In order to investigate T cell-B cell interactions we constructed monoclonal, antigen-specific T- and B-cell populations. The Ia+ B-cell lymphoma A20-2J was transfected with trinitrophenyl (TNP)-specific heavy (mu) and light (kappa) chain Ig genes. A hapten-carrier complex (TNP-keyhole limpet hemocyanin (KLH)) bound to the surface Ig expressed on the transfectant and was presented to carrier-specific T-cell hybridoma clones at markedly low doses of antigen (0.01 microgram/ml) and in an Ia-restricted fashion. Two responses were elicited in the responding T-cell clones: (i) high levels of IL-2 secretion (320 units/ml), and (ii) cytotoxicity directed against the antigen-presenting B cell. This cytotoxicity was inhibited by D-mannose and was directed against innocent bystander cells, unlike cytotoxicity mediated by NK cells or alloreactive cytotoxic T lymphocyte. Helper and cytotoxic functions were often present in different T-cell hybridomas but some clones exhibited both activities. One representative T-cell hybridoma exhibited strong helper function for TNP-primed splenic B cells as detected in a plaque-forming cell assay, but was cytotoxic toward antigen-presenting B cells. Such monoclonal assay systems for studying cognate interactions of heterogeneous T cells and specific antigen-presenting cells will provide us with valuable new approaches for the study of antigen-specific T-cell regulation of B-cell activation in immune responses.  相似文献

Interleukin-10 (IL-10), produced by Th2 helper T cells, B cells, and macrophages, can inhibit cytokine production by Th1 cells and enhance B-cell proliferation and differentiation. Here, we show that peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) from bovine leukemia virus-infected animals with late-stage disease express considerably more IL-10 mRNA than animals that are not infected or that are in the early stages of disease. In contrast, the quantities of type 1 cytokines, IL-2 and gamma interferon, decrease with disease progression. In addition, we observed that IL-10 is expressed principally by monocytes/macrophages, not B lymphocytes, in persistently lymphocytotic animals. This observation supports a role for monocytes/macrophages in progression of bovine leukemia virus infection and, of importance, indicates that proliferating B cells are not the source of IL-10 expression. These findings suggest that IL-10 produced by monocytes/macrophages may influence the progression of bovine leukosis in animals that develop persistent lymphocytosis of B cells or B-cell lymphosarcoma.  相似文献

The lifelong persistence of lymphocytic choriomeningitis virus (LCMV) in neonatally or congenitally infected mice is accompanied by a suppression of virus-specific T-cell responses. In this study, we identified the subset of T cells infected with LCMV during persistent infection in vivo. Using specific monoclonal antibodies to separate the different lymphocyte cell populations and employing both an infectious center assay and immunofluorescence to detect the virus, we found that infection is confined primarily to T cells of the helper subset (L3T4+ Lyt2-), with minimal involvement of cytotoxic T cells (Lyt2+ L3T4-) and mature B cells. About 0.54 to 1.1% of L3T4+ T cells were producing the virus, as determined by the infectious center assay. In contrast, 9.1 to 12.2% of these L3T4+ T cells contained viral antigen, as shown by immunofluorescence studies. This finding suggested that, at any given time, a substantial number of infected T cells were not producing infectious virus. This infection of T helper cells may be involved in the suppression of LCMV-specific T-cell responses observed in persistently infected mice.  相似文献

An enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) for the detection and quantification of reovirus-specific IgM and IgG serum antibodies in rodents, detecting reovirus group reactive antibodies, was compared with reovirus types 1, 2 or 3 specific virus neutralization (VN) assays. To this end, serum samples were collected from specific pathogen-free (SPF) BALB/c RIVM mice, after experimental infection with any of the three mammalian reovirus serotypes. The majority (seven out of twelve) of the reovirus type 1-infected and one third (two out of six) of the reovirus type 3-infected mice died within 15 days after infection, whereas all (six out of six) of the reovirus type 2-infected animals survived. Using reovirus type 2 antigen in the ELISA, reovirus-specific IgM antibodies could be demonstrated within 1 week after infection in all the mice infected with reovirus types 2 or 3 and in the majority of the mice infected with type 1. Similarly, reovirus-specific IgG could be detected within 3 weeks in all the surviving mice infected with reovirus types 2 or 3 and within 5 weeks in all surviving mice infected with reovirus type 1. These results coincided well with the data obtained in the VN assays, in which all the infected animals also could be detected within 1 week after infection. As expected, titers were detected most rapidly and to the highest levels in the homologous VN assays. Given the sensitivity and the specificity of the ELISA system demonstrated in this paper and its suitability for incorporation in automated systems, the ELISA system should be considered valuable for the routine serologic diagnosis of reovirus infections in rodents.  相似文献

To define the antigen-presenting capacity of alveolar macrophages (AM phi), their ability to activate antigen-specific T cells was determined. It was found that AM phi s are at least as potent as spleen cells at presenting alloantigen or soluble protein antigen plus I-region determinant to cloned T-cell hybridomas. Activation of those hybridomas, shown by interleukin 2 (IL-2) secretion, further indicated the presence on AM phi s of functional products of the I-A and I-E subregions. In addition, it was found that AM phi s are at least as potent as spleen cells and peritoneal macrophages at inducing, in a restricted fashion, specific proliferation of primed, propagated lymph node T cells. AM phi s are thus potent accessory cells in vitro, whose in vivo significance in this capacity remains to be defined.  相似文献

Mutant L cells, designated LR cells, were isolated after “curing” a persistently infected cell line (L/C) with antireovirus serum. The LR cells were shown to be virus-free; no reovirus was detectable by infectious center assays, plaque assays, presence of viral proteins, presence of viral dsRNA and immunofluorescence studies. Persistent infections were readily established in LR cells following infection with either cloned, low passage wild-type reovirus or cloned, low passage reovirus isolated from carrier cultures. Reovirus isolated from carrier cultures, however, grew much better than wild-type reovirus in LR cells and showed complete dominance over wild-type reovirus in coinfection experiments. Infection of LR cells with wild-type reovirus resulted in a low-level persistent infection with inefficient viral replication; these mutant L cells were partially resistant to infection with wild-type reovirus. In contrast, infection of the mutant L cells with virus isolated from the persistently infected cells resulted in a persistent infection accompanied with efficient viral replication. Infection of the original L cells with either wild-type reovirus or reovirus isolated from the persistently infected cells resulted in a lytic infection with no surviving cells. Thus the host cell plays a crucial role in the maintenance of persistent reovirus infection. Our results show that there is a coevolution of both mutant L cells and mutant reovirus during persistent infection.  相似文献

A stable clone of C57BL/6 (H-2b) radiation leukemia virus transformed ovalbumin (OVA)-specific murine T-cell lymphoma cells was able to mediate carrier-specific helper activity. The ability of these lymphoma cells to express helper activity for both primary and secondary hapten-specific B-cell responses was analyzed in nonirradiated normal or hapten-primed recipients. The lymphoma cells augmented anti-hapten responses in a carrier-specific manner; no bystander effects were noted. Helper activity was primarily noted in the IgG responses. The genetic restrictions affecting the expression of lymphoma-mediated helper activity were also analyzed. The pattern of restriction indicated that genes in the H-2 complex controlled the expression of helper activity; disparities at the Igh complex failed to influence helper activity. The cellular site of the H-2 restriction was between the antigen-presenting cells and the T-cell lymphoma not between the T and B cells. Precise intra-H-2 mapping of the gene(s) which control expression of lymphoma-mediated helper activity was attempted. Although most of the data were consistent with localization of the gene(s) to the I-A region, anomolous responses were noted in one strain.  相似文献

To determine mechanisms by which persistent viral infections are established and maintained, we initiated persistent infections of murine erythroleukemia (MEL) cells by using reovirus strains type 3 Abney and type 3 Dearing. Establishment of persistent reovirus infections of MEL cells was not associated with a significant cytopathic effect despite the presence of high titers of infectious virus in the cultures (>10(5) PFU/ml of culture lysate). Maintenance of persistently infected MEL-cell cultures was associated with coevolution of mutant viruses and cells. Mutant viruses produced greater yields than the parental wild-type (wt) strains in MEL cells cured of persistent infection and in cells treated with ammonium chloride, a weak base that blocks viral disassembly. Mutant cells supported growth of wt infectious subvirion particles, which are disassembly intermediates generated in vitro by treatment of virions with chymotrypsin, substantially better than growth of wt virions. These findings indicate that viral and cellular mutations selected during maintenance of persistently infected MEL-cell cultures affect acid-dependent proteolysis of virions during entry into cells. We also found that wt infectious subvirion particles produce greater yields than wt virions in wt MEL cells, which suggests that inefficient viral disassembly in MEL cells favors establishment of persistent infection. Therefore, steps in reovirus replication leading to viral disassembly appear to be critical determinants of the capacity of MEL cells to support both establishment and maintenance of persistent reovirus infections.  相似文献

Microglia are resident central nervous system (CNS) macrophages. Theiler's murine encephalomyelitis virus (TMEV) infection of SJL/J mice causes persistent infection of CNS microglia, leading to the development of a chronic-progressive CD4(+) T-cell-mediated autoimmune demyelinating disease. We asked if TMEV infection of microglia activates their innate immune functions and/or activates their ability to serve as antigen-presenting cells for activation of T-cell responses to virus and endogenous myelin epitopes. The results indicate that microglia lines can be persistently infected with TMEV and that infection significantly upregulates the expression of cytokines involved in innate immunity (tumor necrosis factor alpha, interleukin-6 [IL-6], IL-18, and, most importantly, type I interferons) along with upregulation of major histocompatibility complex class II, IL-12, and various costimulatory molecules (B7-1, B7-2, CD40, and ICAM-1). Most significantly, TMEV-infected microglia were able to efficiently process and present both endogenous virus epitopes and exogenous myelin epitopes to inflammatory CD4(+) Th1 cells. Thus, TMEV infection of microglia activates these cells to initiate an innate immune response which may lead to the activation of naive and memory virus- and myelin-specific adaptive immune responses within the CNS.  相似文献

The developing immune response in the lymph nodes of mice infected with influenza virus has both Th1- and Th2-type characteristics. Modulation of the interactions between antigen-presenting cells and T cells is one mechanism that may alter the quality of the immune response. We have previously shown that the ability of dendritic cells (DC) to stimulate the proliferation of alloreactive T cells is changed by influenza virus due to viral neuraminidase (NA) activity. Here we show that DC infected with influenza virus A/PR/8/34 (PR8) stimulate T cells to produce different types of cytokines in a dose-dependent manner. Optimal amounts of the Th1-type cytokines interleukin-2 (IL-2) and gamma interferon (IFN-gamma) were produced from T cells stimulated by DC infected with low doses of PR8, while the Th2-type cytokines IL-4 and IL-10 were produced only in response to DC infected with high doses of PR8. IL-2 and IFN-gamma levels corresponded with T-cell proliferation and were dependent on the activity of viral NA on the DC surface. In contrast, IL-4 secretion required the treatment of T cells with NA. Since viral particles were released only from DC that are infected with high doses of PR8, our results suggest that viral NA on newly formed virus particles desialylates T-cell surface molecules to facilitate a Th2-type response. These results suggest that the activity of NA may contribute to the mixed Th-type response observed during influenza virus infection.  相似文献

Intrathymic, Ia-bearing antigen-presenting cells (APC) are believed to play an important role in the development of a mature, functional T-cell repertoire. We used chronic in vivo treatment of neonatal mice with anti-I-A monoclonal Ab (MAb) to examine the expression of I-A and I-E antigens on intrathymic and peripheral APC. Three weeks after continuous treatment with anti-I-A MAb, FACS analysis of unfractionated spleen cells revealed a 75-90% reduction in the number of I-A bearing cells. Splenic antigen-presenting capacity measured by the ability of unseparated or density gradient-enriched APC to stimulate I-A- or I-E-reactive T-cell hybridomas was also greatly reduced. In contrast to the expression of I-A and I-E molecules in the splenic APC, anti-I-A MAb treatment resulted in decreased thymic APC I-A expression without significant changes in I-E as measured by FACS analysis. This was confirmed in functional studies in which allo-I-A- or auto-I-A-reactive T-cell hybridomas could not be stimulated by treated thymic APC. Unlike splenic APC, anti-I-A-treated thymic APC did not differ significantly from normals in their ability to stimulate allo-I-E-reactive T hybridomas. This lack of linkage or comodulation of I-A and I-E expression on thymic but not splenic APC may allow us to study the role of I-A molecules and I-E molecules on the development and expansion of functional, mature T-cell repertoires.  相似文献

Activation of CD4(+) T cells helps establish and sustain CD8(+) T cell responses and is required for the effective clearance of acute infection. CD4-deficient mice are unable to control persistent infection and CD4(+) T cells are usually defective in chronic and persistent infections. We investigated the question of how persistent infection impacted pre-existing lymphocytic choriomeningitis virus (LCMV)-specific CD4(+) T cell responses. We identified class II-restricted epitopes from the entire set of open reading frames from LCMV Armstrong in BALB/c mice (H-2(d)) acutely infected with LCMV Armstrong. Of nine epitopes identified, six were restricted by I-A(d), one by I-E(d) and two were dually restricted by both I-A(d) and I-E(d) molecules. Additional experiments revealed that CD4(+) T cell responses specific for these epitopes were not generated following infection with the immunosuppressive clone 13 strain of LCMV. Most importantly, in peptide-immunized mice, established CD4(+) T cell responses to these LCMV CD4 epitopes as well as nonviral, OVA-specific responses were actively suppressed following infection with LCMV clone 13 and were undetectable within 12 days after infection, suggesting an active inhibition of established helper responses. To address this dysfunction, we performed transfer experiments using both the Smarta and OT-II systems. OT-II cells were not detected after clone 13 infection, indicating physical deletion, while Smarta cells proliferated but were unable to produce IFN-gamma, suggesting impairment of the production of this cytokine. Thus, multiple mechanisms may be involved in the impairment of helper responses in the setting of early persistent infection.  相似文献

It is well established that trans-placental transmission of classical swine fever virus (CSFV) during mid-gestation can lead to persistently infected offspring. The aim of the present study was to evaluate the ability of CSFV to induce viral persistence upon early postnatal infection. Two litters of 10 piglets each were infected intranasally on the day of birth with low and moderate virulence CSFV isolates, respectively. During six weeks after postnatal infection, most of the piglets remained clinically healthy, despite persistent high virus titres in the serum. Importantly, these animals were unable to mount any detectable humoral and cellular immune response. At necropsy, the most prominent gross pathological lesion was a severe thymus atrophy. Four weeks after infection, PBMCs from the persistently infected seronegative piglets were unresponsive to both, specific CSFV and non-specific PHA stimulation in terms of IFN-γ-producing cells. These results suggested the development of a state of immunosuppression in these postnatally persistently infected pigs. However, IL-10 was undetectable in the sera of the persistently infected animals. Interestingly, CSFV-stimulated PBMCs from the persistently infected piglets produced IL-10. Nevertheless, despite the addition of the anti-IL-10 antibody in the PBMC culture from persistently infected piglets, the response of the IFN-γ producing cells was not restored. Therefore, other factors than IL-10 may be involved in the general suppression of the T-cell responses upon CSFV and mitogen activation. Interestingly, bone marrow immature granulocytes were increased and targeted by the virus in persistently infected piglets. Taken together, we provided the first data demonstrating the feasibility of CSFV in generating a postnatal persistent disease, which has not been shown for other members of the Pestivirus genus yet. Since serological methods are routinely used in CSFV surveillance, persistently infected pigs might go unnoticed. In addition to the epidemiological and economic significance of persistent CSFV infection, this model could be useful for understanding the mechanisms of viral persistence.  相似文献

Cytotoxic T lymphocyte (Tc) cell lines specific for reovirus type 3 lysed an uninfected B cell hybridoma line, 87.92.6, that expresses and secretes an anti-idiotypic antibody that reacts with an anti-viral hemagglutinin monoclonal antibody, 9BG5. Monoclonal anti-idiotype 87.92.6 was shown by fluorescence analysis to specifically bind to reovirus Tc and to block reovirus-specific Tc from killing reovirus-infected target cells or the 87.92.6 hybridoma. An anti-LFA-1 monoclonal antibody, M17, interfered with Tc-mediated lysis of reovirus-infected targets and the 87.92.6 cells, indicating the similarity of cellular interactions mediated by LFA-1 structures when Tc bind to virally infected targets or 87.92.6 targets. Together with studies in which anti-H2 or monoclonal idiotypic antibodies were found to interfere with reovirus-specific Tc recognition of virally infected or 87.92.6 targets, these experiments indicate that some reovirus-specific Tc have conformations in their receptor that can be recognized by anti-idiotype.  相似文献

Recombinant canarypox virus vectors containing human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) sequences are promising vaccine candidates, as they replicate poorly in human cells. However, when delivered intramuscularly the vaccines have induced inconsistent and in some cases transient antigen-specific cytotoxic T-cell (CTL) responses in seronegative volunteers. An attractive way to enhance these responses would be to target canarypox virus to professional antigen-presenting cells such as dendritic cells (DCs). We studied (i) the interaction between canarypox virus and DCs and (ii) the T-cell responses induced by DCs infected with canarypox virus vectors containing HIV-1 genes. Mature and not immature DCs resisted the cytopathic effects of canarypox virus and elicited strong effector CD8+ T-cell responses from chronically infected HIV+ individuals, e.g., cytolysis, and secretion of gamma interferon (IFN-gamma) and beta-chemokines. Furthermore, canarypox virus-infected DCs were >30-fold more efficient than monocytes and induced responses that were comparable to those induced by vaccinia virus vectors or peptides. Addition of exogenous cytokines was not necessary to elicit CD8+ effector cells, although the presence of CD4+ T cells was required for their expansion and maintenance. Most strikingly, canarypox virus-infected DCs were directly able to stimulate HIV-specific, IFN-gamma-secreting CD4 helper responses from bulk as well as purified CD4+ T cells. Therefore, these results suggest that targeting canarypox virus vectors to mature DCs could potentially elicit both anti-HIV CD8+ and CD4+ helper responses in vivo.  相似文献

Reovirus type 1 Lang (T1L) infects the mouse intestinal mucosa by adhering specifically to epithelial M cells and exploiting M-cell transport to enter the Peyer's patches. Oral inoculation of adult mice has been shown to elicit cellular and humoral immune responses that clear the infection within 10 days. This study was designed to determine whether adult mice that have cleared a primary infection are protected against viral entry upon oral rechallenge and, if so, whether antireovirus secretory immunoglobulin A (S-IgA) is a necessary component of protection. Adult BALB/c mice that were orally inoculated on day 0 with reovirus T1L produced antiviral S-IgA in feces and IgG in serum directed primarily against the reovirus sigma1 attachment protein. Eight hours after oral reovirus challenge on day 21, the Peyer's patches of previously exposed mice contained no detectable virus whereas Peyer's patches of naive controls contained up to 2,300 PFU of reovirus/mg of tissue. Orally inoculated IgA knockout (IgA(-/-)) mice cleared the initial infection as effectively as wild-type mice and produced higher levels of reovirus-specific serum IgG and secretory IgM than C57BL/6 wild-type mice. When IgA(-/-) mice were rechallenged on day 21, however, their Peyer's patches became infected. These results indicate that intestinal S-IgA is an essential component of immune protection against reovirus entry into Peyer's patch mucosa.  相似文献

The ability of splenic T-cells to regulate Friend murine leukemia virus replication in lipopolysaccharide-activated target B-cells infected in vitro was investigated. Removal of the T-cell fraction from spleen cells resulted in an 8- to 10-fold enhancement in the number of productively infected cells in the remaining B-cell-enriched fraction, as compared with unseparated spleen cells, and the addition of increasing numbers of purified T-cells to isolated B-cells prior to infection resulted in a directly proportional reduction in the number of B-cells releasing infectious progeny virus. Separation of splenic T-cells into Lyt 2- and Lyt 2+ T-cells before addition to infected B-cell cultures resulted in inhibition of infection only with the Lyt 2- T-cells; Lyt 2+ T-cells did not inhibit infection, even at high 1:1 ratios. Similarly, separation of splenic T-cells into L3T4+ and L3T4- T-cells before addition resulted in inhibition by L3T4+ but not L3T4- T-cells. Also, cytotoxic treatment of splenic T-cells with monoclonal anti-L3T4 antibody and complement before addition to B-cell cultures destroyed the regulatory effects. Finally, depletion of macrophages from both T-cells and B-cells before infection and coculture had no effect on the ability of T-cells to regulate B-cell infection. Collectively these results demonstrate that L3T4+ T-cells can inhibit Friend murine leukemia virus replication in target B-cells. Culture of isolated splenic T-cells with Friend murine leukemia virus in vitro resulted in the induction of alpha/beta but not interferon-gamma synthesis and in some experiments interferon-containing supernatants from T-cell-virus cultures were able to mediate suppression of B-cell infection with Friend helper virus; the addition of antibody specific for interferon-alpha/beta to cultures inhibited the ability of T-cells to regulate B-cell infection.  相似文献

Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV) is the most important infectious disease agent of pigs worldwide, causing reproductive failure in pregnant sows and respiratory problems in nursing and growing pigs. PRRSV infection is characterized by a prolonged viremia of 30 or more days and an extended persistent infection of lymphoid tissues. To better understand the immunological basis for prolonged acute and persistent PRRSV infection, we have examined the cell-mediated immune (CMI) response throughout the course of infection and compared the results to the local distribution and abundance of PRRSV in infected tissues. PRRSV-specific T cells, enumerated by gamma interferon enzyme-linked immunospot assay, did not appear until 2 weeks after PRRSV inoculation, and their abundance exhibited substantial variation over time and among animals. In all cases the T-cell response was transient. High levels of viral RNA were present in lymphoid tissues of all animals in the acute phase of infection. Viral loads were decreased 1,000-fold or more in persistent infections, with the primary sites of persistence being tonsil, sternal lymph node, and inguinal lymph node. The abundance of virus-specific T cells in either acutely or persistently infected animals was highly variable and showed no correlation to the level of virus in lymphoid tissues. No significant difference in antigen-specific T-cell abundance was observed in secondary lymphoid tissues in either acute or persistent infection except for tonsil, in which the number of responding cells was extremely low. CD4(+)- and CD8(+)-T-cell frequencies did not change after PRRSV infection, though a decrease in gammadelta T cells was observed. Macrophages, the permissive cell type for PRRSV, were present in various levels in all tissue preparations and were not in proportion to local virus load. These findings indicate that a weak CMI response contributes to prolonged PRRSV infection and suggests that PRRSV suppresses T-cell recognition of infected macrophages. Thus, the slow but eventual resolution of PRRSV infection may be dependent on limiting permissive macrophages and on innate immune factors.  相似文献

After mouse mammary tumor virus (MMTV) infection, B lymphocytes present a superantigen (Sag) and receive help from the unlimited number of CD4(+) T cells expressing Sag-specific T-cell receptor Vbeta elements. The infected B cells divide and differentiate, similarly to what occurs in classical B-cell responses. The amplification of Sag-reactive T cells can be considered a primary immune response. Since B cells are usually not efficient in the activation of naive T cells, we addressed the question of whether professional antigen-presenting cells such as dendritic cells (DCs) are responsible for T-cell priming. We show here, using MMTV(SIM), a viral isolate which requires major histocompatibility complex class II I-E expression to induce a strong Sag response in vivo, that transgenic mice expressing I-E exclusively on DCs (I-EalphaDC tg) reveal a strong Sag response. This Sag response was dependent on the presence of B cells, as indicated by the absence of stimulation in I-EalphaDC tg mice lacking B cells (I-EalphaDC tg muMT(-/-)), even if these B cells lack I-E expression. Furthermore, the involvement of either residual transgene expression by B cells or transfer of I-E from DCs to B cells was excluded by the use of mixed bone marrow chimeras. Our results indicate that after priming by DCs in the context of I-E, the MMTV(SIM) Sag can be recognized on the surface of B cells in the context of I-A. The most likely physiological relevance of the lowering of the antigen threshold required for T-cell/B-cell collaboration after DC priming is to allow B cells with a low affinity for antigen to receive T-cell help in a primary immune response.  相似文献

Neurovirulent TYCSA strain and attenuated Schwarz strain of measles virus and Halle strain of subacute sclerosing panencephalitis (SSPE) virus replicated in cultures of human lymphoid cell lines of the T-cell type, MOLT-3, MOLT-4 and CCRF-CEM. TYCSA and Halle strains grew rapidly, but Schwarz strain grew slowly in these cell lines. Furthermore, these three strains established persistent infection in CCRF-CEM cells but not in the other cell lines. In these persistently infected cultures an almost entire population of cells were shown to be infected and infectious virus was produced constantly for over 100 days. Cells persistently infected with Schwarz strain contained nucleocapsid structures in both the nucleus and cytoplasm and produced low titered infectious virus, whereas nucleocapsid structures were observed only in the cytoplasm of cells persistently infected with either TYCSA or Halle strain and the titers of infectious virus produced from these cells were high.  相似文献
