Luminescent platinum(II) bis(pyrazolyl)borate complexes bearing orthometalated phenylpyridines (based on 2-phenylpyridine, 3-hexyloxy-2-phenylpyridine and (4-(pyridine-2-yl)-phenyl)methanol) and bis(pyrazolyl)borate ligands (employed as potassium dihydridobis(pyrazolyl)borate and potassium dihydridobis(3,5-dimethylpyrazolyl)borate) have been synthesized and characterized. By reaction of K2PtCl4 with phenylpyridine ligands a precursor has been obtained which was further converted to the corresponding heteroleptic complexes. All platinum(II) bis(pyrazolyl)borate complexes have been investigated by nuclear magnetic resonance, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, thermal analysis and UV-Vis absorption spectroscopy. Luminescence as well as lifetime measurements in solution and in the solid state have been performed to establish a qualitative relationship between structure and luminescence properties. The absorption and emission properties of these complexes are governed by the nature of the orthometalating ligand with emission maxima ranging from 488 to 551 nm. Emission spectra at room temperature show well-resolved vibronic fine structures and a strong spin-orbit coupling. For the compounds under investigation the mixing of the excited states leads to apparent lifetimes in the microsecond regime (5.7-8.6 μs), rendering these materials phosphorescent.  相似文献

In this paper, a series of 4,5-diazafluoren-9-one-derived (Dafo-derived) diimine ligands and their corresponding Cu(I) complexes with bis(2-(diphenylphosphanyl)phenyl) ether as the auxiliary ligand are synthesized. Relationships between diimine ligands and photophysical properties of their corresponding Cu(I) complexes are discussed in detail. It is found that the introduction of an electron-donor moiety into one diimine ligand leads to a dramatic red shift of the absorption of corresponding Cu(I) complex, while, an electron-acceptor moiety demonstrates no obvious effect on Cu(I) complex absorption when introduced into diimine ligand. In addition, it is found that the intraligand charge transfer of Dafo-derived ligands acts as an efficient luminescence quencher within their corresponding Cu(I) complexes, leading to luminescence absence from metal-to-ligand-charge-transfer (MLCT) excited state.  相似文献

The lipocalins, a diverse family of small extracellular ligand proteins, display a remarkable range of different molecular properties. While their binding of small hydrophobic molecules, and to a lesser extent their binding to cell surface receptors, is well known, it is shown here that formation of macromolecular complexes is also a common feature of this family. Analysis of known crystallographic structures reveals that the lipocalins process a conserved common structure: an antiparallel β-barrel with a repeated +1 topology. Comparisons show that within this overall similarity the structure of individual proteins is specifically adapted to bind their particular ligands, forming a binding site from an internal cavity (within the barrel) and/or an external loop scaffold, which gives rise to different binding modes that reflects the need to accommodate ligands of different shape, size, and chemical structure. The architecture of the lipocalin fold suggests that the both the ends and sides of this barrel are topologically distinct, differences also apparent in analyses of structural and sequence variation within the family. These different can be linked to experimental evidence suggesting a possible functional dichotomy between the two ends of the lipocalin fold. The structurally invariant end of the molecule may be implicated in general binding small ligands and forming macromolecular complexes via an exposed binding surface.  相似文献

The formation of ternary complexes involving serine proteases, borate, and an alcohol has important implications for understanding the physiological actions of borate and for the development of tight binding inhibitors for this class of enzymes. Recent studies of a related enzyme, gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase, which is subject to inhibition by a labile serine/borate mixture, have demonstrated that construction of a non-labile boronate analogue results in an inhibitor with nearly 10(5)-fold greater potency. To evaluate the generalization of this biochemistry to serine proteases, we have observed the ternary complex formed from 4-aminobutanol, borate, and trypsin. A combination of (11)B and (1)H NMR and spectrophotometric assays using acetylarginine p-nitroanilide (Ac-Arg-pNA) as the chromogenic substrate all indicate a cooperative binding interaction in which the borate is esterified by the oxygen atoms of the 4-aminobutanol and trypsin residue Ser(195). Two downfield-shifted proton resonances at 15.5 and 16.6 ppm are proposed to arise from the labile imidazolium protons on His(57), indicating a salt bridge interaction with the negatively charged borate. A cooperativity parameter alpha of 0.2 is derived from the assays. These results provide the first direct evidence for formation of a ternary complex involving a serine protease, borate, and an alcohol, and suggest that this represents a general approach for the development of tight binding ligands.  相似文献

Using vanadate, poly(1H-pyrazol-1-yl)borate and pyrazole as starting materials, two new neutral peroxovanadium(V) complexes with poly(1H-pyrazol-1-yl)borate, VO(O(2))(pzH)(HB(pz)(3))(1) and VO(O(2))(pzH)(B(pz)(4))(2), were synthesized successfully. Both complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, IR, UV-vis and NMR spectra. And the structure of complex 1 was determined by X-ray diffraction, which is somewhat relevant for haloperoxidase enzymes. Cytotoxic effects also are discussed on 3T3 cell proliferation. In the concentration range (0.1-100mumol), both complexes have an inhibiting cellular proliferation effect. When the cells cultivated with the complexes at high dose, the toxicity effect of both complexes is more and more predominant.  相似文献

Platinum-based drugs have been widely used in cancer treatment. However, their severe side effects have limited their use. So, researchers have been striving to find compounds with fewer side effects and greater efficacy, to overcome these drawbacks. Here, the cytotoxicity of platinum(II) complexes containing 2-(diphenylphosphino)pyridine ligands have been studied on human lung (A549), ovarian (SKOV3), breast (MCF-7) cancer, and normal breast (MCF-10A) cell lines. The most potent compound exhibits a marked cell growth-inhibitory effect against ovarian and lung cancer cells with IC50 values of 9.41 and 5.58 μM, respectively, which were significantly better than that observed for cisplatin (19.02, and 8.64 μM). Additionally, all complexes achieved significantly lower cytotoxicity towards MCF-10A. To investigate the interaction of complexes with DNA, an electrophoresis mobility shift assay was conducted, which indicated that complexes bind to DNA and affect its electrophoretic mobility. An analysis of apoptosis in A549 cells supported the conclusion that they inhibits cell proliferation via induction of apoptosis in a concentration-dependent manner. Molecular docking was also used to investigate the interactions of compounds with different DNA structures. These compounds have the ability to be a suitable pharmaceutical compound with further investigations in the field of cancer research.  相似文献

Tris(triazolyl)borate (Ttz) ligands are sterically similar to tris(pyrazolyl)borate (Tp) but complexes of Ttz show improved solubility in water and alcohols due to their propensity for forming hydrogen bonds. Recently developed bulky tris(triazolyl)borate ligands can produce four and five coordinate transition metal complexes and serve as models for enzyme active sites in an aqueous environment. Herein we report the synthesis of such complexes, i.e. (TtztBu,Me)ZnCl, (TtztBu,Me)ZnBr, (TtztBu,Me)NiCl, and (TtztBu,Me)CuCl, which were analyzed by X-ray crystallographic and spectroscopic methods [TtztBu,Me = tris(3-t-butyl-5-methyl-1,2,4-triazolyl)borate]. (TtztBu,Me)ZnCl crystallizes as two different polymorphs with cubic and monoclinic symmetry. Both polymorphs of (TtztBu,Me)ZnCl and (TtztBu,Me)ZnBr have tetrahedral zinc atoms whereas the geometries at the metal in (TtztBu,Me)NiCl and (TtztBu,Me)CuCl are distorted tetrahedral. All complexes are methanol soluble and they also dissolve in methanol/water mixtures with up to 60% water.  相似文献

The synthesis of new α-diimine ligands containing zero and first generation dendritic wedges is described. These ligands were reacted with (COD)PdCl2 to give the corresponding palladium α-diimine complexes. The resulting palladium complexes are active in the oligomerisation of ethene and the activity was compared to a related nickel complex.  相似文献

Two kinds of Cu(II) complexes having 2,2′-bipyridine derivatives with two 1-naphthoylamide groups or two ethyl dimethylmalonylamide moieties at 6 and 6′ positions as ligands were prepared and characterized by X-ray crystallography and spectroscopic methods. Those ligands bound to the Cu(II) centers in a tetradentate fashion including two amide oxygen atoms in the equatorial planes. Those complexes were found to recognize carboxylic acids as guest molecules by coordination and additional non-covalent interactions, including intramolecular π-π interactions or hydrogen bonding.  相似文献

The interactions between a new proline-threonine dipeptide ligand with two metallic cations were investigated in aqueous solution. The metallic cations studied were the copper(II) and the nickel(II), which are involved in many biological processes. The combination of potentiometry, UV-visible spectrophotometry, EPR, and mass spectrometry was used to determine the formation constants of the complexes and their structure in solution. The complexation sites were identified using electronic absorption and EPR spectroscopies. Copper complexes were obtained as square planar or square pyramidal mononuclear species, whereas nickel complexes were obtained as dinuclear species with an octahedral geometry.  相似文献

Three new salen ligands with carbohydrate moieties were prepared from a salicylaldehyde derivative obtained by reaction of 1,2:5,6-di-O-isopropylidene-alpha-D-glucofuranose with 3-tert-butyl-5-(chloro-methyl)-2-hydroxybenzaldehyde. These ligands were coordinated with Mn(III) to give three chiral salen-Mn(III) complexes. The complexes were characterized and employed in the asymmetric epoxidation of unfunctionalized alkenes. Catalytic results showed that although there are no chiral groups on the diimine bridge, these complexes had some enantioselectivity, which indicates the carbohydrate moiety has an asymmetric inducing effect in the epoxidation reaction.  相似文献

Diiron model complexes (micro-SCH(2)CH(2)CH(2)S)Fe(2)(CO)(5)L with thioether-substitution, L=S(CH(2)CH(3))(2) (2), S(CH(2)CH(3))(CH(2)CH(2)Cl) (3), S(CH(2)CH(3))(C(6)H(5)) (4), or sulfoxide-substitution, L=SO(CH(2)CH(2)CH(3))(2) (5), SO(CH(3))(2) (6), were synthesized as active site analogues of Fe-only hydrogenase. The organosulfur ligands were introduced into the diiron centers via moderately stable intermediates following two routes. The X-ray crystallographic structures of complexes 2-6 show the apical positions of terminal organosulfur ligands. The electrochemical behaviors of the model complexes were investigated, especially for the interesting properties of the derivative of 6 which is proposed to be the first model with weak donor ligand similar to CO.  相似文献

New copper(I) complexes have been synthesised from the reaction of CuCl with 4-(diphenylphosphane)benzoic acid and lithium tris(1H-pyrazol-1-yl)methanesulfonate, Li(SO(3))C(pz)(3), sodium hydrotris(3-trifluoromethyl-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)borate, NaHB[3-(CF(3))pz](3), potassium dihydrobis(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)borate, KH(2)B(tz)(2), hydrotris(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)borate, KHB(tz)(3), sodium hydrotris(1H-pyrazol-1-yl)borate, NaHB(pz)(3), potassium hydrotris(3,5-dimethyl-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)borate KHB(3,5-Me(2)Pz)(3) or potassium hydrotris(4-bromo-1H-pyrazol-1-yl)borate KHB(4-Brpz)(3). The complexes obtained have been characterized by elemental analyses and FT-IR in the solid state, and by NMR (1H and 31P[(1)H]) spectroscopy and conductivity measurements in solution. The solution data are consistent with partial dissociation of the sterically hindered complexes by way of breaking of Cu-P and Cu-N bonds. Electrospray mass spectrometry has been used to investigate the relative properties of the 4-(diphenylphosphane)benzoic acid and of the "scorpionate" ligands towards copper(I) ions. Chemiluminescence technique was used to evaluate the superoxide scavenging activity of these new copper complexes.  相似文献

Series of polynuclear diorganotin(IV) complexes with di-halogenbenzohydroxamate ligands (substituents=2,4-Cl(2), 2,4-F(2), 3,4-F(2), 2,5-F(2), 2,6-F(2)), formulated as the polymeric [R(2)SnL](n)a (1:1) and the tetranuclear [R(4)Sn(2)(HL)(2)(L)](2)b (2:3) (HL=arylhydroxamate), were prepared and characterized by FT-IR, (1)H, (13)C, (119)Sn NMR spectroscopies, elemental analyses and melting point measurements. X-ray diffraction analyses were also carried out for the representative complexes [Me(2)Sn{2,4- F(2)C(6)H(3)C(O)NO}](n)2a and [n-Bu(4)Sn(2){2,4- F(2)C(6)H(3)C(O)NHO}(2) {2,4-F(2)C(6)H(3)C(O)NO}] (2)1b and show that the ligated mono- and di-basic forms, HL and L, of the arylhydroxamic acid (H(2)L) display the oxamic and oximic tautomeric forms, respectively. These compounds exhibit in vitro cytotoxicities toward human leukemic promyelocites HL-60, BGC-823, BEL-7402 and KB cell lines which, in some cases, are identical to, or even higher than, that of "cisplatin". The polymeric diorganotin/hydroxamato complexes a containing the long carbon chain butyl ligands are the most active ones, and the dependence of the antitumor activity of the complexes on various factors, namely the nuclearity, the organic ligand, the type, position and number of the X ring substituents, is also discussed.  相似文献

Two six-coordinated manganese(II) complexes [Mn(pydien)Cl](ClO4) · C2H5OH (1), [Mn(pydien)NCS](ClO4) (2) and two seven-coordinated manganese(II) complexes [Mn(pydado)Cl](ClO4) (3), [Mn(pydado)NCS](ClO4) (4) have been obtained using linear penta and hexadentate ligands pydien and pydado (pydien: 1,7-bis(2-pyridylmethyl)-1,4,7-triazaheptane and pydado: 1,10-bis(pyridylmethyl)-1,10-diaza-4,7-dioxadecane). The crystal structures for all compounds have been determined. 1 and 3 crystallize in the triclinic space group , 2 crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group Pbca, whereas 4 crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/c. The bound anion (chloro or isothiocyanato) in complexes 1 and 2 has no influence on the geometry of six-coordinate manganese(II) complexes, whereas the geometry and the wrapping of the hexadentate ligand (pydado) around Mn2+ cation depend on the nature of the bound anion. The complex 3 has a capped octahedron geometry with the two pyridyl groups in trans position, while the geometry of complex 4 can be described as pentagonal bipyramid with one pyridyl group and a thiocyanate anion in the axial positions.  相似文献

Copper(II) complexes supported by bulky tridentate ligands L1H (N,N-bis(2-quinolylmethyl)-2-phenylethylamine) and L1Ph (N,N-bis(2-quinolylmethyl)-2,2-diphenylethylamine) have been prepared and their crystal structures as well as some physicochemical properties have been explored. Each complex exhibits a square pyramidal structure containing a coordinated solvent molecule at an equatorial position and a weakly coordinated counter anion (or water) at an axial position. The copper(II) complexes reacted readily with H2O2 at a low temperature to give mononuclear hydroperoxo copper(II) complexes. Kinetics and DFT studies have suggested that, in the initial stage of the reaction, deprotonated hydrogen peroxide attacks the cupric ion, presumably at the axial position, to give a hydroperoxo copper(II) complex retaining the coordinated solvent molecule (H R ·S). H R ·S then loses the solvent to give a tetragonal copper(II)-hydroperoxo complex (H R ), in which the –OOH group may occupy an equatorial position. The copper(II)–hydroperoxo complex H R exhibits a relatively high O–O bond stretching vibration at 900 cm−1 compared to other previously reported examples.Electronic Supplementary Material Supplementary material is available for this article at  相似文献

The reaction of the tripod ligand hydrotris(2-mercapto-1-imidazolyl)borate Tmxylyl with zinc(II) perchlorate in methanol afforded the mononuclear complex of the type [Tmxylyl-Zn(mimxylyl)]ClO4 (1). Whereas under the same conditions, the reaction with copper(II) perchlorate gives rise to the simultaneous formation of the dinuclear copper(I) complex [TmxylylCu]2 (2). The chemical formulae of the complexes have been characterized by elemental chemical analysis, IR-NMR spectroscopies, and single crystal X-ray methods. In complex 1, the zinc(II) atom displays a distorted tetrahedral environment. While in complex 2, the Tmxylyl ligand bridges the two copper(I) atoms in an asymmetric manner with trigonal geometry. The inverted conformation of the ligand Tmxylyl at the boron center, allows the B-H units to be directed towards the copper centers. The greater reactivity of the borohydride groups towards metal centers enhances the reduction of Cu(II) to Cu(I). The obtained kinetic results for the methylation reactions of 1 and 2 indicate that these bound thione complexes are less suitable to electrophilic attack than the thiolate ligand.  相似文献

Organometallic complexes of Re(I) with ligands having opposite redox properties have been synthesized and structurally characterized. X-ray crystal structures of the complexes show typical fac-ReI(CO)3 coordination to the redox active ligands. Complete electrochemical and spectroelectrochemical studies on the ligands and the metal complexes were performed. The IR-spectroelectrochemical responses were monitored using the fac-Re(CO)3 unit as a probe. The 15-20 cm−1 hypsochromic or bathochromic shift of the νCO bands upon reduction or oxidation is attributed to ligand-centered processes.  相似文献

Abstract

A new procedure is presented for the determination of the ligands of copper(II) in natural waters, based on titration with the metal ion, monitored by measuring the concentration of copper(II) sorbed on the carboxylic resin Amberlite CG 50. The data are treated by the Ruzic linearization method to obtain the concentration of the ligands and the conditional stability constant of the complexes. Ligands with reaction coefficient αM higher than 0.1 K*w/V are detected, where K* is the ratio of the concentration of sorbed metal to the concentration of free metal in solution, which can be evaluated from the sorption equilibria of copper(II) on Amberlite CG 50, w is the amount of water in the resin phase, and V the volume of the solution phase. Some natural waters at high and low salinity were examined. The ligand concentration determined in these samples ranged from around 50 to 2000 nM, while the original copper concentrations from 11 to 130 nM. The ligand concentration was always much higher than that of copper(II). The conditional stability constants were very high, particularly in low salinity waters, where values as high as K’= 1015.7 were obtained. In high salinity waters values around 109 were found for the complex formation constant of the ligands titrated with copper(II). The investigation was also extended to a model solution, containing EDTA, obtaining K’ = 1015.5, in acceptable agreement with that evaluated from the literature values.  相似文献
