1990年5至7月,在国家海洋局第三海洋研究所陆基水池中进行了了围隔生态系内富营养化引起的生态效应实验。实验表明,富营养的围隔袋中,浮游植物群落结构逐渐发生了变化,组成和数量都有很大的变动。形成水华和赤潮。并发生了种群的演替。水华以硅藻开始,形成高潮之后便衰退。随后微鞭毛藻和甲藻开始较大量繁殖。金藻和甲藻在实验中形成赤潮,最高值达到6.7×10~(10)cells/m~3。甲藻和硅藻的生长似乎互相抑制。实验初期,在硅藻繁盛时,甲藻的种、属和数量都很少。而在演替的后期,硅藻衰落时,甲藻占优势。数量最高达2.6×10~8cells/m~3。实验演示了发生在硅藻水华之后的甲藻赤潮发展过程,与1986年厦门西海域发生的裸甲藻赤潮的发展过程相似。实验结果为进一步研究甲藻赤潮的形成规律及其预测预报积累了资料和经验。  相似文献

探讨了甲藻赤潮与浮游植物演替的关系.多次国隔生态系实验结果表明,在水体相对稳定的生态系中,富营养后总是先发生硅藻的水华或赤潮.随后浮游植物会演替成占优势的甲藻,甚至形成甲藻赤潮.维生素B(12)的异常增多可能加速这种演替的进程.但这种稳定水体若受到扰动,将干扰演替,使硅藻水华持续不断地发展,阻碍甲藻形成优势.这可以防止甲藻赤潮的生成.  相似文献

现场研究了发生严重海洋原甲藻(Prorocentrummicans)水华后海水实验围隔中桡足类火腿许水蚤(Schmackeriapoplesia)和长腹剑水蚤(Oithonasp.)的摄食强度.结果表明,体长在125mm以上的火腿许水蚤成体及其部分桡足幼体对海洋原甲藻的摄食率平均为12140cels·ind-1·d-1;体长不到125mm的部分火腿许水蚤桡足幼体和长腹剑水蚤成体及其桡足幼体的摄食率仅为1133cels·ind-1·d-1.实验期间围隔中海洋原甲藻的浓度为850~16170cels·ml-1,该藻的种群增长率为-0.002~0.150.当海洋原甲藻细胞处于生长期时,桡足类的摄食不足以抑制该藻种群的增长,因此围隔中桡足类不可能阻止海洋原甲藻水华发生或使水华发生后迅速消退  相似文献

在东海赤潮爆发区域运用围隔生态系实验方法,研究了不同营养盐条件下围隔生态系内多胺浓度变化。结果表明:2010年选用东海原甲藻赤潮爆发处海水,东海原甲藻是各围隔生态系内主要优势种,没有种群演替现象发生。两种营养盐添加方式下各围隔内精胺浓度维持较高水平,都呈现先波折下降后波折上升的趋势,与东海原甲藻的生长变化正好相反;各围隔内腐胺浓度水平较高,变化起伏较大,其中有两个实验组腐胺整体变化趋势与东海原甲藻生长趋势类似;所有围隔内亚精胺浓度最低,波动较小。2011年取用中肋骨条藻赤潮爆发处海水,所有围隔生态系内优势种都发生了从中肋骨条藻到东海原甲藻的演替。各围隔生态系内腐胺浓度最高,在中肋骨条藻生长初期腐胺浓度下降,随着中肋骨条藻的生长有所上升,实验后期随着东海原甲藻的生长又整体呈现出下降趋势;各实验组精胺浓度较低,在中肋骨条藻消亡东海原甲藻出现的种群演替期间,都呈现出较大波动;各围隔内亚精胺浓度较低,在整个种群演替过程中没有明显的变化。围隔生态系中补充营养盐,通过对浮游植物生长的影响,间接影响围隔生态系内的多胺变化。  相似文献

对建在武汉东湖大型围隔、围栏内的浮游植物进行了18个月的研究,结果表明:围隔(栏)和对照区的浮游植物共有7门89属,全年均以绿藻、蓝藻和硅藻种类最多,围隔中的绿藻种类多于围栏和对照区,其它门类在各群落间无明显差别,浮游植物的种类依秋、夏、春、冬的次序减少,各季节均以绿藻种类最多,其次为蓝藻和硅藻。藻类密度则以春、夏、冬、秋的次序递减,隐藻、绿藻、硅藻、蓝藻的数量之和约占总数的95%以上。各区中浮游  相似文献

We examined the energetic dependency of the biochemical and physiological responses of Thalassiosira pseudonana Hasle and Heimdal. Chaetoceros gracilis Schütt, Dunaliella tertiolecta Butcher, and Gymnodinium sanguineum Hirasaka to NH4+, NO3?, and urea by growing them at subsaturating and saturating photon flux (PF). At subsaturating PF, when energy was limiting, NO3? and NH4+ grown cells had similar growth rates and C and X quotas. Therefore, NO3? grown cells used up to 48% more energy than NH4+ grown cells to assimilate carbon and nitrogen. Based on our measurements of pigments, chlorophyll-a-specific in vivo absorption cross-section, and fluorescence-chlorophyll a?1, we suggest that NO3?, grown cells do not compensate for the greater energy requirements of NO3? reduction by trapping more light energy. At saturating PF, when energy is not limiting, the utilization of NO3?, compared to NH4+ resulted in lower growth rates and N quotas in Thalassiosira pseudonana and lower N quotas in Chaetoceros gracilis, suggesting enzymatic rather than energetic limitations to growth. The utilization of urea compared to Nh4+ resulted in lower growth rates in Chaetoceros gracilis and Gymnodinium sanguineum (saturating PF) and in lower N quotas in all species tested at both subsaturating and saturating PF. The high C:N ratios observed in all urea-grown species suggest that nitrogen assimilation may be limited by urea uptake or deamination and that symptoms of N limitation in microalgae may be induced by the nature of the N source in addition to the N supply rate. Our results provide new eridence that the maximum growth rates of microalgae may be limited by enzymatic processes associated with the assimilation of NO3?, or urea.  相似文献

The growth rate of Laminaria saccharina (L.) Lamour. is dependent on inorganic nitrogen in culture. Growth rates were saturated between 5 and 10 μmol · L?1 nitrate. The activities of ribulose-1,5 bisphosphate carboxylase, phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase, mannitol-1-phosphate dehydrogenase, nitrate reductase and glutamine synthetase also varied with the concentration of inorganic nitrogen in the medium. All enzyme activities were lowest at 2.5 μmol · L?1 nitrate (the lowest concentration used) increasing to a maximum activity between 10 and 30 μmol · L?1 nitrate. Most enzyme activities followed a hyperbolic curve resembling those described by the Michaelis-Menten equation, with different half-saturation constants.  相似文献

The role of carbonic anhydrase (CA) in inorganic carbon acquisition (dissolved inorganic carbon, DIC) was examined in Alboran Sea phytoplankton assemblages. The study area was characterized by a relatively high variability in nutrient concentration and in abundance and taxonomic composition of phytoplankton. Therefore, the relationship between environmental variability and capacity for using HCO3? via external CA (eCA) was examined. Acetazolamide (AZ, an inhibitor of eCA) inhibited the primary productivity (PP) in 50% of the samples, with inhibition percentages ranging from 13% to 60%. The AZ effect was more prominent in the samples that exhibited PP >1 mg C · m?3 · h?1, indicating that the contribution of eCA to the DIC photosynthetic flux was irrelevant at low PP. The inhibition of primary productivity by AZ was significantly correlated to the abundance of diatoms. However, there was no a relationship between AZ effect and CO2 partial pressure (pCO2) or nutrient concentration, indicating that the variability in the PP percentage supported by eCA was mainly due to differences in taxonomic composition of the phytoplankton assemblages. Ethoxyzolamide (EZ, an inhibitor of both external and internal CA) affected 13 of 14 analyzed samples, with PP inhibition percentages varying from 50% to 95%. The effects of AZ and EZ were partially reversed by doubling DIC concentration. These results imply that CA activity (external and/or internal) was involved in inorganic carbon acquisition in most the samples. However, EZ effect was not correlated with pCO2 or taxonomic composition of the phytoplankton.  相似文献

Patterns of algal succession for a sewage-polluted and an unpolluted habitat near Wilson Cove, San Clemente Island, California, were studied from December 1974 to June 1977. Resident populations were analyzed for 56 fully denuded and 34 undisturbed control quadrats during 11 assessment periods. The denuded quadrats in the perturbated (polluted) habitat showed recovery within 1.0 mo as determined by cover, percent similarity and species diversity comparisons with control plots. The short recovery times of the algal populations dominating the perturbated habitat indicate that these species maintain relatively constant overall abundances due to their potential for rapid recruitment and growth. Denuded quadrats in the unpolluted habitat did not show recovery even after 30.0 mo. These quadrats were dominated during the first 1.3 mo by algae characteristic of the perturbated area, including filamentous Ectocarpaceae, colonial diatoms and bluegreen algae. Petalonia fascia (Müll.) Kuntze (1.3–3.0 mo), and Scytosiphon lomentaria (Lyngb.)J. Ag. and Colpomenia sinuosa (Roth) Derb. & Sol. (1.3–5.0 mo) were abundant shortly following plot denudation and provided thick growths that may have excluded other algae. The similarity between the species occupying the sterilized plots during the first few months and those that provide the majority of cover in the perturbated area supports the hypothesis that the dominant algae of the upper and midintertidal regions of this habitat consist largely of early successional or opportunistic species with high capacities for growth and reproduction. Additionally, these experiments suggest that algal populations described for other perturbated epilithic systems also represent resilient subclimax associations.  相似文献

Snow meltwater containing 36 ng ml−1NO3-N (raised here to between 95–101 ng ml−1NO3-N) and 112 ng ml−1NH4+-N was sprayed onto illuminatedUsnea sphacelataat 2°C in a 2-1 capacity transparent perspex chamber force-ventilated with either air or O2- (and CO2-) free N2. The NO3-concentration in meltwater recirculated through a layer ofU. sphacelatafell toc. 8 ng ml−1after 1·25 h. Although the pattern of decline was broadly comparable in both air and N2, the initial rate of decline was lower in N2. When undepleted meltwater was continuously sprayed onto the lichen and the effluent collected for analysis, the lichen was found to retain 55% of the wet deposited NO3in air but only 27% under N2. Up to 90% of NH4+supplied in a continuous spray of meltwater was retained by the lichen but this was affected little by O2and CO2deprivation.  相似文献

The Laguna Madre of Texas is a hypersaline lagoon that in recent years has been dominated by the brown tide alga, Aureoumbra lagunensis although a Synechococcus -like sub-dominant is typically present. Dominance of A. lagunensis is thought to be due at least in part to its nitrogen competitive abilities. A mesocosm study was performed to determine if an increase in ambient nitrogen concentration would lead to a shift in the dominant alga. Twelve fiberglass cylinders enclosing 1.2 cubic meters of Laguna Madre water were deployed for 16 days. Four times during this period, ammonium was added (N+ mesocosms) to half the mesocosms to achieve a post-addition concentration of approximately 40 mM. The average initial particulate N/P ratio was 40/1 (SD = 2.9) which recent evidence indicates is within the range of N/P ratios for N-limited A. lagunensis. In control mesocosms, total cell biovolume (TCB) of A. lagunensis cells dropped after 4 days by a factor of four and then increased to a level slightly above the day 0 value by day 16. In N+ mesocosms, A. lagunensis TCB was unchanged after 4 days then doubled by day 16. Despite the differences in final yield, growth rates of A. lagunensis in the two treatments were similar. The Synechococcus -like organism, showed a four-day lag before TCB in both treatments increased although at a slower rate in the control mesocosms. By the end of the experiment, TCB of A. lagunensis was two to six-times greater than that of subdominant. Despite the nitrogen treatment, A. lagunensis retained dominance.  相似文献

A far-red effect exists in 4 marine phytoplankton species: the diatom Ditylum brightwelli, the coccolithophorid Coccolithus huxleyi, the green flagellate Dunaliella tertiolecta, and the dinoflagellate Pyrocystis lunula. The effect is reversible and is manifested through a change in cell division rate. Cultures of algae which received 30-min far-red (FR) light (750 nm) prior to the dark period were compared to controls which received, no FR. Reversal of the FR effect was studied by exposing experimental cultures to 30 min FR followed by 5-min red (R) light (650 nm) prior to the dark period. Controls received only FR. Cultures were exposed to light at 6 different enumerated wavelengths between 460 and 750 nm. A decrease in division rate runs evident only with light at 750 nm. These results give evidence for the presence of the phytochrome system in these phytoplankton species.  相似文献

Characteristics of carbon production, excretion and dark respiration, and nitrate uptake kinetics were studied using continuous culture techniques for Thalassiosira allenii Takano, Monorhrysis lutheri Droop and Dunaliella tertiolccta Butcher. Fur T. allenii. the ratio of dark C loss to daytime net C production varied between 0.1 and 0.2 over a growth rate range from ca. 0.005 to 0.06 h-1. For M. lutheri and D. tertiolecta. this same ratio varied belween 0.2 and 0.3 between growth rates of ca. 0.005 and 0.025 h-1, but declined at higher growth rates when the dark nitrate uptake capacity of the cells was exceeded by the pumping rate. Carbon excretion rates averaged less than 1.5% of daytime net C production rates. Productivity indices showed little correlation with growth rate, due to the significant poisitive correlation between chl a:C ratios and growth rate. Chlorophyll a:C ratios for T. allenii were less than 0.01 al growth rates less than 0.03 h-1, and appoached zero at zero growth rate. Dark nitrate maximum uptake rates for M. lutheri, D. tertiolecta and T. allenii averaged 23, 64 and 120%, respectively, of light nitrate maximum uptake rates. Excretion of nitrite was observed during most nitrate uptake experiments. This excretion reduced net uptake of nitrate spikes in the dark for M. lutheri and D. tertiolecta by 79 and 23%, respectively.  相似文献
