The indirect effect of hemoglobin on the electrophoretic mobility of human blood erythrocytes

Using the factor analysis, it was shown that the total content of hemoglobin in human blood plays a limited and indirect role in the regulation of average electrophoretic mobility of erythrocytes. In this case, it is not the only parameter governing this level. The statistical relationship between the total content of hemoglobin and erythrocyte mobility in electrical field is not stable and is determined by the dependence of both indices on their common factor of control of erythroid homeostasis.     

Anti-arrhythmic effect of tetrodotoxin in the late stage of experimental myocardial infarct]

The action of tetrodotoxin (TT), blocking the fast sodium current, on arrhythmias that occurred 24 hours after occlusion of the coronary artery was studied in 10 dogs. TT injected intravenously in doses of 0.5--3.0 micrograms/kg significantly decreased the number of ventricular extrasystoles, and completely restored sinum rhythm in 4 animals. The maximum antiarrhythmic effect was noted 3 to 5 minutes after TT adminstration. It is suggested that arrhythmias and the antiarrhythmic effect of the drugs in the late stage of myocardial infarction are connected with the fast inward sodium current.     

The effect of phosphoenolpyruvate on the course of the acute period in experimental myocardial infarct]

It was found in the experiments on dogs, that phosphoenolpyruvate decreased the level of regional metabolic acidosis, stabilized energy metabolism, cardiohemodynamics and enhanced the blood supply of the ischemic myocardium. Anti-ischemic effect of the phosphoenolpyruvate was more significant in comparison with fructose-1,6-diphosphate in isomolar doses.     

The effect of immune complexes on the electrophoretic mobility of sheep erythrocytes

Influence of concentration of aggregated immunoglobulins with varying molecular weights on the electrophoretic mobility of ram erythrocytes has been explored. It was shown, that electrophoretic mobility of ram erythrocytes depend on the quantity and the size of adsorption complexes.     

The effect of strophanthin following administration of homocardiac antigen to animals with experimental myocardial infarct]

A study was made of strophanthin sensitivity and hemodynamic effect of glycosidein immunization of rabbits with a homocardiac antigen on the 1st, 3rd and 5th days after the reproduction of myocardial infarction. The titre of anticardiac autoantibodies proved to decrease on the 10th day after the ligation of the coronary artery, and also there was a sharp reduction of strophanthin sensitivity by the values of the minimal lethal dose and the toxic one (causing cardiac arrhthmia). Changes in strophanthin tolerance under conditions of administration of the antigen from the myocardium with infarction are associated with the intensive immunopathological shifts in the heart.     

The effect of hyperglycemia on the development of experimental myocardial infarct

Experiment on 72 dogs has shown that myocardial infarction (M1) against a background of hyperglycemia proceeds as shifts healing hyperactive MI. Shifts in carbohydrate metabolism results in disturbances of dynamics of the necrotic infarction zone processes that induces complications of healing changes in the content of myoglobin, creatine kinase, aspartateaminotransferase with MI against a background of hyperglycemia greatly differ from those typical of noncomplicated and complicated hyperactive MI.
