Two new μ-oxamido-bridged binuclear copper(II) complexes with formulae of [Cu2(heae)(pic)2] (1) and [Cu2(heae)(Me2phen)2](ClO4)2 · H2O (2), where heae and pic stand for the anion of N,N′-bis(N-hydroxyethylaminoethyl)oxamide and 2,4,6-trinitrophenol, respectively, and Me2phen represents 2,9-dimethyl-1,10-phenanthroline; have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, molar conductivity measurements, IR and electronic spectra studies. The crystal structures of the two binuclear copper(II) complexes have been determined by X-ray single-crystal diffraction. In both the two binuclear complexes the central two copper(II) atoms are bridged by trans-heae. In complex 1 the coordination environment around each copper(II) atom can be described as a distorted octahedral geometry, while in complex 2 each copper(II) atom displays a square-pyramid stereochemistry. Hydrogen bonding and π-π stacking interactions link the binuclear copper(II) complex 1 or 2 into a 3D infinite network. The cytotoxicities of the two binuclear copper(II) complexes were tested by Sulforhodamine B (SRB) assays against human hepatocellular carcinoma cell SMMC-7721 and human lung adenocarcinoma cell A549. Both of the two binuclear copper(II) complexes exhibit potent cytotoxic effects against SMMC-7721 and A549 cell lines. The interactions of the two binuclear complexes with herring sperm DNA (HS-DNA) are investigated by using absorption and emission spectra and electrochemical techniques and viscometry. The results suggest that both the two binuclear copper(II) complexes interact with HS-DNA in the mode of intercalation with the intrinsic binding constants of 1.73 × 105 M−1 (1) and 1.92 × 106 M−1 (2). The influence of structural variation of the terminal ligands in the binuclear complexes on DNA-binding properties is preliminarily discussed.  相似文献

2,2′-Dipyridylketone (dpk), when acting as a chelating ligand for PdII or PtII, is in slow equilibrium with its corresponding gem-diol form (dpk·H2O). In D2O, equilibrium constants K = (dpk·H2O)/(dpk) change from ca. 0.04 for the free ligand to ca. 3 in the corresponding complexes with cis-[Pt(H2O)2]2+. In solution, species of both ligands can be identified and differentiated by 1H NMR spectroscopy, and in the trinuclear μ-OH bridged PtII complex [Pt3(μ-OH)3(dpk·H2O)2(dpk)](NO3)3·4.5H2O (4), both types of ligands are present simultaneously in a ratio of (dpk·H2O):(dpk) = 2. As demonstrated with a series of PdII complexes containing dpk·H2O and dpk ligands, a straightforward differentiation is possible when DMSO-d6 is used as solvent, because then also the OH protons of dpk·H2O are observable. It is also shown that monocrystalline [PdCl2(dpk·H2O)] (1), when dissolved in DMSO-d6, partially converts, with loss of H2O, to [PdCl2(dpk)].  相似文献

The synthesis and characterization of rare-earth (La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Tm, Yb, Lu and Y) thiocyanate adducts with tripiperidinophosphine oxide (tpppO) with general formula (RE)(SCN)3(tpppO)3 are reported. Conductance measurements in acetonitrile indicate the non-electrolytic nature of the complexes. Infrared absorption spectra evidence that the SCN ion coordinates through the nitrogen atom (isothiocyanate form) and that tpppO coordinates through the phosphoryl oxygen. X-ray powder patterns suggest the existence of three different crystal forms: (1) La; (2) an isomorphous series including Ce, Nd and Pr; and (3) another isomorphous series, including Sm, Gd, Eu, Ho, Er, Tb, Lu and Y. The visible spectra of the Nd adduct and the calculated parameters β = 0.98, b1/2 = 0.072 and δ = 1.06 indicate that the metal-ligand bonds are essentially electrostactic. The emission spectra of the Eu compound showed 5D0 → 7FJ bands (J = 0, 1, 2), suggesting a C3v symmetry for the coordination polyhedron. The lifetime of the 5D0 state is 1.28 ms. The emission spectra of the Tb complex presented 5D4 → 7FJ bands (J = 4, 5, 6) and the Dy complex showed the 4F9/2 → 6H13/2 band. The structure of the Pr complex showed that the coordination polyhedron is a trigonal antiprism, with the isothiocyanate anions in one base and three tpppO ligands in the other. Thermal analyses (TG-DTG) were carried out for the Ce, Nd and Gd adducts. Mass losses start between 250 and 334 °C. The final residues at 1300 °C are the corresponding phosphates.  相似文献

To complete the elucidation of the electrochemical properties of MnII-bis(terpyridine) complexes in CH3CN and evaluate the influence of the bulkiness of the terpy substituents, the oxidation processes of [MnII(L)2]2+ (L = terpy for 2,2′:6′,2″-terpyridine, pTol-terpy for 4′-(4-methylphenyl)-2,2′:6′,2″-terpyridine and tBu3-terpy for 4,4′,4″-tri-tert-butyl-2,2′:6′,2″-terpyridine) have been investigated in aqueous (1 M) CH3CN solution. In this medium, exhaustive oxidations at 1.10-1.20 V versus Ag/Ag+ release two electrons per molecule of initial complex and lead to clean dimerization processes with the quantitative formation of the oxo-bridged binuclear [Mn2IVO2(L)2(H2O)2]4+ complex for L = tBu3-terpy and of the tetranuclear [Mn4IVO5(L)4(H2O)2]6+ complexes for L = terpy and pTol-terpy. The formation of the tetranuclear complex with the tBu3-terpy derivative is prevented by the steric hindrance induced by the bulkiness of the tert-butyl groups, as confirmed by molecular mechanics calculations, as well as by their strong electron-donating properties. All these electrogenerated multinuclear complexes have been fully characterized in solution by UV-vis and electron paramagnetic resonance (EPR) spectroscopy. A markedly improved chemical synthesis of [Mn4IVO5(terpy)4(H2O)2]6+ is also reported.  相似文献

Two new neutral, binuclear CuIICuII bis(oxamato) complexes with the formula [Cu2(opba)(pmdta)(MeOH)] · 1/2MeOH · dmf (3) and [Cu2(nabo)(pmdta)(MeOH)] (4), with opba = o-phenylene-bis(oxamato), nabo = 2,3-naphthalene-bis(oxamato), pmdta = N,N,N′,N″,N″-pentamethyldiethylenetriamine and dmf = dimethylformamide have been synthesized and their crystal structures have been determined. The structure of 3 consists of dimeric [Cu2(opba)(pmdta)(MeOH)] entities, joined together by mutual intermolecular Cu?O contacts of the Cu2+ ion of one [Cu(opba)]2− complex fragment and one carboxylate atom of the oxamato group of a second [Cu(opba)]2− complex fragment. The structure of 4 consists of neutral binuclear complexes joined together by hydrogen bonds and π-π interactions, giving rise to an unique supramolecular 1D-chain. The magnetic properties of 3 and 4 were studied by susceptibility measurements versus temperature. For the intramolecular J parameter, identical values of (−114 ± 2) cm−1 (3) and (−112 ± 2) cm−1 (4) were obtained.  相似文献

The binuclear mixed valence copper(I/II) compound [CuI(CN)3CuII(tn)2] (1) (tn = propane-1,3-diamine) and its acetonitrile adduct [CuI(CN)3CuII(tn)2] · 2MeCN (2) have been synthesized. Complex 1 crystallizes triclinic, space group , a = 8.117(2) Å, b = 8.389(2) Å, c = 11.920(2) Å, α = 108.728(3)°, β = 100.024(3)°, γ = 104.888(4)°, Z = 2, and compound 2 monoclinic, space group P21/m, a = 8.752(2) Å, b = 13.243(3) Å, c = 9.549(2) Å, β = 114.678(4)°, Z = 2. In both crystal structures, the binuclear [CuI(CN)3CuII(tn)2] complex with slightly different bonding geometries is formed. One of the three nitrogen atoms of a CuI(CN)3 moiety is coordinated to Cu(II) at the apex of a square-pyramid with two chelating ligands tn on its base. The shortest intramolecular CuII?CuII distance in 1 is 5.640(7) Å. The EPR behaviour of 1 has been investigated at room temperature and at 77 K. The magnetic properties were measured in the temperature range 1.8-300 K.  相似文献

The syntheses and characterization of novel binuclear chromium (III) complexes of 1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane (cyclam) are described. The complex [(cyclam)Cr(OH)]2Cl4 · 7H2O (1) crystallizes in the monoclinic space group C2/c with four binuclear formula units in a cell of dimensions a = 17.403 (2), b = 16.803 (3), c = 12.708 (2) Å, and β = 100.83 (1)°. The cation in 1 consists of di-μ-hydroxodichromium (III) units. The bridging OH groups lie on a twofold axis, which relates one end of the dimer to the other and gives rise to a rigorously planar Cr2O2 bridging unit. The Cr?Cr separation is 3.122 (1) Å and the average bridging Cr-O-Cr angle is 104.6 (4)°. The complex [(cyclam)Cr(SO4)]2 (ClO4) · H2O (5) crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P21/c with two binuclear formula units in a cell of dimensions a = 9.516 (2), b = 13.263 (3), c = 14.870 (3) Å, and β = 104.08 (3)°. This cation consists of bis-μ-sulfato-di-chromium (III) units, in which the two chromium centers are bridged by two bridging sulfate groups leading to an eight-membered {Cr-O-S-O}2 bridging framework. Both dimers exhibit antiferromagnetic interactions, with J = 27.7 cm−1 for complex 1 and J = 4.7 cm−1 for complex 5. The EPR spectrum of the complex 1 has been simulated, demonstrating that the spectrum almost entirely originates from the quintet state, while a few lines can be attributed as triplet and septet transitions.  相似文献

A new ligand, 1-(pyridin-2-yl)-N-(pyridin-2-ylmethyl)-N-(thiophen-3-ylmethyl)methanamine, ThDPA, was synthesized, as a new example of an N3S donor. Cu(II) complexes of this ligand were isolated. When Cu(NO3)2 was used as the metal source, a homobinuclear complex with the formula [CuThDPA(NO3)2]2·H2O, 1, with two different types of nitro coordination was isolated. 1 crystallizes in the monoclinic P21/n space group with a = 15.193, b = 8.181, c = 32.827 Å, β = 103.3° and V = 3971.9 Å3. In the case of CuSO4 as the source of copper(II), uncommon sulfato-bridged structures were isolated. The homobinuclear complex crystallized in two different lattices, depending on the solvent evaporation rate. Compound 2, with the formula [CuThDPA(SO4)]2·3H2O, crystallizes with 3 water molecules per binuclear structure in the monoclinic space group P21/c with a = 10.143, b = 17.013, c = 11.793 Å, β = 97.18° and V = 2019.1 Å3, and 3, [CuThDPA(SO4)]2·4H2O, crystallizes with 4 water molecules per binuclear structure in the triclinic space group, with a = 9.2906, b = 10.7297, c = 12.7236 Å, α = 79.66, β = 72.18, γ = 67.1° and V = 1109.7 Å3.  相似文献

The macrocyclic symmetrical and a series of unsymmetrical binuclear copper(II) complexes have been synthesized by using mononuclear complex [CuL] [3,3′-((1E,7E)-3,6-dioxa-2,7-diazaocta-1,7-diene-1,8-diyl)bis(3-formyl-5-methyl-2-diolato)copper(II)]. Another compartment of the [CuL] have been condensed with various diamines like 1,2-bis(aminooxy)ethane (L1), 1,2-diamino ethane(L2a), 1,3-diamino propane(L2b), 1,4-diamino butane(L2c), 1,2-diamino benzene(L2d), 1,8-diamino naphthalene(L2e) and characterized by elemental, spectroscopic, and X-ray crystallographic methods. The influence of the coordination geometry and the ring size of the binucleating ligands on the electronic, redox, magnetic, catecholase activity, DNA binding and cleavage properties have been studied. The molecular structures of the symmetrical binuclear complex [Cu2L1(H2O)2](ClO4)2 (1) and unsymmetrical binuclear complex [Cu2L2b(ClO4)(H2O)]ClO4 (2b) were determined by X-ray crystallography. Both of them were discrete binuclear species in which each Cu(II) ions are in distorted square pyramid. The Cu?Cu distances vary from 3.0308 (2b) to 3.0361 Å (1). Electrochemical studies evidenced that two quasi-reversible one electron-transfer reduction waves −0.91 to −1.01 V, −1.26 to −1.55 V) for binuclear complexes are obtained in the cathodic region. Cryomagnetic investigation of the binuclear complexes reveals a weak antiferromagnetic spin exchange interaction between the Cu(II) ions within the complexes (−2J = 104.4-127.5 cm−1). The initial rate (Vin) for the oxidation of 3,5-di-tert-butylcatechol to o-quinone by the binuclear Cu(II)complexes are in the range 3.6 × 10−5 to 7.3 × 10−5 Ms−1. The binuclear Cu(II) complexes are avid binders to calf thymus DNA. The complexes display significant oxidative cleavage of circular plasmid pBR322 DNA in the presence of mercaptoethanol using the singlet oxygen as a reactive species. The aromatic diamine condensed macrocyclic ligands of copper(II) complexes display better DNA interaction and significant chemical nuclease activity than the aliphatic diamine condensed macrocyclic Cu(II) complexes.  相似文献

Solution studies on the complexes of the type [Ln(hfaa)3(phen)2] (Ln = La, Pr and Nd) and [Ln(hfaa)3phen] (Ln = Nd, Ho, Er and Yb; hfaa stands for the anion of 1,1,1,5,5,5-hexafluoro-2,4-pentanedione and phen stands for 1,10-phenanthroline) are presented. These complexes are synthesized in high yields by an in situ method in which hfaa, ammonium hydroxide, lanthanide chlorides and phen were allowed to react in 3:3:1:1 molar ratio in ethanol. In the case of neodymium both eight- and ten-coordinate complexes are isolated. The paramagnetic shifts of the methine protons of β-diketone have their sign opposed to those of paramagnetic shifts of phen protons and the shifts are dominated by dipolar interactions. The inter- and intramolecular shift ratios have been calculated and discussed. The 4f-4f absorption spectra of the complexes of Pr, Nd, Ho and Er are analyzed. The eight- and ten-coordinate neodymium complexes display distinctively different band shapes of the 4G5/2,2G7/2 ← 4I9/2 hypersensitive transition. The efficient energy transfer from ligand to Pr(III) is reflected by strong red luminescence of this complex at room temperature.  相似文献

Enhanced electrochemical resolution of anodic processes is possible in the presence of [N(nBu)4][B(C6F5)4], 1, as supporting electrolyte over that obtained in the presence of [N(nBu)4][PF6]. By changing the anion of the supporting electrolyte to a salt having [B(C6F5)4], anions, electrochemical processes of especially cationic analytes can benefit. Thus, the redox chemistry of 0.5 mmol dm−3 solutions of [Ru2(μ-FcCOO)4·(CH3CH2OH)2][PF6], 2, Fc = ferrocenyl, in CH2Cl2/[N(nBu)4][B(C6F5)4] were found to involve four well-resolved ferrocenyl-based electrochemical reversible redox processes as well as reduction of RuIII-RuII. At 1.0 mmol dm−3 concentrations of 2, or in the presence of [N(nBu)4][PF6], the four ferrocenyl processes coalesced into only two waves as a result of (Fc+)?() ion paring. Seventeen of the possible 18 one-electron transfer processes of the biscadmium trisphthalocyaninato complex [Cd2{Pc(C6H13)8}3], 3, could be observed in THF/[N(nBu)4][B(C6F5)4], but the electrochemical window of CH2Cl2/[N(nBu)4][B(C6F5)4] only allowed detection of 15 of these processes. Although reduction processes were unaffected, THF solvation leading to species such as (3n+)(THF)x with 1 ? n ? 4 and x ? 1 as well as ion pair formation of the type (3n+)?() prevented good resolution of oxidation processes. The CH2Cl2/[N(nBu)4][B(C6F5)4] system also allowed detection of reversible one-electron transfer ferrocenyl (Fc/Fc+) and ruthenocenyl-based (Rc/Rc+) processes for both enol and keto isomers of the β-diketone FcCOCH2CORc, 4, Rc = ruthenocenyl. In CH3CN/[N(nBu)4][PF6], the ruthenocenyl moiety was oxidised to a RuIV species.  相似文献

Two new binuclear copper complexes, [Cu2(oxpn)(bpy)(pic)(H2O)](pic) (1) and [Cu2(oxpn)(Me2bpy)(pic)](pic) (2) [H2oxpn = N,N′-bis(3-aminopropyl)oxamide; Hpic = 2,4,6-trinitrophenol; bpy = 2,2′-bipyridine; Me2bpy = 4,4′-dimethyl-2,2′-bipyridine], have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analyses, conductivity measurements, IR, UV-visible spectroscopy and single crystal X-ray analyses. Both complexes have similar molecular structures. In complex 1, the central two Cu(II) atoms are bridged by cis-oxpn2− with the Cu1-Cu2 separation of 5.221 Å and the polyhedron of each copper atom is a square-pyramid. Similarly, complex 2 is a cis-oxpn2−-bridged binuclear complex with the Cu1-Cu2 separation of 5.196 Å. Cu1(II) central atom situated in a tetrahedral geometry is four-coordinated and Cu(II) atom situated in a square-pyramidal geometry is five-coordinated. Hydrogen bonding interactions and π-π stacking interactions link the binuclear copper complex 1 or 2 into a 2D infinite network. The antibacterial assays indicate that the two complexes showed better activities than their ligands. The interactions of the two binuclear complexes with herring sperm DNA (HS-DNA) have been studied by UV absorption titration, fluorescence titration and viscosity measurements. The results suggest that the two binuclear complexes bind to HS-DNA via an intercalative mode.  相似文献

The silver(I) salts [AgOR] (3a, R = C9H6N; 3b, R = C6H4-2-CHO, 3c, R = C6H4-2-Cl; 3d, R = C6H4-2-CN; 3e, R = C6H4-2-NO2) are accessible by the stoichiometric reaction of [AgNO3] (1) with HOR (2a, R = C9H6N; 2b, R = C6H4-2-CHO; 2c, R = C6H4-2-Cl; 2d, R = C6H4-2-CN; 2e, R = C6H4-2-NO2) in presence of NEt3. Treatment of 3a-3e with PnBu3 (4), P(OMe)3 (5a) or P(OCH2CF3)3 (5b) in the ratios of 1:1 and 1:2, respectively, produced complexes [LmAgOR] (L = PnBu3, = 1: 6a, R = C9H6N; 6b, R = C6H4-2-CHO; 6c, R = C6H4-2-Cl; 6d, R = C6H4-2-CN; 6e, R = C6H4-2-NO2. = 2: 7a, R = C9H4; 7b, R = C6H4-2-CHO; 7c, R = C6H4-2-Cl; 7d, R = C6H4-2-CN; 7e, R = C6H4-2-NO2. L = P(OMe)3, = 1: 8a, R = C6H4-2-CHO; 8b, R = C6H4-2-NO2. = 2: 9, R = C6H4-2-NO2. L = P(OCH2CF3)3, = 1: 10, R = C6H4-2-NO2). Based on TGA, temperature-programmed and in situ molecular beam mass spectrometry metal-organic 7e was applied as CVD precursor in the deposition of silver onto glass substrates. The resulting silver films were characterized by XRD. The SEM image of a film grown from 7e at 350 °C showed a homogeneous surface with grain sizes of 40 nm. The molecular structures of 8b and 10 in the solid state were determined. They are isostructural and are cubane-like structured. Low-temperature 31P{1H} NMR studies showed that the title complexes are dynamic in solution and exchange at room temperature their ligands.  相似文献

A novel chain-like luminescent samarium coordination polymer {Sm3(C8H4O4)4(C12N2H8)2(NO3)}n (C8H4O4 = phthalate, C12N2H8 = 1,10-phenanthroline) has been assembled by hydrothermal process. The title complex crystallizes in the monoclinic system, space group P2(1)/c, with lattice parameters a = 22.56(3) Å, b = 11.155(15) Å, c = 20.32(3) Å, β = 96.70(2)°, V = 5078(12) Å3, F(000) = 2964, GOF = 0.857, R1 = 0.0358, wR2 = 0.0597, Z = 4. Samarium ions exhibit different coordination modes from each other and lead to the unexpected high asymmetrical structure. To our knowledge, it is the first example of lanthanide coordination polymers comprising the three asymmetrical central Sm3+ fragments. The photophysical properties have been studied with excitation and emission spectra.  相似文献

New (Q)2SnR2 derivatives (HQ in general; in detail: HQCHPh2 = 4-diphenylacetyl-3-methyl-1-phenyl-5-pyrazolone; HQBn = 3-methyl-1-phenyl-4-phenylacetyl-5-pyrazolone; HQnaph = 3-methyl-4-naphthoyl-1-phenyl-5-pyrazolone; R = CH3, C2H5, C6H11, n- and t-C4H9, C6H5,) have been synthesised and characterised by analytical and spectral techniques. Variable temperature NMR studies of (QCHPh2)2SnR2 derivatives (R = CH3 and C2H5) in chlorohydrocarbon solvents indicate a fluxional behaviour, with rapid interconversion between six- and five-coordinate species, the latter containing a bidentate acylpyrazolonate and a monodentate one. The X-ray crystal structures of the diorganotin(IV) derivatives (QCHPh2)2SnMe2, (QCHPh2)2SnEt2, (QBn)2SnMe2 and , inclusive of a representative of each Qx family, show the metal centres in a skewed trans octahedral configuration. The 4-acyl moiety of the β-diketonate donor exerts a steric effect which is correlated to structural behaviour in the solid and solution state. A solid state 119Sn CPMAS NMR study of the (QBn)2SnR2 (R = CH3, C2H5, t-C4H9 and C6H5) complexes shows a marked deshielding effect and upfield movement of the 119Sn isotropic chemical shift (δiso) through this series. The 119Sn chemical shift spans (Ω) are the largest reported for directly oxo-coordinated Sn(IV) systems, although the markedly reduced Ω value for the (QBn)2SnPh2 complex may be indicative of a cis octahedral coordination, in contrast to the trans octahedral coordination characterising the other complexes of this suite.  相似文献

The organometallic tin(IV) complexes [SnPh2(SRF)2] SRF = SC6F4-4-H (1), SC6F5 (2), were synthesized and their reactivity with [MCl2(PPh3)2] M = Ni, Pd and Pt explored. Thus, transmetallation products were obtained affording polymeric [Ni(SRF)(μ-SRF)]n, monomeric cis-[Pt(PPh3)2(SC6F4-4-H)2] (3) and cis-[Pt(PPh3)2(SC6F5)2] (4) and dimeric species [Pd(PPh3)(SC6F4-4-H)(μ-SC6F4-4-H)]2 (5) and [Pd(PPh3)(SC6F5)(μ-SC6F5)]2 (6) for Ni, Pt and Pd, respectively. The crystal structures of complexes 1, 2, 3, 4 and 6 were determined.  相似文献

The binuclear cyclopalladated compounds [(SCS)Pd-pz-Pd(SCS)][BF4]2 (pz = pyrazine) 2a, [(SCS)Pd-bipy-Pd(SCS)][BF4]2 (bipy = 4,4′-bipyridine) 2b, [(SCS)Pd-dcb-Pd(SCS)][BF4]2 (dcb = 1,4-dicyanobenzene) 2c and [(SCS)Pd-tmeda-Pd(SCS)][BF4]2 (tmeda = N,N,N′,N′-tetramethylethylenediamine) 2d (SCS = {C6H3-2,6-(CH2SC6H4F-4)2}) were synthesized by a substitution reaction between the pincer unit [Pd(C6H3-2,6-(CH2SC6H4F-4)2)Cl] 1 and the corresponding bidentate nitrogenated ligands. The topology of the bridging ligand between both pincer units induces the aggregation of the organometallic cations in the solid state. The X-ray diffraction molecular structures of complexes 2a and 2d are also reported.  相似文献

A blue luminescent dichlorido-bridged dinuclear copper(II) (S = 1/2) complex, [CuII2(HL)2(μ-Cl)2]·2H2O, 1a was synthesized with the 1:1 reaction of the acyclic tridentate salicylaldehyde 2-pyridyl hydrazone ligand, HL, 1. The complex 1a displays multiple bands in the visible region (400-470 nm). The association constant (Kass, UV-Vis) was found to be 1.186 × 104 for 1a at 298 K. The copper(II)-copper(III) oxidation potential lies near 0.32 V versus Ag/AgCl electrode. On excitation at 390 nm, the ligand 1 strongly emits at 444 nm due to an intraligand 1(π-π) transition. Upon complexation with copper(II) the emission peak is slightly red shifted (λex 390 nm, λem 450 nm, F/F0 0.81) with little quenching. Molecular structure of 1a (Cu···Cu 3.523 Å) has been determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction studies. DFT and TDDFT calculations strongly support the spectral behavior of the ligand and the complex. The complex 1a exhibits a strong interaction towards DNA as revealed from the Kb (intrinsic binding constant) 2.05 × 104 M−1 and Ksv (Stern-Volmer quenching constant) 2.47 values. The complex exhibits cytotoxic effect and the LD50 value for HeLa cells was calculated as 5.44 μM at which the cell cycle was arrested at G2/M phase.  相似文献

A new rare variety asymmetric μ2-1,1-azido bridged copper(II) complex has been synthesized and characterized structurally and magnetically. The complex [Cu2L22-1,1-N3)2] · H2O · CH3OH (L = 1-(N-ortho-hydroxyacetophenimine)-2-aminoethane) (1), crystallizes in monoclinic space group, P21/n, with a = 9.469(4) Å, b = 12.526(8) Å, c = 12.899(10) Å, β = 105.79(6)°, V = 1472.2(16) Å3. X-ray study reveals that he Cu-N(azide)-Cu angles in this complex is 90.4°. This is unusually low in comparison to that of the same angle in other end-on azido-bridged binuclear complexes. Though a strong ferromagnetic interaction between the metal centers is expected in the complex, the coupling has actually been found to be antiferromagnetic (J = −4.2 cm−1), instead. To rationalize this paradoxical magnetic behavior, DFT calculation of this and other four complexes with very similar structure have been performed within broken symmetry framework. The calculated magnetic coupling constants (J) are in excellent agreement, both in sign and in the magnitude of the exchange interaction, with the experimental data, and the spin density map is correctly reproduced.  相似文献
