The reaction of [N(PPh3)2]2[Ni6(CO)12] with Cu(PPh3)xCl (x=1, 2), as well as the degradation of [N(PPh3)2]2[H2Ni12(CO)21] with PPh3, affords the new and unstable dark orange–brown [N(PPh3)2]2[Ni9(CO)16].THF salt in low yields. This salt has been characterized by a CCD X-ray diffraction determination, along with IR spectroscopy and elemental analysis. The close-packed two-layer metal core geometry of the [Ni9(CO)16]2− dianion is directly related to that of the bimetallic [Ni6Rh3(CO)17]3− trianion and may be envisioned to be formally derived from the hcp three-layer geometry of [Ni12(CO)21]4− by the substitution of one of the two outer [Ni3(CO)3(μ−CO)3]2− layers with a face-bridging carbonyl group.  相似文献

Cuaq+ forms stable complexes with carbon monoxide in aqueous solutions. Furthermore it reacts very fast with aliphatic radicals. The reaction of Cu(CO)maq+ with methyl radicals, CH3 was studied using the pulse-radiolysis technique. The results point out that methyl radicals react with Cu(CO)aq+ to form an unstable intermediate with a CuII-C σ bond identified as (CO)CuII-CH3+, k = (1.1±0.2) × 109 M−1 s−1. This intermediate has a strong LMCT charge transfer band (λmax = 385 nm, max = 2500 M−1 cm−1) which is similar to the absorption bands of other transient complexes with CuII-alkyl σ bonds. The coordinated carbon monoxide in (CO)CuII-CH3+ inserts into the copper—carbon bond (or rather the coordinated methyl migrates to the coordinated carbon monoxide ligand) at a rate of (3.0±0.8) × 102 s−1 to form the copperacetyl complex (CO)mCuII-C(CH3)=O+max = 480 nm, max = 2100 M−1 cm−1). The rate of formation of (CO)CuII-CH3+ and of the insertion reaction are pH independent. The complex (CO)mCuII-C(CH3)=O+ is also unstable and decomposes heterolytically to yield acetaldehyde and Cuaq2+ as the final stable products. This reaction is slightly pH dependent. The same reactivity pattern has been observed for the Cu(COnaq+ complexes (n = 2 or 3). The results clearly point out that CO remains coordinated to transient complexes of the type CuII-alkyl.  相似文献

The reactions of the polysulfur and selenium cationic clusters S82+ and Se82+ with various iron carbonyls were investigated. Several new chalcogen containing iron carbonyl cluster cations were isolated, depending on the nature of the counteranion. In the presence of SbF6 as a counterion, the cluster [Fe3(E2)2(CO)10] [SbF6]2·SO2 (E = S, Se) could be isolated from the reaction of E82+ and excess iron carbonyl. The cluster is a picnic-basket shaped molecule of two iron centers linked by two Se2 groups, with the whole fragment capped by an Fe(CO)4 group. Crystallographic data for C10O12Fe3Se4Sb2F12S (I): space group monoclinic P21/c, A = 11.810(9), b = 24.023(6), c = 10.853(7) Å, β = 107.15(5)°, V = 2942(3) Å3, Z = 4, R = 0.0426, Rw = 0.0503. When Sb2F11 is present as the counterion, or Se4[Sb2F11]2 is used as the cluster cation source, a different cluster can be isolated, which has the formula [Fe4(Se2)3(CO)12] [SbF6]2·3SO2. The dication contains two Fe2Se2 fragments bridged by an Se2 group. Crystallographic data for C12O18Fe4Se6Sb2F12S3 (III): space group triclinic , b = 18.400(9), C = 10.253(4) Å, = 93.10(4), β = 103.74(3), γ = 93.98(3)°, V = 1995(1) Å3, Z = 2, R = 0.0328, Rw = 0.0325. The CO stretches in the IR spectrum all show a large shift to higher wavenumbers, suggesting almost no τ backbonding from the metals. This also correlates with the observed bond distances. All the compounds are extremely sensitive to air and water, and readily lose SO2 when removed from the solvent. Thus all the crystals were handled at −100°C. The clusters seem to be either insoluble or unstable in all solvents investigated.  相似文献

Protonation of Na3[Ta(CO)5] in liquid ammonia provides the thermally unstable Na[Ta(CO)5NH3], which may be isolated as the crystalline and deep violet salt [Ph4As][Ta(CO)5NH3]. Sodium amminepentacarbonyltantalate(1−) reacts with PMe3, PPh3, P(OMe)3, AsPh3, SbPh3, CNtBu and CN at about 0°C in NH3/THF to give exclusively the corresponding [Ta(CO)5L]z. These have been isolated as tetraethylammonium salts in 54–84% yields.  相似文献

The kinetics of the reactions between anhydrous HCl and trans-[MoL(CNPh)(Ph2PCH2CH2PPh2)2] (L=CO, N2 or H2) have been studied in thf at 25.0 °C. When L=CO, the product is [MoH(CO)(CNPh)(Ph2PCH2CH2PPh2)2]+, and when L=H2 or N2 the product is trans-[MoCl(CNHPh)(Ph2PCH2CH2PPh2)2]. Using stopped-flow spectrophotometry reveals that the protonation chemistry of trans-[MoL(CNPh)(Ph2PCH2CH2PPh2)2] is complicated. It is proposed that in all cases protonation occurs initially at the nitrogen atom of the isonitrile ligand to form trans-[MoL(CNHPh)(Ph2PCH2CH2PPh2)2]+. Only when L=N2 is this single protonation sufficient to labilise L to dissociation, and subsequent binding of Cl gives trans-[MoCl(CNHPh)(Ph2PCH2CH2PPh2)2]. At high concentrations of HCl a second protonation occurs which inhibits the substitution. It is proposed that this second proton binds to the dinitrogen ligand. When L=CO or H2, a second protonation is also observed but in these cases the second protonation is proposed to occur at the carbon atom of the aminocarbyne ligand, generating trans-[MoL(CHNHPh)(Ph2PCH2CH2PPh2)2]2+. Addition of the second proton labilises the trans-H2 to dissociation, and subsequent rapid binding of Cl and dissociation of a proton yields the product trans-[MoCl(CNHPh)(Ph2PCH2CH2PPh2)2]. Dissociation of L=CO does not occur from trans-[Mo(CO)(CHNHPh)(Ph2PCH2CH2PPh2)2]2+, but rather migration of the proton from carbon to molybdenum, and dissociation of the other proton produces [MoH(CO)(CNPh)(Ph2PCH2CH2PPh2)2]+.  相似文献

The kinetics of substitution reactions of [η-CpFe(CO)3]PF6 with PPh3 in the presence of R-PyOs have been studied. For all the R-PyOs (R = 4-OMe, 4-Me, 3,4-(CH)4, 4-Ph, 3-Me, 2,3-(CH)4, 2,6-Me2, 2-Me), the reactions yeild the same product [η5-CpFe(CO)2PPh3]PF6, according to a second-order rate law that is first order in concentrations of [η5-CpFe(CO)3]PF6 and of R-PyO but zero order in PPh3 concentration. These results, along with the dependence of the reaction rate on the nature of R-PyO, are consistent with an associative mechanism. Activation parameters further support the bimmolecular nature of the reactions: ΔH = 13.4 ± 0.4 kcal mol−1, ΔS = −19.1 ± 1.3 cal k−1 mol−1 for 4-PhPyO; ΔH = 12.3 ± 0.3 kcal mol−1, ΔS = 24.7 ±1.0 cal K−1 mol−1 for 2-MePyO. For the various substituted pyridine N-oxides studied in this paper, the rates of reaction increase with the increasing electron-donating abilities of the substituents on the pyridine ring or N-oxide basicities, but decrease with increasing 17O chemical shifts of the N-oxides. Electronic and steric factors contributing to the reactivity of pyridine N-oxides have been quantitatively assessed.  相似文献

Reaction of [Rh(CO)2I]2 (1) with MeI in nitrile solvents gives the neutral acetyl complexes, [Rh(CO)(NCR)(COMe)I2]2 (R=Me, 3a; tBu, 3b; vinyl, 3c; allyl, 3d). Dimeric, iodide-bridged structures have been confirmed by X-ray crystallography for 3a and 3b. The complexes are centrosymmetric with approximate octahedral geometry about each Rh centre. The iodide bridges are asymmetric, with Rh-(μ-I) trans to acetyl longer than Rh-(μ-I) trans to terminal iodide. In coordinating solvents, 3a forms mononuclear complexes, [Rh(CO)(sol)2(COMe)I2] (sol=MeCN, MeOH). Complex 3a reacts with pyridine to give [Rh(CO)(py)(COMe)I2]2 and [Rh(CO)(py)2(COMe)I2] and with chelating diphosphines to give [Rh(Ph2P(CH2)nPPh2)(COMe)I2] (n=2, 3, 4). Addition of MeI to [Ir(CO)2(NCMe)I] is two orders of magnitude slower than to [Ir(CO)2I2]. A mechanism for the reaction of 1 with MeI in MeCN is proposed, involving initial bridge cleavage by solvent to give [Rh(CO)2(NCMe)I] and participation of the anion [Rh(CO)2I2] as a reactive intermediate. The possible role of neutral Rh(III) species in the mechanism of Rh-catalysed methanol carbonylation is discussed.  相似文献

A new synthetic process is reported for the preparation of two substituted metal carbonyls, (p-CH3OC6H4)2TeM(CO)5 (M = Mo, W). In the presence of (p-CH3OC6H4)2TeO as O atom transfer reagent in tetrahydrofuran solvent, a CO ligand is replaced by telluroether when M(CO)6 (M = Mo, W) is reacted with (p-CH3OC6H4)2TeO under very mild experimental conditions (r.t.). The products were characterized by elemental analysis, mass, IR and 1H NMR spectroscopies. The spectra suggest that the coordination geometry is distorted from a regular octahedral structure due to an asymmetrical bulky telluroether ligand on the metal atom. Kinetics of these reactions of M(CO)6 with (p-CH3OC6H4)2TeO show the reactions are first order in the concentration of M(CO)6 and of Te oxide. The rates of reaction decrease in the order W(CO)6>Mo(CO)6>Cr(CO)6, and the results obtained are discussed in term of a presumed mechanism.  相似文献

The reaction of cis-[Os(CO)4Me2] with Me3NO in the THF or MeCN yields the complexes fac-[Os(CO)3(L)Me2] (where L = THF or MeCN). Whereas the THF complex is unstable and only characterised spectroscopically, fac-[Os(CO)3(MeCN)Me2] has been isolated as a white solid and fully characterized by both analytical and spectroscopic methods. These complexes fac-[Os(CO)3(L)Me2] are shown to be useful intermediates. Thus, reaction with PPh3 gives fac-[Os(CO)3(PPh3)Me2] in good yield.Reactions of fac-[Os(CO)3(L)Me2] (L = CO or MeCN) with CPh3PF6 or B(C6F5)3 have been investigated. Whereas cis-[Os(CO)4Me2] showed no reaction with either CPh3PF6 or B(C6F5)3, the reaction of fac-[Os(CO)3(MeCN)Me2] with CPh3PF6 in CH2Cl2 occurred over 16 h at room temperature to give an unstable cationic product and CPh3Me. The reaction was monitored by both IR and NMR spectroscopies. When this reaction of fac-[Os(CO)3(MeCN)Me2] was carried out in the presence of a trapping ligand such as MeCN, the stable cationic product [Os(CO)3(MeCN)2Me]+ could be isolated and identified spectroscopically.  相似文献

The reactions of [(H5C6)3P]2ReH6 with (CH3CN)3Cr(CO)3, (diglyme)Mo(CO)3 or (C3H7CN)3W(CO)3 led to the formation of [(H5C6)3P]2ReH6M(CO)3 (M = Cr, Mo, W) complexes. These have been characterized by IR and NMR spectroscopies, as well as elemental analyses. A single crystal X-ray diffraction study has also been carried out for the M = Cr complex as a K(18-crown-6)+ salt. The complex crystallizes as a THF monosolvate in the monoclinic space group P21/n with a = 22.323(6), B = 9.523(2), C = 27.502(5) Å, β = 104.98(2)0 and V = 5648 Å3 for Z = 4. The Re---Cr separation is 2.5745(12) Å, and the two phosphine ligands are oriented unsymmetrically. Although the hydride ligands were not found, the presence of three bridging hydrides and a dodecahedral coordination geometry about rhenium could be inferred. Low temperature 1H and 31P NMR spectroscopic studies did not reveal the low symmetry of the solid state structure.  相似文献

The rate of oxidative addition of methyl disulfide in the complex W(CO)3(1,10-phenanthroline) (MeSSMe) in methylene chloride has been studied. The dominant reaction pathway is second order in metal complex and inhibited by excess methyl disulfide. Formation of a dinuclear complex [W(CO)3(phen)]2(MeSSMe) is proposed to lead to the transition state for cleavage of the sulfur-sulfur bond in the second-order mechanism. In neat methyl disulfide, or in concentratred solutions of methyl disulfide at low metal complex concentrations, the reaction occurs at reduced rate and follows a first-order mechanism. Addition of Mo(CO)3(1,10-phenanthroline) (MeSSMe) to the corresponding tungsten complex results in a ten-fold increase in the rate of oxidative addition of the tungsten complex and production of Mo(CO)4(1,10-phenanthroline) as the sole molybdenum-containing product. The faster rate of reaction in the presence of the molybdenum complex is attributed to the faster formation of the heteronuclear dinuclear intermediate by initial loss of MeSSMe from the molybdenum versus tungsten center. Additional kinetic/mechanistic studies are described using a new flow-through FT-IR/microscope reaction system designed to allow convenient monitoring of small quantities of sensitive/hazardous reactants.  相似文献

Reactions of Cr(CO)36-BT), in which the Cr is π-coordinated to the benzene ring of benzo[b]thiophene (BT), with Cp′(CO)2Re(THF), where Cp′ = η5-C5H5 or η5-C5Me5, give the products Cp′(CO)2Re(η262-BT)Cr(CO)3 in which the Cr remains coordinated to the benzene ring and Re is bound to the C(2)=C(3) double bond. An X-ray diffraction study of Cp(CO)2Re(η262-BT)Cr(CO)3 (3) provides details of the geometry. This structure contrasts with that of the Cp′(CO)2Re(BT) complexes that exist as mixtures of isomers in which the BT is coordinated to the Re through either the double bond (2,3-η2) or the sulfur (η1(S)). Thus, the electron-withdrawing Cr(CO)3 group in 3 stabilizes the 2,3-η2 mode of BT coordination to the Cp′(CO)2Re fragment. Implications of these results for catalytic hydrodesulfurization of BT are discussed. Crystal data for 3: triclinic, space group .  相似文献

The mono-substituted amine derivatives [Ir4(CO)11L] (L = pyridine (1), 4-methylpyridine (2), 4-ter-butyl pyridine (3), 3,5-dimethylpyridine (4), 3,4-dimethylpyridine (5)) were obtained by the reaction of [Ir4(CO)11Br] with the corresponding aromatic amine. In the solid state, cluster 2 has an approximate Cs symmetry with all terminal ligands as shown by an X-ray analysis. In solution, this unbridged structure is in dynamic equilibrium with two other isomeric forms having three edge-bridging CO’s on a common basal face and the amine ligand coordinated in axial or in radial position relative to this face.  相似文献

Kinetic results are reported for intramolecular PPh3 substitution reactions of Mo(CO)21-L)(PPh3)2(SO2) to form Mo(CO)22-L)(PPh3)(SO2) (L = DMPE = (Me)2PC2H4P(Me)2 and dppe=Ph2PC2H4PPh2) in THF solvent, and for intermolecular SO2 substitutions in Mo(CO)32-L)(η2-SO2) (L = 2,2′-bipyridine, dppe) with phosphorus ligands in CH2Cl2 solvent. Activation parameters for intramolecular PPh3 substitution reactions: ΔH values are 12.3 kcal/mol for dmpe and 16.7 kcal/mol for dppe; ΔS values are −30.3 cal/mol K for dmpe and −16.4 cal/mol K for dppe. These results are consistent with an intramolecular associative mechanism. Substitutions of SO2 in MO(CO)32-L)(η2-SO2) complexes proceed by both dissociative and associative mechanisms. The facile associative pathways for the reactions are discussed in terms of the ability of SO2 to accept a pair of electrons from the metal, with its bonding transformations of η2-SO2 to η1-pyramidal SO2, maintaining a stable 18-e count for the complex in its reaction transition state. The structure of Mo(CO)2(dmpe)(PPh3)(SO2) was determined crystallographically: P21/c, A=9.311(1), B = 16.344(2), C = 18.830(2) Å, ß=91.04(1)°, V=2865.1(7) Å3, Z=4, R(F)=3.49%.  相似文献

The preparation and structural characterization of {Ru3(CO)11}2(1,4-bis(diphenylphosphino)benzene), a modified synthesis of 1,4-bis(diphenylphosphino)benzene, and the structural characterization of {Ru3(CO)11}2(bis(diphenylphosphino)ethane) are reported. In both compounds two metal cluster units are connected through ditertiary-phosphine ligands. Both molecules consist of centrosymmetric units in which the diphosphine ligands are largely covered by the triangular ruthenium clusters. No direct interaction between the two cluster units occurs within individual molecules. Molecular packing in the solid state is dominated by interactions between sets of carbon monoxide ligands in motifs that were previously identified in the solid state structure of the parent cluster, Ru3(CO)12.  相似文献

The heteometallic cluster compound [PPN]2[Re7C(CO)21Rh(CO)2] reacts with tertiary phosphines and phosphites selectively at the rhodium center to form the mono-substituted products [PPN]2[Re7C(CO) (L)]. Isolated compounds have been characterized by standard analytical and spectroscopic methods. Kinetics studies have shown that the reaction proceeds by an overall second-order process, first order in complex and first order in nucleophile. The second-order rate constants have been analysed in terms of electronic and steric effects. The substitution rates at the rhodium center in the cluster are compared with those for the analogous mononuclear complexes (n5-C5H4X)Rh(CO)2 previously studied by Basolo and co-workers.  相似文献

Kinetic studies of the addition of a wide range of tertiary phosphines and phosphites to the tropylium ring of the cation [Cr(CO)37-C7H7]+ (1) reveal the two-term raw, kobs = k1[PR3] + k−1. This is consistent with the reversible equilibrium process (i) which is also confirmed from IR and 1H NMR studies. In the case of the highly basic nucleophiles PBu3n and PEt2Ph, the rate is dominated by the k1 term and the equilibrium lies far to the right. The first-order rate constants k1, for addition to the tropylium ring decrease markedly down the series PBu3n>PEt2Ph>P(4-MeOC6H4)3>P(4-MeC6H4)3>P(C6H11 3>PPh2(4-MeC6H4)>PPh3>P(2-CNC2H4)3>P(OBun)3 (overall variation 104). This reactivity order parallels the decreasing electron availability at the phosphorus centres, as confirmed by the linear correlation between log k1 and the Tolman Σχ values for the nucleophiles. Excellent Hammett and Brønsted correlations are also observed for ring addition by a range of P(4-XC6H4)3 nucleophiles. The Brønsted slope, , of 0.7 conirms the major importance of basicity in determining nucleophilicity towards cation 1. Kinetic studies of the related additions of PBu3n to the cations [M(CO)37-C7H7]+ (M = Mo, W) reveal the rate law, Rate = k1[M][PBu3n, and show only a small dependence of k1 on the nature of metal (Cr>WMo; 2:1.1:1). These data, together with the associated activation parameters, support a mechanism involving direct addition (k1) of the phosphorus nucleophiles to the tropylium ring, and are inconsistent with initial rate-determining attack at the metal centre.  相似文献

In a synthetic route that varies from the standard procedure requiring irradiation, the (η6-C6H5Cl)Cr(CO)2PPh3 complex is obtained upon reacting (η6-C6H5Cl)Cr(CO)3 with tetrakis(triphenylphosphine)palladium(0), CuI, and trimethylsilylphenylacetylene in triethylamine. The X-ray crystal structure of the yellow–orange crystals of (η6-C6H5Cl)Cr(CO)2PPh3 allows structural comparisons to related (arene)Cr(CO)2PR3 complexes.  相似文献

The enthalpies of reaction of HMo(CO)3C5R5 (R = H, CH3) with diphenyldisulfide producing PhSMo(CO)3C5R5 and PhSH have been measured in toluene and THF solution (R = H, ΔH= −8.5 ± 0.5 kcal mol−1 (tol), −10.8 ± 0.7 kcal mol−1 (THF); R = CH3, ΔH = −11.3±0.3 kcal mol−1 (tol), −13.2±0.7 kcal mol−1 (THF)). These data are used to estimate the Mo---SPh bond strength to be on the order of 38–41 kcal mol−1 for these complexes. The increased exothermicity of oxidative addition of disulfide in THF versus toluene is attributed to hydrogen bonding between thiophenol produced in the reaction and THF. This was confirmed by measurement of the heat of solution of thiophenol in toluene and THF. Differential scanning calorimetry as well as high temperature calorimetry have been performed on the dimerization and subsequent decarbonylation reactions of PhSMo(CO)3Cp yielding [PhSMo(CO)2Cp]2 and [PhSMo(CO)Cp]2. The enthalpies of reaction of PhSMo(CO)3Cp and [PhSMo(CO)2Cp]2 with PPh3, PPh2Me and P(OMe)3 have also been measured. The disproportionation reaction: 2[PhSMo(CO)2Cp]2 → 2PhSMo(CO)3Cp + [PhSMP(CO)Cp]2 is reported and its enthalpy has also been measured. These data allow determination of the enthalpy of formation of the metal-sulfur clusters [PhSMo(CO)nC5H5]2, N = 1,2.  相似文献

Me3Si-X reagents react to completion at 25°C in a short time to convert Ir(H)2FL2 (L=PtBu2Ph) to Ir(H)2XL2. This involves formation of Ir-O, Ir-N, Ir-I, Ir-S and Ir-C(sp) bonds. Products include some η2-X ligands such as carboxylate and acetamide, NHC(O)CH3. The acetamide is shown to be η2 in the solid state and in solution, but readily rearranges, by a transition state with Ir-O bond cleavage, to effect site exchange of the two inequivalent hydrides. The same synthetic approach succeeds for the more crowded metallated species and these reactions arc shown to fail when F is replaced by Cl in the iridium reagent. Unsaturation at Ir is suggested to be central to the mechanism of these F/X transposition reactions.  相似文献
