7.89 g·m-2和0.19~1.07 g·m-2.植物生物量对氮磷累积量的影响力大于氮磷含量对氮磷累积量的影响力.水生鸢尾应为北京地区首选人工湿地植物,菖蒲、香蒲和荻等次之.泽泻和芦竹在人工湿地中不能越冬成活.  相似文献

A series of investigations were conducted to evaluate the feasibility of using constructed wetlands to remove pollutants from seafood processing wastewater. Six emergent plant species; Cyperus involucratus, Canna siamensis, Heliconia spp., Hymenocallis littoralis, Typha augustifolia and Thalia deabata J. Fraser were planted in surface flow wetland. They were fed with seafood wastewater that was 50% diluted with treated seafood wastewater from an aerated lagoon. All macrophytes were found to meet satisfying treatment efficiency (standard criteria for discharged wastewater) at 5 days hydraulic retention time (HRT). While C. involucratus, T. deabata and T. augustifolia met acceptable treatment efficacy at 3 days HRT. Nutrient uptake rate of these species was observed in the range of 1.43-2.30 g Nitrogen/m(2)day and 0.17-0.29 g Phosphorus/m(2)day, respectively at 3 days HRT. The highest treatment performances were found at 5 days HRT. Average removal efficiencies were 91-99% for BOD(5), 52-90% for SS, 72-92% for TN and 72-77% for TP. Plant growth and nitrogen assimilation were experienced to be most satisfactory for C. involucratus, T. deabata and T. augustifolia. Lower HRTs affected contaminant removal efficiency for all species. C. involucratus, T. deabata and T. augustifolia can remove all contaminants efficiently even at the lowest hydraulic retention time (1 day).  相似文献

The apple snail Pomacea insularum is an aquatic invasive gastropod native to South America that has the potential to cause harm to aquatic ecosystems, wetland restoration, and agriculture. To predict the potential impact of this snail on aquatic ecosystems, we tested the feeding rate of P. insularum , under laboratory nonchoice experiments, for 3 species of invasive macrophytes and 13 species of native aquatic plants that are important for wetland restoration and health. High levels of consumption were recorded for four native species ( Ceratophyllum demersum , Hymenocallis liriosme , Ruppia maritima , and Sagittaria lancifolia ) and three invasive species ( Colocasia esculenta , Alternanthera philoxeroides , and Eichhornia crassipes ). In contrast, less than 10% of the biomass of Spartina alterniflora , Scirpus californicus , Thalia dealbata , and Typha latifolia was consumed by P. insularum over the test period. The palatability of macrophytes was negatively correlated with dry matter content, making our results generalizable to all regions where this invader may be present. Based on our results, wetland restoration in areas invaded by P. insularum should focus on emergent structural species with low palatability. Apple snails should not be considered as agents of biocontrol for invasive plants; although apple snails fed on invasive plants at a high rate, their consumption of many native species was even greater.  相似文献

根据野外调查的样地资料,应用方差/均值比(扩散系数)的t检验、聚集指数、平均拥挤度、聚块性指数、Green指数和负二项分布的聚集强度等方法,研究了山西桑干河流域湿地植被优势种群的分布格局并分析格局形成的原因,并用相关分析比较了6个指数间的关系,结果表明:这些植物的分布格局皆属于聚集分布,但它们的聚集强度有差异。聚集强度最大的是沙棘和柽柳,聚集强度最小的是小车前和车前,由于它们均分布于河漫滩或者河床地势较高处,土壤水分含量较低,仅仅在洪水季节短时间有积水存在,不是典型的湿地植物。典型的水生植物泽泻、莎草、轮藻、芦苇、香蒲、慈姑,湿生植物水葱、藨草等,它们的聚集强度居中,对水分有着较强的依赖性,均分布于流水较缓的河道,或者濒临河道的积水处。此外,多年生的莎草、芦苇、香蒲、水葱、藨草等主要依靠无性繁殖扩大种群分布范围和密度,这也是它们服从聚集分布的原因之一。本研究还说明方差/均值比率法是一种较好的分析种群分布格局的方法。  相似文献

The present study assessed Zn, Cr, Cd, and Pb removal efficiency of Colocasia esculenta, Hydrilla verticillata, Phragmitis australis, Typha latifolia, and Spirodella polyrhiza from sewage-mixed industrial effluent. The fresh/dry weight and relative growth rate of each macrophyte decreased with increasing effluent concentration. H. verticillata and C. esculenta exhibited better growth at 50% effluent over control. The maximum Zn, Cd, and Pb accumulation (1008.23, 28.03, and 483.55 mg/kg dry wt., respectively) was recorded in C. esculenta, whereas Cr (114.48 mg/kg dry wt.) in H. verticillata at 100% effluent. Metal accumulation in roots of all plants species was higher (≥50%) initially with increasing effluent concentration and later transferred to shoots. All plants exhibited BCF >1.0 for all heavy metals, highest being for Zn (91.2) and Cd (75.2) in H. verticillata, for Cr (97.9) and Pb (103) in C. esculenta. Except S. polyrhhiza, all other plants exhibited TF <1.0. Maximum removal efficiency of Zn was 82.8% by H. verticillata, whilst that of Cr, Cd, and Pb by C. esculenta at 50% effluent, demonstrating wide applicability of H. verticillata and C. esculenta for treatment of mixed industrial effluent having heavy metals.  相似文献

A comparative bioaccumulation pattern and ultra structural changes were studied in Phragmites cummunis, Typha angustifolia and Cyperus esculentus in mixed metals solution of cadmium (Cd), chromium (Cr), copper (Cu), iron (Fe), manganese (Mn), nickel (Ni), lead (Pb) and zinc (Zn). P. cummunis was observed to be a shoot accumulator for Cr, Fe, Mn, Ni, Pb, and Zn. However, T. angustifolia was found to be a root accumulator for Cd, Cr, Cu, Fe, Ni and Pb. In addition, C. esculentus also accumulated most of the tested heavy metals in the roots, while Mn and Fe were translocated up to leaves. Further, the long term metal treatment showed maximum accumulation of all heavy metals in P. cummunis followed by T. angustifolia and C. esculentus. Among heavy metals, Fe was accumulated maximum, i.e., >1000 microg g(-1) by all three plants. Simultaneously, the adverse effects on biochemical parameters were noted earlier in C. esculentus than T. angustifolia and P. cummunis. Ultra structural observation showed the cellular changes in wetland plants after longer exposure. Results revealed that P. cummunis and T. angustifolia had more potential for tested metals than C. esculentus. This study established that these wetland plants could be used for heavy metals phytoremediation from metal containing industrial wastewater.  相似文献

Using epifluorescent and histochemical techniques, we examined anatomical differences in the shoot organs of Typha latifolia, T. angustifolia and T. glauca. The leaf lamina of T. latifolia and T. glauca had enlarged epidermal cells and a thickened cuticle above the subepidermal vascular bundles; that of T. angustifolia lacked these characteristics. Leaf sheaths were similar among the species and all lacked the epidermal thickenings found in the lamina. The fertile stems had typical scattered vascular bundles with a band of fibres that was most prominent in T. glauca. The sterile stems were only 1 cm in length and contained a multiseriate hypodermis and a uniseriate endodermis over part of their length. The rhizomes were similar except for a pronounced band of fibres surrounding the central core in T. angustifolia. The rhizome was also characterized by an outer cortical region with a large multiseriate hypodermis/exodermis and a uniseriate endodermis with Casparian bands, suberin lamellae and secondarily thickened walls.  相似文献

The depth distribution of the aquatic macrophyte Typha orientalis Presl was examined in comparison with two other Typha species: Typha angustifolia L. and Typha latifolia L. Vegetation surveys mapping the depth distributions were conducted at Ushigafuchi Pond, Tokyo, Japan, in autumn 2004 and 2005. All vegetation had been cleared from this artificial pond in spring 2003. In 2004 T. orientalis was distributed in shallow to deep water habitats between T. latifolia (shallow water regions) and T. angustifolia (shallow to deep water regions). However, by 2005 T. orientalis had almost disappeared from the pond. It had been replaced by Leersia japonica Makino at depths of 0–30 cm, by Schoenoplectus validus (Vahl) at depths of 30–60 cm and by T. angustifolia at depths of 60–100 cm. It appears that T. orientalis is not a strong competitor, particularly with taller species, but rather a pioneer species.  相似文献

In this study the removal of arsenic by the Water Hyacinth (Eichhornia crassipes) and Lesser Duckweed (Lemna minor) was monitored under a concentration of 0.15mgL(-1) of the element. Plant densities were 1kg/m2 for Lesser Duckweed and 4kg/m2 for Water Hyacinth on a wet basis. The arsenic was determined in foliar tissue and water samples by hydride generation atomic absorption spectroscopy. The element was monitored as a function of time during 21 days. No significant differences were found in the bioaccumulation capability of both species. The removal rate for L. minor was 140mg As/had with a removal recovery of 5%. The Water Hyacinth had a removal rate of 600mg As/had and a removal recovery of 18%, under the conditions of the assay. The removal efficiency of Water Hyacinth was higher due to the biomass production and the more favorable climatic conditions. This specie represents a reliable alternative for arsenic bioremediation in waters.  相似文献

The objective of this study is to examine the treatment performance of vertical flow intermittent feeding constructed wetland (VFCW) in removal of organic pollution, nutrients and color in azo-dye containing wastewater. The systems consisted of PVC reactors, some filling materials such as gravel, sand and zeolite and wetland plants including Typha angustifolia and Canna indica. The average treatment efficiency of the systems for COD, color, sulphate, NH4-N, and PO4-P were in the range of 57–63%, 94–99%, 44–48%, 39–44%, and 84–88%, respectively among the VFCW reactors. It is concluded that VFCW reactor system can effectively be used in the treatment of dye-rich wastewater, especially for the removal of color and in the reduction of COD. Biofilm formation and cleavage of azo bonds could be observed by SEM and FTIR results, respectively. Almost similar NH4-N and PO4-P removal were obtained in all reactors by using same amount of zeolite media.  相似文献

Certain plant species have been shown to vigorously accumulate some metals from soil, and thus represent promising and effective remediation alternatives. In order to select the optimum forms of nitrogen (N) fertilizers for the arsenic (As) hyperaccumulator, Pteris vittata L., to maximize As extraction, five forms of N were added individually to different treatments to study the effect of N forms on As uptake of the plants under soil culture in a greenhouse. Although shoot As concentration tended to decrease and As translocation from root to shoot was inhibited, overall As accumulation was greater due to higher biomass when N fertilizer was added. Arsenic accumulation in plants with N fertilization was 100-300% more than in the plants without N fertilization. There were obvious differences in plant biomass and As accumulation among the N forms, i.e., NH4HCO3, (NH4)2S04, Ca(NO3)2, KNO3, urea. The total As accumulation in the plants grown in As-supplied soil, under different forms of N fertilizer, decreased as NH4HCO3>(NH4)2S04 > urea > Ca(NO3)2 >KNO3>CK. The plants treated with N and As accumulated up to 5.3-7.97 mg As/pot and removed 3.7-5.5% As from the soils, compared to approximately 2.3% of As removal in the control. NH4+ -N was apparently more effective than other N fertilizers in stimulating As removal when soil was supplied with As at initiation. No significant differences in available As were found among different forms of N fertilizer after phytoremediation. It is concluded that NH4+ -N was the preferable fertilizer for P. vittata to maximize As removal.  相似文献

This study examined the performance of pilot-scale vertical subsurface flow constructed wetlands (VSF–CWs) planted with three indigenous plants, i.e. Typha latifolia, Cyperus alternifolius, and Cynodon dactylon, in removing heavy metals from secondary treated refinery wastewater under tropical conditions. The T. latifolia-planted VSF–CW had the best heavy metal removal performance, followed by the Cyperus alternifolius-planted VSF–CW and then the Cynodon dactylon-planted VSF–CW. The data indicated that Cu, Cr, Zn, Pb, Cd, and Fe were accumulated in the plants at all the three VSF–CWs. However, the accumulation of the heavy metals in the plants accounted for only a rather small fraction (0.09–16%) of the overall heavy metal removal by the wetlands. The plant roots accumulated the highest amount of heavy metals, followed by the leaves, and then the stem. Cr and Fe were mainly retained in the roots of T. latifolia, Cyperus alternifolius, and Cynodon dactylon (TF < 1), meaning that Cr and Fe were only partially transported to the leaves of these plants. This study showed that VSF–CWs planted with T. latifolia, Cyperus Alternifolius, and Cynodon dactylon can be used for the large-scale removal of heavy metals from secondary refinery wastewater.  相似文献

We report here on efforts to show that a combination of native wetland plant species might perform better than a monoculture in wetlands designed for arsenic remediation by supplementing weaknesses. Carex stricta and Spartina pectinata were used in hydroponic experiments. (i) Arsenic uptake was first assessed at two ages via exposure to control or arsenic-laden solutions (0 or 1.5 mg As L(-1) as Na2HAsO4) for two weeks. Age had no significant effect on arsenic concentrations in roots, but translocation factors were greater in older plants of C. stricta and S. pectinata (0.45 and 0.07, respectively) than in younger plants (0.10 and 0.01, respectively). (ii) Seasonal effects were assessed by determining uptake kinetics for both species in conditions representative of spring temperatures (15/5 degrees C) and light regimes (1050 micromol m(-2) s(-1), 13 h day(-1)) and summer temperatures (28/17 degrees C) and light regimes (1300 micromol m(-2) s(-1), 15 h day(-1)). Both species had comparable rates of arsenic uptake into roots in summer conditions (44.0 and 46.5 mg As kg(-1) dry wt. h(-1) in C. stricta and S. pectinata, respectively), but C. stricta had a higher maximum net influx rate in spring conditions (24.5 versus 10.4 mg As kg(-1) dry wt. h(-1)).  相似文献

实验设计了一个水培系统,利用生活污水培养,对4种“须根型”植物美人蕉、风车草、象草和香根草和4种根茎型植物菖蒲、水鬼蕉、芦苇和水烛的根系生长进行比较研究。该系统由用于盛污水的塑料桶(顶部直径36.5cm,底部直径30.Ocm,高34.5cm)和用于固定植物于水面的泡沫板构成。每桶种植1株植物,每种种5株。水培至10周时,须根型植物的平均根数达到1349条/株,而根茎型植物的平均根数只有549条/株。实验结束(水培第21周)时,须根型植物的平均根生物量为11.3g/株,根茎型植物的平均根生物量为7.4g/株。须根型植物根系中,d〈1mm的细根生物量占根系总生物量的51.9%,而根茎型植物d〈1mm的细根的生物量只占25.1%。根茎型植物的根生物量与地上生物量的比值为0.2,显著高于须根型湿地植物(0.1)。须根型湿地植物的根系表面积(6933cm^2/株)极显著地高于根茎型湿地植物(1897cm^2/株)。根茎型湿地植物根的平均寿命(46.6d)较须根型湿地植物根的平均寿命(34.8d)长。美人蕉的平均根数达1871条/株,根表面积达到22832cm^2/株,远较其他种高。  相似文献

Summary Axillary bud expiants from South Pacific (Solomon Islands) taro, Colocasia esculenta var. esculenta cv. Akalomamale (Araceae) cultured on a modified Murashige-Skoog medium containing 1 mg NAA 1–1 and TE formed callus and produced multiple plantlets. Explants died if NAA was present at levels lower than 0.1 mg 1–1. BA was not required and may have been inhibitory. Plantlets developed faster and became larger following transfer to a hormone-free medium two weeks after the start of culture. 以江西铅山红芽芋(Colocasia esculenta L.Schott var.cormosus‘Hongyayu’)试管苗为材料,建立了芋球茎片两步法离体快繁体系,并对其再生苗的形态指标、染色体数目、生理和光合特性以及叶绿素荧光特性进行了检测。结果表明:(1)红芽芋球茎片单芽诱导的最佳培养基为MS+KT 2 mg/L+6-BA 1 mg/L+NAA0.1mg/L,诱导培养30d后将单芽从球茎片上分离,再接种到生根培养基(MS+KT 2mg/L+NAA 0.1mg/L)上培养30d即可形成完整植株,移栽成活率高达98%;(2)由球茎片单芽、丛生芽、不定芽离体快繁获得的红芽芋再生苗在形态指标、叶下表皮气孔参数、染色体数目、生理生化指标以及叶片光合特性参数和叶绿素荧光特性方面均无显著差异。说明红芽芋球茎片两步法离体培养的再生苗繁殖系数高、染色体数目稳定,该离体快繁体系可应用于江西铅山红芽芋的工厂化生产。  相似文献

Arsenic resistance and removal by marine and non-marine bacteria   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2  
Arsenic resistance and removal was evaluated in nine bacterial strains of marine and non-marine origins. Of the strains tested, Marinomonas communis exhibited the second-highest arsenic resistance with median effective concentration (EC(50)) value of 510 mg As l(-1), and was capable of removing arsenic from culture medium amended with arsenate. Arsenic accumulation in cells amounted to 2290 microg As g(-1) (dry weight) when incubated on medium containing 5 mg As l(-1) of arsenate. More than half of the arsenic removed was related to metabolic activity: 45% of the arsenic was incorporated into the cytosol fraction and 10% was found in the lipid-bound fraction of the membrane, with the remaining arsenic considered to be adsorbed onto the cell surface. Potential arsenic resistance and removal were also examined in six marine and non-marine environmental water samples. Of the total bacterial colony counts, 28-100% of bacteria showed arsenic resistance. Some of the bacterial consortia, especially those from seawater enriched with arsenate, exhibited higher accumulated levels of arsenic than M. communis under the same condition. These results showed that arsenic resistant and/or accumulating bacteria are widespread in the aquatic environment, and that arsenic-accumulating bacteria such as M. communis are potential candidates for bioremediation of arsenic contaminated water.  相似文献
