A new species of Mallocybe is described and illustrated based on material collected near the vicinity of Pinus wallichiana in mixed conifer forests in district Abbottabad, Khyber Pakhtoonkhaw, Pakistan. Mallocybe velutina is recognized by the presence of moderate yellow to light yellow pileal margin with deep yellow or fulvous pileus center; strikingly velvety pileus surface; subdistant moderate yellow lamellae; subphaseoliform to ellipsoid basidiospores, clavate to cylindrical cheilocystidia and an ecological association with Pinaceae. The internal transcribed spacer region (ITS) and large subunit of the nuclear ribosomal RNA gene (nrLSU) were used for the delimitation of this species based on sequence data. The evolutionary relationships of M. velutina with other closely related species of Mallocybe were inferred by means of maximum likelihood and maximum parsimony of concatenated ITS + nrLSU dataset. Mallocybe velutina is most closely related to M. arenaria, M. heimii and M. tomentosula.  相似文献

During a study of the rust fungi of the northwestern region of Pakistan, three species were collected that are new to science: Puccinia dichanthii on Dichanthium annulatum, P. leersiae on Leersia oryzoides, and P. sporoboli-coromandeliani on Sporobolus coromandelianus. These have been collected from and near the vicinity of Ayubia National Park, Bara Gali, Khanspur and Nathia Gali.  相似文献

A new species of Lepiota, L. vellingana, is described and illustrated from Lahore, Pakistan. It is characterized by a campanulate to plano-convex, slightly umbonate, white pileus covered with pinkish brown scales, crowded lamellae, guttulate basidiospores, long trichodermial stipe elements, and long trichodermial pileal elements.  相似文献

New antelope material from the Tatrot type locality of the Tatrot Formation, Upper Siwaliks, northern Pakistan, allows us to recognize four antelopes, i.e., Antilope intermedia sp. nov. Khan and Akhtar, Antilope subtorta Pilgrim, 1937, Antilope cervicapra (Linnaeus, 1758), and Kobus porrecticornis (Lydekker, 1878). Comparisons with A. cervicapra and A. subtorta suggest that A. intermedia sp. nov. is closely related to the black buck A. cervicapra. The new material from Tatrot confirms the idea that antelopes in the Upper Pliocene Tatrot Formation were rather diverse.  相似文献

Two new species of the genus Trichomimastra Weise, 1922 from Pakistan, T. pakistanica sp. n. and T. kaganica sp. n., are described; a key to the species of this genus from the Himalayas and neighboring areas (Pakistan, Afghanistan) is proposed.  相似文献

A new species ofFusarium, F. nisikadoi, isolated fromPhyllostachys nigra var.henonis (bamboo) andTriticum aestivum (wheat) in Japan, is described, illustrated and discussed. This species is differentiated from other known species of the genus by the following characteristics: whitish colony color, long zigzag-like chains of 0–3(-5)-septate clavate conidia, intermixed with pyriform conidia, produced mostly from monophialides and rarely from polyphialides in the aerial mycelium, very long and slender sporodochial conidia, and no chlamydospores. The long chains of septate conidia are known only in this species of the genusFusarium. The conidiophores on the aerial mycelium sometimes proliferate sympodially. The species is tentatively placed in the form-sectionLiseola.  相似文献

Bovista sclerocystis is described as a new species. It was found in Mexico, growing on rich soil of a tropical forest. It belongs to section Globaria, series Albosquamosa. The most striking character of this taxon is the exoperidium composed of polymorphous mycosclereids.  相似文献

Aspergillus taichungensis isolated from a soil sample collected in Taiwan is described as a new species. The new species is characterized by its restricted growth on Czapek's and malt extract agars and its white to light yellow colonies, radiate conidial heads, smooth and often diminutive conidiophores, hemispherical to elongate vesicles with biseriate aspergilla (conidiogenous cells), globose, micro-verrucose conidia and dark brown sclerotia. The species somewhat resemblesA. versicolor, A. terreus andA. flavipes, but differs in cultural and morphological details, and is considered to represent an interface species in the subgenusNidulantes.  相似文献

A new species ofTalaromyces, characterized by development of unusual deep green ascomata on common media, is described and given the nameTalaromyces euchlorocarpius. This species, isolated from soil, also produces ellipsoidal, spinose ascospores, typically biverticillate penicilli, large ellipsoidal, smooth-walled conidia, and is assigned to the seriesLutei of the sectionTalaromyces.  相似文献
