Phylogenetic relationships among fungi belonging to the family of Ustilaginaceae (genera Microbotryum, Sphacelotheca, Ustilago, Sporisorium) are inferred from a parsimony analysis using the ITS sequences of nuclear ribosomal genes. The introduction in the phylogeny of sequences from species of Suillus, Puccinia and Taphrina as outgroup shows the polyphyletism of this family. These results support the division of this taxon into two groups: Ustilaginaceae s. str. formed only by the pathogens of Poaceae, and Microbotryaceae constituted by the pathogens of Dicotyledons. Furthermore, we proposed to extend the host plant spectrum of Ustilaginaceae s. str. to all the Monocotyledons. Several discriminating characteristics are listed to support this distinction.  相似文献

Intra-cavernous injection of vasoactive substances has dramatically modified the medical approach of erectile dysfunction. There are psychological and ethical difficulties to this therapeutic procedure, and it is likely that they do contribute to the high drop out rate encountered with this method. According to our clinical experience, we suggest several attitudes in order to facilitate patient's and partner's acceptance:
  • ? There is no opposition between psychotherapy and intra-cavernous injection, they may be regarded as complementary.
  • ? It is advisable to find means to reduce the fear induced by self injection, by reassuring the patient, and making the act easier by choosing the most simple injection material. The pharmacological action must be explained, as well as the side effects.
  • ? Pharmacologically induced erection is often described as artificial, although intra-cavernous injection of vasoactive substances is a symptomatic treatment just as many other symptomatic treatments. It compensates a functional insufficiency, restoring a physiological state very close to normal as far as erection is concerned, but has no effect on sexual excitation, glans intumescence and the development of the ejaculatory climax reflex. The sexuel relation's erotization lays only within the couple, and remains entirely apart from any iatrogenic effect.
  • ? Should the treatment remain secret? Inta-cavernous injection must not systematically be performed withtout the partner knowing about it, although the act should remain discrete and intimate.
  • One should not encounter psychic or ethical difficulties in erectile dysfunction treatment with intra-cavernous injection of vasoactive substances, provided that it has been properly prescribed, well explained, and that it is part of a psychotherapy. It is doubtless that many refusals or therapy withdrawals are caused by poor or lack of technical initiation, on one hand, and by not taking into account the psychic and ethical aspects of the method, on the other hand.  相似文献

The Glénan Archipelago was investigated, from the surface to a depth of 60 m, byScuba diving. Four distinct communities (“peuplements”) have been determined that fit into the system of zonation defined by the Genoa Symposium (1957). The results are compared with observations made in the English Channel (Cabioch 1968) and in the Atlantic Ocean (Glemarec 1971). Since illumination depends upon the angle of the rocky face, photophilic species exhibit a maximum range when the rock surfaces are horizontal. The sublittoral zone is dominated by laminarians. They form two distinct communities with the animal and vegetal species they overshadow. The upper community is characterized byLaminaria digitata (Linné)Lamouroux (horizontal rocky face from 0 to 6 m; vertical rocky face from +0.5 to ?3 m). The lower cummunity, characterized byL. hyperborea (Gunner)Foslie has a greater vertical extension (horizontal: ?6 m to ?26 m; vertical: ?3 to ?30 m). The circalittoral zone is colonized by several animal species growing in a ramified manner: the upper community is characterized by Axinellidae (?30 m), the lower byDendrophyllia cornigera (Lamarck) (?55 to ?60 m). Upright algae disappear somewhere between ?40 and ?47 m.  相似文献

    Introduction

Secondary infertility is defined as the inability to achieve a new pregnancy for a couple that has been able to procreate in the past.

    Material and methods

Over a 16-year period, 49 patients consulted for male secondary infertility. Clinical, laboratory or ultrasound assessment demonstrated the cause of infertility.

    Results

These patients had a mean age of 33.6 years (range: 26 to 44 years). These couples had an average of 1 living child per family, corresponding to a girl in two-thirds of cases and a boy in one-third. In these patients, infertility was due to the presence of varicocele in 15 patients (31% of cases), infection in 14 patients (29%), and varicocele associated with infection in 11 cases (22%).

    Conclusion

This assessment revealed two main aetiologies, but some causes remain obvious, such as surgery with resection of the prostate or testicles, or certain cytotoxic therapies.  相似文献
