Although the guinea pig is characterized by precocial physical development and minimal active maternal care, studies suggest the presence of the mother can influence neuroendocrine and behavioral activity of offspring even well beyond weaning. Previous results may have been influenced by the procedure of housing weaned subjects with the mother to within 2 days of testing. The present study examined approximately 40-day-old guinea pigs housed apart from the mother for 0 (not rehoused), 2, or 10 days. Rehousing without the mother led to elevations in plasma testosterone (measured in males), progesterone (measured in females), cortisol, and adrenocorticotropin (ACTH) (both measured in males and females). Offspring housed without the mother for 10 days had the highest progesterone, cortisol, and ACTH levels. Testosterone elevations were observed in 2-day-, but not 10-day-, rehoused animals. Regardless of rehousing condition, 60 min isolation in a novel test cage elevated progesterone, cortisol, and ACTH, and reduced testosterone. These effects were all moderated if the subject was tested with the mother or another female. Sexual behavior toward the mother was observed frequently, but only in males housed apart from her prior to testing. Overall, males and females that had been housed apart from the mother interacted with her as they would an unfamiliar female. Our results corroborate previous findings, suggest the effect of housing apart from the mother on male testosterone is transitory, and indicate that continuous housing with the mother past weaning suppresses circulating progesterone in females and cortisol and ACTH in both sexes.  相似文献

Zebu cattle are notorious for poor fertility characterized by late maturity and long intercalving intervals attributed to a variety of factors, including genetic, nutritional and climatic. The aim of the present investigation, therefore, was to induce fertile estrus in acyclic pubertal heifers and postpartum anestrous Zebu cows by hormonal intervention. Pubertal Hariana and Sahiwal anestrous heifers (n=51) and postpartum cows (n=55) were either assigned a placebo (controls, N=6 for each breed and parity) or treated with 10-d norgestomet (3 mg) subcutaneous ear implants, with an initial injection of 3 mg, im norgestomet + 5 mg estradiol valerate, followed by 500 IU eCG at implant withdrawal (NOR-treated groups). Jugular venous plasma samples were obtained from a total of 28 animals (controls : 4 heifers and 4 cows; NOR-treated : 12 heifers and 8 cows) on Days 0 (implant insertion), 3, 7, 9 and Day 10 (implant withdrawal), every 12 h on Days 11 and 12, and then once daily on Days 17, 24 and 31. All the samples were assayed for progesterone. Almost all (97%) heifers and 81% cows were induced to estrus, the majority (92% heifers and 79% cows) within 120 h of implant removal. Synchrony of the induced estrus was better in cows, but interval to estrus and estrus duration were significantly longer in heifers (P<0.05). Post-treatment fertility, based on Day 28 nonretum rate, first service, and overall conception rates, was better in heifers (78.9, 60.5 and 73.7%, respectively) than cows (77.1, 48.6 and 62.9%, respectively), but the differences were significant only for the overall pregnancy rate (71.8% for heifers and 51.2% for cows; P<0.05). Low pre-treatment plasma progesterone values (<0.5ng/mL) were consistent with ovarian inactivity, confirming the true anestrus status of experimental animals. Controls failed to exhibit estrus and maintained low progesterone concentrations throughout the study. In treated animals, high progesterone values from Day 17 onwards suggested ovulatory estrus. These early luteal phase progesterone concentrations in nonpregnant (P=0.06) and nonpregnant, nonretum (P<0.05) animals were low in comparison with those of pregnant animals. Good fertility resulting from breeding according to estrus, inspite of variable intervals to estrus and estrus duration, advocates its advantage over fixed-time insemination in norgestomet-treated anestrous Zebu cattle.  相似文献

Thirty Yorkshire gilts were used to determine the influence of elevated ambient temperature during days 8 to 16 after breeding on concentrations of progesterone, corticoids and estradiol in plasma. Gilts were mated to a boar between 0800 and 1000 hr of the first day (day 0) and each subsequent day of estrus. On day 5 or 6, 22 gilts were anesthetized and a cannula was placed in the anterior vena cava. Gilts were randomly allotted to either control (23+/-1 C) or hot (35+/-1 C for 12 hr and 32+/-1 C for 12 hr daily) environmental chambers on day 8. Gilts were bled twice daily (0800 and 2000 hr) on days 9 through 16, then once daily until day 28. A third group of noncannulated gilts was bred and assigned to the control chamber. All cannulated gilts were injected intravenously with 25 IU of ACTH on day 16, and frequent blood samples were collected. Concentrations of progesterone in plasma were similar for heat-stressed and control gilts that were pregant. However, progesterone in plasma was reduced during days 13 to 19 in nonpregnant heat-stressed gilts compared to the pregnant and nonpregnant control gilts. Concentrations of estradiol in plasma were greater in nonpregnant heat-stressed gilts than in nonpregnant control and all pregnant gilts on days 10, 11 and 12 after estrus. Concentrations of corticoids and progesterone in plasma after infusion of ACTH on day 16 after breeding were reduced in heat-stressed nonpregnant gilts compared to heat-stressed pregnant, control pregnant and control nonpregnant gilts. These data indicate that reduced reproductive performance which occurs after exposure of gilts to increased ambient temperature during days 8 to 16 after breeding may be related to altered endocrine function.  相似文献

Progesterone is essential for maintaining pregnancy, and several authors have suggested that low peripheral concentrations of progesterone may be responsible for high rates of embryonic loss. The primary organ involved in the catabolism of progesterone is the liver, and cytochrome P450 2C and 3A sub-families account for a large proportion of this catabolism. Elucidating a mechanism to decrease progesterone catabolism, thereby increasing embryonic and uterine exposure to progesterone, seems a logical approach to ameliorate high rates of embryonic loss. The objectives of the current experiment were to determine the pattern of insulin secretion after supplementing feed with either sodium acetate or sodium propionate and to determine any association between the differential patterns of insulin secretion with the hepatic activity of cytochrome P450 2C and 3A and progesterone clearance. Sixteen ovariectomized ewes were fed 3 kg/day for 10 days of a diet consisting of 50% corn silage, 38% triticale haylage, 12% soybean meal and 600 ml of 3.5 M sodium acetate (energy control; n = 8) or 2.0 M sodium propionate (gluconeogenic substrate; n = 8). Equal portions of the ration (1 kg as-fed basis along with 200 ml of 3.5 M sodium acetate or 2.0 M sodium propionate) were offered three times daily at 0600, 1400 and 2200 h. Concentrations of insulin in plasma were determined immediately before feeding and at 15, 30, 60, 90, 120, 180, 240 and 300 min after feeding. Progesterone clearance from peripheral circulation (ng/ml per min) was measured by giving a 5 mg injection of progesterone into the left jugular vein and collecting blood via the right jugular vein at 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 15, 20 and 30 min afterwards. Liver biopsies were taken 1 h after feeding to determine cytochrome P450 2C and 3A activities. Insulin concentrations in ewes supplemented with sodium propionate were elevated at 15, 30 and 60 min after feeding compared to the sodium acetate group. Cytochrome P450 2C and 3A activities were decreased 1 h after feeding in the sodium propionate-treated ewes relative to sodium acetate. Insulin appears to down-regulate cytochrome P450 activity, which could be used to decrease the catabolism of progesterone during early gestation, thereby increasing peripheral concentrations of progesterone and, consequently, embryonic exposure to progesterone.  相似文献

Twenty-four gilts detected in estrus were fed a barley-soybean meal diet which was essentially free of vitamin A and β-carotene. At the second estrus, gilts were randomly assigned to be fed daily the same basal control diet (CON), CON + 8200 IU vitamin A in the diet (VIT), CON + 4100 IU vitamin A + 8.2 mg β-carotene in the diet (CAR), or VIT + 16.4 mg β-carotene injected intramuscularly every other day (INJ). All gilts were sham-bred at the third estrus (day 0). On day 15, uterine secretions were flushed and uterine protein fractions were quantified after sequential chromatographic separations on Sephadex G-200 and G-50. Acid phosphatase activity in uterine flushings was measured also. Results showed nonsignificant treatment differences in the number of corpora lutea, ovarian weight, length of the estrous cycle and concentrations of plasma progesterone on days 0, 3, 6, 9, 12 and 15. The amount of total secretory protein was not different among treatment groups. However, CON had the lowest quantity of serum-like proteins and uterine-specific proteins and in the total and specific acid phosphatase activities. Group INJ tended to have the highest amount of each uterine protein fraction examined. Thus, deficiencies in vitamin A and β-carotene decreased certain uterine protein components while injected β-carotene tended to have an opposite effect. Such differences in uterine proteins may influence embryonic survival in pigs.  相似文献

Two experiments were conducted with prepuberal gilts at 60, 120 and 160 days of age to a) determine the effect of 6-methoxybenzoxazolinone 6-MBOA) on reproductive plasma hormone concentrations and organ development, and b) determine how plasma follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH) concentrations before and after injection of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) or 6-MBOA varied in relation to ovarian development. In Exp. 1, 12 gilts were used in a 4×4 Latin square design. Four gilts/age group were injected once with: 1) vehicle, 2.5% propylene glycol in 50% ethanol, 2) 2 μg of GnRH/kg body weight (BW), 3) 0.2 mg of 6-MBOA/kg BW, and 4) 2 mg of 6-MBOA/kg BW on four successive days in random order. Blood was collected via indwelling vena cava catheters. Injection of GnRH into gilts increased plasma FSH and LH at each age compared with vehicle (P<0.05). Hormone profiles for FSH and LH differed among age groups (P<0.01), but area under curves did not differ significantly among age groups. Injection of 6-MBOA did not significantly affect plasma FSH and LH. Plasma FSH and LH before the GnRH injection or on days when GnRH was not injected were greater at 60 than at 120 and 160 days (FSH, 128 vs 54 and 42 ng/ml; LH, 0.38 vs 0.16 and 0.13 ng/ml for 60, 120 and 160 days, respectively (P<0.05). In Exp. 2, vehicle, 0.2 or 2 mg of 6-MBOA/kg BW were injected once daily for 7 days in 19 gilts. Injections of 6-MBOA had no detectable effects on gonadotropin secretion, ovarian development or uterine weight. Between 60 and 120 days of age, vesicular follicles developed, ovarian weight increased 20-fold, and uterine weight increased 10-fold (P<0.05); basal concentrations of plasma FSH and LH decreased three- and twofold, respectively.  相似文献

Gill Na+-K+-ATPase activities, haematocrits, condition factors, plasma osmolarities, cortisol, chloride and sodium concentrations were measured in sockeye salmon ( Oncorhynchus nerka ) transferred rapidly from fresh water to sea water. Comparisons were made between salmon that successfully adapted to sea water and salmon that failed to adapt. In salmon that successfully adapted to sea water there was a brief but large fluctuation in cortisol, and plasma ionic concentrations rose initially but were regulated after 24–48 h. In salmon that failed to adapt to sea water, cortisol remained elevated, haematocrit increased, plasma ionic concentrations were not regulated and the salmon became severely dehydrated and eventually died. The results are discussed with respect to physiological stress and seawater adaptation.  相似文献

In ewes, the uterine gland knockout (UGKO) phenotype is caused by neonatal exposure to norgestomet to arrest uterine gland development and produce an adult which has a uterus characterized by the lack of endometrial glands. Since endometrial glands in the sheep produce the lymphocyte-inhibitory protein, ovine uterine serpin (OvUS), an experiment was conducted with ewes of the UGKO phenotype to evaluate whether the inhibitory actions of progesterone on tissue rejection responses in utero are dependent upon the presence of endometrial glands. Control and UGKO ewes were ovariectomized and subsequently treated with either 100 mg/day progesterone or corn oil vehicle for 30 days. An autograft and allograft of skin were then placed in each uterine lumen and treatments were continued for an additional 30 days before grafts were examined for survival. All autografts survived and had a healthy appearance after histological analysis. Allografts were generally rejected in ewes treated with vehicle but were present for hormone-treated ewes, regardless of uterine phenotype. Analysis of the histoarchitecture and protein synthetic capacity of the uterus revealed that progesterone induced differentiation of endometrial glands and synthesis and secretion of OvUS in UGKO ewes. The UGKO ewes had reduced density of CD45R+ lymphocytes in the endometrial epithelium and there was a tendency for progesterone to reduce this effect in luminal epithelium. Taken together, results confirm the actions of progesterone to inhibit graft rejection response in utero. Responses of UGKO ewes to progesterone indicate that the hormone can induce de novo development and differentiation of endometrial glands, at least when skin grafts are in the uterus.  相似文献

Pregna-D'-pentaranes (pentaranes) are modified progesterones with demonstrable progestational activity and contraceptive effect. We have examined the steroid binding characteristics of the two newly synthesized progesterone analogs, Pentarane A (16, 17-cyclohexanoprogesterone) and Pentarane B (6-methyl, 16, 17-cyclohexanoprogesterone), and studied the nature of their interaction with progesterone receptor (PR) from the chicken oviduct and the calf uterine cytosols. Pregna-D'-pentaranes exhibited no affinity for the chick PR but interacted with the calf uterine PR as did R5020. The pentaranes, however, bound PR less tightly. R5020- or pentarane-bound PR sedimented as an 8S moiety in 8–30% linear glycerol gradients. Thermal transformation of receptor resulted in the reduction of the 8S form, and caused an increase in the binding of R5020-and progesterone-bound PR complexes to DNA-cellulose. The pentarane-bound PR bound poorly, if at all, to DNA-cellulose. Our data suggest that pentaranes exhibit both similarities and differences with natural and synthetic progestins with respect to their interaction with calf uterine PR. The lack of pentarane binding to chicken PR is reminiscent of the general phenomenon that antiprogestins (RU486, ZK98299, and Org 31710 and Org 31806) do not interact with chicken PR. Progesterone induced effect on rabbit uterus follows a log dosis endometrial glandular changes linear relationship and log dosis-organ weight one. It appears a strong correlation between endometrial changes and organ weight. Thus organ weight may be looked like a pseudogestative activity test, histological investigation remaining the actual proof of specific activity. Estrogen and progesterone, while regulating uterine functions, also regulate the number of caveolae and the level of caveolin. Large numbers of caveolae, as well as elevated expression of caveolin-1 and caveolin-2 isoforms in the myometrium of ovariectomised (OVX) rats were detected. 17beta-estradiol (E2) has a downregulating effect: the treatment of OVX rats with E2 (5 microg/animal) reduced the formation of caveolae by approx. 90%. Western blots clearly demonstrated the reduction of membrane caveolin-1 and -2 content. Progesterone treatment (2.5 mg/animal) alone did not cause any substantial change, but prevented the effect of estrogen. Control experiments showed that the quantity of Na+/K+-ATPase, a plasma membrane protein excluded from caveolae, was not downregulated by E2. The administration of the pure estrogen receptor (ERalpha) antagonist ICI 182,780 (1 mg/animal) not only compensated for the inhibitory effect of E2, but further increased the level of caveolin-1 in the myometrium of OVX rats and facilitated the formation of caveolae by approximately 70%. In contrast, the partial antagonist tamoxifen (1 mg/animal) mimicked the effect of estrogen. The amount of caveolin also changed during pregnancy. During the first half of pregnancy the expression of caveolin was suppressed, but it gradually increased until delivery. Our results indicate that the formation and number of caveolae are influenced by the physiological state of the uterus in a hormone dependent manner.  相似文献

Progesterone provides neuroprotection after spinal cord injury, but the molecular mechanisms involved in this effect are not completely understood. In this work, expression of two binding proteins for progesterone was studied in intact and injured rat spinal cord: the classical intracellular progesterone receptor (PR) and 25-Dx, a recently discovered progesterone membrane binding site. RT-PCR was employed to determine their relative mRNA levels, whereas cellular localization and relative protein levels were investigated by immunocytochemistry. We observed that spinal cord PR mRNA was not up-regulated by estrogen in contrast to what is observed in many brain areas and in the uterus, but was abundant as it amounted to a third of that measured in the estradiol-stimulated uterus. In male rats with complete spinal cord transection, levels of PR mRNA were significantly decreased, while those of 25-Dx mRNA remained unchanged with respect to control animals. When spinal cord-injured animals received progesterone treatment during 72 h, PR mRNA levels were not affected and remained low, whereas 25-Dx mRNA levels were significantly increased. Immunostaining of PR showed its intracellular localization in both neurons and glial cells, whereas 25-Dx immunoreactivity was localized to cell membranes of dorsal horn and central canal neurons. As the two binding proteins for progesterone differ with respect to their response to lesion, their regulation by progesterone, their cellular and subcellular localizations, their functions may differ under normal and pathological conditions. These observations point to a novel and potentially important role of the progesterone binding protein 25-Dx after injury of the nervous system and suggest that the neuroprotective effects of progesterone may not necessarily be mediated by the classical progesterone receptor but may involve distinct membrane binding sites.  相似文献

Blood and urine samples were collected weekly from an Asian elephant (Elephas maximus) for 10 months before conception, throughout pregnancy, and for 10 months after parturition. Additional daily samples were collected for 41 days before through 10 days after parturition to define endocrine events during the peripartum period. During gestation, serum progesterone concentrations increased gradually and, after ~13 weeks, were higher (P < 0.05) than those observed during the nonpregnant luteal phase. Concentrations peaked at ~12 months of gestation, gradually declined during the last month, and then decreased sharply to nondetectable levels 2 days before parturition. A 12 week lactational anestrus was observed before cyclicity resumed. The urinary profile of progestagen excretion paralleled that of circulating progesterone (r = 0.79; P < 0.05); however, radioimmunoassay of HPLC-separated fractions of urinary eluates indicated that this immunoactivity was not associated with native progesterone. After remaining basal through the first 16 weeks of gestation, serum prolactin concentrations increased to 100-fold about midterm and remained elevated until after parturition. Neither serum nor urinary cortisol concentrations were altered during pregnancy, but both increased markedly the day after parturition and remained elevated above prepartum levels for several weeks thereafter. These data indicate that analysis of serum prolactin can confirm pregnancy in the Asian elephant after ~4 months of gestation and that daily monitoring of serum or urinary progestagens is useful for predicting parturition. © 1995 Wiley-Liss, Inc.

    A total of 48 Duroc×(Landrace×Large White) gilts of 33.2 kg BW were used to investigate the influence of immunocastration and diet on growth performance and carcass, meat and fat quality. Four treatments were arranged factorially (2×2) with two sexes (immunocastrated gilts: IG v. entire gilts: EG) and two dietary treatments (a commercial feedstuff as control v. granulated barley as a single major ingredient) provided during the finishing period (from 103 to 126 kg BW). There were four replicates of three pigs per treatment. At the end of the trial, the IGs grew faster (P<0.05) and ate more feed (P<0.05) than the EGs. Carcasses from the IGs had thicker backfat depth than those from the EGs (P<0.01) and carried out a lower percentage of rejected carcasses (P<0.05) at slaughterhouse owing to lack of fat. Meat from the IGs tended to have higher intramuscular fat (IMF) content in the Longissimus thoracis (LT) muscle than that from the EGs (P=0.09). In addition, immunocastration increased the total saturated fatty-acid proportion in subcutaneous fat and IMF (P<0.001) and decreased the total monounsaturated fatty acid (MUFA) and total polyunsaturated fatty acid (PUFA) percentages in subcutaneous backfat (P<0.05 and P<0.001, respectively) and in IMF (P<0.01 and P=0.06, respectively). The use of a diet based on granulated barley during the finishing period had no effect on growth performance but tended to increase IMF content in the LT muscle (P<0.06), and increased MUFA (P<0.05) and decreased PUFA (P<0.01) proportions in omental fat. It is concluded that immunocastration of gilts intended for dry-cured ham industry improved some aspects of growth performance and carcass and meat quality, whereas granulated barley had scarce effect on productive traits and fatty-acid profile but tended to improve IMF content.  相似文献

    Immunocytochemical techniques were applied to brain and pituitary sections of European eels after experimental manipulation of the pituitary-interrenal activity. A corticotropin-releasing factor (CRF) antiserum allowed the identification of a CRF-like peptide in the preoptic nucleus (PON) and rostral and caudal neurohypophysis (NH). CRF-immunoreactivity (ir) was not affected in solvent-injected eels compared to noninjected eels. Reserpine induced a stimulation of the pituitary interrenal axis, decreased ir-CRF in the rostral NH, but did not affect hypothalamic ir-CRF. Cortisol reduced the immunostaining of hypothalamic CRF-ir perikarya and perikarya cross-sectional area. In the rostral NH, CRF-ir fibers decreased in number and almost disappeared in long-term treated eels. The immunostaining of ACTH cells with ACTH antiserum was greatly reduced. These data suggest that cortisol induces a marked reduction in the activity of the CRF-corticotrop axis. The intensity of the ir-CRF staining observed in the caudal NH, close to the intermediate lobe (IL) was not significantly affected in reserpine-treated eels, and only slightly reduced in long-term cortisol-treated eels. The intensity of ir-CRF staining in the caudal NH did not correlate with melanocorticotropic activity or plasma cortisol level. These data suggest that immunoreactive CRF fibers in the rostral and caudal NH are differently regulated.  相似文献

    Pregnant sows are exposed to various stressors in intensive pig husbandry that may have negative consequences on their health, reproductive performances and welfare. Social stress is one of these challenges, because gestating sows have to be housed in groups according to EU guidelines (2001/88/CE). The purpose of this study was to determine the consequences of repeated social stress in pregnant female pigs on their behavioural, endocrine and immunological responses and on pregnancy outcome. Pregnant gilts were submitted to a repeated social stress procedure induced by housing unfamiliar gilts in pairs changed twice a week between days 77 and 105 of gestation (S group, n = 18). Control gilts were housed in stable pairs during the same period (C group, n = 18). Agonistic behaviour was observed during the first 3 h after each grouping. Skin lesions were numbered 2 h after each grouping. Salivary cortisol was measured before and repeatedly during the 4 weeks of grouping. Gilts were immunized against keyhole limpet haemocyanin (KLH) on days 81 and 95 of gestation. Immunoglobulins G against KLH, proliferative responses to concanavalin A, lipopolysaccharide, pokeweed mitogen and KLH and peripheral blood leukocyte numbers were evaluated 1 week before the first grouping and 3 days after the last one. Agonistic interactions and skin lesions were observed in S gilts at each grouping, although there was a decline between the first and the last grouping (P < 0.05). The repeated social stress induced a sustained endocrine response as shown by elevated salivary cortisol levels from 1 to 48 h after grouping in S gilts compared to C gilts. The cellular as well as the humoral immunity and the leukocyte numbers were not influenced by social stress. Gestation length tended to be shorter in S gilts (P = 0.09), but litter size, piglet weight or mortality at birth were not affected. Variability of the response of S gilts to groupings was partly explained by their average success value determined according to the outcome (defeat or win) of all the groupings. In conclusion, our study demonstrates that the application of repeated social stress to pregnant gilts during the last third of their gestation repeatedly activates their hypothalamo–pituitary–adrenal axis but does not impair their immune function and pregnancy outcome.  相似文献

    A rapid increase in common carp Cyprinus carpio plasma cortisol levels was noted, in two experiments, after 30 mins of a 3 h net confinement, which was sustained while the fish were held in the nets. After release from the nets, cortisol levels returned to control values in 1 h. Plasma glucose and free fatty acid levels were elevated by the confinement. Glucose was increased after 30 min but returned to basal levels after 22 h of recovery while free fatty acids were not elevated until 3 h of confinement and remained high for the duration of the recovery period. After confinement for 3 h, plasma lactate levels were reduced and remained low for a further 1 h. No change in either plasma triglyceride or cholesterol levels were found during the study. Confinement had no effect on haematocrit levels but blood haemoglobin levels were reduced. In both experiments hypochloraemia occurred in response to confinement. However, values returned to pre-confinement levels 22 h after confinement. These results show that rearing isogenic carp strains, under identical conditions, results in a reproducable response to an acute stressor and that these carp respond in a similar manner to other teleost species.  相似文献

    The objective was to compare in the ewe the effects of easy and difficult procedures for artificial insemination (AI) (as related to rapid or poor accessibility of the cervix, respectively) on plasma cortisol (CORT) and oxytocin (OT), and uterine motility. All AI were simulated using a catheter empty of semen to study genital and environmental stimuli only. In experiment 1, 40 ewes were sampled after Al, and whether it was an easy or difficult procedure was reported for each animal. While CORT concentrations rose to a similar amount in all ewes, whatever the Al procedure, a significant OT response occurred after a difficult procedure only (n = 18) (17.4 +/- 1.7 versus 12.7 +/- 0.7 pg x mL(-1) before Al, p < 0.05). In experiment 2, uterine activity was monitored in 4 ewes using an implantable telemetric transmitter equipped with an intrauterine pressure catheter. An increased uterine activity occurred during 2 +/- 1 min after an easy Al (n = 5), whereas the evoked activity lasted for 15 +/- 4 min after a difficult Al (p < 0.001, n = 7). A similar long-lasting response occurred after OT administration (100 mIU, i.v.). We concluded that the increase in uterine motility after a difficult Al resulted from a reflex release of OT, and not to a "stress" effect.  相似文献
