Three new iridoids named as pediverticilatasin A – C ( 1 – 3 , resp.), together with five known iridoids ( 4 – 8 , resp.) were isolated from the whole plants of Pedicularis verticillata. The structures of three new compounds were identified as (1S,7R)‐1‐ethoxy‐1,5,6,7‐tetrahydro‐7‐hydroxy‐7‐methylcyclopenta[c]pyran‐4(3H)‐one ( 1 ), (1S,4aS,7R,7aS)‐1‐ethoxy‐1,4a,5,6,7,7a‐hexahydro‐7‐hydroxy‐7‐methylcyclopenta[c]pyran‐4‐carboxylic acid ( 2 ), (1S,4aS,7R,7aS)‐1‐ethoxy‐1,4a,5,6,7,7a‐hexahydro‐7‐hydroxy‐7‐methylcyclopenta[c]pyran‐4‐carbaldehyde ( 3 ). Their structures were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic methods and compared with the NMR spectra data in the literature. All compounds were evaluated for their anti‐complementary activity on the classical pathway of the complement system in vitro. Among which, compounds 1 , 3 , and 6 exhibited anti‐complementary effects with CH50 values ranging from 0.43 to 1.72 mm , which are plausible candidates for developing potent anti‐complementary agents.  相似文献

Piptadenin ( 1 ), a new triterpene along with piptadenamide ( 10 ), a new ceramide, have been isolated from the AcOEt‐soluble fraction of the MeOH extract of the stem bark of Piptadeniastrum africanum along with nine known compounds, 1‐O‐[(3β,22β)‐3,22‐dihydroxy‐28‐oxoolean‐12‐en‐28‐yl]‐β‐d ‐glucopyranose ( 2 ), 22β‐hydroxyoleanic acid ( 3 ), oleanic acid ( 4 ), lupeol ( 5 ), betulinic acid ( 6 ), 5α‐stigmasta‐7,22‐dien‐3β‐ol ( 7 ), 5α‐stigmasta‐7,22‐dien‐3‐one ( 8 ), (3β)‐stigmast‐5‐en‐3‐yl β‐d ‐glucopyranoside ( 9 ) and 2,3‐dihydroxypropyl hexacosanoate ( 11 ). Except for compound 11 , all the isolated compounds are reported for the first time from this plant. The structures of the isolated compounds were elucidated by spectroscopic data including 1D and 2D NMR. The pure compounds 1 – 11 were subjected to the pharmacological screening and compounds 2 , 5 – 7 and 9 exhibited potent urease inhibitory activity with IC50 value of 25.8, 28.9, 30.1, 31.8 and 32.7 μm , respectively, whereas compound 1 showed moderate activity (IC50 = 98.7 μm ). The potent urease inhibitory activity supplemented the previous literature reports and medicinal uses of this plant.  相似文献

Using various chromatographic methods, a new hexacyclic triterpenoid, 2β,3β,24β‐trihydroxy‐12,13‐cyclotaraxer‐l4‐en‐28oic acid ( 1 ), together with ten known compounds, 2α,3α,23‐trihydroxyurs‐12,20(30)‐dien‐28oic acid ( 2 ), 6,7‐dehydroroyleanone ( 3 ), horminone ( 4 ), 7‐O‐methylhorminone ( 5 ), sugiol ( 6 ), demethylcryptojaponol ( 7 ), 14‐deoxycoleon U ( 8 ), 5,6‐didehydro‐7‐hydroxy‐taxodone ( 9 ), ferruginol ( 10 ), and dichroanone ( 11 ), were isolated from the roots of Salvia deserta. Their structures were identified on the basis of spectroscopic analysis and comparison with the reported data. The individual compounds ( 1 , 3  –  8 ) were screened for cytotoxic activity, using the sulforhodamine B bioassay (SRB) method. As the results, Compounds 3 , 5 , and 8 showed cytotoxic potency against A549, MDA‐MB‐231, KB, KB‐VIN, and MCF7 cell lines with IC50 values ranging from 6.5 to 10.2 μm .  相似文献

Three new compounds ( 1 – 3 ), including two euphane type triterpenes, 24,24‐dimethoxy‐25,26,27‐trinoreuphan‐3β‐ol ( 1 ) and (24S)‐24‐hydroperoxyeupha‐8,25‐dien‐3β‐ol ( 2 ), and an ent‐atisine diterpene, ent‐atisane‐3α,16α,17‐triol ( 3 ), were isolated from an acetone extract of the stems of Euphorbia antiquorum, together with eight known diterpenes ( 4 – 11 ). The structures of compounds ( 1 – 11 ) were elucidated using NMR and MS spectroscopic methods. Compound 7 showed moderate activity against HIV‐1 replication in vitro (EC50 = 1.38 μm ).  相似文献

Three new oplopane sesquiterpenes, knorringianalarins D – F ( 1 – 3 , respectively), and five known analogues ( 4 – 8 , respectively), were isolated from the roots and rhizomes of Ligularia knorringiana. The structures of three new compounds were identified as 4‐acetoxy‐11α,12‐epoxy‐2β‐hydroxy‐3β‐(2‐methylbutyryloxy)‐9α‐(4‐methylsenecioyloxy)oplop‐10(14)‐ene ( 1 ), 3β,4‐diacetoxy‐9α‐(4‐acetoxy‐4‐methylsenecioyloxy)‐11α,12‐epoxy‐8α‐(2‐methylbutyryloxy)oplop‐10(14)‐ene ( 2 ), and (1R,5R,6R,7R,9R)‐5,9,11‐trihydroxy‐4,15‐dinoroplop‐10(14)‐en‐3‐one ( 3 ) based on spectroscopic methods including 1D‐ and 2D‐NMR, mass spectrometry, and CD spectroscopy techniques. All compounds were evaluated for their anti‐complementary activity on the classical pathway of the complement system in vitro. Among which, three oplopane sesquiterpenes ( 3 , 7 , and 8 ) exhibited better anti‐complementary effects with CH50 values ranging from 0.33 to 0.89 mm , which are plausible candidates for developing potent anti‐complementary agents.  相似文献

Antimicrobial‐directed phytochemical investigation of the MeOH extract of Drypetes staudtii afforded two new compounds, 4,5‐(methylenedioxy)‐o‐coumaroylputrescine ( 1 ), 4,5‐(methylenedioxy)‐o‐coumaroyl‐4′‐N‐methylputrescine ( 2 ), along with seven known natural products 4α‐hydroxyeremophila‐1,9‐diene‐3,8‐dione ( 3 ), drypemolundein B ( 4 ), friedelan‐3β‐ol ( 5 ), erythrodiol ( 6 ), ursolic acid ( 7 ), p‐coumaric acid ( 8 ), and β‐sitosterol ( 9 ). Structures of compounds 1 – 9 were elucidated with the aid of extensive NMR and mass spectral studies. All of the isolates exhibited antibacterial activity against Gram‐positive and Gram‐negative bacteria with minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) in the range of 8 – 128 μg/ml. Compounds 1 – 2 were also moderately active against Candida albicans with an MIC value of 32 μg/ml.  相似文献

Phytochemical investigation on the barks of Betula platyphylla var. japonica (Betulaceae) was carried out, resulting in the isolation and identification of three new triterpenoids, 27‐Ocis‐caffeoylcylicodiscic acid ( 1 ), 27‐Ocis‐feruloylcylicodiscic acid ( 2 ), and 27‐Ocis‐caffeoylmyricerol ( 3 ), along with six known triterpenoids, obtusilinin ( 4 ), winchic acid ( 5 ), 27‐Otrans‐caffeoylcylicodiscic acid ( 6 ), uncarinic acid E ( 7 ), myriceric acid B ( 8 ), and 3‐Otrans‐caffeoyloleanolic acid ( 9 ). The structures of the new compounds were elucidated by extensive spectroscopic methods, including 1D‐ and 2D‐NMR, and HR‐ESI‐MS. All of the isolated compounds were evaluated for cytotoxicity against four human tumor cell lines (A549, SK‐OV‐3, SK‐MEL‐2, and Bt549). Compounds 2 , 6 , 8 , and 9 exhibited potent cytotoxicity against all of the tumor cells tested (IC50 < 10.0 μm ), while compounds 3 , 4 , 5 , and 7 showed moderate cytotoxicity against all of the tumor cells tested (IC50 < 20.0 μm ).  相似文献

Using various chromatographic methods, a new piperidinone alkaloid, (3S)‐3‐{4‐[(1E)‐3‐hydroxyprop‐1‐en‐1‐yl]‐2‐methoxyphenoxy}piperidin‐2‐one ( 1 ), together with 10 known compounds, bergapten ( 2 ), xanthotoxol ( 3 ), isopimpinellin ( 4 ), isobergapten ( 5 ), heratomol‐6‐Oβ‐d ‐glucopyranoside ( 6 ), scopoletin ( 7 ), apterin ( 8 ), 3‐methoxy‐4‐β‐d ‐glucopyranosyloxypropiophenone, (praeroside; 9 ), tachioside ( 10 ) and coniferin ( 11 ), were isolated from roots of Heracleum dissectum Ledeb . Their structures were elucidated on the basis of physicochemical properties and the detailed interpretation of various spectroscopic data. All the isolated compounds were screened for anti‐inflammatory activity in vitro. As the results, compound 1 and 8 showed significantly inhibitory activity on nitric oxide production in RAW264.7 cells.  相似文献

A new bibenzyl, 2′‐hydroxy‐3,5‐dimethoxy‐4‐methylbibenzyl ( 1 ) and four known compounds identified as 2′‐hydroxy‐3,5‐dimethoxybibenzyl ( 2 ), liquiritigenin ( 3 ), guibourtinidol ( 4 ) and fisetinidol ( 5 ) were isolated from the roots of Bauhinia ungulata L. Phytochemical investigations of the stems of Bungulata led to the isolation of the known compounds identified as liquiritigenin ( 3 ), guibourtinidol ( 4 ), fisetinidol ( 5 ), taraxerol ( 6 ), betulinic acid ( 7 ), taraxerone ( 8 ), glutinol ( 9 ), a mixture of sitosterol ( 10 ) and stigmasterol ( 11 ), pacharin ( 12 ), naringenin ( 13 ) and eriodictyol ( 14 ). The structures of these compounds were elucidated on the basis of their spectral data (IR, MS, 1D‐ and 2D‐NMR). The cytotoxicity of the bibenzyl 1 has been evaluated against four human cancer cell lines, showing the IC50 values of 4.3 and 6.5 μg ml?1 against pro‐myelocytic leukemia (HL‐60) and cervical adenocarcinoma (HEP‐2) cell lines, respectively. Four new ( 1 – 4 ) and thirteen known ( 5 – 17 ) compounds were isolated from a rare cliff plant, Oresitrophe rupifraga. Based on spectroscopic evidence, the new structures were established to be [(2S,3R,4R)‐4‐(4‐methoxybenzyl)‐2‐(4‐methoxyphenyl)‐tetrahydrofuran‐3‐yl]methanol ( 1 ), (3α)‐23‐(acetyloxy)‐3‐hydroxyolean‐12‐en‐29‐oic acid ( 2 ), 3α,23‐(isopropylidenedioxy)olean‐12‐en‐29‐oic acid ( 3 , artifact of isolation), and (3β,15β)‐3‐hydroxycholest‐5‐en‐15‐yl β‐d ‐glucopyranoside ( 4 ), respectively. Among the isolates, compounds 1 , 4 , epieudesmin ( 7 ), and 1‐O‐(9Z,12Z,15Z‐octadecatrienoyl)glycerol ( 17 ) were found to show significant antineuroinflammatory effects by inhibiting the NO production in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)‐stimulated murine BV‐2 microglial cells, with IC50 values of 7.21, 9.39, 4.96, and 8.51 μm , respectively.  相似文献

Three new lignans ( 1 – 3 ), together with four new thymoquinol glycosides ( 4 – 7 ), were isolated from 70%‐EtOH extract of the rattan stems of Schisandra chinensis. The structures of 1 – 7 were elucidated by detailed spectroscopic analyses, and these new compounds were identified as pinobatol‐9‐Oβ‐d ‐glucopyranoside ( 1 ), 1,2,13,14‐tetramethoxydibenzocyclooctadiene 3,12‐Oβ‐d ‐diglucopyranoside ( 2 ), 3,7‐dihydroxy‐1,2,13,14‐tetramethoxydibenzocyclooctadiene 12‐Oβ‐d ‐glucopyranoside ( 3 ), thymoquinol 2‐Oβ‐d ‐apiofuranosyl‐(1→6)‐β‐d ‐glucopyranoside ( 4 ), thymoquinol 2‐Oα‐d ‐arabinofuranosyl‐(1→6)‐β‐d ‐glucopyranoside ( 5 ), thymoquinol 5‐Oβ‐d ‐apiofuranosyl‐(1→6)‐β‐d ‐glucopyranoside ( 6 ), and thymoquinol 5‐Oα‐d ‐arabinofuranosyl‐(1→6)‐β‐d ‐glucopyranoside ( 7 ). The neuroprotective activity of 1 – 7 was evaluated on PC12 cells with neurotoxicity induced by amyloid‐beta 1 – 42 (Aβ1 – 42). Compounds 2 and 3 showed protecting activity against Aβ‐induced toxicity in PC12 cells.  相似文献

Phaeanthus vietnamensis Bân is a well‐known medicinal plant which has been used for the treatment of various inflammatory diseases in traditional medicine. Using various chromatographic methods, three new compounds, (7S,8R,8′R)‐9,9′‐epoxy‐3,5,3′,5′‐tetramethoxylignan‐4,4′,7‐triol ( 1 ), 8α‐hydroxyoplop‐11(12)‐en‐14‐one ( 5 ), and (1R,2S,4S)‐4‐acetyl‐2‐[(E)‐(cinnamoyloxy)]‐1‐methylcyclohexan‐1‐ol ( 12 ) along with twelve known compounds were isolated from the leaves of Pvietnamensis. Their chemical structures were elucidated by physical and chemical methods. All compounds were evaluated for the inhibitory activities of nitric oxide production in LPS‐stimulated BV2 cells. As the results, compound 6 showed the most potent inhibitory activity on LPS‐stimulated NO production in BV2 cells with the IC50 values of 15.7 ± 1.2 μm . Compounds 2 , 7 , and 8 significantly inhibited inflammatory NO production with IC50 values ranging from 22.6 to 25.3 μm .  相似文献

Seven phenolic compounds, 1 – 7 , including a new organic acid gallate, mucic acid 1‐ethyl 6‐methyl ester 2‐O‐gallate ( 7 ), were isolated from the MeOH extract of the fruits of Phyllanthus emblica L. (Euphorbiaceae). The structures were elucidated on the basis of extensive spectroscopic analysis and comparison with literature data. Upon evaluated for their antioxidant abilities by 1,1‐diphenyl‐2‐picrylhydrazyl (DPPH), 2,2′‐azinobis(3‐ethylbenzthiazoline‐6‐sulfonic acid) (ABTS), and ferric reducing antioxidant power (FRAP) assays. The inhibitory activities against melanogenesis in B16 melanoma cells induced by α‐MSH, as well as cytotoxic activities against four human cancer cell lines were also evaluated. All phenolic compounds, 1 – 7 , exhibited potent antioxidant abilities (DPPH: IC50 5.6 – 12.9 μm ; ABTS: 0.87 – 8.43 μm Trolox/μm ; FRAP: 1.01 – 5.79 μm Fe2+/μm , respectively). Besides, 5 – 7 , also exhibited moderate inhibitory activities against melanogenesis (80.7 – 86.8% melanin content), even with no or low toxicity to the cells (93.5 – 101.6% cell viability) at a high concentration of 100 μm . Compounds 1 – 3 exhibited cytotoxic activity against one or more cell lines (IC50 13.9 – 68.4%), and compound 1 with high tumor selectivity for A549 (SI 3.2).  相似文献

Six new polyhydroxysteroidal glycosides, anthenosides S1  –  S6 ( 1  –  6 ), along with a mixture of two previously known related glycosides, 7 and 8 , were isolated from the methanolic extract of the starfish Anthenea sibogae. The structures of 1  –  6 were established by NMR and HR‐ESI‐MS techniques as well as by chemical transformations. All new compounds have a 5α‐cholest‐8(14)‐ene‐3α,6β,7β,16α‐tetrahydroxysteroidal nucleus and differ from majority of starfish glycosides in positions of carbohydrate moieties at C(7) and C(16) ( 1  –  4 , 6 ) or only at C(16) ( 5 ). The 4‐O‐methyl‐β‐d ‐glucopyranose residue ( 2 ) and Δ24‐cholestane side chain ( 3 ) have not been found earlier in the starfish steroidal glycosides. The mixture of 7 and 8 slightly inhibited the proliferation of human breast cancer T‐47D cells and decreased the colony size in the colony formation assay.  相似文献

A phytochemical study of Pavonia multiflora A. St ‐Hil . (Malvaceae) led to the isolation through chromatographic techniques of 10 secondary metabolites: vanillic acid ( 1 ), ferulic acid ( 2 ), p‐hydroxybenzoic acid ( 3 ), p‐coumaric acid ( 4 ), loliolide ( 5 ), vomifoliol ( 6 ), 4,5‐dihydroblumenol A ( 7 ), 3‐oxo‐α‐ionol ( 9 ), blumenol C ( 10 ), and taraxerol 4‐methoxybenzoate ( 8 ), the latter being a novel metabolite. Their structures were identified by 1H‐ and 13C‐NMR, using one‐ and two‐dimensional techniques, and X‐ray crystallography. In this work, we report the effect of compounds 5 and 8 on several photosynthetic activities in an attempt to search for new compounds as potential herbicide agents that affect photosynthesis. Both compounds inhibited the electron flow from H2O to methyl viologen; therefore, they act as Hill reaction inhibitors. Using polarographic techniques and studies of the fluorescence of chlorophyll a, the interaction sites of these compounds were located at photosystem II.  相似文献

A new sesquilignan, euonymolin A ( 1 ), and six known lignans, (?)‐de‐O‐methylmagnolin ( 2 ), (+)‐de‐O‐methylepimagnolin A ( 3 ), (+)‐syringaresinol ( 4 ), (+)‐pinoresinol ( 5 ), (+)‐medioresinol ( 6 ), and (+)‐lariciresinol 4′‐Oβ‐d ‐glucopyranoside ( 7 ), were isolated from the twigs of Euonymus alatus (Thunb .) Siebold (Celastraceae). The structures of the isolated compounds were elucidated based on spectroscopic analyses, including extensive 1D‐ and 2D‐NMR techniques, HR‐MS analysis and circular dichroism (CD) data, and the literature data. All of the isolated compounds were evaluated for antiproliferative activity against A549, SK‐OV‐3, SK‐MEL‐2, and HCT‐15 cell lines and inhibition of nitric oxide (NO) production in a lipopolysaccharide (LPS)‐activated BV2 cell line. All compounds showed cytotoxicity against the SK‐MEL‐2 cell line with IC50 values of 23.24 – 48.14 μm and inhibited NO production in LPS‐activated BV‐2 cells with IC50 values of 6.75 – 23.53 μm .  相似文献

Four limonoids, 1  –  4 , five alkaloids, 5  –  9 , and four phenolic compounds, 10  –  13 , were isolated from a MeOH extract of the bark of Phellodendron amurense (Rutaceae). Among these, compound 13 was new, and its structure was established as rel‐(1R,2R,3R)‐5‐hydroxy‐3‐(4‐hydroxy‐3‐methoxyphenyl)‐6‐methoxy‐1‐(methoxycarbonylmethyl)indane‐2‐carboxylic acid methyl ester (γ‐di(methyl ferulate)) based on the spectrometric analysis. Upon evaluation of compounds 1  –  13 against the melanogenesis in the B16 melanoma cells induced with α‐melanocyte‐stimulating hormone (α‐MSH), four compounds, limonin ( 1 ), noroxyhydrastinine ( 6 ), haplopine ( 7 ), and 4‐methoxy‐1‐methylquinolin‐2(1H)‐one ( 8 ), exhibited potent melanogenesis‐inhibitory activities with almost no toxicity to the cells. Western blot analysis revealed that compound 6 inhibited melanogenesis, at least in part, by inhibiting the expression of protein levels of tyrosinase, TRP‐1, and TRP‐2 in α‐MSH‐stimulated B16 melanoma cells. In addition, when compounds 1  –  13 were evaluated for their cytotoxic activities against leukemia (HL60), lung (A549), duodenum (AZ521), and breast (SK‐BR‐3) cancer cell lines, five compounds, berberine ( 5 ), 8 , canthin‐6‐one ( 9 ), α‐di‐(methyl ferulate) ( 12 ), and 13 , exhibited cytotoxicities against one or more cancer cell lines with IC50 values in the range of 2.6 – 90.0 μm . In particular, compound 5 exhibited strong cytotoxicity against AZ521 (IC50 2.6 μm ) which was superior to that of the reference cisplatin (IC50 9.5 μm ).  相似文献

The arial parts of Scutellaria barbata D. Don (Lamiaceae) efficiently inhibited NO production in BV2 microglial cells, and the active constituents were further isolated based on activity‐guided isolation using silica‐gel column chromatography, RP‐C18 MPLC and prep‐HPLC. As the results, 2 flavonoids including 6‐methoxynaringenin ( 1 ) and 6‐O‐methylscutellarein ( 5 ), and 6 neo‐clerodane diterpenes such as scutebarbatine W ( 2 ), scutebatas B ( 3 ), scutebarbatine B ( 4 ), scutebarbatine A ( 6 ), 6‐O‐nicotinolylscutebarbatine G ( 7 ), and scutebarbatine X ( 8 ) were isolated. The structures of these compounds were elucidated based on NMR and MS data, and the comparison of literature values. All the compounds except compound 7 inhibited NO production efficiently with IC50 values of lower than 50 μm . Particularly, compounds 1 and 8 were the most efficient with IC50 values of 25.8 and 27.4 μm , respectively. This is the first report suggesting the potential of S. barbata on the reduction of neuroinflammation.  相似文献

In our continuing program to find new bioactive compounds from the Chinese liverworts, four new kaurane‐type diterpenoids, (6β)‐kaur‐16‐ene‐6,9‐diol ( 1 ), (6β,12β)‐kaur‐16‐ene‐6,9,12‐triol ( 2 ), (6β)‐kaur‐16‐ene‐5,6,9‐triol ( 3 ), and kaur‐16‐ene‐9,19‐diol ( 4 ), have been isolated from the Chinese liverwort Jungermannia comata Nees . Five known kaurane‐type diterpenoids ( 5  –  9 ) and four known trachylobane‐type diterpenoids ( 10  –  13 ) were also obtained. The structures of the new compounds were established unequivocally on the basis of spectroscopic data. The absolute configuration of compound 1 was established by comparing experimental and calculated electronic circular dichroism spectra.  相似文献
