Four species of the genus Echinatrium Spassky et Jurpalova, 1965 are redescribed. The material was collected from ducks of the Chaunskaya lowland (Chukotka). Morphological study of genital apparatus in cestode species found was carried out. According to the priority rule, it is suggested that the genus Monosaccanthes Czaplinski, 1967 is a junior synonym of the genus Echinatrium.  相似文献

Bird species in the avian genus Pitohui contain potent neurotoxic alkaloids that may be used for defense. The genus comprises multiple species that are endemic to New Guinea and were presumed to belong to the family Pachycephalidae or Colluricinclidae, within the core corvoidea, an ancient Australasian radiation of crow-like birds. In order to understand the evolution of toxicity within the genus Pitohui, we sequenced three mitochondrial and two nuclear gene segments and reconstructed a phylogeny of the genus Pitohui and its putative relatives. We show that the genus Pitohui is polyphyletic, and consists of five different lineages. Using Bayesian ancestral state reconstruction, we estimate that toxicity likely evolved multiple times within this group. Furthermore, because the morphological and behavioral similarity among these poisonous birds appears to have evolved convergently, we hypothesize that this may be a possible example of Müllerian mimicry in birds. The Morningbird of Palau, Micronesia, that has often been included in the genus Pitohui, actually belongs in the genus Pachycephala and offers an intriguing case of pronounced evolution on a remote oceanic island.  相似文献

The halophilic actinomycete genus Streptomonospora, forming a distinct branch in the 16S rRNA gene phylogenetic tree adjacent to the genera Nocardiopsis and Thermobifida, was first proposed by Cui et al. to accommodate the species type Streptomonospora salina. During a biodiversity and taxonomic study on halophilic filamentous actinomycetes from a saline lake in western China, numerous new halophilic actinomycetes strains were isolated. To confirm whether they are members of the genus Streptomonospora, one set of genus-specific oligonucleotides was designed which allows rapid detection of members of the genus Streptomonospora by means of PCR amplification. The genus specificity of these primers was validated with reference strains as well as with wild-type isolates, which exhibited morphological characteristics common to this genus.  相似文献

穿孔线虫属Radopholus是一类多寄主寄生的危险性植物线虫,其中以世界性危害的相似穿孔线虫R. similis为典型代表。但穿孔线虫属的分类学研究迄今仍不完善,形态描述粗糙,分子序列匮乏。本文列出穿孔线虫属的最新种类名录,归纳了27种穿孔线虫(双卵巢类型)的主要形态分类特征,并综述该属分子亲缘进化关系研究进展,为穿孔线虫属的分类和相似穿孔线虫的准确鉴定提供形态学基础和技术支持,同时也为该属线虫分类学的研究方向提出建议。  相似文献

异常球菌属的菌株是一类对引起细胞致死效应的辐射有极强抵抗能力的细菌,这类菌株不形成内生孢子,细胞呈球形或杆状,不具运动性。1956年,Anderson从经过射线灭菌处理后的肉罐头中发现了第一个异常球菌属的菌株(Deinococcus radiodurans)R1,该菌已得到了较为广泛的研究,以期阐明其抗辐射机制。伴随着微生物分类技术的发展,异常球菌属菌株的分类地位经历了很大的变化。目前,该属已涵盖了20个有效发表种。也由于异常球菌属菌株耐受辐射的能力是大肠杆菌忍耐辐射能力的千倍之上,而使其应用研究受到了广泛关注。  相似文献

In this paper, the present writer has discussed the lemurian intercontinental discontinuous distribution of the genus Medinilla of Melastomataceae between Tropical Asia and Tropical Africa. It appears to be that the genus was first brought to Eurasia continent from Africa continent as a result of Indian Plate drift. Therefore we conjecture that the genus probably occurred in Upper Cretaceous and its birthplace is probably in the southern part of Gondwanaland. In addition, we have reduced the genus Pseudodissochaeta M. P. Nayar published in 1969, because in this taxon the extra-ovarial chambers may go down to the middle or to the base of the ovary, as in other genera of Melastomataceae. Besides, no differences in pollen have been found between the taxon and the genus Medinilla.  相似文献

The phylogenetic relationships of elasmobranchs, especially sharks, are unclear. All previously made research and hypotheses indicate that there are still unsolved relationships within and between the class Chondrichthyes. To find out the relationship and sister group of this genus, the ribosomal ITS1-2 regions sequence has been chosen to differentiate the genus Carcharhinus from the blue shark (genus Prionace) and from some other genus species as an outgroup. The results show that the blue shark is a member of the genus Carcharhinus, suggesting that maybe the blue shark belongs also to the genus Carcharhinus instead of Prionace, or that there is a misclassification, Prionace being not a separate genus.  相似文献

A morphological and osteological study on a large number of specimens, together with zoogeographical data, indicate that the genus Bathyclarias , previously synonymized with the genus Dinotopterus , is a valid genus. It is rehabilitated in this paper. Bathyclarias is endemic to Lake Malawi, while Dinotopterus is confined to Lake Tanganyika.  相似文献

An attempt to elucidate the taxonomic position of the genera Mycococcus has been made. For this purpose the full range of the taxonomically important properties were investigated among microbial cultures preliminary identified as Mycococci. As a result of comparison Mycococcus with Micrococcus the taxonomic status of the genus Mycococcus was no longer confirmed. On the grounds of the published data and the author's experimental results it was concluded that genus Micrococcus was closely related to genus Arthrobacter. The possibility to place the genus Micrococcus within the group of coryneform bacteria is being discussed.  相似文献

Seeds of 33 laxa belonging to the family Tamaricaceae from Pakistan were studied by SEM. Two types of coma, columnar and ecolumnar, are recognized in the genus Tamarix. The colour of the hairs and the size of seeds are taxonomically important in the genus Reaumuria and the pattern of ridges is diagnostic in the genus Myricaria. The first pair of legs in males of some groups of diplopods is modified, having a large coxa and oral projecting prefemoral process; in the family Spirostreptidae (Spirostreptida) this structure has relevance on the genus level. This paper discusses the shape, presence, and absence of the prefemoral process in the genus Pseudonannolene (Pseudonannolenidae, Spirostreptida) and suggests that this structure is an important taxonomic character in this genus and can be used for distinguishing some species.  相似文献

Ixora is a genus of ca. 400 species in the family Rubiaceae. Since the 1940s, eighty‐one compounds including phenolics, peptides, terpenoids, and sterols have been isolated from six species of the genus Ixora. Pharmacological studies have shown that these compounds and extracts from the Ixora genus have extensive activities, such as antitumor, chemoprotective, and antioxidant activities. In this review, we summarize the phytochemical progress and list the compounds isolated from the genus Ixora. The biological activities of this genus are also covered.  相似文献

Low molecular, hydroxy, dioic, saturated and unsaturated fatty acids were determined of six cyanobacterial species belonging to genus Nostoc and in different habitats: freshwater, terrestrial, and as well as symbionts. There are large variations in individual fatty acid contents according to species, and location of the genus Nostoc. Peculiarities of the surface architectonics of the egg shell in 18 species of capillariids (Nematoda, Capillariidae) were studied. Capillariids were found in mammals of 5 orders: Insectivora, Chiroptera, Muridae, Carnivora and Arctiodactyla. A correlation between the structure of the external surface of egg shell of these nematodes on one hand, and localization in the organism of the definitive host and its biology on the other, was established. On the basis of these characters capillariids of the genera Capillaria, Eucoleus, Calodium, Liniscus, Thominx and Scrjabinocapillaria were arranged into 6 groups: 1 - the genus Capillaria (luman of the stomach and gut), 2 - the genus Eucoleus (mucous membrane of oesophagus and stomach), 3 - the genus Calodium (parenchima of the liver), 4 - the genus Liniscus (urinary bladder), 5 - the genus Thominx (lungs), 6 - the genera Thominx and Scrjabinocapillaria (lumen of the stomach). The classification suggested makes more precise and supplements the known systems of nematodes of the fam. Capillariidae.  相似文献

The genus Chalcasthenes Arrow (Dynastinae: Oryctoderini), a scarab beetle genus endemic to the Solomon Islands, is reviewed. Based on examination of type specimens, the genus Strehlia Frey (Rutelinae: Rutelini: Parastasiina) is a new junior synonym of Chalcasthenes . The historical classification of these genera (either in the subfamily Dynastinae or Rutelinae) and character-based criteria for assigning the taxa to the Dynastinae are provided. We discuss character states that support the monophyly of members of the genus Chalcasthenes, comment on the distribution and biogeography of species in the genus and provide a key to species. The genus includes four species: Chalcasthenes divinus Endrödi, Chalcasthenes pulcher Arrow, Chalcasthenes squamigerus Frey new combination and Chalcasthenes styracoceros Jameson and Ratcliffe n. sp. Species hypotheses are corroborated based on evidence from Pleistocene geological reconstructions of the Solomon Islands, geographic variation of bird species in the region and development in scarab beetles.  相似文献
