Acetone, ethanol and water extracts of mature fruits of yaupon (llex vomitoria Ait.) inhibited germination of mesquite (Prosopis juliflora Swartz DC. var. glandulosa (Torr.) Cockerell and sorghum (Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench). Extracts of guava fruit (Psidium guajava L.) inhibited cucumber (Cucumis sativus L.) seed germination. Water soluble inhibitors were found in fruits, leaves, roots and bark of several tropical species representing 10 different families. Strong inhibition of cucumber seed germination and growth did not occur in sand when water extracts containing inhibitors were applied. Growth of corn, sorghum, cucumber and bean was reduced in soils collected beneath Malay apple (Eugenia malaccensis L.) trees. Plant growth-inhibitors occurred in all species studied in various plant parts, and some apparently affect the growth and ecology of other plant species. 相似文献

The invertase inhibitory protein isolated from Cyphomandra betacea Sendt and Solanum tuberosum inhibited the invertase activity from different species, genera and even plant family. Furthermore, proteinaceous inhibitors are not invertase specific; fungal, bacterial and higher plant enzymes including polygalacturonase, pectinase, pectin lyase, α - l -arabinofuranosidase and β -glucosidase are also shown to be inhibited. Both inhibitors exhibited an in vitro antibacterial action against phytopathogenics strains of Xanthomonas campestris pvar vesicatoria CECT 792, Pseudomonas solanacearum CECT 125, Pseudomonas corrugata CECT 124, Pseudomonas syringae and Erwinia carotovora var carotovora. 相似文献

The inability of several obligately thermophilic bacteria to grow at or below 37°C in common laboratory media was shown to be caused by inhibitors present in these media. The inhibitors could be removed by extraction with chloroform and by adsorption on ion exchange resins or starch. It was concluded that they were of organic nature, probably bile acids. Four laboratory strains of Bacillus stearothcrtno-philus grew readily at 37°C in detoxified media. With one of them (NCA 1503) growth was obtained at 34–35°C. A fresh soil isolate having a minimum growth temperature of 40°C in glucose nutrient broth grew at 30°C in this medium after the inhibitors had been removed. 相似文献

Several analogs of abscisic acid (ABA) were prepared and their biological activities were assayed. Among the compounds tested, 5-(l, 2-epoxy-2, 6, 6-trimethyl-l-cyclohexyl)-, 5-(l-hydroxy-2, 6, 6-trimethyl-2-cyclohexen-l-yl)- and 5-(l-hydroxy-2-methylene-6, 6-dimethyl-l-cyclohexyl)-3-methyl-cis, trans-2, 4-pentadienoic esters (V, IX, XXIII and XXV) were found to be potent plant growth inhibitors. In the present study the interactions of GR24, a synthetic analog of newly discovered plant hormones strigolactones (SLs), with cytokinin (CK), benzyladenine (BA), auxin naphthaleneacetic acid (NAA), gibberellic acid (GA3) and abscisic acid (ABA) in the regulation of axillary bud growth in pea (Pisum sativum L.) were investigated. The hormones were applied directly to buds at node 1 and 2 and the dose-response experiments were performed on 8–10-day-old SL-deficient rms1 and rms5–1 mutants, branching SL-sensitive rms2–1 mutants and wild-type plants. In the mutant plants the treatment with 5 μM GR24 completely inhibited bud growth while BA up to 100 μM stimulated it. The combined application of GR24 and BA showed that GR24 efficiency to reduce bud outgrowth constantly declines as CK-stimulated bud growth increased, with the inhibiting effect of GR24 abolished at 100 μM BA applied. GA3 accelerated bud outgrowth, but did not interfere with GR24 inhibitory action. NAA reduced bud growth in intact SL-sensitive rms2–1 mutant and also in SL-insensitive rms3–2 and rms4–1 mutants. The NAA effect was observed already at 0.5 μM, however, even at a response saturating concentration of 500 μM its inhibiting effect was inferior to that of 5 μM GR24. At combined treatment the effectiveness of GR24 in suppressing bud growth decreased with a decrease in NAA-inhibited bud growth, suggesting that auxin might act as a suppressor of SL action. ABA strongly inhibited the bud outgrowth and, like CK and auxin, reduced the inhibitory effectiveness of GR24. The revealed ability of CK, ABA and auxin to suppress bud response to SLs is supposed to result from phytohormone signaling crosstalks. 相似文献

Chemical investigation of naturally occurring plant growth inhibitors from Rutaceous plants in Thailand led us to identify five 7-methoxycoumarins and one 5,7-dimethoxycoumarin from Murraya paniculata, and six furanocoumarins from Citrus aurantifolia. Of these compounds, murranganon senecioate (1) is a new natural compound found in M. paniculata. Minumicrolin (6) was found to be highly active against the 2nd leaf sheath elongation of rice seedlings. 相似文献

本文研究了几种植物激素对小球藻异养培养的影响。结果表明 ,IAA、IBA及 6_BA三种植物激素均不同程度地促进了小球藻的异养生长 ,培养≤ 36h时 ,IAA或IBA以 2 0mg/L的促进小球藻异养生长的效应最大 ,1 0 0mg/LIAA或IBA则抑制了藻的生长 ;>36h时 ,1 0 0mg/LIAA或IBA表现出促进小球藻生长的效应 ,并最终获最大净A540 增长量 ;6_BA以 0 1mg/L的促进作用最大。IBA与 6_BA组合同样表现出促进小球藻异养生长的效应 ,但并非IBA和 6_BA简单的加合效应 ,5mg/LIBA与 6_BA组合的效应维持 6_BA单因子的作用趋势 ,2 0mg/LIBA与 1mg/L 6_BA组合的效应大于与 0 .1mg/L 6_BA组合的 ,1 0 0mg/LIBA与 0 .1mg/L 6_BA组合的效应在≤ 36h时大于与 1mg/L 6_BA组合的 ,>36h时则相反。另外 ,高浓度IBA(≥ 2 0mg/L)与 6_BA组合抑制了前中期异养藻对葡萄糖的吸收 ,但加速了中后期葡萄的吸收。再者 ,IBA与 6_BA组合加速了异养小球藻对NO_3 的吸收。 相似文献

Drought is one of the most significant threats to world agriculture and hampers the supply of food and energy. The mechanisms of drought responses can be studied using resurrection plants that are able to survive extreme dehydration. As plant hormones function in an intensive cross-talk, playing important regulatory roles in the perception and response to unfavorable environments, the dynamics of phytohormones was followed in the resurrection plant Haberlea rhodopensis Friv. during desiccation and subsequent recovery. Analysis of both leaves and roots revealed that jasmonic acid, along with and even earlier than abscisic acid, serves as a signal triggering the response of the resurrection plants to desiccation. The steady high levels of salicylic acid could be considered an integral part of the specific set of parameters that prime H. rhodopensis desiccation tolerance. The dynamic changes of cytokinins and auxins suggest that these hormones actively participate in the dehydration response and development of desiccation tolerance in the resurrection plants. Our data contribute to the elucidation of a global complex picture of the resurrection plant’s ability to withstand desiccation, which might be successfully utilized in crop improvement. 相似文献

植物源调节剂是利用艾蒿为主要原料,首次用提取的混合物研制成的一种植物生长调节剂,使用80mg/L的植物源调节剂混合物水溶液,分别在水稻苗期、拔节期、孕穗期叶面喷洒,清水对照。结果表明:植物源调节剂使水稻增产11.38%,千粒重增加11.45%。株干重增加了17.1%。在灌浆期连续测定表明:相对于CK,穗粒重增加10.9%,叶绿素含量提高14.41%。品质分析结果为:可溶性糖含量提高15.57%、游离氨基酸含量提高18.52%、淀粉含量提高1.59%,可溶性蛋白质降低22.17%、粗纤维降低1.95%、粗脂肪降低1.22%。该植物源调节剂对水稻的生长和产量都有显著的促进效应。 相似文献

A method is described for estimating gibberellin levels in plantmaterial, using a separation method avoiding organic solvents.High molecular weight inhibitors were separated from growth-promotingfractions by column chromatography on Sephadex. Of the severalgrades of Sephadex tried, G15 was found to give the sharpestseparation. Ammonium chloride was included in the sample appliedto the column to increase the retention of anionic substances.The inhibitory effect of other substances, probably abscisicacid, which are eluted from the gel together with the gibberellins,was reversed by addition of kinetin to test solutions in thelettuce hypocotyl bioassay. Properties of a glutathione transport system in T. ferrooxidans strain AP-44 were investigated using a reduced form of 35S-glutathione (35S-GSH). About 71.2% of the total radioactivity taken up into the cells was distributed in the cytosol fraction. The amount of GSH taken up into the cells was in proportion to the amount of ferrous iron oxidized. However, a high concentration of silver ions (50 mm), which completely inhibited an iron-oxidizing activity, did not inhibit the GSH transport. The results suggest that GSH was transported by using a proton electrochemical gradient formed across the cytoplasmic membrane. Since growth inhibition by silver nitrate was decreased by the addition of GSH to both silver ion sensitive-cells and resistant-cells, the GSH transport system may play some role in the silver ion resistance mechanism of the bacterium. 相似文献

A potato tuber disk assay of culture broths which had been confirmed to show neither antibacterial nor phytotoxic activity resulted in the discovery of a novel type of crown gall formation inhibitors, julimycin B-II and julichrome Q1.3 These two bisanthraquinones, products of Streptomyces sp. The fungus Cercospora rosicola produces abscisic acid (ABA) as a secondary metabolite. We developed a convenient system using this fungus to determine the effects of compounds on the biosynthesis of ABA. Inasmuch as ABA and the gibberellins (GAs) both arise via the isoprenoid pathway, it was of interest to determine if inhibitors of GA biosynthesis affect ABA biosynthesis. All five putative inhibitors of GA biosynthesis tested inhibited ABA biosynthesis. Several plant growth retardants with poorly understood actions in plants were also tested; of these, six inhibited ABA biosynthesis to varying degrees and two had no effect. Effects of plant growth retardants on various branches of the isoprenoid biosynthetic pathway may help to explain some of the diverse and unexpected results reported for these compounds. Knowledge that certain inhibitors of GA biosynthesis also have the ability to inhibit ABA biosynthesis in C. rosicola indicates the need for further studies in plants on the mode of action of these compounds. 相似文献
